The light seemed to dance on the ocean, amd the scent of flowers of all kinds filled the air. Felix fixed the glove to his sisters wedding dress, hating her more than anything at the moment. "You'd think she'd suck it up," growled the small man, as he moved to his light brown wig, adjusting it so it looked normal. "It's her duty, not mine! He's another man, god dammit!" Felix had been complaining all the way to the unknown kingdom, and his poor servant David had to hear it, even while they were in the unfamiliar castles walls.

"I know it's hard Felix, but Naomi is a bit..." David had paused, his grey eyes looking at the stone flooring as he searched for the right words. "Stupid," the blond servant had eventually said,* looking up at the man currently in drag.

"No shit she's stupid," growled Felix, resting his elbow on the window ceil, "That stupid ass maid is going to rush in here, and lead me to the god damn prince soon! I wish I would just die already." Felix groaned, slamming his heeled foot down, a loud groan following.

David let out a soft sigh, rolling his eyes. "Felix, this is for your family and both our country, and the country we're in now. So remember you complaining twit, back straight, chin up, suck in your balls and act like a woman!"

Felix went to open his mouth, but quickly shut it. The young prince looked outraged, byt kept his huge mouth shut.

The two sat there in silence, before Felix had said softly, "I'll act like a proper lady, if you do your end of the bargin."

David smiled, "I always do. Now remember, he only knows Naomi from a portrait, so we have the upper hand. Please try and act like your sister, so when she does come back the poor man isn't confused."

Felix smiled, "that would be so much more enjoyable though."

David went to open his mouth, but a maid came rushing in, "my lady, it's time."

Something seemed to switch in Felix in that moment, and he began to shine. "Yes, thank you." Felix got up, glad for his high voice range in that moment. The maid gave him a bouquet, and placed a white veil on his head, before the two had headed out of the small little room, and outside to a large group of seated people. Instruments began to play that cliche wedding song, and he was suddenly grabbed by the elbow by his father. The two spike no words, except the sharp whisper his father had given him, "smile." Without a choice really, Felix did as his father asked him and smiled brightly, like the bride he was posing as.

Every step to the alter seemed like he was walking to hell, but no matter what he kept that seemingly real smile on his face... even when he found himself next to the prince, facing the priest. Why was his sister stupid enough to get him in this mess?

*I'll add a picture soon*

Name: Laurence Abrian

Age: 20

Hair: golden brown

Eyes: Green

_____

"Your highness, stop that" The prince's assistant snapped as he watched Laurence begin to pick at his clothes nervously. "you'll snag the fabric"

Laurence sighed and pushed his hair back out of his face for what seemed like the thousandth time that morning. "I can't help it, I haven't even met this woman and now I'll be marrying her? what if I hate her? What if she hates me? Ray, you have to at least see if I can meet her first..."

The assistant shook his head. "I'm sorry your highness, but you have to be out there in less than five minutes. Even if I had that kind of power we wouldn't have enough time... Just relax and be polite, I'm sure she'll like you" he tried to give the young prince a reassuring smile.

"I know..." Laurence turned away, checking himself in the mirror one more time. He would have to at least look his best. It would be insulting to the princess if he shower up to their wedding looking ragged.

A servant lightly knocked on the dressing room door. "Your highness, it's time"

Laurence took a deep breath and put on a confident smile, it wouldn't do for the next king to be seem looking like a frightened child. "I'll see you after this is over" he said to his assistant before leaving the dressing room. He stood up by the priest and tried to listen to the old man talk. It was horribly boring to just stand perfectly still while passages and formalities were read, and he couldn't even fidget.

Finally the time came for the princess to come out. She was so beautiful, Laurence had to force himself not to stare at her. He kept his gaze on the priest as he spoke until he was prompted to turn to the princess to say his vows. It felt awkward to pledge his love to a woman he had never met, he only hoped that she felt as nervous and confused as he did. It would be horrible to find out he was the only one feeling like this. He recited the long speech about love and devotion that he had been forced to memorize, not a single word was his own but that seemed standard. He finished and waited for the princess to say her own lines.

It took everything in Felix's power, not to scream at the priest, who had continued to drone on and on. Could this man seriously talk all day about love and a higher power, or was Felix going insane? No matter how bored the prince in drag had gotten though, he looked lively and excited... it was Naomi's dream to marry, so he had to try to look happy. Felix kept his attention to the priest, sneaking a few glances at the prince. His sister's marrying this guy? Felix thought the other prince looked like he was a nice guy, but looks could be such a lie.

Felix thought he was going to pass out, until he had to face the stranger. Felix met eyes with him, doing what he had done either he priest, and pretended to care. Felix only vaguely listened, only catching a few words here and there, only paying attention when he thought he had to speak.

