It's been a long time since I've last experienced what it meant to truly have some one

placed in my heart. I live alone in this void of darkness, never has a break of light shown through this blackness that veils over me. Sometimes I wish that I could see the sun burst from the mountains that kept hidden, shiny in its full glory. But I am a fool to wish of such a thing for I have chosen to embrace the darkness. I shall walk down this path of fate until the day my legs grow weary and my feet go numb. I am the Immortal...the unloved.

Since, today, one year I have been following the Immortal's whole work. If I completely honest...I want to know what is he thinking, what an incredible living legend like him is like. I have to admit it, I am afraid of what could happen to me if step to close to him, but after all, I am just like and infiltrate in his forces...Nothing really important...The thing is...I want to know what is to be Inmortal

Night had taken over the day as I had made my way outside the walls of my domain. The moon shine beautifully as always and I relaxed. Tonight, I go for the nearby kingdom. I will, like I always had, bring chaos upon my enemies and I shall not stop until they've grove led at my feet, pleading forgiveness, then I shall burn them to ashes. I board my black stallion and my voice broke the nighttime silence," Awaken! Awaken warriors and do the nights bidding. We head for battle!"

Silence was heard again until the earth shook with such violence that could bring an entire city crumbling to the ground. Black shadows burst from the ground, their armor gleamed as the moonlight shone upon them. A war cry rung through the night as weapon rose. "Onwards my warriors!"

With that I charged forward on my stallion, an army of dark nights behind me.

The sudden shiver took me off guard. When The Immortal called his warriors I searched in my bag for an old scratch book and wrote what The Immortal had said. This book has everything I find important he did or he said since the day I started with this. After writing it, I saved it in my bag and I wore a helm of His army that I found in one of the cities he attacked nearby mine.

So, the plan was to stay in the last lines of the army but today it took me for surprise, so I ended up four lines after The Immortal...Anyways it is the first time I see him this close

Upon the horizon, I saw the city outline. Determined, I charge faster, the wind's whistling blocking out all sound. I plan to charge straight into the heart of the city then devour it with darkness. "They all shall die tonight my legion! Leave only the women and children!."

The gate approaches and I ready my weapon. With one swift moment of my blade, I take out the guards. The gates open and more soldiers dash foward. I ride past them, my warriors shall take care of them.

The streets are quiet and still. Everyone must have been in hiding. That gives me the perfect opportunity to dedinate the night bomb with out there being a single issue.

I saw Him walking into the city, so confident and even elegantly...He sure was something. I stayed close to warriors behind him, because I am not really a fighter, Yeah, I have killed some guards and even warriors of The Immortal's army but it is just when I am in critical situation...So, There was no one around, so He was just checking the perimeter... And I took the opportunity to look almost closely at Him, at least his back. He must be pretty tall...I heard the horses of the other warriors behind, So I grabbed my sword and shook my head. This was the first time I was in the first rows

I reach a giant fountain and knew that I had gotten to my destination. I hold up a hand, signaling my men to stop. " Purge this city of its men and evacuate the women and children. I shall--," something is off. I look upon my men evaluating each one until my eyes reach the one that stood out. A human is upon my ranks? I was a fool not to notice eariler!

"Step forward, mortal. I know you are there. I suggest you do not waste my time," I speak with firmness.

I was perplexed when I saw Him giving the commands, His eyes were so determinate, but, then I heard his call to a mortal...That is me of course!! and I became frightened. What should I do? I-Is he going to kill me? or maybe His warriors are going to kill me...

I stood there paralyzed, trying to calm down my nerves, but I couldn't do it, So I took a deep breath and looked up at Him

"W-What are you going to do with me?" I asked, trying to sound as serious as possible, I did not want to hear afraid, I tried to hide it my voice betrayed me anyways

I narrowed my eyes. I could sense the fear being emitted from the mortal and that was just what I needed. " Step forward mortal," I made sure that my heated gaze caught his," I have no time for this. I will slay you without hesitation if i have to."

The last phrase shocked me. I took a step towards him. I was shivering, but the best way to hide my fear was being brave. He just wants me to show myself right? He will not kill me if I do it...I hope. I took of my helmet with my shivering hands and avoided looking at The Immortal in the eyes

"Here I am..." I muttered, pressing my hands with anger and embarrassment, I tried so much not to be noticed...and now I am at the edge of death...

  • 4 weeks later...

I could sense the fear; I saw it in his eyes. I un-seethe my blade, holding out. "You have confidence, I give you that, but you have to be completely ignorant to attempt to hide yourself upon my ranks, you snake," I growled out, making sure any eye contact wasn't broken. I hold a hand up, and a solider is at my feet, holding up the night bomb to my reach..

'Snake?! I am...I am not like that!' I thought looking up immediately at Him

"W-Wait! I--" I stopped at middle of the sentence when a warrior stood up beside The Immortal.

This is it, I am dead...My legs where shivering, indeed, all my body was shivering, I was

frightened...But..."Well, I have to admit it, I am not impressed that you discovered me

but I am quite impressed that "you" , The Immortal, is recognizing my confidence..."

I said bowing lightly and with a mocking smile in my lips,"I am very grateful for that" I said. of course, I was sweating while

saying this words, I was scared to the death, but maybe convincing him that I was not afraid was an

option...

I scoff lightly," ah? Well then, oh-so-brave-snake, I shall indulge you in this little game of flattery you play and show you something to be truly impressed about," I seethe my sword and retrieve the night bomb from the warrior's awaiting hands," I will clear this city by cleansing the bare earth beneath it. Put those eyes to good use human."

