[Key-Tokki]

Ashton groaned softly, he was so warn out, he could barely keep his eyes open, he's been beaten, drugged and shot up with something. Why did I do that, I just wanted to help him. Th is unfair. This hurts, please, it hurts. His mind whispered weakly, however when he heard the others voice in his mind he was instantly more aware. The alien was goign to come and help him. I can make it out of this. He thought, eyes widening slightly as suddenly all the things he was going to miss if he died flashed threw his mind. Please, I do not want to die. He thought simply towards the alien, the other ment were arguing about something and didn't notice Ashtons renewed energy, however hopefuly he was, he was havign a hard time just staying awake at this point.

"Listen to me" says Axel into the boys ear "I'm going to cut the ropes but do not! move I'll say it again you cannot move or you're dead! You hear me human?"

He could tell the boy was more than out of it, his head , even as he tried to keep it up, was slightly hanging and moving to the sides. Axel knew these guys had drugged him, it was obvious, but it made him a bit more mad than he had imagined,

 

'It's the body, not me' he told himself as he tried to calm his anger. Using the small knife he cut the ropes and, just as instructed, the boy did not move.

 

"Yo guys" called Axel with a slightly smirk now making himself visible "who wants to play?"

Instantly one of the guys took out a gun and aimed at him, but before he could shoot Axel's knife had been slammed into the others throad hitting a major artery.

 

Watching horrifyingly the others backed away but kept their positions. Without hesitation Axel rushed to the other and hit firmly a pressure point making the second man fall. One of the group ran off before Axel could get him but the other two stayed and shoot at him.

Although the suit was bullet proof you could still feel the momentum and pressure of the bullets. Quickly he tapped a few bottoms in his right hand and a gun appeared.

The two guys soon feel to the floor.

 

Walking to the boy Axel grabbed the small face in his own hand and pulled it up. The boys eyes were full and a dark spot filled in his face.

Grabbing his wrists he pulled the boy over his shoulder and exited the room.

Ashton nodded hazily when he eard the being giving him instuctions, don't move, now that much he could do. As soon as he felt the roles cut and loosen as a result he relaxed instantly. I'm going to make it. He thought quietly to himself, however that was before blood spread through the room. He watched in utter shock as one of the men fell to the ground, bleeding out within seconds. Ashton did not move, he did not even blink as he simply watched the man bleed out and die right in front of him. If I had not helped the alien, they would not have been sent for me, he would not be dead. The young male thought numbly, not reacted at all until he heard al the gun fire. His hands reaching up to cover his ears as he closed his eyes tightly, scared, yet again, he was so scared. He jumped slightly when he felt his head tugged up to look the other in the face, his eyes were heavy and out of it but somehow there was still shock in them. He was almost sick when he felt himself tugged up through the air and next thing he knew he was dangling limpy over the mans shoulder, the last thing he saw was the dead body of the first person who had there artery stabbed, then he blacked out.

Axel returned to the ship a few minutes after and left the area. He knew this had signed his own entrance ticket, retreating the cure would no be so easy now.

'Not that it ever was' he told himself.

 

Moving to the boy he examined the pupils and then heart beat, he had indeed fainted but everything was back to normal.

His hand turning white he moved it to the boys face, there he began healing. According to his planets laws Luxen healing any other species but their own was a severe punishment; Axel knew this yet it being Earth he leaned back on the rules.

The dark area on the boys face was now gone. Moving to the shirt Axel removed it revealing white skin with a large black bruise.

Placing his warm hand in the skin he healed there.

"Wake up" he whispered to the boy "you must wake up soon"

Warm.... It's so warm.

 

Ashtons mind whispered softly, a few moments ago he had been in so much pain but now he was so warm and comfortable.

It was like laying in a warm bed after a long hard day outside in the cold, nothing could describe it more, warmth, happiness, calm.

Oh, did I die? Is this heaven?

He thoughtm thinking that maybe this would not be to bad to spend eternity like, however his eyes slid open slowly and a bright light filtered in, making him groan in annoyance.

Reaching up he rubbed his eyes sleepily before he felt the familar, warm pressure on his chest, looking down he saw a bright hand pressing itself softly against his now fading bruise.

His eyes followed the arm up and he found himself once again looking at the alien. His responce was once again blunt, and delaied, "

Oh, you still owe me two containers of whine." Stating this fact simply, like nothing else that had happened or was happening mattered at all.

