Shinji stares. And stares. For a long while he said nothing, sitting on the couch, completely silent. What he had just heard was a shock to him, it made him feel like he didn't even know himself anymore. A block? His mind had thrown up a barrier to protect him? His body had, for a moment, moved free of his own will, without him even knowing? That just couldn't be right!

But by the way Lance was looking at him, the words he was still saying, it had to be true. Lance wouldn't lie to him. Would he? Shaking his head softly from side to side, he gets a scared look on his face, tears beginning to form in his eyes. Why was Land talking like this?

"N-no, wh-why are you apologizing? I sh-should apologize!" He stands up quickly, his face becoming scrunched up with misery. "I'm c-crazy, and you d-didn't know! That's it, isn't it?! Isn't it!?!? I'm a nutcase, a total psycho, because of a game! Because m-my brother DIED!" His voice cracks, tears sliding down his cheeks. "And h-help? How can you HELP me?!"

Shinji longed to know the answer, and suddenly he realizes something. His eyes widen, then narrow slightly. "You...you think I'm crazy too...d-don't you? You keep from t-touching me, you don't want to touch me now, right. Seeing me like that probably disgusted you, d-didn't it?! DIDN'T IT?! ARRRGH!!! I DON'T EVEN WANT TO LIVE ANYMORE!" He takes a step away, then turns and runs from the room, then the house itself, not even bothering to put on shoes, or a coat.

He runs and runs, until his lungs feel like they would burst, and he was wheezing and heaving, gasping for breath, his legs burning from their lack of physical usage, ending up in a part of the city he didn't know well. Leaning against a building in an alleyway, he stares up at the sky, tears pouring like rain down his face. As he stared up, his breath visible in the cold air, white drifts down from the sky. A snowflake lands on his cheek and melts, more soon following it.

He falls to the ground, and curls up, snow blanketing him softly. Closing his eyes, he falls asleep, becoming numb with the cold, and just wanting to give up on life. It got so cold that his tears froze on his cheeks, and his skin becomes even more pale. As he breathed, the puffs of air from between his lips becomes smaller in size, as his breathing slows down.

This was not how it was supposed to go! This was not supposed to happen! Screamed Lance in his head as he ran down the street after a smaller disappearing figure. The shoes he had grabbed were untied but he was skilled enough to not drop it his coat hung open but it was enough to block some of the cold winter air. Shinji ran faster ahead and Lance quickly caugh up due to the training he did every morning, but what he though was an advance had actually lead him no where. Shinji was gone.

Desperately looking around he ran up and down the semi-empty street. His heart beat racing his breath coming in sharp gasps now. Lance suffered of asthma and the sudden rush of cold oxygen from the outside did nothing good for the now growing pain in his chest. Maybe it wasn't even the asthma, because his chest also held his heart and right now It was breaking. Some people were giving him crazy looks but he didn't care! He couldn't care! He was so afraid of losing Shinji so afraid of the words the boy had said.

'I don't think you're crazy! I love you I love you I love you!' He said over and over in his head as he tightly closed his eyes and began screaming the boys name "SHINJI!!!" He said his voice leaving a scratchy feeling at the end of his throat.

The city had gone dark and empty, many of the people now sheltering themselves in the comfort of their home. A snow flake falls. Looking up Lance sees a large amount of small slowly moving pecks of snow. His eyes widen.

"No.." he whispers as he runs and continued searching. Alley after alley, all empty and lifeless. The streets now beginning to pile with snow

"SHINJI!!!" sceamed Lance his voice echoing through the empty building walls. His heart, he could feel was broken, he felt dead and useless.

'I can't lose you I can't lose you too!' "DAMMIT SHINJI'" tears ran down his eyes as each of the alleys and street showed no signs of the boy.

Reaching the end of the building section Lance's quickly glance at a small spacing between a large building and a small convenient store. A slight lump was there created, not covered in snow but a few of the person's hair strands were covered in white pecks. He knew far too well who's hair that was.

