Wolf Meets World (Pigeon and KuroBear)

[KuroBear]

Takashi sat where he always did, in a comfy chair on the patio, and worked on the same desk, a clear table with cluster of used candles in the center. Despite the bleak and seemingly unchanging atmosphere of his work space, there would be an unlimited and colorful brain inside his head. His story writing would be his main consumer of time for him now that school was over. It was calm and breezy this day of summer, which was his favorite to work in, so the clicking of his laptop keys went on non stop. Occasionally, he'd look up at the greenery, maybe even catch sight of some wildlife... like that wolf he'd seen every so often. It looked scruffy and had even had a chewed ear, but to Takashi, it was actually pretty cute. But now wasn't the time for that; he was on a roll and he kept typing and typing.

Felix sat in the bushes by Takashi's patio. His heart was pounding in his chest as he stared out at the human. Today he had decided that he would finally talk to the man, he would finally tell him his feelings. His fur was muddy and full of burrs from the day long journey it took to get from his pack to the human's home. But Felix didn't care about such things, all he cared about right now was how the stranger would react. Of course Felix had never talked to the man, Felix had never talked to any human. But he had sat in this same spot for months, rain or shine, watching the human write. The wolf raised himself from his sitting position onto all four paws and slowly walked out of the bushes and climbed up onto the patio. His ears flicked up to be more alert and sat down at the Human's feet. He couldn't bring up the courage to change into his human form and talk to the man, it was scary to think he could be rejected.

It wasn't a shocker for Takashi to not realize anything had come out of the bushes until he heard the sound of claws clicking on the tiles with each step of the wolf. His eyes widened with surprise of the sudden appearance and for once, probably all day, he stopped typing for a while. It was that wolf he'd seen every so often. "Hey, boy," He says, in disbelief that the wild animal had just walked up to him in such a manor, "Uh..." Not sure what to say or do, Takashi turns away from the laptop screen and gives his full attention to the wolf, "Wow...You sure are dirty..." He mumbles, feeling slightly uncomfortable with the wolf this close. What if it had fleas, ticks or both? He couldn't handle any of those, not even the massive amount of dried mud on it's fur. At least it didn't look like he'd attack him or anything. Takashi hesitates, but looks at his own, gloved hands, and reaches out slowly for the animal, "If you bite me, I swear, you're becoming a coat."

Felix's tail thumped on the patio floor in excitement as he stared up at the human. His overwhelming love for the stranger was making his heart feel like it was about to burst. Without any sort of warning he changed into his human form, not even thinking about his lack of clothing, and grabbed the man's hand. His grip was gentle as he leaned down and pressed a kiss to the human's palm, his expression blissful. Felix didn't give the stranger any time to react before smiling up at him and speaking. "I love you! Please come live with me!"

"... It talks? It's a... human...?!" Takashi looks into the filthy boy's green eyes and sees all human and no wolf, the animal in front of him was gone. His own dark eyes stared back into the wolf's/ human's before feeling incredibly light headed, "Wolf... Talking wolf human... oh..." The ultimate shock of this dream was too much and the older boy's eyes rolled back slightly before falling backwards, making him and his chair fall over onto the floor. Takashi had skipped lunch. Yes. That small change of his daily routine could have caused this outrageous anomaly to occur in his dream! But... but when did he fall asleep then? Did he write so much gold in his head?! The dread of thinking 4 hours of writing had gone to waste woke Takashi up about three minutes after he fell backwards, with a sharp gasp to add with that, "Please, no!"

[Kotorichan]

Felix gasped and caught the human in his arms, holding him carefully to make sure he wasn't hurt. He stared down at the stranger's face, confused as to why he had collapsed. The wolf gently licked his cheek to try to wake him but it didn't work. He began to whine and bump his face against the man's, trying to figure out how to fix the situation. He let out a loud bark at the sound of the human's voice, relieved that he was awake. "You're okay!" He said happily, nuzzling his nose into the stranger's cheek.

Blinking blankly, all he feels was dirt being smudged onto his face, which was pretty much the grossest thing ever, but then again... talking human wolf. "So it wasn't a dream," Takashi mutters under his breath and pushes the wolf boy away from him, definitely recognizing the same features from the wolf on him. The shaggy hair, the bitten ear and especially those green eyes. Still amazed, he stares at the other for a couple of seconds without a word before saying bluntly, his own eyes full of confusion, "How do you exist? Wolves aren't supposed to be people. They aren't supposed to talk. How? Why? Why did you... you're naked..." So many things were going through his head at once, which isn't new, for his thoughts were like a teenager's room: messy, yet everything had it's place.

