Li-ya stared at him blankly. "shake on it?" he asked, trying to understand what he meant by the words. "how do I do that?" he felt a bit disappointed by the man's refusal to do much to help the forest. He was a bit worried about how the forest would survive without him, but at least it would have a chance... He forced the doubt down and watched Haruto with a fearful frown.

Haruto chuckled as he reached for Li-ya's hand, taking it softly into his hand, "You take the other person's hand and simply do this," he then gave it a firm shake before letting go with a smile, but his eyes suggested a bit of mischievousness, "Just like that. It's not hard, is it? I know you haven't gotten much education. I'd understand if you can't get something so easy, something a child could... right?"

Li-ya bristled at the man's words. "I'm not a child! and I'm not uneducated! I just don't know much about your strange human customs..." the forest spirit frowned and looked away. "so what are you going to do with me? is there somewhere that I have to go so I can help you?" he asked softly. He wanted to find out what exactly he would be doing, that would relieve at least a little bit of his stress.

"Well first of all, we're going back to my car... Then we're going to my home where you're going to stay there until I make arrangements. I can't have anyone seeing my surprise too early, now can I?" He huffed and turned to head back, but he caught sight of those flowers again. Instantly impacted again by it's beauty and scent, Haruto put his tissue back into his pocket as he cleared his throat and took a long moment to look over it again, sighing, "Don't worry. As long as you do what you're told and do it good, you'll be fine."

Li-ya hurried to follow him. "I-I'll do whatever you tell me to" he fidgeted nervously. "where's your 'car?'" He had absolutely no idea what it was, but he assumed that it was safe... He looked around at the forest, thinking that this might be the last time he saw it. The spirit's eyes filled with tears at the idea of leaving his home forever, he tried to wipe the tears away before Haruto noticed for fear that the man might get angry at him.

Checking his phone this time, he answered with sarcasm, "Where my car is? Hm... I'm not sure. Maybe I should follow you instead." One of his messages was from his assistant, Akuma, who had asked if the land he checked out was any good. Haruto replied a quick, It was terrible. And also please pick up lunch for two, drop it off and then leave. Be quick.

He had read the younger male's text quite a while after it was sent, and even with his lateness, Akuma had replied very fast, saying he'd do so... but the red-head wouldn't see it until later because after he ordered his assistant, Haruto turned around to look at the spirit, "You haven't been in a car before, right? I can't imagine that you have."

"I-I don't know what a car is..." Li-ya admitted, he was worried that he would be called stupid again. It was already painful enough to be leaving the only home he had known, he didn't want to think about the horrible person he was moving in with. just the thought was enough to make his eyes start to tear up. "w-where is it?" he managed to ask, wiping at his eyes again.

Haruto had noticed those tears, but had at first decided against calling him out on it. That was the case before and not now; now that he also took into his observation that the spirit start to cry up more and stutter more nervously. It was understandable that Li-ya would feel the need to do so... he just took him away from his home, out of the place he had apparently called home for who knows how long, without a choice. And--

Pang!

His chest suddenly felt constricted for a moment from thinking about that. This must be what guilt started to feel like, because it hurt and it sounded like it really sucked for that spirit.

"It's not far, little spirit... and a car is something humans use to get from place to place without walking. It's also much faster." Haruto went into another pocket of his and took out a light purple napkin this time and held it out for Li-ya, "Wipe up your eyes. You probably have dirty hands so this is more sanitary.

Li-ya hesitated for a moment before taking the napkin. The texture felt strange in his hands... It wasn't like the spider silks that he always wore. A large amount of dirt came off on the napkin with he wiped his eyes, turning spots on the purple to almost black. The spirit looked up at Haruto with wide eyes. "What is this? It feels strange..." He looked back down to examine the strange material, trying to understand what exactly it was made of.

"It's made of cotton and polyester," he smiled at Li-ya's amazement, also glad to his his mind going to somewhere else. If he was like this over a napkin, Haruto's going to have a lot of explaining to do when they got to his home because he had the latest tech the city had to offer, "I could get you some clothes that feel like this if you'd like. Or if not, something else." Yeah, he definitely wasn't going to have this spirit in his house looking like this... or without a bath.

"clothes like this?" Li-ya frowned deeply and looked down at what he was wearing. "I already have clothes... and these clothes are comfortable..." he still had his doubts about Haruto's ideas. "is there something wrong with my clothes?" He fidgeted nervously, remembering that he has never actually seen much human technology... it could end up being really scary... He still wasn't sure what a car was, or where they would go to find the one that Haruto seemed to own. It was all so confusing and the more he thought about it, the more scared he became.

Nodding, Haruto raised up his arm yet again to his watch, but pressed a button on the side, "I understand you live in such a uncivilized place, but you are going to be soon. You need to wear actual clothing, Li-ya, though I'm going to have a hard time deciding what to put on your legs...". At the press of the button, a chime sounded off and behind a cluster of thick-trunked trees was a sleek built vehicle; it had no sharp edges and along the side of the car was a single, thin red streak that faintly glowed in the shade, black tinted windows blocked out the interior what was completely made of dark colored leather, "That's what a car is. My car for that matter."

Li-ya jumped at the sound of the beep. When he saw the car itself his eyes widened greatly and he moved a little closer to Haruto in fear. "w-what does it do? it looks... strange..." it was clearly unnatural, and the spirit didn't really trust anything that didn't come from nature. The dark color and seemingly perfect shape was completely unfamiliar. He felt like it was some kind of huge snake that would uncurl at any moment. But to Li-ya a snake would at least be something he understood and could deal with, this was too foreign.

