Budi, the 2nd Heir of the kingdom, was being lead away too the ground where his people sacrifice thing and people for their gods and goddesses. The village was being raided by pirates... SweetFloatsFlats
Budi had always known he was going to be killed or damned. He felt he was different then most, not only because he was royalty, no because he wasn't right with thier believes. As a child he did not play sports or enjoyed wrestling or rough housing. He didn't enjoy most things, but the lack of enjoyment in certain activities isn't what tipped him off. No, he knew he was weird because of what he did like. He liked clothing, he liked making clothing. His mother taught him how for a little while but after some time it was done away with. The time being when it was found out he'd been neglecting his studies for it, and that he had began making womens kimonos that could have only fit himself. So he sowed and wore them in secrecy, only on odd nights when everyone had long been asleep. But he got caught, of course, one early morning when he fell asleep outside. Less then half an hour later after being discovered by a servant he was being dragged out in his kimono for the entire town to see. He would be made an example of- not even the son of a king may get away with such a thing. However they never even made it too the sacrifce grounds before warriors were being called to stop a fire started in town. It was chaos, madness- such events happened so quickly Budi scarcely remembered being tied too a post of the castle. It had been so crude he barely had to squirm to get out of it. He ran towards a rocky slope that lead to the coast. He started to climb down but lost his footing due to clumsy sandels, and he rolled down the slope into the sand. The last thing he saw was a group of odd looking men... When he woke up he was tied up, so very tight. He kept his eyes closed, hunched over, fearing that he was too be burned soon. He laid still for a long time before he started feeling like he was rocking- it was nauseating. And an odd sound flooded his ears, a language he studied in books. Spanish? English? He opened his eyes a bit. He was tied too a mast and a group of odd looking men stood around him talking is desperate tones. he had no immediate response besides to pull himself up and give a dazed look, then to vomit on the ground in front of himself. He gasped, trembling. Oh is this hell... Little did he know, 'she'd' been picked up by those pirated and put in the brig without anyone's knowing. Once they left shore the word got out. She was brought out here on the second in commands orders and tied up for formalities until they woke up.
Charade
Take everything of value -- don't even try to kidnap any girls this time. Emilio thought his instructions had been pretty clear. Granted, the majority of his crew wasn't all that bright, they still knew basic English. Maybe they had different definitions of the word 'value.' Or they knew exactly what he had meant, they just didn't care. The latter was seeming fairly probable. Wind blew through Emilio's soft black hair as he sat on the forecastle deck of his beloved ship, Serenity, observing the scene below him. His crew had, once again, gone ahead and did and they pleased, which usually revolved around capturing some innocent girl. It was a bit sickening to him -- he understood that they were men with sex drives, after all, and they were out at sea sometimes for months before going back to land, but there had to be some other way for them to take care of their... urges. Emilio sighed. Of course, he felt the same way from time to time. It was hard, being alone all the time, with the exception of a few rowdy pirates. They were essentially a family, and Emilio was like the eldest brother that had to take care of the rest of them -- which left little time for himself. Still, there was something about the ocean that made everything so much more tolerable. The gentle waves, the luminescent glow it gave off in the moonlight, the smell of crisp, clean air... Granted, it wasn't always so peaceful. There were, of course, storms and raids, but Serenity's crew always pulled through victorious. Over on the quarter deck, 3 other pirates stood around a young girl, who was tightly tied to the ship's main mast. The first man was short, standing at around 5'7, and thick, with large, callused hands. He had short black hair, and an unkempt short-boxed beard. He wore a dirty, white wifebeater, and baggy, green pants that came down just below his knees, revealing a few inches of hairy legs before the rest was covered by a pair of black boots. He wore a gold loop earring in his left ear, and looked around 35 years old. The second man was tall, standing at around 6'1, and very lean, with an almost effeminate body shape. He had shoulder length blonde hair that was tied back into a low ponytail and soft, deep blue eyes. He wore a loose, white button up, khaki breeches, and simple leather shoes. He had a white ribbon tied around his ponytail, and looked around 21 years old. And lastly, the third man. He was just a bit shorter than the second, standing at around 5'10. He had medium-length, crazy brown hair that stuck up and out every which way, and bright green eyes. His clothes were ripped, old, and mismatched, most of which had been sewn together in a motley fashion. Around his neck he wore a shark tooth tied to a string, and around his waist he had a bright, colorful sash, from which a cutlass sword hung. He looked no older than 19. The second man sighed. "Was this really necessary?" he asked, eyeballing the girl tied to the mast. "Yes!" the third man whined loudly. "She's so cute, we couldn't just leave