Now a freshman at Kaijou High, Kise was the rookie of the "Generation of Miracles". Since he only started playing basketball in his second year of middle school, Kise was his team's least experienced member, and notes himself the weakest of the five. Kise's unique skill is his ability to mimic the moves and plays of other players. The only moves he cannot copy are the special skills of truly exceptional players, like the other members of the "Generation of Miracles". Beyond being a strong player in his own right, Kise respects Kuroko's abilities and wishes to play with him once again. He seems to have a slight obsession with Kuroko, believing that they were the two who got along most in middle school (though Kuroko said they didn't) and often blurting out random facts about him (mentioning that Kuroko was an Aquarius, even though Kasamatsu was talking about Midorima).

 

Also, he's a model in his free time, so girls are always mobbing him.

Kagami was in America until second year of middle school and has recently come back to Japan in his first year on senior high. He is determined to surpass "The Generation of Miracles" and become the number 1. Along with Kuroko, they're the only two freshmen allowed to play in matches. At the start of this manga, Kagami is shown to have a huge potential—good build, height, skill in basketball—but his strongest weapon is his inhuman jump. With those jumps (that gradually gets higher and higher every time he jumps), he managed to block his opponent's attacks.

 

He's really bad at studying and always get low grades even in English (even though he's a returnee!). He's unexpectedly good at cooking, since he lives alone, and he also has an enormous appetite, which is shown when he orders tons of burgers. In the past, he was attacked by a dog, and that made him afraid of dogs until now (but later on he's able to deal with Tetsu No. 2, Seirin's pet dog).

 

Even though it looks like they always disagree over things, he and Kuroko are actually on good terms, and they're called Seirin's Freshmen Duo.

 

In the second fight with Touou, when he's so hopeless in facing Aomine, Kagami enters 'the Zone', which is to be called a perfect concentration during a match that everything around you is white, you can't see or sense anything except your own match. In the next round with Yousen, he enters the Zone again, even though the Zone is very hard to enter the second time. In the Finals against Rakuzan, Kagami enters the Zone for the third time, but only in the first seconds of the game.

Aomine was the ace of Teikou's team, embracing an aggressive and liquid style, made even more powerful by Kuroko's misdirection. In fact, Aomine was once Kuroko's "Light", before Kagami. Incredibly fast and versatile, Aomine's strength lies in his unpredictability, as well as an uncanny ability to shoot from virtually any position.

 

In his second year in middle school, Aomine inspired Kise to play basketball and he became his training partner. Kise was still a complete rookie, apart from his copying ability, and Aomine was obviously stronger than him, but Aomine kept training with Kise, just because he loves basketball. He taught Kise a lot and became his mentor/idol. During that time, Aomine also became the ace of the team.

 

Though he loves basketball, he has grown sardonic and unenthusiastic toward the sport, skipping practice and even arriving late for important matches. This is due to his frustration in not being able to find an opponent capable of matching his skill, and thus making him conclude that the only one that can defeat him is he himself.

 

He and Momoi are childhood friends. Even though he doesn't show it, he's actually really fond of her, and they have a sibling-like relationship.

It was late afternoon and Kagami peers down the sidewalk noticing a certain blonde heading his way. He looked around to make sure no one else was around. This was his chance to pounce and make a move on the unsuspecting blonde male. Once he was sure that no one would get in his way, he made a dash for him. Kagami popped up beside the other. "Hello there Kise. How are you today? You're looking as lovely as ever." he said with a grin. This was his moment to win some brownie points in Kise's favor.

Kise was heading to his usual shooting place in Saturdays as he met a very familiar person. He was late but he couldn't get away from the red haired so easily. Kagami was enough to make him stressful in the morning. "Oh, hey Kagamichi!" He looked away as he continued to walked. "What are you doing here?" He asked and managed a smile. "I just...have some works to do so...see you later.." It was too risky to stay with him...alone.

Aomine just finished with his practice on his usual court and decided to visit his beloved one, Kise. Well, he was already fall for the yellow head for long time but he had some trouble because he had rival for winning Kise's heart and his rival was Kagami who was his rival on basketball too. He really hate that knowing that red head was had a same feeling for Kise too. He just walked out from the court and saw the sight that make his veins popped out from his forehead. Aomine saw Kise was followed by Kagami that make the blue head groaned. "bakagami!" he grunted and start to chased Kise and take away him from the red head.