"It doesn't do anything until the driver goes inside... you'll be sitting on the passenger's side, the seat right next to mine," he pat the spirit's head and approached the car, looking closely at the side before flicking off a leaf off the roof of it, "It's not going to bite, little spirit, this is a machine not a wild animal." Looking to Li-ya with a smile, he added, "It's a new model and this is a car I'm glad to give as a first impression of what a real vehicle is."

Li-ya hurried to follow the human, still a bit unsure of the machine. The human's reassurance didn't help either. He wasn't expecting the thing to bite him, but he couldn't help but worry it would tear him apart like the other machines had torn apart the trees. The horrifying image of his own limbs being mangled and crushed in this machine made the spirit whimper and grab on to the hem of Haruto's shirt. "A-are you sure it's safe?" he asked, his voice shaking. Li-ya didn't even notice that he was getting dirt from his hands on the man's shirt.

"Y...Yes, of course..." Haruto could feel dirt on his clothes as if were his very own skin, flinching at the other's grab and cringing as he took Li-ya's hand off of him before shivering, saying low and shaky, "Don't touch me suit- It got cleaned yesterday...!" Now his clothes were dirty, his hands were even dirtier from the past handshake with this and it really didn't sit well inside for Haruto. The red-headhad quickly pressed another button on his watch. It made the car door pop off and raise up like a hatch, of which he quickly grabbed a small tube of sanitizer- not even paying attention to whatever the spirit's reaction to the sudden action would be. He needed to get clean.

Li-ya quickly stepped backwards at the man's words "I-I'm sorry I just-" he let out acry of pure terror at the sight of the car opening up. It was too much for him to handle, it seemed like a mouth but worse... Without thinking he bolted in the opposite direction, the only thing in his mind was that he needed to escape. He got a short distance away before leaping up into a tree, his strong legs allowing him to jump from branch to branch until he felt like he was high enough to be safe from the monstrous object.

Rubbing his hands together furiously, Haruto stood back up and closed his eyes with a couple of deep breaths, "Just don't do that again until you wash yourself... already dislike the dirt on the ground, I don't want it being transferred around like a disease." Haruto opened his eyes and turned around but nobody was there,"... Li-ya?" There was no sign of the spirit anywhere and the man was starting to think he was imagining everything, but called out anyways, "Li-ya?!"

Li-ya clung to the tree until he heard the human calling out for him. He slowly let go of the tree and hopped back down to the ground. "i-is it safe now?" he called out, hesitantly walking back towards Haruto and his strange machine. He peered around a tree-trunk to make sure that the object hadn't somehow attacked the man. He didn't really understand how it had opened... Maybe it had reacted to the human's anger or maybe the loud noises had woken it up.

"It never was dangerous..." He mumbled and rubbed the bridge of his nose, seeing that the spirit had climbed the tree like a scared cat, "Li-ya, the car isn't going to hurt you! You can stop being paranoid now." Putting on a smile, Haruto motioned to the open car, "I promise you that it won't cause any harm. Please, just come and take a seat inside, little spirit." Li-ya's behavior was certainly odd and was understandable, but it was like he had just adopted an animal from the shelter that was afraid of everything and didn't know anything.

Li-ya's legs were still shaking as he walked over. He stood still for a moment and just looked at the car before slowly climbing in. His whole body was trembling in absolute terror as he waited for something to attack him or cause some kind of horrible pain. The spirit closed his eyes and curled up on the seat of the car, waiting for his own death. He didn't trust the human, it had occurred to him that Haruto might want to kill him so he wouldn't get in the way of tearing down the forest...

He put his hands back down and walked to the other side to the driver's side, plopping into the comfy seat with a sigh. Haruto realized that with the spirit inside the car, his smell was going to be trapped in the car, because there was no way he was going to open the windows and let passerbys see Li-ya. That made the politician's smile go away and turn into a slight frown as he touched his watch again and warned before pressing another small button, "It's going to close again, so don't stress it, okay?" Something in the car made a low hum and those door indeed closed shut on their own.

Li-ya whimpered fearfully and shut his eyes tightly. He didn't want to have to look at the horrible confines of the car, just the idea of being trapped in this machine was terrifying. The spirit just hoped that it wouldn't last too long, he was accustom to being outside all the time... The closet thing he had experienced was being inside a cave, but even that was more spacious than this metal monster. "h-how long do we stay in here?" he asked softly. The spirit didn't really smell like one would expect, now that he was in an enclosed space it was easy to tell that he smelled like a combination of honeysuckle and pine trees.

Haruto was quiet in order to give himself a moment- holding his breath with his eyes closed to take in his last moments of the simple smell of his car; for when he breathed next, it would be foul. Li-ya has probably gotten himself stuck in the mud, passed some smelly, dead animal carcass and hasn't taken in a shower in god knows when... The time came where he had to refill his lungs with air, so he opened up his red eyes once more, which widened with the absence of assault his nose came over. It wasn't as good at the flower, but it was refreshing and natural, a kiss to his acute senses. Haruto leaned over into the forest spirit's personal space and smelled again, "Is that you?" He said absentmindedly, "No. It definitely is..."

Li-ya opened his eyes to see the human leaning closer. He squeaked in fear and pulled away only to smack against the door of the car. He cried out in pain and looked up at Haruto with wide eyes. "is what me?" he asked, utterly confused by the man's words. He had never paid attention to his own scent, and neither had any of the creatures he had spent his life with. He couldn't help but wonder if he had angered the human somehow.
