Arekushisu
Eric smiled softly as he watched Kris easily pick up the bag, he laughed softly and walked out carrying the other one and pulled the door to behind him turning and locking it all the while trying to hide the hand which was hurt. He didnt think Kris had seen it, nor had he smelled it or he would have said something. He smiled and ran down to the trunk tossing the other bag into the back before going to the front and getting into the passenger seat. He hummed lightly to himself under his breath tucking the injured hand under his thigh. When the car didnt move he knew he was caught, he looked up as he felt Kris's cold grip on his hand and he tried to pull away uttering a protest but he stopped cold as Kris looked up at him, his eyes seeming to tell him not to all on their own. He looked down and he sighed softly about to say somethign to make the excuse as to why he had done it but he didnt need to. Kris didnt ask for an explanation and he didnt seem to want one. He looked up watching Kris as he gently held onto Eric's hand. Eric's trust in Kris was something he would never break, and as he pulled his hand up to his face and ran his tongue over the cuts, Eric was none the least scared. Instead he blushed and looked away from Kris, the slightest touch felt wonderful, the stinging pain that had exploded in his knuckles was now dulled and almost unnoticeable and he loved it. Rather, he loved that Kris had actually touched him...he looked away and smiled soflty nodding, "Thank you..." he said gently before pulling his hand up to his chest. He then sat back into his chair and fastened his seat belt, he rested his head against the car door and he watched as the same scenery passed the window. He sighed lightly trying to keep his mind off of everything that was going on around him and he tried to focus on the one thing he shouldnt do, cry. He closed his eyes and he curled his legs up into the chair with him, silently he started to drift off into sleep as the ride went on. He would wake when he felt the car jerk to a stop and or Kris woke him up from his sleep.
~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
From the corner of his eye as he drove, Kristopher saw that Eric had dozed off, and a small smile forms on his lips, before focusing once more on the road in front of the car, slowing down a little bit, wanting to just enjoy the quietness of the ride, and the time he was spending with Eric, despite the human being asleep. Even though the human was not awake, Kristopher simply enjoyed being with him, being near the other was good enough for Kristopher. Sighing softly, he lowers the volume of the music in the car, so it was just above like a soft whisper, and turns the air conditioning on low. Sadly though, the ride had to come to and end, and they reach Noctis' house, Kristopher pulling up into the drive and parking the car, turning it off before unbuckling and then gently nudging the sleeping Eric. "Hey, we're here. Time to get going..." Getting out of the vehicle, he opens the trunk and pulls out Eric's things, and heads to the front door, setting them down to knock on the door, glancing towards Eric when the other comes up as well. It didn't take a second knock this time for the door to open, Noctis standing there, a faint smile on his lips. "Come on in...We will take your stuff up later, okay?" He glances quickly at Eric, before turning away, not wanting to upset the human again like he'd done before. They go inside, and make their way to the living room again, though this time Kristopher does not sit down. "I have to get going in about an hour or so." Kristopher says, clasping his hands behind his back, looking first to Noctis, who nods, then to Eric. "I'll hang out here for a bit longer, then I need to leave. I promise I'll be back, and I promise I'll be safe. I trust Noctis, he's reliable." At this, Noctis looks away, a faint blush forming on his cheeks. Kristopher moves closer to Eric, and suddenly pulls him into a hug, holding him close, embracing him in such a loving way it was obvious how deeply Kristopher cared for the human, how much this parting hurt him, like it did Eric. Worse even... "I'm sorry..." He whispers, finally breaking and tears began to form, falling quietly down his cheeks as he buried his face softly against Eric's neck, his breath warm against the exposed skin. But he did nothing that a vampire would do, instead he just enjoyed being close, wanting to memorize Eric's scent, to feel him, to always be able to remember the way the human molded to himself. "I'm so sorry..." A tear drop falls to Eric's neck, then another follows. Seeing this, Noctis backs away, and lets them be alone for a bit, not wanting to bother them in their parting. Arekushisu
Eric curled up against the car door, his eyes were closed but he didn't fall asleep exactly till after the music had been turned down to a dull whisper. Once he did fall asleep however he had no dreams just black, nothingness like his dreams seemed to be lately. The soft cruise of the car made him sleep soundly and he didn't need anything but the sound of the air conditioner buzzing and Kris's breathing to put him to sleep. Sadly however as the car stopped he was roused from his black dreams to see Kris already out of the car. He sighed softly and sat up rubbing his eyes before unbuckling his seatbelt. He looked out at the house and he sighed fighting back the tears that welled up in his eyes making his chest hurt. He slid his hand to the car door and he opened it. He walked slowly to the door and looked at Kris a moment before the door was opened. He smiled softly at Noctis and then walked in after the rest of them. He made his way to the living room like before and he sat down sighing softly running a hand through his hair noticing his knuckles were completely healed. He kept silent as Kris started to talk about his plans and such but what he didn't expect was a hug from Kris. He blushed lightly and he gently hugged him gently running a hand through his hair. It took him a moment to notice that Kris was crying, he paused a moment and he kisses his head. "Kris...it's okay Kris..." He said softly hushing him lightly as he watche Noctis leave. Eric paused a moment and he smiled at him as a thank you and he pulled Kris closer down onto the couch he sat on almost on top of his lap. "Don't worry about me okay? I'm okay..." He said softly and he pulled back wiping Kris's eyes before smiling gently tears welling up in his own eyes. "I trust you Kris and i know that you are doing this for us...to keep me safe not because you don't want me...I-it hurts yea but I can see it's hurting you too..I'm sorry I was selfish and I didn't understand that this was hurting you as much as it was me.." He said softly pushing the hair out of his lovers face. "I'm sorry Kris you shouldn't apologize for my selfish behavior...I know you'll come back to me.." He smiled through his tears and hugged him hard wrapping his arms around his neck and holding onto Kris like he would never see him again.
~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
Hearing Eric console him, hearing the that were said to him helped calm him down, and the gentle touch on his face, those fingers that wiped away the tears that fell, a gift. He shakes his head at the apologies, not wanting Eric to blame himself, not wanting to make the other feel guilty. Everything would be fine, he knew it would. It had to be, or else he doubted he would ever be able to forgive himself. The second embrace was a bit more calming, and he sighs softly, the tears ceasing eventually. He knew he didn't have much time left, but he didn't want to go. Not now...however, he did not have that choice, because if he had, he wouldn't be going in the first place. Time seemed to fly by, as they just stayed within each others arms, and before Kristopher new it, the hour was up, and he had to leave. Slowly he gets up from the couch, a sad expression on his face, a small frown now tugging at his lips. "I...have to get going. I promise you...I will return." He couldn't bear it anymore, and with a simple good bye, a quick kiss on Eric's lips, and he turns around, leaving the house, wiping away the tears that were once more starting to fall. If he'd stayed any longer, he doubted he would have been able to leave Eric, and skipped out on what he needed to do. Driving to the airport, he parks his car, locks it, and from there on does what anyone does when boarding a plane. Sitting in his seat, the last thing that runs through his mind before he drifts off to sleep was of Eric, and looking forward to the moment he could look at the human without any fear of losing control, and to the times they would spend together from there on. A soft sigh escapes his lips, and he closes his eyes, his mind completely blank as his consciousness falls away, and sleep overcomes him. Noctis waits a little while before going into the room where Eric was now sitting alone. Standing in the doorway, he looks to the human, but only for a short while, before staring at the floor. "Are...you alright?" He murmurs, though loud enough so Eric could hear him. He knew how hard partings were, as he'd had to endure plenty himself. "If you'd like...I'll take you to your room so you can get some rest...and then maybe if you're up to it later, we can talk and I'll show you around the house?" Biting his bottom lip, he wonders if the human would just brush him off, or would actually talk to him.
