Now a freshman at Kaijou High, Kise was the rookie of the "Generation of Miracles". Since he only started playing basketball in his second year of middle school, Kise was his team's least experienced member, and notes himself the weakest of the five. Kise's unique skill is his ability to mimic the moves and plays of other players. The only moves he cannot copy are the special skills of truly exceptional players, like the other members of the "Generation of Miracles". Beyond being a strong player in his own right, Kise respects Kuroko's abilities and wishes to play with him once again. Aomine was the ace of Teikou's team, embracing an aggressive and liquid style, made even more powerful by Kuroko's misdirection. In fact, Aomine was once Kuroko's "Light", before Kagami. Incredibly fast and versatile, Aomine's strength lies in his unpredictability, as well as an uncanny ability to shoot from virtually any position.

 

In his second year in middle school, Aomine inspired Kise to play basketball and he became his training partner. Kise was still a complete rookie, apart from his copying ability, and Aomine was obviously stronger than him, but Aomine kept training with Kise, just because he loves basketball. He taught Kise a lot and became his mentor/idol. During that time, Aomine also became the ace of the team.

 

Though he loves basketball, he has grown sardonic and unenthusiastic toward the sport, skipping practice and even arriving late for important matches. This is due to his frustration in not being able to find an opponent capable of matching his skill, and thus making him conclude that the only one that can defeat him is he himself.

 

He and Momoi are childhood friends. Even though he doesn't show it, he's actually really fond of her, and they have a sibling-like relationship.

One of the most perfect days as always, the blond woke up from his beautiful dream...yawning in silence as he sat up up on his bed...looking at the beautiful view which could be seen from the outside of the window. A smile appeared on the blond's face as he stretched his body and got off his king size bed...walking outside of the room with his blue T-shirt and the shorts he was sleeping with. He didn't care much since he was living alone now and with no annoying sisters to bother him...he could finally have his life of relaxation. With keeping his modeling which it seemed to make him more and more successful in each day. Now he was no of the most famous Tokyo's models and probably most of the girls died to see him. His magazines began to be requested more and more after getting an adult and he saw that he could make his own life with the money he got with the job and without knowing it himself...he started to doing it as his main job. He sighed remembering those things once more, though it wasn't that bad...he was enjoying his life though that only thing was that he never found himself a girlfriend to go out with and this was the main project of the news which if he was going to be serious with getting married or who could be his girlfriend though Kise knew himself well that he wouldn't be able to love anbody else than the one he promised to his heart.

The blue orbs of Aomine suddenly snapped open but then a pile of paper near him buried him due the time his body jumped from his seat. "O-ouch.." he rubbed his head and sighed at the sight in front of him. He fell asleep after finish his criminal paper jobs. Yeah, now he worked as a cop but he was unlucky this month because one of another staff in office was sick so he must replace that office job for a couple of weeks. But the job was really tiring than have a duty on the street, too much paper to handle with. But the tanned male stunned for a moment as he remember why he jumped and waken up so sudden. That dream.. "why I have to dream when I was still in middle school.. and it was about Kise!" he muttered with a low sighs then pinched his nose. "aah, whatever.. I want to go home now.." he cleaned all the paper stuff back on the table and pick his bag and walk out of the office. The tall male waved to a couple of his comrade cops then make his way to his apartment. With dragged step, he finally reached his home without passed out. Aomine unlock his apartment and almost sick of himself cause the whole room of his apartment full of trash and dirty clothes. "I'll cleaned it later.." he muttered the same words as he arrived to his home. He throw his bag on the floor and slumped his body on his simple bed. Then the memory of his dream before hit his mind again. "what's wrong with my head.." he groaned and ruffled dark blue hair, didn't want to admit that he missed the blonde male so much though he always seen Kise's face on every board of advertisement. "what's he doing right now?" he wondered with a heavy sighs.

Kise could only felt his heart hurt again when he reminded the promise to himself...he closed his eyes while he was standing next to the window of his living room. He let his beautiful yellow hair which now it was a bit more longer than it was in high school to dance with the cool breeze coming out of the open window...the sun could make the blond more shinier than before. He let go of his folded arms and then closed his eyes walking away from the window to his kitchen. He was a day free and didn't need to go for the shooting again...recently there has been so many rumors and news about him that pisses him off...the more they talk about Kise, more the reporters would gather around his house. He could finally relax one day at his own play and maybe go and play some basketball in a private gym which only some people could go there. He stretched himself once more as he felt like making himself a coffee...he prepared the toasted bread ass his coffee was done too. He sat on his small but pretty nice table which was designed with a beautiful sunflower in a vase and started to have his simple breakfast. That was the time when his phone started to ring and made him a bit annoyed...he sighed as he placed his cup of coffee down and then walked to the phone of his...unlocked the screen as his eyes widened to see the name on top of the message. It was unbelievable! He blinked to make sure that he had seen it right and he was...it was Kuroko, his friend and teammate from middle school and his rival in high school...one of the people that he respect. A happy smile came to his face, he excitedly read the message. Kuroko, after many years out of no where asked him if he could hang out like old times and Kagami was coming too. With no hesitation, he sent a yes along with some greeting words. Kuroko didn't mention but he was actually inviting everyone to hang out and he send every other the same message so that they won't intend to not come because they didn't want to see one of the guys...Kuroko wanted to gather them all together once more, definitely.

Aomine buried his face within the pillow beneath him and growled slightly as his words keep echoing on his head. "ah, he won't ever think about me.. he must be busy with his modeling stuff.." he convinced himself though a moment later his words backfire to himself; an insecure feeling start to drowned him cause he missed the blond badly just because a slight dream on his sleep. "whatever.. I must busied myself.." he muttered and darted his gaze around his messy room. Yeah, he really have something to busy himself, his messy room must be cleaned now! Get up from the bed lazily, the tanned male start to gathered all his trash first after prepare a big black plastic trash bag for the trash that start to mountain on his apartment. He need half hour to cleaned to all the trash on every of his room and gathered all his dirty clothes. After putting his dirty clothes on the wash machine, he sighed tiredly and glanced at his-now-clean-room, smiled at his hard work. Since he start to life alone and have a job as a cop, he never had time to cleaned his room or even wash his clothes. His work always pile up and more increase as he start to replacing his comrade cops job on the office.

