Mrs. Rowan smiled brightly at him before nodding. "Ah of course. Just one minute... I think Dio's old sketchbooks are around here somewhere." she walked past him, approaching a tall book case. She pulled out a what seems to be a tool box and a white spring bound sketchbook. "Dio hasn't been drawing lately so maybe you could borrow this from him. Here, you can borrow these from him too." She handed him the tool box that was full of different kinds of pencils. "Do you like to draw too?" she asked, flipping on some of Damien's sketches. Some were ugly ones that seems to be a torso of a man, some face sketches, but he was just as hopeless.

Fai was a bit surmised to hear the sketchbooks were Damien's. He shook his head no. "I'm terrible at drawing let alone simple sketch work. Though I enjoy just the feel of a pencil moving across paper. It helps me think even when I'm at a lost. I guess it's why I love school so much." he said with a small chuckle. He bows politely before walking off with the items in hand. He went back to the room he had slept in. Sitting upon the floor he pulled his knees up and rest the book upon them. Fai flipped to a blank page and sighs. He didn't know what to put down upon the sheet. Then something came to mind and he took out one of the pencils. Fai began to sketch a face. At first it was just going to be of a random person. Though when he finished it was of Damien. Every detail exact to the point. He closed the book and sighs. "That is odd.."

A few hours later, Damien rushed back home carrying all the stuff he bought. "Fai?" he was yelling even when he's still in the gate, excited to give him his present. He's only a few hours ahead from the arrival of his parents so he still got time to help Fai get dressed. "Fai? Mrs. Rowan where's Fai?" "Oh, I think he went back to his room. He was bored so he borrowed your sketchbook and some drawing tools." "What? You showed him my shitty sketches?" he exclaimed. Mrs. Rowan made a furious expression. "Dio, how many times do I have to tell you not use words like that in front of me." Damien blushed heavily and looked down. "Sorry, Mrs. Rowan. I'm going upstairs now." he pouted and rushed upstairs.

Once there, he slammed the door open and gasped seeing that the other was holding his sketchbook. "Aaah! N-no, you don't have to see my drawings!" he threw the things he's holding and grabbed the book, holding it close, his head bowed down as his ears were in deep shade of red. "S-sorry..." he whispered. "I'm just not good of an artist."

Fai didn't hear his name being called. Despite getting upset over the first drawing he actually did six more just like the first. All of Damien. Though while working upon the last one he flinched hearing the door burst open. "Ok! Wait a minute!" he said reaching for the book back. "I didn't look at your drawings. Even if I did it's not so bad. It shows you have potential with the right training if you ever so wished for it. Besides, I was using the blank pages. Please let me remove them first before you take it back." he said slowly reaching for it. He didn't want Damien to see them.

Damien frowned at the younger male before standing up, not giving the sketchbook back. "N-No. If you want i'll buy you a new one.. just..." then he noticed what the boy drew. His eyes grew wide as he noticed it was his image. He blushed deeply and saw the succeeding pages were also his faces. He brought the book down and bit his lip, looking up shyly at Fai. "T-they.... They were good sketches." he mumbled, returning the book.

Fai turned away so he wasn't looking at Damien. "I didn't say to look at them. Just toss it out and don't buy me one alright. Anyway, how was school?" he said slowly placing the pencils back inside the box. He slowly moved it towards the other before sitting upon the bed. His eyes not making contact with Damien's at the moment. He was feeling a bit embarrassed. "Don't tell anyone about that alright. Say you drew it or something of that nature. I seriously don't wish for anyone to know alright." he said tilting his head and looking at the other. Fai realized if Damien was home then so would his parents. He stood up and look at him.

He had been so preoccupied with the sketchbook that he didn't realize time fly by him. "Uh you wouldn't happen to know where my only pair of clothes are? I should change into something appropriate before they arrive. As he stood up Fai noticed some bag about. "Damien your bags are upon the floor. You should be more careful."

Damien smiled a bit, holding the book close to his chest. He was in a happy daze when the other asked him about school. "It was fine. I only have 3 classes for this morning." he looked down at the boy and pursed his lips. "Ah yeah. My parents will arrive for an hour or two. I have bought you some clothes. And i have a gift for you too!" he smiled, tossed the book over the bed and knelt to pick up the bags. He happily handed him a blue paper bag that seems to be from a gadget store. "I hope you like it." he smiled brightly, waiting for the other to take it.

