The time was 11:45 am on an November morning.

Hearing his phone go off, he opens his eyes. He'd dozed off, and when he awoke, he found himself laying in bed alone, sheets tangled around him, and a dried stickiness on the back of his thighs, butt, and in between his legs a tiny bit. Laughing on the phone he exits the lab and heads to the others room, he stands at the door watching the other for a bit until he enters, still laughing.

"I'm sorry I'm sorry" he says as he reached for the wet cloth and removed it from the others hand. He proceeds to filling up the bath.

 

"Sit" he tells the other and helps him shower.

Soon following the dressed up part.

 

Once Shinji was clean and dressed Lance gives him an eye admiring the small figure.

the idea of join on a date with Shinji was too flattering, Lance considered the boy as something far greater than himself, he guessed love did that to you, but now he stood there embarrassed at his request waiting for an answer.

His cheeks flush up when he hears Lance laughing, and when the other enters the bathroom he fake pouts. "Hey, quit laughing at me. Big meanie." He giggles after, then sits down when he was told to, embarrassed by the fact that he had to have Lance was him off, but at the same time he didn't mind. However, what he did mind, was that dull ache in his rear end.

 

Once washed and dried off, he got dressed next, wearing a pair of faded grey skater styled skinny jeans, which were still kind of loose, a long sleeved dark grass green shirt, and a black sleeveless hooded sweater over it, with the symbol for GGO on the back. As he zipped it up, he listens to Lance. "Thank you..."

 

However, what Lance asks was not what he was expecting. Looking up at Lance, his eyes grow wide.. "A date....with you...and me...? Go out? Oh..." his eyes sparkle with happiness, he saw the look on the there's faced, how embarrassed he looked. He smiles widely. "Of course! I'd love to go out on a date with you!" This would be his first date in his entire life.

A sign of relief hits Lance as he hears the others words

'Why would I ever think that'd he say no' though Lance as he found himself smiling like an idiot.

He told himself, what a weird feeling this was even after...

"How are you feeling" he asks the other quickly remembering what had occurred some time before. "I'll do anything you ask of me, since I know you must be aching" said Lance as he stood up straighter fixing the sleeves of his coat.

He blushes again, a happy smile still on his lips, as he listened to what Lance asks next. "I'm sore...is there a way to make the ache be less...achey?" Giggling softly at his choice if words, he rubs his bottom softly with his hand. He tries to think of a way to either get rid of the pain, or numb it, but the only thing he could think of was sit in an ice pack, but....that didn't sound very comfortable.

 

Sighing, he couldn't believe they were going to go on a date. For him it was his first, which most people would say was sad or depressing. Shinji disagreed. He thought it was a blessing. Nothing could be more amazing than going out his first date with Lance. Like he'd said before, he wanted all his firsts to be with Lance.

"The living room couch will take care of that, it's extrememly soft and you can sit there while I make lunch" says Lance as he moved to caress Shinjis behind a jokinly smile in his face.

 

Both boys made their way to the room which was rather cold to Lance. He helped Shinji take a seat and handed him the remotes a pillow and a small cuddle blanket "this room is far too cold" stated Lance "I'm more afraid for when it starts snowing this year"

 

Moving to the kitchen he began to cook rise "I hope you like a Kaiseki bento" he told the other from the kitchen.

 

Lance wasn't cery skilled with the kitchen but his breakfasts and lunches were not too terrible. From the kitchen he heard his phone go off.

Retreating to the living room, Shinji wraps the blanket he was given around himself, before sitting down and leaning against the arm of the seat, holding onto the pillow with his arms, much like a child would hold a stuffed bear. It was indeed cold, but whenever it snowed, Shinji loved to go outside and make a family of snow bunnies, even though every time he'd done this, he'd gotten sick afterwards.

 

Turning on the TV, he flips through the channel, trying to find something good to watch. Eventually he finds a channel airing the original Naruto reruns, which was a favorite anime if his. Later there was a documentary about the basics of carbon printing in computer chips for government facilities which he thought looked quite interesting.

 

Hearing Lance, he smiles. "Yeah, I like them." He replies, shifting where he was sitting. "Ouch...." he groaned, rubbing his butt again. Maybe some ice wouldn't be a bad idea... however, he doesn't ask, but keeps quiet. The smell of food reaches his nose, and he smiles, his stomach gurgling in response.

Getting off the phone Lance smiles "Shinji food is done and guess what, that was the school you can start starting next week"

 

For Lance this was great news, this meant he would get to see Shinji more often and check him out all day in between classes or lunch. Of course he wasn't going to tell the other boy how madly crazy he was going, that even a simple glimpse a day drove his heart beyond before.

 

"This is great news" he says as he rushes to Shinji and bridal style carries him "I am so happy now" he continues saying as he steps into the kitchen.

"So how is the one project going?" slowly Lance sets Shinji on a chair and hands him a bowl of rise, some with mean and vegetables

Shinji's ears perk up at Lance's words, a huge smile forming on his face. "Really? Wow, that's so cool! Oh, I'm so excited now! He hadn't told Lance yet, but he'd actually signed up for a chemistry class for something extra to do. It was a surprise for Lance, so when he showed up in class, he could see the look on Lance's face. Just thinking about it made him smile.

 

He giggles loudly when Lance picks him up and carries him through the house t the kitchen, a happy flush of pink on his cheeks. He couldn't wait to start classes, he'd been looking forward to getting contacted back once they'd maioed in his forms. And he could tell that Lance was excited as well, by the way he was acting, and the way he expressed himself.

