Sora was taken aback when the elder entered the room with nothing on, but his towel. And was embarrassed. He looked on at the elder who casually walked over to him without sprouting a word or uttering a sound. The elder raised his eyebrow at Sora and says, "Sora," and a serene moment washes over him, "Ehhh..., hum I'm sorry. I really don't know what happened."

 

Slowly, he observes the elder's movements, "Ahh, I blame the lack of sleep over the fight that you had with Andrew the week before. I was a nervous wreck and when Andrew showed up at the lab...stuff like that must have taken its toll on me?"

 

"You had me worried. I didn't know what was wrong." "I'm so sorry. I really don't know what to say!! I'll make it up to you!!" He gave a sincere look back at Sei's confession and then closes his eyes.

 

The elder then touches his face and he opened his eyes when he heard Sei spoke.

Sei let out a soft sigh. Sora didn't have to feel bad about what happened a week ago. It wasn't his fault, none of it really. But Andrew on the other hand, is a different story. One that the male didn't feel like dwelling on. He leaned over and gave his lover a chaste kiss on the cheek.

 

"You don't have to make it up to me," he said, a soft undertone to his voice. He wanted the other male to know that he didn't blame him at all. And that he shouldn't have to worry about something that happened a week ago. "It's in the past now, okay?"

 

But then again, he couldn't help but think how adorable Sora was being at the moment. And he tried to hide the fact by biting the inside of his cheek. Trying to restrain from cooing at his lover.

 

Now was not the time. And Sei knows this, his lover needs to be comfort. To not feel like he's only a burden to him.

Sora took a deep breath, 'why is he being so sweet? It is my fault. What is he talking about...? It's because of me that Andrew is chastising our relationship. He doesn't condone our homosexual lifestyle," murmuring under his breath. Sora shook his head in disagreement, "No, it is my fault." Before he could process what the elder was saying he was pinned down to the bed. He really should invest all of his energy into fighting Andrew than let all of his emotions run amok with Sei. Sora grumbled, waiting for the other to make the first move. He looked straight into Sei's eyes when he covered his mouth.

 

His face turned pink and his lips curling beneath his tongue. "I won't accept this Sei! I can't take this anymore....I know Andrew had something to do with this....le-let me go!" His eyes widened as the elder male said he doesn't agree. He then leaned in for a kiss.

Sei couldn't take it, the way Sora thought it was his fault and was being stubborn about it. Why does he believe it was his fault? It was Andrew who was antagonizing them, not the younger male. When he leaned in for another kiss, it was on his lover's cheek. Then his nose, forehead, each eyelid until finally his lips. Wanting to put how he felt through the soft kisses he gave Sora. He rested his head against the other's looking into his eyes. Daring him to say it was his fault again. Sei didn't believe it was, and never will.

 

"Sora," he began. "Why do you think it's your fault? And what makes you think Andrew had anything to do with this?" It's not like the guy was that smart to make him into a mutant. He knows the male hated him, but I couldn't be to such extent that he'd tried to poison. Right? Well, he thinks so. But then, people can turn dark in just a millisecond anyway. But all this because he was dating his younger brother and refuse to accept his sexuality?

 

Possibilities started to run through his head at a fast pace.

When the elder male rested on his head against him looking straight into his eyes, he melted. "Are you trying to get me to say it's not my fault? Because it is...I was the one who got Andrew to.." He stared back at the elder.

 

"Sora. Why do you think it's your fault? And what makes you think Andrew had anything to do with this?" The other asked. "I think..it's because... I think it's Andrew, because right when I left to look for you, he was acting suspiciously weirder than normal. So, I can't help but to wonder if he..." He said with a sad look, "Hey, would you be mad if Andrew..i-if Andrew had something to do with this..?" The male sighed and got up from the bed. Hesitantly, Sora looked back at the elder, "I'm sorry, let's scratch that. I'm gonna go make breakfast." He shrugged his shoulders and gave Sei a once over before he left.

"No," he said softly. "I'm not trying to get you to say it wasn't your fault. I just wan you to understand that it isn't."

Sei couldn't help but think Sora was right. Though he did have his doubts that the younger male's brother would do something so inhumane, there is huge percentage that he did. At least 98%. And that was too high of a possibility for his liking.

 

At all of his lover's questions, his mind, which was once calm, was now bombarded with questions it's self. Doubting and wondering. At the question of if he would be mad if Andrew was behind all of this, his eyes turned completely yellow. He blinked a few times before his eyes were normal again. He sat there silently for a moment when Sora went to go make breakfast. Sei didn't know what to do, nor say. Rubbing at his face tiredly, he quickly got dressed. Well, only into a pair of sweat of pants. And headed out the room and into the living room. Plopping onto the couch with a loud huff.

