"I promise in won't cry!" Felix said, a look of desperation in his eyes. "I'm just a sympathetic cryer... the most I'll do is get angry, but i, good at hiding it at times. I just really hate the idea of you being alone, and dealing with it on your own." Felix grabbed ahold of his hands, giving him his best puppy dog eyes. "We're married, so it's kind of part of the whole wife thing to get yelled at by your in-laws," Felix joked, trying to lighten the mood.

Laurence laughed softly and gave the boy a light kiss. "That's true, maybe he'll warm up to you since you're so cute..." He smiled and wrapped his arm around Felix's waist again. "Well then, come along my love..." He began to walk towards the throne room. "Just don't get angry with him if he says something horrible..."

Felix gave Laurence a large grin, before he ruffled his hair. "I'll try my hardest to make him warm up to me. Hey, maybe we could settle this feud between our parents if he starts liking me!" Felix said hopefully, as the walked towards the throne room. "Because I want him to warm up to me, I won't get angry. I promise." Felix whispered, as they stood in front of the large door that hid the throne room. "Are you ready?"

Laurence took a deep breath and pulled Felix a little closer. "Yes..." He opened the door and stepped inside. The throne room was huge and incredibly ornate. Laurence's parents sat in their respective thrones, his mother smiled when she saw the couple. But before she could say anything the king spoke up. "We have heard you have finally started acting your age Laurence" He said coldly, not even looking up from a paper he was reading. "It is a shame that what drove you to do so was an insult towards such a useless person..."

Drawing a breath, Felix did a little curtsy, and nodded at the queen sweetly. He knew it was unwise to speak up, but a curtsy couldn't hurt, could it? Felix turned his head towards Laurence, before he squeezed his hand softly, and smiled. The kings words did hurt, but he was much more concerned with how Laurence was. Not even a minuet after meeting his father, and Felix already couldn't stand him. At least acknowledge your son, you prick. Felix thought to himself, even though he wore such a picture perfect smIle.

Laurence bit his lip, trying not to get angry with the man's words. He slowly walked closer to the throne. "Father, I know how you feel about Naomi... But even if you dislike her we can't let these people get away with this kind of thing, they may begin to think that they can insult royalty as much as they please. Not to mention the damage that would be done when our children take the throne. You have always taught me that I must crush any sign of opposition before it has a chance to grow. I will not have my own people defy me like this. I will take care of the planning and organization to dispose of these people, but I need you to give me a larger number of guards to control, as well as an area in the castle where I can keep Naomi safe until the threat is gone"

 

The king sighed and kept looking over the papers. "hm... Take it back to your room Laurence" He said, referring to Felix. "We will call for you once we have come to a decision"

Felix was just about to say something to Laurence's father, but quickly shut his mouth. No, don't talk. This is exactly what he wants... Felix tried his hardest to keep in his rising anger, but he just couldn't do it any more. Doing another little curtsy, and looking down at the floors, Felix began to stupidly speak in his perfect Naomi impression. "Your highness, thank you for at least thinking it over. But, please hear me out. We do not know exactly what these heathens are after. They could be after me, or maybe both of our families. The least you could do is take your eyes off those papers, and give this situation the treatment it deserves." Felix already regretted the words he spoke, as soon as he finished his sentence. He looked over at Laurence apologetically, and mouthed the words "I'm sorry."

Laurence stared at Felix in complete horror as he spoke, tightening his grip on the boy's waist. He managed to regain his composure just as the prince finished. "I-I'm very sorry Father, Naomi still isn't used to our-" He stopped himself as the king finally raised his gaze from the papers.

 

He set a cold glare on Felix before beginning to speak. "You really think you are in the position to be ordering anyone around? You are completely useless here, the only reason we agreed to a peace treaty with your country was because of the economical and strategical advantages. Not because they sent over some child to wed my son. Your life is completely inconsequential, your country should know well enough that we could slaughter them with ease. If you have any interest in saving your own life and the lives of your people and family then you should keep your mouth shut and let more intelligent people make the decisions" He turned his attention to Laurence. "Keep a better handle on your wife Laurence, or we shall settle this issue by killing her ourselves"

 

The queen sat perfectly still the entire time, her body rigid with tension. Laurence's father leaned back in his throne and looked down at his papers. "You may leave"

 

"T-Thank you father" Laurence quickly pulled Felix out of the room before he could say anything else.