Gasping for air he ran to the figure and took it in his arms, quickly he checked for a pulse and breath. 'Slow but much alive, he fainted'

Lance's tears fell more now in large drops that greatly weighted on him "Shinji" he whispered in happiness his breath leaving him, his arms wrapping tightly at the figure that was now cold and soft. Quickly Lance removes his coat and wraps it around the boy covering every inch, the coats pockets had a pair of gloves that he placed on each of the hands. His scarf was put tightly around Shinji's neck to prevent any more cold wind from entering. He then reached for his shoes which were large of the boy but would cover the small feet from the cold. Lance took Shinji in his arms and quickly ran back home with him there. He cold feel the body growing warm, or maybe it was himself who was now slowly freezing from the lack of protection. The front of his face was cold as he ran down the street and his eyes became dry.

He was cold. So cold. Never before had he felt such iciness in his body, the chill running down to his very core, his soul. Even so, he could not wake. He WOULD not wake. Shinji welcome the frost bitten touch that came with death, as his lungs started to feel like they were beginning to crystallize, his heart freezing in his chest, barely beating, the sound as faint as a feather falling.

Shinji didn't hear the footsteps coming nearer, all he heard was the bell ringing, tolling for him. But then, the cold began to fade. Warmth spread over his body, and he could breath somewhat normally again. What was going on? The light behind his eyes disappears, and all that was left behind was silence. Why....why was this happening? Wasn't he going to go and see Rai again?

A voice echoes inside his head. Saying his name. Calling to him. It sounded like Lance's voice. But why was he there? It made no sense. As he was being run home, he was oblivious to the outside world, unknowing of what was going on. All he knew was that he was no longer in the cold grip of death, but the warm embrace of life, but as he stirred, he began to slip back again, feeling his life being siphoned away.

Slowly, he opens his eyes, everything was blurred, or maybe it was the snow all around them. He sees a face, feels the arms holding him. "Lance..." He whispers, his voice weak. Why? Why was Lance here? Why was he still here? He could tell they were almost home, away from where he'd run to. "Lance...I'm...sorry..." A single tear slips from his eye, as he closes them again.

Death. It waits for no one. It does not discriminate, it is not picky. It welcomes us all equally. And for Shinji, it waited, nearing ever closer to him. This incident had pushed him over the edge. His heart beat becomes slow and faint once more, barely fluttering in his chest. His breathing, nearly non existing. Despite being wrapped up in Lance's coat and scarf and gloves, he felt that coldness again.

"Lance..."

(Don't worry, he's not going to die)

The front door of the house slammed open and Lance ran in. He closed it with his foot and took the boy up stairs. The house was as warm as an over compared to the outside. Lance threw the ice cold Shinji on his bed and grabbed the remote that controlled some of the mechanisms in the bed.

Clicking Heater he put up the numbers until it landed on 80 degrees F. The bed would soon turn into a Caribbean paradise. Lance proceeded to removed all the clothing that Shinji had on, seeing as to how they were now covering in water do to the melting snow.

His hands were shaking madly and Lance could feel a large bump forming at the back of his throat. Shinji was soon naked on the bed. Grabbing the large blanket he wrapped the boy in it as he ran to the closet and grabbed sweat pants and a large sweater, Shinji was soon dressed in those. A large scarf followed and furry socks as well.

From a distance the small boy looked like a bump of clothing. Still Lance could not stop shaking, the adrenaline was filling his body and mind, he was so scared that no words came out of Lance's mouth.

Downstairs he heated a large cup of water and took it up stairs. Shinji's eyes were flickering, fighting to stay awake or sleep. Grabbing the small body Lance pulled him up to a sitting position having his rest of the back board of the bed.

"Drink this Shinji" he said as the cup was placed to the boy's lips "Shinji please" his voice now sounding more desperate.

Although he begged no reaction came from the boy, placing the cup on his own lips he took a large sit in his mouth and then kissed Shinji forcing him to drink some of the hot water than slightly leaned on the burning side.

Even though he was soon in a bed, which was becoming hotter by the minute, he still felt so cold. Warm clothing covers his body, but he felt like he was covered with ice and snow, slowly becoming frozen over. Death was at his door, waiting for Shinji to give in and let it inside. No matter how hard he pushed to close that door, Death pushed harder, slowly creeping inside of him.

Struggling, his eyes flicker back and forth behind closed eyelids, trying to keep from slipping away, his body's instincts knowing if he gave in, he wouldn't be coming back, or ever waking up again. And so he fought, his frail body weak compared to the strong grip that belonged to Death.

