Humans earth's greatest predators, with advanced knowledge ad skill they think themselves the greatest beings on earth. When in reality they are nothing more than a food source for predators of higher power and intelligence. Cattle herding together in their tall buildings and city lights, hunted down without even knowing what was out there preying down upon them. Vampires, Werewolves, Shape-shifters, and other Mythical creatures were the real top of the food chain and there is no one on there level to stop them. Well was no one, a lone man stands up to those creatures hunting them down one by one in search for someone he holds dear, and another he hates, what dangers will this search bring him?

Name: Hikaru Onitaiji

Race: Japanese/Human

Age: Looks twelve but is really nineteen

Ability: Enhanced senses, Superhuman strength, reaction and speed, Twin senses, Healing oneself, Unlimited Blade Works

Weapon: Katana and multiple blades, Throwing stars, Small bombs, and a whip

History/Bio: Hikaru is older than he seems he lived a long time ago with his family till a horrible fire happened that left only him and his twin brother Rikuru barely alive. A long vampire found the boys and turned his brother. Hikaru attacked the male leaving himself and the vampire injured, because the vampire turned Rikuru he healed some of his injuries a bit faster and saw his weakened brother. So he gave him some of his blood in hopes of healing the male, but was taken away by the vampire that turned him before he could see if what he did had worked. It took a little time but Hikaru's wounds healed himself and turned him into something, he was still human, but he noticed that his senses heighten along with his strength, speed, and reaction. His injuries also healed themselves and his canine teen had grown sharper, and over the years of searching for his brother his aging had stopped or rather it was slowing down.

He traveled to many towns and learned new things to help him in his journey. Such as many forms of fighting styles, but not only that, but what really lurks around on this planet. Creatures of all sorts hunting down humans as a food source, Hikaru took it upon himself to stop then and seek information from them. That is where he gained his Katana that was forged from a metal that was fused with an aloe that harms anything that is inhuman. He also learned the ability unlimited blade works from an ancient book given to him by an old man he saved from a curse placed upon him by a witch.

He has watched time pass and technology and human being advance in life, but has yet to find who he is truly looking for. The vampire that stole his brother from him, at first he would hunt down vampire, but they were harder to find than some of the other creatures out there, but he found one after a while and searching and got into a battle with it that taught him something new. Hikaru was able to drink the blood of a vampire that alone was the soul reason his aging stopped, and why he was able to heal himself. Vampire blood was the source of his power and his poison toward the vampire race.

Name: Allen Purtel

Race: Vampire/American

Age: unknown but looks 17/18

Ability: enhanced senses, can see in the dark, can heal most wounds on himself, limited mind control (fairly easy to break through and can only last 30-40 minutes) enhanced strength

Weapon: knives that he keeps hidden on his person at all times

History/bio: Allen was just a normal teenager going to high school, but in his senior year he was a victim of a school shooting. One of his close friends in the class was a vampire and turned him just before he died. Allen awoke and lived with his friend for many years. One day his friend was killed by a vampire hunter but Allen could never bring himself to blame humans for that. He understood how terrifying he must be to normal people. He developed a certain sense of self loathing that he began to hide with self centered smugness. He sometimes stays with another vampire for a short period of time but never for very long.

He changed Hikaru's brother because he felt pity towards the dying human, although he ended up regretting it since he seemed to cause more harm than good. This isn't something that Allen would easily admit since he's afraid of showing any weaknesses. He wanders the Earth aimlessly, looking for some kind of purpose for his existence although so far he hasn't found anything.

Eyes shifted back and forth his eyes dilated with fear did he lose him, he couldn't tell he couldn't hear anything in the loudness of the city of lights. It was after midnight as he gazed around the dark alley not knowing that the eyes that were really watching him were up above in a building. Once he thought he was safe he walked down a street mingling in a crowd, but once he turned a corner where there were little witnesses something lashed out from another alley and wrapped around his neck yanking him off the streets he was dragged down the wet ground till he hit a dumpster bags falling down upon him with a horrid smell invading his senses. He coughed as the long leathery weapon loosen around his neck and snaked away.

