Not putting the spirit's discomfort, he grabbed Li-ya's wrist and put it to his nose. Haruto was sophisticated and looked up to by many, but most people didn't know his absolute love for smells; if something got his interest, he'd follow it until he was satisfied. It was a very odd habit, but it was harmless... Although he had the spirit's arm pretty tight in his grip... "It's purely lovely! I had thought..." he trailed off and indulged himself in Li-ya's scent. The more Haruto took it in, the more he favored it over the flower.

Li-ya squirmed fearfully. "What are you doing? That hurts!" He cried. He was so confused by the human's actions, it just didnt make any sense. The spirit thought of scent as just a thing that animals used to track their prey or determine if food was safe. But this was completely different and utterly terrifying.

Peering his red eyes at the forest spirit after a long pause, Haruto let go of Li-ya and sat back comfortably in his own seat, asking as if nothing happened as he tightened his necktie, "Are you hungry? I had my assistant fetch some lunch... he has good taste, so I trust him to bring us something good." The man wore a straight look, but on the inside everything was running wild as if he had found a cave full of gold, "Or is there something specific you normally eat? I assure you, you can have what you'd like."

"I like berries... and plants..." Li-ya murmured, hugged his arms to his body, trying to stop himself from trembling. He was terrified, Haruto didn't seem to act like any creature the spirit had even met... And now the forest depended on whether or not Li-ya could make this man happy. He had no idea how to tell if the human was angry or not and was scared to ask."uh, but I can probably eat anything... I've never eaten something that made me sick..." he said weakly, hoping that he wouldn't seem like too much of a problem. If he was more trouble than he was worth then the human might decide to just tear down all the trees instead...

"Is that so?" Haruto glanced at Li-ya with a grin as he opened up a powered up the glass dashboard. It took seconds to turn on and the first thing that was there was a pad that had many lines on it- the perfect blank screen turned red and made a beeping noise before the car hummed when the man put his thumb on the panel. It was the scanner that turned on the car, knowing it was indeed the owner of the car that was driving: an anti-robbing application put into high class cars like his for protection.

Li-ya watched the man with wide eyes. He managed to ignore his fear and scoot forward to get a better look at the dashboard. "w-what is this? how are you making it do things?" he asked softly. "i-is it magic?" he hadn't thought that humans could do magic, but there didn't seem to be any other possible explanation for what he was seeing. He reached out to touch the dashboard curiously.

So many questions this little spirit had... though Haruto didn't mind at all filling Li-ya on the technological aspect of his world. Finally putting on his smile once more, the man let him touch the dash, that had glowed red at the foreign print, "It's not magic. It's called technology. Us humans made things that make our lives easier: this for example is a customized touch-screen that only responds to me. That's why it turned a dark blue and didn't do anything," Haruto tapped the screen, it turning the normal red once more, "See? Now hear this~ Hello, Shira."

"Hello, Mikami. How are you? Good I hope." A girly electronic voice came out of the board in a welcoming voice.

Li-ya jerked his hand away at the sound of a voice. "T-there's a person inside it!" He cried fearfully. He had know that humans were evil, but to trap another one of their people in a machine like this... The spirit grabbed onto Haruto "we have to get her out!" He insisted, he couldn't just let the poor human suffer. "Why would you do that? It's horrible, she must be in so much pain..."

Tensing up once more from the touch of those dirty hands, Haruto swatted Li-ya's hands away and reached to his hand sanitizer with frustration, "She isn't alive and never was alive! Gh... It's just a voice also crated by those scientists!" He grabbed the forest spirit's hand again and squirted a bunch of the cleaning liquid onto his hand, "Please do me a favor and rub that together. And also I asked you to refrain from touching me, Li-ya!"

A deep sigh and the return of the bottle signed for Haruto's attempt at calming down, "Just... Relax."

Li-ya trembled at the man's harsh words, he didn't know why it was such a problem for him to touch Haruto... He bit his lip and rubbed his hands together, the cleaning liquid turning brown and muddy from the dirt on his skin. "I'm sorry..." he said softly, hoping that he hadn't made the human too angry. "I just don't understand all these new things... I'll be more careful not to touch you"

"Thank you... I understand fully that this is foreign, but just note not everything we create is evil or cruel... Don't be scared." Haruto gave an apologetic glance at the other before facing the glass front, ordering the car AI "Shira as he griped the wheel and gently presses the gas, I'm going home. Play my music."

"Yes, Mikami, as you wish." She responded pleasurably right before a reasonable volume of classical music begun to play. It was one of the only methods of helping his rampant thoughts slow down.

For a moment Li-ya was startled by the sound, but the calming melody quickly made him relax. He tilted his head to the side in curiosity and tried to lean closer to the source of the music. The spirit wanted to ask what it was, but he liked it too much to try to talk over it. He slowly closed his eyes and smiled slightly as he listened. So far everything about humans was scary... But this, this was actually nice... This must have been what Haruto meant by not everything being evil...

