When Sora walked out of the dormitories, he was breathing heavily. The weight of his body, increasing getting lighter, but his heart getting more heavier. He needed air.

 

When he got to the front entrance of the dormitories, he looked up at the sky and sighed. Then, continued walking. He walked along side the wooded area behind the school. He shoved his hands in his sweater vest. 'That's weird, I was scared shit out of my pants, when I was here last time. Now, I don't really care.' He laughed.

 

Sigh, 'I wish I could of stayed.' Then shook his head. "No."

 

He continued walking along the wooded trail. It was getting increasing cold and he blew on his hands, rubbing it together, hoping to warm them up. But it was no use. The male stopped when he heard the leaves around him rustle. There was a shadow figure lurking at the corner of his eye. He sighed and looked over to his right.

 

"What is it that you want?" He started. Having his arms raised up in a fighting position.

 

The figure slowly receded back. "Nothing."

 

The younger male had an inkling feeling. It was someone he recognized. The feeling was nostalgic, not in a good way, but a bad. The gut feeling he had earlier, he was right. The voice sounded familiar.

 

"Is it really nothing? You seem to be taking a immense liking to me." He grinned. "So you're not dead?" Sora lightly chuckled.

 

"You will never have me." He continued.

 

The other replied. "Is that so?"

 

Before the male could blink his eye, the other sprinted at him. He was immediately on the ground. Sora couldn't help but to giggle.

 

He looked up at his assailant.

 

"So, you guys are really after me after all, because I was Tyler's lover." Memories started to flood back and he couldn't hold the immense sorrowful feelings he held inside. Tears started to flow down his face onto the dirt ground beneath him.

 

"You can do whatever you want with me, but leave Sei out of it!!!"

Sei was outside looking for Sora. Fortunately with a change of clothes, he at least knew that a blood covered man running around wasn't normal. The cold air hitting him like a slap to the face.

 

But the mutant didn't care, he needed to find the other male and make sure he's safe. Did someone come into his place and took him away? Or did the other decided to go out for a bit and got attacked then? All these questions running through the male's head wasn't helping him in his search.

 

He needs to stay positive, no matter how hard that was. It seems like as soon as he was regaining some of his humanity, just for the one he loved the most, someone took him away. Right when he was asleep, hoping that when he woke up, the other would be laying next to him. Sleeping soundly in his arms.

 

"S-ss...so..ra!" He tried to call out in a broken voice, no longer caring for the pain it caused his throat.

 

He needs the other, he's starting to really realise that now. And the fact that the guy disappeared was tearing him apart. But he couldn't remember much.

 

Why was he so important to him? Does it matter? As Sei continued to run around, looking for his love, memories were coming one piece at a time. And awkward encounter in a room and cafe. Being confessed to and confused in a lab. Angry at a guy who didn't accept them, running away and fearing scaring the younger male. A kiss that spoke volumes, which led to them being connected emotionally and physically. And a guy, smiling at him, laughing. Giving him the most loving look.

 

Sei came to a halt, breathing heavily as he started to remember. Eyes no longer obsidian, features no longer demonic. Soft features and gold eyes replacing the monstrous look.

 

A look of emotional pain on his face as he yelled, "SORA!"

 

The sound loud enough to be heard all around the campus almost.

Sora covered his eyes with his arm, he didn't want the other to see his most vulnerable state. All of a sudden, he heard his name being called off from the distance, being called in the most sorrowful way possible. He thought. 'Crap, he woke up.'

 

The younger male was surprised and yet, he was also startled. He was more terrified about the elder finding him, than the other being on top of him. He pushed the other, reversing the roles. Now Sora was looking down at the other. He leaned in, over at the other's ears. "Stay quite, I can't have him find me. And you. If you dare drag him any further into this I will kill you without hesitation. I have nothing else to lose."

 

The other proceeded to laugh. His chucking resonated throughout the wooded area. "Sora." The other started.

 

"What?!" The younger male replied.

 

"You don't seem to be scared of me anymore. I take it that you had a long and meaningful talk with him?" The other male grinned.

 

The boy started, "Well, I don't know by what you mean by meaningful. But I take that question as a reassuring thing, that you have already known about this before hand?"

 

"My, my, aren't you the clever boy that you are." The other chuckled.

 

"I take it that you are in it for the revenge?" Sora proceeded.

 

"No, I really don't care. I just have a lot of time on my hand. I go through mood swings, you see. Fortunately, enough for you I'm in a happy mood right now. I had fun playing those games with you. With him."

 

The younger male clenched on the other. "Please. Don't drag Sei into this." He pleaded.

 

The other continued laughing. "Why would I do such a thing?"

 

"Ka....." Sora continued, "What is it that you really want Kaoru?"

 

"What I want is for you to break up with him. After all he is your former lover's elder brother. Too bad that he doesn't know anything. After all his father did sell him to a research lab, before he could barely walked. Whilst, I retained my memories, being sold off at a later age."

 

Sora raised his eyebrows and leaned in the other's ear, "Then, what are you really?"

 

The other began to laugh. "What am I? Didn't Tyler tell you?"

 

The younger male shook his head. He was confused. He had his suspicions, but the boy never said anything about what he was. The male tried to recall everything that was said in the exchange, he remembered talking to Tyler about the fight, but when he tried his head started ringing uncontrollably.