 

"haa.. I must be more aware of myself or I'll be passed out at anytime.." he sighed and walked toward his living room but stopped as his phone vibrated on his pocket. "hmm? It's a rare I got message.." he muttered and walked again and throw his body on the couch and slide his screen phone. 'Tetsu?' his eyes widen as he looked at the name on the screen and open the message quickly. His grin flashed after send a yes to his former shadow. "It's been a long time I never saw him.. this is will be exciting.." he muttered as closed his eyes and leaned on the couch. "was Tetsu invite everyone? if yes, I could meet him again..." he somehow smiled at his own words, really can't wait with the hangout plan and still hoping his words come true.

Kise couldn't help but feel happy after receiving another message from the light blue haired boy which made him make a happy expression. Kuroko, this time sent him the time and the place which he should come to...It was actually around an afternoon and in a basketball court which all of them used to play basketball much in middle school. He sent him back an OK as he placed his phone back on the sofa...he was really excited right now. Dating in a court meant that they were going to play basketball so he was excited. He couldn't help but to feel impatient about playing with them and specially that Kagami...just thinking about it made him grin as he was walking back to his table, finishing his breakfast...since the red boy's basketball seemed a lot like Aomine's when in high school. Just remembering why he admired Kagami's basketball made his smile to disappear...he remembered him again...the person that he confessed to and he dated but now none of those were real, they were just memories in the blond's mind. They broke up long time ago so he had to forget him...it wasn't like that he was going to meet him ever again so why...his heart just wouldn't have convinced to throw him away?

 

 

The boy tried to snap out of the thoughts...he was really happy about afternoon anyways that time didn't past fast for him...his blood started to overflow when the time was getting closer. He knew that his friends already knew him as a big model so he should be stylish going there. He started to search for the best sport clothes that he'd ever had...he finally found the thing he wanted to wear. He took a very cool blank sport pants with a yellow T shirt and a red jacket though he didn't wear that one, just wore it around his waist which made him so cool. He wore a white hat and a sunglasses as always so that he wouldn't be noticed by fans..when he looked at the clock, he realized that it was already the time to leave . He took his things and wore his red port shoes, decided to take a taxi to the place...he was wondering how did the two other looked like now...

Another buzz of vibrating from his phone could be heard again, made the tanned male open his eyes and reached his phone that he put on the table near the couch. Sliding his screen phone again, he read the next message from his former shadow. "ooh, so we gathered this afternoon.. and he's really good at picking place.." he muttered slightly before sending a yes to the short boy. Aomine really couldn't wait until he meet with his buddy and while remember the court as their meet place it's really burned his old spirit, though it's long time since the last time he played basket ball and he still think his basket skill not gone yet. But as realization hit his mind, he jumped from his seat and glanced at the clock. "oh crap! if I meet with Tetsu this afternoon, I must finish my dirty clothes first..." he sighed and get up from the couch and walked toward his wash machine though his body still in sleepy and tired mode.

 

When finally all his stack of dirty clothes were clean, he hang all his clothes under the sun on the balcony of his apartment. The taller male almost passed out when he finish his job house but manage to not lies on the floor but on his comfy couch. "I hate cleaning jobs.." he groaned slightly before closing his eyes but snap it open again as remember his meeting with Tetsu. "no! don't sleep again..." he slapped his cheek and shake his head to make the sleepy feeling gone. Then after take his shower fast and change his cop uniform that still he wear since before, he looked more freshen. For his hangout today, he wear a white blank shirt and dark blue jacket with trousers that had matched color with his jacket. Grabbing his phone and other stuff then put his hoodie of the jacket on his head and his sport shoes, he walked out his apartment and locked it start to walk on the sidewalk to the court that a bit far from his place.

Kise didn't know how it happened but he was almost there and for some reason, his heart was beating faster and faster each second it passed...was it because he missed his old friends? Probably not! He thought in the inside because more he tried to find the answer, more he found it that it wasn't about Kuroko or Kagami...it was a strange feeling coming to him, like something important is going to happen? But what? He was curious to know and he knew once he got there...he would find it out soon. After half an hour the taxi stopped, it made Kise to stop daydreaming and looking outside of the window as he saw the familiar court there. It made him smile, he paid the driver as he left the car...his eyes couldn't drift away from the field and the two baskets at both sides. He slowly walked through the road, happily as he could see it better when getting closer and finally saw three familiar people. Also, surprisingly the green head boy was there too...it made him smile deeper as he rushed to the old friends...Kise wasn't that clingy like during the high school anymore but still exited when talking to the person he respect.

 

"Kurokochi, Kagamichi I'm here!" He said out a bit loud but still cool, he hoped that he was not late...It made Midorima to turn his way back from Kagami, looking at him with the same usual cold face. Kuroko showed a slight smile when he was called...He walked to the blond as he bowed his head, talking with the same voice as back then...he didn't change at all and just a bit taller than before. "Good afternoon Kise kun, it has been a long time..." Kise was so happy that the other realized him, he was still gazing through the glasses boy until he looked away, it made Kise to focus on the blue haired. "Hey, it should has..." He paused..."I really missed you..." He said with beautiful chuckle..."Is it okay if I give you a hug?" Kuroko didn't make an annoyed expression anymore, maybe he didn't mind since it was a long time they haven't seen and nodded to accept. Kise slowly hugged his best friend but not in a clingy way, cause the shorter male to hug him back gently...he fast moved back, happy. Afterward he walked to the two others, keeping the smile. "How are you Kagamichi? Oh and I didn't know that you were coming, Midorimachi! How have you been?" Midorima looked back at him and had a market on his hand, probably today's lucky item! It made Kise chuckle...Midorima sighed. "It's the same for me Kise and I've been fine as always." He answered. Kise wondered why didn't Kuroko didn't tell him he was coming though he could never imagine that Kuroko was actually planning to bring all together, especially him and Aomine since he was the only guy who knew they were dating...

