Sora grabbed his bag and ran out of the lab. He didn't turn off the lights, he didn't put away the materials, he just ran. "I have to find Sei! I know what I saw, he was changing, but why? How? Was he experimenting on human DNA mutation and used himself as a subject or was I hallucinating?! I have to get to the bottom of this!! His skin was green, I know that for sure!"

 

Sora imagination went wild and came to a standstill when he got to the older male's apartment.

 

"The lights are on! He must be home!!" He gasped for air as he runs up to the door. As he grabbed the door knob, "Is is lock? No." Opening the door, "Sei. Are you here? You left so suddenly that I thought something must be wrong? Hello? Sei? Are you here? Please talk to me. I know you're here. The lights are on and there's no way you would leave them on, if you're not here. Please come out."

 

'Ehh, his place is neat and tidy, a total opposite of my place!'

 

Sora walked right on in and shut the door behind him, "Please. This isn't funny. I'm worried."

When Sei heard the other's voice, he almost fell over. He forgot to lock the door?? Quickly standing up, he closed the bathroom door. "I- I'm fine!" He called out. "Just a little tired." The male was trapped in there until Sora either left or opened the door. He knew he should've fixed the lock on the bathroom door when he had the chance.

 

The now green male started to pace the bathroom, panic taking over his logical thinking.

 

Maybe he should tell Sora. But then, what if he thought this was a joke? That he was pulling a prank on him all because of what happened with Andrew? Sei let out a loud groan of frustration, messing up his leaf like hair. No matter what he thinks this situation will would end up as, it's not good. "Maybe I should take the risk," he.mumbled to himself. "What's the worse that could happen?"

 

He looked back at the door. If he opens it now, there's no turning back.

 

"God, I hope I didn't jinx myself."

Sora gasped when the older male opened the door. "Y-you..what happened?" Asked Sora as me falls to the ground. "Is this some kind of joke?!" As he backed away.

 

"I...I'm sorry if my coming out to Andrew caused you any grief. B...But this is...isn't this, taking it a bit too far? Sei, your eyes, how did you get them that color? Are you wearing some kind of contacts? T-they look like reptilian eyes. A...and your skin, are those leaves indentations? Is this some kind of cosplay?!"

 

As he got up, "No, it can't be. Not too long ago, at the lab, your body was cold. There is no way that you could fake that," as he reaches over to Sei's face. Touching. Caressing.

When Sora started to assume that he was dressing up like this just because he was grieving, he frowned. Facial expression turning dark. Maybe he shouldn't have showed him. The younger male thinks it's a joke. Grinding his teeth together, he looked away. Staying silent through the other's yelling. His fists balled up at his sides.

 

The temptation to just walk away was great, but doing so may make the problem even worse than it already is. Sei was stuck in hid own mind when he suddenly felt something caress his cheek. Looking up, he saw Sora . Saying how he's seen hid body out cold not long ago. The male slightly leaned into the touch, sighing softly.

 

But his moment of content did not last long. "Experiment?" He mumbled. The otheractually thinks that he would do something like this on purpose?

 

"Sora," he started, moving away from the younger male's touch. "I wasn't experimenting with human and plant DNA." Sei looked down at his hands. "I....I don't know how this happened...," the male trailed off.

He looked at Sei and could tell that it was no joke. Something really did happen, he immediately looked down before their eyes met. His expression went cold. Was this the right place and right time to confront him? His body went numb. The older male looked like some sort of non-identifiable creature and it terrified him. Clenching onto his jeans, he took a step back. Quietly observing the older male's gestures, body and speech. Processing. Thinking.

 

The strain between the two became prevalent to him, when their eyes met. Sora was awestruck. Racing through his mind, 'Should I leave? Or should I stay,' crossed every fiber of his mind. 'If he didn't do this, then who did? Was it some sort of an accident due to Sei's carelessness? No, it couldn't be.'

 

He slowly approached the older male. He started, "S...Sei," then regressed backwards. "Hum. Ma-maybe...? No. Never mind." He looked down at Sei's feet and then back up to his face. "I-I'm gonna help you get back to normal. This is between me and you! As your friend, as your partner, and as your lover I'm not gonna back down when you need me." Sora reached over and kissed the other male without hesitation. "I love you, that's why."

Sei noticed how fearful the younger male became of.his appearance. Taking a step back. He balled his fists up, tension stiffening his body once again. He let Sora take in his new body without saying a word. Would the other reject him? Or leave him this way? He isn't cruel, the male thought. Shoulders hunched over from the intense stare.

 

When Sora said his name, his body jolted. But face remained neutral. Giving his attention to his friend. His lover. But when he heard never mind, he unconsciously tried to take a step back. Only stopping himself almost a second early. This is pathetic, he thought darkly to himself. Sei jerked out of his mind, however, at the other's next words. "Help me?" He mumbled, slightly dumbfounded by the younger male's change in attitude. The tension in his body slowly relaxing but not fully.

 

Hearing the word lover made his face turn a lighter shade of emerald. "L-," but he couldn't finish the sentence. His words getting cut off from soft lips pressing against his. When Sora said those three words, those words with so much meaning behind them, Sei didn't know what to do. Instinct telling him to say or do, anything really. While the logical part of his brain is on hold. "Sora..," he muttered, giving into instinct and wrapping his arms around the younger male's waist.

Aside from wanting to help the older male, Sora instincts automatically jumped on the bandwagon of wanting to know more, why did it happened? How did it happened? His body reached out for the older make, but his mind was telling him a different story. Going forward, he kissed the older male without second thought. His heart was thumping and his palms were sweaty, the rapid beating of his heart was enough to make him feel like passing out. The angst build up in his body. He was nervous, but he grabbed onto the older male without hesitation. No, he's still Sei, the one I love, the one I need, the male thought to himself.

 

When the older male accepted the kiss and allowed Sora's tongue down his throat, he knew that he had accepted him. The kiss was long and passionate. Accepting everything, flaws and all is what love was truly about, right, the male thought.