I walk over to the great fountain, twisting the ends of the bomb in a certain manner. I drop the bomb into the water, watching as water splashed about. " The human," I order and my men take hold of the mortal male," come, may me watch this wretched city become devoured by darkness."

'Nice...Now His warriors are holding me...great' I thought making a mental pout to myself, but at least I am not dead, that is a great thing. When I saw Him throwing the bomb in the fountain I looked at him reluctantly "I do not need your guys here" I said pointing at them with my chin "However..." I turned my gaze to the fountain...What is that thing going do? It is not going to kill me, I know that because I am practically beside him, which is pretty exciting, but now I have to think about my life, so it will not kill me so..."What...are you planning on doing today? " I asked emphasizing in the last world

I mount my awaiting stallion, grasping the reins. I ignore the human and head out towards the city gates, my warriors with the mortal following close behind.

Once we were at a reasonable distance, I look upon the city. The sobbing of women and the cries of children fill my hearing; their endless wails are hard to release from my mind." Are you watching mortal? Let my wrath embed itself into your mind." Not soon after, a giant dome-like blackness swallowed the city whole, from the center out.

"Ah..." I exhaled looking perplexed to the, now, ruins of the city. I have watched The Immortal's work many times before...but I have never been this close. I never thought that I who somehow admires Him...would be scared. I was scared. I did not know why, maybe I never wanted to be this close?...No, of course I wanted. It is just that...

I shook my head and then turned my gaze to the Immortal's back... "I-It seems I made you angry, huh?" I muttered reluctantly

I listened to the mortal mutter. I turn to look back at him, taking in the fear I sensed." You are satisfied, or do I need demonstrate my abilities further?," again I lock my gaze with his. Not awaiting for his reply I walk past him. Then in one swift motion I was to my knees; my head was pounding and my eyes stung. My sight blurs and I attempt to blink away the irritation. I feel my self being lefted to my feet," no need to help me. I am fine," I push away from the warrior who insisted to continue," take the women and children to my kingdom. As for the snake, take him the maids. He is to work for board and food."

I stumble away.

I followed Him with my gaze, knowing that he did not need and answer for that question. I gasped when I saw Him falling onto his knees, I couldn't see his face so I did not know if He was in pain...by instinct I tried to help Him but the warriors held me tighter in order to remember me that I wasn't precisely free. When The Immortal stood up He said that The Snake, in other words, Me, was going to work with the maids. I made a low groan when I heard it...It is not the best thing that could happen but... at least I am not dead

-time skip-

The night; it was fading, and I too must fade with it. The morning would reveal me and that cannot happen. So I close close the windows of my chambers were closed, leaving only a narrow Ray of sunlight to enter. With that I fall into a slumber..

Flames are away at the world around him. The ones he once called family were eaten too. Why was he left alive? Why couldn't he die with them? He could never forget their faces which were twisted in pain;agony and regret. He couldn't save them. He can't save them. He was born to be hated; born to carry this heavy sorrow upon his shoulders; born to become the immortal King.

I awaken, sweat adorned my forehead. It was still morning. I wipe away my sweat and look up into the small hole that allowed the light to enter.

So...I spent the night in...something that seemed like a cell to be honest...There was a bed but I did not close my eyes...I was shocked...or nervous...I just couldn't sleep. And however, at any moment maybe a guard could enter I do not want to be asleep at that moment..."Ah! My bag!" I said while I was looking at the ceiling. I stood up and looked for it everywhere, the room wasn't that big so there wasn't too many places where my bag could be..."Of course it isn't here...They took it, dammit!" I shouted kicking the wall

There was a loud thumping at my door." Enter," I spoke and the door opens. "The mortal is making a ruckus down in the cells. Shall we exterminate him, my lord?," the prison keeper bowed before me. I eye the bag as it lays beside my bed. He must want it back.

I stand and throw the bag over my shoulder, making haste as I enter the cell room. I stand in front of of his cell and I unlock the door, entering." I believe this is yours, snake," I pull a chair and sit on it," Answer may questions and you may have it back."

"Huh?" I said looking at him surprised. I thought a guard would enter...not Him..."Hmm...An agreement, then?" I said sitting on the bed. I turned my gaze to Him "Well, I shouldn't answer any questions... After all...That bag is mine"

I protested pointing His shoulder "But, however..What kind of questions may those be?" I asked defiantly

"Such confidence. You have such a scornful tone, snake, I would watch how I use it. Be as it may, you 're bag will be in ashes, along with every item with it", I hold out my free hand and close my eyes, willing forth the energy that ignited within me. Warmth. I felt it in the palm of my hand so I re open my eyes to see a burning ember. Within my plam was a burning ember, and it burned so flamboyantly.

"Now, my questions will be answered. Now that wee are on the same page, who sent you? What do you mean to accomplish?"

I gasped frightened looking perplexed at the flame on the Immortal's hand. When He finally ordered me to answer I shook my head and stood straight again "W-Well...I am not playing by anyone's rules..." I explained crossing my legs and arms, trying to avoid looking at the fearful flame in His hands "That means that no one sent me, I came here by my own will" I answered, looking up at His feverish eyes. I did not plan to answer the second question, just by knowing I came here alone...He would not care why I did it...right?

i scoff. How amusing. A mortal coming to me, the Immortal King, by free will. "I mean to laugh at your seemingly endless ignorance! you're telling me that curiousity urged you to sneak upon my ranks?" the flame thst resided in my palm dies and i throw the mortal his bag.