Arekushisu
Eric felt that Kris was finally letting him in some, the small hug that he got back and then the tighter one after that helped. He was happy he was able to do this for Kris and it helped alot that he was able to see Kris just as upset as he was for it showed he was not the only one hurting and it gave him the courage to do what he needed. He rubbed his head and shoulders and his back as well. Sadly he knew what was coming when he felt the time passing, the sooner and sooner the departure came the more and more he dreaded it. Tears started to stream down his face as Kris pulled away from him, and his hands moved to pull him bac down but the words coming out of Kris's mouth made him stop. He stood and nodded, "Y-yea...I love you...stay safe.." he said softly kissing him back softly before he collapsed back down onto the couch. The pain didnt wait to take over him, before Kris even left the drive he was crying hard. His knees were pulled up against his chest and the sobs kept coming. He was lonely, already, he was before because of how cold Kris would be to him but now that he was absent completely it was like he had been stabbed multiple times in the chest by a large knife. He jumped when he heard Noctis speak and he weakly looked up at him his tears pausing a moment before he stood and walked to the white haired boy. "I-i'm not okay...p-please.." he held out his hand and he looked down wanting the male to take him to his room. "I-i cant really see well...could y-you guide me...then maybe...stay with me..till I fall asleep...?" he said weakly almost like he was a child and he moved closer to Noctis but he still didnt touch him. Small hiccups came from his lips as his chest heaved his eyes red and angry as he wiped them with the hand that wasnt outstretched to the male. He was frightened to sleep, he didnt want to alone, he would ask him to stay wth him till the time was right where he was asleep then the male could leave. He would probably wake up moments after from a nightmare but it mattered to him that Noctis or someone stayed with him till he had fallen asleep. He had been lonely before but never had he had a feeling like this one and never did he want to die over and over again to make it stop. His lip quivered as he sucked it into his mouth biting it weakly as he turned his face up looking at the male his eyes watery and spilling over again and again, "I-I promised him I would be strong...dont tell him I'm not okay...o-okay..?" he asked weakly and smiled a soft smile that easily vanished from his lips. ~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
"Um..." Noctis wasn't sure what to say at this point, seeing the human acting like this was a bit...off. He and Kristopher had spoken, the vampire having told him a few things about Eric, and from what he'd been told, the other supernatural being had been completely correct. This was going to be tough... "Right, let's go...Um, I'm not sure if it would be wise if I stayed in your room though..." He replies, a bit put off by the complete childishness of this guy. He'd been through stuff similar to this, and he'd not acted the total baby about it. How old was Eric? 17 right? And yet here he was, blubbering like a two year old who had just been left at a daycare...Totally unattractive. However, unlike Kristopher, Noctis does not look away, trying to keep the thoughts from the human at bay, focusing instead on the sadness he felt. "I promise I will not tell him." He leads the way to the bedroom, walking slowly, just in case, to be careful. "Um, I apologize for the way the room is. All of my rooms are a bit dark, but maybe if you want, some time we can like, go out and buy some stuff to brighten it up, yeah?" He was trying to distract Eric from the bad thoughts and feelings running through him, which Noctis could sense and feel and hear, trying to make it so the human could rest easy. "Alright, here we are..." He opens a door revealing a rather nice looking room, that was indeed done in quite dark colors. Blacks, greys, and blues were the color, the only light coming from candles and a window. "Um, well, your stuff is...uh...there..." He points to a corner where his things were indeed sitting, where Noctis had placed them earlier while Eric and Kristopher had been saying there good byes. "I hope you'll start feeling better soon..." He shifts slightly where he stood, offering the human a smile, revealing teeth similar to Kristopher's when he was in his 'vamp mode'. However, instead of just two fangs, one on each side, he had two, one slightly longer than the other on either side, and a slightly smaller set on the bottom. (instead of light color it's actually darker, the floor is like black and everything else is a dark color.)
Arekushisu
Eric stood easily and he nodded letting his arm fall to his side and he smiled gently looking up at Noctis, "Thank you...for taking me in...I promise I would be a mess the entire time of my stay...I'm actually fun when I have something to keep my mind off of this...I'm just worried he wont be okay..." he said softly and leaned his head to the side brushing his hair out of his face. He followed Noctis trying to rein in his tears that seemed to have just burst out of him for no reason. He tried everything in him, telling himself he was pathetic and weak just like kris had done, telling himself he was acting like a child to rein in his tears. Finally by the time they had made it up to the room his tears were almost unnoticeable other than his red and puffy eyes. A soft smile covered his lips, hiding everything he knew Noctis could hear, "Ohhh Its beautiful.." he said walking into the room and he looked around letting his fingers touch the fabric of the bed lightly. "why is it unwise to let you stay with me...? I thought we could talk...I dont plan on eating...I feel I have no appetite." he said gently and sat on his bed running a hand through his hair. "I kind of...wanted to know the explanation as to what you were..and why you couldn't block out my thoughts...I apologize for that as well I bet they are horrible right now.." He said a shy smile on his face. "Will you be eating anytime soon? I'll accompany you to dinner if you want...just I would prefer not to eat tonight.." he said gently and sat up looking around the room at his things. "Thank you so much for bringing my stuff up here! I could of done that you didnt need to do that.." he said sheepishly trying to keep his tears at bay. He looked back at Noctis noticing his smile which made him mirror it. He would try and make the best of everything, he himself had a deep past that made him weak and he tried his hardest to be stronger but, it was something he needed to work on but he would try. ~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
"Well, it is...unwise that I stay when you are sleeping. While you are awake, me staying is okay." He smiles again, and glances around the room, his focus slightly landing upon the human, but not completely. Noctis felt relieved that Eric liked the room, most would consider it to be gloomy and depressing, but from the way the human had responded to it, he was pretty sure that Eric was okay with staying in this room. He then sits down in the seat that was placed slightly from the bed, crossing his legs on the seat underneath him. Hearing the apology, Noctis waves his hand slightly from side to side, dismissing the whole situation. "Do not worry. It is okay, now we know what happens, yes?" He glanced to the belongings of the human, and smiles once more. "Ah, you're welcome. And, as of this moment, I am not hungry. And even if I was...it would probably be best if you didn't come with me when I ate..." Glancing towards the window, where weak sunlight was coming through, he scratches the back of his neck absently, as he tried to think of how to start his explanation to Eric about what he was. But, the more he thought, the more difficult it became, so he decided to just go out on a limb and just tell the human. "So, um, about what I am. I am what is known as a ghoul. Even among my kind, I am quite special, as not every ghoul has the ability to 'hear' thoughts and emotions. So even if I wanted to ask another ghoul to try and help me try to find a way to retain this, I couldn't find one. Not to mention my kind aren't very social amongst one another. Except for certain occasions, we tend to stay away from each other, unless we have certain ties to each other, like family, friends, the like. And very rarely to we befriend other creatures like ourselves, but there are exceptions. Like myself and Kristopher." He pauses, letting this all sink in to the human's mind before continuing. "I'll touch lightly on food. I can not eat human food, as it makes me terribly sick. The only things I can eat and actually stand are certain fruits, but even that can be hard at times. The only thing I can eat...are, um...well...never mind. You...probably wouldn't want to know that." He knew that Eric had Kristopher, who was a vampire, but there was a difference between drinking blood, and what he did. "Well...that is about all I can tell you...There are some things that I cannot tell anyone, especially a human. I am sorry."
