[Ariesa]

Mori let out a soft sigh behind his mask as he walked down the pavement. It was dark out and barely anyone in sight. This makes him hate his job with a passion. Why was it that he had to work late? Didn't he do that last week? He fixed his glasses, the wind tossing strands of his black around in different directions. It doesn't matter now. At least he had a nice book to go home to. That being myths about vampires and their characteristics. It was very interesting to say the least, and Mori has been buried in it for a good week. Tp the discomfort of his friends.

 

This may seem to come off as, well, weird among other things. But he has a love for vampires. Not like those Twilight fan girls with people that sparkle in sunlight. Real, authentic vampires. Well, as real as they can get. He has books upon books of their folklore. Reading them over at least a good ten times. Which irks his friends, since he doesn't 'go meet new people' or date. He doesn't really feel the need to. Date that is. Everyone thinks he's weird once he shares his obsession with them. So, he stopped trying to meet new people.

 

A yawn fell past his lips. God it was late. And his apartment was at least another two miles away. Now wasn't that fantastic?

 

Calm down Mori, you're almost home. Soon to be wrapped up in a blanket and reading folklore.

 

Though the reassurance wasn't helping at all. He continued his journey down the dark street, cars passing him every twenty minutes. It seemed dangerous out, especially since there weren't many streetlights out, nor people. But the male wasn't the least bit worried. It's not like anything bad wpuld happen. Or that he'll get snatched up-.

 

He was suddenly grabbed and pulled into an alleyway. A hand over his mouth that muffled his scream. He spoke to soon. His legs were flailing about, trying to get away from the person who was holding him from behind. Only to have another guy come in front of him and grab his legs.

 

Shit! What the hell is going on?!

 

Mori tried to yell for help, only to have one of the guys strike him across the face. "Be quiet! Do you want to die?" The male pulled out a switch blade, holding it to his neck with a morbid look in eyes. He was going to kill him even if he was silent. Though he did quiet down, he didn't stop trying to escape. But the man behind him had a firm grip.

 

He really hates his job now.

Another day, another night in that ghost town that he started to live since he decided to watch over that kid. He never manage to understand what was so special about him anyway, but something inside him was telling him to have an eye on him. Maybe because he was getting always into trouble.

 

As he was doing his surveilence on the boy, he was distracted only for a moment by some strange movements a few blocks from where he was standing. Narrowing his eyes, tried to heare, sence or feal something but nothing came to him. Turning his gaze back to the boy he saw that he was taken hostage by two men, and one of them was waving in front of the boy a switch blade. Clentching is teeth, Naru forgot that he was supposed to stay out of sight and not letting the boy know about his existence, not to mention that he was a vampire, and he jumped down from the roof of the building, snaching the one that was with the knife, breaking his neck, and, moving like the wind he grabed the other one and tougged his teeth into his neck, drinking his blood, killing him. He was a little hungry to but only after he realised that he did all that in front of the boy.

 

Letting go of the corps, he was moving in slow motion, turning his gaze to the boy. This wasn't a scene one should assist. Specially not the boy. Yes, he was a monster, but he was only killing the bad guys.

 

Wiping the blood from his mouth with his hand, he turned to face the boy. Now was no turning back from this situation.

 

"Are you alright?" he asked slowly. Of course he wasn't alright! He just saw you drink blood from a person. How retarted can you be! shouted his inner self.

Mori thought it was all over, closing his eyes and waiting for the worse. But instead of being greeted with the sharp blade of the knife, a sickening crack sound echoed throughout the ally. Before he could open his eyes, the man behind disappeared as well. Causing him to fall back on his behind with a thud. What the hell was that? What's going on?? He opened his eyes, just in time to see one of the thugs get his life drained form his body. Literally.

 

What the fuck?!

 

The male started to crawl backwards on his hands. Only for his back to hit a trash bin. His breathing shallow and heavy. How...how can this be? Is his guy a vampire?! No, that's not possible. They only exist in movies and folklore. But then, who could explain the blood sucking thing?

 

Mori jumped when he heard the man talk, asking him if he was okay. It was pretty obvious he wasn't okay in the slightest. He stared at the man with fearful eyes. Not knowing if saying something will be safer than just high tailing it out of here. Though how fast the guy took out those guys, he wouldn't even make it a step. After a few seconds, he build up the courage to speak.

 

"Are....are you a...you know?"

 

He was afraid to even say the word. All his life, he's been obsessed with vampires. And now there was one right in front of him, asking him if he was alright. This had to be a dream, no other way. He must've fell asleep on the job because of how late he was working.