"Good evening Charles." A soothingly warm voice sliced through the noise on the streets. The male on the ground jumped and glanced around till his eyes landed upon a small figure hidden in the shadows. He quickly got up and moved back.

"Hikaru! Baby! Glad to um... you in good heath." A dagger swiftly whizzed past the male hitting the wall behind him as a way of showing the man that he didn't want to hear his bull.

"You tried to kill me this time Charles." The slim body jumped down from the fire escape and walked forward toward the now sweating snitch.

"What? I was sure that Big Polly could help you out I swear I wouldn't do that to you Hikaru, you're my best customer honest!" His back hit a wall as the dark figure glared in the darkness.

"Okay! Okay I get it, but look this time I got some info I'm sure will interest you, it's about that vampire your after and I'll tell you about him free of charge!!" He froze in place his interest was piqued.

"The guy's name is um....A-Allen and I heard he was somewhere up north, but that's all I now really!!" The figure stared at the cowarding man before he back flipped onto the fire escape.

"You better be right this time...Oh and Charles if I find out you lied to me I will find you no matter where you hid." Charles shivered closing his eyes he opened them again just to see that both Hikaru and his dagger were gone. On the roof of a building Hikaru stared into the night.

"Allen." He mumbled the name his eyes glaring into the darkness, finally after all these years of searching he found a clue, it was small, but it was all he had.

The dim light of the hotel room disguised the grisly scene. A knocked over wine glass lay shattered next to the lifeless body of a young woman, her throat torn by sharp fangs and her once flushed cheeks white as parchment. Another form sat by her, just as still and cold as the woman. But he wasn't dead, at least not in the usual sense.

Allen hated to kill humans, it wasn't the way he wanted to live. Then this woman had come to his room, drunk and beautiful, with a laugh that made him feel alive again. The vampire wasn't sure why he hadn't been able to stop. Usually he could leave the human alive and just confused. Somehow he had wanted to drink the life out of her completely.

With a soft sigh he stood up and grabbed his few possessions from the closet. Someone would find her, and they would link her to him before long. The best solution was to get as far away as possible before that happened. Allen opened the window to the cold night and jumped out onto a nearby rooftop. With just a fleeting glance back at the hotel he began to run, no destination in mind except his current location.

He could have easily turned the woman, she wasn't too far gone. But after his own long life and his last attempt to save a human, death seemed a far kinder fate.

All night he walked north not knowing where his feet were taking him he was silent as the night was growing lighter by the hours. His stomach growled his hand touched it he had to eat. He spotted an open noodle stand his eyes lite up as he hurried down to it where an old an worked. He ordered everything on the menu and all within thirty minutes. It wasn't as filling, but it stopped his stomach from growling. He knew what he truly craved, but his true meal was hard to come by now that he was out and about. He ordered two more bowls finishing off the first one as soon as the older man started on the next.

Mew

Hikaru's eyes gazed down at a hungry looking kitten it looked weak from lack of food as it purred lightly it's tail swaying. Hikaru felt his cheeks flush if there was one thing in this world that he had a soft spot for it was small animals. When his next bowl was down he ordered a fish side dish and gave it to th kitten once it was down while he ate the rest of his food and paid the man in full.

"Thanks for the meal, have a good night." He placed money in the tip jar, pet the purring kitten, and left the small stand. He took out his phone and turned it on the first thing he did was listen in on the news about murders, deaths, and kidnappings. He listened in on anything weird, and at first he heard nothing, but then a special report came up about a woman who was found in a hotel room with her throat ripped out. Hikaru stopped did he really hear what he thought he heard? Could it have been a vampire, but usually they are very secret about their killings. The place where it happened was a two day trip n foot, but Hikaru headed in that direction since it was heading north, things were falling into place for him today.