her~!!" "Besides," the first man said, a smug grin on his face as he crossed his arms. "You should be glad -- we basically saved her life." "That's right!" the third man chimed in. "We coulda left her and she'd be dead! You're welcome~!" "I get the feeling that death would be a more merciful alternative to what you're planning on doing with her," the second man sighed. "And if you knew what was good for you, you'd get her out of here. You know how the Captain feels about you two bringing random girls here, against their will, no less." As if on cue, a man cleared his throat, leaning against the railing. The others had been so busy quarreling, they didn't even notice him leisurely climb up the latter and watch the argument. This man was the tallest of them all, standing at a good 6'6, but, unlike the second tallest male, he was well built and proportionate for his height. His skin was just slightly tanned, partly from being out in the Sun all day, and partly from his Spanish roots. He wore a large, black, tricorn hat, with a golden band going along the top perimeter, an elaborate, gold brooch in the upper left corner, with black plumes sticking out of it. He wore a long, unbuttoned, black and gold doublet coat, with a white shirt underneath that was only partially buttoned, revealing his chest. His shirt was tucked into a pair of black breeches, and he wore a black leather belt with a gold buckle. And on his feet he wore a pair of black, leather bucket boots, that were folded over at the top. He had chin length black hair, hazel eyes, and appeared to be around 26. He had a black eyepatch covering his right eye. "C-c-c-captain!" the third man exclaimed in shock, staring at the other. "What are you doing here?" the first man inquired, staring at the Captain. "I thought you were bed-ridden!" The Captain chuckled, though there was no humor in his tone. It was mostly annoyance. "Yes, well, I had plenty of time to heal while you two were out...scavenging." He said the last word with utter disgust, shooting a look at the girl. "W-well, we got some other things, t-t-too," the third man stuttered, clearly terrified of the taller male. "Oh?" the Captain inquired, clearly uninterested. "Like what?" "Like this," the first man grinned, placing a small sack of various jewels into the Captain's hand. The Captain raised an eyebrow, then looked back at the first man. "This," he repeated, as if making sure. "That," the first man said, not getting the Captain's hint. The Captain sighed, tossing the sack back to the first man. "You don't raid an entire village for that," he scowled, before taking another look at the girl. "She's scrawnier than your usual type." "True, I do like my girls to have a bit more meat on their bones, but look at her face, Captain!" the first man said. "She's real cute." "Y-yeah, and we saved her too, so..." the third man began, but quickly swallowed his words when the Captain shot him a look. He brought his attention back to the girl. "What's your name?" he asked, pulling a dagger from his boot and cutting the rope. Layout of the ship.
SweetFloatsFlats
He watched and listened as the scene went by, blurry and feeling like they had been timed and written by some mad director. He caught the look in their eyes and the way they studied him. He felt a knot in his throat, coming to a conclusion. This is hell. I've been granted the womanhood I dared seek for and now they shall have my maiden head- or cut off my head. Or both, oh lords, Oh curse that i'd trade my inner demons for a life in hell. He wiggled a bit in the restraints, feeling them start to rub off skin. He bit his lip and leaned forward awkwardly before he felt his stomach lerch again, filled with the urge to drain out the contents of his stomach again. No, he may have felt ill, but these pains were caused from hunger. He hadn't eaten in over 12 hours. An emtpy stomach and sea-sickness combined left his body attempting to vomit up something that wasn't there. He stayed hunched over for a while, not looking up as he kept his eyes shut tightly and let his body roll and stir in agony. But he hear a voice, a new one, and spared a glance up. A very tall, frightening tall man walked over. Everything changed, their posture and expressions. They feared him, and Budi well- he feared him as well, but that gave him all the more reason to raise his defenses. His eyes fixed on him like a stalking cat, never leaving as he walked around the deck. Budi knew the difference between peasantry and royalty. If this ship had a tier system this guy was on top and he'd been damned to show weakness to him. When the captian glanced over him budi closed his eyes and took a deep breath, opening them again to watch him talk a bit more. He began to walk over and budi held himself stiffly. Even with ass his pride he leaned back a bit when the captain was infront of him, and leaned much more noticeably when he brought the knife... and he cut the rope. Budi stood there a moment. Even if he spoke English well he probably wouldn't have processed what he said. He looked up at the captain for a moment before taking a small step back then bolting towards the railing. He put his hands on it and looked around. He saw a strip of land that could possibly have been his island home but before he had time to decided whether or not to jump hi arm was grabbed from behind. He clenched his fist and swung around, socking the poor pirate in the face. It didn't do him much good as the other two men grabbed his arms and pushed him down too his knees. Before he could over the pain in hi arms and shoulders and knees he was slapped so hard he felt his jaw pop a bit. He gasped and hunched forward, feeling disoriented as he was held firmly in place. Charade