The tanned male on the sidewalk with a big yawn, though the sun already this high he still felt sleepy. "Next week, I will tell the headquarter to shift back to my usual work." he muttered, stretched both of his arm while keep walking; passed a couple of houses and building. Aomine sighed as he passed another block, his apartment actually a bit far and now he regret to go there just by walk than take a taxi. 'but it's good for my body right? being isolated on the office make my body stiffen and if I meet with Tetsu on the court maybe we will play basket ball so warm up since now it's good thing..' he though with a wide smile. Just basket ball that always waken up his spirit though with his job now he had no time to play that basket ball that he loved so much. While he felt happy about the meeting with Tetsu he remembered something, Tetsu and the red head―Kagami―always together so Tetsu must invited all the generation miracle since he was a fair person. That mean... Kise will come too! That though make the blue haired's heart pounded so fast. "whoa.. what's with that conclusion.. if that true why am I just think about that blonde?" he flustered still with heart that still pounded fast.

 

Aomine shakes his head as try to make his silly though gone but his blue orbs catch someone that really familiar while he turned to another way. 'that pink hair...' he though then decided to called the person. "Oi, Satsuki.." The pink haired young woman turned her head and smiled happily. "Is that you, Dai-chan? it's been a long time.." she greeted happily. Aomine just smiled as seeing his childhood friend that now already become an adult woman. "yeah, It's been a long time.. why were you here?" he asked keep walking cause the other was walk the same way like him. "what's with that question.. It's been a long time but you still meanie like usual, Dai-chan.." Momoi pouted then added. "I want to meet up with Tetsu-kun on the court.." The blue eyes of Aomine widen as heard the other said that but tried to calm his face. "e-eh? so we are same then.." he replied then tilted his head to the court that already near. "let's go together, Tetsu maybe already waiting us.." Momoi just nodded with a smile. 'just as I though! maybe the other and Kise will come too..' the tanned male couldn't help but grinned and at the moment they reached the court, his gaze already darted to the the blonde male that stand beside the person that inviting him, Tetsu. Aomine just stare at Kise and didn't budge from his spot until Satsuki's voice waken his daydream. "hi minna!" the pink haired woman called all the people that gathered on the court. Gulped slightly, he tried to smile yet it was hard. "Oi Tetsu.. you didn't tell me you invite everyone..." he greeted the light blue head friendly then glanced at the other. "yo, midorima, kagami! and Kise you come too.." he glanced with a slight smile even though his heart couldn't stop beating fast cause he see the yellow head really stand in front of him.

Kise was happy that they were all together again...he saw the Kagami as usual like back in high school was taller than him and still cool...Kise liked it, the body reminded him of the tanned male though in the real game he probably knew that without Kagami entering the zone...he could barely won him back then...Ahh, they had a great time back then...they even managed to get along well all in the third year of high school but after graduation...he didn't probably see no of them but Kuroko a few times and also Akaski...Kise kept his beautiful expression though it wasn't real like those times...in his teenage times he really enjoyed his life playing basketball and it was only for one person...the blond always told himself ' if I hadn't meet that person that day, if I wasn't hit in the head by that basketball in that day...I would have never knew that how much fun basketball was...yes I admire that person from now on...' Aomine was the only reason for him when started basketball. But where he was now...from his 17 years...'about 8 years, huh1' He thought inside...he had truly missed him...he wanted to see him but he knew he wouldn't get the chance to do so.

 

He laughed gently after talking to Midorima as he walked closer tried to make up a conversation so that he could get rid of the stupid past thoughts. "Mou~ do you still believe in those lucky item stuff Midorimachi?" It made Kuroko to smile as his eyes fell. Midorima was pissed off...he glanced at the handsome boy, couldn't deny that he was more hot than before. "Even if your face is shining everywhere in the news, you are still the same cheerful and clingy person, Kise..." Kise groaned. "Mou~ but that's a good thing, isn't it Kurokochi?" He said Kuroko let his eyes open, looking that them. "I wonder..." Midorima turned around as he sighed. "Like I care about it..." Kise laughed as he suddenly heard something barking...he turned back at he saw Nigou coming to him. He felt a bit happy. He saw him running to him and jumped on him...he slowly hugged the big dog which was very small in the high school started to lick him. "Whoa~ You've grown up Tetsuya 2#" He said as he started playing him but suddenly felt strange in his heart. And that was the time when a familiar voice came...a voice of the girl which has become an adult now...a cool breeze got passed from his blond hair as he looked through the direction, his eyes widened when seeing Momoi and....someone so special to him...why was he there? What was happening? The dog suddenly jumped away from him to go to Aomine. Kise stood up from the court, couldn't get his eyes from the tanned male. He couldn't believe it...he didn't even know what to say to his greeting. He just gazed until maybe he got satisfied from looking.

Time seems stopped as Aomine's blue orbs gazed at the yellow bright eyes of his past love; Kise. He didn't know why but he couldn't take his gaze from that clingy and cheerful boy that already grew to handsome male now. The one thing that waken him from his daydream was a barking from the familiar dog that run to him. He pick up nigou and ruffled its hair while that dog licked his cheek. "you sure grow fast, Nigou.." he chuckled, felt tickled and that dog seems happy when see him. The tanned male walked closer to the other and notice his high school rival, tried to recover from his surprise because seeing the blonde male. "whoa, you come too, bakagami!" he shouted which glared by Kagami. "Ha?! you wanted to pick a fight, huh?" then both of them laughed instead cause they act still same like eight years before, bring some old memories. His blue eyes stared at the glasses male that still bring weird things on his hands. "Midorima, you still bring lucky item stuff? you're not changed at all, eh?" he teased the green head but it seems Midorima already pissed by something first so he let the other be. The blue haired male smiled widely and nudged his former shadow, still hadn't any brave to talk to the model. "Tetsu, you really surprise me, you know.. why were you not telling anything on the message, huh?" yet Kuroko seems really good at observing and signed him to talk to the yellow head soon. Yeah, he's the only one who know his relationship with Kise when three of them still in middle school. Aomine sighed then nod slightly and wanted to talk to Kise while a lazy but familiar voice greeted them

 

"eeh.. everybody already gathered, huh? even kise-chin, mido-chin, and mine-chin was here too.." Murasakibara stand in front of the entranced of the court, still with snack on both of his hands. Momoi who see the tallest male first almost jumped in happiness. "whoa, It's been a long time, muk-kun.." she pulled the purple head closer to the other. "did you grow taller again, Murasakibara?!" Kagami exclaimed, he must look up at snacking male. "ah, it's just your feeling, Kaga-chin.. I didn't grow up again..." Murasakibara just answered lazily as usual while chewing his snack. The other people was attracted to Murasakibara until they forgot about Aomine that just come before. 'geh, I'm being forgotten just by a couple of minutes.. but that purple head sure not changed much except his height that seems more tall, eh?' he chuckled softly then realize he must to talk to Kise since he didn't in the crowd that greeted Murasakibara but he seems still dazed somehow. Heaved a sigh, the tanned male walked toward Kise and smiled like he usual do. "so, how's this model life now.. I always see you when I walked back from my jobs, you know.. you're really famous now, Kise.." he crossed his arm still with his smile, then a couple flashed of memory when they still in relationship crossed his mind when he saw that cute face which always never gone from his head though they never meet again since seven or eight years.