 

The other pushed him over, "You can only remember what he wants you to remember." The male got back on top of Sora and whispered in his ear, "I am a vampiric mutant."

No answer, not even a sound he could hear. The male tugged at his hair. He remembers, finally remembered and yet he couldn't find Sora. As he continued searching, he couldn't help but feel this nagging feeling in his head. Like something was trying to warn him of something.

 

He had to be overreacting. It could very well be a headache for all he knew. But the feeling got stronger over time, making stumble here and there. He winced as he stopped for a second time, something catching his eye. The figure standing in the distance staring at him. Who the is that? Sora? The stranger started to slowly walk away and the urge the follow quickly grew inside of him.

 

"Hey, wait!" He called out as he jogged to try and keep up with whoever it was.

 

Where was this guy headed? Who was this guy to begin with-?

 

Sei let in a sharp intake of breath, stumbling forward and falling to his knees. What...what was that? He felt his arm, feeling a needle poking out of it. A...tranquilizer?

 

He blinked rapidly, trying to stop his vision from going dark. But with no success. He fell to the ground with a thud, figures suddenly appearing around him on either suits of lab clothes.

 

Lab....clothes? Shit. No. But...how-?

 

"We got him," one voice said. "I'm kind of surprised that number 031 survived the fire."

 

He felt something grab him, turning him onto his back as someone examined him. He tried to fight them off, but he couldn't move. "I don't know what you expected." A different voice called out. "It takes a lot to put number 031 down, let alone slow him down. It's remarkable really."

 

Damn it, he needs to escape and find Sora. To make sure he was alright and that none of them touched him. His body started to twitch, causing someone near him to jump back.

 

"Why is he moving? Shouldn't he be knocked out by know?"

 

"Like I said before, it takes a lot to put him down. Plus, it seems he has evolved over the years he's been missing. Well, presumed dead."

 

Sei tried to move again, lifting his head a little as he tried to use his voice. "Quick! Give him another dosage!" No, he needed to find his lover. He can't be taken away, he doesn't want to go back to hat hell. "S....ss..," the mutant tried to call out. But it was no use.

 

The next thing that pricked his skin felt like a stab. His eyes widening as he let out a scream. But it was short, only lasting a second before his body slumped against the ground with a thud. The serum knocking him out this time for good.

 

"Sir, that was uncalled for! What if the dosage kills him?!"

 

"Like you said, he can survive anything basically. Get him into the van."

 

With that, the a few people from the group of men picked up the unconscious male, carrying him off. Back to the cage he hated with all his heart, to being the lab rat he was born to be.

The male laid there, for what seems like hours. He couldn't utter a word, fear rushed through his very being. His body lay limp, he was petrified with fear. As he tried to gasped for air, the other made it known that he was still there waiting. Like he wanted to express more, but didn't know how. The male blinked his eyes. It was for all he knew a bad dream.

 

'Yeah that's it...I'm dreaming and I'm gonna wake up any minute now.' The male laughed, covering his mouth. While at the same time, tears flowing down his face. A part of him knew that this couldn't even possibly be true and yet, after witnessing the elder transform, all the dead bodies in the basement of the lab, the male wasn't so sure anymore. He rolled over throwing up all things liquid in his body.

 

"What's wrong Sora? Couldn't handle the honest truth?!" Kaoru balling on the ground. "I knew it, you're just a wussy! I don't know what Tyler saw in you." The other paused. "Or Sei at that."

 

The male slowly pushed himself upwards. He walked over to the closest tree and keeled over, using the tree as support. He turned around, facing the other.

 

"Stop it. I don't want to hear anymore of this crap squalling from your mouth! I don't care anymore," the male shrieked. With one arm supporting his body, he looked down and took a deep breath. Then, he slowly walked away. "No. What was I thinking? Leaving Sei all by himself. His memories aren't even back and I did such a stupid thing!" The male wailed to himself. "If I lose him again, I don't know what I would do with my life."

 

He walked for what seemed like days, the path winding and his body in excruciating pain. "Tch. I don't even remember walking down this path."

 

[30 minutes later]

When the male approached the school, "Lights?" He mumbled, "A van? What is it doing here at this hour?"

 

When the male got closer, he was at an utter lost for words. 'Lab coats? Mutants? Why were they back and why were there also people who looked like scientists standing there a wooded area?' He stood there watching them from afar. 'Are they after Sei? Me?' He gasped.

 

The male then retreated back into the woods. He hoped that they would leave so he could get to finding the elder.

 

"Shit!!" 'I forgot about them, what if they're looking for him as I wait? No!!! Shit!!!!' "What can I do all by myself?!" He stood there, unable to move.

 

[5 minutes later]

 

The next thing the younger male know, there was a gun pointing into his back.

The scientist started to work on Sei inside the van, not wanting to wait any longer. They were doing a side by side comparison of the blood sample they got in the past, and the one they got now. And what they found, was more remarkable then they expected from their most prized test subject. One of the doctors jumped out of the van to get the leader of the expedition. "Sir," she said, out of breath. "We found something, you have to come look!"

 

The man in the suit was confused, but followed anyway. Trying to figure out what was so important about what they found. Getting into the van, he looked at the male laying on the makeshift lab table. He really has grown, but the man was more surprised that the guy didn't lose his humanity at all like the others.