Felix wasn't scared, nor was he even mad, instead, he just felt his anger rise even more. If his country wasn't at stake, then he would have said more - he would have said a lot more. Felix shot an outraged look at the ground as they walked out, his face bright red from anger. When they made it outside the throne room, Felix stomped his foot in anger, and let out a groan. He pulled away from Laurence, and looked at him. "I'm sorry," he apologized with gritted teeth. "I just..." He groaned again, before he stomped away. I wish I could have punched him in his jaw, Felix thought to himself, the click of the hills he wore irritating him further.

 

It was a stupid move on his part, but how could his father act as if the situation was so small! Couldn't he see there might be much more at stake, than just maybe, Felix wasn't the only one in danger? And could he at least gave Laurence direct eye contact, instead of treating him like an insect?

 

Feeling guilty for walking away from Laurence, Felix stopped for him to catch up. He looked over at Laurence, anger burning in his eyes like a sun. "You'll be a far much better king than your father." Felix said, his nails digging into his arm.

Laurence hurried to catch up with Felix, his mouth set in a worried frown. "We shouldn't talk about this here..." He murmured, taking the boy's hand and leading him to his bedroom. He shut and locked the door behind them before sitting down on the bed, pulling Felix to join him. "I'm so sorry... I shouldn't have let you meet him like that, I should have given you much more warning for what he's like..." he couldn't bring himself to meet the boy's eyes, he felt so guilty for what happened.

Felix looked at Laurence, still outraged and irritated about the who situation. "No. Don't feel bad!" Felix said, as he began to pave the room. He threw his wig behind his back, crossing his arms again. "I told you I wanted to do it, and you know what, I'm glad I went. Now I know just how big of a prick your father is. It's a learning curb,so stop feeling so guilty dammit!" Felix said sternly, before he grabbed Laurence's face, so he would look at him. "You always feel so guilty, even when it's my own fault... Stop it!" Felix said, a bit sweeter now. "It was my fault. I wanted to go in with you. I wanted to see just who this father of yours was, and why you felt so... stressed to see him. I know now that he hates my guts, and I shouldn't open my mouth." The more Felix spoke, the more he went from being angry, to feeling guilty. The change in mood was noticeable in his voice and posture; his voice dropped so it was low and quiet, and his body began to slump, and his fingers trembled.

 

Felix looked at Laurence, before he rested his forehead on his shoulder, as if he was trying to apologize. It didn't take lomh, until the smaller male pulled away to remove his dress, and neatly put it away without a word. He walked back to Laurence, and sat on his lap, straddling him. He buried his nose into the nape of Laurence's neck, not caring he wasn't wearing a thing. Running his fingers through Laurence's hair, Felix felt the feeling of guilt being replaced with homesickness. "Let's go to bed," the prince said.

Laurence sighed and held Felix close, moving his hand up to stroke the boy's hair. "He's just a horrible person... I guess now you can see why I don't want to end up like him..." he frowned and looked down at the boy. "Are you sure you wanna go to sleep already? I don't want to go to sleep with you feeling so sad... I'd rather talk about it"

When Laurence ran his fingers through his hair, Felix felt his heart lift a little. You'll never end up like your father, Felix thought, his arms wrapping around Laurence's waist adoringly. "I'm fine," Felix said soflty, his fingers grasping Laurence's shirt. "Just... can we stay like this a little while longer? I really like it when you stroke my head..." Felix said, as he planted a garden of kisses on Laurence's neck. "Are you okay? Is there anything I could do?"

Laurence smiled and pulled away for a moment. "Hang on, let me get my clothes off too... All this stuff is uncomfortable" He quickly stripped his clothes off and threw them on the floor before pulling Felix back into his lap. "There we go... Time to snuggle" He leaned in and gently kissed the boy.

