K: --No one we knew, so far. Most of the townsfolf know to avoid the sea in this kind of storm. Yokohime called, though, he said that he couldn't reach You on the cellphone, so he called home, instead. Nagizawa slept there and they are both fine, so are their families.

 

Y: --That's great, what about your friends?

 

K: --Kamizawa's husband gave us a little scare, since he was out of town and planned to return today, but he managed to call her and tell her that the plane did not take uf due to the storm and his call wouldn't connect since he got no signal. Other than that, everyone is fine.

 

Y: --That's great. I'm relieved. What about Kaito?

 

K: --The hospital calmed up a little after 3am. So much so that they sent him home, since there was not much he could do to help in this kind of situation. He's no medic, so staying in the hospital at that time would be useless. Did You get any sleep at all?

 

Y: --I managed to sleep when I hear the helicopters back on, but it was morning, already.

 

K: --Same here. Kahoku?

 

Y: --I tried not to loop him in, It's bad enought our family has to be like this when this kind of storm occurs. I want him smiling.

They both laughed.

 

Y: --What about the bridge?

 

K: --Damage evaluation is still going on. But last I heard, it should take at least a week to fix.

 

Y: --I see. Well, let me bring this to Kahoku before it gets cold.

 

K: --Ok, if You need anything, just tell me. Oh, and by the way. My sheet got wet last night cause I've left the window badly closed so I went to grab a spare one... You guys were quite "romantic" last night, hehehehe.

 

Kahoku didn't need to see to know that Youkine was blushing.

 

Then Kameko walked away and Youkine took some time taking deep breaths. He then opened the door with a tray on hand.

 

--Oi, You're awake, already? - said Youkine, while he walked towards Kahoku and knelt down in front of him. -Well, I'm no cooker, but I still managed to make You scrambled eggs, toast a bread, get some orange juice and some cream cheese. The tea is Green Tea with sakura petals.

 

Youkine left the tray between them, and Kahoku noticed that all of the ammounts were doubles, Youkine had made breakfast for both of them. The bigger swimmer had a smile in face.

"Five major hospitals in Tokyo meaning if at least 190 people survived only the top 3 would get the rush of people, dad must've been busy"

 

Kahoku's father was the second head of the cardiology department which was always busy and although they were constantly apart the worry was always present.

 

Reaching for his phone he checked the signal and tried to open the news app no signal largely popped on his screen

Last night he hadn't even bothered to cover up his moans or pleas and Youkine had given him not option so....

 

The door began to slightly open and Kahoku threw his phone under the nearest pillow while a small cling was heard

'A message got through, theres signal again' he though as Youkine's face appeared carrying deliciously smelling food.

 

His stomach twisted from hunger and he could do nothing but stare,

"Yummy" he said "Thank you for the food"

The next week and a half went by smoothly. Youkine's family took Kahoku in quite happily and Kameko were their biggest supporter. And then there were the nights. They were full of torrid passion and sex, filled with naughtyness and moans. One day Kahoku even decided to make Youkine a morning surprise and they had a full course of sex before anyone else would wake up. But the days went by, and the bridge was repaired right on time, since on the very next week both the teenagers would start university.

 

The Shinkansen trip back went smoothly, and it went by almolst entirely with Kahoku sleeping in Youkine's chest. The night before was a lot more... Wild... Then the other ones. At the end, they decided that they would tell Kahoku's parents both at once, so they would have to wait untill the weekend. Plus, it was the weekend before university begun, so a lot of pressure would be around.

 

As the day dawned, Youkine was a little nervous, although Kahoku said that his parent's would probably be a lot easier. In two days, Kahoku and Youkine would both be taking science classes together, allthough their focus would probably be different. Youkine was going for Sports Science, Kahoku, Youkine guessed, would follow in his father's footsteps and go towards medicine. That probably ment two years on the same course and then dividing into different branches.