Arekushisu
Eric smiled softly to Noctis happy that he had just brushed off his apology and he got comfortable on the blue mattress. He was more than happy with the room, it wasn't what he usually liked but the colors blended well and he enjoyed the mixture of them. He thought it was a nice change to his normal grey room that he always had and he enjoyed the small color in his life all together. He looked over Noctis as he sat next to him or rather across from him and he started to suck in a breath. He tilted his head and he blushed lightly as he noticed he was nervous or rather fighting for words. Eric didn't know how to make it any easier on Noctis or how to really help him tell him what he needed to but he simply sat up and he smiled softly listening. He nodded when he needed to letting the words sink into his mind as he studied the man before him, he kept looking outside every so often and he dropped hints here and there. "Noctis...You can tell me...I'm alright. Plus, I'm curious.." He said softly his eyes resuming their look of interest that he had when he had been learning about Kris and he laughed softly. "What do you eat Noctis? Kris drinks blood...and I mean I don't have a weak stomach so you can tell me.." he said gently tilting his head in a cute way without really meaning to. "I would like to talk to you till I get tired if that is alright with you? Before I sleep I'll have you leave since you seem to be so nervous to stay with me till after I fall asleep...and letting me eat with you...but really I am curious and interested in what you use those teeth of yours for...they aren't like Kris's..." he said peering at Noctis and at his lips getting kind of closer. "So, like all foods you cant eat? That sucks...did you ever have them before? Like...were you human before and had the chance to taste them..? or have you never had it...so you cant miss the taste?" he asked pulling his legs into a criss cross sliding his hands into his lap shivering lightly as he got a chill. He was really curious as to what Noctis was trying to tell him, his diet was something he didn't want to let him in on, which he accepted his privacy and he would respect it but he would still ask at least once. And he was still a stranger but Eric believed that being with a stranger was better than being alone at the moment. The mans teeth were abnormal and he wanted to know how and why they were there, he knew that he could probably find stuff on the internet and in books about these so called 'ghouls' but he would rather have Noctis tell him. ~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
Despite what Noctis had told the human, it seemed that Eric was still curious, not acting how the ghoul had expected him to act. Well, he guess that was to be kept in at least some consideration, since Eric Was dating a vampire after all. It shouldn't come as a surprise, not even a little bit. But what really made him think about this human was the fact that he wanted to know more, not showing any bit of fear in the lack of knowledge, or even a tiny edge of caution, as if he didn't care what kind of things he head, gruesome or not. For a moment he looks at Eric, though not completely, before shifting his gaze away, biting the inside of his cheek thinking of what he could tell the other, because he truly did not want Eric to end up hating him... "I'm not sure if you would WANT me to tell you what I eat..." He murmurs, twisting his hands lightly in his lap, once more chewing the inside of his mouth, trying to piece the right words together. Before he could really say anything else Eric speaks up again, mentioning how he wanted Noctis to stay and talk to him until he was tired, going on to say he was curious as to what his teeth were for, considering how alike and yet so different they were from Kristopher's. Questions follow, and Noctis couldn't help but to smile a tiny bit, humans were indeed such curious creatures. Always wanting to learn, to know things. "I...wasn't always this...Nie...I was once human. But if it wasn't for how I am not, I would be dead. I've had food, I've tasted it's sweetness, and even in that brief flight of light, I can still somehow remember the taste of strawberry cheesecake and ice cream. You could say I miss it, but I'm grateful to be alive now, so in all words...I'm happy with just the memory of those times. I'm alive now, so I can make new memories." He was avoiding answering the very first question that was asked of him, pretty sure that Eric wasn't quite ready to hear what ghouls ate. It was slightly different among his kind as to quality, but what it was, the source, was always the same... Turning slightly in the chair he was sitting in, he once more looks at Eric, raising his eyes to the human's face, trying hard not to listen to the thoughts running through the others' mind. Yet, try as he might, he still heard them, those thoughts of how he, Noctis, was a stranger, but for Eric it was better than being alone at that moment. Quickly he looks away, and takes a deep breath, letting it out slowly. "Um, well...I...What about you? I wonder, have you always been so curious about creatures like vampires and the like?" Arekushisu
Eric noticed that Noctis was trying to avoid the question of what he ate and he let it drop smiling to the male. He was still overly curious as to what it was that Noctis was so frightened to tell him. He tilted his head and listened intently as the male in question spoke of how he remembered human food and the sweet pleasure in eating it. He giggled lightly to himself at the cheesecake part and he looked up at Noctis, "I didn’t see you as a sweets guy...even if it was when you were human I would assume you wouldn't be too keen on sweets." he laughed again and he leaned back on the bed onto his hands. He resumed his quiet listening pattern as he watched Noctis chew at his mouth and he frowned slightly but said nothing. He didn't want to push the man to tell him about him, if he really didn't want to talk about it then he didn't have to. Eric had always been curious, overly curious, thats why he is where he is now. He didn't leave when Kris told him to, he didn't scream and run away in fear when his teeth sank into him. Sure it was frightening and it hurt but he wasn't scared of Kris, he trusted him to stop before he drank too much of him and or hurt him because he got too excited. Noctis was however, very closed off and didn't seem to warn him about any dangers he may present so Eric felt perfectly comfortable with the stranger. "I'll drop it Noctis...heh you feel that I can not take the knowledge and I don't like forcing! So, I'll leave your diet alone." he giggled softly and then he ran a hand through his hair at the question directed at him. He blinked surprised and he looked over at him again blushing lightly, he had kind of a hard time talking about himself but as he started playing with his fingers he sighed. "I've always been really...different. The kids in my school worry about who is popular or who is fucking who and I'm more into the old ways..." he said blushing darker. "It's really lame...I love old books and when I was younger my mother would have all these fairytales she would tell me about fairies and elves and woodland creatures of the sorts. So, I became curious of the supernatural and abnormal world that you and Kris live in but little did I know that it was real." He bit his lip and he looked away to the window, "My mother always had an open mind...always hoping for those stories to come true because I wanted it so much she started to want it. Books became my best friends, I drowned in the words of old literature bringing up differnt lore about the supernatural beings which live in this world with me. I'm just curious...my mother never told me why she had all the books..not just the fairy tales but the knowledgable books on vampires and the likes. However, I never saw anything about a ghoul.." he said gently looking up at Noctis. "After my mother passed...I took all the books she had left behind hiding them from my father..." he said his mind running to the fight he and his father had about his mothers things. He had wanted to burn them, everything, old pictures and books anything that had his mothers hands on them. He wouldn't let it happen screaming at his father that he wanted nothing more than to keep the small part of his mother that she had left him, and thats when the beatings started. That night was the first night he had ever been hit by his father, it was only a slap at first for opening his mouth. But as the months and years passed they grew progressively rough and turned into massive beatings that left him with bruises and bloodied up face for days. He wasn't allowed to go to school as he healed for his father knew if anyone found out about it that he would be but away for abusing his child. However, now that his father looked at him he didn't even seem to see his son anymore he saw nothing but a punching bag. Eric pulled himself out of his thoughts his eyebrows scrunching up and he looked at Noctis, "I'm sorry...for my thoughts right now. I know you can read them...and I'm sorry that I can't some how stop it for you.." he said feeling almost guilty for reliving that entire thing in his mind completely forgetting that Noctis could hear everything. ~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
