It was beyond Ryu's own mind that he had come on this school trip downtown into the old art museum; he had no reason to go, but at the same time, it wasn't like he had anything else to do this Friday. Maybe it was the fact every other day of the week had been shitty... a sunny day with a cool, gentle breeze was a nice break from the constant rain and thunderstorms. The harsh weather had always put the teen on edge, secretly being afraid of lightning ever since he was a kid. It was a stupid thing to fear, though the delinquent can most certainly reassure you that nothing else did. He always carried a knife, his cigarettes and his dragon encrusted lighter to ensure the maximum bad boy look.

Inside the elegant, marble floored art museum, the blue haired boy resided at the end of the class group, preferring to stay behind and look at everyone else's backs instead of the other way around. Ryu didn't think he cared about art whatsoever, but the paintings on the walls around them looked old, yet stunning at the same time. This art hall had pieces that looked so real, it seemed like he was staring into another world instead of a picture. Now he was starting to see why Jun-senpai was so obsessed with art... but only a little, because as soon as Ryu saw the man focus on something else, he turned 180 degrees and headed off in another direction. He went on this trip to relax, not to become a duckling following it's mother's bum.

That field trip to the local art museum was what Jun Liu had looked forward to for days. Not only because he got out of work (truthfully, he didn't because he was still looking after his students), but because he was at one of the places he loved most. The day had been sunny and warm… that was great. But Jun Liu didn't care that much. After all, he was at an art museum: the place where his field of work was most appreciated. Jun Liu was a teacher at a local high school. He taught art, art history, and art criticism. As much as he loved his study, he cared about his students.

Jun found himself looking and reading the descriptions of each exhibition. As the tour guide showed the class the local art exhibit, Jun stood behind the group of his art class and intensely looked at a local painting. The painting was an example of an abstract expressionism piece; it projected swirls in white, red, and blue with a yellow back ground. Despite being so… as the students called it… bland, Jun found everything in the museum equally entertaining.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a familiar student of his. The student was separating from the group. It must have been that Ryu… Ryu was a delinquent, point blank. He smoked, carried weapons, etc. And for some reason, he reminded Jun of himself back in high school. In fact, in high school, Jun had been known as a maniac because he simply… well, he simply fought and acted up. Finally, when he was about to graduate, a sensei knocked some sense into him. And because of this sensei, Jun found himself responsible for steering troubled and misbehaving students. Feeling the integrity as a teacher, Jun followed behind Ryu, ready to bust him.

Going back down the hall they had just went by, the boy found himself thinking back to when he was just a little pipsqueak kid. He liked to draw, though only scribbled stick figures in crayons. Ryu had pride in everything in him even at this age, so when he showed it to his mom and pop excitedly, even the look of pure apathy across their faces didn't stop the boy from putting his pictures on the fridge. That was long ago, and the only 'art' he did on some occasions were write cusses in black spray paint on city walls. It wasn't it being necessarily cool breaking the law, it was more of a rush thing. The thrill of doing things he wasn't supposed to made his skin tingle and goosebumps rise in excitement.

Teachers and strangers alike warned him that with a thought process like his, eventually Ryu would be dumped in prison. The delinquent laughed at those people because why would that scare him? He'd always seen himself as someone one would fear. He knew how to fight, he wasn't soft and under that pretty face was the toughest, most wildest wolf ever to exist. With his chest always puffed up, Ryu put his hands in his pockets, grabbing at his special, lucky lighter. The unique item was found at a pawn shop; and with a pull of some strings and a few trade ins, the dragon lighter was all his.

Lost in thought, the teen hadn't realized that he was being followed until hearing footsteps right behind him. Ryu turned his head and to his dismay there was that damn art teacher... Rolling his eyes with a huff, the blue haired boy looked back ahead and pretended Jun-Senpai wasn't even there.

Once Ryu noticed that Jun had been following him, he rolled his eyes and ignored him. Jun sighed and shook his head. What in the world was this delinquent trying to do? Jun knew those types of kids because… well, he used to be exactly just like him. Jun Liu used to fight. He used to smoke. He used to vandalize things. It had been in his nature as the school's head "bad boy".