Allen had moved to the roads on his second day of travelling. Word of the murder had already spread all across the country but he knew that he wouldn't need to worry about being recognized. With a sigh he sat down under a tree on the side of the road. He felt nothing but anger towards himself for hurting the woman. But there wasn't anything he could do about it.

He had taken her life to feed himself, and now the only way to honor her was to keep living. At least that's how he saw it.

The vampire buried his head in his hands, trying to clear his thoughts of regret. The humans who passed him no doubt thought that he was just some homeless person with a hangover. He never did care for his appearance too much. The sound of footsteps and of people talking helped him drown out his own thoughts and left him in an almost meditative state of mind.

The faces of the boys from so long ago came back to his mind. The one he changed and the one he had killed... He hadn't meant to kill him... But it was another accident. One that would no doubt weigh on his conscious for the rest of his life.

He found himself sleeping in the mornings in trees and walking around at night since he knew that was when his prey was about he had already made it to the hotel that he heard about and without being noticed he sneaked inside and looked for clues of his own since he could see and smell things that normal humans could not. He found hairs in the carpet that he tested on his sword the first three were human hairs, but the fourth one sizzled and burned away, so his theory was right it was a vampire that did this. He walked around till something crossed his nose what was that smell? It wasn't the hotel it was rather sweet his first thoughts were that it could have been the woman, but he smelled wine mixed with perfume that must have been the woman,so the other smell must have been the vampire since he didn't think it would be a cop. There was nothing else here so Hikaru was able to sneak out with ease and gain some distance which was where he was now half a mile away from the nearest town.

As he walked along a forest path his nose picked up on something, it was that sweet smell again, now that he was outside he got a better grip on the smell it was...vanilla? His eyes flickered he knew this scent all too well when he was left for dead with his brother's blood slowly healing him and fusing with his body. It was a painful process that his body had to go through, but besides the burnt ashes he smelled there was a sweet vanilla scent that lingered distracting him from the pain he had to endure. It was him, it was the vampire he had been searching for so he followed the scent by then it was close to midnight when he reached the small town. He looked around the scent was getting stronger, but mingling with other smells Hikaru could feel the hairs on the back of his neck rise this was it, he was finally going to see his little brother. He readied himself before entering the town instead of being down in the streets he stuck to the rooftops gazing around while following the sweet smell.

"I'm almost there Rikuru."

At night Allen wandered the streets, looking for something to do with himself, and during the day he slept in caves in the forest. He had just drunk blood and so sunlight wouldn't kill him immediately, but he knew that he would need to find a more permanent shelter soon...

He found a small town that he enjoyed. Small towns were always so pleasant for a short stay, but dangerous for a longer one. There were few crimes or culprits so he could easily be found. Allen decided to stay in the town inn until he could decide where to go next. With his body weakening with every day he went without feeding, it would be a death sentence to keep wandering in the open.

Allen climbed up to the roof of one of the buildings, letting a sigh out into the night air. He wasn't sure what to do next... A familiar scent reached his nose and he stood up, mind racing to remember where he had smelled the scent before... He looked around with wide eyes, searching for the owner of the smell.

"Who...?" The vampire wondered aloud, his body tensig in preparstion to defend himself.

His eyes widened when he finally stopped jumping from rooftop to rooftop he was right on top of the vanilla scent and when he saw someone on the roof of a hotel building he stopped and hid inside the shadows blending in perfectly with his dark clothing. His eyes closed he could feel his heart racing, but he knew he had to calm it down or he would give away his position. So he focused on the male's face as he looked around he noticed him tensed up. That must have meant he caught onto his scent or maybe felt his presence. Hikaru recognized the man's face it was the same guy who turned his brother and tried to kill him, he could feel his emotions trying to bubble out of his small body, but he held it down for the sake of having the element of surprise.

