alexia__
"I don't even know what color is normal" answered Eric with a slight edge to his voice. Both boys walked down the large hallway. The strong wind coming in from the top windows. Looking over at Sukai, Eric slightly smiled with a devilish grim "SO why don't you like the class? the prodigy facing a challenge?" The question was a mere tease but it had some truth behind it; Eric at some level slightly found himself creating jealousy of Sukai. He had actually taken some time to read the profile, which was a new, and soon found out about the boy. He was something Eric would never achieve. "Maybe if it was you the class wouldn't have been destroyed" he whispered as a remark towards himself and no one else in particular. Soon they reached the end of the hallways and Eric turned left towards the schools forest. Making his way through thick and lighter trees he came across one of his favorite spots , also where he often practiced. The grass was covered in small white flowers that were slightly closing due to the cool day. Giving one last look at Sukai he laid on the grass. The soft wind messing his hair; although the day was indeed cold he felt warm almost heating. Eric could not see but his hair was turning once more to the orange red it usually had early in the morning. Giving a smile to himself he closed his eyes and rested Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links. Eric
SweetFloatsFlats
He tilted his head back and thought about it for a moment then nodded a bit. "Yeah... Too many lines, frost has order but..." He started muttring to himself again. He was power, talent, skill. He was water- you could put him in a container but if that container spilled he'd just go back to flowing. He didn't think too hard about that kinda stuff. He was still talking about something, missing what he said. He didn't even notice they were heading outside till the light and warmth hit him. He paused and stared up at the sun for a moment before he started following again. He picked up a rock while they were walking, tracing it in frost. They entered a clearing and once again he didn't even notice till the sunlight became bright again. He glanced around, giving a lingering look to Eric as his eyes fell onto him, and placed his hands on one of the trees. Minuets passed, Sukai's mind wandering as he just stood leaning next to a tree and nudging the daisies with his foot, before he started speaking. "They tried to beat me up. Those guys. They got in trouble- smashed my glasses- i wont have a new pair till... is it monday? I wont have a new pair till wensday." He nodded and walked over before just falling into the pile of daisies next to him. He rested his cheek on the ground and sighed. "Wow the dirt is cool..." alexia__
"It's not dirt, its burned tree. I often practice here" said Eric still maintaining his eyes closed. "If they bother you let me know, they are just jealous....but I'm sure you know that already" The silence then grew and so did the wind, under him Eric could feel the small flowers move around and above the trees releasing their leaves. "Winter is almost here, you like that right?" asked now, opening his eyes "Since its frozen water and all" Slightly chuckling Eric sat up and looked at the boy who sat a couple feet from him. His soft hair feel slightly on the sides his dark uniform accenting his eyes. Not noticing he had begun to stare for far too long he took in the smaller details of Sukai, like how his chin was pointed and refined yet he was small in body and face. Slightly blushing Eric got up "You should go back classes are over now so you can return to the room" said the taller boy as he began to walk deeper into the wood "And Sukai this time do not go to the cafeteria alone" Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links. SweetFloatsFlats
"It's not dirt, its burned tree. I often practice here" He glanced over at him and nudged his finger into the ground, untill he came across something smooth and wriggly. He held it up, squinting a bit. An earth worm. "... jealous, huh? ..." Yeah, that made sense, but he really wasn't anything special. He always thought everyone was born to do something, and he was pretty sure for a long time he was going to be a dairy farmer. Guess not, the world had other plans for him. "Winter is almost here, you like that right?" asked now, opening his eyes "Since its frozen water and all" He put the worm back down and sighed. He looked over and shrugged. "No, I like spring, hate winter... You saw what I did with frost? ... nothing, abosluetly nothing compared to my light magic... I like light, it helps you see.." He rubbed his hands together. "... I like warmth...." Before long he had zoned out again, and with Eric caught up in his own little thoughts, well, there wasn't anything stopping them from just laying back, enjoying the sound and feel of life. Eric sighed, enjoying the slightly pulsing sensation he got from the world around him. Trees and grass breathing, the wind running, flowers dancing, the sun smiling, the warmth of another person... He looked up into the sky, he needed glasses to see things close up but he liked to see the big picture. Slightly blushing Eric got up "You should go back classes are over now so you can return to the room" said the taller boy as he began to walk deeper into the wood "And Sukai this time do not go to the cafeteria alone He stayed laying down, pushing his hair back a bit. "Ah, I don't think I will... go inside anyways... oh he left." He said, looking around. Well, he could go to the cafeteria if he wanted. Those bullies wouldn't pick on him- he wasn't even using magic and he kicked their asses. 4 against 1 too. Eh, yeah, He didn't really want to show off- that thought hand't even crossed his mind- he just wanted his partner to trust him. At this point. He'd have to be an idiot not too see his own power. He was humble, or more jut didn't really care as long as he was happy.. Am I Happy? I've... never really thought about it... I suppose I'm okay with studying auras- It's a great gift I can use to make the world better... Will that make me happy... He tilted his head and looked at the flower before getting up and sauntering inside. Dinner wasn't for a while, so he decided to head back too his room and work on that essay. alexia__