However, he was on the brink of giving up. It was too hard, too much for his body to handle. That was, until he felt hot water pour into his mouth. At first it just sits there, some spilling out of his mouth, until some gets down his throat. His eyes roll to the back if his head for a mere second, before he coughs, choking on the water, gasping for breath. His eyes open wide, but were unseeing as he coughed, but eventually his throat clears, and he relaxes.

His body rests against the bed, heart now pounding in his chest, no longer just a faint beating, but wild and fast from almost choking to death. His breathing was hard, and he looks around, his eyes glazed slightly, they land on Lance. And he just stares at the other, not having enough strength to speak. And after a moment, his eyes close again, but this time, it was to fall asleep, exhausted.

The night that followed was worse than expected. Shinji's body began to shake after sometime and then it would stop randomly, and continue again. Lance was always there by the second when he did that and soon after Shinji would stop moving. It was around 4 in the morning that Lance began to cough madly he knew that the cold wind had affected him more than he had wished. Winters were always very bad for him.

Shinji managed to calm down after then and slept until late in the morning, Lance sat in a chair next to the bed watching over him. At some point he had given Shinji a syrup like medicine to prevent fevers or sickness that might be coming up. The boy swallowed it smoothly.

Lance's eyes could not be ripped from the boy, he was so scared of looking away and suddenly losing him again. But he was determined to run after him as many times as it took, search for him even if it took all his life. Lance could see my the returning color in Shinji's face that he was getting better. His cheeks were deeply flushed now.

"You might have a stuffed nose for a while" he whispered as he leaned back on the chair he'd been sitting on. His own throat ached from screaming and coughing. And his body was so tired that he could barely feel his own legs.

It was late in the morning by the time Shinji opened his eyes again, still tired from the whole ordeal. He accepts the medicine that Lance gives to him, coughing at the taste, it was gross. But even so, he swallows it. As he lay there, he could feel the intense gaze upon him, knowing Lance was refusing to take a singe look away, probably to prevent him from running off again.

Watching as the other sat in a chair, Shinji's eyes taking in the appearance of Lance, noticing the almost sick look to him. Sighing softly, he turns so his back was facing him, and reaches under the pillow, pulling out his phone, and turns it on. Going to the contact list, he flips through them, and clicks on the one that read 'Amelia-san'. He sends her a text, telling her to call Lance as soon as possible.

Turning the phone off again, he settles back down against the bed, and curls up into a tight ball, closing his eyes again, and dozing off. He didn't know what to say to Lance right then, but he wanted Lance to get some rest, as he needed it too, or else he'd end up sick as well. And if he did, Shinji would feel terrible, blaming it on himself, knowing it was because of him that Lance was suffering like this.

Somewhere from far away a soft bell sounding ring tone emerged. At first Lance couldn't tell what it was, he was so focused on keeping his eyes opened it almost hurt. Reaching into his pocket he took out the device.

"Hello" he said into it

The voice from the other side was loud and almost annoying, Amelia's cheerfulness burned through Lance's pain.

"yes" he answered "yes, I will" he continued "I promise" "alright bye"

Soon enough the phone was hung and Lance's sharp eyes landed on Shinji's face.

"How dare you" he whispered to the boy. Lance jumped in the bed and removed Shinji's covers grabbing the smaller body he hugged it tightly to himself and wrapped both of them in the toasty bed.

"How dare you Shinji" he whispered in the boy's ear "You're not allowed to be worried for me" a kiss was placed there before he hugged the boy closer to himself. Combining body heats.

Lance's vision began to drift and become blurry, but his grip stayed as strong. His fear returned back to him and he could see the replaying scene over and over as Shinji ran away from him.

"Please don't leave me" he whispered

"I can't be without you, you can't leave me Shinji"

His eyes open when he hears Lance talking on the phone. Then, closes then again when he hears Lance move from the chair, making it appear he'd fallen asleep, thinking that was what Lance was doing, checking to see if he was still awake or not. Shifting, he scoots down, trying to slip beneath the blankets, to hide his face from view.

However that wasn't what was goin on at all it seemed, and he jumps slightly when Lance suddenly joins him on the bed, briefly moving the covers, wrapping his arms around him and hugs him closely, the covers tightly pulled around them. For a moment he felt strange in the other's embrace, but that feeling passes quickly, and he felt like he naturally belonged there in Lance's arms.