His hand tightened on his whip he would use a distant weapon first before getting close it was always his battle choice for an enemy he felt was strong/ He slowed his breath everything felt as though it went silent for this moment before he finally struck lashing out his whip it headed straight to that vampire in hopes to throw him off balance. The time was now to rush in and subdue his lone waited enemy.

The sound of whip moving through the air made Allen jump back. The lash only grazed his cheek, drawing a few drops of blood. It took a moment for the vampire to recognize his attacker. It was the boy he had thought died all those years ago. "You're alive?" he murmured, shocked at the information. "but how...?" he pushed away the thoughts to focus on the current situation.

Allen pulled a knife out of his belt to defend himself with. "calm down, I'm not here to fight you" he snapped. "I didn't even know you survived." he easily jumped back out of reach of the whip. "I'll be gone by tomorrow morning if that's what you're so upset about"

He jumped down onto the roof pulling his whip back when it made contract. So it was him, he was stunned that Hikaru was still alive just like how he pictured their bitter reunion to be. Hikaru glared at the other when he saw the dagger he stepped out into the light of the moon so that his figure was seen better. His fingers tightened on his whip and he took a fighting pose just in case the other tried something.

"I could care less what you're doing here, the only thing I care about is my little brother now where is he?!" He could feel the rage enter his body he was ready to pounce, but something in the back of his mind told him that he shouldn't kill this vampire just yet, no until he finds his brother, then they could destroy him together.

"And don't lie to me ether, when you left me for dead I saw you carry him away." As he spoke he looked the other over for an opening but there was none.

Allen couldn't help but let out a groan of annoyance. Of course he was looking for his brother... "I don't know where he is, I made sure that he understood how to take care of himself with all the changes but then he wandered off and I haven't seen him since" he said bluntly, slipping the knife back into his coat. "that was two years ago so I don't exactly have any clues." the vampire crossed his arms over his chest, despite his relaxed appearance he could easily reach a large number of knives hidden on his body.

"....What?" His eyes widen when he listened to these selfish words, after all this time searching for this man to get his brother back it turned out that he lost him? He had no idea where Rikuru was at this moment, what if something happened to him, what if he was captured and sold, or worst being tortured. How could he just lose his brother and act so indifferent toward this?

"What do you mean he wondered away?! You turned him, he was your responsibility, and you just let him out of your sight?!" Hikaru got so mad that he started to curse the vampire out in his native tongue. While also saying he should have taken care of his brother when he took him away. Tears came to his eyes, all his efforts were wasted on this half-assed answer, he closed his eyes trying to calm down, but it was shaking so badly, what was he going to do know he was back at square one with no clues what so ever. He glared at the vampire, how dare he wear that smug look on his face as if none of this was his problem, and he looked so relaxed it made Hikaru sick just looking at him.

"No.....You're going to help me find him, you made him I'm sure your able to tell where he is, this is your fault and you are going to finally clean it up." Hikaru pointed his finger toward the other, he was not going to let this man out of his sight, just in case he was lying about his brother.

"My responsibility? Your brother isn't a child anymore, he chose to leave and start his own life. I have no right to stop him." The vampire glared at Hikaru. "And why are you so angry? I saved his life! That kid would have died that night if I hadn't changed him" he pushed his hair back out of his face. "at least you know he's alive, believe me, your brother was strong enough to survive on his own" Allen really didn't get why the man was so angry, if he was going to be angry about anything then it should be that Allen hadn't changed him too... At least that's what the vampire thought.

"You want me to thank you?! You high and mighty prick he's a blood sucking demon because of you, I'd rather us have died together than have him become some over grown blood sucking parasite like you!!" What was with this vampire acting as if he knew his brother, Rikuru must have wanted to get away from the man who killed his older brother.

"How dare you act like you know my brother you know nothing about him, he's never lived on his own before I was always with him, but now because of you we're separated, your going to help me find him or this will be the final time you see the stars." He was not going to play any games tonight nor was he going to let this vampire escape him, not after years of searching. He put his whip away and took out his katana to show his serious nature, he would not kill the other quickly ether it would be painfully slow.