Kise was still looking at the other without any shame since he actually forgot the reality so he couldn't look away. The man...the man that he always loved and he still did was there, in front of him and only a few steps away from him and by seconds passing...those steps and distances were disappearing and more he got closer, more he felt his heart beating faster and faster, more he felt nervous but he didn't let him see in his expression. Of course not! They were both adults and old enough to notice that they broke up long time ago and Aomine was the one who did it so he had to let go of the stupid thoughts but he was just getting hopeful, just by seeing the other's face again...he sure has changed, despite of Kise that only grew a little taller, Aomine seemed to be really tall now, at the same height as Midorima and even his muscles were more beautiful than beautiful...his blue hair was still the same and that was what he liked about him..his voice...he voice was breath taking and he couldn't concentrate with that. Kise wanted to run to him and hug him...why was he there anyway? He was just supposed to be the one he invited so why everybody were coming. And after he saw Murasakibara, he had to doubt that Akashi would come to this kind of 'hang out' too. He was glad anyway he came since he could distract the tanned males attention even for a moment and he found the time to collect himself as he cheerfully greeted to the tallest male. "Hey, Murasakibarachi...hehe I think Kagamichi is right, you really gotten taller again..." He said in a gentle tone of voice. He tried to act like old times.

 

He wondered if it was rude since he didn't greet Aomine but he realized him coming closer again until he was right in front of him Aomine was the person he admired though never reached him and after years which the tanned male was out of his side...he was now there and instead of Kise, he was the one who came closer...Did he reach him now? Kise doubt that since he could feel the heavy conversation between them, where were those gentle words? Where were those greeting kisses and hugs? Where were those confessions? Kise could still remember them even after all those years. He wanted to shout and say that how much he wished to experience them but he knew he couldn't. Even though after all these pains, he was still delighted to see him. He could calm himself down after a while as he smiled not to cheerfully at him and then let his eyes fell, his hands shoved into his pockets. "It's good enough as I know...and yeah, I think I'm being the way too popular...it's so hard to go out like this..." He muttered and opened his eyes, looking at a side...he didn't look into his eyes...not anymore since he knew that he couldn't take it. Their conversation broke as he heard a familiar voice and turned back to see who it was. It was Akashi and the last person...as expected! He smiled as he walked to him, glad enough that he appeared so he didn't have to keep the conversation. "Akashichi...good evening!" He said and then stood in front of him and started to talk with him...Kuroko and Midorima came to greet him to...he was really taller than before but still a calm and scary person. Kise could be standing far from the tanned male now but his whole thoughts were captured by him.

The memory that still flashed on Aomine's mind bring back him to remember the bitter event when the day he broke up with Kise. Yeah, he's the one who wanted to ended their relationship, just because his ego that wanted to search another rival that could against his skill on basketball. He know that was silly act but all of this happened cause he couldn't take or maybe he hate when played basketball with people that already given up as he start to fired up with spirit. And with reason that they weren't not in same school at the high school so they couldn't keep their relationship must be break apart Kise's heart. All of that memory really distracted himself, he immediately looked up at the blonde male that his chest tighten cause knowing his worst nightmare come true―the model didn't even look at his face and his tone of voice was really different from the old times―. The tanned male cleared his throat to make his lump on it gone as he talked again. "ooh, glad you always in good condition.. well, I think your fans will piled up if they know you're here.." he forcing a smile to the other, he even didn't sure if his voice cracked or not. But this is all his fault so he must take it like a male, it's his karma for making the one person he love broken heart. Shoved his hand in his jacket pocket, he tried to make himself cheer up and luckily Akashi; the person that he guess won't come to event like this, walking inside the court. 'oh come on, Aomine. you're already twenty five years old! don't act like a corny man.' he nagged himself before make a pure smile and walked closer to Akashi though he keep his distance far enough from Kise.

 

The cop crossed his arm as he looked to his former captain that still looked scary for him, then glanced to Kuroko. "Tetsu, I never know you could convince Akashi to come too, you're great as always.." he grinned and smiled at the male that already grow taller again. "Yo, Akashi.. long time no see you.." Momoi was the one who seems didn't scared and greeted Akashi cheerfully and Kagami a bit stand far from his last rival on winter cup but manage to greeted him Akashi as well. Murasakibara like the usual still chewed his snack and greeted the red head as well, waved a bit. Though the blue eyes male manage to smile his heart still crushed, he can't stop think about Kise. He wanted so badly to pulled the yellow head out of that place and apologize or maybe he can bend down to ask his forgiveness... He wanted to hugged the male tight and said he won't leave him again, never! The guilty really drowned him, more over than that, the way Kise talk to him and with other people in the court was really different... it showed him that the model wanted to ignored or hate him now. Aomine now didn't enjoy this hang out at all though he can meet with his old friend, his childhood or his rival on basketball. He really didn't know what will he do now but after this he must talk with Kise just two of them and cleared this misunderstanding or he will regret it all his life.