Before Eric could tell it was dark and the moon brightly shining on his head. Quickly he casted a letter spell and sent a message to Sukai I find myself in a rather thigh place, won't be back for dinner so go ahead if you'd like and stay away from those guys Sending the small message flying he watched as it disappeared from his sight "Let us continue" he said to himself. Often in the open area he practice small dark magic enchantments that would help him control his fire, at times it worked. With enchantments like that he had managed to created Shinji, a small fire bird that came to him every morning in the sun light. Lately due to Sukai's appearance it had shied away. Incendio breathed Eric and a small fire began to lift in the center of his hand but it quickly turned blue and faded. Spells such as incedio were fairly easy for any fire user in the school, although it depended on what side of that magic you were on. Most of the the fire users were born with light properties which made them direct their magic easier; manga and few rare developed the dark side of fire or were born with it. In Eric's case he was born with the dark fire property in a water using family. The shame! they all said to him, because dark magic was slightly looked down on due to lack of control, understanding and fear. Eric tried once again this time getting the fire to list slightly and then he threw it making the bush in front of him explode "Why is it that I can't make it grow like that in my own hand" he asked himself slightly getting irritated. Many spells followed, some being successful and most slightly burning him. Although he had managed to prevent any burns his uniform shirt suffered from burnt holes and dark areas. Next followed the procedure he had failed in class again . 'Campfire' he told himself 'Now grow' he repeated 'grow' 'grow' 'grow' Opening his eyes Eric was taken aback by the large fire omitting from a large oak tree, 'W-what the hell" was the only words he managed before the tree itself disappeared in fire creating a bright light that illuminated the sky for a second then vanished. Eric feel back on his butt and looked at the area were the oak once stood "I-i didn't direct the fire there" he told himself as his head hung in failure again
SweetFloatsFlats
Sukai had already been on his way to dinner, a pint of milk in his hand. He walked along quietly, clenching and unclenching his fist, popping the knuckles in his hand. He could'nt believe it... getting back too his room, there was a pecie of paper floating infront of the door saying in big red letters 'show off'. He Just grabbed it, considering it breifly before walking into his room adf throwing it away. He wrote some of his essay, started carving out some complex bases for charm, then noticed dinner wa going to begin soon and walked out of his room. Such aweful words. He assumed they were just grumpy but he'd never had anyone be so hurtful from jealousy. He tossed them all away before barging towards the cafeteria in a slight huff. By the time he got down there he had drank his milk and had time to let all that bad energy roll off him. Of course, his happy nature upset those trying to hurt him. As soon as he got his dinner and sat down his tray started levitating. He paused before he Grabbed the tray, warping the light around it too confuse whoever it was messing with it. He looked around quickly, looking deeply into all the auras. Too many to just look around pick out of a crowd, but not if you have a suspcion. The Only people doing magic right now were those three guys. He hesitated, his body glowing a tiny bit. His aura was illuminating and in an instant he shot a few beems of light at those four guys, blinding them temporarily. Then he just got up, walked over to thier table and sat down. When they looked up he was there, eating a PB and J and talking like he'd been here the whole time. "You guys here have good food, I bet thise would've gone good with milk..." He put out his hand, his face blank. Not smiling, not even blank faced when he was deep and dazed in thought. His was unreadable. They stared for a moment before one guy smacked his hand away. He didn't put it down and leaned in a bit closer to them. "I dont want to fight... really..." The Gang's leader scowled and grabbed his wrist tightly, ready to twist his arm. Sukai frowned and grabbed his wrist back, but instead of repeating the past he did something different. Both of thier auras glowed slightly and they got into a deadlock, neither of them moving. The leaders eyes were fixed tightly on Sukai and Sukai whispered something below his breath. "I don't take to threats, I won't hurt you if it's going to throw away my chances at this education, or even if it's just something as petty as momentary rage.... but keep in mind, I'm Eric's partner for a reason- I'm a kid in the same class level as you and him- and I'm an aura student. Someday, I may have the power too make someone's magic unusable- or worse, completely strip people of thier magic..." He let go of the bond and shoved the gang leader back. A few people gasped, onlookers stared and the gang members were stunned. He looked around at them then stood up, shoving the rest of his sandwich in his mouth. "You guys are making me upset. I'll see you tomorrow... I want to sit here, is that okay?" They glanced at eachother, and he glanced at them before throwing away his tray. He went through line again and bought another sandwich. When he got to his room there was one more note. 'Flightless Bird'. He frowned, grabbing it and throwing it in the trash. He placed the sandwich on Eric's bed, then got ready for bed. After changing into pjs he sat on his bed, reading a book on aura studies. He fell asleep pretty quickly, curled up around the book.
