~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
A soft light. Faintly glowing. A tear falls, shimmering gently. A song plays, never ending. The world goes on... But the memories remain. Broken, torn, shattered to pieces. A heart that never seems to heal. A soul that wanders aimlessly through the night. And a voice that calls, hoping for help that always seems to be just beyond their outstretched hands, barely brushing against their fingertips, evading them, forever beyond their reach. Pain from the broken heart that beats within, crying for that one love that never was fulfilled. It always ended in good bye. Sometimes people can't see the pain that others go through. Other times they see it but they ignore that pain. But some few actually stop to see if they can help. Why can't all be like that few? Why can't they help? It's just in the nature of humans most say...they think of themselves, not really thinking of the fare of others, not wanting to be bothered by those around them, not wanting to be brought down by another person's pain or sadness. A young person, not all that they seem to appear to be, watches as this world goes by, their eyes filled with sadness for the corruption and uncaring that has seemed to eat it alive. A bringer of hope, of love...but they too are filled with pain. They long for love, for another to hold them. As their last never seemed to want to be near them...they were different, thee weren't human. Another person, not too different from those around them, but is different in every way possible, stands alone, seeing but at the same time not seeing. They have pain, they have fears... The person calls out to them, but will they hear them? Or will the tears continue to fall like rain? RP Theme Song: Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links. ~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
It was snowing, the air was cold. Storm stood out in the snow, in the middle of a park that was set near the center of the city that he called home. With each falling white flake of snow that hit him, his appearance began to change. His hair changed from a dark grey white, to a pure snow white, his eyes became a silvery ice blue, and his clothing, a black coat with white fur, pure white, as well as the black pants that he wore. It didn't change instantly, but a gradual change, each spot that the snow touched, the color would change. He appeared as if he didn't even notice the snow that fell around him, oblivious to the people who were scrambling to get home out of the cold. It hadn't been snowing earlier, it only just started a little while ago. he didn't see why it was such a big deal, the snow was beautiful. Snow was cold yes, but it made the world seem pure. It cleared the air, making it fresh and new. But he didn't look past the damage that snow could bring, storms that brought ruin and destruction. But that was the fact of snow, it was a part of nature, and nature was a beautiful and dangerous thing. It was his very being, the snow. Walking over to the fountain, each step he took in the snow, the spot where he had stepped glowed with a faint white light, before fading over. The fountain, which had frozen over, he reaches out with his hands, touching the frozen water with the tips of his fingers. He smiles, and then turns around, spinning in a circle, before doing the most amazing thing. He reaches out with his hands, and touches the snowflakes as they fell past, and music could be heard, like crystalline bells. Each snowflake that he touched glowed a different color, before falling to the ground. He smiles, touching snowflake after snowflake, the music filling the air around him. He was oblivious to any around him, he was entranced in the music he was creating. Music:
BlaqueCatt
The snow, despite being nothing more than soft, delicate flurries, was enough to make Amen-ra's face contort into a displeased scowl. He stood with his hands in the pockets of his heavy winter coat, leaning back against a light post with his head safely tucked within a black, fur-trimmed hood. His piercing golden eyes studied the white flakes as they swirled in the icy wind, and he involuntarily shivered against the cold. I hate the weather here, he mentally complained, his gaze full of utter contempt as the snow continued to fall. Why can't it be warmer? He was accustomed to the deserts of Egypt, not winters of ice and snow. Of course, desert nights could reach temperatures below freezing, but that was completely different from the sticky white precipitation that refused to come off of clothing and the slick ice that often caught him off-guard. The young man huffed, his