Looking back on it, Jun hated that image that he had created for himself. He hated being feared by everyone. Yeah, it made him seem cool, but after a while, he noticed that he wasn't getting anything done. He wasn't going to graduate. He wasn't going to get married or have children (which he still hasn't). Jun didn't want one of his students to turn out badly. He felt that it was wrong.

"Hey, Ryu-kun! Come 'ere, right now!" he called, letting his (unknown and undetermined) accent ring through the empty hall.

Ryu had hoped that, just like a scrape, if left alone, the teacher would just go away. Well... He knew better than to think this man would just leave. Jun-Senpai was always relentless with the boy's actions; he just didn't understand why the art teacher cared anyways. It was annoying because after every little encounter with him, it always made Ryu confused on it's purposes. The teen always made it clear that he wasn't going to change. All the fights, the trouble he'd cause and the burning in his chest to be this way were forever etched into Ryu's heart. This was the only way he could survive.

His walking didn't halt as quickly as directed, though with a chew of his inner cheek and a sigh, Ryu stopped in his tracks. He didn't give the teacher anything but his back and a whine, "What now?"; Jun-senpai had legs that could take him to where he was. When it came to owning up to the wrongs he's commited, Ryu didn't care. It was actually more than just that... He was above it all, the boy felt untouchable no matter what.

Hearing Ryu's whine, Jun shuffled to him and grabbed the teenager's collar.

"What the hell're you doin', Ryu-kun? Get back to the group!" Jun snapped, dragging Ryuu back down the hallway from which they came.

He stopped and bit his bottom lip. "Um… do you remember which way to go?"

Jun sighed and studied Ryu for a second. He felt a tad bad for Ryu. Why? Well, he couldn't explain why.

(Sorry it's so short)

(no worries ^^)

"I don't care about no shitty group." his eyes narrowed being dragged away like a dog and anger fizzed up in his chest; with the partial silence of the museum, Ryu could almost hear the fire pit rumble in his ears. What made Jun-senpai think he could just do something like this? He hated being treated like an animal. He's got two legs that walk upright, two arms with hands and usable thumbs-- that means he's a human being.

Looking up at the man through thin strands of his blue hair, Ryu snorted with a cheeky smirk, "Yer funny, senpai. Hilarious!" The rebel hit Jun's hand away from him to be free from his grasp, fixing up the collar that hung more lose now thanks to someone, "I was trying to get away, why on earth would I remember where to go?" Ryu put on a smug expression and shoved his hands into his pockets, making the chain that slug off his pants faintly click together, "Gez, yer always telling us to use our heads, but you're starting not to use yours!"

Jun sighed in response to Ryu's remark.

"Damn brat," he spat, catching up to Ryu. Once he got close enough, he grabbed Ryu's arm and scowled. "I thought I asked you a question, Ryu-kun. Now, let's try again. And I want to hear a nice response. Got it? Now, do you remember which way to go?"

Jun seriously disliked rude students. Most of his student were well behaved and respectful. If they tried to act up, he'd put them back into their places. It was simple. So why was Ryu so god darn impossible? Jun knew that the delinquent teenager had it in him to be respectable and calm, so why were things so hard? Jun looked in Ryu's eyes and glared. He wasn't going to let a disrespectful kid get in his skin. Jun couldn't give up. Being a teacher was too important to him!

"No, I do not know which way to go." Ryu spoke in a polite manor, yanking his arm out of Jun's grasp, looking into the other's glare before quickly taking his attention else where, "And why do you always gotta grab me? I'm not a kid, I don't need to be treated like one." Those eyes spoke a great amount of aggravation, the ones that most teachers gave him, but never did anything with it. Boy did Jun know how to get a chill down his spine. The teen never felt settled feeling below another person, and he'd just try to avoid the thought of it completely.

Even though he never really did like that feeling, it would be a lie if he said it wasn't in the least bit amusing to butt heads with a challenger. In this case, it obviously wouldn't become a violent kind of fight; it'd be almost like a friendly game in Ryu's eyes. Almost. And now because apparently they were lost, there may just be more than one simple round.
