[18+] Love Me, Brother (azuneko x Rem)

[Remalade]

Tadashi laughed at his silliness as he spread the ingredients out on the blanket. He froze at Sonokuchi's words, his heart beating a bit faster at him wanting to "stay with him forever". If only he knew just how much Tadashi wanted that as well. He was sure that nothing would make him happier than being with his brother forever, but he realized with a slight frown that Sonokuchi most likely wasn't thinking of him in the same way. He turned to the other when he spoke again. What could he want to tell him that was so important? "Yes, little brother?" he asked lightly.

Sonokuchi stood up as he looked at his brother. He could already feel the words getting stuck in his throat. He was so nervous that one could easily tell by looking at him. "I have a secret that I didn't plan to ever tell you. Though after today I think I can do so without fail. Tada-nii, I am in love with you. The secret crush I spoke of before was you." he said closing his eyes. He didn't want to see how his brother would react to this.

[Remalade]

Tadashi looked at him in confusion. Why did he look like he was about to faint from nervousness? His stomach dropped as he heard Sonokuchi speak. He was in such a state of shock that he couldn't do anything but stare. He tried to think back to what he'd said earlier about his crush. Sonokuchi had been talking about him the entire time....he couldn't believe it. "Are you serious about this?" he asked softly, managing to keep his voice even. He had to know for sure that his brother wasn't just playing with him. Once he let his feelings out, he doubted that he'd be able to take them back.

All he could do was nod yes at his brother's question. He wasn't sure how things would be between them now. "Its not something that popped out on a spur of the moment. I noticed this feeling for a long time. When you started to slip away from me as you got older, I tried everything I could think of to cling to you. I wanted to make sure you didn't forget me or leave me behind." he said looking down. "Though when you kissed me, I... I just couldn't stay silent anymore. I am sorry Tada-nii." he said

[Remalade]

A small smile pulled at Tadashi's lips as he listened to his words, but the boy's head was down so he didn't see it. When Sonokuchi finished, he leaned in and pulled him into a soft kiss. When he pulled back, he looked down at him with a chuckle. "We're both idiots. Do you know how long I've been feeling the same way about you? Do you know how long I've been walking on eggshells trying to hide how I feel about you, Sono-kun?"

Sonokuchi's eyes opened as he felt his brother's lips again. He looked at the other silently. He then felt his cheeks heat up. "You sure know how to say things to make me happy. I don't know if this is reality or a dream. Either way I am too happy to try to figure it out." he said embracing Tadashi. He honestly didn't expect this kind of response. Sonokuchi was glad Tadashi hadn't rejected him in any way.

[Remalade]

Tadashi reveled in the warm embrace, still a little shocked that he was holding the other in that moment. He was so glad that he wouldn't have to keep his feelings a secret from him any more, and even more glad that Sonokuchi actually returned his feelings. He didn't think he would be able to stop smiling for the rest of the night.

Slowly stepping back, he glanced at the fireplace. "So shall we make our s'mores? I didn't mean to distract you just now." he said softly. His gaze moving about as he wonders what's going to happen between them. Sonokuchi wasn't sure what comes next after confessing. He knew normally one would start dating but they were brothers. So he didn't know if the same rules applied to them. He wanted to ask Tadashi but the moment was too perfect. He wasn't about to ruin it.

[Remalade]

Tadashi nodded and settled down on the blanket. He didn't say anything at first, simply setting up his marshmallow to be roasted over the fire. He didn't speak again until he had already began building his smores. "So you're probably wondering about what happens now...." he muttered. "Usually dating would come next, but I won't rush you into anything. We can take this as slow as you want, it's up to you." he finished, looking over at him.

Sonokuchi began roasting his marshmallow before glancing over at his brother. "Are you sure it's okay to take things slowly? You're always so busy so we barely spend time together like we are today. I just don't want you to find someone else to fill my space in your heart." he said pouting a little. He pushed his marshmallow into Tadashi's. "Now even they are connected." he said giggling a little. He was worried about so many things now that he had confessed.

[Remalade]

Tadashi couldn't help but laugh a little at Sonokuchi's words. "Someone else filling the space? You don't have to worry about that, Sono-kun. No one else could ever take your place in my heart." he assured, putting an arm around his brother. "And I'm sorry for always being so busy. I'll make things work, I promise." he added. Tadashi smiled at the marshmallows, shaking his head at his brother's silliness. "Connected just like we are."

Sonokuchi leans close to his brother with a smile. "Yeah that makes me happy to know. It wouldn't be right if you replaced me." he said as he glanced at the marshmallows. "I think they are ready now. Time for some delicious s'mores with Tada-nii." he said slowly getting himself two graham crackers and a piece of chocolate. He them placed the marshmallow on top of the chocolate. "It looks so yummy." he said before glancing to the side. He couldn't help feeling slightly flustered being close to his brother.

[Remalade]

Tadashi smiled at the other's excitement as he started to build his own. He grabbed the graham crackers and chocolate, catching Sonokuchi's glance as he was putting them together. What was up with that expression on his face? "Sono-kun, why do you look so flustered?" he asked lightly, looking at him with a teasing grin.

