......What? What was Sora talking about? Storming out if his room? When-? Sei's eyes widened, looking at the other with an expression of panic and slight doubt. "Sora," he said softly. What...what did Kaoru do? This had to be his doing. Did...he maje him forget? All their hardships and accomplishments?

 

"What....what do you last remember? What were we doing?" His own memories were still a jumble of images and voices, but he somewhat recalls an event where Sora stormed out of his room. But, vaguely. This...can't be happening. It was awful for him to think that, in a way, it was a good thing; he doesn't know the true monster he was. He still loves him.

 

But, how was he going to explain his sharp teeth, sharp claws, and blacked out eyes? Not to mention his now twisted features? He stepped back even more, keeping more of a distance.

 

"Have you forgotten?"

The male was utterly at a lost for words. What was Sei even talking about? The male tilted his head in confusion. "Who's Kaoru?" Sora asked with a slight confused tone. "Is he your roommate?"

 

Sora smiled and continued. "I just have a massive headache. It's like a hangover, but with this cold, it's real bad!"

 

The male stopped and hunched over. Something was coming up his throat like a tidal wave. He couldn't hold it back and it was hot.

 

The male moved over to the bed and began to cough. The liquid that left his mouth was red and warm. Then he slumped over to the bed. 'Blood?'

 

"My throat hurt. It's burning." It was like a lavalamp in his throat.

 

"Sei. I don't feel so good."

Sei's thoughts were confirmed by the other; he doesn't remember anything. Not when Kaoru came, seeing him become an uncontrollable animal, nothing. Like everything just went backwards for Sora.

 

"No he's....never mind." He gently laid the younger male onto the bed. "I'll go get you some water." He was still trying to keep some distance, he wasn't wasn't back to normal.

 

The beast first cleaned up the blood, which he had to do with his nose covered. It may have came up was bile, but it was still blood. A bittersweet thing. After that torturous experience, he got a cup of water and walked back over to where Sora was. Handing him the cup and quickly hiding in the shadows.

 

"Sora, what do you remember?"

 

He needs to know so he cam understand what events happened or not. He knows that the recent ones weren't there, but what about the ones that mattered?

 

"What......what did we last do?"

Sora sat up and looked at the other. 'Why was he asking so many questions and weird ones at that?' The male thought and shrugged it off. 'Maybe having an argument about where they should live, must have taken it toll on the other?'

 

"Don't you remember? I wanted to live far away from campus and you wanted to live closer. But I have thought about it and I will compromise with you. So we can live closer together. I just don't want it to be here at this location exactly.."Then, he shakes his head. "Andrew. Andrew doesn't condone our relationship. so I wanna get away from him." The male said and smiled. "We will be alright, I guess."

 

Sora moved over to the edge of the bed and walked over to the other. "You know this is important to me. We have to find a cure for your mutation." He hugged the other. "I love you."

[2 minutes later]

 

Sora felt a slight burn around his neck. Something he doesn't quite understand. When he unlocked his arms around the elder male, his head began to spin. "Ah," jolted from his mouth. The male then grabbed a chunk of his hair. There was a ringing sensation echoing through his ears.

 

'Kill him.'

When did they ever argue about that? Something was off, his instincts going haywire as he tries to hold back the growl that was trying to escape. He was so caught up in his mind, that the hug almost made him lash out at Sora. After a few seconds of trying to calm his breathing, he hesitantly hugged the other back.

 

'Kaoru must've messed up his memories. But for what? Just to spite me? Or, is there something missing that I'm not figuring out?' Sei's thoughts were going a mile a minute. Filled with possibilities of what the vampiric mutant had planned for them. He couldn't help but nuzzle the younger male, purring ever so softly so that the other wouldn't figure out the noise.

 

Suddenly, he took in a sharp intake of breath. Hearing the other male say those words that always made his heart jump around in his chest. He tightened his hold. 'No, you don't love me anymore. You hate me, you know the real monster that I am.'

 

Sei gave Sora a concerned look. "Sora? What's wrong?" He moved closer. Something is really off now, it's taking every fiber of his being not to growl at him.

Sora was happy when the other hugged him. It was a nostalgic feeling almost, something he hadn't had in awhile and something felt weird about it. Through the hug he felt himself being riddled with pain and scars. It was like something was clawing into the fibers of his soul. When the other asked, "Sora? What's wrong?" He didn't know how to respond. 'What did he mean by what's wrong?' Nothing was wrong other than the other being a mutant and all. That would be the only thing that bothered the male. 'Hm..'

 

"What do you mean by what's wrong Sei? I am fine, nothing is wrong." The male paused, "You're acting really weird."

