But, this happy side of August died down around the age of 12, when he began his years at middle school. He was constantly teased about his large glasses and the fat braces he wore on his teeth. He no longer had time to reminisce and write about his past summer, or the amazing fall hours he spent napping at his grandmothers cottage. Since his unsettling experiences in his high school, he had become the man he was today. Strong, attractive, and a brilliant nationally known author. JesterOfTheCrown
August was awoken to the rather annoying shine of the sun shining through the slits of his closed eyes. His nostrils flared at the smell of his breakfast. ''Seventeen? Are you there? He grumbled out slowly as he rolled over onto his side. The sight of the breakfast on his dresser caused him to sit up immediately. August was always very hungry when he first woke up. He used the fork to cut a piece off of the egg, and place it into his mouth. The author moaned at the taste. No. 17 was amazing at cooking, August assumed it was in his system or something. ''Thank you.'' He nodded, looking up at the cute robot in front of him with blurry eyes and a small smile. [] Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links. InkompleteWish
(( Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links. Sorry, the mention didn't pop up so I didn't you you edited your post. :/ )) No. 17 awoke to the chirping of the birds and the beeping of his inner clock. Due to the fact that he was a robot, he didn't need sleep as much as humans did. But he had to 'recharge' his batteries too so a good nights sleep was also good for his own body. It was a habit installed in him to wake up so early, to serve his master whenever he needed it. And the first task was to cook him breakfast. The people of the Devon Corporation did not install everything in his system. Though he was a natural cook according to his creation protocol, he had to learn the different recipes himself. Thankfully making breakfast was an easy feat so he was done in half an hour. His master, August Bayer, didn't like to wake up so early but it was needed so No. 17 put the breakfast on the dresser for his master to eat when he woke up. After doing so, he made his way out of the master bedroom and cleaned the utensils that he used to make the food. When he first came here, the place was rather messy. This could be a reason why his master bought him in the end. To clean and to cook. And he did as his master wanted. After a while he heard his masters sleeping voice though the slightly open door of the bedroom. After drying his hands from the dish soap and water, he walked towards the room and opened the door further. "I am here, master." he responded to the other's question and didn't move from his spot in the door. No. 17 did not know how to handle his master’s gratitude so he didn't say anything to the 'thank you'. It's been merely three week since he came here and he still didn't know how he should react around his new master. Nobody wanted to buy him after his creation, so he spend a large time of his 'life' behind glass windows. It was weird to serve someone now.