Noctis listens intently to what the human had to say, but hadn't been expecting for Eric to fall silent and mentally remember such horrible memories, and because they were such strong emotions, Noctis saw them, heard them, clear as day. The mental image drew him in, and he couldn't pull away, and before he knew it he was completely zoned out in the world of reality, as his sou, or what was left of it, becomes lost in the movie of the human's mind. When this happens his face becomes blank, and his eyes completely fade over, becoming a pure white color, as if the iris and pupil had completely disappeared. It hurt, this sensation, it was as if he was living the others pain as he saw what was going on inside Eric's mind, he felt every punch, every would, every slap in the face. Heard every yelled word of drunken hatred and bitterness, saw the tears that fell, felt their wetness on his own skin. This agony came from not having been able to feel these things for so long, from being dragged into a world he no longer experienced, and now was being forced to have those sensations again, as if he was once more human. It was all just a mere moment, but it felt like an eternity, and as it ended, he snaps back to reality once again, blinking as he once more was in the bedroom with Eric, and not in a memory. His eyes become normal again, and the sounds gradually becoming clearer to his ears. He only heard the last bit of what Eric said to him, but pretty much got what the other was saying in the most part, and looks away, his heart pounding like a drum, and it felt as if he'd run a marathon, breathing hurt and his whole body ached. A sweat drop falls slowly down the side of his face, disappearing as it reaches the corner of his chin. "It's fine...don't apologize...there really isn't anything you can do, it's just who I am..." He takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly, trying to calm himself. It had been quite some time since he'd had an experience like that, becoming lost within a memory. This was one of the main reasons he really didn't go out that often, and when he did he tried to avoid coming in contact with too many people. For him, and his unique ability, it was best to stay hidden away, where he didn't have to worry about that kind of thing, being discovered by humans, and worrying what they might do. He looks up then, glancing at the window, which was slowly becoming darker as the sun was no longer shining brightly, clouds becoming denser in the sky. It looked as if a storm was about to hit from the darkness of the clouds, and he sighs once more. "It looks like it's going to rain..." He murmurs out loud, not really talking to Eric, but just speaking to distract his mind from what he'd seen. "Well, anyways...I..." He lightly scratches the back of his head, now unsure what to say. "I um...never mind. I don't even know what I was trying to say. Sorry. So, I know you're not hungry, but would you like anything to drink? I could make some tea to help you relax..." Arekushisu
Eric felt horrible, he watched at Noctis's behavior completely changed and he became still and unmoving. He blinked and tears threatened to form as he watched the same thing he had that same morning with Kris take place before him once again. Noctis seemed to have pulled himself from the reality they were living in at that moment and pulled himself to his own world. His eyes were a ghostly white, clouded over with a filmy like look. He was frightened once more and he was tempted to get off the bed and run to the male an shake him try anything to bring him back to the world they lived however, before he had the chance to do anything Noctis came back and he said something and he nodded lightly. "I know I can't do anything...but I could try and refrain from thinking about such horrible things...you really shouldn't have to look at all that.." he said gently and rubbed his head sighing softly. He watched the man before him sweating and such looking out the window and talking more to himself. "Is it?" he asked and hopped down from the bed and looked out the window smiling lightly that it was going to rain. He half heard what Noctis was saying and he looked over at him smiling lightly, "Yea! I would love to have some tea...it may help my mind slow down a bit." he said gently and looked away from Noctis. "Then I'll go to sleep so I don't talk your ear off all night." he giggled softly and walked to the small shelves in his room his fingers running across them a moment before looking back at Noctis. He was surprised that he had told him so much, he had expected Noctis to not say anything of his origin or his race but he was more than happy to listen. He was interested, his mind still wondered what he ate, and where Kris had met him at. He also questioned the boys ability to read minds, and why he couldn't turn it off at all. He wished to understand just like he did with kris but even he couldn't understand kris even now. He still thought about Kris but the painful hurt that echoed into his chest was silenced for the moment as he kept his mind busy talking to Noctis. He was more than happy for the distraction and he absolutely loved it. He thanked Noctis for that...if he hadn't talked to him he would still be bawling and missing Kris worrying about where he was and what he was doing. And that wasn't healthy for him or Noctis either, he kept himself strong so the man before him didn't have to listen to his horrible thoughts and pain in his chest from Kris's absence. ~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
Noctis nods lightly, and unfolds his legs, getting up from the chair he was sitting in to cross the room, heading towards the doorway. Glancing back, he heard the questions and thoughts in the humans mind, but it wasn't anything too harsh or important, so brushes it aside. All that showed that he'd heard them was a small smile that grew on his lips, amused at Eric's curiosity. This was one interesting human, that was for sure. He had a feeling they would get along quite well, however the only problem was the whole memory thing that he hoped wouldn't have to deal with again. He wasn't sure how many times he could endure that pain and not go crazy. "Alright, I will be right back." He leaves the room, heading down the darkened hallway towards the staircase and descends them, making his way towards the kitchen. Once there he sets a kettle of water onto the stove to heat up, and while that was in process, he goes over to a set of cupboard doors, pulling out a set of tea cups. For him, it had been quite some time since he'd had a guest to share a cup of tea with, and to be honest, he actually missed doing such things. Since it was such a special guest, he made sure they were his nicest cups. Once the water was hot, he fixed the tea, a blend of relaxing herbal and white tea, making sure it seeped to perfection, and then places everything on a tray, including sugar, a small thing of milk, and a spoon with it, and carries it back upstairs to the room. "Here, I hope you like it, you can add sugar and milk to it if you'd like." He takes his own cup, which had just a tiny bit of sugar in it, and sits back down in the chair. He waits for the human to try the tea before he drank his own, wanting to know what Eric thought of the taste. "If it's a bit strong I apologize. I'm only used to fixing tea for myself, since it and coffee are the only two 'human' things I can stand and not get sick fro consuming..." He sips from his cup, and glances towards the window, and sure enough, like he'd predicted moments earlier, rain was starting to fall, lightly right at that moment, but there was no doubt that it would start pouring as the storm reached them. "If you'd like, you can light the candles in the room, but before you go to sleep put them out. The only one you can leave burning is the one by the door, since it's concealed and in a container." He smiles, and looks around the room. "I always feel a bit more relaxed with candlelight instead of bulbs, you know?" He sets the cup down on the saucer, and turns his eyes to the human. "I really do hope you'll enjoy your stay here. If you need anything at all, at any time, don't hesitate to ask me, okay?" He smiles a bit more. "To be honest, staying in such a big house by myself can get quite lonely, and I'm usually a bit awkward with most people, so having you over is a change for me. Forgive me if I seem strange at times, I just don't know how to act around humans for the most part..." He didn't want the human to know just how on edge he was right now, it may look as if he was calm right at that moment, but in reality, he was actually really nervous. Arekushisu
