Aiya lightly breathed on the blade, turning the metal into a white hot liquid which dripped uselessly out of his mouth. Once the weapon was destroyed he released his grip on Elye's body. "I want to learn more about humans, and maybe I can teach you more about dragons. Then we can help each other" he smiled again, bits of molten metal cooling in between his teeth.

Elye's face was horror stricken as his blade was turned into burning liquid so easily. His pride as a squire, the symbol of his craft… it was nothing now. And that was the weapon Elye truly believed would be the thing that would end this dragon's life. Then he was released, and he fell to the floor, scrambling away from the golden dragon on the ground. It spoke of wanting peace, yet his sword's metal was glistening from his bared teeth. Elye's heart was pounding so hard in his chest it was nearly painful.

"Wh-why? Why did you lie to me?" Elye asked… why didn't he he lead him all the way here, to corner him? He disarmed the squire with ease… Elye was very much in danger, no matter how you looked at this. "What benefit do you have from learning about humans?"

Aiya turned back to his human form, his clothes had been torn apart by his transformation so he wandered over to the pile of gold to search for some more clothes among everything else. "you're fascinating. Humans are always evolving and always inventing new things... Us dragons always stay the same" He slipped on some clothes that he found buried under everything else and turned back to Elye. "I don't really benefit from it, I just find it interesting"

"You know I came here to kill you, right?" Elye, almost desperate to make sense of this. "I told you, I'm trying to kill you so I can marry my beloved… why me? You could slay me, go into town in your human form, and learn to your heart's desire that way, right?" His breathing was labored, and his statements came out uneven.

"S-so… why do it like this?"

"it'll be easier to learn basic things if I don't have to worry about hiding my identity..." Aiya gently pulled the human over to the pile of gold and helped him sit down. "you should calm down... I promise I won't hurt you. I didn't want to hurt you either. I want to convince you that I'm a good person and then I can send you back to your town. Maybe I'll even leave and you can take a couple scales and say you killed me"

Elye didn't resist as he was repositioned on the pile of gold, it was surprisingly not uncomfortable. He took a few deep breaths. The dragon was right about that- he needed to calm down. He didn't like the prospect of lying… however, that would serve both their purposes. He brought back the scales, he'd be rewarded, and no one would go after the dragon, thinking he is dead.

Also, when was another human going to have the chance to talk with a dragon, to learn about them? It would be a wasted opportunity. He smiled, and nodded.

"Very well, Golden Dragon, I accept these terms." Elye replied. At this point, he had no reason to believe he was lying to him, anymore. Besides, he never once felt suspicious of him until he turned into a dragon. He would go with his first instinct. The beautiful golden man who was also a beautiful golden dragon, was someone he could trust.

Aiya sat up a bit straighter. "really? you will? I thought it would take way longer than that to convince you." He scooted closer to the human. "so, tell me everything! how do you move around so much with just two legs? what do you do with your hands? why are you weak? isn't it inconvenient not to be able to breath fire or anything?"

'Considering I'm still at your mercy, the decision's not hard…' Elye thought, and almost regretted it the minute the questions started.

"W-well, the same way you do as a human, I reckon…" He answered. "When we are infants, we crawl on all fours, and we must learn to walk on two legs. As an adult, it is actually uncomfortable to crawl on all fours now." He explained. "We use our hands for everything we can. Every tool we use, we need hands. Every instrument played. Every payment made. Every item moved. A lot of this uses our hands. We can even show emotions through our hands."

"We're not weak, mind you. Our only fault is not being dragons." He clarified, a bit insulted at being called weak. He spent his whole life training, and was easily bested by a creature he intended to kill. Strength was a touchy subject at the moment.

"Well, humans can make fire other ways. Since we don't breathe fire, we don't really miss it, since we've never had it. Aside from a sorcerer, maybe…"

Sorry this took so long!

"but there are so many of you all over the world! How can you get from one continent from the other without wings? I've seen your little boats and they look like they could burst into flames or be torn apart by the slightest mistake" Aiya insisted. He didn't intend to offend the human in any way, he just didn't understand how these things worked. It was amazing and mystifying to the dragon, but he wanted to understand it right away.