 

Sora walked over to the bed and sat down. His head was spinning again and he felt like vomitting. His ears were still ringing. 'Kill him,' echoed through his ears.

 

The male was confused and terrified. He tried to fight the urge to look back up at the other, but he couldn't.

"I'm acting weird?" Sei sounded outraged. But he took a deep breath, turning his back to the other to try and keep his sharp teeth in check. Nothing good can come from him losing control. Again. Not when Sora had no slue what was going on. Memories erased to a certain point. The younger boy can't remember a lot of things, he threw up blood; the mutant didn't know what to make of this. "You're the one being weird. You.....," Should he tell him? Everything that has happened to them? That they're over?

 

"Sora, there are bigger issues now." He turned on the lights, slowly turning around as he let his blacked out eyes stare at the one he loves.

 

Demonic features twisting his face, teeth so long that they peak from under his top lip. "I'm....we're not, together anymore. And, you're suppose to be dead."

 

That was as much as he was willing to say to the other.

 

Walking over towards Sora, he lifted his head to make him look at him. 'Please, realize that you really don't love me. Stop making me hope.'

The male looked at the other. ‘What is he talking about? Of course he’s acting weird. Who would act like that especially after his boyfriend just vomited up blood bile in front of him?’

 

Sora was utterly at a lost for words. ‘Does this mean, he doesn’t want me anymore?’

 

“Se. Sei, is something wrong? Am I missing something?” The male male asked. “Did you hit your head or something? Or did I fucked up?” Sora sounded like a school girl flirting. He looked at the ground, turning is attention out the door. The male obviously didn’t know what to say to calm the other down. Everything that came out of his mouth from the very beginning just made things worst.

 

‘Who was this Kaoru character?’ The male pestered his thoughts. ‘Should I even ask?’

 

But before the elder could get to him, Sora sled off the bed and walked towards the window.

 

“Sei.”

The other wasn't understanding him, and it was frustrating. Because he was tempted to just leave him this way; have him forget almost everything that has happened to them.

 

It was becoming the better option as time went by. 'I should tell him, tell him every thing that has happened to us.' But, he bit his lip. Making himself stay silent.

 

"No.....just..," the mutant walked up behind Sora. Wrapping his arms around him and resting against him. Hiding his face in the crook of the younger male's neck. This was breaking him, tearing him in two. This was unfair. Sei held back the whine that was threatening to come up as he cuddled against his love. He wanted to tell him to forget everything that he said; to pretend that everything was alright. No matter how much the events that happened in not even a few days had so much impact.

 

"Sora...i....we...," his held tightened ever so slightly. As if he was afraid that Sora was going to vanish right from his eyes.

 

"If....if i was, a 'monster', will you still love me? Never leave me?" The beast knew what he was doing ; distracting himself from the thoughts that were fighting each other in his head.

Sora accepted the soft gentle embrace of his lover. For reasons unknown to him, the male felt extremely sad from the pits of his stomach.

 

"If....if i was, a 'monster', will you still love me? Never leave me?"

 

'What is he talking about?' The male looked at the other confused. "Of course I would still love you, even if you were a 'monster.' And of course I would never leave you, no matter what." Sora was taken aback by the questions that popped up out of nowhere.

 

The male was puzzled that his lover, his best friend would doubt his love. 'I wouldn't have confessed to you if I didn't like you..' The male tighten his hug around the other whom was buried in the crook of his neck. The male's heart rate was beginning to beat at an irate pace. 'Who was this Kaoru character,' was bugging him to no ends.

'Is he cheating on me with this Kaoru?'

Hearing what Sora said, having some kind of hope, he felt even worse. He's not going to tell him, not yet. Not when everything was fine. When he was loved again.

 

Sei kept his hold on the other male. Mind empty as he listened more to his instincts. But, after a few minutes, more thoughts came. 'What if he figures it out because of my appearance?'

 

He was more than positive that he couldn't make his features human like anymore. Not when the thirst for sweet, blood plunged into him. He just bit Sora a while ago, he guessed it wasn't enough to quench his thirst. And, that scared him. The possible terrified look on the other's face that will contradict what he said.

 

'It's not like i can hide with him here. As soon as we stop hugging like this, he'll see. Should i show him now and get it over with? That way, I'm already prepared?' Breaking the embrace, his gaze was fixed on the ground. Might as well break this mini heaven that's been made for him. "Sora, i love you. So much. Can you...can you please turn around for me?" No holding back; liquid black eyes looked up at his love. Body just a little bit more than tense.

The male was worried that the other was making a big deal out of something that was no big deal at all. The male was still confused. He remained silent.

 

"Sora, i love you. So much. Can you...can you please turn around for me?"