Eric watched as Noctis left his room and he nodded simply at the stay here comment Noctis had made. He walked to the corner where all of his bags sat and he picked the one up with clothes in it and hauled it to the bed opening it up and grabbing the folded night clothes he had brought opening the dresser on the far wall and setting them in there. He did the same with his boxers and his socks, then he went to the closet and noticed hangers already in there starting to hang up his shirts and jeans humming lightly. By the time he was finished the rain had started to sprinkle down and he smiled happily as he pulled up a chair infront of the window and sat down waiting patiently for Noctis to come back. He jumped lightly as the door clicked closed and he smiled at the white haired man infront of him holding a tray with two tea cups and a saucer with sugar on it as well as a small kettle for the tea and a cup for the milk. He smiled lightly and took his own cup putting some sugar in it before he took a sip humming lightly as it went down. "oh no no its not strong at all! I like it! You make wonderful tea.." he said softly looking back out the window and he tilted his head hearing Noctis speak once more, "I like candles too...but I'm clumsy and I usually burn myself." he said blushing shyly as he stood setting his tea on the coffee table infront of the window. He walked to the first candle and he picked up the matches and he lit one slowly making his way to the candles which were placed around the room. The small dark room was filled with a bright orange glow from all the candles giving it a welcoming air about it. He picked up the last candle behind Noctis listening to him talk about how he was usually lonely from no one being here and that the company was appreciated and he didnt watch his hands and sure enough he felt the stinging pain of fire on his fingers. He winced and pulled the fingers away blushing darkly as he blew out the match cursing to himself under his breath. He moved holding his hand gingerly and he looked away from Noctis, "See??? Clumsy! I just get so focused on someone or something else I forget where my body is and any danger it may be in." he rubbed his fingers seeing a red spot where a blister would pop up at forming. He groaned and walked to the bathroom leaving the door open and running his fingers under the cool water. "I don't mind the company either actually! My father is in the hospital still...so I would be home alone and honestly I dont take good care of myself so I probably wouldn't survive the week." he chuckled to himself but made his voice loud enough Noctis could hear him from his room. Noctis was a little strange but in his eyes strange wasn't always a bad thing. The way the man dressed and spoke weren't like that of the people outside of his home so he assumed that Nocits didnt get out very often so he knew well enough that it had been awhile since he was in the company of a human being. He sighed and wrapped his hand in a towel walking back into the room his face contorted in slight pain as he sat back down. "I'm sorry about that...I accidentily cut my finger when I was cooking once when I was little because the tv was on.." he said another blush covering his cheeks and he laughed softly to himself looking down at his red fingers as they were swelling. He groaned and leaned his head back on the chair, "honestly sometimes I wish I wasn't so weak..like not just me but my body too..." he said softly and shook his head. He wished he could be more like Kris or Noctis even where they didn't get hurt or didn't even feel pain, all his life pain made him frightened to do as he liked or say what he wanted to. If he couldn't feel the kicks and punches his father gave him he would no longer feel the need to do everything for the man, he would no longer be a slave. He rubbed his temples with his free hand willing the thoughts out of his mind for Noctis's sake and his eyes flashed up to the man wondering if he had heard them or if he had stopped them before he had been forced to listen. ~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
Noctis watches carefully as Eric got up to do each of the candles that were around the room, but when he spoke up, the human apparently got distracted, and as a result, ended up burning himself with the flame of the match that he had been holding. He held back a chuckle of amusement, not wanting to make the human upset, or make it look as if he was laughing because of the other getting hurt. He knew how that felt all too well, and it wasn't a good feeling. Or, rather, a feeling he'd once felt a while ago, but no longer felt due to being what he was now. He just had the memory of feeling that way, a faded recollection of shame from being laughed at for being different. He heard the words that came from Eric's mouth, but was a little surprised by them, and at first didn't really believe it. So, he didn't mind the company? Even from someone as strange as himself? Hearing what he was told made a small smile form upon his lips, noticing the blush that was taking over Eric's cheeks, wondering why he was getting like that? It must have been from what he was saying, admitting. Noctis shakes his head lightly, and gives a reassuring smile. "Don't feel that way. We are all weak at some point. Even myself, and Kristopher as well, we were once weak. Even now we have our times of weakness, and even though I hate to admit it, I'm more weak than strong at most times..." His eyebrows pressed together slightly as he could start seeing the images within Eric's mind once more, but was grateful when the human repressed those thoughts and emotions, saving him from becoming lost once more. Like he'd told the human before, he could not control what he heard or saw, it was something that came and went, whether he liked it, wanted it to or not. He had no choice, it was something that happened, and it was something he had to deal with every time he stepped foot out that door, or dealt with humans in general. A rumbling of thunder could be heard coming from outside, and with that sound, Noctis glances over at the window, and seconds after that sound, a flash of lightening and another roll of thunder followed, within seconds rain was pouring down, lashing out at the window, and you couldn't see very far from the grey curtain of raindrops that fell from the sky. Now, it thundered and flashes of lightning occurred often, and Noctis sighs softly. This kind of weather helped him calm down, it relaxed his mind and body in a way nothing else could. "It's starting to get late..." He murmurs, not to anyone really, just saying things out loud. Eric would finds that this was something that Noctis did, it was a trait of his that could either be rather cute and helpful, or real annoying, as most of the things he says out loud were the obvious, like it was raining, or what time it was, that sort of thing. But Noctis needed to do this, as it kept his mind off of the darkness that crept within the shadows and depths of his mind, his voice kept him in reality, instead of slipping into the depths of those empty voids, where there was nothing but pain and suffering, where all his old human emotions had gone to, locked away and meant to be forgotten. "Did you want to get ready for bed, or did you want to talk some more?" He asks, turning his gaze from the window to look at Eric. "Also, if you wish, I can get you something for your burn..." He didn't really use it, since his own wounds usually healed on their own, but it was for the 'just in case a human came to my house and got hurt or something along that lines' kind of situation. Might as well be read, right?