eyes narrowing at the foggy breath that rose in front of his face. "How much longer do I have to wait out here?" he mumbled, his thick accent warping the pronunciation of the words. He lifted his head to search for the sun, as he had no watch, and ended up in a coughing fit when the wind blew a gust of snow-filled air right into his mouth. It's mocking me! he exclaimed to himself in shock. A burst of red-hot anger shot through him, and he was tempted to unleash his flames upon the unsuspecting snow. But that would cause a scene, and he needed to look like nothing more than a regular human. Speaking of humans, he grumbled, where the hell is he? The Egyptian had taken up less than honorable activities since leaving Egypt, as his abilities and the nature of his species leaned more towards such things, and he was waiting for one of his clients to show up. Amen-ra let out an annoyed groan and pushed himself off of the post, shaking his head as he turned around. However, he froze when a array of unnatural lights caught his attention. That should not be happening, he thought as he watched a man play the snow as an instrument, the music and colors invisible to the mortal eye. ~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
While he was creating his music, he sense that someone was watching him, and once he had finished, he turns towards where felt eyes staring right at him. And sure enough, someone was there. He didn't look like he was from around that area, in fact, he looked quite foreign. He blinks in surprise, wondering if the man could see what he had been doing. If that was the fact...then he wasn't human. For a moment he just stares right back at the other man, looking straight into the male's golden eyes, his own now ice blue ones filled with a certain curiosity. Then, almost as quickly the stare-off had begun, it ended, with Storm looking away, and turning around, disappearing into the flurries that had gotten thicker, vanishing from sight. He was almost certain that the man had been watching him, had seen what he'd been doing. But who was he? Storm had never seen that man before in his entire life, in his entire time being in that certain snow filled city. But then again, he was sure that he'd seen someone similar around town. He shakes his head, sighing softly to himself. If that man wanted to, he was sure that he'd be able to find Snow quite easily. He sensed that the man was quite smart, intelligent in fact. No doubt about it. In fact...he wanted the man to find him...to see if he was different. After a while, he arrives at his home, a two story old fashioned Victorian house. It even had a fancy fence, with a gate. He unlocks the door, and goes inside, taking off his coat, and placing it on the coat rack placed by the doorway, placing his shoes there as well. The snow slowly fades away, and his appearance returns to normal. Grey white hair returns, and his eyes go back to their golden yellow and black, his pants black again. He wore a black shirt with a white swirl design on it. Heading towards the living room, he sits on the couch, leaning his head back on the couch, and sighs softly, closing his eyes, and drifting to sleep. BlaqueCatt
When the two creatures' eyes met, ice blue against molten gold, a crooked grin spread across Amen-ra's tanned face. Even though the contact had been brief, it had been enough to reassure him that, without a doubt, the one he had been watching was anything but human. The Egyptian let out a chuckle when Storm vanished from his line of vision, covering his mouth with his hand to prevent himself from collapsing into a fit of giggles. This was the most exciting thing that had happened to him since he left his birthplace. What could he be? he mused to himself, lowering his hand from his face to return it to his warm pocket. He was drawn from his thoughts by the sound of someone shouting. "Sorry I'm late!" Amen-ra turned to face a skinny red-headed man with an array of freckles decorating his face who was running towards him. The creature's grin faded into a blank face, and as soon as the human stopped in front of him, he started to walk away. "H-hey!" the man demanded in a confused and flustered tone, slowly becoming angry, "Where are you going?" Amen-ra pulled his hood down, revealing wild black hair that quickly became bathed in white dust. There was a fire inside of him, and the old was no longer such a bother. He raised his hand in a mock good-bye wave, the smirk returning as he did so. "I have no time for you! There are more important things that need taking care of..." He was going to find that man--that creature--and have a bit of fun.