Sora couldn't help but think Sei was being too understanding. He was in every way, the perfect boyfriend. This was why he was smitten from the inside out. At the sight of the elder thinking twice when he mention that Andrew could be behind this burned him on the inside. 'This is unforgivable. I could sleep with whoever I want and sure as hell I could love who I want. This is my life, I decide who I want to be with.' When he thought about it more and more, the possibility that Andrew could be involved rose increasingly higher. Now was not the time to think about this and he knows it, but...the thought of Andrew hurting the one he loves, made his blood boiled.

 

For a brief second he was a beaming ball of rage. He looked at the elder who plopped on the couch, grabbing the remote. "Hey Sei, do you want anything for breakfast specifically?" He asked with curiosity.

Sei was flipping through the channels on his T.V. Mind racing with thoughts. What if Sora was right, that Andrew was behind all of this. How would he even know how to make such a thing. The male then remembered the prick he felt before transformation happened. It really was Andrew, he really did this. But how? He snapped out of his thoughts when his lover asked him a question. He glanced over at the other male, thinking for moment. Didn't Sora say he was a bad cook? Should he even risk his place getting set on fire? After a minute of thinking over the possibilities thoroughly, he answered.

 

"Maybe some cereal," he said softly, finding the science channel and staying on it. Cereal is safe, there's no electronics involve in making it. So they're good.

"Cereal? Really? Anyone can make that. I at least want to pamper you, please let me make something. Since the last time, I've pretty much gotten better in the kitchen. Please..." He glances over at the stove and smiled. "I won't set your place on fire, I promise."

 

Sora couldn't take the fact that Sei was rejecting his cooking capabilities. Why does it matter how it turns out, what matters is the labor of love that goes in it. He smiled and grabbed a pan, 'I'm gonna make scramble eggs and toast.' "Sei, where do you keep the bread?" Sora let out a sigh, "I promise you won't get a stomach ache from this, because I'll be the first to taste test!"

 

He couldn't help but to look at the elder with endearing eyes, who's watching TV. And he tried to hide the fact that he was smitten looking at the other in his pjs. His face turned red. 'I'm acting like an idiot...we already did it and yet I'm acting like...' He mumbled under his breath.

The male was having a hard time letting the use his stove. And not expect him to blow it up. But the idea of being pampered was appealing to him. He shook his head. He's not a girl damn it. He let out a sigh of defeat, leaning back more in the couch. His body sliding down the couch more. The sweat pants riding a little lower, showing his hip bones.

 

"It's on top of the fridge," he called out. "Be careful though, I have some things up there as well." It's not like Sora was going to somehow find said things. But it was good to warn him just incase something scares him when he tries to reach for the bread. Sei ran his fingers through his messy and still damp hair. Making it even worse as he waited patiently on the couch for the other to finish cooking.

 

After watching a few minutes of T.V, he got bored. Getting up, he heads towards the kitchen. Leaning against a nearby wall as he watched his lover try and cook. The scene making his heart swell. He was far gone on the younger male, and he didn't want it to end. A dreamy look came across his face as he watch silently.

Sora looked up at the at the top of the fridge. 'Eh, he has other stuff up there as well?' He muttered. "H-hey. Never mind." He smile and thought, 'Piece of cake.' Sora reached up for the bag of bread and immediately cans felled down along with the bag of bread and landed on his foot. "Shit!" He freaked out.

 

The other looked over at him, "Ehh, it's fine. Don't worry about it! You stay put!!" His face went red. The other went over and stood next to the counter. "Sei...you're just making me more nervous. You should go back to watching TV. I'll be fine."

 

He could feel his heart thumping faster than usual and he was freaking out, 'How am I suppose to impress him, if he's watching me like a hawk?! Shi-shit!' He sighed. Then, snapped out of it and went over to the other, pushing him out of the kitchen and back towards the couch. "I promise I won't burn the kitchen."

 

Going back to the kitchen, he rolled up his sleeves and smiled, "I got this."

Sei had to keep himself from laughing at the other. It wasn't that his clumsiness was funny, just how adorable he looked panicking like that. Biting his lip, he went towards the counter. Trying to see if the food would potentially turn into a bomb of some sorts. Only to have his lover telling him to go away. The male raised an eyebrow at Sora.

 

"I'm less worried about the kitchen burning down no," he said. "And more worried about your safety." When the other was reassuring him that everything his fine, he raised his hands up in surrender. His sweat pants riding a little lower from the movement.

 

"Okay, okay I'm going." Smiling softly, he head back towards the living room. Plopping back down on the couch with a heavy sigh. He should really trust his lover, it's not like he's going to somehow hurt himself while making French toast or anything. Last time he check, eggs weren't dangerous nor can spontaneously combust.