//clue, it's a cellphone. :D

Fai looked at him as he held the bag. He slowly opened it and frowns. "Damien... You seriously need to think before buying things like this. What if I already have a phone?" he asked him softly. In all honestly he was overjoyed. This meant he could still talk to Damien even if he was tossed out of here. Though Fai knew better than to admit that. Even his facial expressions hid it. He turned to looked back at the boy. "Anyway I should be preparing for their arrival and most likely my departure. I shall admit this time here has made me more happy than I've ever been. I wonder why that is." he said winking at Damien.

Damien shook his head. "I knew you don't have a phone. Why, you just said last night that you need to use ours." he grinned. "I bought it for you so we'll have a contact with each other." he blinked, remembering the clothes he bought for Fai as well. "I bought you a pair of dress shirt. I assumed you're two size smaller than me since I saw you wore my clothes before. Here!" he pulled out a very light shade of beige long sleeves and a new pair of pants. "Come on, it's time to dress up~" he grinned, somehow loving this moment between them.

Fai had forgotten that was his plot in gaining access into here last night. Now he felt a bit stupid for say that. He looked at the clothes the other had gotten him. "Oh alright I'll change now." he said closing the door. He completely ignored the fact Damien was still within the room. Not so much ignored but more like didn't see a need for him to leave. "So are you interested in art?" he asked him curiously. Fai started to remove the shirt and pants he was currently wearing. While putting on the new pair of pants something was noticeable upon his back. Two oddly placed scars which were clearly not healed properly. One from his upper left shoulder blade down in an angle to the center and the other from the center of his back in an angle to his lower back. Fai didn't seemed to be bothered by them since he didn't say anything.

Gulping nervously, Damien stood there, motionless as he stared at the other's back. It was slightly broad on the shoulders but narrows down to his waist. He also noted the scars that seems new. "F-Fai.. Those scars." he wanted to ask about them but he cleared his throat. "Uhm... never mind." When the other leaned as he put on his pants, he bit his lip nervously, eyes tracking down on the other's perfectly round bottom. He just wished the other would finish changing quick to end his moment of torture.

Fai stood straight and glanced back at the other. "You sure are an odd guy. Anyway, I'm ready so I do hope they arrive soon. I don't wish to wait about too long. This is honestly the most difficult thing I've ever been through." he said as he began buttoning up the shirt. Once fully dressed Fai looked at Damien. He found some things about the other to be interesting. Though there was so much he could learn from him. For now he kept his mind off such topics.

As if on cue, Damien's phone rang and picked it up. "Yeah? Alright. We'll be right there in a minute." he hang up and looked at Fai straight. "They're here." he whispered, stepping closer to Fai, tucking the dress shirt neatly, straightening the fabric on Fai's shoulders before fixing the collar. Their faces were really close as he did those, stepping back as soon as he was done. "I won't let them abandon you again. I promise." he said and led him downstairs, holding his hand firmly.

Fai smiled as Damien was fixing the small imperfections of his clothing. "It's like your well prepared in having a young sibling. Did you take a class?" he asked lightly poking fun at him. He found it impressive Damien was good at the whole brotherly feeling and moments. He honestly wasn't sure if he had those qualities within himself. Standing straight and looking at the other he nods his head slightly. Fai didn't really mind being rejected for a second time. It was something he prepared for properly in his mind. Nothing would phase him at all. Slowly heading down the stairs with Damien, Fai did his best to hold his composure.

"Nah... Maybe i'm just glad I have a cute younger brother to take care of." he smiled gently as they walked down the stairs. There stood a figure in the middle of the living room. It was a woman with flowing golden locks and light pink lips. You could tell that the woman is in her mid forties but her eyes speaks of wisdom for more than forty years. She was smiling. Her face showed no signs of resentment, in fact, she was nearly in tears. And then there's a man beside her. His face wrinkled with age and eyes with the same look of wisdom in them. But he is in a wheelchair. Damien led Fai down to meet his parents. "Dad... Mom. This is Fai. Fai, this is my mom, Dominique. And this is... our dad. Arthur Cross." Damien introduced them briefly.

Fai wonder why the other said he was cute again. He didn't particularly dislike being called it but he felt too old for such words. Nevertheless, he followed the male into the living room area. He glanced up looking at the woman. He had seen her once before but it was clear time seriously passed. His curiosity was in the reason for her tears. He wonders if something happened to her before arriving here. He bows politely to her as Damien told him her name. "It's a pleasure to be properly introduced to you miss." he said. Fai however avoided eye contact with the male in the wheelchair. The letting of five years ago clearly playing in his mind. He saw no point in being introduced to him once more.