~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
After a short nap, that was much needed, Storm wakens, stirring quietly from his slumber. His eyes open slowly, and at first the room before him had a blurred appearance, but soon it tuned out, so that lines were clearer, and objects less fuzzy. Yawning, he stands up from the couch he had been resting on, stretching his arms above his head, and moves across the room, his sock-covered feet quiet on the fancy hardwood floor, barely a sound coming from his movements. He makes his way over to the winding staircase that led to the second floor of the house, which contained his bedroom, the bathroom connected to his room, a study/library of sorts, two guest rooms and bathrooms, and a storage room. He goes to his room, closing the door behind him, sighing softly to himself. His room was done all in whites, with snow designs and silver everywhere, making one think that they'd walked into a winter wonderland. Walking across the room towards a wardrobe with his clothing inside. He opens the doors, wanting to change into something a little more comfortable, choosing a plain black long sleeved shirt, and a pair of lounge pants. He walks over to his bed, placing the clothing he had chosen onto the bed, and proceeds in taking the clothing he was already wearing off. The moment he takes off his shirt, a faint chill runs down his spine, before two magnificent white wings spread out from spots just beneath his shoulder blades. Though they looked similar to a regular angel's wings, they were not, They looked liked they were made of snow and some sort of crystal. The feathers were soft, and slightly cold to the touch, but not unbearably so. He glances at his reflection in the mirror that was hanging on the wall, frowning to himself. Once again he sighs, pulling his pants on, and then moved to pull his shirt on, when he felt something coming. He frowns again, moving to the window, and glances outside, wondering who it was. BlaqueCatt
"Fuck what I thought earlier," Amen-ra muttered to himself through chattering teeth. "Cold weather sucks." The man had felt such a thrill from the prospect of meeting a new creature that the biting wind and wet, messy snow had been pushed to the back of his mind. But now, after having calmed himself and walking through the freezing city for at least twenty minutes, he was tired and extremely pissed off. That weird guy was playing with the snow, right? I wouldn't put it past him that he brought the snow! When he was irritated, uncomfortable, embarrassed, or any other akin emotion, he always looked for someone to blame for his predicament. The Egyptian huffed, causing snow to fly up from the ground and go right into his nose, again. This would not have been possible had he been his usual height. Now, though, he no longer looked human. To better track the other creature, Amen-ra had reverted back to his original form, an abnormally large, golden-furred lion with a bronze mane. His huge paws held long, sharp claws, and his mouth was lined with needle-like fangs. The strangest thing about him, though--the thing that set him apart from a normal lion--was the human face and the magnificent wings that stemmed from his shoulder blades, the color of the desert sand. In this form, he could easily track the being that had caught his attention. He stopped suddenly, nose twitching. He lifted his head and focused his golden eyes on a house to his left. There was brief movement by the window, and he smirked again. Found you. The Sphinx, hidden from humans, ascended the stairs of the walkway as if he lived there before nudging the door open with inhuman strength, and the lock snapped. Oops. Oh well. ~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
Sure enough, as he stared out the window, movement caught his eye. A strange figure stood outside his house, looking like a lion, with wings. And the face, that looked up at him, was that of the man earlier. "He found me..." He mutters, closing the window's curtains, and goes over to the bedroom door, just as he hears the front door open, the lock breaking. He felt his heart beat quicken, and his breathing becomes fast paced. 'What is he doing??' Storm thinks to himself, slowly opening the door to his room, and padding quietly to the top of the stair case, still shirtless, his wings pressed against his back. Looking down the stairs, he looks right at the intruder, locking eyes with the man. He slowly walks down the steps, being cautious. No doubt there was some reason why the man had appeared, right? "You can change back now..." He says, stopping on the third to the bottom step of the stair case. "What do you want? Why are you here? You know, all you had to do was ring or knock the door, and I would have opened it... You didn't have to break my door..." All the while he was talking, he looked over the man, trying to figure out where he'd seen such a creature before. Then it dawns on him. The man in front of him was a Sphinx, most common in the region of Egypt. So what was a creature like that, one who was more suited to warm, sunny temperatures, doing at a place like this? There had to be some sort of explanation. And Storm was determined to find out just what it was.
