Fai noticed the smile upon the other's face. It was a nice thing to see after the day he's had. He took hold of the glass of water but placed it down beside the bowl. He then got up and followed behind Damien. "Honestly your too much for words. You didn't have to go as far as preparing a room as well. You do realize how hard you are making this for me?" he asked as he noticed the expression on the other's face. He was going to comment on it but decided against it. For now Fai followed silently behind the other. This was not how he expected things to go. Though as he followed Damien one thing became apparent to him. Fai clearly failed to notice this from the beginning. "Uh, Damien... Is it possible your that kid from five years ago?" he asked

"Hmm? Yeah I was that kid." He said as they walked back upstairs. "I was the kid hiding behind the maid who opened the door. I'm surprised you didn't notice." he said shortly before opening a door right next to Damien's room. "Mrs. Rowan is a great housekeeper. She did all these for you. You'll like her." he opened the door and led him inside. The room was almost identical to Damien's , although it was a bit smaller and with the sitting area omitted. The bed sheets and the pillow cases were replaced by fresh ones and on the pristine white bed lay a few set of clothing articles: Two navy blue dress shirts, one graphic tee, and two pairs of dark shaded jeans. As usual, there was another pack of newly bought underwear tucked under the pants as well. Damien cleared his throat. "No need to worry. This is nothing. Those clothes were mine when I was smaller. If you want, you can keep them." he sighed, clasping his hands together a bit nervously. There was really no reason for him to fidget in such a way, but Damien, being an extremely awkward person clearly isn't the type that would send someone to bed and say a sweet 'good night'. He clearly wanted to say something as he stuttered a bit before giving up, blushing a bit. "Well, uhm... Good night. Fai." he turned and stepped aside before leaving the room.

"I honestly didn't pay much attention to you back then. I did however notice you for a split second. Wait then if I calculate this correctly does this make us siblings?" he asked a bit nervously. Fai was sure he could be wrong and the boy was just a son to this housekeeper he spoke of. Even so he wanted to know. The idea of having an older sibling excited him a bit. Though that didn't show in his expression at all. He slowly entered the room and looked around. "It's perfect! I'll thank this person kindly if I get to meet her." he said walking in. Fai glanced over his shoulder and looked at Damien. "Good night to you as well. Hope you have sweet dreams." he said with the sweetest of smiles. He was really a gentle and kind person.

Damien was in his room, sitting on the corner of his bed hugging his knees up to his chest. He was holding his phone, talking to his father in a calm tone. "Yeah. You have to believe me, Dad. He looks exactly like you... Yeah. Well, I asked him to stay and wait for you. Nooo I'm really being nice to him actually. Okay... Okay... Mhm... Bye." he sighed before hanging up. Damien looked at the wall to his left, the wall that separated their rooms from each other. "I'm quite sure i'll like him being here. I don't know if he feels the same." He shook the sad thoughts before picking up a change of clothes to hit the shower. He walked past the other's room, paused for a bit and leaned against the door, trying his best not to make any sound. This is ridiculous. What am I doing? Prying on him like this. He stepped away from the door and rushed towards the bathroom, having a quick ,warm shower.

Fai looked around the room. He really couldn't sleep here. It was too perfect in every little detail. He sat upon the floor on the opposite side of the bed. This way it would looks as if he rolled off the bed or something to that nature. He didn't wish to mess up the neatly made bed or anything else for that fact. Beside in his case the floor felt cool which felt nice in a small way. Leaning against the bed he closed his eyes. In actuality he was more tired than anything at the moment. His house was miles from this one and he had walked all the way there. His mind went blank for a short while as he fell asleep.

Damien finished his shower and decided to check up on Fai. Since the other has been really quiet there, not being able to do anything, nor watch tv, he must get bored. He knocked on the door gently before opening it. "Uhm..." he whispered, but the boy wasn't in the bed. He stepped inside and saw a figure lumped on the floor beside the bed. "Ohh, why are you sleeping there?" he whispered, giggling a bit. He bent down, picking him up as gentle as possible as to not wake the other up and placed him on the bed. He stumbled a bit from the weight as his face came closer to the others. Damien's eyes widened upon his close contact. Two things went on his mind from this situation: First, to his surprise, Fai's sleeping face doesn't resemble his father's face at all. Second, he didn't know exactly why his heart is beating faster than it should be. Maybe he's really cute up close. Or maybe because this is the first time I've gotten face to face with another person. Or maybe... Maybe... His eyelids fluttered along with his chest before straightening up and leaving the room. Did I just felt THAT? It can't be. No. he thought, covering his mouth with the towel that was resting on his shoulders. He tried to shut everything off for the rest of the night, but they won't go away-- not even the still unnoticed blush that had crept up to his ears.

Fai we as sound asleep as the other had come in. Naturally the slights touch would have awoken him. Though he was extremely exaughsted and sleep was all concerning him now. He did however feel that he was being moved which bothered him a bit. Even so he continued to slumber. He wasn't one to dream but he did mumbled incoherently in his sleep at times. His body was still as he laid upon the bed. He was completely unaware of Damien even near him, let alone this close to his face.