Haruto begun to drive out, his nerves settling down quite a lot already from the fine music. Violins, pianos and symphonies of various instruments played, the sounds and Li-ya's scent bringing full peace to him faster than anything could- it was the perfect combination for sure. The spirit had probably the most life changing day and with a calmer mind, Haruto thought more about what the little spirit may feel more comfortable with. He liked animals, eating greens and berries, and... apparently this kind of music based on his behavior over the tempo. It didn't seem that hard to do this, but ultimately, all Li-ya wanted was to save the forest. What a determined little thing.

Li-ya slowly let himself relax against the back of the seat. He opened his eyes slightly and looked over at the human. He briefly wondered what the man was thinking about... Haruto couldn't be all that bad if he listened to such nice sounds... The spirit closed his eyes again and kept listening to the music. After just a few more minutes he drifted off into sleep, exhausted from all the scary things throughout the day.

With the continuous peace, Haruto calmly followed the faint path of road back into the city. The city had large, tall buildings that could reach the clouds easily. There were all sorts of shops and restaurants- the most populated places were the malls, which thousands of people everyday would spend thousands of dollars on new clothes, tech and anything they wanted really. There was one mall that had a device that could change the way you looked completely; as long as you wore the headdress, you can appear anyway you wanted thanks to the power of hologram.

Quite some time passed between point B back to point A, but the long drive wasn't something Haruto minded, especially when nothing was around to annoy him. Whenever he had stopped at a red light, he looked over the sleeping spirit and just thought about how... different he really was, and when the man had finally pulled into the lot, his eyes found Li-ya once more. He turned off the music and stopped the engine before putting a hand on the other's shoulder, shaking him slightly, "Oi, Li-ya, it's time."

Li-ya whimpered softly at the touch and slowly opened his eyes. He felt like he was in some kind of strange dream as he looked out the windows at the tall buildings. This kind of place didn't seem like it could possibly exist... He rubbed his eyes and leaned towards the window. "W-where are we?" he asked softly. He couldn't see any trees... "is this real?" he turned to Haruto, no longer scared... Just confused...

"This is very real," he laughed at the spirit's confusion, "The most perfect way to live, this was the future people way before us have imagined to be... Pretty different isn't it?" Haruto raised his watch and opened the doors with the small button, "You can't see this and tell me it isn't worth expanding. It's beauty holds my breath every day even though I've lived here all of my of my life." Not leaving an easy chance for Li-ya to respond, the red head or out of the car with a quick, "Come!"

Li-ya hesitantly stepped out of the car to look around. It was true that this place was very beautiful... But it felt strange... He didn't like the lack of nature, or how perfect everything seemed. It made the spirit feel out of place and somehow inadequate for this perfect, sparkling world. He moved closer to Haruto for safety, being careful not to touch him this time.

With another press of his watch, the doors re-closed with a beeping noise signifying the vehicle was locked. Haruto hadn't seen anyone around but he took another careful look around just in case. The coast was indeed clear, so the man motioned Li-ya to follow, heading to a door that would take them up from the ground floor to his penthouse, "Tell me, little spirit, because I am curious... How were you able to live in such an uncivilized place? It confuses me."

Li-ya ran after him, his hooves clicking on the hard floor. "uncivilized?" he looked up at the man with an expression of confusion. "I don't know what you mean... It was a nice place to live... Before you stared cutting down the trees I never had to worry about anything, all there were lots of other forest spirits and we would all get along.." he frowned sadly and looked down at the ground. "but it's been hard lately..."

There he goes again with the pity party. Haruto didn't like it when people, or spirits, tried to use pity to get something they wanted... but for once it was working. Li-ya was real and most likely did lose a lot of his friend even though the man didn't have real evidence. The only thing he could base anything off of was the fact forest spirits did exist, the last bit of forest was going to get paved over and that what was left over was this creature that had almost nothing left. All he wanted was to keep what little he had right?

Haruto's feelings of pity rose, especially when he turned around and saw Li-ya's expression. He vowed to try and not bring anything like this up again- the red head didn't think he could take this feeling anymore... "Say, Li-ya. What's your favorite color?" he drastically changed the subject and he clicked the door open and stepped in, "And please don't say green."

Li-ya looked up at him with an expression of surprise. "what's wrong with green? Green is a nice color..." He frowned slighty and though for a moment. "I think orange... Orange is such a happy color" He looked up at Haruto. "what's your favorite color?" He felt a little bit shy about asking the human questions. But in a way he wanted to learn more about the man.

He let out a heavy sigh, not necessarily out of frustration but at the spirit's claim about orange being a happy color, "White," he said truthfully, "White is clean, blank and perfectly nothing. I think it's the color of creativity." With the door closing behind them, the elevator rose up slowly, keeping them closed in the small space until they would reach the top floor,"But that's just me."

Li-ya frowned at his reply. "Blank? But-" He was cut off by a cry of terror as the floor seemed to move beneath him. "W-what's happening?" He cried, backing up towards the wall to cling to it for some sort of support. He felt like he was going to die in this room, it just didn't make any sense to him.

Haruto laughed at the spirit's fear, but didn't under-mind it, knowing that Li-ya hasn't been exposed to anything remotely like this. Holding down his amusement as soon as it started, the man smiled at the other, explaining, "We're going up. This is called an elevator, little spirit. Once more, it is nothing you should fear. You must trust me more if you are going to be staying with me."
