Cool breezes of summer air swept through a messy mop of dark brown hair, a relaxing addition to the view from the hillside. The sun was setting, causing the sky to turn a tropical orange color and the dark blue to soon come forward bringing the night and all of it's stars was right behind it. From where the nameless boy was sitting, most of the town was visible in one sight and he couldn't help but be curious as to what things were inside such a thing. He was naked in a field of tall grass and wildflowers, his knees up and his chin on top of this folded arms, not a very favorable place considering bugs and snakes could be lurking anywhere... but he wasn't bothering anything. Nothing would possibly want to attack him, the brunet was practically apart of the scenery and nothing more.

He could stay there forever, and he probably could. Being dumped off early that morning, there wasn't anything for him to do, and there was nothing he could do but enjoy the sight.

Name: Doug Hemdy

Age: 29

Personality: Though he is rough-looking, Doug is a kind man at heart. He likes sweet, soft things, he likes romance, he likes being the "Knight in shining armor". He likes being the protector. Doug can appear cold sometimes, though he rarely is - when he is acting cold, however, the person one hundred percent sure deserved it. He doesn't forgive easily, but he is a bit naiive sometimes.

The speed was always one of his favorite things. The feeling of freedom, a certain sense of loneliness as he drove through the empty roads with no one stopping him. He liked being free and away from all problems of the world. That didn't mean he fancied being lonely, certainly not. Even now, when he thought of the woman that he thought would be the one for a long, long time, the one who crushed his heart into tiny pieces, he felt something squeezing his chest. For a man who looked like him, no one expected this many feelings about a break-up. And yet, he was only human. So he left. He left, taking only a few of his personal belongings, money and his bike.

Never before was he so glad he'd bought that little house in another city, where the stars were just as bright as the moon. He began slowing down as he got closer to the said city until something in the grass caught his eyes. Damn... Was that... A human?

Slamming on the brakes, Doug stopped the motorcycle, pulling off his helmet. "Hey, you there. Are you okay?" He asked, narrowing his eyes. "What are you doing out here? It's freezing." The brunet spoke, tilting his head slightly. Was he naked? The hell?...

Name: Zen (Made up name he gives himself)

Age: 21

Personality: Very curious, simple minded in humanity, calm, playful and by definition-- odd

Short Bio: Claiming to come from the sky, Zen describes life not from earth before he was left off in the mountains of Earth for reasons he could not remember. Not keen on 'real life', he can appear very innocent, but can lack sane thoughts at times. Zen can't remember his name nor much about where he truly came from... Loving the water and all of Earth's inventions, he wants to learn/ experience as much as he possibly can once brought into new environments (ex: A carnival, mall, library, the beach)

He has no known family, and appears to have never existed before being found suddenly.

Being taken out of focus, the boy looks around to find a person looking at him and talking to him... it was the first human he'd seen all day and this one looked... hairy. "I'm alright," he says as if it was obvious, picking his head up from his arms, "I don't think it's that cold. Are you cold?" Not ashamed one bit at his nudity, he looks up at the sky and nods a little, "The sun is setting, so I guess it is a little chilly... But I'm still fine. In fact, I feel pretty good. It's quiet and the view is nice from here."

Meeting his first person, smiling was natural and friendliness. In a new world, making enemies was a terrible idea... This man looked pretty tough, a great kind of ally to have! "Do you want to sit with me? We can look at the things down there together!"

Worry made its way to Doug's eyes as he got off his bike, walking closer to the other. Without a word, he took off his jacket and put it around the other's shoulders. "You shouldn't be out like this. Do you have anyone you could call?" He asked, offering a hand for the other to stand up. The man wasn't really bothered by him being naked, it didn't matter that much to him - perhaps he was a bit worried he'd get sick, but nothing more than that.

"Do you... What's your name?" Doug realized soon enough that asking if this guy had a name would have been rude. "Do you know where you are?.." He asked with slightly furrowed eyebrows, the wind messing up his hair.

Looking at the man's hand curiously, he smiles and looks at his hand, "I know about hands," he shows him his palm, laughing, "I don't need to see yours." The mysterious boy touches the jacket with his fascinated smile, the lining of the clothing appealing to him greatly. It was so warm and soft on the inside, so much better than having nothing on at all, "Thank you for this... this extra layer! For your question, it's uh... pretty easy! We're in the grass. More specifically, on a small hill. Even more specifically, in a mountainous region. And above all else... on planet Earth... It think."

Not really knowing for sure now that he thought about it, he touches some of the grass around him, then the dirt, "Oh. Yeah, it's definitely Earth!" Well this human wasn't too smart as it seemed, but with his own intelligence and this person's strength, they could make a great combo.

Doug's eyebrows raised in confusion when the other explained he already knew about hands. "Did you hit your head somewhere?" He asked quietly, gently touching it to check if there was any blood. This guy was talking nonsense... He stared at the other before a quiet sigh left his mouth. "Alright, I'm taking you to a hospital." He muttered and pulled the guy up, the difference in their heights quite significant.

"Do you know what a hospital is?" He asked, though he doubted it. This guy didn't even know what clothes were. He must've suffered a head trauma or something like that... He probably had amnesia right now. What was weird was the fact that he couldn't find any wounds on his head.

