The crowd applauded as the last note rung through the large auditorium. Nagisa's face drifted to see everyone cheer and smile at them. It was true that two different hands worked best, and it gave the whole song a different feel. He closed his eyes for a second taking in the best part.

"This is my favorite part" he murmurs feeling the spot lights on his face and the crowd roar.

 

The rest feel into place as Nagisa's and Kanae took first place. A man with white hair approached Nagisa and quickly complimented him

"I'm ElCaye" he says "I'm sure you've heard of me" nervously Nagisa answered and for some time they talked.

 

Their parents say in the front chair of the car while Nagisa and Kaname filled the back "that man was a famous musician" he says "he told me we did a good job" he could feel his childish glee in his words.

The moment when Kaname and Nagisa stood by each other under the spot light was weird for him to say the least. It felt utterly serreal, almost like a dream. If not for Nagisa who held his hand when greeting the audience he would have slapped himself in the face to wake himself up. The fact finally sunk in when they were on their way home and sitting in the back seat of the car.

 

"Oh."he replied half-heartedly to Nagisa's comment on the supposed famous musician, since it meant little to him. But he realized that it might mean a lot more to Nagisa, so he quickly put on a happy smile: "Yeah. He must have noticed how good you were despite working with a rookie like me."

"I'm sure he loved both of you" added in Nagisa's father before the boy could answer. The older man was far impressed that Kaname could learn so fast and Nagisa could teach so well.

"You boys sure have done a fantastic job" he says showing a proud smile. Nagisa smiled and leaned back onto the chair closing his eyes. He was tired and all the adrenaline rush had finished him now all he needed was a rest.

 

"I'm glad break is coming up soon" he adds "I need that"

"We still got the exams to deal with remember?" Kaname chuckled slightly and said: "Don't worry dad. I'll personally make sure Nagisa won't fail his history exam again."

 

"We'll see about that." Their father said halfheartedly. Being Nagisa's father he knew very well how his son usually do in school, so he wasn't really convinced.

 

'Come on, honey, have a little faith in your sons!" their mother said. "I know! How about if Nagisa passes his history test this time then we'll go on a vacation? It will be our first family trip together!"

 

"Sure." their father said as he spin the wheel and parked the car into the garage.

 

"You hear that Nagisa? A family trip together!" Kaname said with great excitement as they got off from the car. "Now it's on, brother. It's on. Expect hell starting from tomorrow." he smiled happily at Nagisa.

The vacation sounded perfectly well, but with exams in the way first it felt like a steel fence was between his way of freedom.

'This might be a long week' he says to himself.

 

Nagisa headed straight to his room, who had managed to stay clean for a long time. He places the trophy in the rack inside his closet. They had been given two because of their partner team work. He felt that hidding them was a good way to stay modest ,why would anyone want to display so many?, and there were indeed many!

He proceeded to removing his shirt and belt, then sat on the desk writing away at the classes he would take final exams for.

He sighs slightly knowing how his music professors would demand far more than the students can handle. He changed into pajamas but not before his stomach began to ask for something sweet.

Kaname went back to his room after he took a shower and dried himself off. He turned off the light and laid down on the bed trying to sleep. But the scene from the piano contest was replaying endlessly in his mind. He found himself still excited hours after the event. After turning here and there for half an hour he got up from the bed and walked downstairs. He went into the kitchen and poured himself a cup of milk, then put it in the microwave. After it was heated he took the cup out and added some honey, mixed it thoroughly with a tea spoon before sitting down at the dining table. It was then when he heard the familiar footsteps coming down the stairs, and as expected it was Nagisa.

 

"Couldn't sleep? Yeah, me too." Kaname smiled as he held up the cup and took a sip from it. "I've always found a cup of hot milk with honey helps when you can't sleep at night. Want me to get a cup for you? Or do you like something else?"

Nagisa smiles sweetly at Kaname, he had been a bit surprised at first to see anyone there but now he was glad.

"Sure thing I'll have milk" he says moving one of the chairs so it's next to where Kaname is.

He waits watching the other move about the kitchen.

 

"Where do you think we will go?" he asks trying to figured out Kaname's dream vacation spot. A million things jumped into his head, the vacation would mean time for the two to be together and not to mention connecting. As disturbing as it was he knew little of Kaname.