"Will you resist me?" His eyes seemed to give off a sort of beautiful glow as he tried to hold down a hiss that was raising in his voice.

Allen didn't actually have anything against helping the other. Expect that he seemed extremely annoying... But it was actually fun to watch the boy get pissed off about everything. "Maybe I do know your precious littlw brother better than you think" he said in a cool tone. "You haven't seen him in so long, and he may or may not have been happy to be given some independence... I'll help you find him" the vampire continued before Hikaru could attack. "But if you keep saying how much you regret that he survived... Well... Let's just say that I'm not going to help you find him when he runs away from you too" he brushed his hair back, his eyes glinting with cruel amusement.

Hikaru stood there gripping his sword tightly, never had he wanted to behead, or torture someone so badly like he wanted to do to this man. His dark green eyes turned a bright crimson red for a split second before he closed them and tried to calmed down, he was not going to let this man get the best of him. But Hikaru could not help his hot temper when it came to his little brother.

"Be silent, if you know where my brother is then move, and do not speak of him anymore you truly know nothing about us. You are nothing more than a kidnapper and murderer." He finally calmed down his attitude going back to that aloof coldness, opening his eyes they were dark green again. He put his sword away, but kept on guard in case this man wanted to try anything. He stood there folding his arms waiting for this arrogant bastard to start moving, but before that could happen a loud growl came out of no where. Hikaru froze, of all the freaking times for his hunger to make itself heard and in front of his enemy no less. He said nothing as the hungry little monster screamed for food, and it was not craving human food, but the delicacy in front of him, but there was no way Hikaru would feed off of this man he'd rather roll on his stomach and die. He had to eat lots of normal food just to get his stomach to shut up for the day, he was so focused on catching this man that he forgot to eat. His stomach roared out again making his face grow hot with annoyance.

"I never said I knew where your brother was" Allen snapped crossing his arms over his chest. "I was kind enough to agree to help you find him since you seem to be so hopelessly inept..." He couldn't help but smirk at the sound of the man's stomach growling. "oh? it sounds like you can't even feed yourself... Are you sure you're responsible enough to be taking care of your brother? Maybe you should just trust that he would have found you if he wanted to see you again..." he stepped towards Hikaru with a mildly amused expression. "so am I going to have to babysit you and find you some dinner? or can you handle that on your own?"

His ears turned red when he heard the other make fun of him he growled was this guy serious? Was he actually treating him like some child? Granted this guy must have been centuries old so Hikaru might have been younger than him, but he was not some kid who could not take care of himself, this man truly new nothing, and what did he mean when he said he would help him look, did that mean that vampires could not locate the ones they brought with them to the vampire world?

"Shut up!! My brother thinks I'm dead because you killed me and took him away from my dying body, stupid parasite!" Hikaru screamed out, what was going on this guy was bringing out the worst in him, but what bothered Hikaru the most was that delicious scent getting closer toward him, he looked up at the vampire noticing that the male was getting closer to him.

"STAY BACK!!" He shouted jumping backward onto the roof of a door entrance more than anything he did not want to lose himself in his thirst for vampire blood and end up accidentally killing this man. His body trembled as his fang clicked in he closed his mouth to hide them, he had to eat something it was the only way to settle down.

"......I need to eat after that we will look for my brother, since you are a vampire you have access to vampire lairs and cults don't you?" He looked away sitting down so that his form could stop trembling.