[Kotorichan]

"Why aren't wolves supposed to turn into humans? All the wolves in my pack are like this..." Felix frowned deeply and tilted his head to the side. "You seem upset... Did I say something that bothered you? I didn't mean to... It's just that I'm in love with you and I want you to come live in the forest with me" He smiled again and leaned in to nuzzle him again. "My name's Felix, will you come live with me and be my mate? Please?" He had no idea why the man would be bothered by his appearance. He had never been bothered by seeing humans around so why would a human be bothered by him? It didn't make sense, but Felix didn't like to over think things so he figured he would just forget about it.

"Whoa whoa, wait," He says, shaking his head and pushing Felix away, backing up slightly himself, "You're in love with me and you want me to be your mate... in the forest. This is all just wrong." Takashi chuckles and pinches his arm with no luck of waking, only being reassured further that this wasn't a dream. This was insanity. "Okay. First of all, I'm not going to be your 'mate'. That's just plain silly. Even more ridiculous, I'm definitely not living in the woods!" Wiping his cheek, he frowns and looks at the terribly dirty boy, then at his glove, which was dusted with brown dirt, "Yeah... and your covered in dirt and you have no clothes. So, I'd rather you not do that... thing. The nuzzling. It's not practical. Hm," Takashi starts thinking out loud, rubbing his chin and looking to the side, "Well you are a wolf and I guess that is practical for your kind... But it isn't for mine!"

[Kotorichan]

Felix tilted his head to the side and stared at the human. He really didn't understand what was happening but he knew things weren't going the way he had wanted them to. "Why won't you be my mate?" He whimpered, scooting closer to the man. "I really love you and I wanna stay with you. Haven't you seen me visit for the past few months?" He thought for a moment, trying to think of what he could do to make things work out. "What if I bring you a deer?" He suggested, brightening up at the idea. "I can kill you one and we can eat it together and everything!"

Cringing at the thought, Takashi only backs up even more, "I'm a vegetarian, I can't stand the sight of anything like a dead deer. That's disgusting anyways. Why would any human being eat a raw deer from the woods? It could have parasites for all they know!" He shook his head and had to force himself back to the main thing he had heard now and previously. Love? "And Felix, I'm Takashi by the way, I have seen you a lot, but as a wolf. I never saw anything romantic between me and you. I liked seeing you, don't get me wrong, but not in that way at all. I thought you were kind of cute. The puppy kind of cute."

[Kotorichan]

Felix's eyes widened in shock as the man talked. He felt his chest tightening at the realization that Takashi was... Was disgusted by him. For a moment he tried to hold back his tears but quickly gave up and burst into sobs. The dirt caked on his cheeks turned to mud and ran down to his chin. "B-but- I-I really like yooou!" He howled, not caring that he was probably making things work. He had put so much hope in this human, his pack didn't accept him but he had been so sure that Takashi would.

The loud howl had gave him a cold shiver, making him spring to Felix and cover his mouth shut. Thank god for gloves. "Hey," He whispers 'loudly', looking quite distressed himself, "There's no need to cry, come on..." Takashi sighs, lowering his head, knowing he might hate himself for this, "I do like you, okay? But not like that. How about you just forget about all that and come inside. I'll wash you and give you something to eat. Will you stop crying? Please?" The positive pert of this was that he could properly wash and dress the wolf boy, but the downside was that Felix might make a mess and that his parents might be coming home soon. It didn't matter to Takashi at the moment, he just didn't want a crying, naked, dirty boy on his patio.

Felix whined softly and nodded. He wiped his tears off with the back of his hand, only serving to smear more mud over his face. "you'll let me go inside your den?" He asked hopefully. "And I can spend time with you?" finally managed a smile, excited at the idea of going inside the building that he had only seen from the outside. He had no idea what kind of place a human would live in, so he just assumed that it would be like his own den, full of moss, dirt, and the bones of animals he had eaten.

[KuroBear]

With a small sigh, he nods and goes for a smile, "Yes. But you have to promise me that you won't touch anything. And when I mean anything, I mean everything. You're unbelievably dirty and we just cleaned the house yesterday... I'm not taking the blame if you make my mom scream over dirt on her sofa." Takashi starts picking himself up from the floor, but repeats again with a serious look, "I mean it... Now come on. Stand up." Returning to his laptop, he closes the screen, fully knowing his work was saved and it would be put in a sleep mode. He'd come back for it later.