Slightly smirking Axel looked down at the boy "So it would seem"

 

The marks were gone and now boy had awoken, meaning great news for Axel and yet another trouble. While the boy slept he began to wonder over and over why he had helped him. Weren't humans supposed to be the enemy?

 

"Getting you back to your house is useless now that they know you, but I don't exactly supposed I could just leave either can I" he asked the smaller figure while he helping him rise from the area he was laying on.

 

Should he report this back to his people? Axel looked into the boy's eyes and for once got a sense of equality, the large eyes were so determined they almost didn't look human.

Ashton listened to the other man quietly, and everything finally began to set in. He no longer had a home to return to, all of his friends were either never going to see him again or be taken and questions for his where abouts, he was never going to see his girlfriend again, never going to go to work and deal with his pig of a boss again. The last two optitions did not strike him as two bad, he had been trying to leave her for weeks and his boss was a completely block head, how he managed to get such a large job was before the smaller boy. With the othes help he was coaxed into a sitting position, he felt a bit stiff but completely renewed, there was no pain left at all and internally he felt a sense of peace and calm. He glanced back over at the other and looked directly at him. He had saved his life and now the alien had saved his, everything was even now, except for the whine of course. "If I go home there probably going to kill me or worse, "Ashton stated simply before continuing,"My name is Ashton, by the way, I usually go by Ash. Are you going to dissect me?" He inquired, such a strange question was really not to far off in this case.

Taken aback by the question Axel stares at the boy.

"And why the hell would I do that" he asked Ash "is that what you think aliens do?"

 

The answer was meant to sound sarcastically and a bit humorous. Axel, being the way he was, usually stayed away from such human characteristics. Though with this boy he felt more at ease, maybe it was the fact that he had pulled a full rescue mission, or maybe it was his eyes.

Smiling Axel leaned in and examined the others face "you have very fine characteristics" he stated "perhaps I should send my people a diagram of you so they can clone your features"

This was a joke, cloning, being possible in his planet, was not often performed.

 

Slightly relaxing Axel gave a last look at the man before he moved to the computer, there he typed up a few things and came to a conclusion.

 

"Listen to me Ashton, join me, join my people and help me find what your kind is hiding so desperately" he said in a low voice "Help me and I will not only keep you alive, but take you to a far more comfortable planet than here, and there I guaranty your safety until you die of old age"

 

Slowly Axel made his was back to Ash, looking at him instantly, almost like a lion at his prey "Join me and you will have the greatest gift, your life"

Ashton paled for a moment, slightly afraid that he had somehow offended the alien being that stood in front of him.

Despite how at ease he felt with this other person, it was still clear that he was not human and likely did not have the same ideals or even basic moral principles.

On this beings planet, for all ashton knew murder was perfectly accessible.

He was pulled from his thoughts however when he found this ethereal individual extremely close to his face.

Eyes widening a bit he looked straight into the others face as he felt his own features being looked over closedly, a pale flush rose to his cheeks as he found himself slightly emberessed for a reason he could not exactly comprehend.

 

"A clone?" He repeated, rather awestruck at the idea of there being two of him in one universe and the idea honestly frightened him.

That would mean he could die, and there would just be another ,a replacement, as though his existence could be replaced so simply.

The mere thought of that made a cold shiver run down his spine. Once again though, he was saved from his thoughts by the other speaking up again, listening to his request he sat quietly for a moment, thinking over his responce. He had always wanted to go someone new, somewhere exciting, every since he was young, he wanted to live a life worth something, but was that worth going against his own kind?

"I don't even like my own kind, but that does not mean that we are all bad. I do not think I should just give up on my own people to help someone who I don't even know. What is your point here? I can promise to help you, as long as none of my own are going to get hurt in this. I don't want to be a part in sparking a war between my kind of yours." He stated simply, for a moment he might have looked extremely mature, had he not felt the need to add,

"Oh, I left my cat at my house ,can we pick her up really quick before someone takes her?" Any adult like aura he may have had about him dissapeared the moment his pet became a priority over the human race.

"The spark of war had already been lit the second your kind decided to kill of half of my race" said Axel in a sharp tone remembering the faces of his people days before he was sent to Earth.

 

"You humans thirst for power but do nothing but shoot guns at the face of fear" he said while his face, with out him knowing, showed a grave pain and sorrow. Quickly looking away he heard the boy talk about something he left at home.