It was all different and overwhelming at first university had provided Kahoku an understanding of real struggle and work. Although if you really think about it what had Kahoku over his actually nerves was the fact that in 2 days he would tell his parents about Youkine. Kahoku had spent the week hinting his mother and for what he could see she had understood but had not said anything against it.

It wasn't the fact that Youkine was a man, more than it was the first partner in general to be introduced to the family. His parents had always asked Kahoku when the first girlfriend would come and one day his father became irritated and said that even a man would do he just wanted to see Kahoku create a love life soon. The problem was Kahoku wasn't much into love and his parent had begun to fear that he would not find happiness in that aspect.

 

The introductions would be easy enough and for sure his parents would accept they were very open in all senses, it was the reaction his father would have that worried him.

"I hope he likes how Youkine is" whispered Kahoku as he gathered his things of school.

And so the big day came. Youkine was really nervous, cause telling Kahoku's parents would make things really official, but he loved Kahoku that much. Kameko was trying to calm him down, but it didn't seem to help that much. The boys agreed Youkine would go to Kahoku's place and that they would tell them the truth over there, but Youkine was afraid that they would not accept him, if not for being a guy, maybe for not being good enough for him or anything else. At that moment, Youkine was thinking about everything he was NOT good at and everything he was not.

 

He got to the boy's place five minutes before the agreed time, so he waited a bit outside before ringing the door bell. He was about to ring it, when Kahoku opened the door and looked at him. The bigger swimmer took a deep breath and walked inside.

 

It was time to face the fear.

The news were placed on the table and silence spread for far too long. Eyes were passed from Youkine to Kahoku , his mother then lastly his father.

 

No one said anything. No one even took a breath.

Kahoku's mother spoke first.

"Well this sure is a surprise, Kahoku had never brought a boyfriend home... or girlfriend, or well anyone in general!

I'm happy he became interest in aspects of love, Welcome Youkine, I'm Rina" mother smiled happily while dad remained quiet in the side.

 

"Well I would like to know more about you" said father with an intense stare that made a chill run down Kahoku's spine.

 

"How old are you? grades? interest in study? activities?" the questions bombarded Youkine and Kahoku blushed.

 

'Great now he's going to run off thinking dad is crazy' thought Kahoku as his head hung down.

Youkine was tomato-red. He was blushing so hard he could as well be about to blow up. Kahoku couldn't remember seeing him like that in any competition of any sort, he was clearly over-ventilating and his breath was uneven. --I would like to reiterate that I really love Your son. Also, I've been studying him for a while.

 

And then he noticed he had built up that sentence completely wrong, and the words started comming out of his mouth in quick succesion.

One second too late he noticed that that didn't sound any better.

And then he went silent, not knowing what more to say. He did another deep bow out of the blue, not rising his head, not knowing what to do, he was the most red Kahoku had ever seen him.

Father gave one last look at Youkine before laughter erupted between him and Rina.

 

"Oh Kisuke you're terrible" breathed Rina as she looked over to Youkine.

 

"hahahaha sorry sorry, its fine don't worry you're fine. Rina has been getting hints of this day for a while now and I cam eup wit strict father act" father continued to deeply laugh. "Do no worry young Youkine you are fine for my son. I'm Kisuke its great to meet you"

 

Kahoku blushed and smiled greatly at the sudden reaction from his father. Sucks jokes were only played on people his father truly liked and wanted to befriend .

 

"Thank you mom dad " said Kahoku as a deep blush spread through his face.

Youkine looked at Kahoku's parents relieved and with a smile on his face. He took another deep bow, this time a proper one, to the parents. After that, he took Kahoku's hand, entwining his fingers with the younger swimmer's.

 

--Well - he said, looking at Kahoku - it seems that now it's official.

 

Youkine didn't remember ever feeling such joy in his life. "it seems I fell in love face-first" he remembered telling his sister, and it was true.

 

--Thank You, Mr. and Ms. Inoue. - he said, looking back at the parents.

 

Youkine's smile was pure and truthfull, the most honest smile of his life.
