Sora seems like a perfect person. He gets good grades in school, never disobeys his parents, and he'd kind to everyone that he knows. The only thing that is odd about him is his love for girls' clothes. It isn't that he wants to be a girl, he is proud to be a young man. There's just this happiness that he gets while wearing a cute miniskirt or a lacy dress that he can't explain. His parents, friends, and teachers have all accepted his clothing habits. There's only one person that doesn't: Yanase, a new student to the school that just won't stop picking on Sora about his clothes. What's even worse is when they get paired together for a school project. But maybe there's a certain reason that Yanase just can't leave Sora alone....

--

Yanase strode into class nearly twenty minutes late, giving the teacher some half-assed excuse before going to his seat. He gave a frown to one student in particular as he glanced over the wave of faces then sat down quietly. Why did he even bother coming to school in the first place? In the back of his mind he knew the answer to that question, but he decided to ignore it. The tall male looked up at the board to see the instructions for a project they were being given. His teacher had barely begun to explain it and it already sounded boring. This frown only deepened when it was revealed that they would be working with partners. There weren't many people in the class that he would actually want to work with, but he wouldn't mind, as long as he didn't get paired with Sora. He snuck a look at the other student to see what outfit he had decided on today.

Appearance: haruhi5cm9.jpg

Name: Sora Inoo

Age: 18

Personality: What Sora treasures most in the world, is accepting others and people accepting him. He never judges a person by the first impression, but always tries to get to know them. He's kind to everyone, since he doesn't see the point in being rude or mean and he tries to get along with them. He's a kid every parents wishes to have. But what's interesting about Sora, is that even though he's a boy and he always thought of himself as a boy, he has a unique passion and that passion makes him weird in some people's eyes; but he isn't planning on giving it up!

Sora's day started perfect; it was the first time he wore his new yellow dress, rimmed with white lace, and a bolero sprinkled with flowers. It looked so pretty when he turned and the fabric floated all around him, the rim of the lace reaching just above his knees. He also had nice white flats, that went so well with the dress. He knew he looked good in his outfit and he was proud of that.

But that giddy feeling didn't last for long. After about half an hour, his classmate, his bully, decided to came to class; just as Sora started to hope he won't. He tried ignoring his stares, but it felt like his eyes were burning a hole into his skin. Sora just focused on the teacher in the moments like this, not wanting to give the red-head another reason for bullying. He was excited by this project they were going to have to do and he listened closely when the teacher started to read the names of the students, who will work together. He hoped he will get a good partner.

Yanase forced himself to tear his eyes away from Sora. Even if he hated to admit it, he couldn't deny that the dress looked quite nice on Sora. He scowled at the thought and looked out the window instead. This was exactly the reason that he picked on the other boy so much, he made Yanase have thoughts and feelings that he didn't like or understand.

"And the last pair will be...Sora and Yanase."

The redhead froze at his teacher's words. Just his luck that he would be paired with him, of all people. They were instructed to meet with their partners to come up with ideas for the project, and Yanase dragged himself over to where Sora was, sitting next to him with an annoyed sigh. "Looks like we're stuck together. I'm not going to be doing much of anything so I hope you're okay with doing all of the work." he muttered, not even meeting Sora's eyes.

"And the last pair will be...Sora and Yanase."

Sora smiled a little when he heard his name but then that smile stayed plastered on his face, when he heard the other name. If someone would look closely into his eyes, they would probably see what he is thinking about, but his face didn't show anything. This can't be happening..no..this isn't happening..it's just a bad dream..

As his classmate sat next to him, Sora faced the cruel reality that was his new project partner. He took a deep breath, as he turned to Yanase, trying not to think about anything else but the assignment. When he heard the other's words, Sora's first thought was that this would be best, not having to deal with him, but that would be like betraying himself. He didn't want to bow down to some stupid guy, who hates him because he doesn't understand him! "I'm sorry, but it's a group project so we will split the work in two," Sora said firmly, not wanting to start a conflict, but not wanting to be treated like a slave either. "So you have any ideas?"

