After coming back from school, Keiji puts his school on the floor and lets out a sigh. He takes off his jacket and bends over, taking off his shoes and walks into his room. Keiji runs up the stairs and walks to his desk, turning on the computer and sits down, looking at his internet project he had to do for school.

Aki smiled as he walked home from school, taking his time enjoying the afternoon sun. As he finally gets home he throws his bag down in the hallway and walks to his room, ignoring the shouts from his father in the next room. Opening up his laptop in the safety of his room he surfs the web whilst finishing off one of the projects for his media class.

Keiji taps his finger on the bottom of the computer, while scrolling down his music list he had downloaded off his Ipod. He puts his earbuds in his ears and turns on some music, continues to work on his project. Keiji lets out a yawn stretches out his legs slightly and tapped his pen on the desk his computer was on.

Aki lets out a sigh after finishing his media project, looking out the window feeling bored. He stand and walks across his small bedroom and turns on the radio but finding nothing good playing he turns it off again.

His fathers footsteps come down the hall to the door of Aki's room "Aki" his fathers rough voice calls out to him.

Aki sighs, again, turning to see his dad at the door.

Keiji turns off his laptop after finishing his school project, closing it and looks up at the clock to see what the time was. He stands up and takes his printed project, going downstairs and puts it into his bag so he wouldn't forget it tomorrow.

He picks up his bag so his pregnant mom wouldn't fall over it and places it on the couch, zipping it up and goes back upstairs to his room. Keiji sits on his bed and brings his legs to his chest, reading a book.

Aki curls up in his bed after his father leaves, taking his laptop with him.

'He already has his own' ski had thought to himself as his father said he needed Aki's laptop. He frowned letting his father take it as he didn't want to fight him more than he had to. So he now stares out of his window wishing he felt as sunny as it looked outside.

Keiji's father knocks on the door to Keiji's room and opens it slowly, "hey Keiji, I was wondering if you can help me webcam with someone that I want to talk. Its been a while since I talked to him and I think it would be nice to catch up." Keiji looks up from his book and nods his head, "o-oh um sure that is fine," as he stands up, putting his book on the bed and walks over to his laptop, giving it to his dad. His father takes it and just sits down at the desk, turning it on and start search the internet.

Aki felt himself drift off us he lay curled on his bed, under the sun coming through his window. A knock at his door stopped his dreamless sleep. He rubbed at his eyes as he turned seeiby his father at the door again and he frowned looking away.

His father was the first to speak "Aki...could you help? I'm trying to video chat an old friend, it's been a while and your laptops so different from my own" he looks away as Aki looked up slightly surprised.

 

"Ok, whatever..." Aki said quietly getting up from his bed and following his father to the lounge.

Keiji watches his dad from a distance while sitting on the bed, making sure he knows what he was doing, "need any help?" Keiji's father looks over his shoulder and shakes his head, "I think I am good. I am signing in now," he smiles softly. Keiji nods his head and goes back to reading, tapping his feet on the bed and looks up from the book, "are you going to web chat in my room? I need to clean it still." Keiji's dad laughs a little, "don't worry all I can see is you on your bed so your fine about your dirty floor but your cleaning it tomorrow." Keiji pouts and nods his head, "yes dad," he lays down on the bed and puts his book on his face.

Aki helps his father sign in getting up the webcam properly. Despite himself he felt curious about his father's old friend 'I womderupted if their were good friends...was he different back then...?' he sits watching his father, not noticing he can be seen in Tue webcam.

Keiji's dad looks at his contact list and clicks on his friend's name, leaning back as he tries not to be too close to the camera. He waits for him to accept the call and smiles, "hey there buddy. Its been a while huh? How have you been," as he rests his chin on his palm.

Aki's father smiles, something he hasn't ever seen before. He stares at his father as he answers his friend "Hey, I'm good and yes its ben awhile, hows the family?" Aki still had no clue he could e seen on the other end, seeing his father friendly and smiling was something new for him.

Keiji's father nods his head slowly with a smile, "everything is good. The wife is sleeping. She is currently pregnant with a girl and my son is right behind me, since I am chatting to you in his room." Keichi's father moves to the side a little, "Keichi. Say hello to my old friend from school." Keichi perks his head up from the book as he falls on the floor and looks over at the webcam, "oh um... hello there," he sits up and leans forward to pick up his book, putting it back on the bookshelve.

Akis father laughs, smiling "I'm glad to hear that, I wish you all the best of luck" he turned to the stunned Aki "This is my son Aki" he said.

Aki looks up only now realising he can be seen "H-hello" he stuttered then goes to leave his father lone but stops, seeing Keiji.

Keiji's father waves with a smile, "its nice to meet you Aki. Keiji come over and meet Aki as well." Keiji looks over at his dad and nods his head, walking over to the desk, crouching down, "um, hello there Aki its nice to meet you," he slowly sits on the floor to get something from the bottom drawer on his desk.

Aki smiled shyly waving to Keiji "nice to meet you too" he usually isn't this friendly, being a loner at his school. He sat back as Keiji slowly left the view of Tue camera on the other end, lost in thought.

Aki's father kept talking about old memories Aki had no interest in knowing. He turned and stared out the window.

Keiji's father plays with a loose strand of Keiji's hair as it stands up from the camera's view. Keiji looks up and stands up slowly, walking back to his bed and sits down, pressing his legs to his chest while he starts to draw. Keiji's father laughs with a sigh, "hahhh sometimes he isn't very... sociable sometimes. So how is everything over there?"

Aki still stares out the window, as he father replies "ok, divorced from stephy a year ago" he father sighs but smiles "Aki here keeps me company though, he's a good kid"

Aki frowned getting up now, he felt like yelling at his father but he looked back at the ccamera, Aki's father's old ffriend and decided not to, instead he said "I'm going to make some tea"

Keiji's father nods his head and leans back a little, "so not even looking for anyone new out there are you? Or are you done with all that. Sometimes it is hard to get back into a relationship after getting a divorce."

Keiji starts to draw in his sketchbook, tapping his eraser on the paper for a few moments and turns on his stomach, continues drawing. He swings his feet back and forth while drawing, letting out a yawn and perks his head up when hearing Aki's voice, going back to drawing.

Aki came back a moment later with a cup of tea and sat back down.

"Ah well, it'd be to soon if I got back into another relationship, for Aki's sake, it was hard on him" He father looked over as Aki sat down.

Aki didn't look back, memories of his mother now flooding his mind.

Keiji's father and scratches his head, nodding it slowly, "yeah it can be hard for kids when something like that happens," he looks at the time on his watch, "so anything new? I should probably check on how my wife is doing. You can always talk to Keiji while I am checking," he looks over at Keiji, noticing he was drawing.

Aki's ffather nodded in appreciation but stood up hearing as the front doorbell went off "If you'll excuse me for a moment, I have to get that" he smiled walking away. He frowned as he turned away from the camera at Aki.

Once he was gone from the room, Aki let out a breath he hadn't known he wad holding.

Keiji's father walks over to Keiji and rubs his shoulder, "can you wait by the computer so when my friend comes back if I don't come back right away?" Keiji looks at the computer and nods his head, getting off his bed and walks over to the computer, sitting down and rests his sketchbook on his leg, continues drawing.

Aki was silently looking out the window at Tue setting sun "so beautiful..." he thought outloud, almost smiling at the scene.

Keiji taps his foot on the chair while he was drawing, resting his head on his knee and lets out a yawn, scratching his head with his other hand.