[Kotorichan]

"I won't touch anything... But why don't you like dirt? Dirt is fun to play in and stuff grows in it and it's warm to snuggle in during the winter..." Felix stood up and shook his hair out of his face. "You're very strange" he laughed and moved closer to the human trying to snuggle up against him. "so how do we go in your den? I don't see any openings..." He asked, looking over at the house. He didn't know how doors worked so he just assumed the entrance was somewhere else.

[KuroBear]

"I'm the strange one?" He mumbles under his breath as he steps up to the sliding door, giving Felix a lethargic stare as he takes the handle and slides open the door as easily as breathing through your nose, "This is called a door. We, humans, use this to enter our houses. They aren't called dens... But anyways. This is just the door to the patio. The other doors are different and I'll show you when we get to the bathroom." Takashi opens it up wide and motions the boy to come inside, "You probably haven't been in a house before, I can imagine, so... uh. Don't freak out. There is no dirt in here. The house is made out of wood completely."

[Kotorichan]

"Wood? But it doesn't look like a tree..." Felix followed the human to the door and peered inside. "Whoa, its all weird..." He scampered inside and took a deep breath to smell the new place. It was so amazing! He had never even imagined that humans lived in this kind of place. Without a second thought he turned into a wolf and barked up at Takashi, his tongue lolling out in excitement. He immediately forgot his promise and went running towards a table. He circles around one of the legs and growled softly before stopping and sniffing at the wood.

[KuroBear]

Takashi rolls his eyes, shaking his head as he closed up the sliding door, "You better not break anything..." Keeping an eye on him, the boy walks barefoot to the stairs, his motions silent and slow like a cat, "Come on, we're going upstairs. Careful with your claws, Felix. I can explain dirt and everything, but scratches in the floor? Both of my parents will have their own part in killing me and dumping my body in a ditch." Already starting to walk up, he looks back at the wolf, "But not before you do!" Okay, so he'd give him a bath now; the only dread he had was all the dirt and grime that would come off him. Takashi would have to disinfect the tub before even thinking of taking a bath!

[Kotorichan]

Felix turned back in his human form to avoid scratching up the floor and ran after Takashi. "I'm good at fighting! They couldn't kill me!" He said cheerfully. He reached out and lightly tugged on Takashi's shirt. "What's this? You always have these on you but I've never seen then in the forest..." He tried to lift the edge up to see what was underneath "is it hiding something?" The wolf had far too much engery and curiousity to just stay quiet.

[KuroBear]

Quickly shooing away Felix's hand, Takashi tries to explain clothing as best as he could, "We use it to cover our bodies. Unlike animals, humans had developed bigger brains with actual emotions and feelings, like embarrassment. We normally get embarrassed when our bodies are exposed to other people, so clothing covers up our bodies. It also makes each of us individual and it's a way of determining social class and personality. It also keeps us warm since we don't have fur." He steps over to his door and opens it up, always glad to see his room nice and organized, "And it's best you refrain from trying to take your hands underneath them... Please."

[Kotorichan]

Felix frowned at the humans words. He might not understand most of the things the human said, but he knew when he was being insulted. "I have actual emotions and feelings... I just don't have any use for clothes 'cause it would get in the way of stuff in the forest. What if I got caught on a bush while I was hunting? I would lose all my food! And prey would see the colors and run away, it wouldn't make sense" He glared at Takashi. "Just cause I'm different doesn't mean I'm dumb"

[KuroBear]

"I wasn't calling you dumb in the first place, Felix..." Sighing he looks up, "I'm just going back to what I learned about evolution and going to the fact you're technically a wolf." Takashi looks to the wolfboy and gives a little cheeky smirk, "And by the way, with the right clothing, your prey would actually have a harder time spotting you, rather than being completely naked. Wearing dark and light shades of green and brown will make you look exactly like a bush. Animals with bad eyesight won't even notic you even your stepped on a twig I bet. "

[Kotorichan]

Felix huffed, pouting like a small child. "Well your clothes wouldn't work..." He whined, tugging a bur out of his hair. "How am I supposed to know what other humans look like?" He looked up at Takashi. "My pack really hates humans... So all I know is what I've learned from watching you... But you don't do much so..." He lightly touched his torn ear with a frown. "Once I asked another member of my pack about humans and he attacked me and torn my ear..." He sighed and pulled another bur out of his hair.

He blinks a few times at the information, astounded my the severeness for something as harmless as curiosity, "Really? That's... that's not right," he closes the door behind him and lays back on it, "You really want to know about us humans? To me, I don't think we're that special. In fact, your pack has the right to hate us, we're like the assholes of the animal kingdom, but I can tell you about us. What would you like to know?" Smiling, he stands up straight again and goes to sit in his small swivel chair at his computer desk.
