Seiryuu could feel eyes on him, and he looks over at Ryo, who was gazing at him silently. Without another word, he bows, before his body starts to become transparent, almost looking as if there was a galaxy inside of him, as there were tiny specks of shimmering light in him. With a gust of eastern wind, his body changes to a near invisible dragon, and takes off, his long flowing body twisting and turning in the air, disappearing towards the east.

Byakko just stares after him, before answering Ryo. "The key is mine. But what goes to, you'll have to find out yourself, it goes along with the message. You're smart though, so I know you can figure it out." He smiles, stretching his arms over his head, nodding when Ryo says it was getting late. "I'm glad you thought it was interesting, but don't ever think you're bothering me, because you're not. And I thank you Ryo for allowing me to show you." He smiles back, before heading to stand beneath the Torii. "Well then, time to descend." He waits for Ryo, before starting to descend the stairs, a gush of wind putting the flames out from the candles and lanterns so the shrine grounds fall into pitch darkness, the only light being that of the moon, and the changes that had taken place revert back to normal.

Ryo stares at Seiryuu as he changed and took off into the night sky. "Wow... If I had to guess he's just like you then." he said as he was feeling a little weird. All of this was enough to send someone slightly insane. Yet he was feeling just confused and nervous. He no longer had any questions for Byakko as he wouldn't know where to begin. It all felt like just a really weird dream he couldn't wake up from.

His gaze drifted down at the key and note. He had only came up with two possibilities for what it could mean. He was tempted to ask the other but didn't. He honestly wasn't sure what he would do if either one of them were correct. He didn't want things to change between them despite that already happening now. Placing the items back in his pocket he slowly walked over to Byakko as they started down the stairs. He was beyond silent since he now had a lot on his mind.

"Yes, he is." Byakko says simply, nodding to the comment that Ryo had made. They descend the steps and after a while, eventually reach the bottom. Byakko pauses, looking at Ryo, a smile on his lips once more. "Thank you, once again, for coming tonight. It meant a lot to me that you did." He looks towards his house, across the street, then back to Ryo one last time. He felt terrible for making the other walk alone at night, but felt he would be intruding if he tried to offer the other an escort back to his house. So, instead...

"Um, are you sure you have to go back? Considering what time it is...why don't you just stay over tonight? I don't mind." He looks at the ground, nudging a rock with the tip of his toe. "But if you don't want to, I understand. It's fine. I just don't want you to get in trouble and all, you know?" Glancing up at Ryo, he waits for a reply, hoping that the other would accept his offer, but accepting the fact that he might not, considering his personality and all.

Ryo looked at the other and smiled. "Yeah no need to thank me. I was really looking forward to tonight anyway. I mean now I think I want to let you at least once but that might be weird." he said with a light chuckle. He found it interesting that Byakko was an actual tiger. Though he wasn't sure if this fully put his faith back in place. It did open his eyes however. He also felt a bit special to know Byakko felt comfortable enough to share this with him. He just didn't know why.

Once at the bottom, Ryo was prepared to head home. However he was given an offer which was surprisingly sweet. "Oh Byakko. You sure know how to toss that hospitality around. I'll take you up on it this time. However you sure are making things very confusing. I don't want to Take your kindness the wrong way." he mutters as he smiled little. Ryo already had a theory on why the other gave him that key and note. He was sure it was either to help him open up the world to religion once again. Or it could be more complex like the key to one's heart. Ryo felt it was the second idea in his head but he wasnt too sure.

Byakko tilts his head slightly, nit sure what Ryo was talking about when he said what he did. Deciding to just not think too much into it, he leads the other across the street and into the house. Once inside, he goes upstairs, making sure Ryo was following, and led him to the same room he'd used the other night. "Wait right here." He leaves the room, heading to his own, and when there he goes to his closet, pulling out a pair of pajamas he never wore anymore, and goes back to where Ryo was waiting.

He holds the pajamas out. "Here. You remember where everything is right? Would you like a cup of tea before going to bed? I just got some new Kyoto Green Tea." Smiling, he waits for an answer. Byakko sure was glad that Ryo had agreed to stay the night. For some reason, having another person in his house made him feel...different. Especially when it was Ryo.

Ryo followed the other down the rest of the steps and across the street. He was glad to be spending the night here again. He had to admit that being with Byakko was more enjoyable than anything in the world. Even if he hadn't found out such a secret like he did today. His mind was already consumed with tboughts of the male. Though feeling this way was something Ryo was best to keep to himself. He didn't want to freak Byakko out in any way.