 

"Okay, here is what we found." The female scientist spoke up, snapping the man out of his thoughts. Sighing, he said in a bored tone, "What is it Joy?" In return, his comrade just smiled. Showing him one blood sample to her friend. "This is the blood sample we took from number 031. As you can see, it's normal. Just a few mutations here and there. Nothing major really-."

 

"Joy, get to the point." The man interrupted, folding his arms as he looked at the other with slight irritation. Joy sighed, pouting softly as she mumbled how un-cool it would be if she just got to the point right away. But she did as she was told, showing the blood sample they got just a few minutes ago. And the man had to admit, it was something he wasn't expecting.

 

"You see, sir," she started to explain. "This recent sample is way different from the last. The mutation in his blood eating away the other blood cells."

 

"So the mutation increase is killing him?" The scientist laughed, causing her leader to glare at her. Sobering up, Joy continued.

 

"No, not at all. It's changing him, more than the others. I'm guessing because his body was more adaptable to certain things. But right now, we should be careful around number 031." They both glance over at the male, who was breathing softly laying on the table. Eyebrows knitted together as he was forced to sleep, like some sort of child.

 

"Tests showed that he transformed once before, and lost a part of his humanity," the female added, looking over at her boss. "But the crazy thing is, he was renewed. Not only is number 031 becoming adaptable to everything now, he can lose his mind whenever he feels it is needed and get it back without any trouble."

 

"And," Joy added again. "He's stronger now, and his healing is faster than any of the super solders we made in the past. He's becoming a complete mutant."

 

"So how does that make him dangerous?" The man asked. "We can just kill him like the others, no real trouble."

 

"That's the thing! He'll just-"

 

They were interrupted when one of the guards opened the van door. "Sir," he started. "We caught someone sneaking around the area."

 

The leader sighed, giving Joy a look before following the other male. Who would be out so late to begin with? When he got outside, he was surprised to see what looks to be a student. "What are you doing out so late? Shouldn't you be off studying for finales?"

When the male woke up, he was in a room. A dimly lit and cold room. Almost like a patient's hospital room, but he knew this wasn't the case. He was caught by mutants and held at gunpoint. His life meant nothing to them and he knew it. He was naked and stripped down to nothing, except his boxers. ‘Where am I? A bed? No, a table?! Tch!!’ He slowly sat up to only realize that he was belted to the table. 'It's no use,' and reclined back down.

 

“I guess it couldn’t be helped. I was so stupid, thinking I could hide from mutants who has a unnatural sense of hearing and smell and I was foolish to stay, I still reek of blood. I should have gone back deeper into the woods and retreated back.” 'Like the idiot that I am, I ran off of my adrenaline and emotions.' He couldn’t help, but to laugh at his idiocy.

 

"No use." Just as soon as he snugly nestled his being back on to the table, the male remember about the elder. Whom, up until that point was unseen. ‘I just hope he’s alright? If anything happens to him, I wouldn't know how to deal with it.’

 

[1 hour later]

 

The male was confined for what seemed like hours and just as soon as he woke up, there was a figure slowly emerging from the shadows. The figure walked up to him with a grin from ear to ear.

 

"What are you doing out so late? Shouldn't you be off studying for finales?"

 

Sora immediately raised his eyebrow, 'What the hell is this guy spurring about?' He thought. 'The bastard pretty much kidnapped me and is asking the most freaking inept question!!' He smiled, whilst panicking inside. 'Calm down Sora, calm down.' He inhaled through his nose. One. Two. Three. Then paused, thinking about how he should respond. This was one thing that he have learned from his past, never open your mouth before you think. And he should be the first one to know, he almost never think before he talks and it has gotten him into life and death situations. Not today, not now. He churned.

 

Sora looked over, looking back up at the figure straight in the eyes. He titled his head, he smirked, "Don't you dare play dumb with me."

 

The male watched the other fold his arms and slowly walked up to him. Staring him down, 'Bulls eye,' he thought.

 

The figure started, "You're right. I just," and grabbed Sora by the chin, "...don't see why he's fond of you. You're just trash and you should have died a long time ago."

 

Sora was confused. "Eh?"

Back inside the van, Joy was running a few more test. Just to make sure her theory was correct. Her boss seems o know that number 031 is attached to the boy the other mutants caught. But she was sure that if the man hurt the kid, then their experiment will be more than just dangerous. She sighed heavily as she continued to look the data over. They all led to one solution, on she feared the most. The male was not only adapting, gaining control of his blood lust, but getting stronger. Learning animalistic skills that would put any world famous hunter to shame. Even the king of the jungle himself.

 

"M-mhmm..," a noise was heard from the surgical table. Causing her to jump back as she looked in astonishment as the male began to move.

 

He shouldn't be able to wake up with that much serum in his system. It was powerful enough to take down an elephant, even a whale.

 

[Dream]

 

Sei was back in that dark room. Sitting on the floor with his knees tucked against his chest. Arms folded over the top as he rested his head. There was no way out of this, they were going to take him back to the lab. He was going to be tested on again. The male curled in on himself even more. And he couldn't even find Sora, he just hopes that he was alright at least.