"Oh why do you seem so cold today? I am just causally walking with you. Unless you were expecting a certain blue haired guy to show up instead of me." he asked with a smirk. Kagami remembers things like it was just the other day. He might have been the first to confess to Kise but it seemed the blonde slightly favored Aomine more than him. Even so he didn't completely ignore his feelings either. Which is why Kagami made sure to take every advantage he could get to get more of Kise's undivided attention. Just as he brought up Aomine's likeliness, he heard the voice that followed. Glaring back, he looked towards the other male. "Don't go shouting like someone knows you!" he said not backing down.

Kise wanted to ignore whatever the other wanted to tell him. He had promised himself not to talk to him or Aomine alone. He knew if the other saw them like that would probably misunderstand something and he still needed to think what can he do about the two basketball players. Yes, they were both confessed to the blond and he truly treasured them both so he couldn't just reject one and go to the other. He looked back with wide eyes as he heard Kagami said that he wanted Aomine more. He shook his head. "You too are both precious for me so.." He couldn't continue when the blue haired appeared, he looked up at him and saw them both fighting. He got between them. "Please don't fight you too..."

Aomine grunted as he heard Kagami's words that make his anger fired up more. He speed up his step and glared at the red head and fisted his hand. "what's your problem, huh? I just called people like I want.. and why the hell you followed, Kise huh?" his voice pitch up but then he stopped his act when he heard Kise pleaded him to not fight with Kagami. The bluenette glanced at the yellow head that already separated him from Kagami and sighed. "why were you could together with this person? you must call me if this bakagami come again, I'll shoo him away from you.." he said softly really different when he talked with the red head.

Kagami grit his teeth as he stared at the other. "Don't be dumb. I'm not following him. That's a stalker which if I'm not mistaken you'd fall into such category." he said before noticing Kise between them. He disliked how Aomine suddenly was playing the nice guy. It was clear he was like a panther on the prowl. Though Kagami couldn't argue since he was like a leopard ready to pounce on Kise any minute. For now he held his tongue trying to not add fuel to the fire.

Kise looked at the both males seemed to be calmed down, he let out a sigh out of relief and then glanced over Aomine who was talking. He tried to force himself a smile. He closed his eyes gently. "Don't worry! He wasn't intending to do that, he is a nice guy, just like you and I know you won't do anything strange and you think first before you do the job. Actually, I still don't have any answer. You two suddenly decided to confess and I possibly can't let one of you down so please give me more time to think of the best, okay?"

Aomine's blue orbs looked at Kise's while the other forced a fake smile and talked to him. His veins popped out as he heard Kise said that bakagami was a good guy but tried his best not to yelled out his disagreement. He sighed harshly while the yellow head told him that he couldn't decided yet who will his boyfriend and glanced at Kise. "but you must decided this soon, Kise.. don't give me too much time for waiting.. are you really couldn't decided it.." he asked with pleaded tone.

Kagami tilts his head as he wished things didn't get to this point. He eyed Aomine silently as he pleads with Kise. "I say take all the time you need. My feelings won't weaver and I can spend a lifetime waiting for you to say yes. After all it's not like I'm going to fall off the face of the earth anytime soon." he said showing just how patient he could be. Kagami glanced to the side as he wonders what the other would say to this.

[Ryouta]

Kise heard both male`s words and then looked down smiling faintly. He shook his head, closing his eyes. "Thank you Kagamichi, that`s very kind of you though Aominechi is right! I have to give you my answer soon, I don't want you to wait long for it so that you can get on with your life."

Aomine tried his best not to sneered after heard Kagami's words that somehow made him like really impatient person but failed. He gives a slight glare to red head before glanced back at Kise, smiled with a soft sigh. "yeah, whatever.. but don't pushed yourself to much on it, Kise.." he said and looked on the dark sky then directed his sight on Kise again, completely ignore Kagami. "so, what will you do now, Kise? go home?"

Kagami looked at Aomine not taking on his little glares. He was more curious about Kise. Though he knew when and where its best to capture the blonde's full attention. "Hey Kise. I'll see you later." he said before walking off. He already calculated his next plan of attack. He just needed to find someone who could easily distract Aomine. Kagami had two people in mind just wasn't sure how to go about convincing them.

Kise smiled at Kagami s he faintly waved at him then he glanced over the black skinned, took his look fast. "Actually no...I have some things to do in my shooting place and I have to go there immediately." He said with the smile smile he gave to the red haired while leaving and waved. "I gotta go, take care!" He said as he started walking but fast so that he would be there soon.