Kise couldn't believe how carefree could Aomine talk to him, he was the one who broke up, right? Oh, that's right...he sighed after hearing the other's reply...still not looking at him while talking with others, not letting his eyes to be blocked up by any chances to the blue orbs at all...he remembered that he was the one who broke up with him so he didn't care much talking like that, maybe he already had forgot that they were going out...Kise doubt nothing, he always believed at that the tanned male didn't love him so that was the reason he broke up with him. He never loved him at the first place...Kise asked him out and confessed but he probably thought that Aomine just wanted to try it out, how it would feel to go out with a model and more important, a male! But for Kise, for him those were all real...those three magical words that he always said to him during middle school, those holds and kisses...for hard situations and those risky moment..those breathes and touches were all real and precious for him. He was lost in loving him so he never want it to end...but it did....on that rainy day, a hard times of the team when Aomine wouldn't come to practice much...it hurt, it hurt so much for the blond and the fact that he wouldn't play with him on the same team in high school...they would break apart, it hurt! The most hard time was that he couldn't defeat him in high school so that...somehow he would capture the boy's heart again...so that his little hope would become true and he might come to him but he ever did it...and the most painful part was to see Kuroko and Kagami defeated him...he didn't find the chance to try another time...he was hopeless, completely.

 

Kise popped out of the stupid thoughts though he seemed like to listen to the conversation but he wasn't following at all. He blinked at the side which Kuroko was standing next to him, he seemed that he asked him a question...he looked back at the front and saw them all made a circle and got all warmed up like in middle school though the difference was that Kagami was added to them..it felt nice and he missed those times so much...he glanced fast that Aomine as he took his look...he was glad that he was standing far enough from him to not lose his limps...he looked back at the light blue haired boy and then smiled gently at him. Try to act cool. "What did you say again, Kurokochi...?" He asked as the shortest boy sighed and then looked up back at him. "I said that you you sure have improved from the time in high school in your modeling...I couldn't imagine you going this far..." He said, Kise sightly laughed...he might have been a bit too famous now so that his friends would ask him all about modeling...he nodded as he opened his eyes, looking fast at other males and Momoi. "Well, yeah...I can rarely go out like this...The reporters are after me all the day if I don't wear something to hide my face.." He paused and added. "I know there has also been some stupid rumors about me going about with someone..." Though he didn't wish to explain more..."How about you guys...? I'm interested to know!" He asked curiously...Akashi was standing next to him as he smiled in a cool way. "Me and Ryouta have seen each other a few times though...last time was six months ago I think...Anyways...I'm working in a building as a business man now" Kise nodded. Then he realized that Kuroko was a babysitter now and Midorima a doctor which really suit them but the most part he was interested about was Aomine and what he had been doing...

Aomine tried hard to follow his old friend's conversation and nodded a couple of times though his mind was chaotic. He couldn't hold himself again, he want to pull the blonde male right now and having a heart to heart conversation...His guilty start to eating him up. But Kuroko's question and Kise's unexpectedly answer jolted his mental, he snapped his head up and bit his lips to hold his voice that wanted to asked more. 'Kise's rumors? is it true or just gossip? but he seems so happy when talk it to the other.' he wondered. Yet Aomine was really in last patience, now everything seems a bit clear for him; Kise hate him―it could be seen by his act to the tanned male who was really cold and ignoring him as well―, and the model now had other person that already filing his heart which he broke long time ago. 'should I give up now?' he questioning himself again on his mind. Heaved a slight sighs, the tanned male tried again to make up his mind and pretend like there nothing that bother him and prefer to listen to the story of Akashi; he's rarely talk after all so he's a bit interested. "hmm, it's cool, Akashi.. businessman really suit you well.." he commented followed by a nod from Momoi. "Whoa it's great job, Akashi.." she smiled then glanced at Kise as he asked the other jobs. "Oh now, I was a designer on a small company on the town.. well, I'm still not good actually but I really love my job.." the pink haired girl said happily.

 

Meanwhile, Murasakibara still eat his snack, he told the other his job as well. "I think I'm the one who lucky here.. I'm a chef now so I can eat anything that I cooked.." he smiled while imagine the foods. Momoi and Kagami just sweat drop after heard the purple head's story. Then Kagami smiled proudly as the yellow head asked. "All you guys indeed had a cool jobs, but I think my job more cool. I'm a firefighter now.." he rubbed his chin in proud way but then the cops raised his eyebrow and crossed his arm. "oi-oi.. where's the cool thing from your job, Kagami? you just become smeared with smoke and turn out to black after doing your job, right?" he grinned as the red dark head frowned his forehead. "ahomine! don't underestimate the firefighter.." he raised his voice though at the end the other just laughed seeing the two debated. The blue eyes male is quite redirected by the other story as well, like the light blue head that become a babysitter, and Midorima as a doctor. But then Aomine realize just him who still not telling his job cause all of the people see him in curious way. "well, I worked as a cop.. but a couple of week before I was being moved to the office jobs and do some paper stuff.." he's a bit carried away while talking about his job then added. "But I 'll be back on my usual job tomorrow on the street.. Like catching a thief or investigate some criminal accident.." It felt good to talk to the other of his friend and he think, he saw Kise was curious about his job before so that make the blue haired male happy inside his heart.

Kise could feel a bit free from thinking about Aomine when the conversation continued to warm up more and more...he felt like that he was back to his middle school times...it was an amazing feeling...He had truly missed all of the boys and couldn't deny that the blue orbs boy was one of them...To play basketball with all of them and it was a bit funny and cool to know what they had become right now. He felt his whole body went in shock when hearing Midorima stood in the same position to move his glasses a bit, saying 'I've become a a regular doctor as for now and I know I'll be more...' It made Kise laugh until his stomach hurt a bit though as he looked, he saw that it might have suited him. Then hearing Kuroko said 'I think that none of you realized that I actually like children so I choose the job that I like, being a babysitter' Kise liked this once and he knew that nothing could suit him better, he clung to the light blue red which he still respected so much. "Ah! That's so kind of you Kurokochi! I like it..." He said cheerfully...making Akashi chuckle at him, blond puffed his cheeks. Then he knowledge about other boy's occupation. He smiled at the girl which seemed to a designer now, it made him happy yet surprise. "Really Momochi? The company I work with actually needs a new designer now and it's looking for a reliable person...if you like, you can come work there.." Knowing the fact that Murasakibara was a chef didn't make him much surprised, since he always eat as he could remember.