BlaqueCatt
Storm's sudden appearance startled the Sphinx, and he stared up at the angel with slightly widened golden eyes. However, his expression quickly morphed into one of sly playfulness, and his long, forked tongue swiped across his razor-sharp teeth as if he were anticipating a meal. I wonder if I freak him out, he thought, the idea making him feel giddy; he always loved seeing the different effects he had on people. Wordlessly, the lion reared onto his hind legs. Wind began to blow despite the fact that they were inside, and soon a mixture of wind and sand were blowing around the Egyptian. After a dull flash of gold, he was a man again. "Yo," he said with a mock salute-like gesture, putting two fingers to his forehead before moving them away. The American word sounded strange due to his accent, and his crooked grin revealed pearly white teeth. He no longer wore his protective outerwear. Instead, he was dressed in baggy black pants, a black tanktop that exposed part of his waist, and black slipper-like shoes. His ears were pierced with multiple golden earrings, including both small and large hoops, and there was a small golden ball piercing the middle of his lower lip. His neck, upper arms, and wrists had gold bands wrapped around them as well. To top off the look, his black hair was wild, as if he had just been in a hurricane, and his golden eyes were bright and glowed ominously. "Hey, were you the one who brought the snow?" ~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
Through expressionless eyes, he watched as the Sphinx in front of him returned to normal, returning to what was his human form. Once that had taken place, Storm finishes going down the steps, not once taking his eyes of the other male, taking in his appearance. So, he was right on his deductions at least. This guy had to be from Egypt. There was no denying his clothing style. At the question that was asked of him, he raises an eyebrow, shifting his wings slightly. "Why do you think I brought the snow? It's winter here, and in winter, it snows. And, being where we are, it often snows, even not in winter." He wanted to ask something like, 'what the hell are you doing breaking into my house?' but decided not to do that. Instead, he just let it be. "Since it looks like you've made yourself at home..." He glances at the other before walking to the wide doorway that led to the kitchen. "I was just about to make something to eat. Would you care to join me for dinner? But before I do that...You need to know my name, right? It's Storm." He doesn't wait for a response, and instead he goes into the kitchen, and gets things ready to create dinner for the both of them. "Go ahead an take a seat on the couch..." It wasn't long before the scents of wonderful food drifted through the air, tantalizing aroma's that made one's mouth's water with anticipation. While he waited for the main dish to cook, he brought out a cup of tea, making one of the types that he'd heard they serve in Egypt, making it just as they would back in that country. "Enjoy..." He tells the other male, before retreating back into the kitchen, to finish up with dinner. 'I just hope that letting him stay wasn't a bad choice on my part...' He thinks to himself. "Oh well...I don't mind the company..." He mutters quietly.
BlaqueCatt
Amen-ra raised a thin eyebrow when the other man spoke. His words and his tone were rather condescending, and the Sphinx narrowed his eyes the slightest bit. Don't talk to me like I'm a kid! he wanted to snap, but bit his tongue; he had to control his temper if he wanted this encounter to go smoothly. So instead of countering with a sarcastic comment, he allowed his grin to widen. "It may snow here," he replied, putting his hands up an a 'whatever' gesture, "but I saw you playing that snow like an instrument, and I knew you had something to do with it." He used his foot to kick the door shut, not even paying attention to how it creaked and shook on his hinges. "Sure, I'll stay," he said with an air of boredom, lifting his arms above his head as he stretched. "Not like I can cook anyway." His voice wasn't bitter when he said this, and he toed off his shoes before walking past Storm and into another room with the intent to explore. "Thanks a bunch, Stormy!" he added before plopping down onto the couch. Despite his outgoing and invasive attitude, he sat with his legs folded beneath him and his hands on his lap. His eyes surveyed the room curiously, but it wasn't long before he became bored. When Storm returned with the food, he was sitting upside-down with his head on the floor and feet up against the back cushions of the couch. ~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
Once the food was ready, and he had placed it onto a tray, he walks back into the room, almost dropping the food at the scene that was in front of him. He tries not to bust out laughing at what the guy was doing, the effort causing his side to hurt and his cheeks to turn red. He places the tray down, and once it was out of his hands, he lets the laughter free, laughing for a bit before calming down. "You sure are a strange one!" He tells the other, sitting down on the couch, next to him. "So, what's your name? You know mine, but I don't know yours..." As he sat there, he had quite the strong feeling that since meeting this guy, he knew that things were sure to change. And he looked forward to that, he liked change. He didn't complain much about the regular things that happened around there, but having a change of pace every now and then was a welcome thing for him. He recalls the statement that the man had made earlier before he had begun to cook, and looks to him. "Oh, and about what you said earlier...you're wrong. Well, halfway. Me being here is what is causing the reoccurring snow. Usually, here, it doesn't snow very often... So yeah. I didn't cause it myself, but my presence did." He wasn't about to tell this guy what he was, not just yet. Maybe later.