"Animals," the Captain scoffed, grabbing the first man and the third man by the collars of their shirts, pulling them back with great strength. Still, anyone on board could tell you it wasn't brute force alone that led Emilio to be Captain. Aside from owning the ship, he was arguably the most level-headed, and wasn't nearly as rash as the others -- particularly these two. There was a time to fight, and there was a time to talk, and Emilio knew the fine line between them. "Raphael," he snapped, causing the second man to jump, and look at his Captain nervously. "Yes sir?" he asked, his voice smooth and soft. "Take her to the empty cabin," the Captain commanded. "While I take care of these two." "Yes sir," Raphael said, rubbing the spot on his face where he had been hit as he took the girl's hand, gently pulling her towards a hall on the deck that had doors after doors. On the first door, there was a sign reading "SAMUEL". On the second, "JULIUS". Third, "RAPHAEL"; fourth, "WILLIAM"; fifth, "LOUIE"; and the sixth, "MICHAEL". Raphael led the girl to the end of the hall, to a door with no markings on it. He opened it, gently ushering the other inside. Inside the room, there was a cheap, white cot in the corner, with a barrel next to it being used as a nightstand. It had one circular window against the back wall, that lit up the room. On top of the barrel, there was an oil lamp, a box of matches, and several old, leather-bound books. "I suppose you'll be staying here temporarily," Raphael said with a small, apologetic smile. "I know it isn't very glamorous, and I know you didn't choose to come here, but... Well, we're gonna try to make your stay as comfortable as possible." He smiled brightly, but his smile faltered at the sight of the prison cell-esque room. "Er, we can get you some things to decorate with, if you like." SweetFloatsFlats
He fell onto his hands and huffed before starting slowly to climb up. He wasn't dead. He wasn't a woman. This isnt hell. He's just caught on what he has to assume is a pirates ship. Usually the fog and mist keep ships away from thier island but a few sneak by. None in his lifetime has ever been full of pirates but Budi had heard rumors of them though. He started backing into the railing again before he was grabbed. He didn't act passive in the least, yanking away and yelling in a fit, like a spoiled child. "Buih air, membiarkan saya pergi! Membiarkan pergi!" He screamed and clawed and would've bit if he'd not known any better too. He looked around, feeling claustrophobic and angry at being dragged down this dingy hall. He almost felt insulted when he was brought to his room. He couldn't tell what pissed him off more, the fact they thought him too weak to be in the brig, or perhaps the fact they thought him only high enough to be put in this cheap company. He yanked away as soon as he was inside the room. No use in running, the guy was standing infront of the door, and where would he go? He looked around the room, his stomach churning. He glanced out the window, looking a bit panick, but the sight of rushing waves did not ease his nerves. Or his stomach, but he dare not dry vomit again infront of this man. He felt as if he'd rather starve and die then be kept here- for what cause... but they way they looked at him? Why, they couldn't possibly be... homosexuals? ... no, he looked at his clothes and his face blurred in the iron cast of the barrel. He still looked like a woman. He pulled his kimono a bit tighter, sighing. He'd probably be killed yet, only now somewhere out on seq where his body would find no rest. He wouldn't even wander the earth, he'd wander the sea, possibly never have his wake crossed by a ship and to stay on the earth for eternity without ever seeing another soul... He looked up. That man was still here. Budi felt his stomach clenching, he felt so ill and sad. "tinggalkan aku sendiri..." he muttered 'I'm sorry, what-' "tinggalkan aku sendiri! leave me sendiri!" Charade
"Um... Are you hungry?" Raphael asked with a nervous smile, rubbing the back of his neck. Suddenly, the door opened, and the Captain appeared, ducking just slightly so he could enter the room. "Raphael, you're supposed to be a scholar." "I am, Emilio... I just--" "We have you on this ship for one reason and one reason alone. Understood?" Emilio inquired, raising an eyebrow. "I... Yes sir." Raphael hung his head slightly, ashamed. "Good. Then tell me why you can't take care of such a simple task. Louie and Michael have been quiet since you got punched in the face, so hopefully you can see why I'm confused, and slightly disturbed, as to why you can't take a girl, that even Michael could easily snap in half, without everybody on this ship, and I'm sure a few people on land as well, hearing her scream at you?" Emilio crossed his arms, obviously not pleased. "I'm sorry, sir... It won't happen again," Raphael mumbled, looking down at his shoes. "Like hell it will," Emilio scoffed, turning his attention to the girl. He studied her for a moment... there was something off about her. "Has she said anything even remotely coherent?" he asked, rubbing his temple, already having a migraine from her screaming. "Not in English, no... She said something like... sendiri? I think, but I'm not sure," Raphael mumbled again, displeased with himself. "Sendiri?" Emilio thought for a moment. He could speak bits and pieces of a plethora of languages, and this word was definitely familiar. Then he remembered, it was Indonesian, or something along those lines, for 'alone.' "Anda ingin dibiarkan sendiri?" he asked the girl, pretty sure that his words were correct.