Arekushisu
Eric could tell that Nocits had seen some of the images because right when he looked up he noticed a crease in the mans forehead which he had, had earlier when he had been thinking about his dad. He shook his head and he sighed gently seeing the small amount of amusement that he had on his face flash away at the moment he had heard his thoughts and he felt bad. He would have to learn how to conceal his own thoughts when he was around Noctis to keep him from being pulled into the void of his mind. He never wanted to see Noctis or Kris like that again. At the thought of Kris Eric's heart hurt a little but he looked away at the window watching the rain pour down letting it wash away the feelings he was hiding. He smiled softly as the thunder started to roar and the lightening helped brighten up the room with its white glow. They sat silently for what seemed like hours just listening to the rain with one another, Noctis was weird company but it was a good one. Eric would take it over being alone any day, he preferred to be with people who were different than people who were normal. Ever since he was little he was drawn to the abnormal and he stayed that way as he grew up, Kris was just an example of that. Little did Eric know that he himself was apart of this supernatural world, his abnormal self however still had not awoken yet and it wouldn't until Kris had fully accepted him. Eric pulled his eyes away from the window as he was spoken to and a smile instantly lifted the corners of his mouth and he walked to Noctis shaking his head, "I'm not really tired yet...less you wish to leave." he said softly and stopped infront of the man and he pulled the paper towel away from his fingers and showed it to Noctis, "I think it would be a good idea to doctor it...it's already going to blister pretty good so it wouldn't hurt." He said and smiled again pulling his hand away hugging it to his chest. "So please! If you don't mind could I have that stuff for my burn? Why do you have it by the way...?" he asked and he looked around the room seeing how it was completely in order yet untouched. "Why do you have alot of this stuff...you have human food right..? Why do you carry all this human stuff if you yourself can not indulge in it?" he asked and looked at Noctis leaning against his bed. "You have very little human visitors...I can tell its been some time since you had to endure the thoughts like my own...so why is everything prepared for a human's stay?" he asked softly just simply curious. Why would Noctis carry human food even before he had known he was coming if he could not eat it? Eric had known from Kris that Noctis didn't really go out that often at all let alone did he keep the company of humans. So it was odd to him that he seemed all prepared for a humans stay even before he had known he would be here.
~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
"Yeah, I can do that..." Noctis goes to stand up from the chair once more, about to get the things for the human's burn, when Eric suddenly speaks up again, asking him several questions, but all focused one one thing in general. Why did he, Noctis, have things for a human in his house, when he himself was not human? Pausing, his back turned slightly to the other, he lowers his head lightly, not saying anything at first, as if he were trying to find the right words to explain himself to Eric, as to why he had his house the way it was. After a moment, he turns slowly so he was facing Eric, a slightly melancholic smile on his lips. "Why do I have all these things? It's because I miss it. I miss being human." He looks around the room, his eyes lingering over everything for mere moments, before settling once more on Eric. "Having these things...make me feel as if I am human still, even though I know I'm not. It's rather pathetic, I know, hanging on to things that I have no use for, but...I am not going to easily give those up. And besides, if I didn't, what would I do if a REAL human came over, in the rare case that they did? Might as well keep it...you know? You're here...and that's all that is needed to confirm in my choices of keeping the things I do..." With those words, he leaves the room, and goes to retrieve what was needed for Eric's burn, returning quickly, it hadn't been too hard to find. He had with him a tube of burn ointment, a bandage, and something to keep the burn from stinging after a bit. "Here..." He says, and holds it out to Eric, not sure if the human wanted to do it himself, or have Noctis help him. Might as well have him be asked, instead of doing it automatically, he knew that some people would rather they fix themselves up, instead of relying on others. "It is getting rather late. I don't know what you were planning to do, but I'm going to my room to change and probably read a book before going to bed...If you need to talk, or wish to, my room is at the end of the hall..." After giving Eric a small smile, he leaves the room once more, heading to his own. Once inside, he goes over to a set of dresser drawers, changing his clothing to a simple black t-shirt and a pair of pajama pants, which were black as well. His whole room was black, with very little other color, black wooden floor, black walls, black bed and carpet, curtains, everything. The only color came from the candles that hung from the chandelier up above, the candlesticks upon the tables, and the books in the book case. Pulling a book down, he settles in a chair, opens it, and begins to read, though his mind wanders to Eric, wondering just what Kristopher saw in the human. He was different for sure, but there had to be something deeper, much more detailed than just 'interesting.' Knowing Kristopher's past, this was definitely a change for the vampire, and Noctis wondered exactly what it was. Because before Eric, Kristopher had sworn he would never fall in love again, especially with the tragedy that had happened so long ago.
Arekushisu
Eric watched as Noctis moved to leave seeming to not hear his questions until finally he turned and the look on his face was tragic. He looked down to the ground not wanting to see the sad look in Noctis's eyes, he then looked up hearing the sweet voice of the man before him and he almost teared up. "Oh...I see.." he said but Noctis was already gone. He felt bad for asking something that had brought that sad look on the mans face. He could understand it, how you could miss having everything you used to have. Specially if you couldn't eat anything you used to love, like cake or a good piece of chicken cooked just the way you like it. He felt sorry for Nocits, he sat down on his bed a wince coming to his face as his fingers were brushed against it. He looked up hearing someone come back into his room and he smiled gently to Noctis, "Thank you..." he said gently and took the tools from the man and he sat them next to him on the bed looking up at the male. "Alright! Yea thank you for everything Noctis...I really do appreciate it.." he said softly and waved to the man as he left his room saying he would be in his own just down the hall. He was happy he didn't have to go far if something bothered him or he needed help finding something. He grabbed the ointment and he rubbed it on his fingers sighing softly as the pain ran through his hand and up to his arms. He then wrapped the bandage around his fingers and winced again but the cooling sensation of the salve was already working and he smiled happily as the pain was almost forgotten. He moved to the drawers and he opened them grabbing his pajama pants and he took his jeans off and replaced them with the pajama pants. He moved lightly and replaced the tshirt he had on with another one which was blue and then he walked to the table which still had his tea cup on it and he sat in the chair beside the window. His eyes scanned the sky seeing the rain fall from the sky like tears and he sighed gently picking up the cup and taking a drink the liquid inside already cooling. He moved opening the window and he smiled softly as his fingers slid out into the open night and felt the cool water falling onto his uninjured fingers. He really loved the house, and he was starting to like Noctis even more than before, at first the male came off as weird and anti social but Eric noticed he was easy to talk to and fun to be around. He leaned back into the chair he sat in and before long his eyes started to droop despite himself. He really didn't want to sleep, the dreams waiting for him made sure of that, he hated the way Kris's absence made him feel. He hadn't really noticed how much the man affected him on a daily basis, and how the man made his emotions run wild when he thought about him. He shook his head hard and sat up straighter and he sighed lightly looking out of the window shivering lightly at the chill of the night. He moved and closed it before standing and walking to the bed pulling the covers away and sliding into the mattress. He hadn't really expected the bed to be comfortable, it wasn't his bed and it was under a strange roof however the bed was rather comfortable. He looked up at the unfamiliar ceiling and he sighed lightly rolling onto his side, he wasn't going to be able to sleep and he knew that. Staring up at this unfamiliar ceiling and the unfamiliar walls made it hard for him to sleep at all. After another hour of tossing and turning in his bed he sat up and he sighed, there was nothing he could do to pass time other than sit there and think about everything wrong. What was Kris doing? When would he be back? He still never gave him a real time limit on how long he would be here. What was his dad doing? How was his wounds healing? What about Noctis had he fallen asleep yet? Thousands of thoughts ran through his head but no matter how much he wished he couldn't think about Kris his mind kept going back to him. How was he doing? Had he gotten to where he needed to be? And worst of all...did he miss Eric?