 

Sora looked at the other who had his back turned to him. This made the male uncomfortable. 'For love..? What is he doing really? Asking me to turn around too?'

 

The male paused for a second. Then nodded. He decided to go along with the request and looked down, then, turned around. Simultaneously at the moment when he did, a sharp pain stabbed him in the side of his ribs. The pain was unbearable and rendered him instantly to the ground. It was like someone was controlling him, telling him to obey and submit. He grabbed on to the location of the pain, he didn't want to alarm the other and remained quite. It wasn't too long after that, that the pain got increasingly intense, rendering the male mute.

 

'Kill him..'

Sei was ready to show the other, even if he was 99% against it with every fiber of his being. But, it seems that faith has other plans for him. For at that moment when he looked up to meet the other's gaze, Sora was on the ground. Silent.

 

"Sora?" He rushed to the younger male's side. Worried that something was very, very wrong.

 

His thoughts racing with a lot of different possibilities. Each one being worse than the last. The other male doesn't remember a lot hat has happened, and now he was practically curled up on the ground not saying a thing. When he finds Karou, he's going to kill him. What did that man do to the one he loved? The beast was starting to panic as the seconds ticked by.

 

'....Run....,'

 

'Eh?'

The male wanted to tell the other that there was something ringing in his head and it was repeating, 'Kill him.' And he knew that something was off, but he didn't know what. All he knew for now was that his neck was throbbing with pain, his head was ringing and now there was a piercing pain at his side.

 

'Sei. He needs to get away from me.' The male silently whimpered, 'I feel an urge to execute that order.. No, please don't come any closer to me.'

 

"S-s-sei. I loo-looove you so much," managed to escape the male's mouth as he tried to retreat in his cocoon. 'This is all I know that is true.'

 

'"I said kill him now.."'

Sei was becoming more and more concerned as the other whimpered on the floor. More so when a voice in his head was telling him to run, to escape Sora somehow. 'What's going on? Is he hurt?' He only got a little closer but kept some distance. Just incase that feeling was more than right. What should he do? He wants to make sure the younger male was okay, and yet....there were so more red flags for this situation.

 

"Sora, I love you too," he said back. Voice now and calculating. "But, what's wrong? Are you hurt?"

 

Run....Now..

 

Sei tried to ignore the instinct, but he couldn't help but scoot back about half a foot.

Every inch of the male being told him that he can't, that he couldn't hurt the other. He was in love, his love and his confident. The voice in his head would not go away when the male tried conversing with it. The male thought that he was going crazy. At least at first, but when the voice began answering back to him.

 

It was then that the male realized that at that point someone entered him and without his permission, controlling him..

The mutant looked at the other male with surprise. That voice, it wasn't Sora's. He stood up, growling loudly as he created more distance between them. Standing near the entrance of the room. So it was Kaoru's doing. He wished it wasn't to this point, hell, he didn't even know the man was even capable of doing this. 'I should've ran when I had the chance to.'

 

Sei bared his sharp, jagged teeth as he backed up. He didn't want to hurt his love, not again. He couldn't bear it.

The male gripped onto his shirt. Words were escaping his mouth nonstop and the male was terrified. Terrified that the other heard his inner turmoil. "No. I will not submit to you.." Sora shouted. "I will not hurt him no matter what you command me to do," as Sora laid there trembling.

 

"You may have control a part of my brain, but I will never completely be yours." Sora broke into a cold sweat. Then the male looked back up at the other who stood there in a cautious manner.

 

"Sei, run."

He didn't want to leave, to have Sora suffer through whatever it was. It didn't seem right. But, he needs to get away. He was more than positive that Kaoru was trying to control him. 'I can't leave him like this, he needs my help.' With hesitation, he ran out the room. Trying not to look back as he bolted.

 

"Shit.....shit!!" And it seems as soon as he started to run, he couldn't stop. Speeding up instead of slowing down.

 

He can't go back.

When Sora looked back up he noticed that the elder was gone. A part of him was happy that the other took his words seriously and another part of him was sadden that the other wasn't there anymore. He felt palpitations in his heart, then he clenched onto his chest. The pain was magnified times ten. He knew that he wasn't physically alone anymore.

 

"What do you really want," the male hissed. As soon as he did so, a cloud of black smog engulfed the room. The male was petrified, something that shouldn't be happening was. It was then that memories of what happened to him slowly emerged.

 

When the male got to the bedroom, he was a ball of emotions and slumped over the adjacent wall and then he heard a soft nimbled clank. When he looked down, it was the X-Acto knife that he still had from the earlier confrontation. He bent over and picked up the shiny metal tool and took a look. The handle, the angle of the blade was perfect in every respect and the perfect tool to finish the job. Then, with his right hand, without any hesitation, he slit his throat.