Yanase was surprised that the brunet had stood up to him so quickly. For some reason, that didn't make him angry. He couldn't help feeling a bit....glad that Sora wasn't afraid of him? But why would he think that? Everything about this boy confused him. "Fine. We can do a presentation if you want. That seems like the easiest of the options..." he muttered with a frown. He finally was able to look up at his new partner, and he immediately wished he hadn't. Sora really was attractive, even if he didn't want to admit it to himself. And somehow, his taste in clothing only made him even more attractive. Yanase forced himself to glance back at his hands before he was caught staring, his frown deepening.

Sora's heart was beating frantically, expecting the other's response which probably won't be nice. Ever since Yanase transfered to his school, Sora was being picked on. But he never actually talked to him like this, so Sora quickly reminded himself not to judge. The response he got, left him pleasantly surprised and when their eyes finally meet, he smiled at his classmate. "The presentation sounds great for a start and we can then add something more to make things more interesting." Sora was a good student, so taking the easiest way wasn't what he usually did, but at least his partner didn't seemed so bad as he expected. "You want to come over after school, so we get things started?"

Yanase's head snapped up in surprise at the other's suggestion. Coming over....to Sora's house? He stiffened, his displeased expression hiding his nervousness. He was sure that if he was actually alone with Sora, he would undoubtedly or say something stupid. Or even worse, something that would give him away. But if he turned it down, what kind of excuse could he give that wouldn't sound like a lie? "Uh....sure. But if I get bored, I'm just going to leave." he shrugged, his usual uncaring attitude returning.

His new project partner clearly wasn't too pleased with the idea of coming over, but Sora just tried to ignore it, still hoping they could maybe start to get along and work together. "Well, then we'll just do what we have to do quickly and then you can leave." He was slightly irritated by that kind of attitude, seeing how the grade depends on both of them and Sora didn't want to get a bad grade, because his schoolmate here got bored! But he took a deep breath and smiled anyways, trying his best to be nice. "So you're going to come directly after school, or do you have something else to do before?" In that moment, the bell rang, ending the class and Sora stood up, starting to put his things away, then he looked back at Yanase to hear his answer.

Yanase looked away from him when he smiled. He refused to let himself admit that his smile was actually....cute. But was having that thought the same as admitting it? Everything to do with this boy was confusing! "Yeah, I can come over after school. But I don't know where you live, are we going to walk there together?" he muttered. Yanase felt like they were setting up some kind of date, and it placed a light feeling in the pit of his stomach. He hoped that they would be able to hurry and get this project over with. At least in the past when he was picking on him, he could do it from a safe distance. Being so close to him now made his thoughts about him get even more embarrassing. He stood up and grabbed his bag, glancing back at Sora uncertainly.

"Ok, that's great," Sora answered, a genuine, pleased smile resting on his lips now. This will definitely work out and maybe his classmate won't be picking up on him anymore, after they get to know each other better. "I think it's best if we walk to my place together yes, so you won't have to search for it. Will you wait for me at the exit when we're done for today?" They still had a few classes before the end of the school for today and the two didn't usually hang out, so agreeing on the meeting place was the best solution.

"Yeah, whatever. But if you're not at the front gate when I get there, I'm leaving and going home." Yanase muttered gruffly. He made sure that he had gathered all of his things before heading to the door. He didn't even bother glancing back at Sora as he left. Honestly, it was because he didn't think that he would be able to look at the young man again without stopping himself from saying something stupid. He felt like an absolute idiot being around Sora, and he hated it. This was going to be a tough week.

For the rest of the day, Yanase couldn't stop thinking about Sora. His thoughts were usually just a bit preoccupied with the brunet on a daily basis, but now he couldn't think of anything else. He only picked on Sora during school to stop himself from blurting out something he shouldn't say, so how would he survive while being at his house? Especially if they were alone and Sora continued to dress so cutely. When the final bell rang, Yanase made his way to the front gate to wait for him, a frustrated frown on his face.