Tadashi smiled at the other's excitement as he started to build his own. He grabbed the graham crackers and chocolate, catching Sonokuchi's glance as he was putting them together. What was up with that expression on his face? "Sono-kun, why do you look so flustered?" he asked lightly, looking at him with a teasing grin.

Sonokuchi turned away trying to hide his face. "Stop looking this way! I can't help but feel happy I confessed. Though at the same time my heart flutters every time I get close to you. Its so much more now that you know my feelings. I don't know what to do about it." he said glancing over at Tadashi. His cheeks so flush as he slowly began to nibble at his s'mores

"Ah, my little brother is so cute." Tadashi muttered, smiling at him. "Just don't worry about it, okay?" he added, taking a bite of his snack. Sonokuchi was so sweet, and it showed in how he was worked up over something so simple. That just made Tadashi want to protect him even more.

Just as Sonokuchi was enjoying this time with his brother; suddenly his cell began to ring. He glanced around not sure where he had put it. Once he found it the person calling wasn't who he expected. It was his best friend. He wasn't sure how to respond to the other. After all this was his friend who currently tried to confess to him. He glanced over at Tadashi. "What should is do!? I don't think I can talk to him properly right now."

[Remalade]

Tadashi frowned slightly in jealousy as he realized who was calling, but managed to hide it so he wouldn't upset his brother. "Just tell him that you're busy and you'll talk to him later." he shrugged. "If you don't answer, he'll just keep calling. It will be fine." he assured with a smile. He wanted to get it over with so they could go back to enjoying their time together.

Slowly nodding his head, he answered the phone. "Hey Miyuki. What's up!?" he said trying to act normal. "Don't sound so weird. I only called to warn you we might have a pop quiz tomorrow. I know I said something odd today but don't let effect our friendship. If you want let's hang out tomorrow." Miyuki said. Sonokuchi figured he wouldn't let things change between them at least for now. "Alright I'll see you tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up." he said hanging up. He then glanced at Tadashi. "It was just school related. Now back to brotherly bonding. The s'mores were good but now what."

Tadashi felt a small sense of relief when the call ended without conflict. He didn't want his brother to be put in any kind of awkward situation, especially because of him. "I'm glad everything is alright then. How about we watch a movie? I have a few new ones in my room." he suggested. Tadashi usually didn't let Sonokuchi or anyone else into his room. He didn't do it purposely, he was just a very private person, and his room was his own personal space. But he figured that he could make an exception in this case. He helped the other clean up their little smores mess, then led him upstairs to his room. It was fairly neat, except for the jumble of textbooks and swimming medals on his desk.

Sonokuchi looked at his brother silently. He then helped clean up as he heard Tadashi say they could watch a movie. "Uh, your room... I haven't been in there since I was little." he said before following his older sibling. He took a step back after entering the room. Everything screamed Tadashi from wall to wall. Sonokuchi blushed a little as he shook his head. "I say lets watch in the living room. This room has your scent in it and I can't focus like this." he said moving into the hall. It was too much for him too soon.

[Remalade]

Tadashi stared him in confusion when he stepped back, shaking his head when he explained. "I'm sorry, Sonokuchi." he said softly. "That's fine with me." he added. Tadashi grabbed the stack of movies and led him back into the living room. "Which one do you want to watch? I have a scary movie about ghosts, a few comedies, and a really dramatic one." he offered.

Sonokuchi was silent for a moment as they headed back to the living room. His gaze drifting towards the pile of movies. "You can pick Tada-nii. I've picked the last thing we did so it's your turn." he said as he curled up on the couch. He didn't want to act weird around his brother but it was tough. Knowing that he and his brother shared he same kind of feelings for one another kept replaying in his head. He was trying not to think about it too much since it seemed Tadashi wasn't. Sonokuchi sighs softly to himself

Tadashi nodded and glanced back at the movies, pausing when he noticed his brother curling up on the couch and giving a quiet sigh. Was he alright? He worried that he had somehow upset Sonokuchi. Had he said or done something that he shouldn't have? "What's wrong, Sono-kun?" he asked softly, putting down the movies and sitting next to Sonokuchi instead. "Did I do something wrong? Talk to me." he encouraged.

"You didn't do anything wrong. At least I don't think so. I've never confessed to someone and now that I did I'm not sure what comes next. Your acting all normal about things but we just made it known we love each other more than normal brothers should. So I'm worried maybe my actually feelings didn't get across to you properly. Or there was a misunderstanding somewhere. I mean if confessing is suppose to be like in the movies or manga then should we be like hugging happily and planning dates?" he asked him. Sonokuchi was smart about a lot of things but had his clueless moments at times.

[Remalade]

"Honestly, I was thinking similarly. I want all of those things and more. I want to go on cute dates with you. I want to hold you every time you sit close to me. I want to tell you that I love you every second of the day. I want to sleep with you curled up right next to me every night. But I thought that if I said all of that too soon, I would scare you or make you uncomfortable, and that's the last thing I want. If you want me to, I won't hold back anymore." Tadashi promised, taking Sonokuchi's hand. Truthfully, his brother was the only one on his mind. The only reason he was acting "normal" was because he didn't want to come on too strong and hurt him.