~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
It was late by the time Noctis stood from the chair he'd been sitting in reading a book, and when he looked at the clock that was ticking quietly on the wall, it read 12:15. So, it was past midnight. Glancing around the room, the ghoul stretches lightly, before placing a book mark within the pages of the novel he was working on, closes it, and place it back on the bookshelf where it had come from. Backing away, his stomach growls slightly, and he knew he had to get something to eat, or he'd be regretting it later on. So, deciding to do just that, he pulls a piece of paper from a desk and write a note on it, before pulling on a pair of shoes and leaves his room, pausing down the hall next to Eric's room, listening intently. It was quiet, but he wasn't going to open the door, just in case the human was still asleep. Instead, he carefully lodges the note between the door and the frame, and continues his way down the steps, pulling on a jacket that was hanging by the front door, and exits the house, checking to see that he had his key with him. With that safely tucked away within his pocket, he heads down the front steps and then the walk, turning left and down the street, his house soon gone from view. He had to be careful, he knew that, and even though he had wanted to wait and hold off on doing this, his body wouldn't be able to handle the stress, so giving in was all he could do. The note that he had left behind for Eric read as such: 'I'm going out for a bit, but I should be back soon. I had hoped that this 'errand' that I need to run could have waited a bit longer, but unfortunately it could not wait. If you need anything, either wait for me to return, or if you need help right away, just wish it and it will be so. I'll be there as soon as I can, I shouldn't be too long. Sincerely, Noctis Wherever in the world Kristopher was, he had arrived. Only he knew of the place, and no one else, except for those like him. Creatures of the night, shadows of this world. He already was settled in his new temporary home, and even though it was still early evening, he was exhausted, so lay on his bed, eyes staring at the same scene in which he imagined Eric was looking at. Unfamiliar ceiling, unfamiliar walls. A bed that wasn't his own. He sighs softly, closing his eyes, which matched now, both blood red and glowing ever so lightly. Even though he tried not to think about it, he desperately missed that human, wishing that this didn't need to happen...but to keep the other male safe...he had to. Arekushisu
Eric groaned softly and he laid on the ground, he tilted his head and heard a creak of wood under foot and he turned to his door. He didn't need to be told that Noctis was there and he didn't have to say anything, he saw the paper slide under his door and he waited for the man to walk away before he crawled over to it and read it. He smiled lightly and tilted his head noticing that Nocits had something he needed to get and he would patiently wait for him. He stood and walked to the door of his room and he opened the door peeking out. He noticed he wasn't out there and he left his room walking down the hallway, he wanted to find the library. He searched around the house until finally he found a large room with books in it and he smiled softly walking over to the shelves. He noticed it was almost 1am and he wished he could sleep but he couldn't, instead he picked up a book which was on a table and he read the title before walking away from it and went to the closest shelf. His fingers trailed over the books and he read the titles until he found one that was interesting and pulled it off the shelf and he walked to a chair and sat down. He pulled his legs up to his chest and he started to read, hours passed as he sat there reading the novel he had picked out. As he rounded the last page he finished the book and rubbed his eyes yawning softly and he sat it down next to the chair before he curled up even tighter into himself and he started to fall asleep. Keeping his mind busy throughout the night it had allowed for his mind to shut up and focus on one thing, the novel. He felt his eyes closing beside himself and he drifted off into a nightmare. His dream pulled him into Kris's mansion where they laid with one another curled up on the large bed breathing in each others scents. Everything erupted after that, large bangs came from outside the home and he sat up in bed Kris instantly got out of the bed looking out the window and quickly pulling himself back in. He told Eric to stay and be quiet and that was the last time he saw him. The nightmare brought him down the stairs after an hour of waiting for Kris and he descended the stairs cautiously. At the bottom of the stairs laid his lovers mangled body and tears prickled in his eyes as he rushed down the last of the stairs to Kris's side. He picked him up into his arms and hugged him weakly to his chest tears staining his cheeks. He heard a sound by the front door and he looked up noticing a dark figure but was unable to tell the person behind the large robe he had on. Eric had no time to move as the man pulled up a gun and aimed it at Eric silently pulling the trigger and the sound of a gun rang through his ears as he sat up straight in the chair a loud cry leaving his lips. He was panting his chest heaving and sweat caked his face, he looked at the clock seeing it was 6am and he rubbed his eyes before getting up and going back to his room to the bathroom which connected it. He turned on the water and he waited for it to warm up before he disrobed and he let his clothing fall on the floor. He lazely got into the shower and let the water run over his bare body looking at the door he noticed he had left it open and he sighed softly too tired to go to it and shut it. He knew that Noctis wouldn't come into his room less he really needed him and if he did see him naked he really didn't care. Noctis had no feelings for him so there was no reason for him to get worried about such a thing, he just turned back to his shower his back facing the door and he tried to enjoy the warm water falling on his chest trying to wash away the dream he had just woken up from. ~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
By the time Noctis got back from his 'errand' it was early in the morning, the rain having died down to just a silent curtain of grey, light but steadily falling. He quietly enters the house, careful not to make any big noises, knowing by now that Eric was probably asleep, taking off his jacket and setting it aside on a hook, as well as removing his shoes, placing those by the door upon a small mat. With steps as silent as a bird on the wind, he climbs up the stairs, and heads to his room, pausing a few seconds by the room he'd lent to the human, but like before does not open the door, instead keeps on walking. Opening his door, he was surprised to see that Eric was inside, curled up on a chair. Apparently he had been wandering, in search of the library, and seeing his room, which was filled with books, probably mistook it for just that. A soft smile lifts his lips, and he shakes his head softly. Oh well, it wasn't that big of a deal really. He didn't mind. So, he retreats, and heads to another room, a spare like the one he was lending to Eric, but also had extra clothing in it of his own. He changes quickly, and climbs into bed, to get a few hours of sleep, his eyes closing and almost immediately he was out, weariness overwhelming him and exhaustion pulling like a string. The time flew by, and before he knew it, it was 6 in the morning, his eyes opening just as quickly as they had closed, his extreme sense of hearing catching the sound of a shower running, and by that he could guess that Eric was awake. He yawns and gets up out of the bed, stretching lightly and leaves the room, heading to the kitchen to get the human something to eat, making something small, not knowing if he was still not hungry. A tray with two eggs, a pear cut in half, a piece of toast, and a cup of English Breakfast tea was brought up to Eric's room, and before entering Noctis knocks lightly. "I'm coming inside. I have breakfast for you if you want it..." He then enters, placing the tray upon the small table, and retreats once more, not lingering inside the room for too long. A sudden thought pops into his head, and he sniffs at himself, nose cringing at the scent that he picked up, and hurries to his own room, going inside, and copies what the human was doing, stripping himself of clothing and stepping under the shower head, washing off that putrid scent. The scent of death, blood, and flesh... For the most part it was a normal scent, but at times, it got to him, and no doubt Eric would have smelt it too had he not caught it first and took care of the problem. Finishing up, he steps out of the shower and wraps a towel around his skinny waist, for a moment staring at his reflection in the mirror, the huge scar over his chest pale against his already ivory colored skin. Running a fingertip over it, he shakes his head and leaves the bathroom, putting on a clean set of clothes, throwing both the clothing he wore last night and that morning into a basket to be washed. "Well, that should do it..." He murmurs, once more smelling himself, and instead of something disgusting reaching him, it was clean and fresh. Arekushisu