(A/N: Going to time skip...)

Morning came and Damien got up real early for school. He took a quick shower and put on his uniform. "Ah. have to wake up Fai." he said to himself. He knocked on the door before opening it gently. "Fai, are you awake? Let's have breakfast together before I go to school." he called out, biting his lips gently, wondering if the other would be mad about him waking him up at 6 in the morning. The other's back was turned to him so he's guessing Fai is still asleep. He went inside quietly before poking the other's shoulders. "Fai?" he whispered with adoration in his voice.

Groaning at the feel of being poked, he opened his eyes. He turned to see Damien beside him. "What time is it!? I'm not really a morning person." he grumbled as he sat up. He didn't realize his own words would draw out a point. Meaning he never could have left before sunrise if he wasn't an early riser. His eyes meet with the other's for a moment. Fai tilts his head a bit looking at Damien. "School....? School....? Oh it's a weekday isn't it. I don't want to get up so eat without me. I'm not in the mood." he said a bit fussy. He did have a causal way of speaking but only when waking up. Fai was depressed now thinking about school. Without his mother around he couldn't continue to go to the private school he had been attending.

The young man felt a certain joy inside him upon seeing Fai's morning face although he fought that strong urge to poke the other's reddening cheeks that even left some marks from the folds of the bed sheets. "Aww. It's kinda sad not being able to eat with anyone, you know." Damien pouted his lips before straightening up. He thought the same way about the other's schooling. Now that his mother is gone, and basically, he had nothing left, he won't be able to go to school now. Heck, he didn't even brought anything like a school uniform or even a few books from school if he still went there. "Well then. Let's have lunch together when I get back. If you need anything, just ask Mrs. Rowan." he smiled and leaned closer but stopped halfway, realizing what he's about to do. What am I doing? Am I going to give him a good-bye kiss? N-no, we're too old for that. And I can't get too comfortable with him just yet. He scratched his head before leaving the room, ate his breakfast downstairs and got ready for school.

Fai stares off to the side. "You put me here didn't you? I was fine where I was sleeping but thank you. As for that, being alone isn't too bad. One gets to think clearly before doing anything." he said as his gaze drifts toward Damien. Having an older brother was odd but not too bad. He wouldn't have mind eating with the male but he was too out of it to get up. He wished he could still go to school. As he started to close his eyes again he froze a bit. He noticed Damien close to him. He wasn't sure what the male was about to do but he didn't make any sudden movements. He waited until he left the room to sit up again. "I suppose he is a bit odd though." Fai chuckled softly

"Oh, Dio! Why is your face so red so early in the morning?" Mrs. Rowan asked him while having his breakfast. Damien's face was in deep shade of red as he had embarrassed himself in front of his younger brother. Now he'll think he has a very weird and awkward older brother. "It's nothing... well." He hated lying to Mrs. Rowan so he blushed more and looked down, hiding his face. "I did something really embarrassing. I tried to give him a good-bye kiss even if we're not that close yet." The old woman chuckled. "Well, you are naturally a sweet kid after all. Maybe it's just out of habit." Damien sighed and scratched his head. "Fai won't come down and have breakfast with me. He said he's not much of a morning person." The old woman smiled. "Then i'll make some breakfast for him later. Did he sleep well?" "Yeah I guess. There are bed sheet marks on his cheeks when I woke him up." Damien grinned and chuckled a bit. It was only whenever he's with his old house keeper that he'd let out such genuine smiles. He fell quiet as he continued to eat, thinking he should arrange his brother's school papers as soon as possible. He didn't want the other to stop from going to school.

Fai slowly got up from the bed and sighs. He walked out the room and down the hall. He peeked into the kitchen to see Damien was still there. He was hiding behind the wall since he noticed the other was talking to someone. He was making sure he wasn't noticed. He didn't know what to do. He felt a bit bad for not going to eat with him. It was just a meal and eating alone could be a bit sad. Though Fai wasn't about to walk in while the other was talking to someone.

"Ah!" a faint voice came from behind Fai. It was a young girl, carrying the hamper of laundry from last night which contained Fai's clothes and shoes as well. Her blonde hair was long that ran all the way down to her waist and it was neatly tied in a pony tail with a black bow on it. Her eyes were wide and blue and she has the lips like cherries. "A visitor? Ah, excuse me." she bowed a bit and called her mother, Mrs. Rowan. "Mom, the visitor is awake now. Please come!" she told Fai. "I am a house keeper here. I am Sora." "Fai! You're up!" Damien overheard the maid talking to someone so he got up and went to where the two are. "Ah i'm so glad you're up now. Wait let me introduce you to our house keepers." he held Fai close, holding him on his shoulders. "Everyone, this is Fai, my step-brother. Fai these are our house keepers. That's Mrs. Rowan, she's been with us for a long time now and that's her daughter, Sora." The young girl blushed and looked down. "I am so sorry, I mistook you as a visitor. Forgive me, young master." Sora bowed.