 

He heard footsteps again, coming towards him before stopping only two feet away. With a huff, he lifted his head to see the same shadow figure that got him captured to begin with. He growled at the stranger. "What do you wan? It's your fault that I'm here again!" The figure stayed silent, not saying a word. What was with this guy? Sei glared at him, continuing to yell. "Because of you, Sora could be hurt somewhere!! Sora could....he could be..,"

 

That fight in him slowly started to fade as he buried his face back into his folded arms. What if something bad happened to the other male? What if they got him somehow while he was being carried off to some forsaken place. He heard the stranger step closer until it was standing over him. Then, crouching in front of him. With hesitation, he looked up at the guy. Growling at him again.

 

"You need to wake up." The man said, putting his hand on Sei's shoulder. "They have him."

 

He gave the guy a puzzled look before it hit him. They got Sora. Somehow, they got him. "But...how? And what the hell does waking up going to do? I'm most likely strapped to something with enough drugs in me to put anyone in a coma."

 

The figure sighed, "If you don't wake up, he's going to run tests on him. Make him a mutant so you'll have no choice but to kill him."

 

Sei eyes widened. "How do you-?"

 

"Please, wake up. If not for me, then Sora. He needs you."

 

Before the male knew it, the dark room started to fade into a bright light. He tried to call out, but he was mute like the first time. When Sei disappeared, the figure couldn't help but let out a bittersweet laugh. "He really is my brother. Just a stubborn as me."

 

[End of Dream]

 

Sei's eyes snapped open as he quickly sat up, panting heavily as he looked around to see where he was. Well, he was right about being strapped to something. Glancing over, he saw Joy cowering in a corner. She might know where his Sora is. The mutant began to rip the needles out of his body. Along with a heart monitor. Hopping off the table, he walked over towards the woman.

 

"Where is he," he asked softly. He wasn't trying to scare her, just wanted to know where the other was.

 

"W-who?"

 

Sighing, he grabbed her. "The boy they found. Where is he?" The woman let out a fearful noise before answering. "T-the boss has him..," The boss? Oh, the old man. Dropping her, he ran out of the van. Luckily, the guards were off somewhere. probably trying to retain the other mutants.

 

Then, he was off. Running as he tried to find Sora. Eyes turning yellow to help him in his search.

 

'Please, be okay. I swear if the old man touches him-'

 

Growling, his speed increased. The very thought angered him, but he tried to keep his humanity. Last time he lost it, he scared the other male. And he was pretty sure he broke his heart when he couldn't remember.

Back in the interrogation room, the scientist unbelted Sora. They wanted to talk to him. To see what he knows and what he does not. Their hunch was to check his understanding of the other's mutation. And they were sure, that he boy held the key to unhinging the other. 'This will get real interesting,' the figure laughed in Sora's face.

 

They brought the male into a closed room. Hogged tied him and left. He could hear them in the hallway, "Now that he's awake, we really don't need him anymore. Don't kill, at least not yet. Ignore Joy's orders."

 

'Tch, they turned off the light when they left, the only light source is from the crack in the door.' The male was left to fend for himself. He was petrified. "Shit!" Sora shouted. "Why me? Always me."

 

The boy rocked his head on the ground, "Shit. Shit. Shit." Like a crazed maniac, he began to chuckle mindlessly. He looked over to the left, "Blood," he murmured. With closer inspection, he jerked back, "Pieces of flesh?" the male taking a closer look at the corner.

 

[10 minutes later]

 

There was a knock on the door, a figure in white walked up to Sora. He was unable to look up, because he was faced down and hogged tied from the back. His hands and legs were bind together. The male began to tremble uncontrollably. This was it, he knew that they were going to shot him in the head and get it over with. Thoughts flooded his mind. He was unable to utter a sound.

 

The figure knelt down, grabbed a knife from his breast pocket. Then, proceeded to cut the ropes. Sora looked over at him, unable to see his face. He was taken aback, confused, but dare not ask any questions.

 

He looked over to the side of of leg, 'He left me a change of clothes?'

 

The figure got up, and slowly walked to the door. He closed it as he exited and Sora looked over. He could hear people talking, but was unable to make out what they were saying. He began to panic, panic because he didn't know where he was or the elder's whereabouts.

 

His body jolted up when he heard a blood curling scream.

 

"TYLER!!"

Sei came to a holt when he heard a scream. Looking in the direction he heard it from. It sounded like Sora. Changing course, he ran towards the noise. There were gun shots echoing around he campus, a long with screams. What the hell was going on? It sounded like a war, or a mutant got loose. Getting closer, he started to see trails of blood. Bodies scattering the ground.

 

"Shit," he hissed, sprinting and trying not to look at the gruesome scene in front of him. What did this? The number of bodies increased as he reached a building. Stopping in front of the structure panting, he was afraid of what he would find in there.

 

But he needed to get Sora out of here. Taking a deep breath, he walked in. Only to cover his mouth at the scene in front of him. There were piles of bodies here, blood splattered everywhere. The smell hitting him with so much force he almost keeled over.

 

The very sight made him bend over to catch his breath, closing his eyes tightly. The sight made him sick, and yet the smell of blood appealed to him. Biting his lip, he continued to walk. Trying to be careful of where he stepped, he got to a metal door.