Hearing the whispers, feeling the kiss on his ear, he turns so he was facing Lance. "I'm sorry..." He murmurs this, and hugs Lance as well, pressing hs face into the other's chest, hearing the heartbeat inside. "I'm so sorry...I feel so terrible for making you worry..." He sighs, and closes his eyes, about to drift off once more, when he hears what Lance says next.

"I won't...I won't leave... because I can t be without you either..." Tears silently fall down his cheeks, as he pressed closer against Lance, feeling the other tighten his grip. He could hear the others breathing becoming slower, as sleep started to overcome him.

After a short while he falls asleep again, promising himself he would never do that again. He didn't think he could handle it if he had to see Lance like this again. Right before he drifts off, he sighs again, and mutters a quiet "I love you."

Lance awoke by a fit of coughs that made him stand up and deeply gasps for breaths. He quickly checked if he awoken Shinji and ran out of the room coughing.

"Ah dammit, asthma" he said as he walked into the kitchen and reached for a glass of water and quickly began to set up the nebulizer, placing the mask over his face and began to intake large gasps of the chemicals.

His tired eyes wondered around the kitchen and the to the window, there he kept his eyes on the slowly falling snow. Soon the streets would be covered in it.

It was at that moment that Lance realized that they had yet to have a Christmas tree.

"Would Shinji even agree to that?" he asked himself through the mask

Shinji was not woken by the coughing, but the sudden absence of warmth at his side. His eyes open slowly, to find himself alone on the bed, and Lance gone. He frowns, but does not get up, at first anyways. Instead, he lays on his back, and sings to himself, softly. It was the lyrics to the movie he'd watched the other day.

"On top of the world, on top of it all, trying to feel invincible. I'm dying on top of the world." Humming the rest, he decides to get up, despitee the fact his whole body was aching and he felt like his head was filled with lead. Climbing off the bed, he quietly leaves the room, glances down the hall, towards Lance's room, before heading downstairs, still humming to himself.

He looks out the window, taking on the sight of the snow falling softly outside, making it look like they were in a world of white. Seeing a light on in the kitchen, he heads towards it, just in time to hear the question. Walking into the kitchen, he sees Lance sitting in a chair, some sort of mask over his face. Shinji had a faint idea of what it was.

"Would I agree to what?" He asks quietly, clasping his hands behind his back, before going over to the stove to heat up some water for making tea. While he waits for the water to boil, he pulls out two cups, as well as his special tin of teas, opening it, and picking out some that were good for you if you were suffering from a cold. He then puts them into the cups, pours the now hot water in them, and turns to place one next to Lance, putting sugar in his own, and drinking it while he stood there, glancing at Lance every now and then.

He removes the mask and breaths normal oxygen before answering "Christmas" he said cautiously as if the word was a bomb that required special attention. December was almost on them, and usually a small tree decorated the house even if it was just Lance by himself.

He didn't want to admit it, but the holiday was one that caused him great happiness, he loved the drinks and cinnamon cookies, plus all the other Western traditions like mistletoe and eggnog. But now he knew better than to bring it up or even ask Shinji to agree.

'The red' he told himself. The red color of the blood had caused Shinji to completely turn into someone else and now he wondered if anything that was red would have that effect.

"I won't force it but i-if anything can we a-at least cook something on that day and bake c-cakes" he suggested blushing deeply as he reached for Shinji's tea and took a sip of it before returning it

His face blanks at the answer he'd gotten. "Oh." Shinji, unlike Lance, was not a fan of the holiday. In fact, if he had to choose one emotion he felt towards it, he'd say he despised it. There were several contributing factors that calculated into the reason as to why he hated it so much.

Sipping again from his tea, he stares into the cup, swirling the liquid around inside it. For him, Christmas was spent indoors, sleeping, watching anime, reading manga, or gaming. Or doing all of the above. He avoided going out on that day, or the days leading up to it. Ever since SAO he'd stayed in, was actually told to keep from going out if he could. The reason, he wasn't sure.

He then hears Lance's suggestion, and looks up at him. "I guess we could. If you put a tree up...can I help?" Taking another sip of tea, he'd heard the nervousness in Lance's voice, making him wonder why. Finishing his drink, he washes the cup in the sink, dries it and puts it away. Shinji just hoped Lance wouldn't ask him to go out.