Fai glanced back as he noticed the girl. She certainly was beautiful and almost like a little doll. He was going. To say something until she did. Before he had a chance to slip away he was being talked to by the housekeepers. He was silent for a moment. Suddenly Damien popped up and he was being introduced as his brother. Fai looked at Sora. "No need to call me that sweetheart. I'm sure Damien is just getting carried away." he said poking the male's cheek. Being called young master freaked him out in more ways than one. His gaze drifted over towards the older woman. "So it's you whom I owe thanks to. I appreciate the room. It was too perfect I was nervous to sleep but I slept just fine." he said with a polite now.

Mrs. Rowan smiled. "You don't have to thank me. It's my job. Dio wants your stay here to be very comfortable." Damien blushed a bit and looked away. "Come, Sora. Let's give these two some private time with each other." With that, the two of them left. Damien pulled a chair and smiled. "Join me for breakfast?" he asked.

Fai nods as bit as he watched them leave. He slowly walked over to the table and took a seat. "Listen, please don't go around saying I am your brother. I get that the idea is nice because even I don't dislike it. So for now please don't say it. I honestly have no idea what your parents plan to say to me this afternoon and from experience I have a feeling its not going to end well. So don't get too attached to me. You'll only make a sad face when I leave." he said looking at Damien. Fai was sure this would be like five years ago. So he was making sure to keep a safe distance from the other. It was for both their sake in the end.

Damien passed the bread to him as he spoke. "Mhm. I understand but..." he whispered before leaning his chin on his hand, gazing up at him. "Even if they don't agree on accepting you... You can't deny my right as your older brother. I mean, yes, I was angry because of this situation before, but... You shouldn't be treated badly. You don't deserve it. You are still.. my brother." he smiled. "You're too cute for me not to get too attached to." he added, sipping his coffee for a bit.

Fai looked at him before laughing. "I am sorry to have such an outburst. You do realize I am too old to be considered cute, right. Though I suppose you have a point. I shall be your brother in the proper sense and nothing more." he said closing his eyes. He held the bread given to him but made no attempt to eat it. His mind was too deep in thought currently. "So what grade are you in? Also which school do you attend? Your uniform is much different from the one I wore." he said

Damien's smile faded slightly but took it back and tried to ignore the stuff that the other mentioned. "Well. I'm in my third year in senior high. I'm graduating soon from Shizuoka Academy. I plan to go to New York for college." he smiled and glanced back at the boy. "How about you? What school did you used to go and what year are you now if you haven't stopped school?"

"I am currently attending Hakasen Academy. I have taken a month leave due to a loss in the family. I only have three days left since then. So I have too find a way to continue attending there. I enjoy going there so I seriously don't wish to withdraw. Though I know my current situation and if that is to be then withdraw I shall." he said looking depressed now. Fai honestly disliked the idea of quitting school before completing it. He was silent for a while after speaking.

"Hakasen, huh." Damien smiled gently. "Don't worry. I am not going to let you withdraw. I'll help you." he finished his meal before sipping his coffee again. "And it's not out of pity. I really do want to help my brother." with that, he stood up and grabbed his jacket and bag. "See you later then." he grinned and ruffled the other's hair before taking his leave.

Fai looked at Damien as the other stood to leave. He wonders if that was written upon his face. He never mentioned pitying him yet maybe it was an obvious thought. After all he disliked such a reason for him to be here in the first place. Slowly standing he followed after the other. "Are you sure they'll be here by noon? I seriously don't wish to over stay my welcome." he said looking at the other.

"Mhm. Of course. I called them last night. They took the first flight. Don't worry, I'll be here before they arrive. Hey..." he lifted the other's chin and grinned. "Don't worry about it too much. Even if they won't agree on you being here, I won't let you astray. Not now, not ever." he said those words with such gentle tone before looking away to hide that small blush. "Kay. See you later." with that, he grabbed the door before stepping outside.

Damien only takes his bike with him to school and not their family car because it would be very eye-catching if he did. He took his first two subjects in the morning before taking his leave, rushing towards the mall. Somehow, he's really excited to give Fai something to begin their friendship and their bond as brothers. He entered a shop and it didn't take him too long before leaving it, carrying his purchase dearly. On his way, he passed by a cake shop and hopefully thought about Fai, wondering if he likes sweet things. Well, I won't lose anything if he didn't like this. I'm going to buy him a cake~ he thought, entering the cake shop, buying a box of assorted cake slices.

Fai looked at Damien silently. Once the other left he let out a small sigh. He walked towards the kitchen looking around for the housekeeper. She seemed really nice and easy to talk with. After looking around but not really going too far down halls, he found her. "Hello miss. I am sorry to ask but would you happen to have some blank papers and a writing utensil I could borrow for a brief moment?" he asked softly. He was bored not having anything to do. Surprisingly, he wasn't completely at a lost. He knew one thing he could do that was simple and quiet. With that in mind he awaited an answer from the lady.