"Killed you? It was self defense you stupid child" Allen shook his head, trying to keep his temper in check. The vampire stopped in his tracks at the human's sudden yell and tilted his head to the side. "Do I? Well, I don't like to spent time with others of my kind... Those places often had vampires... 'Playing with their food' as they put it..." He brushed his hair back and sighed. "You probably don't believe me, but I do value human lives... At least more than my breathren" his cold gaze fell on the young man again, examining his expression curiously. "And why would you want to go to such a place? You're hungry aren't you? Or..." His mind finally put things together, the human didn't want him close... He was hungry... And he wanted to go to other vampires... "Could it be that you crave the flesh of a vampire?" A low chuckle emitted from his throat. "And you call us parasytes... What does that make you?" He stepped forward threateningly, an angry glint in his eyes. He didn't like being threatened like a monster, but he would never react with hurt or sadness, that would be far too pathetic.

So he found out quickly about what he could do, this vampire was very observant. Hikaru glared at the other when he was called a parasite, but the male didn't think he was one unlike a vampire Hikaru would be fine for seven to ten years on one vampire without thirsting for them. Plus if he was starting to get hungry he could eat human food which would tide him over for one full day if he ate enough of it.

"That would make me an anti-parasite, I destroy those who think of my kind as nothing than fodder. Also you say you value human life? Say that again to the woman you ripped to pieces in that hotel two days ago." Hikaru stood up and move back when the other got near what was this man thinking did he want to be killed?

"Anyway stop wasting my time, lead me to this nest you were talking about." He crossed his arms Hikaru didn't care that he was rude to this man there was no reason for him to have this boy's respect.

Allen visibly flinched at the mention of the woman he had killed. "that... was an accident..." he muttered, picking his words slowly and trying to keep the pain out of his voice. He had hoped to forget about that incident. The vampire usually tried to forget about the times that he lost himself to his instincts. Nothing good every came from remembering the victim's final moments, the way their blood turned cold in his mouth or their bodies went limp in his arms... For a moment Allen felt as though he was back in that hotel room, the woman's faint laughter still echoing in his ears as her eyes glazed over in death. "I would never... do that on purpose..." he breathed, barely loud enough to be heard.

The vampire tried to shake the memory out of his mind and refocus on Hikaru's next words. "There isn't a nest that I visit often... The last one I went to was in Germany and that was twenty years ago..." he stared at the boy with a slight frown. "although if you would stop being so rude I might be able to find one nearby"

His ears perked at the vampire's voice somewhere in his heart he knew that what the man said was the truth was there really a vampire in this world that would care about humans like that? Hikaru tried to think about it in a non biased way, and then the thought of his brother came into his mind would Rikuru kill a human being to stay alive? He knew his brother would never do such a thing so he would believe this guy's words for now unless he was proven wrong.

He was about to apologize for mentioning the death of that woman when the other had to go and tell him to stop being rude to him or he wouldn't help him find a vampire nest. Hikaru frowned as he placed his hands on his hips and clicked his tongue.

"Why should I show you any respect when-" His stomach interrupted him loudly wanting to eat right now, Hikaru's ears turned red as he sighed.

"Fine....I apologize for my rudeness, so can we get going now before I change my mind on eating you." He almost apologized, but his pride spoke louder than his stomach he crossed his arms waiting for them to get going.

Allen forced himself to laugh, pretending that he wasn't still bothered by Hikaru's words. "Alright then... I suppose that's the best I'll get from you" He headed towards the edge of the roof and took a deep breath, searching for the scent of other vampires in the air. After a few sniffs he managed to pick up a scent. "ah, there we are..." he murmured. "try to keep up" without waiting for Hikaru he leapt off the edge of the roof and to the next roof. The vampire nimbly ran from rooftop to rooftop as he grew closer to the scent of human blood and vampires.

Hikaru watched the other sniff around for other vampires he stood there watching the other, search for other vampires. So that was how they found one another. That was how Hikaru found this guy, but he had to get it from the crime scene. When the other told him to keep up he had no trouble doing so as he flew high into the air with each jump. It was as if Hikaru was gliding across the rooftops, but he made sure to keep his distance from the vampire that was showing him the way.

"Hey! Can you tell how many there are?" He glanced over toward the vampire.