 

"I think that's Suits you much, Murasakibara kun!" Said Kuroko in his usual tone of voice, Kise envied him a bit. "I wonder how much you can eat...I should be really careful with diet..." Not a minute later, he understood what Kagami's career was...It made him chuckle. "That sure suits you Kagamichi...since you can now turn off the fire of your own when you are angry..." He messed up with the other as Akashi grinned evilly at him. "Mm...I think I should be a bit careful tow Taiga, you might have something in mind about taking revenge of what I had done to you in the high school." Kise remembered that, he attacked him with Scissors. Kise knew that was a bit too far for a joke but past was past, the important thing was they could talk friendly like that...He was thinking as finally...he realized what the blue eyed boy's job was...it made his eye wide in a surprise when he started to hear him...just the word cop could made him go deep in thoughts...why a cop? Couldn't you just be something else? The blond said inside, he wasn't sure if he admire that job...it was the way too dangerous...Stupid what if you got injured or worse? Anyways Why am I worrying about him? He didn't know it himself but one thing he was sure of....after all these years, he still cared for that damn Aomine...he seemed like more in thoughts and he couldn't say something about his job though he did about all others. Kuroko smiled at the black skinned. "That sure suits Aomine kun, After all, as I remember...he was always protective towards the ones he care..." Did Kurokochi just..."Kise gave Kuroko a stare and saw him smiling at him in a strange way...the short boy meant the time which Aomine punched Haizaki...Ah! He could never forget it, that time when he realized, he didn't know what to do because he felt so happy...he thought that Aomine cares for him even just a bit...

Aomine felt another nostalgic as the other start to talk about their jobs again. He never expect that this former team on junior high school could had a great and cool jobs cause until they graduated from high school, just basket ball which was on their mind―tried to against each other teams on match. But most of them still had their old character, like Midorima who was always had high plan for his future, Akashi who was still intimidating though he had much smiled now, Kuroko who was still calm and caring and his stoic face not changed at all, Murasakibara who always had his snack on both of his hands but now more care about his around, Momoi who was cheerful yet loud as usual, Kagami―which just he knew since high school―still had full of spirit..then.. Kise, the one he always loved still clingy, spoiled, and the way he called the other name still same. 'oh well, I think too much about him again but.... I didn't heard any of Aominecchi's name again from him..' he heaved a sighs but squeak of happy voice of Momoi covered his desperate sighs. "whoaah~ really Ki-chan? of course I want to try to work the company that you told me.. It must be exciting..." she clapped his hands and smiled happily. Murasakibara looked at Kuroko who was commented on his jobs. "of course, Kuro-chin.. though sometimes I'm being scolded by another chef cause eating the stock of the food.." he chuckled a little then looked at the blonde. "ah, don't worry Kise-chin.. I never being fat all this time so you can eat much foods as you want.." he unwrapped his new snack and eat again.

 

Meanwhile, Kagami raised his eyebrow before laughed awkwardly after heard the comment about his jobs from Kise but more distracted with Akashi's words. "well, Kise.. I'm not really an angry male just full of spirit.." he's sulking a little than shifted his gaze toward Akashi. "ooh, yeah.. I think you were just joking, right? but I admit that your joke a bit scary Akashi.." he scratched his cheek still with his awkward laugh. Then Aomine after daydreaming about the past on his middle school, the light blue head's comment snapped his attention. "h-huh? yeah, thanks Tetsu.. but protect the one I...care―" he trailed off his words but then manage to speak up again. "..ooh.. umm, yeah.. I think I always like that.." he rubbed the back of his back, blushed slightly. The tanned male knew what was his former shadow means; it's about him who was protect Kise from Haizaki that wanted to screw the model's match with Kagami and Kuroko back then in winter cup. He just didn't want the yellow haired male broken because of Haizaki so he punched that male without thinking first. But he didn't know that Kuroko will bring up that matter now.

Kise couldn't think of something to say until the tanned male talked again...he seemed to be realized what did the shortest male meant too. I knew it...so the reason Kurokochi didn't tell me the other's would come was that he wanted me to be here 100%...he wanted me to see Aominechi again...I hope that's just it and he doesn't have anything else in his mind...Though he doubt that and he knew more than anybody else that what Kuroko wanted, he would make it happen but Kise wasn't sure if that was the reason he invited him...he still and unfortunately loved Aomine and cares for him and this love...ah! He would never forget about it but he can't just be with him again...no...even beyond all those feelings for the boy, he still remembered the day when he broke up with him...even after all these years not giving up on the taller male's love, he couldn't forgive him for breaking his heart and he thought for the same thing in the future...he could just accept him as a friend again...maybe he could forget about the past, just like how Aomine did though he didn't know that how much Aomine had missed him and wanted to have him once more...It is okay if Kurokochi is just trying to gather us all together and as a friend again...anyways...I would like to talk to him after this meeting..we need to discuss about something...He thought as his gaze finally turned to the blue orbs boy with a gentle smile. "That's a nice job, Aominechi..." He had truly missed the sound of his name...he felt so pain in the inside when calling him that way again...he wanted to cry but the pride wouldn't let him.

 

He slowly looked down afterward in a sad expression...he didn't know how to look in the boy's eyes anymore...yes, he forget..he forgot how he acted and how he could stay with him anymore and it hurt...even watching the dark blue, mysterious eyes hurt his chest so much. But he had to let go...he breathed heavily as he heard Kuroko calling at them, he looked at the direction and saw him already disappeared from his side..he looked around as he found him next to the bench of the court and smiling at them with a basketball in his hands. "So that we are all together here again..why don't we play basketball a bit?" He said as it made Akashi to grin in a evil way as his gaze turned to the taller red head. "I agree Tetsuya...I actually want to invite your light to a one on one I guess!" He said as he walked to Kagami after he took the ball from Kuroko and waited for a challenge with him...Kuroko chuckled a bit as he came back with another two balls. "I knew this would happen so I thought one ball isn't enough." He said as he hand one to Kise. "Here you go Kise kun....why don't you start playing a one on one with Aomine kun for now...then we can make two teams to play against each other..." He said, walking to Midorima and handed him the ball so that he could play with Murasakibara...he seemed that he want to talk with Momoi for now...Kise was confused and unable to talk...he didn't know if he could take this more or not.

