''Isn't it a gorgeous morning, ladies?''

''Not as gorgeous as you, Roiben~''

''Sigh... I know.

Roiben ran a slender hand through his luscious golden hair, which shone rather nicely in the round, heated sun. The market was truly amazing on the weekends. All the wonderful smells and colors Elven citizens seemed to be allured to. For Roiben the market was like a sea of gems. His fingertips sneakily slipped into pockets and purses, pulling out the first thing he touched. He wasn't caught, most of the time.

Roi's eyes pranced around from elf to elf, looking for the richest, and the youngest. 'The younger you are, the more vulnerable,' Roiben thought.

It was not long before Roiben had finally found his catch-of-the-day. A young blonde boy with stunning purple eyes stood beside a fruit stand. By the looks of it, this kid was rich. In excitement, Roi spun around, grinning like a fool to the women behind him.

You Ladies wanna' see somethin' cool?''

''Okay!''

The charmer chuckled and winked at the girls before strolling over to the shorter blonde elf, biting his bottom lip in slight nervousness. Just before he lent over the boy, he noticed a small tie-bag of gems in his back pocket. Bingo.

''Mornin' sweetheart.''

Roiben lent over the boy from behind, flashing him a wide grin as he spoke. His hand began to slip into his back pocket, grasping the leather bag.

Fai reached up and rubbed his forehead in annoyance, glancing over all all of the fruits that were laid out before him. He was planning on going out laer with his friend to the pond behind his house and wanted to bring a nice assortment of fruit with him for the small trip. However he had forgotten to ask what kind his friend usually liked so found himself in a bit of a predicament. The only thing he realyl had on his mind was the fruit, so notibly jumped a bit when he found a hulking figure suddenly appeared before him. His initial take on the man was that he was absolutely stunning, even for an elf. His eyes seemed to almost glow and his hair seemed to move even without a breeze, flowwing seemlessly around the mans face and just emphasizing the nice, slender shape it held to it.

"Ah, good morning." He spoke, hsi voice was soft and light, however it held a hint of impatience at being distracted from his current task. Before the smaller boy could say more, a light blue blurb flashed in front of him, Luna had been his companion for years. She was a fairy, not an elf, and had bonded with the young elf many years ago when he found her on the ground by a tree with a broken wing and had fixed her up. The two had been inseparable every since, and it was lucky for the young elf that this was the case. She quickly flew down and without a moment of hesitation bit down with her small mouth onto the hand that was around Fai's pouch. Then using her momentum she grabbed the pouch, not without some strain due to her small size, and flew up behind Fai, clutching it protectively. "Theif! you thief!" She yelled out, at him, her wings humming slightly because they were going so fast due to her anger.

The smaller elf looked from the bag to the other man in confusion before finally catching up to what had happened. "You know, "He began as he reached back, taking the bag from the fairy and finishing a few gems out of it and sticking them n is pockets, "It is rather sad when an elf as clearly esteemed as yourself has to go so low as to steal from children. If you wouldhave just asked I am sure I would have show you some pity and given you some gems anyway." He spoke as he tossed what was left in his small pouch over at the other man. Clearly making fun of him for what he had just not only attempted, but failed to do. "Fai! Don't give him your things he was going to steal them!" Luna Squaked, flying down to hand on his shoulder and yank his hair, slightly annoyed with him.

''Agh! Stupid fairy!'' He hissed at the odd stinging feeling he felt in his hand, snapping it back to check it out. He had small red bite marks in the area between his index finger and thumb. ''How dare you call me a theif! I was just giving this cutie a little 'good morning'~'' A grin tugged at the corners of his lips while he ran a hand through this soft locks. But, when the buy began to speak, he felt a ball of guilt form in his chest. ''I- uhm...'' He glanced back at his little possy that had now disappeared. Oh, great. He made himself look like a complete fool in front of the finest women Kalustia.

Roiben caught the pouch that was tossed to him, but he tossed it back against the boy's chest, obviously annoyed at what Fai had said. He gripped the collar of the blonde's dress shirt, lifting him up slightly. ''You are so damn lucky that you are cute, kid, or else this wouldn't have ended up well for you.'' Roi let him fall back onto his feet before trudging angrily back in the direction he came, searching for the lovely ladies.

Fai's smile dropped slightly when he heard the other man refer to him as a cutie, a look of visble annoyance flashing across his face. He was a man and was usually refered to as cute or adorable, traits that he thought should be assosiated with females, not males. However he lsot his barings slightly when he felt the other man yank him up slightly, choosing to adopt a look of boredom while looking back at the taller blonde instead of displaying the slight fear he felt. He hated fighting, it usually seemed pretty useless to him when things could be solved with words with more class and less pain. However for a moment he was afraid the other man was actually going to punch him and tried to step away quickly.