Felix felt his cheeks burn when Laurence took off his clothes - though, it wasn't like he didn't mind either! In fact, Felix found that he enjoyed the situation even better when the two were naked; to be honest, it was the sort of intimacy Felix really liked. Felix especially loved it when Laurence softly kissed him, making what was a great situation, into the perfect situation. Felix kissed back, his arms wrapping around Laurence's neck. Pulling apart for only a moment, Felix began to speak, his lips still grazing over Laurence's, "I can't picture my life without you anymore." Felix softly said, before lightly kissing Laurence again.

Laurence smiled and leaned into the kiss, slowly moving his hand up to run through Felix's hair. He finally broke the kiss only to lean down and kiss at the boy's neck. "Neither can I... I love you so much Felix" He breathed, nuzzling his skin. "I never want to be away from you"

Felix held in a soft moan, when his neck was kissed. Instead, he let out a soft sigh, and his body trembled ever so slightly. His cheeks burned bright red from Laurence's words, so to hide his embarrassment Felix caught hid lips again - this time in a more intimate, and deep way. He rose slightly, his lips parting to speak before a loud knock on the door was filled the room, which was followed by a woman. "I had just received word the two of you have returned, do you need anything?" The Maid asked from the other side if the door

 

Felix flew off of Laurence's lap the moment the knock on the door began, and his under the blankets. His heart was beating loudly in his chest, and he even held his breath. His body shook like a leaf in the wind, his mind going at a million miles per second.

Laurence helped Felix hide under the blanket at the sound of the knock, narrowing his eyes and staring at the door. "No, we're fine. We would like to rest, please leave us alone" He called out. After a moment he stood up and walked over to the door. He locked it to make sure that no one would come in before returning to Felix's side. "Are you alright my love?"

Felix was quiet for some time, his head buried inside a pillow, and his body covered by the blanket. It wasn't until Laurence came over to ask if he was okay, that Felix even made a noise. But instead of talking, Felix let out a semi-loud laughter, his hands muffling the noise. Turning on his back, Felix grabbed Laurence's face, pulling hid lips to his. "Yeah, it was actually a little funny." Felix said, talking inbetween kisses. "Scary, but, you protected our little secret wonderfully!" The smaller male said, breaking

their lips, to rest his forehead against Laurence's. His arms wrapped around Laurence's neck, his eyes looking into his lovers eyes sweetly.

Laurence laughed softly and pulled the boy back onto his lap. "You're so adorable... I have to be good at keeping our secret don't I?" He leaned in and pressed a gentle kiss to Felix's lips. "I could never let anything bad happen to you" He stared down at the smaller prince lovingly and gently stroked his cheek.

"Oh shush, you're making me blush," Felix said with a smile, as he grabbed Laurence's hand and held it affectionately. For a while, Felix was back to silence, the only thing speaking was his love heavy eyes. "Laurence..." Felix began to say, squeezing hid hand, "when my family first asked me to be in a dress, and act like my sister, I thought that I would surely hate you. My father always complained about yours, so I just figured 'father like son', but..." He paused for a second, bringing Laurence's hand to his chest. "You're nothing like him, and I wish I could go back in time and tell myself just how much I would come to love you."

Laurence smiled slightly. "Thank you... When I first heard about the arranged marriage I thought that I would never be able to fall for someone that I had only seen a painting of..." He rested his hand on Felix's and lightly squeezed it. "I never could have imagined how wrong I was..." he leaned in and pressed a kiss to the boy's forehead. "I'm so glad that I didn't end up in a loveless marriage like my parents..."

Felix blushed, his fingers intertwining with Laurence's as he spoke. "Laurence," the smaller male breathed out, his eyes twinkling like stars. Sitting back up again, Felix pulled Laurence into a tight embrace, his lips pressed against his collarbone. It was obvious Felix was blushing even though his face was hidden, because his body was red and hot.

Laurence smiled and held the smaller prince to his chest. He lightly moved his fingers to run through Felix's hair. "I love you so much... My beautiful husband..." He lightly moved in to kiss down his neck. "I wish I could spend every moment of my life with you and just forget about everything else..."

Felix closed his eyes when Laurence began to run his fingers through his hair, feeling the sandman slowly carry him away. His husband's words made Felix smile, and they even relaxed him a little. Even though the kiss on his neck aroused Felix greatly, he just didn't have it in him to ask for sex. Instead, he relaxed against the bed again, his arms still wrapped around Laurence tightly, before he fell asleep.
