pandamonium
Gray was constantly being astounded by the sights. He's always known a world of darkness, fear and hunger. Being in such a warm, sweet place was too much. He felt like he shouldn't be in such a place, or else he'd taint it. "It's so colorful and warm! She must really like it here!" He gently set her on the bed, wrapping the blanket on her poodle frame. He noticed the bunny and picked it up. It was so soft and smelt just like her. He licked it. At the corner of his eye he noticed something. A picture of Salem and Daisy. He smiled. They looked so happy.
JohnlockForLife
Salem ran his fingers through his sleeping sisters hair, the look in his yellow eyes full of grief. He tore his eyes from Daisy, looking at Gray. "Let's... let's just go. I hate seeing her like this..." whispered the smaller male. Salem turned to Daisy again, kissing her forehead, "sleep well my Flower." He whispered, before walking out of the room, his hands stuffed in the pockets of his tattered pants. pandamonium
Gray watched the way Salem brushed her hair. It was heartbreaking. When Salem told him that they should leave, he wasn't sure wanted to leave. He felt an urge to stay and keep an eye in her, but he did as he was told. He followed Salem outside of the room. He wasn't sure what to do or say. After a bit of silence, he spoke. "Is she going to be okay?"
JohnlockForLife
Salem gave a nod, keeping his back facing Gray. He wasn't going to show the man any sign of weakness... he just wasn't. "I've... I've got a plan to save her," Salem said. The red head stopped at a red door, and opened it for Gray. "We'll be sharing a roon for a while, if that's okay with you? I need to see what rooms are available, but I'll do that in the morning."
pandamonium
Gray felt relieved. The little girl won't have to suffer much longer, he hoped. They arrived at a red door, Salem motioning him inside. He cautiously entered. He looked around the room. He'd be sharing a room with Salem? He was excited. A chance to be with him, together. He grinned. "Thank you!" He grew serious at the thought of Salem's sister. "I'd like to help you help your sister. What can I do?"
JohnlockForLife
Salem gave Gray a cocky smirk, crossing his arms. "You'll know in time," The red head walked over, grabbing a stray King chess piece that stood besides his bed. "But, the idea I have will change everything." Yellow eyes met with Gray's, his fingers twirling the chess piece in his fingers, before putting the King down. "Gray, I owe you a lot. My sister, as I've mentioned before, is my whole entire world. For you to help her, is something I will never forget. So, if there is anything in the world you want, what would it be?"
pandamonium
Gray sat dumbfounded. He had no such thing as desires. Except for the desire to eat and live. Nothing else crossed his mind. "I have no desires. So I desire nothing." He began to think. What is it that I desire? He thought to himself. After a few minutes of thinking, he turned to Salem. His gray eyes focusing harshly towards Salem. "What is it that you desire, Salem?" He stood starting intently asst Salem.
JohnlockForLife
"What I desire?" Salem repeated, his eyebrows raised in curiosity, and surprise. He was quiet for sometime, a smile spreading across is face slowly, before he threw his head back and roared with laughter. "What I desire, has already been achieved. I have gold, and a crew, and I have this old hunk of a ship to call my own. I have a sister I love dearly, and a Seagull I could drive all I want. I'm a pirate Gray, I take what I want. The only thing I have yet to get, is my sisters health." Salem began to walk around Gray, his eyes never straying from Gray. "So, I'll ask again, what is it you want. This isn't about me, Gray. This is about you." The red head stopped in front of Gray, his arms crossed.
pandamonium
Gray stood, thinking. What is it that he desires? He rarely thought of that. He watched Salem as he walked around him. After a bit of thinking, he sighed in defeat. "I really do not know what I want. I only desire food and survival. Other then that...I never thought about it." He grasped his tattered shirt. Keeping his head low. He felt lost.