"Alright, just wait a moment." Kaname smiled as he began to prepare the hot mil for Nagisa, and soon returned with the steaming mug in his hand. "Be careful, it's really hot." he said as he put the mug on the table in front of Nagisa, then he sat back down at his seat.

 

He took a sip from his own mug and smiled as he felt the warm liquid warming him up from the inside. He thought for a moment and continued: "Where do I want do go? Hmm... that's a good question. Mom and I really didn't get much chance to travel around, so anywhere is new for me. That being said, it's getting cold real soon around here, and I've even heard that it's going to be a really cold winter. So perhaps somewhere warm would be nice? What about you? Where do you like to go?"

 

After Kaname have finished the mil he took the mug to the sink and rinsed it clean. He went back to Nagisa's side and said: "But remember father only promised to go if you pass the history test. Since the piano contest is over we now have plenty of spare time. I'll definitely beat all the information into your pretty head. Oh don't worry, I'm really good with carrot and sticks." He took a quick glance at the stairs and made sure their parents weren't coming down, then he leaned down and kissed Nagisa, and smiled teasingly: "Work hard if you want more carrot. Now goodnight." Then he waved goodbye to Nagisa before going up stairs and back to his own room.

He listened to the others suggestion agreeing at the tropical getaway idea. It would definetly be change of scenery since it normally wasn't all too tropical in their town.

His thoughts shifted as he drank the milk but was slightly alarmed hearing Kaname mention exams. His shoulders shrugged at the thought only to give the other a small smile.

 

"I'm sure you're a good teacher" he murmurs still doubtful at his in ability to retain history. Overall the family vacation was a great motivation and Nagisa most certentainly did not want to be the one to ruin it.

Thankful for the small kiss he watched Kaname go bac upstairs.

Sighing he laughs before following too some time after.

The day after the contest Kaname began to tutor history for Nagisa. It wasn't easy as the music genius was no where as bright when it comes to the world's past. But Kaname managed to force Nagisa to remember at least some of the basics, and prepared him for possible questions which may occur in the exam. He did so both with incredible patience, and perhaps more importantly, the "rewards"he gave Nagisa whenever he performed well. Namely, himself. Ranging from a kiss, a hug, to something more explicit.

 

Soon the exam was over, and the grades came back well. At least much better than before. The planning for the vacation ended swiftly, and before they know it they were on the flight to the middl of the Pacific.

Seeing that Kaname was far more patient than anyone before allowed Nagisa to increase his own efforts. His palms served for paper, as he could look at the dates and names written there in case he ever wanted a quick review. Small post it notes covered his room and bathroom mirror where he would be reminded of important events.

It was hard yet possible and what came after made it the better.

 

All stress left his body once the tests came back. Achieving a B- had been a complete miracle for he had expected a C, but he should've known better than to doubt.

With content the family prepared their tropical trip, while their small town was hit with breezes of winter.

The view, rooms, and people appeared very different in Hawaii, something Nagisa found very intriguing. The island was a competitive ground for many tourists while English was dominating.

His father arranged everything from dates and hotels, his own performance better than Nagisa's

"I'm glad dad knows how to speak this" he adds

"Yeah I know." Kaname answered as he sat down on the bed in their room. He did well in English class, but it's a complete different story when it comes to actually speaking it. "But at least we know to shout 'help me!' when we're in trouble right?" he said smiling.

 

Kaname looked around the hotel room, and the large double bed he was sitting. Apparently when their father made the reservations for the hotel room it was already quite full since people usually made plans for a trip months in advance, So only rooms with one single large bed were lft. He remembered their parents apologizing for the two having to share the bed, and he acted like the good son he was and said it was alright, while cheering happily inside.

 

"Did mom and dad said what we're going to do next?" Kaname said as he dangled hia feet.

Nagisa could feel Kaname's light mood in the air. It was something that came to him naturally as of everything else, he had simply grown so much to Kaname.

"I'm glad for that" he replies as they head to the room.

 

Despite the single bed the place was large itself, with a lovely view of the citie and specially the beach. He walked towards the window to snap a picture of the water.