 

Yeah, that had to be it. Right? Right....he hoped.

Great. Now he freaked out, he was saying in his mind looking at the boy. No shit Einstein. He just saw how you killed two people in a second and drank theyr blood and he shiuldn't freak out? said his inner voice. That voice was starting to get on his nerves. Calming down, he closed his eyes for just a second right when the boy speaked with a shivering voice. Even if he wanted to be brave, Naru could feel his fear, or at least something.

 

"If I say yes, would you calm down? I am not gonna hurt you", he said slowly making a step towards the boy but stopped after one step thinking it wasn't a good ideea. Not just yet.

 

Better stay right were you are idiot Or he will run or worst, faint, said again his inner voice.

 

Scratching his neck, he was trying to figure out how he could get closer to the boy and talk. He didn't know what to expect from him. What reactions. Normal people would had faint directly but he was braver. He new about vampires. Sort of. Not that they were real, bu he had read, so he was a little shocked. He thought.

 

"You shouldn't wander around so late at night. It's dangerous", he said putting his hands in his pokets. Really? I just said that to him? Geeezzz. I am really stupid, he was thinking, wanting to palmface himself, but not letting that to be seen on his face.

Wait, what? Was this guy serious? How in the hell can he calm down when he just saw him drink someone's blood? Not only that, say that he wasn't going to hurt him? This had to be a dream of some kind. This is just too unreal for him to handle. At the man's, vampire's, question, he slowly nodded his head. Still staring at him just incase he was just playing with him and tries to kill him. Please god don't let him get his blood sucked from this guy, there's so much he hasn't done yet in life. So much he hasn't succeeded in.

 

That being going to the vampire festival in Romania. Wasn't that ironic in the darkest way.Mori jumped back when the vampire took a step further, forgetting his back was already to a trash bin. Fuck, he's trapped.

 

Okay, calm down. If this is a dream, hopefully, then this guy can't touch me. Right?

 

Slowly, he stood up with hesitant movements. But still kept his distance, a precaution. When the vampire spoke, he scoffed. "It's not like it was my choice to stay out late and almost get killed."Again, he loathes his job. It's his bosses fault that all this crazy shit happened. He let out a sigh, removing his glasses to pinch the bridge of his nose in irritation.

 

He better wake up from this dream. He want's to be back in his bed, surrounded by his lovely folklore and the cup noodles he love so much.

"How far are you from home?" asked Naru looking away, trying to be as distant as possible. He wanted to keep the distance from the boy since he saw his hesitation when he made a step forward to him.

 

It was strange to talk again with humans like a normal person and not a vampire in search of a pray. In the past he did had some ladies who he had seduced and manage to have fun with them and then kill them. But that was in the past. Now he was different, and even if the boy didn't believed him that he wouldn't hurt him, he didn't mind. It was normal.

 

"Let's get you home safe" he said turning his back, starting to walk slowly on the alley.

Mori gave the vamp a skeptical look. Should he trust him? This was just a dream anyway. Then why should it matter? With slight hesitation, he answer,"I live near bar. On Morgan street." He took one small step closer towards the man.

 

Quickly, he followed the guy. Staying silent the whole walk. What should he say? Should he say thank you or something? It would seem appropriate. "So....um," he started. Rubbing the back of his neck. "Thanks....I guess." He glanced over at the vampire, looking back at the ground. Trying not to trip over his feet as he walked.

 

This is this the weirdest day ever.

"Your welcome" he answered in a low voice, being careful to the sounds around. He heard just a few days before of some other animals attacks but they were actually vampire killings.

 

"If you stay on that address, why do you go through this alley and not the other way around?" he found himself asking the boy, being thankful the he was walking beside him or at least a little closer.

 

Sighing he continued. "Look, I know that you are still in a shock and so on but this isn't a dream. I am a real vampire, and stop thinking all thous nonsense that I might kill you cause I would not. Trust me, if I wanted to you would had been dead by now".

 

'You really think you are making him feel better by telling him that idiot? Geess'

 

He didn't stop walking and neither turn his gaze back to the boy. It was better for him not seeing his face, but unfortunately, he could hear the boys thoughts.

The male didn't know why he went through the alley either. He guesses it's because there are less people there and he didn't want to bump into anyone. Well wasn't he stupid. If he didn't go through the alley, he wouldn't have almost been killed, nor run into a vampire. His eyes widened when the other continued to talk.

 

"Gee, I feel so safe now." He said, voice a low mummer.

 

Of course I forgot the number one ability vampires' have.

 

His eyes widened when he actually took the other's words into consideration.