He had noticed the look on the others face. And instantly Lance knew that Christmas was off the table, but in general that would not stop him from giving the other a present.

And doing some research. The fact that the other had mention something relating to his small theory made him realize that a few people might be behind Shinji's sudden change.

"Well don't sweat it" he said pulling a smile, feeling his voice slightly crack due to the dryness of his throat "Something will be done"

He reached into the fridge for some milk and heated it up "Is there anything you want to do now?" he told the other

Shrugging, he really didn't think too much on the subject, trying to avoid it at all costs. Christmas was a day to hate in his opinion. And hate it he did. "Well, okay then..." He mutters, picking up Lance's empty tea cup and washing it in the sink, drying it and putting it away like he'd done with his iwn cup. He sighs softly, and begins to hum the song again, it was stuck in his head.

Turning to face Lance when he spoke up, asking if there was anything to do, he shakes his head. "No, not really...I could start my homework. But I'll have it finished in no time at all. I'd rather do it later, preferably tomorrow. Maybe watch some TV? Or read, I have a new manga I haven't started yet." He pauses, sitting down in a chair. "What about you?"

He didn't get a chance to sit for long when he heard a knock at the door. Frowning, he wonders who would be out in this weather. Getting up, he goes to the front door, looking out the window, seeing no one. Cautiously he opens the door, and looks down, seeing a large pile of envelopes, of varying size and color, held together with a rubber band. Leaning down, he picks them up, seeing the top envelope was addressed to him.

Turning around, he closes the door, and flips through the envelopes, all had his name on them. Frowning, he walks back to the kitchen, opening one as he walked. What he found inside made him freeze in the door way, his heart feeling like it had stopped. Inside, was a note, written on stationary paper with red roses, and red ink.

Don't forget, Christmas is coming up. Stay inside and don't freak out. Red just isn't your color.

Hands trembling, he pulls another letter out, and it read the same thing, just on different paper, and different hand writing. Though one thing was consistant. Each letter had something red on it, be it the paper, a design, the ink. Over and over, he opens letter after letter, before just dropping them on the floor, where they scatter at his feet. Shinji looked liked he was either on the verge of crying or freaking out.

He missed the door by a glance, a sheer second and before he could move Shinji was already at the door. It was rare for someone to knock, most of his friends called ahead of time. There was no reason for mail to come and if it was mail there was a mail box for that.

He turned around to look at the Shinji walking back into the kitchen before he could reach a pile of open letters fell on the floor. His heart skipped a beat as he took in the smaller boy's face.

'Shit' he told himself. Quickly he scanned the paper on the floor and in less than two steps he was next to Shinji, his large hands covering the small blue eyes. And making sure everything Shinji saw was black.

"Enough" he whispered "there is nothing. Nothing to see. Nothing to think about. Nothing but the soft wind outside and the falling snow"

His hands remained on the small face, but he guided the boy to where the stairs begun. "Go up and fill the bath, I will join you...if you'd like" he states.

----------------------------------------------------------

The colorful envelopes and letters were scattered on the floor, moving down to gather them Lance read each of them and their almost mocking message. Now they were placed on the table, one after, one after, one all reflecting the same thing.

Red

It took an almost far too ignorant person to see that it was mocking, almost to the verge of obsessive bullying.

'Someone, somewhere knows far more than what I know about Shinji, and what he knews about himself' he told himself as he moved to the paper shredder and watched as each of the letters turned into thin lines of nothingness. The, now destroyed letter, were placed in a black bag and thrown away, outside the house.

To Lance there was simple teasing, he had done it in his younger days as it had been done to him. But if there was a difference between then and now was the fact that one grew astute with age. Anger rose in him as he looked at the floor, which diminished as soon as it came.

"Little kids can play, but not in my field" he whispered to no one in particular "and when I call for pay back no one can top my scores... ever" if there was one thing he knew was that someone would be terribly hurt if this was repeated.

Just as he was about to flip his lid and go crazy, his eyes were suddenly covered by a pair of hands. All he could see now was the darkness they created, and he calms down, a single tear falling from his eye, and slowly sliding down his cheek, to drip to the floor below.

Hearing Lance's calm voice, his softly spoken words, helped him even more. He imagines the snow, could hear the wind in his mind, and a quiet sigh escapes his lips. No more red, no more thoughts of those cruel letters. Just the winter, and the voice Shinjj loved listening to so much.