SweetFloatsFlats
He frowned and made a hissing-like sound at Raphael before the captain appeared. Budi listened to them carefully, his eyes narrowed in annoyance as they took up more space in this small room just to talk like he wasn't standing right there. The room was stuffy and musky and hot enough with just himself and the other man in the doorway! He felt his stomach start to ache but he ignored it and stood, mostly quiet besides for shifting off and on different feet. Something about him screaming. It wont happen. He was tempted to start yelling again but found no reason too, and he was focusing on trying to understand them. He hadn't spoken? He was pretty sure he had said at least two english word, maybe they just got lost in the rest of his screaming, or perhaps he pronounced them wrong- he didn't know how to say alone in english, the word escaped him... He glared when the captian looked at her and muttered 'sendiri' under his breath. Raphael's pronunciation made him get a migraine. Then he was stunned. The man speaks! Budi opened his mouth, then closed it, giving a long hesitation. "...no." He said. Without the language barrier distracting them, and the shrill screaming, his voice did sound oddly low for a woman's. "Where... Where is yous takin' me?" He asked, doing little gestures with his hands. They seemed like sign language, but it wasn't, just a terrible habit he'd caught when trying to remember things. "I want know, who, what, why, where... are you going kill me?" He asked very seriously, trying to keep a serious look. He felt like he was going to dry vomit again. Charade
"We still haven't figured that out," Emilio said, rubbing his temple. "We don't really have the time to turn around and take you back, so you'll probably have to stay here until we're able to go back." He groaned, running one of his large hands down his own face, visibly frustrated. "Believe me, I don't want you here anymore than you do, and the quicker you can go home, the better." "Um, Captain, that's a little mean..." Raphael said softly. Emilio shot him a glare, causing the blonde man to whimper a bit. Then, he turned his attention back to the girl. "Anyhow, we aren't going to kill you. Although I'd appreciate it if you stayed out of my way and refrained from vomiting on my ship again, and if you know what's good for you, you'll stay away from Louie and Michael, the two that brought you here." He smelled the air and turned his attention to Raphael once more. "Why does it smell like death in here?" "Uh, well, because um, Russell died in here last week, remember?" he asked nervously, rubbing the back of his neck. "Oh yeah," Emilio said, clearly not phased by this, as he walked over to the window and opened it. "And why are you not doing anything about that?" "Sir, I thought that was Michael's job..." Raphael said softly, looking down at his hands. "Does that fancy degree of yours mean nothing, Raphael?" Emilio asked with a glare that shot daggers. "Michael does not come anywhere near this room. Got it?" "Y-yes sir." "Good. Now get to work, it's absolutely fucking rancid in here." The Captain looked around the room and grimaced. "And make sure that kid cleans himself off, I don't need my ship stinking anymore than it already does." With that, he left, closing the door behind him. Raphael nodded. "So um, I'll get you some water and a sponge, and um... would you like some fresh clothes? We don't have any female clothes but I'm sure you could wear one of the Captain's coats like a dress." He smiled, already aware that the other didn't seem to like him.