Aomine saw the red head already rushed and gone a second later but he could saw the glimpse of Kagami's face that showed about think something up. He nodded with a soft smile as Kise told him that he would went to do his model job. "okay, take care, Kise.." he waved toward the yellow head that already far from him. The blue head start to walked to his home but there's one thing that bugged his mind. He still curious about what was Kagami think. "I won't let you take my Kise, bakagami!" he mumbled as he keep walking on the sidewalk.

Kagami decided to stop at a convenient store before heading home. He had was sure about his plan but what worried him more was Aomine. If he realized what was going on it might risk him capturing Kise's heart. "If only there were two Kise's. Then we could both date one and this would be so much less difficult." he grumbled as he walked out of the store.

Kise needed something to eat since he didn't eat breakfast and he was a bit hungry too. So he stopped by the supermarket right next to the university. He didn't really want to waste any time but he knew that he would probably faint if he didn't eat anything and go for some work like that. His mind was busy with the males though, he really hoped that his thoughts finally reaches nothing so that he could reject them both since he didn't want to hurt one and go out with the other.

Aomine reached his home after had a couple of minutes of walk, he unlock his door and throw his bag at his bed then slumped on it after that. His mind still didn't clear with the though of Kagami that make a move about their match for winning Kise's love. And the blue head of course don't want to stalk the red head just because he curious like hell but then his stomach grumble, make him remind that he didn't have any food at his home. This made Aomine groaned then he take a fast shower and walk out again, hoping he could find something to eat.

Kagami walked out the store and headed down the sidewalk. He honestly wished there was a way to get Aomine to back off. He wanted Kise all to himself no matter what. Though as he walked home he started to over analyze the situation. He decides to confront Aomine one on one when he sees him. He figures to take this battle head on like if he was on the court. Kagami was not giving up unless Kise flat out rejected him. Since that didn't seem likely at the moment he planned to move forward

Kise went back home after his photo shoot. Today it turned out to be not really good since he couldn't focus completely on his job and show perfect form and expressions. He sighed as he went to the bathroom to take a shower. Even the thoughts didn't leave him when he was in the water. He started to dry himself after he finished as he went to his bed. He didn't know why but he wanted to talk to somebody so that he might choose the right decision but he knew that nobody was good enough to understand and help him.

Aomine got back to his home after had his dinner at the fast food restaurant because he couldn't find any food store again. He sighed softly and immediately went to his room, throw his body on it then groaned cause his mind full of the though about his move to win Kise from Kagami. The blue head didn't want to think what was his rival though so he start to making his own plan but none of it was good idea. He glanced at his phone on the nightstand then take it, decided to message Kise. "Kise, are you free tomorrow? If yes, meet me at the usual court at 11 o'clock.." Aomine read his message again then send it second later.

Kagami arrived home and went straight to his room. He picked up his phone and decided to call Aomine. He had to admit it was a major pain to have his rival's number in his phone. Though it came in handy at times. He hung up after a moment and sent him a message. He told him he wanted to meet up at the courts to settle this Kise situation once and for all. He made sure at add this is a man to man deal. Once he sent he decided to eat the food he purchased. Kagami felt this would work so long Aomine didn't get too full of himself.

Kise was deep in thoughts that his phone started to vibrate next to him on the pillow. He picked it up and saw the number, it was Aomine. He blinked as he opened the massage and read it. He thought about it a bit. Maybe he shouldn't to agree at the moment like this since if Kagami found out, he would probably misunderstand and then Kise wouldn't been able to forgive himself. He messaged back. 'Is there something wrong? Are you going to tell me something private, I can't Aominechi if Kagamichi isn't going to come...' He sent it to the black skinned.

The tanned skin male just had his message sent and lay down on his bed when his phone buzzed again, expecting it was Kise but his smile disappear as he saw the miscall and the message which from his rival. Yeah, he ashamed to admit about he having the red head's number, well he had it when he still didn't know the other had same feeling for Kise too. The bluenette stared his phone screen and though, he was indeed will accept the challenge from Kagami but he had doubt afraid this maybe a trap from Kagami. Then his phone buzzing again, this time from Kise that rejected his offer. "oh fine.. Maybe next time.." he sent it then groaned, annoyed with it then replied Kagami's text. "fine I'll come. When? Aomine sent it then grinned because he like the way the other's offer and he didn't feel lost from the red head at all.