 

Wait, if he was able to read his mind, and this was suppose to be a dream of some sorts....Holy shit. Mori came to a halt, grabbing the man's arm as realization came crashing down on him. This was real?? But...how? Vampires are suppose to be legends, not your neighbor who lives down the street with a rose garden.

 

"This...isn't a dream," he whispered, he feels a little dizzy. Because he was talking to a real vampire! A creature of the night! His mind began to run with every fact he knew about them, and the questions he wanted to ask. Bypassing his fear for a moment.

Naru could hear all the babbling from the boys mind and turned when he caught his arm making him look at him. He was so childish in that moment and the fact that only now the boy realized that it was not a dream was making him even more naive.

 

Noticing the change in his voice and body gestures he grabbed the boy by the shoulders, trying to keep him steady. "Oi ... Don't you faint ... Is not a dream so stay awake" he said holding him firmly.

 

How could one person be so panicked after he spoke with him like a normal person? This boy was very strange and he couldn't understand how he was.

Mori snapped out of his racing thoughts when the other grabbed him by the shoulders. Jumping in his skin. He wasn't going to faint, per say. Just...yeah he was probably going to faint. He started to take slow, deep breaths. Trying to calm down a think. So this wasn't a dream, this guy really was a vampire, and he was so going to rub it in his friends' faces tomorrow.

 

"What's your name?" He asked out of nowhere. Well, he was curious. And the guy said he wasn't going to hurt him. Though he had his doubts. Who wouldn't be? His fear is completely rational to say the least.

 

The male stared up at the vampire, waiting for an answer of some sorts.

 

Hopefully he's not going to do the whole 'you can't know my name or get to close to me because I'm a monster' cliché.

Naru sight in relief seeing that the boy was feeling alright that he manage to speak again. Letting him go because he was starting to feel a little strange, he started to walk again.

 

"Name's Naru ... And no ... You cannot tell anybody about me ... That if you don't want to end up in a sanatorium or something" he said looking at the boy with the corner of his eyes.

 

As they talk, they manage to get out of the alley and heading to the house where the boy was living. "We are home boy" he said turning to face him. It felt odd to say 'home' again, since he didn't had one for to long.

Mori frowned when vampire, Naru, made him let go and continued to walk. He jogged to keep up with him, still frowning behind his mask. "You could've just told me not to instead of threatening me."

 

Plus, even if he told his friends, there was a 1 in a million chance they would believe. No matter how many times he said he met one until his face went blue. Sighing, he folded his arms as they walked to his house.

 

He looked up at his house. Finally. His eyes narrowed as he looked over a Naru. "My name's not 'boy'. It's Mori." He ran his fingers through his hair in slight irritation.

 

Just because there was a chance that the other was a hundred years older than him, doesn't mean he has to treat him like a child. The male didn't go into the house just yet, trying to figure out how he could repay the guy.

 

"Do you want to, I don't know, come in? I'm not forcing you...just, yeah."

 

Smooth, real smooth.

"When did i ..." he started realising how he addressed to the boy. He wasnt used to be to polite and dint thought that how he put the problem sounded more like a threat than a simple advice.

 

Hearing the boys name he smiled softly. It was a cute name, for a boy. He became surprized when he invited him into his house. Normal people didnt do that unless they where compeled.

 

"Are you sure you want to invite a vampire in your house?" he asked with a devilish smile on his face, but more amused than terifying.

[Ariesa]

He raised an eyebrow when the other male started to question when he called him boy. Daring him to say he didn't. He wasn't born yesterday, nor was he deaf. His eyes widened slightly when Naru smiled, catching him completely off guard.

 

So the theory of vampires being emotionless is completely out the window.

 

"Yes, I'm sure," he reassured the other, walking up to the door as he started to dig in his pocket for his keys, cursing softly under his breath. It took him a few seconds before he found the damn thing. Taking them out with a triumphant smile.

 

He put it into the keyhole, unlocking the door and opening it wide open. Looking over his shoulders, Mori waved his hand at the vampire.

 

"Well? You coming?"

Seeing how the boy was trying to find the keys made him laugh a little. He didnt di that for a long time, but it felt good.

 

As the invitation was made he entered the house, starting to look around, inspecting the place.

 

"Your alone?" he askedin surprized raising an eyebrow. This boy was something. Making him be surprized like that. Yes, the time passed and the families werent anymore like before, but still.

[Ariesa]

Mori pouted as he stomped into the house, putting his keys on the coffee table inside the living room. It's not his fault, his keys are good at being a jerk and hiding from him.

 

He took off his mask, setting it on he table as well as he turned on the lights. "Yeah, pretty much. Oh, but there is Annie."