When it was finally his turn, he spoke in a light voice. Luckily David had told him what to say, and with his amazing memory, said everything word by word. God he was good. Felix finished, gloating internally. The priest had spoken again, and then said those dreadful words: "you may kiss the bride."

Laurence tried to keep a straight face, not wanting to show his embarrassment at the idea of kissing the princess. He slowly lifted the veil to see her face... She really was amazingly beautiful...

The prince leaned closer, pausing for just a moment when they were close. "I'm sorry, it seems rude to do this when we've barely met..." he breathed, taking her hands in his own. He didn't wait any longer before pressing their lips together in a gentle kiss.

It felt somehow cruel to be forcing a kiss on such an innocent looking girl. He assumed she had never been kissed before... Laurence pulled away after a sufficient amount of time and gently squeezed the princess's hands before turning to the huge amount of people sitting in the pews. There was loud cheering for the new couple and Laurence's mother was crying tears of joy. Everyone seemed to think that this was an act of true love...

Felix's heart seemed to pound in his chest at the closeness of the two, preparing himself for the kiss to come. Who'd think his first kiss would be intended for his dim wit sister. Felix was speechless at the other man's kind words, his face turning scarlet. Felix peeked over at David, who looked as if he'd been sepressing the urge to laugh; a bit irritated at his servant, he looked back at the prince, who had grabbed his hands. Oh shit, was the only thing Felix had thought in that moment, up until their kiss.

The poor man's head was swimming, and all he could hear was his beating heart. Even the sounds of the many people cheering seemed to be drowned out. The only thing that seemed to snap him back, was the gentle squeeze the other man had given him. Felix looked at his own family seeing the satisfaction on his father, mother, and his three brothers faces, and of course the look of utter desperation to laugh on David's face. Felix looked over at the man, feeling bad for the lies and deception to pour out if his mouth in the future abd present. "My name Naomi, if no one's told you already," Said Felix, using his best impression of his sister. "I don't believe I have your name, I think it's only right to know it sense we're married." Felix flashed his best smile, batting his eyelashes.

"oh, I'm so sorry, I didn't think of that" Laurence's face flushed softly. "My name is Laurence, I wish I could have introduced myself sooner..." He sighed and looked out at the crowd. "I suppose we should go join the celebrations... It is our wedding after all"

The prince gently led his new wife towards the crowd. "If you get overwhelmed please just let me know... I don't want you to feel uncomfortable..." He looked around at all the people, trying to figure out who he could talk to first. "would you like to meet my parents? I'm sure they would love to get to know you..." he gave the princess a shy smile, not really sure how to act around her. They were married so they should be close... but they had only just met.

"Well, it's very nice to meet you," Said Felix, wanting to puke at the soft tone of voice had to speak in. Naomi owed him big time for conceiving the man before him, and for wearing this dress."I suppose we should, they have come to see us off," Felix giggled sweetly, alarmed on how spot on it was to his sisters.Guess years of making fun of her paid off. "I'm afraid they might find us a bit rude if we don't talk with our guests just a tad bit; but if I do get even the slightest bit overwhelmed, I'll make sure to come running for my husband." Flirting was definitely one of the things Naomi had done often, and as much as it pained him to flirt with another man, he did it for the sake of his country and family.

"Of course I would love to meet your parents," Felix had lied convincingly, flashing a sweet smile. "I'm afraid my father gets terribly drunk at social events, so I would like to avoid him if possible." Felix rubbed the back of his neck, a bit relieved to telling the truth, though he had left things out. Felix felt a bit apprehensive that if they had talked to him, his father would blab the truth and the plan would be ruined so early into it. "We'll have to talk to my father another day... but, enough of my constant rambling, let's go meet your parents." Felix looked up at the man, with warm eyes; even though all he wanted to do was strip off the dress and run off.

Laurence looked away to hide his blush as the princess reffered to him as her husband, this would really take a long time to get used to. He quickly looked back at her words about the other king. "oh, yes of course. I wouldn't want you to be put in an uncomfortable position"

"I'm sure I'll have plenty of opportunities to talk to him in the future" He offered the girl his arm to hold, doing his best to act the part of a proper gentleman even though he really wanted to get the socializing over with. It seemed like everyone thought that this was a happy occasion, one about two young people in love. Laurence knew he would have to do his best to pretend that he was completely head over heals for his new wife.

The prince began to lead Naomi towards his family, trying to weave through the crowds of people who showered them with blessings and congratulations. He had begged his parents to at least make it a small ceremony, he hadn't wanted to deal with so many strangers on such a day, but of course they had refused.

