Arthur sat back down and gestured to a seat next to himself. "yeah, want me to buy you a drink?" his face heated up as he realized how that might come across. "I-I mean, just in a friendly way, nothing strange..."

"N-No its fine, I'd like a drink" Raymond smiled shyly to the other, getting comfortable in the seat next to him. -it's just a friendly drink, nothing wrong with a friendly drink- He thought to himself as he looked at Arthur. -Don't think too much about Arthur and don't drink too much..You'll be fine..- Raymond kept trying to think like this would deter his thoughts away from the other.

Arthur tried to be not too obvious about avoiding eye contact. "uh... so... How are you doing?" He asked awkwardly. The silence felt almost completely unbearable, but he didn't know what to say. The bartender brought him his drink and he gladly sipped on it, hoping to relax.

"Um..good..good..how about you?" Raymond said, knowing how awkward the conversation was right now, he felt it and felt awkward having it. He got a drink of his own and sipped it. "Good drink.." He said with a shy smile. "What did you get?" He asked quietly.

"hm? Oh, I got an electric lemonade... wanna try?" Arthur held his glass out, pushing back any thoughts of how flirtacious this could come off. It was just something that friends did, sharing things like this... It would only be weird if one of them made it weird.

"Sounds interesting enough" Raymond smiled as he carefully took the glass and took a sip. "Thats pretty delicious, you need to try mine. I got a Fruit Loop" He smiled, much more relaxed than he was before. Raymond returned the others glass and held out his own. He was liking the alcohol and didnt care he indirectly kissed Arthur sharing a drink, people share drinks normally anyway.

Arthur took a sip and smiled. "mm, yeah, that's good... Maybe I should get that next time" he took another sip of his drink, glad to have the alcohol to help himself relax. "hm... I don't have much to talk about besides work... What did you do before becoming an author?"

"I baked, like cupcakes and cakes and stuff" Raymond said as he was taking another sip of his own drink. "Not really a career but it paid the bills" He laughed quietly. "What about you Arthur? Did you do anything before doing what you do now?" He tilted his head with an inquisitive look while taking even more sips on his drink, the drink almost gone now.

"uh... it's kinda embarrassing..." Arthur laughed nervously and took another sip. "I mean, when I was in college I worked at this... Cafe place... it was, uh, one of those butler cafe's that they have in Japan" he blushed deeply. "A friend of mine decided to start one up in the area and invited me to work there... I didn't have a job at the time so..."

"Nothing wrong with that, I wanted to do something like that in high school, embarrassing huh?" Raymond said with another laugh. "Bad to say I find the butlers in butler cafes cute in uniform like that? I dont know" He smiled and was way more relaxed to talk more openly like this. "Dont worry, I am not judging you" He felt like he had to add on at the end, just in case.

"It just seems like a weird job to have... Especially since I'm not even interested in women" Arthur chuckled softly. "But only women go in those places so I had to pretend that I was into them... Sometimes it almost felt like I was lying to them"

"Had to act in more ways than one?..I tease" Raymond giggled, giving him a friendly shove. "Probably would have been the same as you in that situation..sure you did a great job all the same. Drive the girls crazy in a strapping suit looking all formal and stuff" Raymond tried not to imagine the scene but it was failing as he got another drink.

Arthur chuckled and nodded. "Apparently I did pretty well, lots of girls came back to see me..." He grinned at Ray's next comment. "Im just glad that it paid enough to get me through college... Are you trying to imagine it now?" He teased.

"No I'm not, no matter how good looking imagining you in a butlers suit all done up is" Raymond turned a bit red as he took a big sip of a second drink. Damn it Arthur..He thought as he saw that other stupid smile..in that stupid suit..looking damn fine in it..Come on Raymond, don't let your thoughts go down the gutter for your editor! He doesnt like you..Yet even still Raymond could see Arthur doing his job and bing good at it.

Arthur started on his second drink. "are you suure~?" he teased. "maybe I can use that to help you out next time you're having writer's block" He winked flirtatiously, the atmosphere and alcohol was making it hard for him to hold back. Ray was cute, and he had come to this bar to find someone... If worst came to worst he could just claim that he was super drunk.

"I..um..I am having terrible writers block.." Raymond blushed when the other teased and flirted with him. Pay back time..Raymond thought, not wanting to go down this easy. "Maybe you want to..help me again?" He smirked playfully, dragging a finger down the others shoulder. "It might take all night.." Raymond tried to play off the flirting with a sly smile.

"oh? I thought I told you that I was off the clock..." Arthur rested a hand on Ray's knee. "But if you really need more inspiration..." He grinned, leaning even closer so their lips were almost touching. He wanted to see how far Ray would actually let this go.

"Overtime..hobby..whatever you want to call it" Raymond smiled softly and noticed how close they were getting. He figured if this was going to happen, it was happening right now. "Inspire me Arthur.." He said quietly as he was the one to close the gap between their lips. He could still taste the others electric lemonade on his lips which made it all the more sweeter..

Arthur smiled as he returned the kiss, his hand moving from Ray's leg to his waist. He let his eyes flutter closed as he enjoyed the taste of the man's lips. He was already feeling excited from just the kiss, but held himself back because of their location. He broke the kiss after a moment to whisper against Ray's lips. "My place is a lot closer to here than yours..."

"What do you plan on doing at..your place?" Raymond said with a quiet voice and a small knowing smile, kissing him again as he stood up to get out of the chair. His heart was pounding in a good way as he couldnt really control his dirty thoughts right now. His..excitement, he called it, just wanted the others touch and to take him and having such thoughts only made his heart race more.

"Whatever you want me to do..." Arthur murmured. He stood up and wrapped his arm around the man's waist, pulling him close to steal another kiss. "what did you need... 'inspiration' on?" He led Ray outside of the bar, he was only a few blocks away and so began to walk home.

"Surprise me..Makes it all the more fun for..inspiration" Raymond said after he was pulled into another kiss. The walk felt like it was taking forever and would last ages, even if only a few blocks away. "I'm sure you can find all kinds of ways to inspire...I'd even "cheer" you on as you inspire..what would drive you crazy?"Raymond smirked and teased.

Arthur chuckled and slipped his hand down to rest on the other's hip. "you'll just have to try lot's of things to find out" he said lightly. He soon reached his apartment and unlocked the door before pulling Ray in. His apartment seemed to be perfectly clean and organized.

'That could take a while..And many more times..Not fair since tonight you will probably drive me mad" Raymond smiled as he didnt get to set in but pulled into the apartment. 'Nice place" Raymond said with a quick look around and shutting the door with his foot. "Now..where were we?" He asked as he wrapped his hands around Arthurs waist.

"you've gotten a lot more forward haven't you?" Arthur remarked, leaning in to bring their faces closer together. "well... I was just about to 'drive you mad'" he grinned and rested both hands on Ray's hips. "isn't that right?"