Feeling himself being led away, his eyes still covered, they arrive at the bottom of the steps. He nods at Lance's suggestion, and blushes a bit at the offer to join him. "Alright...and will you? Please..." His voice was soft, and had a slight tremble to it. He hoped that Lance would actually join him.

Once released, he heads upstairs, and goes into the bathroom, and proceeds to fill up the bathtub, watching the water as it gushes from the faucet, steam swirling up to warmly caress his cheeks. He dips his finger in the water, flicking it and watching as the water first flies up and then calms, making quiet 'ploinking' sounds as it lands.

When it was done, he turns the faucet off, and pulls out a towel, before taking off his clothes, shivering slightly. He covers his cast with plastic, just a few more months and he wouldn't need it. He knew at some point it would get exchanged for a brace, since it hadn't been an actual clean break, but a fracture. Still, it was a pain. He was just glad it hadn't been his writing arm that had been hurt.

Going to the door of his room, he calls out to Lance. "Um...I'm uh...I g-got the bath done...s-so...yeah..." Retreating back into the bathroom, he carefully steps into the bath, and sinks his body into the water, sighing softly. It felt really good. Reaching for a washcloth, he begins to clean himself, once again humming that song. While, in his mind, he wondered why they were still doing those things to him. Every year they did that. And he knew, it was just the beginning. This was just the tip of the proverbial ice berg. Much worse was coming.

"Um...I'm uh...I g-got the bath done...s-so...yeah..."

Smiling Lance pushed his negative feelings aside and walked towards the bathroom. Quietly he watch Shinji for a bit, his white back now dripping with water, the small frame of his back stood out perfectly in the white bathroom. Slowly his feet walked against the cold tiles and his body dropped to the floor, his lips sinking on the side of Shinji's neck.

"Warm" he whispered as he began to remove this clothing and throw them to a far end of the bathroom.

The warmth of the bath relaxed every muscle in Lance's body.

"There was a time when I went on vacation to Alaska, they had hot jacuzzi baths and you could feel the heat coming from the water but the cold snow falling around you"

*Sighs*

"It was great" he said as his eyes slightly closed but he watch Shinji closely through a small crack

He was in the middle of singing the chorus to the song, while washing himself still, when he feels Lance's lips against the side of his neck. He shivers, and sighs softly, blushing a tiny bit. A smile forms on his lips, and he moves a bit so Lance had room to join him in the tub, his faint pink cheeks becoming darker as the naked body belonging to Lance got in the water with him.

Listening with interest, he had his legs shyly closed despite the fact Lance had seen him before. "I've never been out of Japan...that I can remember anyways...Maybe someday I'd like to visit another country... it would be fun..." Reaching for his shampoo, he washes his hair, squuezing his eyes shut so no suds got into them, rinsing it off by dunking his head into the water. After, he uses conditioner, rinsing it the same way when finished.

He then looks to Lance, clearing his throat softly. "Um...uh...w-would you w-wash my back please?" Holding out the wash cloth, he smiles at the other, his cheeks still flushed. "I-if you want...I'll wash....yours..." Giggling quietly, water drips down from his hair, which curled a tiny bit from being wet.

Moving his body around, careful to not let the water spill, he rests his head on Shinji's chest. One hand working on opening the tightly shut legs.

'Embarrassed how cute' he though to himself.

"You can wash it" he said, his hack touching the small chest of Shinji and felling his fast beating heart. His eyes close as he feels the other working on all spots of his head. Teasingly his hand, that had been on Shinji's knee now made its way up and touched the soft skin of the inner thigh.

"Your fingers are tickling me" he states to Shinji trying to keep a serious voice, Lance was far beyond enjoyment

His heart flutters gently as first Lance leans against him, then moves a hand to try and pry his legs open, which wasn't too hard to do, causing him to blush even more than he already was. "O-okay..." He nods, and first reaches for shampoo, washing it first, before rinsing it.

Then he begins to wash Lance's back, his fingers trailing gently across the bare skin. His breath catches gently in his lungs as he feels as Lance moves his hand from his knee, to his inner thigh, making his face red. He breathes out if his mouth, trying not to make any weird noises, but he couldn't help but make a soft sighing sound at the sensation touching his skin.