Sighing in relief when he felt himself released and all of his weight put back on his own feet. Reaching up he adjusted his shirt again, reattatching his pouch while mumbling annoyed ,"What a cocky guy. Come on Luna, we need to get going...LUNA!" He yelled as he watched his miniscule friend take off in the direction that the other man had stormed off when, clearly wanting her revenge on him. He took off after he, sliding through the crowd with ease due to his small size. When he caught up he saw her flying straight for the back of the other mans head, probably going to try and ram him. Dashing forward he reached for her but she zoomed out of the way, causing him to loose his footing and crash into the tall man from earlier. Sending them both crashing forwards into the fountain, landing iwth a loud splash. Fai groaned at his aching knee and opened his eyes which he had closed befroe impact and found that instead of face down in the fountain. He was half in it and his upper torso was laying accross the chest of the other man. Glancing up with wide eyes, because he knew it seemed liek he had jsut tackled the man into the pond. He was totally getting punched now, he cringed slightly when he heard laughter ring around from those bystanders who had seen the scene unfold and found it hilarious.

''He had to make me look like an idiot in front of those girls, eh? Oh I'll show hi--!!'' Before he could complete his second sentence, he felt a body shove him from behind, sending him into the water fountain he was walking toward. He had fallen back first, knocking the wind out of him (having another body fallen on top of his chest didn't help). He began coughing and try to push hi,self up, but this unfortunately resulted it slitting his hand on one of the slippery tiles at the bottom on the fountain. It was immensely hard for Roiben to hold back his anger at this point. ''I-'ll kill you...'' He grumbled through gritted teeth his hair hiding his sight. ''I swear to God I'll--!'' Roi flipped his hair out of his eyes, but he was cut off by scared, purple eyes looking up at his own emerald ones.

His heart flipped.

The blonde elf looked away with a gulp. ''G-get off of me.''

Fai's face faultered when he saw a look that he wasn't familar with, a look other than pure angry flash across the other mans face. His eyes widened slightly as he realized that he was still on the other man, he quickly scrambled up, pushing off the others just in order to gain his own footing and only after had was up did he realized he accidently pushed the man a bit more into the water. What a mess, this was all such a mess! Most of those watching had resumed there own buisness. The funny little fountain show was now unimportant. He reached up to push his wet hair out of his face before reaching down and extending his hand towards the other, only now noting that the strangers hand seemed to be slashed, a slow trickle of blood dripping down the others wrist from the gash. "You're bleeding? Do you need some help? I think I have some supplies by my place, in fact I am sure we do, it was seriously an accident. Would you let me patch it up as an apology?" He offered, wanting to help the other man and also wantingto get home and dry off himself. Luna had flutted down next to the long haired elf and was currently making a "That is what you get" face while shaking her hips, clearly proudo f herself.

He tried not to make eye contact with the boy, afraid that the blush on his face might deepen. Roi gasped as he was pushed down once more, the collar of his jacket now becoming wet.

The outstretched hand the smaller male thoughtfully held out for him was of course rejected by Roiben's cold aura. He tried to hold back the pain he was in, but his hand was now starting to feel numb. ''I don't need your help... I am not a child.'' He used his left hand to try pushing himself up out of the pool, but he failed miserably, falling back into the water with a splash. Now, his face was flustered with pure annoyance and embarrassment. Roiben sighed and looked down in defeat.

''Help me up.''

Fai stood back when the other rejected his hand and took a step back to give the man some room breath. Making sure to stay our of arms reach at this point in case the other stood up and threw a punch at him, he not only hated to fight but was not good at it. He was skillful in using his size and lithe figure to evade any attacks but that was the extent of his value in a fight. An apologtic smile spread over his lips as the man asked, well more of demanded his help. Stepping forward, albiet warily, he reached down and grabbed the man by his good hand and upper arm and used his weight to lean back and pull the other up, stepping back out of the fountain carefully, and pulling the other with him, only releasing his grip when he was sure the other was stable. "Come on, we can get you fixed up. I insist." He urged as the sound of hooves sounded in the distance and slowly got louder. The younger elf glancing over his shoulder and at the sight of the oncoming hoarses looked immediately guilty. There were three hoarses and three large, bulky soldiers, the largest of the three came to stop in front of Fai and looked down at him, his voice boomed, "Sir. Your father has bad it clear that if you are to leave you shall have an escort of three men or more at all times. Please return this instant." Looking rather annoyed Fai nodded slowly, glancing over at the man behind him and added, "I will come back but we need to bring..this person as well. He was injured because of me and I would like to ask William to fix him up." He added, not knowing the others name and not exactly wanting to refer to the man as his friend. The soldier closest to him nodded silently before reaching down and gracefulyl pulling Fai up onto the hoarse and immediately taking off in the direction of the palace. Another of the men reached down and none to gracefully this time, yanked up the other man clumsily and also took off behind the other. Only as they were heading out of the city did a few of the bystanders make the connection and shout The prince!!-That was the prince!- I have never seen him before! The yells echo'ed excitidly amound the citizens.

