I read some more chapters of the novel and from my understanding (this might be a spoiler?)

 

 

I think that An Ziyan like how MaiDing is really a good natured person? (For example at the scene when he got beat up for trying to help the lady) and how he's straightforward? (Idkm there was a scene in the movie right) or maybe he just fell in love because he's different? I'm kinda confused too lol, I'll just continue reading and hope that AnZiyan opens up more :3

Thank you :3 I wish I could read chinese as well. I like though how Angelina portraits An Zyian and he is never off character. Maybe the line 'stop saying the word ' friends', it annoys me' it's the proof that even though he never showed too much emotions, he too was effected by Mai Ding. I guess I just have to wait until the whole novel is translated.

I know right. When he said in the movie after the cinema scene that he doesn't like men I thought that he was just joking around again, and he is in fact bi, and it made sense that he is attracted to Mai Ding, but after I read the book and he said that he is actually straight it made me confused and I started wondering how he developed feelings towards Mai Ding. Maybe I'm just lack of imagination lol

 

If you are referring to the translated novel in Chp 8, there was no mention that An Ziyan was really straight. Only Mai Ding thought he was straight.

 

In the later chapters, An Ziyan will reveal why he is fond of Mai Ding

If you are referring to the hot scenes, they can be found in the uncut versions. The one on the bed was the first time they had sex. The other one was after watching 'Brokeback Mountain'.

 

Do make sure you have the right 'uncut' versions.

The main song is called 无言. I think it's originally done for the series but the music is obviously a cover from the English oldie "Sometimes when we touch".

 

The song that was played when Mai Ding was alone during Christmas was 到不了. The original singer was 范瑋琪.

 

Another song that was used in the series (during the supposed breakup on April Fools Day) was 類似愛情. The original was sung by Elva 蕭亞軒.

 

Hmmm... Oh yes... Lee Hom's 'Forever Love' was also featured briefly in the episode when Mai Ding was sexually harassed by An Ziyan's sister.