BlaqueCatt
The Egyptian man's cheeks became dusted with a light pink tinge, and he scowled, letting out a huff as he turned himself right-side-up. However, his tone wasn't angry when he spoke; in fact, he seemed pleased that he had gotten the stoic angel to show some emotion. "I'm the strange one? I wasn't making noise from frozen water!" He accepted the cup of tea that was handed to him and leaned back against the couch, tucking his legs beneath him again. Instead of waiting for the scalding liquid to cool, he took a sip as soon as he had it in his grasp, not even flinching when the tea ran down his throat. "You wanna know my name?" He grinned at the angel and tilted his head slightly, the movement causing his bangs to fall into his eyes, making him look a bit more wild and barbaric than he already did. "It's Amen-ra." He took another sip of the tea and sighed. He allowed his eyes to close as he relaxed, but his right eye opened when Storm spoke again. "Your presence?" The cup was placed on the coffee table in front of the couch and he leaned forward, studying the other man curiously. "Well, even if you didn't do it directly, it still had something to do with you, so I was right," he said with a smug smile. "So is playing with snow all you can do?" he asked next. ~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
"Amen-ra, huh? That's...a nice name." He smiles a little at the darker skinned individual, before taking a sip of his own tea, just letting the casual talk flow around him. When Amen-ra speaks again, Storm nods. "Yes, in a way you were exactly right." He looks over at the other male, noticing the smug smile, but says nothing of it. Might as well let him bask in his sense of self righteousness right? No reason to say anything about it. "As for "playing with snow" as you call it, that's one of the weakest of minor things I can do...even a amateur could do it. Of my race anyways. Which I'm not telling you." He then grins slyly at Amen-ra, letting him know that he wasn't the only one who knew how to play games. "I can do so much more...But I'm not going to tell you about that either." He grins again, leaning back into the couch. "By the way...what were you doing out at the park?" He glances over at Amen-ra, sipping his tea while he waited for an answer. Just what WAS he doing there? Why would someone like him even want to come to this damned place? Storm on the other hand, had no choice but to come here, but Amen-ra did. So why choose here? He keeps these thoughts to himself. All would reveal itself sooner or later. Hopefully sooner. BlaqueCatt
The sly grin that Storm sent his way had Amen-ra's blood thrumming with excitement. No one had dared to look at him in such a way for years, and it was quite refreshing. Besides, he loved a challenge. "Don't worry about it," he said off-handedly, casually waving a hand as if to dismiss the topic. "I'd rather figure it out for myself anyway." He matched Storm's grin with a smirk of his own, and his golden irises seemed to shimmer slightly, as if molten gold really was surrounding his pupils. "Not that it will be hard," he continued, keeping his tone neutral despite the fact that he was trying to get under the angel's skin. "I've seen what you can do. And with this," he used his right index finger to tap the side of his nose, "I'll have it figured out in no time." However, the Egyptian was surprised by the following question. What was I doing? His smirk widened, and his expression became even more self-assured. Caught your interest, did I? He ignored the fact that Storm had caught his own interest and let out a quiet hum of consideration, taking unnecessary time to pretend to consider the question. "Well, I was just doing my job." He kept the answer vague, wanting Storm to guess what he had been doing for a little while longer.