Hey looked down at the blood dripping down his finger tips and into the water bellow him. He began to feel light headed, and watching his blood flow slowly out of his wound didn't help. He was going to be sick. ''Wait a minute, your the prince? Shit... I just realized.'' When the guards had arrived, he hoped to god that they would not notice him. He was only the leader of the biggest rebellion in Kalustia, is it possible they had seen him before? If he wasn't injured, and he had the rest of his gang here, he wouldn't be shaking like a wet puppy. Roiben eyes widened as one of the guards approached the boy in front of him. Now he had to do his best to keep his head down and NOT get noticed.

''Don't touch me!'' Roiben growled as he was so rudely picked up and placed on a Horse, clutching onto the man in front of him.

Fai glanced behind him and almost laughed, the other man seemed extremely shocked and uncomfortible on the back of the hoarse. He turned back around to watch at the large palace came into view. It was surrounded by trees, there were elves and many other creatures around it. His family were known for having there wealth and flaunting it shamlessly. Fai did not exactly get along well with his parents, ever since the rebels emereged 10 years ago, he had been forbidden from going outside and they too refused to venture out. Sure that they would be killed, however only recently had they lightened there grip on him and allowed him to go out with guards, which is why no one in the villiage recognized him, because he had not been seen in 10 years. The hoarses went right up to the huge, looming front doors and slowed to a stop. Fai used leverage of the guard to climb down softly, however the elf that he had brought with him was none to gentlt set down, in fact he was all but pushed. "Sir, please stay inside unless we have a guard patrol gathered for you." With that they turned and took off back towards the town, leaving Fai and the other elf. Luna landing lightly on his shoulder and leaned against the blonde hair, eyeing the other man with annoyance. "Well, I am sorry about this. We can get your hand fixed up, and compensate you for your time and I can have someone give you an escort back home."He spoke, stepping forward and extending his hand to the man. "Sorry for the circumstances, but you can Call me Fai. Nice to meet you, what can I call you?" He inquired, his large eyes peering into the other mans, despite the fact that he knew the other probably disliked him, he was lonley. That lonliness meant that he was hoping to be able to become friends with the other elf.

I can have someone give you an escort back home.

Immediately after Fai had said this, he shook his head. ''No. No escort. Just lend me a horse or something. You probably have hundreds of them, anyway.''

He looked down at the boy's extended hand, then back up at him. ''Uhm, I am Roiben. Nice to meet you?'' He was hesitant about the hand shake, but he took it. All of this was insane. He has been holding a grudge on this kid for ten years, when he created the rebellion, but now he had seemed to be developing a little crush on him? Sure, Roiben was quite the charmer, but when he called the smaller blonde elf cute, he meant it. His fairy, however, was a huge turn off. He could only image trying to get down and dirty with Fai, before the fairy would interrupt. The thought made him chuckle.

  • 3 weeks later...

The smaller boy shook the others hand, firmly, with a gentle shake at the end to disperse it. His ears twitched slightly as Roiben chuckled, glancing around to see what the other might have found so funny. However when he did not find the humor he simply shrugged it off and turned back around, waiting a moment before a low creak sounded and the large doors began to slowly open, revealing the inside of the palace. Without a word the young prince stepped through the doors and into the large foyer room, the floor was made of a very clear, white stone, somewhat similar to marble. The entire palace was made of grey stone, however there were various accents of white and red.

The large room was somewhat empty however, furnished with only a few flowers and some overly priced paintings and a very old looking rug. Despite the somewhat empty room, it did not seem bare do to the many servants scattered around it, water plants or cleaning the floor. "Come, we will get someone to look at that hand of yours." He spoke softly, glancing over at the other and nodding with a smile before motioning to one of the servants to come over.

A young girl, looking no older than 16 quickly rushed over and gave a deep bow towards Fai and a small crusty towards Roiben. "Welcome back, my lord." She spoke, he voice high and cracking, like a boys in the midst of puberty. "Thank you Rose, my friend has cut his hand, take him to the physition and then send him to my chambers after, if I am not there then check the library." He stated, turning away from them both and heading straight down a hall way, the small fairy fluttering after him, but not without a sour glance at Roiben. Leaving Rose standing beside the tall man, a large smile on her face. "Right, then this way please, Sir." She spoke, motioning to the hallway to her right.