Aomine didn't have any idea why Kuroko reminded that old fact, he think all this time there's no one who knew it except the short boy and himself but after he saw Kise's face that showed he knew that made him a bit awkward at the end. 'geez, what happen actually.. and it seems Tetsu planned something with this hangout... and it must be related to Kise and me; the blonde was the one who always couldn't joined like this hangout cause he busy with his modeling jobs, right?'. Then in an instant the tanned male's deep though snapped out at the moment the old and loving of his nickname out from the model's mouth―that of course made him in deep joy but hurt at the same time cause that nickname just for Kise's best friend and his loving person but he already broke the male's heart and of course he's none of that people again and the most important was it must be hard for Kise to say it―. "yeah, thanks Kise.." he answered slowly, there's an awkward on his tone of his voice. The blue haired male heaved a soft sighs and tried to distracted his mind from all his joy and hurt thing that made his chest tighten more. Luckily Kuroko's plan make the tensed atmosphere around both of the people around him and he himself a bit cheer up. On the other hand, Kagami who was being challenged by Akashi surely surprised but his pride and his spirit of course accept that challenge. "don't underestimate me, Akashi.. come on, I'm ready one on one with you.." the red smiled widely and stand in his play mode.

 

Aomine himself was blinked his eyes after heard the light blue head's suggest and glanced at the yellow who seems surprised like him. Murasakibara who saw Midorima catch the ball from Kuroko, put back his snack on the bench, felt a bit excited cause it's been long time he practice basket ball then stand in front of the glasses male with his defense act. The blue eyes male cleared his throat before stretched his arm a little and looked at Kise who had the ball on his hands. "so, do you want to play some with me, Kise.. well, Tetsu already planned this ball for us.. I think play some wouldn't that bad, right?" he tried to acted like he usual do and of course he still had his spirit on basket ball though this time a bit different cause in front of him not the old Kise who was his loving boy but his ex that seems already forgotten about they happy time together on the middle school. He stretched more his arm and waited the handsome male's answer, hoping that male will agreed to play with him just for this time.

The conversation between him and Aomine was heavy and he could feel it. He tried not to have an eye contact with him again..at least until they all gathered together to talk again. He didn't know how he would react when he was alone with Aomine and he didn't want it to happen at all...while he was thinking of accepting the challenge with the tanned male...he heard that Kagami accepted the one on one offer and took the defense position..it only put a smirk on the scary boy's lips. "Heh...don't you dare look down on me Taiga! Lower your head!" He said as he started to dribble...he was really strong as before anyways...Kise could only be distract by that and completely forgot the situation with Aomine for a while...actually all the boy's were distracted to their game...Akashi hadn't lose the power of his mysterious eyes yet...he could still read the others movements which they wanted to do in the future. He was dribbling so fast to use the 'Ankle Breaking trick on the taller male in other to make him fall back on the field as he read whatever he wanted to do as the next movement and not with a real surprise..he got passed by him and threw the ball in the basket, panting lightly as he wiped away his sweat from his face with his shirt, glancing at the red head in a exciting way. "Not so bad Taiga but remember that I only let you to win once and no more!" He said with the usual scary smirk...Kise was surprised, he had met Akashi only a few months ago but he was surprised that his basketball was as strong and good as before...

 

He hadn't been playing much after college so he wondered if he was good enough. What if I disappoint Aominechi during the one on one?He wondered as he was shocked by his own thoughts, with widened eyes...he was looking down at the ground. Why was it important? Well, the reason that he started playing basketball was him and he had a wish to only get stronger in order to defeat him and now with not much experience as before, he might not be a good person to play against him. Had he been playing basketball too or not? He asked himself inside...he really and truly missed the boy's basketball and he wanted to play...no matter what...his gaze drifted to the two tallest boys as Midorima started dribbling and taking the offense position...he suddenly moved to right and then to left as he jumped into the shooting position...he threw the ball and wondered if it would go in...Kise was kinda sure that Murasakibara would stop it and Kuroko was already having a deep conversation with Momoi..Kise sighed as he looked back, he decided not to run away..."Sure...let's do it..." He threw the ball at boy. "I'm on defense and you offense...bring it on..." He took off his hat and glasses and said in an challenging expression as he opened up his arms to lock his way. He was looking at him at the same expression during high school at the inter high match...it was so exciting!

The thick atmosphere still could felt by Aomine as he keep waiting the model who was in deep though. But then all the attention that was in court distracted to the match between Akashi and Kagami. He couldn't help but grinned saw the interesting match between the two. Meanwhile Kagami didn't let his guard down even just for a second though the intimidating and scary smirk from Akashi surely make a couple of chill run down to his spine. "Haah!? I won't do that, Akashi.." the red shouted then tried his best to block the short male's way to the ring. 'tsk! he still had that 'reading' eyes! he know every my move..' he though then at the same time Akashi used his ankle break, make the bigger male fall to ground with widen eyes. And an instant the scary male threw the ball on the ring. "Aah, the sensation still same, Akashi.. Yeah, yeah.. sure just say what you want.. but wanna try another one? my spirit just burned now.." he grinned and pushed himself up from the ground, ready to another match. On other hand, Aomine couldn't help but smiled excitedly; both of the male still had a cool and interesting play. "they are still fired up like usual, huh? not bad.." he muttered under his breath then glanced at the tall and the tallest male who on the other side of the court, attached to they match as well. Murasakibara stand in his defense position, keep watching the movement from the glasses male that indeed fast and straight forward; followed the other movement as well to kept his ring from the ball. The purple head a bit startled as Midorima suddenly shoot the ball after his last movement but manage to jump and block the ball, made the ball bounced to somewhere. "aah, sorry, Mido-chin.. I use too much energy.. The ball gone to far.." he commented casually, grope something on his pocket and found a candy bar, start to eat it while while slick back his long hair.