"S-sorry..." His hands move to wash Lance's lower back, the feeling of Lance's skin under his fingers making his heart beat harder. "S...so, um...I uh..." He had no idea what he wanted to say. Anything to distract himself...but at the same time, he felt Lance might be up to something.

"Yes?" asked Lance mischievously "I'm sorry I didn't catch that Shinji"

Lance felt the small hands run down his back causing him to slightly shivered. His eyes closed slightly at the sensation of the others touch. He'd been so busy that he had almost forgotten how good Shinji's skin feels. Backing away slightly he turned around so both their faces were inches away. The other's pink cheeks and lips were tempting and captivating.

"Say, Shinji do you like it when I touch here?" he asks. Lance's hand move up to were they had been resting now grasping the smaller boys bottom. His lips moved to rest over Shinji but did not kiss.

'How long will teasing last until you can beg' he asked himself as he kept his lips over Shinji's, their breaths softly exiting and matching with the heat of the water. Lance's sharp eyes closely looking at every move of Shinji's

"I-I...don't know... " He whispers, his voice trailing away to silence as Lance turns to face him, staring into the other's eyes, feeling his body already starting to get tingly, just by the look that Lance was giving him. He swallows in nervousness, wondering what the other was up to.

Hearing the question first, he was confused, but when he felt the hand grasp his bottom, he gasps, making a soft noise that wasn't quite a moan but close to it. He grasps the sides of the tub, and stares into Lance's eyes, feeling himself become even more heated than before, the edges of his ears were red, and his list parted just slightly.

At this point, he couldn't even answer the question, their lips were so close, yet so far, their breath brushing against each other, Lance's slightly minty, and Shinji's sweet. He shifts his body in the water, trembling a bit, his chest rising and falling quickly. "Ah...s-stop...teasing me...m-meanie..."

He reaches up with one hand, and brushes his finger tips across Lance's stomach. Biting his bottom lip, he he chews it lightly before talking again, making his soft bottom lip a bit darker. "K-kiss me...please...Lance..." Squirming, he couldn't stand the teasing for long.

He tightly closes his eyes at the touch of Shinji's hand. And burries their lips

together after hearing the words he'd wanted to hear. Needed to hear.

It scared him, even drove him crazy to think that Shinji could leave his life as fast as how he'd entered his life, but he found determination in the boys pleading words.

Heatedly they kissed tasting each other, depending on one another as if the word was ending and all that was left was that moment. Butting softly in Shinjis bottom lip Lance felt how the other reacted, loving the small desire that was beginning to form. His large arms wrapped around the other bringing him in closer.

Occasionally their lips would part for a gaps of breath and quickly return to each other. Lance's hand moved around the smaller back feeling the smoothness of Shinji's skin. The other rested over an erected nipple, teasing and playing it is. His lips left Shinji's for a brief second and moved to his ear role he softly bit down and whispered the others name.

A dark mark was left on Shinji's neck after Lance had sucked there and now his tongue made its way to the boys chest, a trail of hickeys being left behind

His pleading request was granted, and soon enough their lips collide, rather hungrily kissing each other, tasting each other, no wanting to be apart for a mere moment, only taking brief seconds to take a breath before they connect once again. How he ever thought that Lance would hate him, or think he was no longer worthy confused him, as his heart belonged to the older male. His heart, his body, mind and soul. He'd give it all to him, if it was asked, no regrets at all. He'd do it gladly, if he knew it would keep them together.

They belonged together, he knew that now, as he was pulled closer to Lance's body, his arms reaching to wrap around his shoulders, one hand reaching up to run his fingers through Lance's hair. They needed each other, and nothing would change that fact. To exist, to keep living...Shinji needed Lance, and God knew that Lance needed Shinji, to survive.

Feeling a hand his back, then moving along his skin across his nipple, playing with it, making it harden even more than it already was. And when Lance moves his mouth to his ear, then to his neck, making a trail down, he moans, his voice echoing slightly off the bath room walls, sounding faintly echoed. His legs move apart, no longer trying to keep them closed, his knees no longer pressed together.

He was already becoming aroused by this, and no doubt Lance would notice this, sooner or later. Shinji moans Lance's name, the mouth upon his skin almost torture to him, it felt so good. He knew he was going to be fine, even though he was so badly broken. He knew Lance would help fix him, and in the process...help Lance fix himself. "Lance...I love you..."