"What we lack in strength we make up for in cunning, and intelligence." Elye explained, smiling a bit in pride. "Our ship-makers are wise about the sea and her unforgiving, fickle nature. Our sailors are taught by years on the ocean how to cross it. Our travelers spend years memorizing maps created by explorers braving unknown territory before braving the lands themselves."

Elye had nearly forgotten the dangerous situation he was in, and was lost in his praising humans: he didn't know he had such pride for them until now.

"When a human lacks in something, they rely on another human's skills and knowledge. Many people form many relationships like this- and we form societies. Kingdoms, regions, towns- all societies constructed of relying on one another."

"I see..." Aiya frowned slightly as he tried to process the information. "So basically you humans make up for your short lives and lack of natural abilities by combining knowledge and power?" He tilted his head to the side as he thought about this new information. "that's... fascinating... I always wondered why you all lived in such huge towns, but now it makes sense" He smiled at the human. "so what do you use all those little tools for? I've seen humans with all kinds of things that don't seem to be particularly useful, are they just for show?"

He's stunning!

"Eh… yeah, when you put it that way, it sounds less impressive," Elye said with a soft chuckle. "But that's the jist of it. We use tools for a great many things; my weapons are tools. My shield can protect me, and I can attack with the sword better than I can with my bare fists. Since I need a new sword, I will go to a sword-maker. They will need iron, fire, an anvil, a hammer, tongs, and a variety of decorative tools in order to make a fine, lovely sword. A painter uses a paintbrush to put paint on a canvas. In every home, we use knives to cut, pins to roll dough, spoons to stir, and bowls to contain. And if it's not useful- it's not a tool. Children play with toys, and some people wear jewelry, which may be what you're talking about."

"What are the things you take out of cows?" Aiya questioned, scooting closer to the human again. "it's white and liquid-y, but I've eaten cows and they never have that inside them... When I first saw a human taking it out of a cow I thought they were taking its blood and drinking it, but it isn't blood..." His brow furrowed as he tried to make sense of it in his own mind.

"Taken from inside of cows…" Elyre gave the now-human-looking dragon a strange look, before his eyes widened in realization.

"Oh! That's milk!" He answered, amused. "Humans and animals both make it for babies before they can eat other food. Cows make a lot of milk, so when humans grow up, they stop drinking human milk and start drinking cow's milk. But you don't just drink milk, you can put it with other foods to make cream, and butter, and desserts."

"Milk... that's so strange" Aiya's eyes sparkled with excitement. "tell me more things about humans!" he insisted, moving even closer. "can I touch you?" he reached out to feel the human's skin. "I want to see if we really are the same when I'm in this form, there must be some differences..."

Elye couldn't help but smile a bit at the dragon's reactions. Were humans really that interesting to him? But suddenly he moved closer, and with such an eager expression, it made Elye feel a bit nervous to have such a pretty man look at him like that. His gaze fell to the floor.

"T-touch?" He immediately looked back in flustered shock. He was engaged! Well, almost. Well, nearly almost. Well, he wanted to be engaged. Oh… he literally just wanted to feel him. That made sense. Elye relaxed a bit, and he pulled off a leather glove, and folded back the chain mail of his forearm, and the sleeve under it, to reveal his bare skin from his elbow to his fingers. He presented his arm to the dragon.

"Go ahead, then." He offered.

Aiya happily took his arm in his hands. "thanks" he murmured, running his fingers over the human's skin. His own skin was a lot warmed than Elye's, so the man felt nice and cool. Aiya leaned in and smelled his arm, memorizing the unique smell of this person. The dragon's long soft hair fell forward and brushed against Elye's skin. After a moment of smelling, the dragon lightly touched his tongue to the human's wrist to taste him.

Elye smiled in response to Aiya's gratitude. Was he really so happy to be able to touch him? He must really like humans, then. Elye supposed it was understandable, if you had never been able to touch something that you always wanted to and got the chance. He remembered the first time he was allowed to hold a real sword, rather than the models they trained with as kids.

The dragon's hands were very warm, even though Elye had been wearing these two layers, his skin was much cooler in comparison. What was a little less understandable was when he leaned in to smell his skin- and reminded Elye that this man was in fact, a dragon. Still, it was a little unsettling to be smelled like that. Golden strands fell over his wrist and hand while the dragon smelled his skin. Even in the darkness of the cave, they still gleamed in the light that streamed in. It truly was golden.