Sora really didn't know why his classmate always had to be so hostile towards him, but he was happy that the other just acted like it was a big bother, not really bullying him. "I will be there," he said with a polite smile before leaving the classroom. In the rest of the classes for the day, Sora thought about Yanase, but he soon realized he's not really afraid so much as before. The other boy acted far better than expected and Sora was a little bit calmer now. After he realized that, he was able to calm himself and focus on the teacher.

When the last class was over though, the teacher wanted to talk with him about an upcoming literature competition. It didn't took long, but Sora wasn't really sure if Yanase will still be waiting for him. He ran from the classroom to his locker, changing to his pretty flats, before rushing to the main entrance. He was out of breath already and his cheeks were colored a pinkish red color.

Yanase glanced over at the school entrance for the fifth time. The stream of students exiting the building seemed to be getting smaller and smaller, but Sora was still nowhere to be seen. He debated just walking away and going home as he had said, but he could feel an odd turning in his stomach at the thought. The young man sighed deeply and folded his arms across his chest as he waited. What was he even doing? The best thing for him to do would be to go home right now, then go to his teacher tomorrow morning and beg for a change of partners. Even if that idea sounded like it could work, Yanase couldn't deny that Sora had looked almost....happy while he was talking to him. And maybe if he was able up get through this, he would finally be able to get over whatever wierd feelings he had towards his classmate. With that idea in mind, Yanase decided that he would try to give this a shot.

He looked up when Sora came bounding up to him. Seeing the brunet like that made his face get hot, and he quickly turned away to hide his expression. "Took you long enough." he grumbled. "Let's get going."

Sora was so relieved that his classmate was still waiting for him. He tried to pull his bangs from his eyes, as he was catching his breath; he was never one for sports and he got tired quickly. Also his cute little flats weren't made for running. He slid his hands over his dress, arranging it so that it wasn't crumpled anywhere. "I'm sorry, the teacher wanted a word after the class," Sora apologized, blushing a little. He knew it was his fault that his classmate needed to wait, so he could understand why he didn't look happy at all.

They headed towards Sora's house, with him leading the way. He didn't really know what to talk with Yanase, seeing how they didn't have anything in common, so he hoped there won't be an awkward silence between them all the way to Sora's home.

Yanase avoided looking at the other boy's flustered face, instead focusing his eyes straight ahead. As they walked, an awkward silence fell over them. What in the world was he supposed to say? He honestly didn't know a thing about Sora. We except the fact that he kind of liked him, but that was besides the point. He needed to say something, so he just went with the first thing that popped into his head. "So um...did you have fun at school today?"

As soon as the words came out of his mouth, he regretted them. What kind of question was that? Who asks someone if they had fun at school? He really was a big idiot.

Sora didn't need to be worried, since his classmate decided to break the silence. "Yeah, I did. I'm excited that we got a project, since it means something different than the usual homework we get. How about you?" He answered with a smile, happy that they are having a normal conversation. His house was near, so they will arrive soon anyway and then they can talk about the project. Yanase was the only person that made Sora nervous and he always feared to say something to him.

Yanase was actually a bit relieved when Sora responded. Maybe he hadn't sounded like an idiot after all. Even so, he would be glad when they arrived and they would be able to talk about the project. The sooner they got started, the sooner he could go home and finally relax. He frowned when he was asked the question, not sure what to say. "Uh, it was alright I guess...." he mumbled quietly.

Sora got a half assed response from his classmate, but he didn't expect a lot anyway; at least the other didn't say he hated it or something. "That's great," was the only thing he could manage to reply. He was usually good at situations like this but with Yanase, he just couldn't really be himself. They arrived to his house then, so further conversation wasn't necessary. Sora unlocked the doors and invited his classmate inside. "Please come in and feel like at home," Sora said with a cute voice, pulling his shoes off and stepping into the house. "Do you want something to eat or drink? Oh and my room is that way." Sora pointed to the door at the end of the hallway. His room looked pretty much like any boys room, except for all the girl clothes and accesories.