The woman held the other's shoulders and lifted him from bowing too much. "I'm glad to finally meet you." she said in a calm voice, kissing both his cheeks before stepping away, clasping her hands together. "When Damien told us you were here, we really pushed our schedules to meet you. We are so glad you're doing well, Fai." she said and held her husband's shoulder. The old man looked up to him and frowned, small tears gathered in the corner of his eyes. He reached his hand to hold Fai's. "I am sorry I failed you." he started in his hoarse voice. "Fai, let me make up for all those years that were taken from you as my child. Please." Damien smiled, tapping his brother's shoulder, seconding his father's request.

Fai did his best to stay clam as this was a bit overwhelming. He looked at the male who now held his hand. He sighs softly. "All she even wanted was for you to acknowledge my existence. If you can do that now then it's more than enough. I'm sure she'll smile down upon you." he said looking to the side. This was a bit odd and yet he wasn't upset by the outcome. He was actually kind of happy. In the end he wasn't pushed away a second time. "I apologize for causing you to rush your busy sechdules. I'm sure there are probably much more important matters than this. Please forgive me." he said bowing again. Fai's manners were so perfected he couldn't help it at times. This was going to be seriously odd for him. Even with such a thought in mind, Fai felt a sense of calm

Damien was beyond glad Fai gets to stay for good. Now that he's here, he'll have someone his age to talk to about things. He'll have a new friend in Fai and of course, probably a best friend in his little brother.

They stayed in Fai's room after that talk. Damien was sitting on the carpeted floor, leaning his arms and head on the edge of the bed. He was looking up at Fai with a contented smile. "I'm glad that turned out well." he said softly, his voice having a sense of endearment in it.

Fai looked at him with a smile. "Yeah that's did turn out better than I even expected. I suppose you can freely call me your brother now." he said moving close to Damien. "So is there anything you want to ask me? I know you tried before and I shot you down. Though I am staying so I suppose one secret at a time." he said grinning at him. Fai found Damien as a really sweet person. Having him as a big brother was almost too perfect. He closed his eyes as he had his head beside the males. Fai awaited anything the other might ask.

Fai's face was rather too close to him that it was too late to hide his blush. Good thing the other's eyes were closed so he didn't have to see that. "Uhm... I have one question." Damien said, nearly whispering as his eyes trailed on the young man's long eyelashes. They're beautiful... He thought. He was tempted to touch them lightly but still held back. "Those sketches... They're really beautiful. But why me?" he just had to ask. "We just met like... not even for a full 24 hours and you already memorized my face."

Fai opened his eyes as he looked at Damien. "Don't ask me that! I don't even know why I drew you. I guess because you were the last thing I saw before I started drawing. So it's what the paper and pen put together. Sorry if it bothered you." he said closing his eyes again. He honestly couldn't answer that properly. Plus Damien wasn't the last person he saw it was the housekeeper. Which made it even stranger. Fai glanced at the other slightly. "Can I ask you something? What is it like living in such a fancy place? I don't just mean the house but everything. It's like even though I'm here I feel out of place. Like that one white rose among the red roses" he asked

Damien giggled at the other's reaction. "Okay, fine. I'll shut up about it now." He paused for a bit, thinking how to answer the other's question. "Well, it was nice and comfortable. I got used to it, but you know what? I plan on living in the U.S. after graduation. I'm going to a university in New York..." he bit his lip for a bit, realizing something. There's only six months left for him to finish school. He just got together with his brother and then he'll leave him after six months. It broke his heart as he came to this realization. "But those were just my initial plans... It's not final yet." he said, pulling off a smile.

Fai averted his gaze as he sat up. "Oh... New York sounds like a nice place. I hope you can go and make your dreams come true." he said softly. He glanced around the room before remembering something. "I wonder where my previous clothes are. I just remembered I had something in my pocket. Without it I..... well I could be anyone really." he said with a sigh. He slowly got up and walked towards the door. "Want to come with me Damien? You'll get to see something interesting about your little brother." he said smiling.

Damien perked up like a little puppy upon hearing that. "Of course! Where are we going?" he straightened and stood up, patting off dirt from his pants. "Ah your clothes? They were being dried, I think Mrs. Rowan have those whatever it is that's in your pocket." He tilted his head a bit from anticipation.