Elye slowly moved his fingers to allow the strands to fall between them, their silkiness running between his bare fingers. It was mesmerizing. In hindsight, he should have realized someone with hair like this wasn't human. He snapped out of it when he felt a hot tongue gently touch the inside skin of his forearm.

"A-ahn!" He jolted a bit, but he didn't remove his arm. Did he… just taste him?!

Aiya licked his arm a couple more times before pulling away and releasing him. "are you like that everywhere?" he questioned. "the same scent and taste and feeling?" he was referring to the rest of Elye's body. "can I touch that too?" He reached out for the edge of Elye's shirt, not really waiting for a response. He wanted to know everything about to human, and didn't even think about how it might affect the other. He hadn't even noticed the man touching his hair and made no attempt to pull away when he finally did.

"Eh… I don't know, I've never tasted myself…" Elye replied, blush rising to his cheeks. "Probably?" He removed his hand from the other's hair when he reached for his shirt.

"A-ah! H-hold on a minute!" He was engaged! Well… he wanted to be. But then he looked at the curious and eager face of the dragon, so willing to learn about humans. After watching from afar, and now finally being able to talk to one… this must seem like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

"Ah, I'm wearing chain mail under this, allow me…" He muttered, a bit embarrassed. But, the dragon was really quite an academic. That's right! This was for academic purposes… Elye removed his tunic, revealing the small metal rings covering his torso and arms, and he carefully removed that as well, wincing a bit as his hair got caught in it. Then he nervously started to pull at the hem of his bottom layer, his undershirt, and pulled it over his head, completely baring his torso to the dragon, a sleigh glimmer of sweat glazed his toned abdomen.

"W-well…" It felt strange basically giving a dragon his body. "H-here, do as you will."

Aiya sat back and waited patiently for the human to take his shirt off. As soon as he had permission he leaned in to smell and feel Elye's body. He touched every inch of the man's body. He didn't want to miss any part of his body. It was all so amazing... He could only feel a couple differences in their bodies, things like the temperature and the muscles... But maybe that didn't have to do with the species difference... He slowly leaned in to taste the man's chest.

It didn't take long for the dragon-man to seize the squire's body, taking in his natural aroma- which couldn't really be too pleasant from sweating in the sun under chain mail all day- and his gentle, but strong hands explored the ridges and curves of his muscles, and the shape of torso. The dragon's skin was surprisingly quite soft. Elye's heartbeat quickened as the thorough study of his body continued. He wondered if the dragon would want to go beyond his torso and arms…

Then he leaned forward, his face very close to his chest, and Elye took in a sharp breath. He assumed the dragon meant to taste him here, as well. Though, rather than resist, he surprised himself when he instinctively touched the golden-haired man's shoulder rather affectionately.

Aiya slowly ran his collar up to the human's collar bone, tasting his sweaty skin. He slowly pulled his face away and ran his hands over Elye's muscles. "are all humans like this?" He asked. Most dragons had a more lean fitness to them, they didn't have such defined muscles since they rarely had a reason to push themselves to peak fitness. "or is it just you?" He traced the man's muscles with his fitness.

Elye bit his lip as he felt that hot tongue trail up towards his protruding collarbone, and closed his eyes as the sensation caused goosebumps to rise on the back of his neck.

His eyes opened when he felt those sturdy, warm hands on his chest and abdomen once more.

"W-well… I'm not an exceptional person, really…" He stated. "But most people don't look like this, no. Remember what I said about humans specializing in certain skills? I am a squire, training to become a knight- a warrior, someone who fights. I've trained most of my life for that purpose. So others with jobs that require a lot of them physically will be quite strong, like this." He explained, his cheeks were rosy from basically bragging about his physique.

Aiya kept lightly touching him as he listened to the man speak. He finally pulled away and nodded. "that makes sense..." He sat back on his pile of gold, trying to find a position that was comfortable. He finally pulled a large deer skull out from under his back and threw it to the other side of the cave, letting it smash against the stone wall. He snuggled up in the gold and sighed. "are you hungry? I should probably go hunting soon..."