alexia__
That night Eric did not return to the school instead he kept his eyes for as long as he could on the tree that had caught fire. He asked himself many questions, from why he had such a power, why his hair changed, and why it all exploded in such manners. Before he even realized small bags formed under his eyes. His hair was no longer red and now the sun was slowly shinning and his small pet sat on his arm. "Hey there" smiled Eric as he petted the small fire creature "Come to my room sometime soon" he said as the small creature took flight. ------------------------- The cafeteria was empty like a desert, only a few students were seen there since it was a free day, on such days many of the teen woke late and went running or just fun magic practice. A few of the people there gave him a look due to his burned shirt, but most knew who he was so it was pretty normal. Grabbing a few muffins, some fruit a piece of bread and some juice Eric headed to his room. The hallway there was dark and cold giving him a small chill. An awkward odor hit Eric's nose and he frowned as he realizing just how madly his shirt had been destroyed, even to the point to fill the hallway with smoke smell. "Ugh" he let out as he softly opened the large dormitory door and headed in. Placing the large tray on his bed he began to remove his muddy shoes and destroyed shirt later proceeding to removing the pants. Eric walked around in boxes until he found his towel in the dark and then moved the bath area closing the door behind him. Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links. SweetFloatsFlats
Nightmares, he had them sometimes. Being connected too so many types of magic, all at the tip of your fingers puts alot of strain on the physichy... And where was Sukai? Aura studies, getting a special assignment. He'd woken up early, not knowing about freedays till he woke up, got showered and dressed and found the cafeteria empty. He asked his aura teacher about it, saying it was a freeday, but Sukai was obligated to take extra aura lessons for a little while on these days, along with any tutoring he needed. So Sukai got his bag of instant rice, his teacher got some beef and broccoli, and Sukai spent the morning eating good food and learning new thing about auras... the special assignment was a step in his bonding with Eric. He was to create a bond with thier auras the next time he got a little too hot headed. The combination of light and dark should neautral him out... unless they're uncompatable, in which case Sukai might light on fire but the teacher mention this casually at a moment when Sukai wasn't really paying attention. It wouldn't matter, sukai could snuff the flames, and if he couldn't well Eric was still a water element, wan't he? Sukai asked why he never saw Eric use his water element but the teacher gave a shrug... The sandwich he left was still there, under the tray now. When Sukai returned he was a bit dissapointed, but he picked up the sandwich and put it in his fridge. He would eat it for his own dinner then. He sighed, rubbing the bridge of his noes. He almost forgot he needed glasses, really he only needed them to read and write, but those are kinda vital. Looking around the room he tried to understand how this could only be hi third day here. It seemed like he'd been here so long already... he groaned and tilted his head back before falling back on the ground of the bedroom. He took a deep breath and thought before smiling a bit. He was just stressed, new school stuff and all, and those nightmares creeping him out. He looked at the ceiling and traced the pattern in the air with his finger untill Eric came out of the bath. He looked over, the calm collected look on his face. He suddenly stopped worrying about all his fears and focused on the big picture. "... we should have some bonding time or something..." He said. He wondered what he was so upset about before.