Eric moved and started washing his hair the soup traveling down his chest washing off instantly by the water cascading down on his head. He smiled lightly at the clean fresh smell surrounding the small shower he was in. He finished washing his body as well rinsing it off easily and he walked to the shower head turning it off. He sighed running a hand over his face and he groaned, he had a crick in his neck from sleeping on the chair and he was still exhausted, he was also slightly hungry but not too hungry. The more he thought about food however the less hungry he was, he got out of the shower and wrapped a towel around his waist and sighed. He walked into his room and blushed lightly seeing the tray of well made food sitting on the coffee table as well as some tea and he sighed. Noctis was home again and he had already made him breakfast that he wouldn't eat probably, he would drink the tea however which smelled delicious. He walks to his closet pulling out a pair of jeans putting them on easily and then grabbed a t-shirt as well laying it on his bed. He went to the tea and food and picked up the cup taking a drink and he sighed, it tasted wonderful and it was warm seeming to wash away the nightmare he had that night. He was happy for it and greatful that Noctis had thought to make him something even if he wasn't hungry for it. He sat the empty tea cup down after downing it not meaning to drink it so quickly and he smiled. He was feeling better now that he had something on his stomach even though it was just liquid he still felt like he couldn't eat real food. He went to the bed where his shirt lay and he picked it up sliding it up and over his head letting it fall ontop of his stomach. He wondered where Noctis was now and he moved to his door and opened it looking around outside his room before he walked down the hall to the males room. He knocked on the door gently, "Noctis..? Are you here?" he asked. He knew the male was home but he didn't know where he was or what he was doing. Eric had told the school that he wouldn't be attending for two weeks straight do to family problems and an illness his father was getting over and he needed to be home to take care of him. They wouldn't be expecting him any time soon so he really didn't know what he would spend these next few weeks doing other than spending time with this stranger. He didn't want to bother him much so he planned to leave the door unopened if Noctis didn't answer soon enough, not wanting him to be annoyed. Last night had been rough and the dream was replaying again and again but now that he was closer to his room he cut off his thoughts all together not wanting Noctis to have to hear it or see anything again that would bother him or hurt him. ~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
Hearing a knock at his door, Noctis looked up from the bracelet he'd been buttoning on, hearing the question that was asked, the sound of the human's voice muffled due to the door being shut. "Yes, I am here. Wait a moment." He crosses the room and opens the door for Eric, leaving it that way as he backed away, an obvious invitation for the human to come inside. His skin was still slightly damp, and his hair a dripping mess, falling over his forehead and into his eyes, droplets of water falling every time he moved his head. It was curlier than usual, which was how it got when wet, and it seemed almost grey in color, unlike when it was dry, taking on a near snow white color in comparison. Looking over at Eric, he smiles a little bit, noticing that the human looked quite tired, despite being up at this time. "I'm guessing you did not sleep very well?" Noctis asks, shaking his head quickly from side to side, so that a small shower of water came flying off his hair. Finished with that, he runs his fingers through, brushing a bit of his bangs out of his eyes, so that at least one of his purplish eyes could be seen from beneath it, and smiles once more, this time a bit more brightly than before. "You're getting better at hiding the things you think and feel, but I still managed to pick up a small bit of what was going on. A bad dream, huh?" He sits down on the arm chair in which Eric had fallen asleep in the night before, picking up a cup of coffee and sipping it, the taste of sweet French vanilla and hazelnut running over his tongue and into his stomach. He sighs softly, the steam from the hot liquid warming his cheeks, giving them a soft, flushed look. Glancing up at Eric, he takes another sip before setting the cup down. "Did you enjoy your book reading last night?" He asks, a soft hint of amusement in his voice, as if he knew that Eric had been in there, in which case he did. "If you'd like, you can come in here to read any time you'd like, just next time it would be better if you ask first..." For a second or two he was quiet once more, before he realized that it was a school day. "By the way, are you going to school or not? Last I checked it was not a vacation, right?" He tilts his head. "Not that I mind you being here, I just don't want you to get in to trouble for missing class. Plus, what were you going to do all day. I'm not going to let you just mope around the house, if that's what you were planning. If you're going to be here, and not study, I think it would be best if I gave you some things to do, maybe with you I can actually go out and not get distracted, you know?" Arekushisu
Eric smiled softly on the other side of the door hearing the answer from Noctis and the small click of the door. He smiled happily and walked in letting a soft laugh leave his lips as he noticed the dripping hair on top of his head. "No I didn't sleep well but that doesn't really matter to me. I probably wasn't going to see anyway.." He said lightly and smiled softly watching him push away the hair and he blushed lightly. He was actually able to see his face. And the man was beautiful, he had beautiful eyes making Eric blink slightly to bring his mind back around to the question he was asked, "Yes...I didn't wish to sleep because I knew I would have one but I fell asleep reading a book..." He blushed darkly in embarrassment and he looked at Noctis, "I'm sorry I didn't know it was your room actually I just came in looking for something to ease my mind..." He looked around and sure enough it was the room he had stumbled in the night before. "I promise I'll ask you next time..." He looked down and smiled lightly laughing ever so softly with Noctis. He looked up hearing the other question and he smiled lightly, "No I'm not going to school the entire time of my stay here. My father was hospitalized and I used the situation to get out of school for the time Kris is away..." He said gently looking at Noctis his fingers nervously playing with his shirt sleeves. He smiled brighter and he looked up at the male, "You mean if!? You'll go outside with me?? I don't want to force you to do anything I understand how hard it is for you...but I would love to go outside and do something...anything." He said happily a new brightness on his face that hadn't been there before. The last sentence however caught him by surprise and he looked over Noctis, "Me...? Keep you from being distracted?" He chuckled gently and blushed at the flattery. "I hope I'm of some help but I don't know if I am or not..." He said gently looking over Noctis and he smiled. "You can keep me distracted and I'll keep you from being distracted how about that?" He laughed happily his fingers going to his lips to stop the smile on his face.