~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
'He was just doing his job, huh? And what kind of 'job' might an Egyptian Sphinx have in such a place as this I wonder?' Storm thinks to himself, watching the other male's movements, knowing that Amen-ra was trying to get under his skin, to keep him guessing. "Well, then, I hope that you have fun in this "job" of yours. Whatever it is." He replies, waving his hand in the air, showing that to him, not knowing exactly what Amen-ra did for a job, really didn't bother him much. "But really, why here? I mean, you obviously don't like snow, so why pick a place to do your job where it's likely to be snowing?" He looks directly at the other, his now golden eyes staring directly into Amen-ra's, which were a shade darker than his own, almost like molten gold. His own were more of a cold, hawk or eagle gold color, with black lining the edges. He sighs, not really wanting to be left hanging, but right then, he knew it probably didn't matter. He just met the guy, so of course there were things he didn't know. All he really knew about the guy was that he was Egyptian, a Sphinx, and his name was Amen-ra. That's all. "Well, the food is ready, so we can eat whenever you want top." He stands up, walking towards where the dining room was, pausing by the door to wait for Amen-ra to follow, sitting down at the table once he had, and allows Amen-ra to serve himself from the food that was lain out on the table. There was a variety of foods, but the main dish was a small chicken.
BlaqueCatt
The Egyptian man stood with Storm and followed the angel into the dining room, his bare feet padding softly against the floor. "It's not like I chose to come here," he muttered, plopping ungracefully into the chair next to the other. All of the food besides the meat was ignored, and the chicken skipped over the plate and went right into his mouth. When he spoke again, his mouth was full and the sentence was interrupted multiple times by hurried swallowing. "People don't really believe in gods anymore, you know? And most of the temples were torn down, so I wasn't needed as a guard anymore." Despite his attitude, there was evident sadness in the way his savage eating slowed and his eyes lowered. "But whatever, you don't wanna know about my life story anyway!" He slapped Storm on the back with a grin, but now it was obviously forced. "The point is I'm here now, yeah? Even though cold weather sucks, I do get to have a bit more fun here than in Egypt."
~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
Storm listened to Amen-ra speak, and noticed the change in attitude, even if it was only a slight change. His eyes were fixated on the Egyptian, noticing that despite what the man said, there was a slight forced feel to it, and he narrows his eyes, a tiny frown forming on his lips. "No, your wrong...I'm quite interested in your life story actually. Intrigued really. I'd love to hear more...And even though you're hear now...You still feel strongly for your home, do you not? I think that you do, despite what you may say..." He then falls silent, and begins to eat. Even though he said that...he felt slightly hypocritical, since he felt nothing for his home. Well...he really didn't know where his true home was. He didn't know where he was from. All he knew was that he existed. But until that moment he found out where he was from, he'd stay there, where he was at right there and now. For then was the time to exist right? To live life to the fullest. And he'd do exactly that. "Now then, tell me more about yourself. Then I just might tell you about me..." He glances at Amen-ra, and grins, before focusing on his food once more. BlaqueCatt
Storm's words were completely unexpected, and as a result, Amen-ra's golden eyes widened in surprise. Caught off-guard by the comment about his home, his jaw hung open slightly for a few moments, exposing partially chewed food until he remembered to close it and swallow. The fuck? Part of him was annoyed with Storm; who was he to tell the Egyptian how he felt? But on the other hand, the angel was right. Amen-ra did love his homeland, with its hot sun, warm sand, cool nights and pleasant surroundings... The Sphinx's gaze had become distant as he was lost in thought, remembering the details of the temple he had guarded. However, when Storm spoke again, he blinked and focused on the present. "You wanna know about me?" His tone was partially teasing, but also held a hint of appreciation. He learned forward, putting his elbow on the table and resting his chin in his palm. "How about this: I tell you something about me, and then you tell me something about you? It'll be a game." He grinned slyly.
