Felix got up, and ran towards the door. He tried to open it but it was locked. He banged on it.

Lucius layed on the bed, and "felt" Felix went into sleep, sobbing. The tought that HE consisted every single thought of Felix's mind when Felix fell asleep made Lucius very satisfied. Gradually Lucius' consciousness began to fade as he fell asleep. He would let Felix heal and recover for the time being, Lucius was certain Felix wouldn't try anything stupid right after what habe just hsppened, at least not until the next game he said he would like in 3 days.

"Felix..Time for breakfast." Felix heard alpha as he shook him.. He opened his eyes and nodded... Felix thought of how embarrassed, he felt terrible..

"After I eat can I go talk to master?" He asked..He wanted to know why....He want..to know what..what this feeling he has is..Whenever he thinks of him..the beast his heart speeds up..He does things that he does not realize what he is coin.He catches himself starring at him.

Lucius woke up from a dream. He had dreamt about the world before the war again during his last sleep. Lucius wondered was it because of Felix that he dreamt so often these days.

 

"Good evening, my master."Alpha appeared at the side of Lucius' bed, "Would you like something to drink? We still have a little blood in reserves."

 

"No, I'm fine." Lucius replied. Then he asked: "How is Felix?"

 

"As usual, soft and sentimental." Alpha replied, "He wish to speak with master."

 

"Speak with me?" Lucius said surprised. He thought after what happened earlier the last thing Felix wanted would be seeing him. He could interpret Felix's mood by feeling his blood pressure, hart beat, breathing, etc. But Lucius couldn't figure out exactly what Felix was up to. Felix was nervous, about something, but what?

 

"..............Fine then, bring him to me when he is ready." Lucius said.

He finished his breakfast...Im gonna get fat if I keep eating like that. He thought.

"The master has said yes." Alpha appeared.

Felix nodded

"I know where it is by now you don't need to escort me." Alpha nodded going away again.

Felix got up stretching and walked to the room. He stared at the door awhile before opening it. as he did fear began to confum him again.

"Master?" He stutter.

"I have I question..You have lived much longer then me....I don't. know if you have an answer but..Master..Im so confused." At this he grabbed his head falling to the ground.

"WHY DO i FEEL THIS WAY! MY heart speeds up WHEN I THINK OF YOU ..I do things that I does not realize I catches myself starring at at you what is this."

Lucius looked at Felix, he didn't know how to react. Of course he knew why Felix is acting like this. But how? How could Felix feel this way for him after all he has done? Feeling fear? Of course. Hatred? Obviously. Desire? Maybe. But this? How? How inexperienced, naive, and....pure.....Felix must be to fell for the one who imprisoned, tortured, and played him like a toy?

 

Looking at Felix's expression Lucius realized, that he too, felt the same way for Felix. From the first time they've met, from the first time he laid his eye on Felix on that stage, he had fell for him, hopelessly. That was the reason he wanted Felix at his side, that was the reason he wanted to see, hear, smell, touch and taste every moan every cry every agony every drop of sweat and tear and blood of this young man before him. He felt incomprehensible joy knowing that even through all that cruelty he demonstrated, perhaps some of his feelings resonated in Felix, and created a response.

 

In his own mind Lucius said: "Thank you Felix. Thank you for your love. This means more than anything in the world to me."

"That's the very reason I CANNOT afford to let you love me. NO! i can't! I won't allow it! I WILL NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE! I will break you down! I will torture you! I will humiliate you! I will let your hatred for me and every last one of my kind bloom so you could burn the world down! I will teach you all there is to know about how to kill vampires! And when all is said and done......I will give my heart to you, so you can pierce it with a stake!"

 

 

 

"It seems like I have been too soft on you.......human!" Lucius said coldly and kicked Felix in the face. Pulling up Felix's head by his hair, Lucius said in a tone as cold as ice: "I am not your baby sitter, nor am I your psychiatrist. I don't care what why where when how do you feel! You are my property! Your purpose is to serve me as food or as entertainment or as whatever I want you to be!" He let lose of Felix's hair, held his wrist with one hand, and began to drag Felix out of the room and down the hallway.

Felix got anger and pulled his hand away.

"NO! YOU HAVE NEVER EVEN FEED OFF ME YET! AND YOU SAID YESTERDAY THAT I COULD ASK YOU ANYTHING AND THIS IS MY QUESTION!" He screamed. "You also said I'm different. Why how! I want to know! Why did you start the war?! what is going on in my head."

"ENOUGH!!!" Lucius roared, the very building seemed to have trembled in fear. "You have overstep your limit for the last time!"

 

For a moment it seemed like black mist is coming out of Lucius' body, but soon it became clear that it was not mist, but millions of birds, bats, flies, mosquitoes, beetles, butterflies, locusts and all kinds of unrecognizable creatures, all staring at Felix with their glowing red eyes, showing their fangs, waving their claws,

 

"Let me make this very clear for you so your pathetic little mind can understand! I am your master and you are my slave. I am the predator and you are the prey! I can play with my prey however I want before eating it. Don't even for a SECOND dream that you can mean anything more than that to me! Your only chance out is to play the game, and if you impress me enough I might just let you out! And since you so damn eager to let me feed on you, then fine!"