alexia__
"Ahhhh.... Is that a good... You know idea?" asked Eric slightly shying away. His other partners had never stayed long enough to ask such a question. And although Sukai himself had not been there that long at least it was something. "I mean" said Eric as he moved to his bed and grabbed the shirt that laid there "I never really done that, and I know the school is supposed to pair partners of different elements" he said taking a bite of his muffin "they set you up with a timed bomb; I can't even prevent myself from catching on fire" he said as a dried joke as he finished the sweet and grabbed another. Eric observed the smaller figure from across the room; he looked tired and slightly disturbed "did you sleep okay?" asked the older boy as he took a seat in the floor and opened a juice drink. The room was still a hit dark due to it being early morning but the sun was doing a fairly good job as keeping it rather warm. Reaching for more food Eric found an empty tray 'I grabbed so many' he told himself as his vision moved to Sukai "Alright we can start aura mixing now, but only if you give me food I'm still... hungry" he admitted with a slightly shy smile. Closing his eyes Eric though of heat and he knew his hair had turned red "alright let's do it"
SweetFloatsFlats
He listened and nodded taking in everything he said without a comment. He talked too much, but Sukai supposed he was guilty of not adding pauses between individual thoughts, everything sorta blended together, all is one and one is all, or something else philosophical and tedious to say. "I need you too listen... I'm not very smart." He said, pushing his hair out of his face. He had a calm smile, like he was looking at a kid almost, though he hadn't acted the least bit condescending. "You're a time bomb... I'm the swat team... Uh, for the exercise I've been assigned I'm not going to mix with you- I'm actually going to take over and..." He paused, furrowing his brow, trying to remember how his teacher explained it. ".... And... Calm your aura down. But, uh, this isn't really mixing. It's more like... Your aura... Is a rock... That's on fire." He blinked. That sounded really stupid. "... my aura is a bag. I'm going too... Like suffocate the fire then let you go..." He sighed. Focusing was hard. He probably had like ADD or ADHD or... HIV? What even are words. "Anyways, aura mixing, not what I meant. I meant just hang out- we can't do that rock stuff till later... Dreams- oh, I slept bad, there's a sandwich in the fridge... I just wanna hang out. When you're fire magic starts going, all over, out of control, then we can do it. But you're fine now, right?" alexia__
"The magic is always of of control all I have to do is call to it a bit, if I don't it here I'm afraid of burning something" said Eric as he listened to the other explination. At some limit the bag and fire made sense, it didn't completely turn it off but it simply suffocated it enough so that the fire could calm and work properly. "I'll try calling it to my finger once I've done that you'll notice the change in my aura" he said in a low voice "do what you have to do then". Closing his eyes he thought of his finger a she stretched it out, soon he could feel it grown warm and as his eyes opened the fire grew. "So...?" asked Eric trying to keep the explosions away
SweetFloatsFlats
He blinked. Afraid of burning something? This their room- Sukai watched, giving tiny 'uh...'s as he tried to build up the courage to tell this guy he was a bigger idiot then... himself. But He waited till he was done before putting out his hands. He then covered Eric in a layer frost, extinguishing the fire. "You're not listening. I can't do it now... I jut want to hang out- and beside, this will only work when you freak out- like that first day... If you freak out and lose control of the fire magic inside your aura I'll put it out- like a bag- but not now, we can't like, plan for it- also theres a lake nearby, you said you dont want to burn anything but my desk- shelves- books are all flamable- very flameable... so, lets hang out." He said, gathering the frot off Eric into a ball before blowing on it, evaporating the ice quickly too vapor. He smiled a bit drunkly. "You can show me your fire magic if you want... and maybe we can do some aura stuff...but probably not."
alexia__
"c-cold" was all Eric managed to say as he was covered in icy frost. "S-sorry I didn't understand what you meant" he said as the ice began to leave. Breathing in some air he moves his hands around himself for warmth . "Hang out then? what do you like to do" asked Eric as he looked at the other. He knew there was a limit as to how much you didn't match up with your partner but this guy and himself were so different it was scary; the fact that Sukai had been there for almost a week and he didn't even know where the guy came from was a complete fail. Slightly signing Eric moved his fingers through his hair and noticed how much the tip of them hurt. The fact that he was not possessive of water magic was clear to him but he didn't know why the power itself hurt him more than it should one would imagine that at least the gene of water tolerance would've been passed down from his parents