Once inside he followed behind the other silently. When given the pajamas he smiled. "Thank you so much Byakko. I think I can manage to remember everything from last time." he said softly. "Tea sounds great!" he said really excitedly. Ryo blushed a little as he drew back his overjoy

A smile forms on his lips at Ryo's response, nodding at the rather adorable enthusiastic agreement to having some tea before they went to bed. He chuckles softly and goes to the door. "Alright. I'll be in the kitchen. Come down when you're done changing and getting ready to sleep." Leaving the room, he heads downstairs, and goes to make the tea, heating up water, getting cups out. When the water was boiling, he pours it into both cups, stirring the tea into it. The tea he'd gotten was a traditional kind, so it didn't need to seep. With that done, he sets the cups on the table, as well as a small tin of rice crackers.

Sitting on one of the two chairs at the kitchen table, he drinks some of his own tea as he waits for Ryo to join him. Thinking to himself, he recalls everything that had happened, and was glad it had turned out well. Except for when Ryo had passed out. Despite that minor setback, it went much better than he thought it would. Slipping his hand into his kimono, he scratches his skin gently, sighing at how good it felt. "Hm...I wonder what Ryo would say to me if I offered to let him live here...." He says this out loud, unaware that the other might hear him.

Ryo watched as Byakko went down towards the kitchen. He smiled to himself as he entered the room and closed the door. He then slowly started to change into the pajamas given to him. He felt a bit weird after putting them on. Sitting on the edge of the futon for a moment he thinks to himself. "I really do hope I am not a bother to him. He is so kind to me but at this rate I really will get the wrong idea. Maybe I should stop coming by so often. At least for a little while." he mutters to himself as he gets up and heads down for the tea.

As he approached the kitchen, Ryo overhears Byakko's words. He felt slightly frozen in place. He wasn't sure if he should say something or not. Trying to ignore the current feeling and emotions flowing in him; he walked over towards the table. "Oh my the tea smells amazing. I can't wait to try it. So tonight was full of surprises right. That other person sure was very interesting too." he said softly

Speaking of which, Ryo shows up. Byakko smiles at the comments, sliding the cup of tea towards him. "It not only smells good, but it tastes good too." He pauses, drinking from his own glass. "I'm glad you liked the night. At first it wasn't my intention to have him there, but then I decided it would be a good idea. Seiryuu I mean." He hoped it had been okay, since Seiryuu was deeply connected to Ryo's past.

Another pause, and he stares into his cup, before taking a deep breath and speaking up. "I've been thinking. I thought it would be a good idea, and since you seem to like it here more than your own home, but...um, how would you like to move in with me? You can use the room you've been using. For payment, you could help me at the shrine. Um, y-you don't have to answer now, just...think on it, okay? B-because I uh...I enjoy having you here. An empty house can get...pretty lonely at times." He looks up at Ryo, a nervous look on his face.

Ryo shook his head. "Its alright that he was there. I mean, I got a chance to see him again so it wasn't all too bad." he said softly. He slowly took a sip of the tea and smiled. "Wow!! This is really good. I should come here all the time for the best tea ever." he said excitedly. Though instantly drawing back noticing how excited he was. Ryo was really noticing how easily he let his actual self come forth around Byakko.

While drinking the tea, he noticed Byakko bringing up the comment he had overheard. His gaze lowers a little bit. "Your offer is an amazing one. I would love to accept it without any other thought in mind. However I would have to decline. I come from a house that isn't very welcoming. I wouldn't want them to come here and ruin this peaceful setting for you." he said as he sighs softly. His expression clearly depressed. Ryo really wanted to stay here with Byakko.

His heart sinks in his chest as he heard the answer, and quickly looks away, a pained expression on his face. "O-oh, um, th-that's okay...don't worry about it...it was just an idea..." His voice sounded forced, as if something was stuck in his throat, or his neck was being squeezed. Getting up from his chair, he walks to the sink, and washes his glass, trying to tell himself to be rational. He had a feeling that it would end up like this, getting a decline from Ryo, but he couldn't stop himself from half wishing the answer would have been acceptance.