"I'm sure they want to do something alone now" he adds "the trip was long"

His eyes catch Kaname looking at the bed before ripping his eyes from it, and made Nagisa smile "are you excited?" He asks not referring to their vacation.

"Of course I am. Mom and I never got to travel before." Kaname said with a big smile. He then shifted to the side of the bed and picked up the phone: "Let me just check with them for a sec... let's see.... room 140...5..... Ah.. here we go........ Hey mom? Yeah, we've settled in... Ok.... you guys wanna take a nap? Okay no problem, we'll entertain ourselves. Okay.... okay.... see you guys at dinner then? Bye Mom!"

 

Kaname turned to look at Nagisa and said: "So we have till dinner to ourselves... What do you feel like doing?"

The question hit Nagisa like a rock. Was he expected to do anything? Plan ahead?

He became nervous as he looked back at Kaname.

"I-I don't know" he says "but we can go see things around"

He had concluded that if they were surrounded by people Nagisa would relax and simply have ideas come to him, he just really didn't want to let Kaname down.

Kaname chuckled and walked up to Nagisa： "Don't be nervous. I wasn't expecting you to have got everything planned out or whatever. We could just chill out in the room. It was a long flight plus the jet-lag. We could get some rest too. I mean..."

 

Kaname leaned on Nagisa and raised his head, kissing him gently on the lips. He smiled shyly and said: "We have this big bed to ourselves... I missed actually sleeping together with you."

Nagisa's tense shoulders relaxed as he took in Kaname's loving look.

"Yes"

It reminded him of a sweet afternoon in sprint, when the wind would brush your hair and everything was peaceful. Spontaneously Nagisa picked up the smaller boy wedding styled and walked him to the bed. Softly he placed the other on the bed and curled next to the body, his hand circling Kaname's waist.

"Perfect, you and I and your amazing scent"

 

The room was silent, but the large glass window provided a shade of colors inside the room. It added to the calmness of everything but as he laid there Nagisa found himself growing urgent and could not assure rest to Kaname's for the night to come

Kaname let out a light mumble as he was being picked up. To be honest he quite enjoyed being carried by Nagisa, it made him feel that he could depend on the one carrying him no matter what may come in the future. If he could he could spend the next eternity being held like that. Of course he didn't expect a musician like Nagisa could actually do that, so once in a while is more than enough, and he chuckled imagined the scene Nagisa with a body builder style holding him.

 

As he was laid down on the bed Kaname felt a surge of happiness seeing Nagisa laying beside him. He moved closer to Nagisa, close enough to feel his breath against his own skin. Ah.... how much he had missed this... Even though they had their fair share of passion in the past few months, it's such quiet times that they really lacked, as they always had to be hurry to stay out of sight. He chuckled when Nagisa talked about his scent, and said: "Well thanks. Considering we haven't got a chance to shower since we've step out of the house door like yesterday, I'm glad you still find me bearable. That being said..." Kaname curled a bit closer to Nagisa and sunk his face into Nagisa's chest, taking a few short sniffs. He then looked up to Nagisa and smiled shyly: "I like your scent too, how you smell normally, and how you smell when you're freshly out of the shower. But most of all I love how you smell when you're all sweaty and slimy after we've... you know..."

From his sight opened eye lid Nagisa observed the other speaking of his sex like features. It was often often this was said, and he grew embarrassed by daring too. His hand slipped to bring Kaname's lowed body closer; now laying closely under the covers.

"I believe" he says "I will always find you tolerable"

His hand moved to remove a few strands of hair that had fallen on Kaname's face, the action simple and delicate bringing a small smile to his face.

"I'm glad we have this moment, not that I don't appreciate the others because I do" he chuckles " but I really was hoping for time alone"

His lips softly place a line of kisses on Kaname's neck, his body slightly grinding against the other. His hands were fairly tight around the boy only to reassure he understood the small danger he'd walked into.

Kaname chuckled slightly when Nagisa laid his lips on his neck since it tickled a little. But everywhere Nagisa had touched began to feel like it was heating up, sending signal to his brain which slowly and surely began to cloud his mind. Kaname's hand began to traverse along Nagisa's body, along his waist and up to his back, then coming forward along his shoulder. Eventuanly his hand ended up on Nagisa's chest. Kaname smiled: "Nagisa, you're heart is bumping like crazy.