 

Set down in the kitchen on a chair at the table, he accepts the food that was given to him, thanking Lance and taking a bite, before answering the question. "Oh, it s going pretty well actually. I got one prototype finished already. I'll be working on the finished product tonight, it just needs a few more details here and there, you know, work out an data issuses and complications that could happen when it's running." He was planning on working on finishing it tonight, and then work on the other thing he wanted to make. "I think they'll really like it."

"I think so too" says Lance as he sits and digs in. "Ah Shinji your cooking is much better" reaching for his book Lance continues to eat while finishing the last chapters.

 

Late afternoon was now hitting and like an old man Lance fell deeply asleep in the couch while watching comedy shows, it had been so long since he took a nap like that, probably because of the sex, but he wasn't going to admit it out loud either. At first he felt his eyes slowly closing, but he tried to stay up. Then he head fell back and it was so comfortable he stayed there; before knowing it his legs were stretched and his head fully back revealing his sleeping body

He had been working on the finished computer program for a bit, before setting it aside to work on the key chain. Sitting at his desk, the pieces spread out in front of him, he puts together what appeared to be a round silver ring, the width about one centimeter, and was half a centimeter thick, and placed in the middle, was a clear piece if fiber optic glass. Inside the ring were man tiny pieces of electrical wiring and metal chips with data coding upon it.

 

Shinji wasn't called an unrivaled genius for nothing. He looks at his handiwork, and presses a USB cord into a spot on the top of the ring, which was a bit thicker than the rest, connected to a chain to put in a key ring or back pack. Downloading a few things onto the ring, he finishes everything before heading downstairs. It was about three o'clock when he'd finished, and he found Lance in the living room, asleep. Shinji smiles, and goes over to sit on the seat with Lance, snuggling closely.

 

"Lance... I got something to show you...." he murmurs after a moment, reaching out and softly touching Lance's face with his hand, his palm resting gently on Lance's cheek. He holds the key chain in his other hand, eager to show his creation, and Lance's gift.

He started to wake when he felt moving, his eyes slightly cracking open. Shinji came to view a few second after.

"Did I fall asleep? I must be getting old" he told Shinji as he pulled him up to hug.

Closing his eyes again he breathed in the smaller boys sent.

 

"What's up you wanted to show me something?" He murmured.

Smiling as Lance stirred, he enjoys the hug he was pulled into for a moment, just relaxing a bit in the other's arms. It was nice, being able to spend time like this, staying close to Lance, without having to worry about tiny things. He nods against Lance's shoulder when he asked if Shinji wanted to show him something.

 

Straightening up, he waits for Lance to open his eyes before holding up the silver key ring. "Look!" He presses a tiny button on the side, and it begins to light up with many different colors, the filaments swirling to take shapes and images. First image to show itself was that of the picture Lance had sent him when he'd only known him as Shiro. It was the skyline with the sunset. The image than swirls away, pixels moving around, to next show a screenshot from SAOV2, of the two of them together. And lastly, as that image faded away, it was replaced by a picture of himself, a few years ago, smiling, and holding a cat in his arms.

 

The pictures loop, and after a moment he presses the button. "So...what do you think? The microfiber optic glass is set in the middle, and is protected by scratch and break resistant plastic on the outside, so it won't get ruined. And you can download whatever you want, from regular pictures to just cool swirly colorful designs, using the usb port on top. Plus, for as tiny as it is...it's got a really long charge. If left on constantly, it should last at least seventy two hours."

 

He pauses, and blushes. "And well, I know you really don't like gifts but...it's....it's for you..." he holds it out, and looks to Lance. "Happy birthday."

Stunned Lance looks at the pictures, he knew far too well what it was but the fact that Shinji had made it really surprised him. Not to mention the last few words that he told him.

Signing Lance took the object in his hand and looked at it closely almost as if examining a fragile child.

 

"Thank you" answered Lance "I'm sorry I made you work hard for this", reaching for his keys he added the new object to the key chain

 

"You have a thing with these key chains don't you" sightly laughed Lance. As his cheeks flushed "thank you" he murmured.

 

"Listen Shinji, my birthday is this weekend, I will be out for that day" he told the other

A big smile forms when Lance accepted the gift from him. "It's alright...I actually liked the challenge..." he blushes a bit to match that on Lance's cheeks, happy as the other puts the gift in his key chain, looking as if it totally belonged there next to all of his keys and the other keychains on it.

 

"And yes, you could say I have a thing for key chains..." he always liked them, ever since he was little. Whenever he'd get upset, all his brother had to do was jingle a set of keys in front if him, and he'd quiet down and settle almost immediately. He looks to Lance after recalling the memory ."But...you're welcome."

 

His eyes stare at Lance when he says that he'd be gone this weekend, which was his birthday. "Oh...okay..." he wasqiet, then salutes cheesiky. "I'll watch the house! You can trust me!" He gets up from where he was sitting, and straightens his clothes, stretching a tiny bit. "Well then, it's starting to get a bit late. Are you hungry at all?" Shinji wasn't sure when they were going on their date, if it was to be tonight or another night. He didn't mind cooking dinner for them.

"No" said Lance as he reached for the boy's wrist "I'm taking you out tonight, go shower and dress" he tells the other boy before he pulled him into a passionate kiss and as quickly releasing him.

 

Lance leaves Shinji behind and hurries to the room. Quickly picking up his phone he dials a number "Yes? reservations for two in an hour he says.

The place, as usual, was quite filled, the lovely golden like table sheets decorated the tables and it accented the rest of the restaurant. Lance stood outside holding the car door for Shinji.

 

The large boat had a radiant pearl like white designed and one could see the mahogany color from the sides.

"Tonight will be fun" he told Shinji as he closed the door and stepped to stand next to him.

 

The time was 7:30 and the sky was pitch black with adorning stars. The boat was to depart in 15 minutes