 

"W-what is a cat" asked Axel

Ashton frowned visibly, his small hands bunching up into fists as he pushed himself up from where he had been sitting so that he could walk over to the other man. Trying to keep any sign of doubt from his face as he did so, he looked the other directly in the face before he spoke, making sure to be as straight forward as possible. "No, we humans did nothing. Maybe those in power attacked your kind, but we humans, means all of us. I for one, have done nothing, in fact I put my life on the line for you, and for what? I had no reason to help you, no motive, but I did.So maybe 'you humans' is not the correct term. Do not lump me together with the people who are clearly murderers, especially when I have literally given up everything for you." He spoke, his voice not wavering at all, letting out a low breath, he managed to calm himself down a bit before continuing. "My cat, it is a pet. Like, a soft little ball of fur that you keep around for company. You do not have pets where you come from?" He inquired then stopped, imagining the larger man walking around holding a kitten made him burst out into laughter at the mere idea of it.

Seeing the others boy sudden reaction Axel stood there 'humans are so out of it' he though 'they fight with in each other and then defend one another'

 

"All I need is one to represent all" he states keeping his ground. "but I will not fight you on this manner"

 

It had not been all this way, at one point Axel had actually loved humans. Luxen bodies in general loved humans. They radiated warmth and provided for energy carrying machines. It all soon changed as he saw their loved ones being killed.

 

Their planet, being far too similar to Earth, depended on sun light. He had been 77 when it happened, barely entering his teens, and his vision of humans completely changed.

 

"My cat, it is a pet. Like, a soft little ball of fur that you keep around for company. You do not have pets where you come from?"

 

Ball of hair, was the only thing that stuck to Axel as tried to organize the boys description. "In our planet we have similar creatures, they are not such complex organisms and serve more as a partner than a pet" he said

"A partner?" He asked, instantly imagining the other having a romantic dinner with a cat, and once again cracked up.

The government on earth told the citizens that the aliens had attacked our space satlight that we had up near them, many people died.

That is supposedly why this war started, however even when the they were informed of it there were clear were holes in the story, Ashton for one just assumed that they were straight out lying about it.

It was obvious the humans were at fault, however, it was not everyones fault, just those who had the power.

So it was wrong for either side to blaem the entire planet occupants because of the mistakes of there leaders.

It would be like getting mad at a dog for biting someone when the owner was the one who gave the command.

"I know it seems childish, but I love it, can w please go get it? It is kind of all I have." He spoke, for once really pleading to the others good natured side.

"Yes a partner" answered Axel "the are small about 5 inches or so, we call them Souls"

Moving to the far end of the ship a door opened and he stept inside, his voice still audible "they are.... Well honestly they have always been there im not sure what they do, but we get energy from them also" he states as he exits the room now dressed fully human.

 

His suit had been replaced by dark jeans and a dress shirt, the top covered by a dark coat. Axel walked to another area in the ship and typed in a code.

 

"Let's get your pet" he said as a large gabinet like drawer opened revealing a full set of guns from his planet. Reaching for one Axel placed it on the back of his belt where the coat fully covered it.

 

"I'm really hoping your organism does not make loud noises"

[Key-Tokki]

Ashton turned and followed after the other, despite the current situation, he was very curious about the other. A real Alien, they had seen others before, but they were always hostile, at least that is what the public were told, now it was pretty clear that it might have been the humans who were hostile instead of the other way around.

 

"It is a cat, it may mew a bit, but that is about it. She is really well behaved, if you take me with you to this other planet, we can take her with us, right?" He asked, reaching down and picking up one of the guns that had been set ont he table, however he tried to hold it properly and mishandled it a loud ring went off as the item in his hand shot three quick shots in the direction in front of him, missing Axel by inches and causing ashton to jump backwards and drop the gun.

 

Reaching up he rubbed his cheek before looking to the other cheekily, before commenting. "Maybe, you should do the shooting." Stating this simply he laughed, rather ackwardly. "You never said exactly, what are you here to do? You said we have ruined your people, but what is you being here going to solve?"

Slowly his face moved to the left to find the gun had fired and hit the end wall. Turning around Axel came face to face with the clumsy boy. His own eyes wide, "y-you...." was all he managed to say.

 

"Yes I will handle the guns" he states clearing his throat.