Felix bowed his head, "thank you. He gets a bit overbearing, and it's annoying in the least of words."Felix let out a sigh, but quickly returned to a soft smile and a cheery expression. Felix looked down at the arm Laurence had offered to Felix, but quickly denied the kind gesture, "it really is okay, but thank you." Felix was already holding hands with him, linking arms seemed even worst. It would be a different story if Laurence was a woman, but unless he had a very manly sister doing the same as him, Felix wasn't about to do that; but that train of thought seemed to stop as soon as the large groups of people began to give the newly weds their blessings. Felix was practically squeezing Laurence's arm, "let's talk to your parents, and go on our honeymoon already... this is getting a bit overwhelming..." Felix looked up at Laurence with pleading eyes.

If Felix had it his way, he would push everyone away from him and Laurence, but Naomi was sadly not the type to do so. Felix looked at the people, wishing they would all shut up and leave them be... God he hated people. Felix bit the inside of his lip in irritation, forcing himself not to frown. The only thing really enjoyable about the wedding was that he could make everyone hate his sister... but he wouldn't, Felix had plenty of opportunities for that.

Laurence frowned at the expression on Naomi's face, it seemed like the girl was getting completely overwhelmed. He quickly moved his arm to wrap around her waist, holding her close in a protective manner. "I'm so sorry, but please let us through... My wife isn't feeling well" he said quickly to the mass of people. "Thank you all very much, we're both so grateful for you all for coming"

He gave the guests a charming smile as he carefully pushed through, holding his wife close. He had never been so physically close with any woman before, so he didn't notice anything strange about Naomi's body.

After a couple moments he reached his parents. The queen smiled through her happy tears and hurried over. "oh Laurence, I'm so proud of you... You've grown up so well." she lightly touched his cheek before turning to Naomi. "I'm sure you'll be extremely happy together..."

Felix's eyes widened when Laurence had grabbed his waist, wishing he could punch him in the jaw. There was this thought in the back of Felix's brain he tried hard to contain though.. the thought that the touch was comforting to even Felix. Felix tried hard to hide the embarrassed blush, and tried even harder to hide the agitated look on his face. Why couldn't my father postpone, that drunken half-wit, thought Felix, beginning to bite the inside of his lip again. Felix was happy though, that he had gotten the crowed of bothersome people to go away... guess being held like a woman had its perks.

Felix tried to present himself in a more acceptable way, when he had spotted Laurence's parents. He straightened his back, relaxing his shoulders, and smiling softly. He watched the Queen touch her son's cheek, trying hard not to laugh. A Mama's boy, eh? thought Felix. When the Queen turned to him, Felix felt a bit of guilt tug at his heart-strings. They have no clue I'm deceiving them, these poor people, Felix thought, clutching the back of his sisters wedding dress. "Thank you," said Felix, "I promise to be a great wife to your son."

Felix thought of his unfaithful, wild sister, knowing he had to sit down and have a long talk with her before they switched. These people were to nice for her unfaithfulness, and wild nature.

"I'm sure you will, you look like such a sweet girl..." The queen smiled and reached out to lightly touch Naomi's hand. "Please tell me if there's anything you need, we want you to be as comfortable as possible..."

Laurence cleared his throat and glanced around. "Um, where is father?"

"Oh, he had some business to attend to, although I know he's very happy for you both... There are just some other things he needs to do"

The prince nodded, he hadn't really expected much more from his father. The king was always trying to get things done no matter what the occasion. "well, I thought I would bring Naomi back to her... erm, our chambers" his face flushed as he remembered that the two would be sharing a room. They were married after all... "I-I think it's been a tiring day for us both, we would like to have some rest before we set out on our honeymoon in the morning."

It had been arranged for them to go on a trip for a few days for their honeymoon. They would be leaving in the morning for a full day's journey.

Felix looked down at his hands, as the Queen had held them. She's so sweet, was all the small male could think of, as he nodded happily. "Thank you, you'ree far to kind," Felix said squeezing her hands softly, as a second thanks. They were all such sweet people, he really did feel bad he was doing this...

Felix looked up at Laurence, his lips curling in a frown. Even his father atteneded a wedding, and it wasn't even technically his. Even though Felix would never say it, he felt sorry for Laurence, he wanted to pat his shoulder or something out of sympathy, but refrained.

Felix's eyes widened at the thought of sharing the sleeping chambers with Laurence,,, hiw would he get dressed? How should he hide the fact he wasn't a woman at all?! Ass Felix's thoughts stirred in his head, he did a curtsy to the Queen. "It was a pleasure to finally meet you, please have a good day."Felix said, smiling brightly at the older woman.