 

He tried the handle. Locked. Shit, that means one of the bodies had a key on them. He wasn't going to search the corpses, considering their limbs were everywhere. Taking a chance, he grabbed the handle again, this time, pulling as hard as he could. The sound of the hinges giving way was music to his ears. But it wouldn't break. His eyes turned yellow to a darker shade that was borderline black. The male needed to keep his sanity, but he also needs to open the door to see if Sora was inside and alive.

 

With a yell, he pulled it on last time before the door completely broke. Hanging off its hinges and leaning to the side. Sei had to bend over a breath for a minute before he continued inside the dark room. After a few seconds, he walked in with slight hesitation.

 

"Sora?" He called out, he couldn't see anything. It was pitch black inside.

 

As he moved further into the room, he heard something move behind him. Turning around, he saw a figure in the broken doorway. The shape looked familiar in a way. Wait-. "It's you..," the mutant said softly. He moved back. Not only was this guy in his dream, but he was the one that led him into a trap?

 

The mutant was confused, more than that.

 

"My name's Tyler, nice to finally meet you."

The male looked up. "No, it can't be!" He yelled. "T..." the male began to stutter. "Se.." 'Both of them here? At the same time? This has to be some kind of joke, right??'

 

The younger male gritted his teeth. "You, why are you here? You're supposed to be dead!" The male started. He was confused, at a lost for words. He slowly got up and walked towards the other.

 

"You. Why did you cut me free from the ropes?" He was at a standstill, his former lover facing his current lover. Both as equals. 'Crap!' The male didn't want a fight, but he knew a fight was in the brew.

 

Sora looking over at the other, "Tyler, please." Then at the elder, "Sei."

 

He took a long pause, looking at the both of them.

 

"Wait. You guys knows each other?!?!" He gasped. "Bu-but. 'Tyler died a long time ago and Sei doesn't know about him, at least that's not what Kaoru inferred.' Damn."

Sei looked over at Sora. He knows the guy? But how? "Sora, how do you know this guy?" He asked, giving said guy a glare while his body tensed up. Prepared for whatever the man was going to throw at them.

 

Hearing everything else the other was saying made the mutant wonder how they knew each other. Were they past friends or something? Or...something more? The very thought made him have to bite his bottom lip to keep from growling loudly.

 

"We don't," the guy, he now knows as Tyler, said in a calm tone. "But, I did lead him into the trap no to long ago when he went looking for you." This time, the male did growl. Tyler tried to get him kidnapped by the scientist? "I believe whatever Kaoru told was a twisted truth, Sora."

 

"Sora," Sei said in a rumble. "Kaoru's still alive? And you didn't think to at least tell me?" His former friend couldn't be trusted. The only thing the man cared about was anything that entertained him. Even if it meant at someone else's expense.

 

Tyler stepped closer, causing Sei to crouch down at roar at him. It was a warning, he wasn't going to fight him. He didn't want to, but if it was needed to protect the male next to him, then it didn't matter to him.

Sora watched the elder flinched as he approached the other, at the corner of his eyes. He was too caught up in the surprising plot twist, coming from the most clichest story book novel tale ever. Except, this wasn't fiction. The one that was supposed to be dead, was standing right before his eyes.

 

The male was unable to stomach the thoughts that the other was somehow still alive. "No. You're not the Tyler!! No. He. I." The male tripping over his words. "He would have never helped in the capture of us, especially me or Sei. You. It can't be." Sora shook his head furiously.

 

"No, I refuse to accept the fact that you're still alive. I held your dead body in my arms. No!" Screaming at the tops of his lungs, "No, he warned me about this. It's coming back to me. You." The male took a step back, increasing the distance between them.

 

After a few steps. Sora ended up slipping on the slime on the ground. The partly decomposed human flesh. Just the stench of it was enough to make you gag.

 

"I believe whatever Kaoru told was a twisted truth, Sora."

 

"No."

 

The male looked up when the elder started, "Sora...Kaoru's still alive? And you didn't think to at least tell me?"

 

He was surprised that the elder didn't know about it. He nodded, swallowing his saliva. "Ye-yes, Kaoru is still alive." The male gritted his teeth. "He can't die." The male proceeded.

 

The male didn't know what else to say and remained silent. He was locked up in a gaze with the elder. His heart thumping. His palms sweaty. He was happy that the other was there, able to speak.

 

"I.." Sora uttering in an animalistic tone. Before he could open his mouth again, the other chimed in, "You're right Sora."

It was hard for the mutant to understand what exactly was going. Kaoru was still alive because he can't die, and this Tyler, fake or not, had a past with his Sora. The growling in his chest increased as he tried to let the new information to sink in. "What do you mean he can't die?" Then, he quickly turned his attention to the male in front of them.

 

"And you, what the hell are you to Sora? If you're really not the guy he knew in the past, then it wouldn't matter if you're dead." The animal inside of him was clawing at the surface. Wanting to break free, to lose control and just solve all of this with pure violence. With a bloody encounter that ends with one of them dead.

 

'I need to calm down. For all i know, it really could be the guy Sora cares for.'

 

The thought that th other cares for this guy as much as he cares for Sei made something in him break. Bending to an unknown emotion. His breathing becoming heavy as he tries to regain control.

 

His eyes switching between their normal color, to gold, then obsidian, and back again.