They had now begun to exit the large ship when the boy asked him about the reason he found himself on this planet.

 

"I'm not sure if you have figured this out by now" he said as the made their way through a dark mount of trees "I double your age and therefore experience"

 

Looking down Axel began to calculate where he should begin.

"My anatomy is simpler than a humans, I'm just light, but I can be drained from it. About 68 years ago it was Informed to us by a neighboring planet that humas had initiate contact with extra terrestrial galaxies. At first we dismissed it" taking a breath Axel continue " my planet is billions of light years away, how could humans catch up to us so quickly? We all asked ourselves until one of them was caught in our planet"

 

"Our generals had no intention of killing it and our king let it go free, that is when we failed." pausing Axel fisted his hand as he recalled what followed.

 

"The Luxen planet was attacked by a large nuclear bomb in its central capital, covering our sun in that region. To save our king and the citizens they all captured their human form; which as you know obtain energy from food. But the humans were a step ahead of us and that's when the massacre begun"

 

Turning around Axel stopped Ash on his tracks "a plague spread through our capital killing our king and half of the citizen popular. That alone was 500,000 citizens. Of course the armies that had been called to the capital never got a warning, because" said Axel with a chuckled "everyone in central were all dead"

 

"When reinforcements arrived the plague soon took them, of course spreading it was not too hard. Our ally planets refused to help us from fear and our race began to wither and die."

 

"You see Ash, my planet now has 900,990 citizens alive and slowly drying our scientists found a way to slow the process but not a cure. My planet....once had 1 trillion citizens that lived happily, who didn't bother with race, or skin color, or gender. Now I ask why do you think I am here for?"

 

The tension could be felt and quickly Axel backed away and kept walking to a black car that was parked at the end of the light forest

Ashton followed after the other quietly as he listened to the story, his heart dropped. Somehow he felt guilty, in place of his entire race, though it was not exactly his fault and he knew that. Over all it was an extremely sad situation, that could likely have been easily avoided. "I am sorry for you, and your people. I am sure that you lost a lot in that, we have fought with others since the begining, we even fight amoung ourselves, over land, love, fortune. There is never a need for it, generally if the two parties can just sit down and discuss it there is a comprimise. You said they dropped a nuclear bomb right? There was a few times where we even dropped them on ourselves, that is why we have to get shots so often, the air here is thick and polluted in most parts because of all that we have done to this planet, it is sad really." He mused softly, continuing to follow after the other, stumbling over a stray tree root as he did. "This place is complicated." The smaller boy slowed down then stopped, looking over at Axel before he spoke. "Promise me, promise me if I help you, I am going to get to see your planet." His eyes did not waver as he looked straight into Axels eyes, completely serious. "Don't leave me here alone, okay?" He added and it became clear, that this small human who as lost in life, was really alone, even on a planet covered with his own people, he was lonely.

His eyes widened at the sudden confession from Ash "t-that will be fine" he said as he took in the determine eye of the boy.

Slowly, without realizing, his hand moved up making its was for the pink cheek of Ash's face, soon it stops

 

'What was I about to do?' He asked himself a bit alarmed.

"Let's go" he says as he cracks open the door for the boy and moves on to his side.

 

"This care can surve as transportation for now. But we won't be here soon" he states as he drives away from the area.

Tapping his watch a light pops up and soon disappears "this will tell us if we are being followed"

 

The drive was short but Axel dared not park to close to the area, stopping the car he moved the keys and shifted in the chair to face Ash.

 

"Grab everything you can and pack it in going with you but make sure you hurry"

He froze however when he saw a picture of his girlfriend of the mantle, walking over, he laid it face down so that it was no longer showing the picture. Rushing back over to the bed, he picked up his bag and his cat and ran back to the other, his hair was a bit messy now, evident from all the running around he had just done.

"I am ready to go, where are we even going?" He asked, heading back towards the front door.

"Ever wanted to travel the world?" asked Axel to the other as he reached to the bag and put it into the cars back seat.

 

"According to my receptors and satellites the specimens for the cure are all around the world" he states as the engine turned on "which shows how different nations were probably in it together"

 

It seemed resenable now that all the specimens were moved after his first attack on monkey:1.