Felix looked back up at Laurence, giving him a soft smile, before he looked down twirling the brown wig in his fingertips. "Rest sounds magnificent," was all Felix said, even though his thoughts were much more in diistress.

Laurence nodded and led the princess out to the quiet halls and towards the room they would be sharing. He waited until no one was around to begin to speak. "Um, I know that we're married and of course we'll be expected to uh, you know... Provide heirs to the throne... But I was hoping that we could wait for a bit to at least get to know each other first..." He felt horribly awkward as he spoke. "I mean, I find you incredibly beautiful and kind... I just would feel horrible for doing something like... Like that to a lady I just met..." He nervously pulled away a bit so they were only holding hands again. The prince's face was bright red and he couldn't bring himself to look st his wife as he waited for a reply.

Felix turned bright red, before he had gotten the urge to laugh. He tried his best to contain it, as he nodded. "I feel the same," he said his lips quivering, until he let out a chuckle. "You're so proper, I love it." Felix enjoyed Laurence's company, though he'd never say that out loud. Laurence seemed to be the poster child for what prince's should look, and act like; while Felix was an example for how a Prince shouldn't act.

"Let's spend a few um..." Felix paused, not sure really when the Naomi problem would get sorted out. "A few months..." Felix said slowly, tensing up as he waited for the reply back. Not only was Felix sure he wasn't gay, but he was sure Laurence wouldn't want to see his "bride" with a penis. Felix rubbed the back of his neck, as he nawed on the inside of his lip.

Laurence let himself relax at his wife's suggestion. "Y-yes... That sounds like a good idea" part of the reason that he had been so against this marriage was that Laurence had had much of an interest in women. He had always told himself that he just hadn't met the right one, but he had to make sure that he could 'perform' when the time came. Now he would just have to make sure his parents didn't start asking questions....

The prince stopped in front of the door to their room and opened it to reveal an extremely fancy bedroom. It was clear that no expense had been spared, although there was only one bed... There was even a door in the corner that led to their own bathroom, and the windows looked out over the lush gardens.

Felix walked in, his eyes wide with amazement, and his jaw practically hitting the ground. "Wow..." he whispered faintly in his usual voice, but quickly looked at Laurence, "this reminds me off a home a little," he said, his voice going up a few octaves. "But, my bedroom's facing this really beautiful meadow. When the sun hits the water, sometimes the reflection of the water will dance ever so slightly in my room." Felix smiled softly, playing with the wig. "But, the design is much more amazing than my room." Felix looked down, twirling the fake hair in his index finger.

Felix looked up, taking off the veil, "um, where can I put this?"He asked, feeling a bit home sick. "Do don't know if you have some sort of system, or something, and I don't want to mess up your room." Felix looked at the ground, his voice hurting from keeping up the act for so long, and his heart feeling a swirl of feelings. SLeep would do him well, he just needed to get undressed. Sleeping with this wig is going to be bothersome,, Felix thought, as he ran his fingers through the wig.

"Your home sounds truly amazing... Maybe one day we can visit it and you can show me. For now I hope that you are satisfied with what is here... It is very beautiful I assure you, and I will do my best to make sure you get to go out and see it" He tried to sound confident that she would like the country, even though he had his doubts. how could anyone truly love a place that they had been forces to go to?

"I don't have a system, you can just make yourself at home here..." Laurence gently took the veil and hung it up in the closet. There were a lot of dresses already in the closet and the prince pulled out a soft nightgown. "Here, we've prepared some clothes for you to help you settle in... I'm sure you'd be more comfortable sleeping in this than in your wedding gown..." He smiled at the princess. "I can leave the room while you change..." He offered.

Laurence really did want the girl to feel happy here, if they were to be married he didn't want to feel like he was trapping her or making her sad... Although he knew that he had a duty to his kingdom to keep her and have her bear his children, even if the idea made his stomach knot.

"Maybe we could wander around after the honeymoon, I would really love to see more; from what I've seen already, it's beautiful."Felix said, rubbing the back of his neck. "My home was beautiful, but there's more to see in the world other than a large meadow, and flowers that seem to never stop growing. My country is a bit dull, I must confess..." Felix said with a laugh, as he peaked at the dresses in the closet. Felix was a bit surprised that Laurence had already gotten dresses and nightgowns for his sister, in fact it brought a genuine smile to his face.

Felix softly grabbed the nightgown, shaking his head. "No, it's okay. I can just go in the bathroom! It's really no problem at all!"Said Felix, turning his balk and walking towards the door. He suddenly stopped in his tracks, "thank you by the wa-" Felix's voice cracked, but he quickly gave a pretend cough. "Sorry, I'll get dressed now," Felix said, about to have a heart attack out of fear of being found out.