 

Lucius raised his hand and pointed at Felix, and said coldly: "I shall feed upon you then. Try not to scream, it irritates me." And the creatures swarm in on Felix, almost covered every inch of his skin, biting, stinging, scratching and drinking blood from the countless wounds they made.

 

Lucius walked back to the room the swarm, which was a extension of himself, tormented Felix. He admit deep inside his heart that even though he didn't wish to cause anymore harm to Felix, he also enjoyed it. And that's the very reason he can't afford to love Felix. His love is too destructive.

 

"Alpha, come forth." as usual the loyal servant appeared as his master commanded.

 

"What is your command, my master?"

 

"Patch Felix up when I am finished with him. It's going to be a mess so use the best medicine. I want him fully recoverd by tommorow"

 

"Yes master."

 

"And speed up his learning, I don't care how, hypnotize him for cast a spell on him whatever you do, I want him learn as fast as you can, and when he is ready, make sure he "accidentally" found this book." Lucius opened the drawer of his desk, and took out an old, dusty book and thrown it to Alpha. He looked at the cover and was shocked.

 

"But.....master...this is...."

 

"Now leave." Lucius commanded. Alpha bowed and left the room. He began to plan how to teach Felix quicker, and how to let Felix find the book without him becoming suspicious.

 

"But why would master want the human to read the book about spells against the undead?" Alpha wondered.

Felix stood there in Horror as the man yelled at him.

"But." was all he got out when the swarm hit him.

It was more then pain...he thought he would die for sure. He couldn't see, but he did cry and he did try to think through the pain.

'My name is Felix...Felix Jackson...I am 18 years old..." The pain was so much he screamed. it felt like he was being eaten alive...well he kind of was.

Soon he passed out.

He woke up on an operating table some where in the house with Alpha hovering over him. As he opened his eyes he felt the pain.

"It hurts." He rasped.

"Don't worry Felix you will heal in an hour or so." Alpha said reassuringly.

"You remind me of my dad he would always say that when I was cut or something." Felix replied.

"Well it is seeming like i am tending to you as if you were a family member of mine." He smiled.

Soon the 2 hours of healing were over and he had to move on to learning like always.

"This is Stupid!" He yelled Staring at the book.

"No it isn't your people use to glorify this thing act them out in things that are called movies."

"Act?OUt?" Felix asked.

"Oh come on." He guide Felix to an empty room with only a couch.

"Watch, this one was very popular back in the day..It is called Harry Potter. The book sierese I do have to admit our better, but the movies are great too."

"You read Alpha."

"Yes if I ever get any free time, you humans did have a way with written word to make you Imagination explode."

Felix laugh and Alpha sat next to him. Felix soon laid his head on the mans lap...Though this man wasn't human, Felix trusted him and defiantly like him.He saw him like his dad..They watched the movie Felix was in awe of what his people use to create it was an epic tale like the ones in fairy tales, Geek myths and such. Once it was over Alpha looked down on him he had been rubbing Felix sore back, though it was healed it was still sorta sore.

"Now do you want to learn to read, or find it stupid."

"No."

Alpha Nodded.

"Here you can take a nap you have worked hard..I'll wake you up in a little."

Felix nodded he was tired and he like how Alpha treated him and how he let him become like his adopted son.

'How is he doing?" Lucius asked.

 

"He is learning fast." Alpha appeared behind Lucius back." I showed him movies, the spell I've hidden in the film should allow him to absorb knowledge faster than usual, though it will still take some time before he will be able to read a whole book."

 

"Good. You're doing a great job taking care of Felix for me.........He must like you very much."

 

"Yes. He seems to trust me a lot. Since every encounter of Felix with you had been....stressful for him. I figured the least I can do is to offer some emotional support. "

 

Lucius fell silent, for a moment he even began to envy his own familiar, but he soon thrown the thought away: "And what about the book? How do you plan to give it to him without him getting suspicious?"

 

"When he reach the level required to read the book, I intend to bring him to the library and leave him to explore by himself, then something, perhaps a mouse or a swarm of bugs, would startle him and make him find out a secret chamber by "accident", leading him to the book."

 

"Perfect plan, Alpha. Keep up the good work."

 

Lucius looked outside the window, the sky was covered by dark clouds. For the first time in decades he is inpatient. He couldn't wait for Felix to learn and grow. He remembered Felix wanted to have another "game" a few days ago, but after the eventful last few days Lucius wondered do Felix want to challenge him at this point of time.

"Felix. Time to wake up bochan."

Felix grunted getting up. They ate lunch and then started up again. Felix was starting to get it.

"Then He sat and looked at the dog, it was the color of the sun." He read.

"Good job Felix!"

"Hey Alpha why does he hate me?"