"There are 12 of them, and like hell getting the rest will not be easy"

Ashton climbed back into his seat, holding his furry companion in his lap before buckling his seat belt. "So, we are going to travel the world to collect the salvation for species on another planet?" He inquired lightly, however could not conceal the smile that spread over his face at the idea of it. "I haven't said it yet, but I am definitely glad I saved you. You know, I was just going to keep going to work, everyday, the same routine, for the rest of my life. Wake up, shower, eat, work, come home, eat, sleep, and it just all began again." The blonde spoke softly, reaching up so he could lightly pet his animals head lightly, watching as Nia climbed over the seat so she could sniff at the alien and lightly licked him, then wrinkled her nose and returned to her owners lap. "Oh, and my name, I go by Ashton, my friends call me Ash." Leaning back in his seat he looked over at his new travel companion, he smiled and asked, "What can I call you?" The snow had collected rather heavily on the road by now, people could be seen rushing around trying to shovel there driver ways before the snow got to high, all of these problems seemed so trivial now, so small in comparison.

"Ashton" repeated Axel "such a human name yet.... almost..." He stopped his words. The name sounding almost to familiar it slightly scared him.

 

"You can call me superior highness" said Axel as a joke trying to keep his face as straight as possible. He had to admit he was growing find of this man, whether he was a retarded human or a gun failure.

"I was given the name Axel by my creators, it means father of peace" he says as he keeps his eyes on the road. His attention sometimes drifting to the white solid that adorned the area.

 

"T-tell me about yourself" said Axel in a slight murmur

Ashton brought his gaze up to look over at the other, curious as to what he wanted to say but he watched the man trail off and sensed he would not be completing the thought. Even the human laughed at the joke, not because it was particularly funny, but because it struck him that someone so powerful and otherworldly, was trying to crack jokes, and it had been so lame. He letting out a string of hearty laughter, having to wipe his eyes of the moisture that had collected there.

 

"About myself?" The smaller one repeatidly lightly, heaving to lean back in his seat and glance out at the snowy terrain outside to think of a proper answer. "Well if you mean about my past, there is not much to it. I was spoiled, my parents were both wealthy so made sure I always had the best tutors, best play mates, things like that. They both were always working and if not working, they were at buisness events or parties, my mother died when I was 14 and my father died two years ago. They both lived good lives." He concluded before continuing, " I got a job as an intern at the embassy a while ago, that is pretty much all there is to know about me. Compared to you, I probably live a very dull life. Have, no, had a girlfriend but she will definetly not miss me to much." Dragging his gace back towards Axel he spoke, "Can you tell me about you? Your people? Your planet? Do you have snow there? I have always wanted to explore new places, I never thought I would get the opportunity to do it on an entirely different planet though." Ashton exclaimed, his eyes were bright as he thought of all the possibilities, like those of a child who was looking to space to catch a shooting star.

"Just because you technically live a good life it doesn't mean its a good life" said Axel as he kept his eyes on the road.

 

"Can you tell me about you? Your people? Your planet? Do you have snow there? I have always wanted to explore new places, I never thought I would get the opportunity to do it on an entirely different planet though."

 

Soon he found himself being bombarded with questions, it was indeed cute, which was a good and bad thing because human's curiosity was far too dangerous.

 

"W-well" he said clearing his throat "I am, what you call, and old man, age wise!." he quickly corrected "My people are all light and my planet is, in a sense, very much like yours. We have water and land, although we lack all the animalia species" he answered as he gave a quick glimpse at Ash "we do not have seasons because our planet not rotate but we do get cold winds and low temperatures at time" he says "it also rains too"

Ashton glanced down at his small cat, wondering what it would be like not to have the small thing there for him every day. He likes coming home and having her jump at his feet, knowing that if something happened to him and he died that at least another living thing would really, truley miss his company. The animal sitting in his lap was staring out the window, looking at the land scape excitedly as it was her first real time outside since he had brought her inside. Leaning his head back he yawned wide before speaking, his gaze never leaving the cloudy sky outside his window.

 

"A planet far away, where it rains but there are no seasons, where it does no rotate but still get's winds." He repeatid softly, reaching down and running a hand threw his cats fur gently as his eyes drooped sleepily, it had already been a long day and this kidn of excitement was not something he was accustomed to. "You should probably find somewhere to stop so that we can get supplies and food and such if you are wanting to travel the world, there should be a hotel not to far down the road." Ash murmured before closing his eyes and trusting the other enough he allowed himself to drift off, his head lowering slightly as he did.