~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
Amen-ra's reaction was priceless. The slightly shocked look in the Egyptian's eyes would be burned forever into Storm's memory, and a small smile forms on his lips. For a moment he says nothing after the other asked if he wanted to know about him, but then he nods. "Yes, I do. I really do." He puts his fork down, and looks to the other male, noticing his expression. At the man's offer, of telling Storm something about him, in exchange for something about Storm himself, Storm nods. "Yes, it sounds quite the fun game if I must say so myself. Bring it on." He had a feeling the rest of dinner would be forgotten about, but he didn't mind. He hadn't gotten this much time to spend with someone, to bond with a stranger. And he cherished every moment of it. He sits back in his chair, shifting his weight so he was more comfortable, and places his arms onto the table, folding his hands together, his fingers linking. Storm gazes at Amen-ra, waiting for the other to say something, wondering just how this would turn out, and just what exactly they would both end up exposing to each other. However, before Amen-ra says anything, he gets any idea. He stands up, and walks to the kitchen door. "Do you drink?" He asks, but without waiting for an answer, goes to the cellar and pulls out a few bottles of vintage red wine, and then glasses from the kitchen, returns to the dining room, and pours a glass for both of them. Sitting back down, he places himself in the same position as before, and smiles to Amen-ra. "Okay, that's better. Let the game proceed." He sips his wine, waiting patiently. BlaqueCatt
The Egyptian's grin widened, if that was even possible, then Storm mentioned drinks. "Hell yeah I do!" he exclaimed before biting off another piece of the chicken. "What did you think I spent every day doing at the temple? Guarding it?" He did, in fact, guard the temple, and was quite good at his job, as well as proud of it, but he didn't want the angel to know about that part of him yet. His pride wouldn't allow it. He watched as his generous host poured the wine, and snatched his glass without a 'thank-you', instead drinking half of it at once. It was different than what he was used to, but it wasn't bad. "All right...one thing about me...hmm..." He tilted his head as he pondered, the fork hanging limply from his mouth. After a few moments, he turned his attention from the wine glass to Storm and said, "I have no parents." When he said that, though, he didn't mean that they died. ~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
Storm watches with a satisfied smile as the Egyptian gladly accepted the wine, and chuckles to himself when he downed nearly half the glass in one single gulp. "Well, I'm glad that you like the drink." He says, ignoring the fact that the other hadn't even said a simple thank you for his generosity. But he didn't really care. Or he just let the fact on that he didn't care. For now he'd let it slide. When the other finally answered the question, telling Storm he had no parents, Storm tilts his head slightly. He never mentioned them being dead, so he wondered...But no, he wouldn't ask that, not yet anyways. He decided to play his own little game, and keep Amen-ra guessing, frustrate him with simple answers. This was going to be very interesting. "Alright. So it's my turn." He pauses, and acts as if he was thinking of an answer, though he already had one in mind. After a few minutes, he speaks. "I don't have parents either." He knew not if his parents were dead, but he didn't grow up with them. He had not a clue if he even truly ever had any to begin with. "Your turn." He grins, and sips his wine, looking to Amen-ra with a simmering and smoldering grin, his eyes shining with a certain teasing quality.
BlaqueCatt
Oh, it's on, he thought, catching the teasing light in the angel's eyes. Amen-ra matched the expression, but added his own cocky flare with a crooked smile and the exposure of fangs. Well, I have something you'll want to know more about. The Sphinx leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms over his chest, balancing on only two of the four wooden legs. "Let's stick to the topic of birth," he responded, his unblinking gaze never leaving the others' icy eyes. "I was created, not born."
~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
"Alright then." He nods towards Amen-ra's statement of sticking to the topic of birth. When Amen-ra says he was created, not born, he raises an eyebrow, but that's the only reaction he showed to the other man. "I'm not even sure if I was born, created, or something else..." He winks at Amen-ra, and pours another glass of the wine for them, having finally finished his own. "That was my answer. Your turn again." He was having fun with this. He knew, eventually, that one of them would get annoyed with the other, and he was determined to make it Amen-ra to lose his cool first.