SweetFloatsFlats
e listened, furrowing his brow. Why was this guy so upset? Budi was brought onto this hip without his consent, and now he was going to be sent back! He couldn't get a word in, he was too distracted by his stomach and concern for what's going to happen to him. He needed too think. He nodded at what the captian said to him, not really worried about those two- thought maybe he should. He didn't know how he should go about this. Tell them he was a man, since they didn't seem to know? Or maybe, take this opportunity to be a woman... no, no he'd make something up- he couldn't risk his life for his useless obsession. He noticed the smell, but hadn't thought much of it. Death... someone died here. He cleared his throat. "I am... twenty..." He said at the kid comment, but the door was closed on his words. He looked over at the fidgeting man and sighed. No, it wasn't that he didn't like him- he didn't like his situation. He opened his eyes slowly and walked over to him. ".... female... I am not women..." He felt dizzy with worry, ill with doubt and just plain bad. "... i no can go back, they will kill me. I was too be given as gift for god..." He closed his eyes tightly and covered his mouth a bit. He wouldn't cry he wouldn't get sick. He opened his eyes again with a determined look. "... I am, uh... hungry." He said with a hesitation. Charade
"You're... oh, um... Oh." Raphael smiled nervously, so this wasn't a woman? Just... a boy that liked to wear women clothes? At least Louie and Michael wouldn't give him too much sexual trouble, but physically... well, that's another story. "Right, let me go get Julius, okay? He can make you something to eat." He smiled, before heading out the door. "Hey Sam?" he said to another male outside the door. "What's up?" the other man replied. "Can you stand guard for a bit?" Raphael asked. "I need to speak with Julius." "Stand guard?" the man chuckled. "For what?" "See for yourself," Raphael said, opening the door wider. A man with fiery red hair under an orange bandanna poked his head in. He couldn't be much younger than the Captain, and he wore bright, mismatched clothes similar to Michael's, only they seemed newer, and had less holes and patches. He was just barely taller than Raphael, but still shorter than Emilio. "Damn," he mumbled, seeing the other person sitting on the bed. "Michael and Louie brought her here?" "Michael and Louie, yes; her, no," Raphael said. "What does that even mean?" Sam said, glancing at the blonde. "Well um, y'see, she is actually a he," Raphael chuckled nervously. "Oh. Neat," Sam said, looking at the other boy -- man? -- once more. "Hey," he said, extending his hand to shake, as Raphael went off to find Julius. "The name's Samuel." SweetFloatsFlats
He felt unsure about his reaction, but it was about what he had expected, maybe a bit nicer. He doesn't seemed terrified or angry or disgusted, just surprised and maybe a bit embarrassed... Budi smiled a little. Well, he was a pretty cute girl. He couldn't blame him, he was probably embarrassed he got all flustered for a boy. He nodded, giving a vague bow and sitting down on his cot. Budi rested his head against the side of the ship. Of course, he never agreed to help him, or that they wouldn't end up killing him. After all, the captain promised he wouldn't kill a helpless, slightly illiterate woman- no, a girl. He rubbed his eyes and looked up as the other man entered the cabin. He went wide eyed, staring at his hair. Budi glanced at his outstretched hand and slapped it down, not understanding he meant to shake hands. He didn't even really know that was a thing. "... Samuel... do no touch me... I am Budi." He said, but the way he aid it made it sounds oddly like 'buddy'. His name was alot like buddy, but with a long 'u'. So, boo-dy. His eyes stayed fixed on his hair. "... your head... it is like fire." He smiled. Maybe this boy inner demons were strong too. Lust of those men- micky and louie or something- and greed of the general pirates. Ah maybe god had put him here for a reason. Budi didn't have much knowledge of science, he believed in the teir system, a wrathful god, red strings of fate and most importantly- destiny. He'd always seen a destiny where he was beautiful, but he also believed that the path he was given was for wicked. Well, here he was. Alive, dressed as a woman, and on a pirate ship. seemed about right.
Charade
"Ahaha..." Samuel rubbed the back of his neck, flashing a toothy grin. "Yeah, I guess you could say that." He was about to say something else, when the door opened, and Emilio stepped in. "So I see you've met our resident man-child," he said with a grin, crossing his arms and leaning against the wall. His demeanor had completely changed from earlier, and he seemed more... relaxed. "Hush, you're just jealous because I'm his favorite," Samuel pouted, sticking his tongue out and the Captain. "His?" Emilio inquired, raising an eyebrow at Sam, as his gaze shifted towards Budi. His eyes traveled from the top of Budi's head, down to his feet, then back up to his head? So a guy that liked to dress like a girl. For a split second, Emilio almost wondered if the other was into guys. But he quickly pushed that thought out of his mind. "You're a man?" SweetFloatsFlats
He smiled back, a calm and lightly patronizing one, like he was looking at a dog stand on it's back legs. He kept the smile as the captain walked in. Quite a freakshow he's running, and how he would've loved to say so, but he was put off by his change of attitude. He didn't really understand what a man-child was, but the fire headed man seemed nice enough. And he was funny! Budi chuckled, almost a sophisticated laugh. When he looked up he saw the captain eyeing him in a familiar way. Like a man looks at a woman. He felt hi face scrunch up then get a bit hot with the realization he was being examined in such a way. He pressed his lips into a line and gave a thoughtful look that held moments before and after Emilio asked his gender. "...yes..." He said simply, nodding. "Where the guy with food? I am hungry"