JohnlockForLife
Salem looked up at him in silence for sometime, before his face was covered in a wide grin. He gave a hard pat on Gray's back, "no need to figure everything out right at this moment." His eyes traveled to the tattered shirt, looping his finger through a hole near Gray's belly button. "For the moment, how about a new shirt?"
pandamonium
He snapped out of his thoughts as he felt a finger near his belly button. His body tensed out of reflex. “Huh? Oh, yeah, you are right. I will decide later." He looked at his shirt. Survival was always a priority. Alongside his need for food. He pulled at his shirt. "It'd something wrong with my shirt? Does it botheryou? If it does, let me get rid of it." He removed his shirt. Showcasing his thin ashy gray form. Purple bruises peppered his body. JohnlockForLife
Salem's eyes widened at the other man's body, his focus turning towards the many bruises on his body. His fingers glided around his body, his fingers always stopping at a bruise. Why did he look in such bad shape? Tearing his eyes away, Salem turned to grab something out of his closet. "It just gets chilly here..." Salem whispered, hiding hia frown from the other man. Why would anyone hurt Gray? Salem pulled out a large shirt, that would be much too big for the small male. "Here you go, it was my father's, but I never wear it. You could had it if you want." Salem threw the shirt at Gray from behind his back, keeping his back turned. Why was Gray trying to run from his friends and family? Did it have something to do with the bruises?
pandamonium
Whenever Salem's fingers brushed his skin, he couldn't help but tense up. He want afraid of Salem, but having someone touch him would Cassidy him to panic. He tried to calm himself. He was being too tense and anxious. He carefully got a hold of Salem's shirt. He looked at it, feeling the material on his face. "This is you're father's? Was he a pirate, too?" He sniffed it. It had a musty scent. He slipped it on. It felt much softer than his tattered shirt. He grinned. He'd never been treated so kindly. "Thank you. I am truly grateful for it."
JohnlockForLife
Salem turned around, smiling at Gray. "No, he was an engineer. He taught me everything I know about building and fixing Seagull's and stuff." The pirate rubbed his neck, looking off to the side. "Hey... Gray, you're safe here. So, if you ever feel scared, just know I'm an ass kicking machine, and I'll protect you!"
pandamonium
Gray was amazed. "Wow! He must have been a smart man!" He chuckled and nodded when Salem told him that he'd priory him. He felt his chest swell. "Thank you! I know. I was surprised that you could fight so well when those men were so tall compared to you."
JohnlockForLife
His eye twitched, hos arms crossing. "I am not small. I'm an average height, all of them are just giants!" Salem hissed, turning his back to calm down. "Thanks though... I take pride on my fighting. I like watching those giant fuckers tumble down, because of my doing." Salem snickered, turning back to him. "Gray, may I ask you a question?
pandamonium
Gray's eyes widened. He hadn't seen him hey mad until now. He must not like being told that he's short. He reminded himself not to speak of Salem's height again. Or else face his wrath. He gulped in fear. He's seen what he could do and would rather not die. He snapped out of his inner thoughts. "Hmm? Oh! Yeah! You can ask me anything. What do you want to ask?" He was curious to know what Salem needed to ask him.
JohnlockForLife
Salem wanted to know how he got the bruises, his lips even opened to ask the question, but he quickly shit them. He didn't want to ask anything too personal. Not yet at least. "Where have you been, besides the Rock?" Salem asked, stuffing hod hands in his pockets of his jeans. This was another question Salem wanted to ask, but it wasn't Eating at him like the other was.
pandamonium
Gray looked at him. He stared intently waiting for him to ask him anything. Once he was asked of where else he's gone, he shook. "I've always lived underground. When you met me on the Rock, that was my first time on the surface." He looked around his surroundings. "It's a lot brighter up here than down there. Kinda hurts my eyes." He looked at Salem. "Have you been anywhere else?"
JohnlockForLife
"I've been everywhere, with the exception of Underground. But, that's not important." Salem smiled, "I think I'll take you to Yulix!" Salem placed his hands on his hips, giving Gray a wide grin. "I'll be back! I've got to talk to my Navigator about it!" Salem dashed out of the room in high spirits. The man truly wanted to do something for Gray. He looked like he had been through hell, he's been nowhere, and he helped Daisy out. Salem felt as if he owed him something.
pandamonium
"Wait! It's fine! You don't need to go through all the trou-" He left before he had a chance to tell him. He sighed, plopping in the ground. He sat cross-legged, waiting for Salem. But...I am curious about this Yulix. Is it a god of sorts or is it something else? I'll have to ask Salem... He anxiously waited for Salem's return.