 

'Sora'll be fine,' he thought.

When the other begin to laugh, he immediately felt stupid. His body's response to that was turning red in the face. He turned around and continued on with cooking breakfast. "Ignore this mess Sei, I'll clean it up." He sulked. Looking on at the elder who was so immersed in the news made him smile. 'This is why I love Sei, he doesn't take things seriously like I do. We're like two peas on a pod.'

 

He turns red in the face when Sei got up and showed his belly. Despite doing it earlier, it was still embarrassing to see the elder like this. 'OMG, I'm gonna screw this up.' The other got up and walked over to the kitchen.

 

The other male hovered over him, "Sei, please wait out there. I'm so embarrassed already. Don't you get it?" He looked at the elder who didn't budge, "Fine, but you're gonna help me as well," he grinned and wrapped his arms around the elder.

So maybe he didn't trust that the other wasn't going to hurt himself. It's not his fault, he was just being a worried boyfriend. Yeah, that was it. He noticed the blush on the younger male's face but didn't say anything of it. Instead he kept looking at the items he had.

 

When he was told he could say, he smiled. He wasn't going to bother Sora while he was cooking, just...mentor. Sei immediately leaned close when his lover wrapped his arms around him. Leaning over and kissing him softly before pulling back.

 

He couldn't help but feel lucky to have him. And that he had someone to stand by him, even if he went 'green' again. Which seems unlikely to him now. He's still his normal human self. Maybe I was just a temporary thing. Who knows. But he was glad it was over and done with.

 

Well, he hoped.

When the elder male kissed him, he was immediately smitten. He couldn't help but feel this way. He could remember the time when he wanted more from the elder, but was rejected. Now that they're together, he was all rosy inside and out. "Sei, thanks. I love you!"

 

"Hum, I must confess...I don't know what I'm doing. Can you show me how to...ah, I feel dumb. Gomen." He said and blushed. The elder smiled, "Sei, please. I'm already a nervous wreck and now I'm mortified that I would screw up again." He leaned in and kissed the elder on the cheek. "This feel so..lo-lovely. Ganbatte, let's do this. Here is the bag of bread. Okay, how do you turn on this toaster? Eh..."

Sei felt his heart swell even more at his lover's words. A smiled stretching across his face. "Love you too," he said, his voice having a soft tone to it. He ruffled the other's hair, chuckling softly when he said he didn't really know what he was doing. He held the bread, showing Sora how to use the toaster. Plugging it into the outlet.

 

"You just plug it in, turn the dial to the number of your choice, put the bread inside, and push that button down." He said. Smiling the whole time. They really did feel like an old married couple to him. Making breakfast together and such, it made him feel happy for better wording.

 

"Got it?"

"Yeah, I got it." He smiled. " Do you want to prepare the eggs?" He gingerly chuckled.

 

He looked at the elder who was close to him, still in his morning sweats. His heart was thumping just by looking at the elder who casually walked up to the fridge grabbing the tray of eggs. "Sei, can you make it sunny side up?"

 

Then, he looked at the elder and grabbed his waist. "I think this is cute, we're acting like a married couple. Don't you think," and kissed the elder's forehead.

He nodded his head, heading towards the fridge to grab the eggs. He didn't really have much in there. Besides the eggs, there was just a gallon of milk, juice, some vials and a lot of apples.

 

Sei shrugged, smiling softly. "Sure babe." He raised an eyebrow when his lover grabbed him around the waist. "I couldn't agree more." His face turned a little red when Sora kissed his forehead, making his heart swell even more. Leaning over, he kissed the other male's forehead in return before heading towards the stove. Setting the tray of eggs down so he can turn on the stove.

 

Getting a pan, he set it on the stove. Grabbing an egg and cracking it open onto the skillet.

The male let out a faint giggle, while putting the bread in the toaster. While grabbing the ends and nibbling them. "Sorry, I'm hungry." His mind was racing, 'I wonder what should we do when we get back to the lab? I wonder what Andrew is doing? Maybe I should head home later and have a talk with him?'

 

He looked at the other and shook his head, 'No, it's too soon...' His nerves were calming until the elder, rubbed his belly. His eyes immediately looked away, 'This is embarrassing. I'm having lewd thoughts.' He mumbled to himself and backed towards the wall, tripping over the brooms and mops.

Sei smiled over at Sora as he nibbled on the bread, shrugging his shoulders in a way that said he didn't mind at all. He turned his attention back at the stove, continuing to cook the eggs. It's been awhile since he cooked anything on the stove that wasn't potentially a bomb. So he sometimes checked the stove to make sure the fire wasn't too high. He didn't want to burn the kitchen. Again.