Felix hurried into the bathroom, and even though it had taken him several minuets of frustration, had removed the dress. Felix kicked the dress after it has slipped off him, and stepped on it several times. He never understood a woman's obsession with corsettes and ribbons, it complicated taking off and putting on an outfit. Felix huffed angrily, before slipping on the nightgown. Felix took off the wig, itching his scalp. Naomi was on his shit list for as long as he lived.

Laurence waited for a couple minutes, but it seemed to be taking a really long time for the princess to get changed... The longer he waited the more he started to worry. What if something had happened? What if she had become overwhelmed with stress and was crying? What if she had gotten tangled up in her clothes and was trapped? He just couldn't stop worrying. The price hurried over to the bathroom and knocked on the door. "Are you alright in there?" He called. Suddenly he remembered the way the girl's voice had cracked... It seemed extremely likely that she had been close to tears. Without really thinking he opened the door just a crack. Just wanting to peek in to see if she was alright. He told himself that if she seemed okay he would apologize profusely for peeking. . but he couldn't shake the worry...

Felix had the wig clutched tightly in his and that faced the door, as he leaned against a wall, his head tilted back so his adams apple was more noticeable. He ran his fingers through his short hair, trying to muster the courage to go share a bed with another man. When he heard the other mans voice, he looked at the door, unmoving. "I'm fine,"he called back in the sweet girlish voice. He looked at himself in the mirror, disgusted by the looks of himself in the mirror. Felix pulled up the nightgown, trying to see how he could hide those parts, if had too. Felix tilted his head, only looking for a second before letting go of the skirt to his nightgown, letting it fall to his ankles. Felix put on the wig again, making sure his hair wasn't peeking anywhere, before he grabbed the dress and shoes.

Felix walked to the door, stopping to take a deep breath. Guilt seemed to wash over his face, before he had taken another deep breath and moved his small feminine hands to the door knob. He didn't even realize the door was cracked, since he had been to focused on his own thoughts to notice his surroundings.

Laurence had stayed at the door for long enough to see everything. He felt like he was in shock. The princess was a man? He pulled away from the door as the man came closer, but he couldn't hide the confusion on his face. He stared at the person that he had married with a look of complete and utter bafflement "you're... Not the princess.. ." his words came out as more of a question than an accusation. "I-i thought you were hurt so I peeked and you-" he cut himself off and tried to stop the trembling in his voice. "W-where is the princess? Who are you? Was there even a princess in the first place? Are you an assassin? What- what the hell is going in?" The questions flooded from his mouth as he slowly backed away from his new 'wife'

Felix walked out, and saw the look of confusion on Laurence's face. Felix went to ask him what was wrong, but Laurence had answered the unsaid question. Felix's eyes widened, and listened to the vast amount of questions, but had quickly began to speak when he had accused him of being an assassin. "I'm Naomi's twin brother, Felix," the smaller man said, throwing off the wig, and tossing it to the side. "Look, hear me out. I'm not here to hurt you, I'm here too..." Felix let out a groan, throwing the dress on the ground. "Look, I feel rally guilty about this whole thing, but I had to for my family... my... Naomi is an idiot okay!"Felix sighed again, beginning tp pace, "Naomi fell in love with this guy, but the guy ended up kidnapping her, and the little fuck is making a game out of it. My father freaked out, worrying about the treaty we have with you, so my dad, my servant, and my brothers forced me to dress up as my sister, and pretend to be her for a few months, while they search for her, and..." Felix sighed, "I'm just asking you to let me pose as Naomi, until she actually gets here. Then I'll switch with her, and you'll never see me again if you want..."

Felix swallowed, before saying softly, "or... you can call the guards, our countries will go back into war, and we could be enemies forever."

Felix began to think of the kind words the Queen had given him, and his heart began to throb. "I'm really sorry for this," Felix apologized, looking down sadly, waiting for Laurence to reply.

Laurence sat down heavily on the edge of the bed as Felix finished speaking."my god...." He murmured, trying to process all the information. "That's..." He couldn't find the words and just shook his head. "Of course I won't call the guards... I don't want to start a war... It's just..." He trailed off and covered his face with his hands. "Damn... You're a man... No wonder I thought you were so beautiful..." He muttered to himself.

The prince finally stood up and ran a hand through his hair. "I won't stop you from pretending to be your sister... Although I would prefer if you at least didn't wear the wig when we're alone... Its... Confusing..." He walked over to the dresser and started to search for something he could wear to bed. "But I suppose this means we don't have to worry about changing in front of one another..."