 

The nagging feeling returning to the back of his head. The feeling adding to his growing anger and internal conflict.

 

Don't do it, not in front if Sora.

 

He blinked a few times from the voice in his head. The same voice he heard in his dream, heard come from the man's mouth in front of them right now.

It took a few minutes for things to sink in for the male. The elder. Kaoru. Tyler. Everything was mumbled and jumbled up in his head. The fear in him turned into panic.

 

"My head hurts! I don't know anymore. My mind, it's.."

 

He looked at the other like a hawk. Then, turned over to watch the elder, his movements, listening to his words. He wanted to walk out of the room and never come back. Never to be seen again.

 

His body ached from the fight, from the encounter with Kaoru and the one illusive vivid dream he had with Tyler. "Tch!" The male gritting his teeth.

 

Then, he slowly got on one knee, pulling himself up from the supine position. 'Aww?!' The male, couldn't keep things straight anymore.

"And you, what the hell are you to Sora? If you're really not the guy he knew in the past, then it wouldn't matter if you're dead."

 

He was getting nervous. The elder watching his every move. The other making it worse. 'Calm down.' He slowly raised his head, looking at the elder, after hearing those words. He could tell the elder's patience was already at its limit. The beating from inside of his heart was palpable to the touch. If he was outside, he was sure that he would be the one fogging up the windows, at the rate he was breathing.

 

The child inside of him clawed for a way out in order to run away. It was eating away at the fiber of his being. His past was catching up to him and he was trapped. Cracking under the pressure, the male didn't know what to do anymore.

 

'I need some air.' Forcing a fake smile. "Sei."

Sei was growling deeply, watching the man's every move. He didn't trust the guy, his mind a jumble of thoughts and emotions. Sora didn't tell him Kaoru was still alive, not only that but was believed what the psychopath said.

 

'I need to calm down, nothing good is going to comef from me loosing it.' Even if he thought this, the logical part of his mind was nothing but a whisper compared to the animalistic instinct.

 

And the look Tyler was giving him angered the mutant even more.

 

Without him knowing, his body start to shift. Teeth becoming jagged and sharp, claws growing from his nails. All while he was fighting with himself to calm down.

 

Sei started to get ready to lung at the man, to get rid of him, when he heard Sora call his name. Looking over he saw the smile on the other's face. And for a second, he started to calm down. But something was right with the smile, it didn't look like the one Sora would sometimes give him. It was fake, but why was he faking a smile?

 

He's scared, you need to calm down.

 

He growled at the voice, snapping his attention back to Tyler who now had a knowing look on his face. And without warning, something crashed into Sei. Knocking him down with so much force he lost consciousness for a second.

 

"You're late," sighed Tyler.

Sora was suffocating in the room, walking himself pass the elder and the other. He didn't know what to say, his heart was already in two. The elder male stood there, not moving a muscle, made it worst. Worst, because now he was betraying the other.

 

Balling up his fist, he continued walking out the room, with a walk of shame on his face. 'I just need to get outside and take a breath. I don't know how to solve this. I don't know what to say. Everything is a big shock, even to me.'

 

Right when the male was about to leave the room, he took one glimpse at Tyler, hoping that it would come back to him, but the male was wrong. It only brought him more question. "How?" The male sighed. For all he knows this could have been on of those twisted dreams he was having. 'Yeah, that's right. This isn't real, it's just a dream.' The male continued telling himself that as he walked to the fire escape.

 

Not knowing anymore, the male was now in denial. Was this real? The male took a look down the fire escape. Hand shaking beyond control. The male was sweating profusely. All of this was a train wreck. The male started walking down the fire escape.

 

In a blink of rage the male kicked the wall and starting crying. Only to eye his eyes to the sight of Andrew waiting for him at the bottom of the landing, alongside Kaoru.

Sei opened his eyes slowly, hearing growling above him. But is main focus was to find where Sora was. And what he saw, made something inside of him break. The other male was leaving, just walking away from everything. He tried to call out, to say something to stop the other, but nothing came out.

 

Sora left him. Left him hear in this dark room with Tyler and some forsaken animal on top of him he has yet to identify. "Seems Sora couldn't take it anymore," Tyler interrupted. Sounding too pleased to the mutant. But his eyes were still on the exit, just hoping that the other was coming back. That it was all a joke. It had to be. He wouldn't leave him, he said he wouldn't. But he left him when he tried to explain that he was an experiment. He left him when he couldn't speak, nor remember anything. When he needed him.

 

And he left him here.

 

The thing on top of him didn't let up, growling in his face with a foul oder. Yet Sei was having his own emotional turmoil, blocking everything else out. "He must really hate you now, but don't worry. I'll take great care of him, promise." Tyler moved to the side in surprise when the mutant that was on top of the other was suddenly flinged towards him.

 

When he looked up to see Sei, it was in complete awe. His features didn't just change, his body did as well. Looking like a demonic creature that he was. The monster he's always been. "So this was the transformation the doctors have been talking about. The danger." The male just snarled in answer.

 

"Well, show me what you got."

 

In a split second, Sei had thrown Tyler through the brick wall.

The male was surprised, being taken aback by the sudden appearance of the two. By the mere presence of his elder brother and Kaoru, sent chills down his spine. He jerked back as a natural reaction to the surprise. He slowly backed away and tripped on the metal staircase, landing on his back. His hands visibly shaken.