 

Yawning, he rubbed at his stomach. He was still a little out of it since he hasn't slept at all last night. Too busy worrying over his lover. His body perked up when he heard a crash. Looking over to see that Sora has tripped over some cleaning supplies. "You okay?" He asked, walking over to make sure the other had no injuries.

-A few days later-

 

"Say, Sei. How would you feel if I found something in your DNA that wasn't human? I don't want to scare you or anything, but I can't help but to feel like you have some sort of reptilian blood in you." He looked at the other with a vial in hand. "I know that I might be exaggerating this, but running these tests are making me extremely nervous." The elder nodded and didn't utter a word. He stuck a needle in the other's arm and drew more blood for for another vial.

 

Looking at the floor, 'Eh, getting four vials for a different tests are making me scared...if I could remember correctly, Andrew left in a hast when Sei was on the ground. I can't help but to wonder if Andrew was trying to poison Sei.'

 

He stared at the elder, the tension was thick enough to cut, they were about to go round and round, he couldn't help but to get nervous and his mind was racing. Every possible worst case scenario raced through his head, thoughts about how the testing would go, petrified him, 'What would he find from these tests.' He closed his eyes when the other opened his mouth and said.

Sei thought for a moment. Reptilian blood? It would make sense since he did have glowing yellow eyes. But where would that come from? It's not like he had that kind of blood laying around. Acid, on the other hand, is a different story. He let the other male stick a needle inside his arm, staying silent the whole time. When Sora was done, he rolled his sleeve back down. Deep in thought.

 

He looked over at his lover, seeing how he was quiet as well. The tension in the air feeling heavy. What should he say? Maybe give him some reassurance? "Sora," he started. "I'm sure whatever I find is not going to be bad." But, he wasn't sure himself. The chance of him finding something bad in the blood samples were high. There can be so many things wrong with it.

 

He reached over and ruffled Sora's hair. Trying to make him feel better in some way. Sei hoped that it was working, since he wasn't so positive himself with the tests.

Sora looked at the other and listened, "Reptilian blood?" He didn't react, he looked at the other and withdrew more blood. When he was done, he caressed the other and smiled, "Ignore my idiotic rants. I don't want to scare you."

 

When the other reassured him and said that everything would be fine, he was assured for a brief second, 'Bu-but...' he shook his head and faked a smile. "Yeah, you're right, I'm just probably taking it too far. I'm sorry." He knew that there was no chance that he was wrong, because he knew that from that night Sei's body was cold as ice, when he saw the other in his apartment he was green with yellow orbs eyes, and he knew that there's was no way that there isn't something going on with his beloved. His palms started sweating profusely. 'I might be wrong, but chances are I'm not. I just hope that I am wrong about this.' He walked over the counter and dabbed a cotton swab and sprayed it with luminol. He smiled and then took two syringes and syringed a syringeful of blood and deposited in agar. 'Maybe, I should also run a test to see if there is any foreign chemicals in his blood, while I'm at this?'

Sei smiled, ruffling the other's hair. But he was deep in thought. Why would the other think there was reptilian blood in his system? Then again, he did do a lot of 'experiments' when he was younger. To the point that he doesn't remember them all. He hoped that Sora wouldn't find out, or try to figure out why he did those experiments.

 

It wasn't really his choice. He made him panic a little. He didn't want his lover to find out about it, not like this. Did the potion that was forced into his system caused him to transform with his already mutated blood? The chance of that happening was a little low, but there was a chance nonetheless. And that fact scared him. Sei stared off into space, deep in thought and worry. 'What am I going to do when he finds out?' He ran his fingers through his hair, sighing heavily. 'What am I going to say when he finds out? God this is frustrating!' He glanced over at Sora. confused on what to do. He shouldn't worry about this now. Right now, he just wants to relax.

 

The male didn't even want to worry about if Andrew was the one who tried to poison him. But, if he did happen to see him, he was, of course , taking the chance to hit him in the face.

 

He didn't like him, and the feeling was definitely mutual.

Sora stopped for a moment, looking over at the lab equipment. He was flustered, his heart was racing and for a second he also dropped a vial. Having the other watching his every move, made him a nervous wreck. He recalled the other looking into those yellow orbs and today, he was back to his normal self, like nothing had happened. Looking over at his lover, he smiled and assured the other that the tests showed a positive sign. Sora moved over to the heating unit and looked at the agar, taking out the first tray. 'It really does look like there is nothing wring with this one, it's definitely human DNA and nothing else, but I wonder...'

 

He walked over to the elder and ruffled his hair, "Good news, it looks like the agar test turned out negative." He let the other male soak in the news, "But we still have 3 more tests." He smiled and then walked to the other side of the lab. "Hey Sei, you really don't have to stay. You can go home and rest. I'll be fine by myself."