"Um...w-well, it's uh...getting late, so I'm going to go...to bed now... " He dries the cup, and puts it away, drying his hands on a towel, and turns to face Ryo, forcing a smile on his face. "Well, good night." He bows quickly, and leaves the kitchen, heading quickly to his room, and retreating inside, flopping down on his pile of blankets and pillows that served as a bed. Sighing, he runs his hand through his hair. "I'm so stupid...." He mutters, staring up at the ceiling, before beginning to sing softly, his voice drifting through the house, the song melancholic and heart stirring. It was a traditional song from long ago that was sung to him by monks, priests, and other holy people, as well as the patrons and believers who revered him.

Ryo averts his gaze as he could tell his words hurt Byakko. He was silent as he watched the other stand to wash the dishes. He didn't know what to say. He was only looking out for the other and his scared place. He loved to come here to escape his family. To live here would be a dream come true. However that was impossible at the moment. His gaze moved over towards Byakko as he slowly left to go to bed. Ryo felt seriously bad about this.

Once he was sure Byakko was in his room, he stood from the table and went up to the room he would be using. He changed back into the clothes he was wearing before and folded the pajamas neatly. He then went downstairs to the kitchen and left a note beside the tea cup. He thanked Byakko for everything and apologized for causing him to make such a sad face. Once that was finished he left the house and headed back home despite it being so late

As he sang, something didn't feel right. He gets up, and first goes to the bedroom, noticing the pajamas, the rushes downstairs, spotting the note. Reading over it quickly, he grits his teeth. Clenching the note in his hand, he hurries from the house, and heads in the direction of where he guessed Ryo was heading. And sure enough, there he was. "Ryo! Wait!" Yelling out to him. Byakko, runs up to him, and reaches out, grabbing Ryo's shoulder to keep him from going further.

"Hey, don't do this. It's not safe." He stares at Ryo's face. "Yes, I'm disappointed you declined, but that doesn't mean you need to take off, feeling guilty." He waves the letter. "I never wanted you to feel bad. You have reasons to say no, and I was being selfish. So please, come back to the house. You can leave in the morning if you want to. If you still want to go home...then let me walk you there at least. Okay?" His eyes were shining, a serious look on his face, his hand still on Ryo's shoulder.

Ryo walked down the road until he heard someone calling out to him. His gaze drifts back as he noticed it was Byakko. He stopped in his tracks as the other reached out to stop him. He wasn't sure what to say to this. He gave a light chuckle trying to hide his actual emotions at the moment. "You really chased after me. This feels like something out of a romantic movie." he said knowing that wasn't why the other came after him.

Letting out a sigh he placed his hand upon Byakko's. "I'll come back so don't worry about it. In truth I wouldn't want to ever leave your place if I had more of a personal say to this." he said as he moved to stand beside the other. He gave a smile as he started to walked back towards the tiger's place. "You sure make me wish I wasn't a guy." he said more to himself than Byakko

When Byakko felt the hand upon his own, his skin tingles just slightly. He had no idea what Ryo had meant when he'd mentioned feeling like this was something out of a romantic movie, he never really watched movies. In fact, he'd never SEEN one. But he doesn't say anything about, and simple smiles when Ryo said he'd come back, and not to worry. The words were comforting, hearing Ryo said if he had a choice, he'd stay with him. But the comment that was made as they were walking back to the house, threw him off for a loop. Even though he was sure Ryo had been talking to himself, Byakko had heard him, making him wonder.

"Well, maybe I can help you out. If you really do want to live with me, I can talk to your mother and explain things to her." He had a few ideas up his sleeve, knowing she was the one who had called upon the gods and celestial spirits to protect her family. With that in mind, he knew she could not refuse the offer he would give her. They reach the house, and go back inside, and without even thinking, Byakko reaches out and pulls Ryo into a hug. "I'm glad I got to you in time. Who knows what could have happened? And since Seiryuu isn't here...it's my duty to protect you. Plus...I'm doing this because I want to." He let's go, and backs away, a faint blush on his cheeks. Out of his own selfish desires he'd gone after Ryo. Standing there, he stares at the floor, beneath his bare feet, before looking up at Ryo, his icy blue eyes almost melting with warmth and caring for the male across from him. "I-I'm sorry I don't know what c-came over me..."

"You can have fun trying. I am sure if my family is all there they will make it sound like your taking in a triple threat criminal. However if you wish to try I won't stop you. Maybe they will agree to me staying at your place." he said with a chuckle. He had no idea what would happen if Byakko went to talk to his mother. Ryo himself had no idea how she felt about anything after his father passed. So if speaking to her could help him stay with Byakko, he wouldn't pass up the chance. It was his only glimmer of hope at the moment.