 

He was sure she was somewhere in the house. Probably his room.

 

He looked over at Naru, sitting down on the couch and relaxing. Today has been a weird and long one for him. "Make yourself at home."

'Annie? Wonder who is any, he was thinking while he was entering the living room standing. He wasn't the type to sit down. He didn't do that to often. 'Ask him idiot' said his conscience. I thought you were dead, he thought. 'You thought bad' replied his conscience.

 

"Who is Annie?" he said it out loud turning to the boy, holding his gaze on him. It was like he could see through him. One could say that he was staring but he was normally looking.

[Ariesa]

Mori looked over a Naru, the mask no longer hiding his face. Showing off a piercing on his bottom lip. Why was he curious about Annie? Who knows, it wouldn't hurt to tell him anyway.

 

"Annie's my pet," he answered, turning on the T.V. He gave the other s small smile."She's probably somewhere in my room asleep."

 

She was mostly a night-owl, staying up with him when he was reading a book. But since he was at work for most of the night, he guesses she just headed to bed from shear boredom. He patted the seat next to him. Raising an eyebrow as he smiled at the vampire in reassurance.

"Your pet .... A ...dog or cat?" he was asking as he hated cats. Actually all vampires hated cats, but he found it interested to interact more with the boy. At least that was what normal people were doing.

 

Seeing another invitation from the boy he raised an eyebrow, smiling trying to figure out what he was up to.

 

"Are you trying to seduce me little one? Or are you also a secret vampire and I am that old that I cannot sense your power" he said while making a step after another towards the boy, until he was bend over the boy smiling, revealing his little fangs.

[Ariesa]

"She's actually a ferret," he answered, rubbing the back of his neck. Some of his friends that it was a weird choice, but most thought it was fitting. Considering, well in their opinion, he was similar to one. Which will forever confuse him.

 

His eyes widened as a faint blush came across his cheeks. S- seducing him?! His arms started flail around just a little as he tried to make the right words come out of his mouth.

 

"I-I'm not trying to seduce you!!" What is with this guy?! Plus, Mori fails at flirting. To the point that he has given up not that long ago. Accepting being alone with his books and Annie with wide arms.

 

He jumped back when the other bend over him, deepening the blush on his face. What the hell?! His eyes snapped to the other's fangs, heart jumping in his chest.

"Interesting pet" he whispered as he was very close to the boy, lifting his chin with one finger so that he can see the boys eyes. He started to turn the face one side to the other in slow motion , trying to see the boy better. More like admiring him.

 

"You are cute when you blush" he said slowly. "You could be a nice pet aswell" he added smiling devilish, getting even closer to the boy, positioning his hand on the back of the couch.

[Ariesa]

Moir was frozen on the spot. What the hell was going on here? His body jumped slightly when Naru lifted his chin, examining his face. He squeezed his eyes shut, his heart beating faster and faster. He wanted to get away as far as possible. But his body refuses to move.

 

A shiver went down his spine when the vampire spoke of him being a good pet. This is bad, dangerous even. It seems that some deity heard his inner plea when the house phone rang. Causing him to snap his eyes open.

 

"Phone! I-I need to go get that!"

 

He leaned back, wanting to get some type of space and actually get the phone. If it was one of his friends he'll be forever grateful. That is, if he was able to make to the phone.

The reaction of the boy made him even more amused. Hearing his beart beating so fast was making him feel strange. Feeling the puls through his vain was making him feel strange. It was like he was in some sort of a trance. Was that even possible? A vampire beeing hypnitised by a human? That was new.

 

He growled when the phon rang but let the boy go and answer it. It was plenty of time to play with his new pets nerves.

 

While the boy was on the phone, he went to his back, touching him slowly on his neck with two fingers and bending over he blew a little air on it. He was having so much fun.

[Ariesa]

He bit his lips when the vampire growled. Shit, this was really getting dangerous. When he was freed, he quickly got off the couch. Tripping over his feet trying to get to the phone. What the hell was all that about?! His heart was still beating fast, the blush on his face still there. He took a few calming breaths before answering the phone. "Oh thank god!"

 

"Dude, what's up with you? You sound like you ran all the way home or something."

 

Mori, rubbed at his face. Just glade that he got away from Naru for a moment. "Look, Kyoya, I need you to-"

 

He was interrupted by a gasp leaving his lips. Quickly, he covered his mouth with his hand. Damn it, he didn't escape. When the other blew on his ear, he squeezed his eyes shut as his body trembled.

 

"Mori? You okay? What's wrong?"

 

He wasn't even able to speak. His words stuck in his throat.