 

“The sight of your pathetic attempt to run away, just brings me amusement,” Andrew laughed.

 

“W-what do you want Andrew?! Ka-kaoru? Why are both of you here? You said you didn’t know my brother!!” Sora hissed at the two.

 

“You were bait.” Kaoru screamed. “Are you that stupid?!”

 

“W-what do you mean by bait?” The male stuttering over his words. “I don’t get it! Bait for what?”

 

“It’s just as it sounds, you were bait and that’s all you need to know!!” The elder brother laughing out loud.

 

The male was puzzled, he was confused. ‘What were they talking about? This doesn’t even make any sense,’ questioned the male. He didn’t know how to react. He just watched their interaction among each other.

 

“No, you’re not Andrew are you? You’re the one that led me into the woods earlier??” The male looked puzzled.

 

 

He continue moving back, trying to get back to the elder. he was afraid to turn around, afraid that they would attack from behind. After all they are mutants, the male thought. He continued watching the two, but they were too bemused by his sudden outburst. Both bursting out into laughter. “My, my aren’t you the clever one that you are.” Andrew ridiculed the other, as he slowly walked up the stairs. “Don’t run, I don’t bite. Really.”

 

The male slowly got up from his supine position and continued taking a few steps back. He was worried, ‘How did they find me? The both of them? That shape shifting mutant? Andrew? Kaoru?'

 

"I’m cornered. Tch!! I’m so f-cking stupid!! The crap that Kaoru said back in the woods...’ The male mumbling to himself. The plan was to slowly back out of the landing an run.

 

‘I’m gonna freaking die here, because I was so f-cking stupid! If I don’t do anything, I’m as good as dead and I won't ever gonna see Sei again." The male paused and looked back at Kaoru.

 

"I always question Sei’s honesty, but then again, I'm the one that is harboring the darkest secrets, that I can’t tell him! Then where is my position to judge?’’

 

The male panicked and couldn't walk straight, nonetheless walk backwards. He tripped over his shoelaces and caught himself before he fell. The male made a decision then and there, it was now or never, and took off running. “Shit, I messed up so bad!! I never seem to learn my lesson.”

 

“I was so scared that I would be discovered; still having feelings for Tyler, that I didn’t take Sei’s feelings into account! I’m just as ass.” The male cried.

 

It was all coming back to the male, “Tyler, would only let you remember what he wants you to remember!” "What did Kaoru mean by that?"

 

'I had a valid reason why I did those things. Tyler!! He said that if I was with Sei, that Kaoru would stop at no ends, trying to kill him.”

Tyler and Sei were at each other's throats, punching, biting, trying to get the other to surrender. Tyler didn't expect the other to be this strong, nor have so much stamina and bloodlust. Even though it was exhilarating, he needed to go according to plan. Sora played his part perfectly already, now all he needed was for the now insane mutant to cause mayhem as he was created to do.

 

"Come now Sei," he got up, panting heavily as the monster in front of him snarled. "Is that all you got? No wonder Sei left you. You're quite pathetic to say the least."

 

The beast roared loudly, loud enough to hurt the nearest person's eardrums from the sharp noise that enacted throughout the dark room.

 

He just needed to give the other one last push before he can really cause destruction. It wasn't just for the pleasure of it, like it was for Kaoru and his partner. But to show the world that monsters are created by equally dark people. And he was one of the many examples.

 

Once again, he was tackled to the ground. Sharp nails digging into his arms, tearing into the skin smoothly as he hissed at the pain.

 

Tyler needs to lure the other out of the dark building, into the light for all to see. With quick movements, he jabbed the mutant in the gut. Making it curl in on its self. Giving him the chance to get up and run.

 

He was sure Kaoru will be pleased to see his senpai in such beastly state. "Heh, this'll be fun." When he got outside, he was just a little surprised to see that Sora was still here. What was he still doing here exactly? Oh well, makes it all the more better when he sees the look on the younger male's face when his beloved Sei come outside.

 

"Well, hello Kaoru, Ren, Sora." He dragged out Sora's name like it was a low tune. "It seems that I have regained the old Sei back."

 

On queue, a monster stepped from out the building. Dark veins across one side of his body, eyes blacked out and nails so long that they were claws. His teeth was so sharp that they rivaled a lion's, features twisted and demonic. This was the demon the scientist made his brother, and he was going to show everyone. Including Sora.

 

"Sora, the one you saw before, was just the innocent type. Ah, such a childlike type. However, still deadly." He glanced over at Sei, who started to growl.

 

"But, not as lethal as this one. I want people to see what they did to my brother, to see the monster they made him." Tyler's hands turned into fists.

The male got back to the room, the halls were dark. Something wasn't right, was the first thing on the male's mind. It smelled like foul play to him.

 

'Something must have went down here while I was gone? The place is a mess, broken walls...doors.'

 

"I just hope that both Sei and Tyler are alright? I wouldn't even be able to forgive myself, if Sei wasn't. Grief. I don't understand this at all. The crap about mutants...vampric mutants...Tyler!"

 

Sighed.

 

The male continued trekking down the deserted hall. He walked into the first room that caught his attention. The room reeked of blood, so the male thought. He ran his finger along the moist wall. "It's really fresh blood?"