 

The tanned male a bit laughed as seen the expecting event from the match that just he saw before, he saw sure that purple head could block the ball easily just by seeing his height that more tall than the last time he saw him. His blue eyes darted to another was and found Momoi and Kuroko who was having the long conversation. 'the two surely had much thing to talk to..' he noted in his mind then heaved a sighs. am I still good on the basket ball? It's really long time since I play the ball after all, right? somehow the blue haired male lost his confident but his body trembled in need to play the ball that always he liked since he was in elementary school. Aomine looked up at the blonde male who was finally accept his challenge, catch the round ball on his hands. "sure, I'm okay with it.. don't let guard down, Kise.." he said challengingly, rolled the ball on his palm a couple of times before dribble it. His blue orbs looked serious and more serious as caught the earnestly from Kise's eyes. Inhaled and exhaled the breath, Aomine start to moved to the right and dribble the ball slow but accurately.. saw the model blocked his way but manage to stopped right in front of him to make a fake before stepped to the left an shot the ball with his formless shoot to the ring, hoping the ball entered the ring perfectly.

Akashi was having his pride as before, despite of his very short height...he seemed very full of himself as a strong man now and he had to be...He smiled evilly as he opened his eyes, glancing through the boy which now he had to rise his head to watch him, he placed his hands through his waist as he smirked. "I'm fine with it Taiga! I'm not going to go easy on you, I admit that you are strong!" He said as he grabbed the ball from the court and threw it at the other, ran to the other side of him so that he could defend the basket though he seemed to ease to go on the position. Meanwhile Midorima landed back down on the court as he fixed his glasses sighing at the eating boy. "I don't care, Murasakibara! Bring the ball back yourself!" He said in a serious tone of voice..Meanwhile Kuroko was watching them with a kind and usual smile on his face...Too bad for Kise since he couldn't watch the moment..he had to be focused on the other's movements since he knew him better than anyone else and he knew that Aomine wouldn't stop once he moved...he didn't give up though, he followed the moves and tried to stop him but it was a fake and he was tricked, he saw the other threw the ball...he knew that his formless shots could be hardly stopped but he didn't give it in as he rushed to the basket and jumped in order to avoid it from going in and succeeded...he threw the ball strongly out of the court as he got back to the field, panting lightly...he didn't know how much he had missed to play with him. He glanced shortly at the tanned male. "I'll go and take the ball back..." He said forgot that he didn't have his glasses or hat..he took the ball which was already on the sidewalk as he heard someone calling him. "Em..Are you Kise kun?" Kise was shocked, he turn around and saw two girls...he tried to keep his smile. "Yeah..." "Ah! How lucky! Can we take a picture with you?" He tried to be patient but he wasn't in the model mood now. "Okay..." He said not to cheerfully as he waited for both to have a picture with him then waved and got back to the court...didn't actually care if Aomine was annoyed or not. If he was going to nag, then he would play with someone else...but it wasn't good that Kise was seen...not really a minutes later...many girls were standing next to the court, watching him in their dreamland.

Kagami wiped up his sweat with sleeve of his shirt, looked so exciting though he just being defeated by the short male. He know that Akashi had much pride on himself and it's kinda annoying for him but at the same time it made his spirit burned more. "of course I'm strong Akashi.. I let my guard down before and It's been long time since I practice.. this time, I'll win.." he grinned widely, catch the ball from the other and dribble it, looked to the front where Akashi stand. On the other hand Murasakibara sighed after seeing Midorima that being too serious over the think. "aah, Mido-chin you're too stiff like in the high school.. how boring.." he crumpled his candy wrapper and shoved to his pocket then walked over the ball that bounced to the corner of the court. Momoi couldn't help but squeaked in happiness as saw the sight in front of her, however he missed the time when they practice on the court and not think anything else but play basket ball with all the joy. In the mean time, Aomine was too focused on his match with Kise, he landed on the field after make his formless shot and believe that it will entered the ring cause the ball already half way to the ring but Kise's jump was too much high than the last time he played with the blonde male; made the ball bounced to the other place. It was surely made him surprised yet he couldn't help but dazed at the skill from the model that still good even better than before. The tanned male just wanted to praised the other but Kise already walked out the take the ball. "he's still had a good movement.." he muttered, smiled slightly cause he truly missed how Kise play with him like the old times. Aomine still waited almost lost his patience cause the yellow head take a long time just to pick up the ball. With arm crossed, Aomine sighed as finally saw Kise back with the ball. "that's too long, Kise.. come on, I'm not done played with you yet.." he grinned excitedly but their peaceful gone when the crowd girl start to filling outside of the court. "Kise, did you caught up by your fans before? they start to piled up here.." he glanced at the handsome male, a bit upset cause their time being interfere by that loud girls.

Kise got into a real big trouble when he brought the girls all around the court...he wondered if he had to leave so that the other boys wouldn't be bothered...He walked closer them with a fake but very beautiful smile as he raised his hands in the air...signing them to stop screaming. "Em...If it is okay...can you leave us alone please? I have a hang out to do with my friends so..." Even though Akashi was in a middle of a conversation and a match with the taller red head...he sighed as he walked beside Kise with a very scary face that all the girls increased their screaming but not for cheering on the model but for being afraid of the boy with two color eyes. "Didn't you hear what he said? Or should I make you understand it myself ladies?" He said in a very absolute way, even Kise was scared and moved a bit back, avoiding to stand next to him. The girls slowly started to leave one by one though they didn't want to...Kise sighed as he smiled at the former captain and suddenly jumped on him. "Seriously Akashichi~ You are still scary like before, you should have been a body guard of mine, hehe~" He said as he poked the red boy's cheeks...Akashi gave him a pat and Kise realized that he was actually being kinder that the past. The blond slowly moved back as Midorima and Kuroko walked to them with a smile. "That was being a bit annoying Kise kun!" "Make sure that you are not going to be recognized, stupid!" Said Kuroko and Midorima in a row...Kuroko signed the others to get closer as Kise looked at the green head. "That means there is a next time, right Kurokochi?" He said happily, he didn't know why but after playing a one on one with the tanned male, he was all fresh up again and glanced at Aomine with a very cute smile...he tried to be cheerful, to forget... "I feel happy just now!" Kuroko smiled as Midorima sighed. "I don't know if I can take you one more day or not..." He said with a smirk...Kise groaned though he knew he was joking...he suddenly raised a hand into the air as e said out loud. Aomine sighed and cover one of his ear as the loud scream from Kise's fans start to deafen his ears but his eyes catch something that rarely happen; Akashi left his match with Kagami who was a bit disappointed and help the yellow head to chase away the loud girls from the court―though it more looked like frighten that teenagers―.