 

 

'Goodbye Sei. You were the one from the very beginning.' Images as vivid as the sun's light, words riddled with thorns, and feelings rattled with pain slowly flooded the male's head.

 

"I..I took my own life..?" It didn't make sense no matter how you look at it. Every inch of his body felt heavy and he curled up in a ball and closed his eyes. The room was cold. "But how? Why am I still alive?"

When the male started to question himself and shivers went up his spine. It was eerie. Up until that point he heard a voice in his head and now there was an echo of chuckling entering room.

 

"It was me."

After a while, Sei stopped running. Breathing heavily as he over to catch his breath. Of all the things to happen, why this? No, why did any of this happen? It all started because Kaoru found him, knew where he was. Not only that, it was too much if a coincidence how they're all connected to each other in one way or another. Like the Gods' sole purpose was to make them come together in some fucked up drama that destroys them in the end. One by one.

 

He leaned against a nearby building. He was still on campus, only making it at least to the east if his place. Which, in normal standards, was quite far. And he should've collapsed from exhaustion a long time ago. Rubbing at his face, he huffed. The instinct that told him to run was quiet nw, but his caring side, the human side, was telling him tog o back. To make sure that Sora was okay. That everything was alright. And, he scolded himself for having such an oxymoron of a conscious. What if that really wasn't the one he loves? Something that was meant to hurt him? Impossible, he knows that it was the younger male.

 

That Kaoru has something to do with this. If the bite marks were of any proof of such a bold statement. Sei growled. He wants to go back, but still feared the worse? So, he was leaning against the building for a few minutes. Which felt like an eternity to him. Standing outside fighting with himself.

 

'I'm so pathetic,'

After a paused, Sora looked up towards the voice. A voice that he was all too familiar with. "Kaoru." The younger male hissed. Pulling himself slightly up and with one hand held onto his chest. The male barked, "You. I should have known. You clouded my memories and brought me back to life. What's your purpose?"

He was confused that the other male would even try something like this. It just didn't click for the male. Kaoru after all wanted Sei for himself and what was his purpose for bringing him back to life? It was like bringing a dead man back into a fight, but the problem was, the opposing side was now winning. 'So why make it any messier than it already was?'

 

It didn't take long for the other male to appear as a full apparition, in a hooded robe and fangs bared.

 

"You make me laugh. There's no fun if you died like that. I'm pretty amazed..though you are sired to me, you still disobeyed."

Sei was heading back towards his place, but with slow calculating movements. His instincts going haywire once more. He can't just leave Sora, he just didn't have it in him like the other. Yes, that was a bitter thought, however, it is a truthful one. The other male left him numerous of times, though he wasn't going to do the same. It takes a lot to kill him to be honest. Trust him, he knows too well how fast he heals from things. It was unfair to say the least, especially when he hitted an all-time low not too long ago. A few months before he met the one he loved.

 

'I can't leave him, what if something happens to him?' He can care less for his own safety. He's not going to leave him to fend for himself like that. As he walked, the wind was still for the first time in a few days. The air thick with an unknown feeling that pricked at his fight or flight part of his mind. The mutant shook himself, blacked out eyes narrowing as he snarled. If something happens to Sora because of Kaoru, he'll make sure to kill him over and over again.

 

Maybe even burn him alive. That was an excellent idea, and an even more pleasant imagery.

 

With quicker steps, Sei began to jog to his place. Might as well finish this.

The male was already on a road of destruction. What more could the other give him? Nothing. It wasn't like killing him would be a done deal. The male didn't care. He just didn't want to hurt that other. The one that truly has his heart.

 

Sighed. "What do you really want Kaoru? Now that Sei is gone, what do you really want? You already fucked up my life, what possibly can you do now? I was already dead and you brought me back!" Hissed the male.

 

"Being defiant as ever I see?" Shrugged the vampire mutant. "You brat, you're sired to me. It means I command you to kill him."

 

The mutant vampire sighed in anger when he looked at the other. 'It's hopeless,' he thought.

The beast was outside the door; so close and yet, those damn instincts of his was even louder than before. What if Sora was in trouble because if Kaoru? Hell, what if Kaoru was doing something to him right now? Of course, this was enough to make him push back his more animalistic way of thinking and walked through the doorway.

 

And immediately, he was on the defense. Growling loudly as he sensed someone else in the place. But as soon as it started, he stopped it. Prowling towards the room where he knew they were in; back hunched forward ready for an attack. He wasn't surprised to see the vampiric mutant at all.

 

"So i was right," Sei's voice was low, a rumble to it.