"Why does he hate you?" Alpha thought about Felix's question. Of course he knew that his master, Lucius, does not hate Felix. On the contrary he loves Felix, more than anything on this planet. If there's anyone Lucius hated it was himself. Alpha wished he could tell Felix all these things, but he must obey his master's will.

 

"Master does not hate you, Felix. I'm afraid he simply don't care how you feel. Anyway, you"ve made some progress, I think It's about time you can explore a little bit. Come with me!"

 

Alpha lead Felix to a large room, filled with book shelves after book shelves of books.

 

"Here is where all the books are stored. You can look around and see if anything interest you."

Felix starred in awe. All of the books looked amazing..

"My people are the greatest. " He whispered and looked up and down the isle

he looked everywhere. A mouse appeared and he followed it.

"Hey little you shouldn't be here." he said. The mouse stopped and sat on a book...Felix looked puzzled. He ,over the mouse and it scurried away.

"Spells that affect the..the undead." He read the cover. OH my he thought.

He grabbed it and ran into a corner.

Alpha waited Felix outside the library. He knew Felix took the book. He sighed in relief. He waited a bit longer until Felix came out with a pile of books in his hands.

 

"Good, now here is a dictionary for you. So you can look up words that you don't recognize." Alpha put another book on Felix's hand. "Now what do you want to do next? You want to cintinue our study, or you want to go back to your room and rest for a little?"

"Can I go to master and show him how much I have learned..He was complain how I wasn't learning faster." He said with a smile.

" I want to prove hime wrong."

He had read some the spell book and wanted to use the spell which would tie his master up and then he could finally get answers and maybe escape.

Alpha thought for a second. He wad sure that Lucius never said he wad unsatisfied with Felix's learning speed out loud to him. The why did Felix said so? He looked at Felix and wondered what was he up to. But on the other hand Alpha was certain that Lucius, regardless of what he claim, would like to see Felux as often as possible.

 

"Alright. I shall bring you to meet master later today." Alpha responded.

"Okay."

He walked to the couch, and sat down.

"Ugh." He said opening the book.

Alpha reported Felix's desire to meet with Lucius to him. Lucius acknowledged it and leted Alpha leave him alone. Deep down in hus heart he was overjoyed to learn that Felux wanted to meet him. It seems their last encounter had not made him too terrifying to meet.

 

Yet Lucius also wondered the intention behind Felix's request. What's he up to this time? Lucius found Felix to be always unpredictable, for better or for worse.

Alpha came back saying it was okay. Felix got up reciting the spell to find the man and make him unable to move in his head. He got a piece of ribbon like the book said

He was nervous but ready. He ran and slammed into the door opening it.

"I bind you Lucius Bathory, your work, your voice and your chants. The work you did against me will not effect me" He held the ribbon tight.

" I bind you, I stop your spell"

He tied a knot in the ribbon and

" I stop your work"

He tied it again

"Your spell is gone, your work destroyed."

He yelled reciting it. I it worked it would bind him making him unable to move only speak.

".....I'm impressed.....I don't know where did you learn that spell....bur it's not enough!!" Lucius roared in anger as he jumped up from his chair. Of course he was not angry because Felix used the spell on him. In fact he was overjoyed to know that Felix was able to learn from the book so quickly, and had the potential, above all the courage to use the spell on him.

 

But Lucius was furious, because how rash Felix's action was. Felix had no idea if the spell book is real or not, it book might just be a collection of useless syllables! He didn't even bother to test the spells on a ghoul and he came straight for Lucius! Any other vampire would have killed Felix on sight! It was the same with the last time when Felix tried to kill him in his sleep, how careless! How foolish! How did he survive this long in the wilds being this reckless? Perhaps it was this recklessness that led him being captured in the first place?

 

Lucius rushed in front of Felix in a blink of an eye, and punched Felix in the stomach. He garbed him in his throat and said angrily: "You are a fool! Someone who just became a vampire might have been paralyzed by that spell, an experienced one might have been greatly handicapped, but not an elder one like me! Even if it worked I could have chanted a spell myself or use a million other way to kill with just with my mouth! You think just a stake, or just some spell could kill someone like me!? Do you have any idea how much it takes to kill an elder vampire?! It will take an army with extensive planning and perfect timing! Then at best you have a slight chance! Who the hell do you think I am? I am LUCIUS BATHORY! The bringer of eternal night!!! The unending swarm!!!! STOP UNDERESTIMATE ME YOU FUCKING IDIOT!!!!!"

 

Lucius began to threw punches at Felix. At his point Lucius was overran by anger, it broke the last veil of reason that kept Lucius sane. After a few more punches he began to violently tear Felix's cloths apart. The difference between the impulse of violence and the impulse of desire is now almost non-existing.

Felix felt the welts already forming on his body.

"Ow..Master..Lucius."He mumbled as they came. Then it happened his cloths were being taken off. He punch ad kicked at the older man.

"Stop! I GET IT! I'LL NEVER BEABLE TO KILL YOU, I SHOULD JUST GIVE UP AND BECOME A SUBMISSIVE SLAVE!" He yelled as tears streamed down his face he was so scared...
