Arumi didn't even notice the birds, they seemed to be trying not to fly too close to him. He continued to fly slowly as the sun set in the horizon. After just a few minutes a huge castle could be seen in the distance. It looked very impressive even from afar.

Damian was all covered with the clothes he'd gotten from the dragon - he was right, it was incredibly cold up there. His eyes widened when he saw the castle, staring at it in awe. "Woah..." He muttered without fully realizing it. The human looked around excitedly, his lips staying parted as he gazed at everything below him. How beautiful...

Arumi flew over the city of the dragons. Some of his people could be seen wandering around the streets, they only used flying for long distance trips so everyone was on the ground. Arumi landed on a balcony at the top of one of the towers in the castle and lowered himself to the ground to allow Damian to dismount.

Damian was in awe as they flew over the city, barely taking notice of the fact that they landed. He got off the dragon absentmindedly, still looking around curiously. "This is so unreal..." He muttered as he trailed his gaze over the city and the forest behind it. It simply took his breath away! "Is there any way you'd be able to give me a tour around sometime?"

"I'll try to, but I can't guarantee anything..." Arumi sighed and opened the door from his balcony to his bedroom. His room was huge with extremely tall ceilings, large enough for it to be spacious when he was in his dragon form. The walls were made of book shelves, packed with books and plants. There were more books and plants in piles all over the room and even on the huge bed in the corner. Arumi changed back to his human form and smiled at Damian. "Welcome to my home"

Damian tried to keep his hopes up, just nodding slightly when he heard Arumi's answer. "Yeah, that's fine." He said softly as he followed the dragon into his room... Which was huge. As in, huge. The brunet looked around, once again in awe. He blinked a few times, quietly walking over to one of the bookshelves, slowly trailing his finger over the covers of the books. "Wow, this is amazing..." He mumbled softly, clearly adoring the whole place.

"I have a few books in human languages... But most of what I have are in my people's tongue" Arumi wandered over to a large shelf of plants and began examining them one by one. "Ever since the war we've spoken a mix of human language and our own language... But it's very uncommon for anything to be written in human language." He looked over at Damian. "Feel free to look through them, although I should alert my family of your presence sooner rather than later"

"Can you teach me your language?" Damian asked as he turned back to the dragon, his hands just itching to go through all the books. After hearing that he should be shown to Arumi's family, the brunet let out a soft sigh, all excitement disappearing from his eyes. "Yeah... Okay." He muttered out quietly as he took a step towards the other. "I just want to get that over with. I guess I'll either be killed or seen as a pet."

"Just stay near me and don't say anything unless I say you can... Okay?" Arumi found a piece of rope and walked over to Damian. "I'm just going to tie this around your ankle, please hold still" he smiled and crouched down, tying it just tight enough for it to keep from falling off.

Damian watched sadly as the other tied the rope around his ankle, feeling as if he was an animal about to be taken into a zoo. "Yeah." He muttered quietly, his face barely showing any emotion, just like before. Being tied up, even if it was just his ankle, was horrible for him. He wanted to be free, he wanted to go wherever he wanted... He didn't want to be a pet, goddamit.

"Please don't look so sad..." Arumi said with a frown. "I'm not going to be leading you around with this, it's just so it looks like I can grab something if you run" He lightly touched the human's cheek. "You're only pretending to be a pet, you aren't really one..." He smiled sadly before pulling away and changing to his dragon form. "Ready?"

What he heard didn't change the fact that his freedom was taken from him. "I'm as ready as I can be for meeting dragons who all want me dead." The human sighed out as he took a step after Arumi, defeat on his face. If anything, it would just show the other's family what an obedient pet he really was. The brunet's hands shook slightly, nervousness showing itself at last.

Arumi gave the human a light bump with the tip of his nose, almost like a cat trying to nuzzle him. "I'll keep you safe" He stretched out one of his wings and used it to bring Damian closer to his body. He kept his wing around Damian and left his room. No one was around so he began to slowly make his way downstairs.

Damian nibbled on his bottom lip slightly, deciding to have at least some faith in Arumi. He just walked next to the dragon quietly, the only noises from him were his breathing and the rope sliding behind him. Although this place looked magical, what waited for him was a nightmare. Some time ago, he thought the only way he would get as close to a dragon was when he was trying to kill the beast. Guess he got a little bit more lucky...

Arumi led him down a long staircase and into another hallway. He stopped in front of a huge door which he knocked on. "" He called out in his native language.

The dragon inside let out a low growl before replying. ""

Arumi nudged the door open with his nose and stepped inside, ushering Damian along with his wing. His father was much larger than he was, his entire body and his eyes were pitch black.

((I'm just gonna use when he's speaking in the dragon's language, otherwise it's gonna get confusing))

Damian blinked a few times and lightly furrowed his brows when Arumi spoke in an unknown language. That's it, now I'm going to die. The thought flashed in his head as he sucked in a breath and stepped inside the room. The breath he'd sucked in all suddenly left him when he saw the gigantic beast, probably just thinking about the best way to kill him at the exact moment. His head dropped down, hesitant to look up again. He felt so small, he felt so goddamn small in front of this creature. He felt so weak.

The king narrowed his eyes as soon as he noticed Damian's presence. "

Arumi pulled Damian closer with his wing in a protective gesture. "" he leaned down and nuzzled the human with the tip of his nose. "You're not a threat, are you?" he asked with a grin.

Damian took a small step backwards when the beast got closer to him, feeling intimidated by the presence. When he was nuzzled by the other, the brunet flinched slightly and immediately shook his head. "N-no, I'm not." He muttered softly, his hands shaking. He really hoped he could stay alive... It was clear he was frightened with both of the dragons in the room with him. There was absolutely nothing he could possibly do.

Arumi turned back to his father with a smile. ""

The older dragon grunted and turned away. "" he grumbled.

"" Arumi used his wing to guide Damian out of the room. "He says you can stay" he told the human.

Damian was feeling more and more uneasy as time passed in the room. His fate was being decided right now... When he was led out, along with those words, the brunet couldn't believe it for a moment. He could live... He sucked in a sharp breath, feeling as if a heavy rock just got off his chest. He could live... The human looked up with slightly parted lips, his hands still shaking. "Really? I can actually live here?" He asked with a shaky voice.

"Of course, as long as you don't try to kill any of us" Arumi tried to joke. "Come on, let's go back to my room" he began to walk back upstairs. "You should probably get some sleep soon... You've had a long day haven't you?" He wasn't trying to sound condescending, but it did come out like he was talking to a child.

Damian let out a relieved sigh, shaking his head a little bit at the joke. "There's no way for me to kill a dragon." He muttered out quietly, frowning a little when he heard Arumi suggesting him to go and sleep. "I don't want to sleep yet." He said quietly, a little bit offended by the way the suggrstion sounded. It was as if he was a child! "Besides, where would I sleep anyway?" He asked, looking at Arumi with a troubled look.

"I think you could fit on one of my pillows, they're made for dragons" Arumi pushed the door to his room open with his nose. "Or if you'd like to share my bed with me then that would be fine, I just worry that I could roll over onto you and hurt you..." He stood back to let the human walk in.

Damian shook his head slightly, letting out a soft sigh. "I'll sleep on the pillow." He said simply as he stepped in. "Will you teach me your language?" The man asked as he turned around, looking at Arumi. "And... Could you turn into your human form?" He asked, already missing seeing a human. Or, well, something that looked like one.

"Of course" Arumi changed into his human form and smiled. "It would be strange to talk to my father in this form... But I prefer to talk to you like this so I'm not looking down at you" He climbed up onto his bed and patted the space next to him. "I'd love to teach you my language"