Yanase hesitated at the cute voice directed to him but tried to brush it off. He stepped out of his shoes before slowly venturing into the house. "Um...some soda." he responded, not looking at him but looking around curiously instead. The young man followed his directions until he reached Sora's room. He was relieved that it looked pretty normal, but he couldn't help noticing the cute clothes. He had to resist the urge to touch the adorable accessories in his room, and he sat down on the bed to stop himself from doing something stupid. A particularly nice outfit hanging nearby caught his eye, and his face flushed slightly at the thought of Sora wearing it.

"Ok, I'll be right there!" Sora yelled, rushing into the kitchen and pouring some soda in two glasses. He also found some chips, so he took that with him too. He didn't want to leave his classmate alone too long; first, they weren't friends so it was weird having him in his room, second, Yanase is probably really uncomfortable and Sora didn't like when people felt bad.

He managed to somehow bring everything at once to his room, although he had some troubles opening the doors. He put the glasses and food on the small table next to his bed, putting his school bad down, before sitting next to his classmate on the bed. "Ok! So where do you want to start?" Sora asked with a smile; he was always wearing some kind of smile. "Or do you need anything else before we start?"

"Took you long enough." Yanase muttered before he even realized how rude that had sounded. He honestly didn't enjoy being mean to Sora. But somehow, insulting him was much easier than saying, "I think you're really cute and I like you a lot." Yanase knew that it was stupid and he was probably just making Sora hate him, but he just couldn't stop himself. He grabbed the glass of soda to distract himself from the fact that Sora was now sitting next to him, much closer than he'd ever been before. "Well, first let's plan out how we want to do the introduction, then we can go from there..." he responded, hiding the slight blush creeping on his face by frowning slightly.

"Took you long enough."

Sora just ignored that comment, since he didn't want to start a fight; at least not here and now. They got work to do and he can manage a few insults thrown his way.

"Yeah, let's go from there," Sora replied politely, not even looking at his classmate's face. He wanted to focus on the work to get it over as quick as possible. He wasn't really comfortable having him in his room and the athmosphere was getting weird. Pulling some paper out, so he could write, he started to explain how he imagined the project and then Yanase could tell him how he wanted to do it. He only paused when he took a sip of his drink, so his mouth wouldn't get dried up.

Sora ignoring his comment and refusing to look at him made Yanase hesitate. Had he really upset him this time? He mentally scolded himself as he tried to focus on what his partner was saying. Sora had some great ideas, explaining why he was one of the best students in the class. Not that Yanase would say that to him. "That's a good start, I guess. I don't think we need to change anything about that. What about the presentation?" he muttered. Yanase looked away purposely when the other took a drink, glancing at what he was writing, but even Sora's handwriting was cute. Why was he being tortured this way?

Yanase didn't add or change anything, so Sora wasn't sure if he even listened to him. But probably his schoolmate was just too lazy to bother. Sora didn't want to do all the work though, he believed that it's only fair to divide work, so he looked at Yanase, after he put the glass down. "Cool, then we can leave that as it is. Do you have any ideas about the presentation Yanase? What would you like to do?" He didn't want to be the only one talking so he focused completely on his schoolmate, after writing a few things down, waiting for his ideas.

"Maybe something visual? I'm good with technology and stuff like that so I can make a slideshow with different effects or something like that...." Yanase muttered. From the look Sora was giving him, he could tell that he was doubting if he would do his share of the work. It wasn't that he didn't want to do the project. It was just that having to do the project with someone he could barely talk to wasn't exactly easy. Even so, Yanase wouldn't put their grade in jeopardy. Even if he didn't care about his own grade, he knew that Sora's grade in the class would take a hit if he screwed up, and he didn't want that to happen. Not that he would admit it.