 

The male jerked back, 'Crap!'

 

Blood splatter covered the door frames and the room was a disheveled mess. "Sei?! Where are you?! I can barely see anything. Are you-"

 

'Was this all Kaoru's doing? No, it can't be. For him to be in two places at once...is that even possible,' rushed through him.

 

"Is it?"

Somehow, they were able to restrict Sei. Which took almost an hour. But luckily, Kaoru had enough tranquilizers to put him down. They started to drag the unconscious monster back into the building.

 

Tyler knew that the other will want blood, and denying him such things will make him even more feral. Just what he needed to put his plan into action.

 

Yet he couldn't help but see how Kaoru was cooing over his senpai's appearance, like it was a newborn child. But Ren wasn't as impressed. Just carrying the guy until they got to the room. Setting Sei down on the floor, they chained him up. Legs tied together as well as his arms.

 

Tyler even went as far as to put a dog muzzle on his face, knowing that those teeth of his will damage vital things. They left the room, ready to plan the next step. But he couldn't help but wonder where Sora went off to. Who knows, maybe he skipped town.

 

A few minutes later...

 

Sei slowly woke to the sound of someone yelling, growling low in his throat at the sound. Obsidian eyes looking around the room until he spot who was here.

 

Pulling at his chains.

Somehow, the male stood there frozen. He know that something had happened to the other and he knew that it was the other male's fault. 'Kaoru.'

 

He pulled his cellphone out of his pocket and shined it on the blood trial that led in the other direction. He followed it.

 

"I know that I am falling for it all over again,' the male shrugged. Yet he couldn't help, but feel like it was his fault. It was because of him that the elder ended up in this crazy facility. And even now, it was always at the back of his mind, that the elder was a mutant. An experimental one at that. The countless questions looming through his head. 'Why?' 'How?' The male went as far as trying to unpack all of this. Was it his brother's doing? What was the connection between he mutants and Andrew? Tyler? And Kaoru. Who orchestrated the attack on his beloved Sei? The male was puzzled. What about his role? Was he the key? "I don't know anymore."

 

The male caught himself at a standstill, stuck in an endless maze. "Sei?? Tyler?" Off in the distance the male could hear moaning. It startled him, but the curiosity in him made he walk up to the sound. He continued walking, not knowing what lies ahead. When he got closer, he couldn't see anything, by then his phone went out. He could barely see, but the moaning got louder. It wasn't until the male turned around to the sight of a hazy mangled body, still gasping for air. The male was stunned.

 

"Tyler?"

Sei tried to break his chains but his body was weak. He needs to destroy, to kill. Murder. His growls grew louder as his anger increased as well. Pulling at his chains as he kept hearing that voice.

 

He heard a different set of footsteps heading towards the room he was in. Glaring at the person who entered, wanting to kill him.

 

"Senpai, you look beautiful," Kaoru spoke softly. Slowly stepping closer to the mutant on the floor, who was trying even harder to break free now that the scent of fresh blood hit him. "Oh, you're hungry?" He crouched a few feet away from his elder. "I can't feed you, you won't be as dangerous if you're well kept." He smiled. Looking over Sei. "Tyler wanted to keep you for himself, to make you his beastly pet. But," his smile turned into a frowned. His fists turning white from how hard he balled them up. "I don't agree. Senpai, you only belong to me. No one else, I couldn't let that happen." He stood up as the monster tried to move closer.

 

"I have to go senpai, I need to go find Sora. Oh, but, you don't remember him. Do you?" As Kaoru said this, he walked out of the room. His elder roaring behind him, wanting to taste the sweet tang of blood. He couldn't help but chuckle. Sei is really hungry, he wondered how feral he would be when he was starving. Oh, it will be such a sight, wouldn't it? But first, to get rid of Sora once and for all.

The next time the male opened his eyes was when he realized that it has all been a trap. He knew it was trap because just before he realized it he was standing face to face with the other. He thought by now, nothing would come as shocking to him, but he was wrong. Before the male knew it the male was standing face to face with the true form of the male that was on the ground just moments before. 'Shapeshifters?' Moreover, he wasn't so surprised at the outcome thus far.

 

He bolted back, fist balling, ready to fight. Before he could make a move, there was a sudden bang down the hall. The male jolted.

 

"Sir, I've cornered Sora as you wished," said the mutant minion.

 

"Good." The male couldn't believe it, it was Kaoru, walking in without a care in the world. Of course that other wouldn't care. He was a mutant and one with vampiric attributes at that. The male coughed.

 

"What do you want now Kaoru?" Sora hissed.

 

"Well, I had to lure you back. I knew that you would go back to Sei and I couldn't allow that." The other laughed. "Between you and me. I had to make things more interesting."

 

"What do you mean by 'interesting,' Kaoru?!"

 

"It's just as it sounds. I tapped into your memories and made a carbon copy of your precious Tyler and pinned him up against your beloved Sei." The other began laughing uncontrollably.

 

"...." Sora was speechless, he didn't know what to say. 'Was it even possible? To pull snippets of one's memories and project them as reality?'

 

"Just between you and me, don't believe what you see or hear Sora because it will come back to bite you in the ass. Are you ready to die?"