As they arrived back at the house, Ryo was caught off guard by the sudden hug from Byakko. He wasn't sure whether to be embarrassed or happy. He looked at the other once he had let go. "Uh, no need to apologize. If you happy then show it. I mean it not like I would get mugged or anything. I'm a guy walking home alone." he said trying not to blush. "Although I wish you hadn't pulled away just now. It felt nice being embraced like that. Haven't gotten hugs in years. I almost forgot what one felt like." Ryo said

The response wasn't what he'd expected he'd get after the random hug he'd given to Ryo. A soft smile forms on his lips, as he reaches out and hugs him again, this time not letting go. "It's been a long time for me too. So long, I've forgotten what it feels like to embrace and be embraced." It had, in fact, been over a century, since he'd had such physical contact like this. It felt nice, to touch another being other than a handshake, or brief contact. "It's been...far too long."

After a long moment, he pulls away, his cheeks now bright pink. "W-well...it's getting late so...We should both get some sleep. Big day tomorrow...Though if you want to talk...I'll be more than willing. Just come to my room." Even though he said this, he knew, without a doubt in his mind, Ryo's mother would have no choice but to agree. Leading the way up the stairs, he bids Ryo good night at the door to the bedroom, before heading to his own, going inside and making his way to his "bed". Sighing, he changes to his natural form, and lays down, curling up on the blankets, resting his head on his paws, his tail curled around him, the fluffy tip gently laying over the top of his nose. His mind wanders to Ryo, half hoping the other would join him.

Ryo smiled as Byakko hugged him again. He actually warmed up to it and gently wrapped his arms around the other. It felt really nice to embrace the other. He let the moment melt into him as he wanting every second to count. His gaze drifting to the side as their bodies separated. "Yeah it is getting late. I suppose going to bed is the logical solution." he said as he followed Byakko up the stairs. Once by the room he was going to be in, he said good night to the male. After that he entered and closed the door behind him

Ryo changed back into the pajamas that were still neatly folded. After that he silently tip-toed towards Byakko's room. He was going to knock but didn't want to wake the male if he was already asleep. Slowly opening the door he could see a tiger laying down inside. His mind still shocked by this but he wasn't frightened. He walked inside quietly and sat beside the tiger. He found Byakko so captivating like this. He gently lays his head close to his and closed his eyes.

He doesn't open his eyes as he hears the door open, and feet crossing the floor to stop by him, his ear just flicking a bit. In fact, as Ryo first sits, then lays down next to his large body, he curls around him, his body heat and soft silky fur being more than enough to keep Ryo warm. His tail rests gently by the other, their heads close. After a moment, Byakko begins to purr in content, the sound low and soft, and comforting in a way. He was, for the first time in a long time, truly happy. Moments later, he drifts off to sleep, a quiet purring still coming from him.

The night went by too quickly, and soon enough, it was morning, the sun shining on Byakko's furry back, warming it nicely. Somehow in the middle of the night, Baykko had moved to lay on his side, and now Ryo was laying close to his stomach, the fur a bit longer in that location. One of Byakko's paws rested gently around Ryo's shoulders, his chin brushing against the top of Ryo's head. His other arm was beneath Ryo. The whole thing looked like a tiger holding a human like a stuffed animal. His tail had moved to wrap around one of the other's legs. He breathed deeply and slowly, and as his fur warmed even more, he began to purr again. Byakko didn't want to move, it was just too comfortable.

Ryo continued to sleep well into the morning. He was sure morning had come when he felt extra warmth. Little did he know that warmth wasn't from the rays of sunlight drifting in. Slowly opening his eyes he saw a spread of white fur before him. It took his mind a moment to realize it was animal fur. Being half asleep, he cuddled into the fur more. After about another second or so he realized the fur was moving. His hand shifting gently to noticed the movement caused by breathing. This caused him to freak out a little. Ryo inched back only to noticed he was extra close to a tiger.

His gaze on the tiger for another moment before his eyes looked around the room. "Byakko....? This is his room so this must be him?" he said helping his half sleep thoughts catch up with reality. He calmed down as he inched back closer to the other. "For a moment there I was thinking you were going to eat me or I was still dreaming." he said not sure if the other was awake. This was something he knew would take a moment to get use to