Frowning, he looks down at his spot on the ground and silently says goodbye to it, sensing that he was not going to left alone... "Well, no, but I... a hospital?" He turns his head sharply to the man, looking like a confused, but curious dog, "What's that? You'll take me there?" This was amazing! He was being invited to a hospital! He didn't know what it was, but he wanted to know more about what was on Earth, it was very beautiful to see it from the hill, being inside it will probably be extraordinary.

"Is a hospital full of other people like you? Are they like you?" He smiles, pulling out one of the long green strands of grass to toy with in his hands, "Are they hairy like you? Are they nice? They have warm layers too? Oh! Do they have..." He leans closer to the man's face and smiles even wider, whispering, this clearing being a sacred thing, "Do they have ice cream?"

Doug was slowly beginning to hope this was some dream. What the hell was up with this guy?.. "Seems like I have to..." He muttered, slowly leading the other towards his bike. The brunet grabbed out a small blanket out of his bag and placed it on the backseat before lifting the other up on it. "You have to hold on tight." He murmured as he sat down as well, looking around for a few moments.

"Yes, a hospital is full of other people too. In some ways, they're like me, in some they're not." He began explaining as he started to drive. "Not all people are hairy like me. In hospitals, people have to be nice most of the time. These warm layers are called clothes, everyone has to wear them at all times. There are different kinds of clothes for different kinds of occasions." Doug was trying to explain everything as well as he could to minimize the stress for this guy when he first entered a hospital. "Ice cream... I don't know if they really have that in hospitals." Only then did he realize that this guy actually knew something from Earth. "Wait, you know what ice cream is? From who?" He asked, slowing down a bit. Did this guy speak to someone already?

Hugging his back extra tight when the machine started to move, the brunet squeezes him as he answers, not really thinking it was as important as a hospital, he loosely entails, "I mean, everyone knows about that. They gave me ice cream a lot... I never get tired of the flavor. The white one is the best..." Laughing, he shakes his head, "Well, it is the only flavor, so I guess that pretty much explains itself! They took care of me for a long time, but I don't remember much about them. I don't remember their faces anymore..." Looking down from the town, he just looks at trees, his smile dimming.

After waking up in the grass on that hill, he didn't remember much of anything actually. There was a big hole he felt in his heart for forgetting, because when he thought of things like ice cream, he felt warm inside. Who he ate it with? The coldness set in. He couldn't even remember his own name, no matter how hard he tried.

Doug just listened quietly, speeding up again as they drove into the city. "Where are you from?" He asked calmly, though honestly he was beginning to freak out a little. Who wouldn't, with a guy like this one. "And what's your name?" He asked, glancing back at the other. Soon enough they drove into the city, where the brunet began searching for a hospital. He knew there was one somewhere...

He managed to find it, at last, where he stopped the bike. The man took off his helmet, looking back at the other. "Come on now." He muttered out and got off the motorcycle, helping the other off as well. He zipped up the jacket, which (thankfully) covered up to his mid-thighs. "They might be able to give you some clothes as well." Doug said with a light smile as he began walking towards the door, expecting for the other to follow. Honestly, what was he going to do if they said he was fine? He couldn't just leave him out here, where he obviously didn't know how to live.

The whole ride, he held on tight and looked around with the satisfaction of having wind blow in his hair and face. He couldn't let his sadness get in the way of exploring this planet, so he had answered the man how he came from the sky and that he didn't remember his name... Those seemed to be important things to remember, because to him, he had suddenly felt like they were going a bit faster.

Never being to a hospital before, he looked up at the stories of the building, glass windows all over. Of course, at this time of day, some of them were light up from the inside and ones that weren't reflected the sky. Thinking it was beautiful, he stared up at it, stopping on the pavement in his bare feet. It was a few seconds before he realized the man had started going inside, "They'll give me clothes? How nice of them!" It all was great, the doors even opened for them too, but actually being inside was a different story. He got chilling vibes of death and illness left and right, so he stopped walking and grabbed the man's arm, "I change my mind, I don't want to go in here."

If he wasn't freaked before, Doug certainly was after hearing the guy's story. He didn't even know what to say but it seemed like the other had some psychological problems, and serious ones at that. The man decided to just stay silent on the subject, but tried to keep the details in mind to later tell them to a doctor if he was asked.

The man was certain that going to a hospital wouldn't be a problem, but... It seemed he was wrong. As his arm was grabbed, Doug's lips parted with a quiet sigh before he tugged the other inside, holding him tightly. "You have to." He muttered out, looking around for a nurse. In just a few moments a woman was next to him, looking at the shorter man. "Sweetie, no one is going to do you any harm." She spoke soothingly, gently taking one of his hands. "Come with me and your friend here can tell me what happened." She smiled softly, not trying to force him... Yet, at least.

Though paling in fear, he doesn't fight against them. He was surrounded and the man he thought was his ally was taking him inside too, others were looking at him oddly, "W-Why... But. People have died here. People here are sick! I'm healthy, I don't have injuries, diseases, parasites and my immune system is at it's highest point!" Mumbling, he stares around, the walls being white and other pale colors, framed pictures making a dull attempt to make it homey, "I'm scared, I can't die yet, I- I just got here."

Looking up at the person who took him here, he shakes his head and whispers, "The floor is so cold. I want to go back to the hill, please... You can have your layer back too if you want..." This wasn't right at all!

Doug held the other gently, his big hands feeling warm. "Calm down, breathe. They're just going to check to make sure everything is fine." He spoke quietly, tossing a glance at the nurse. After the younger one complained about the floor being cold, Doug did the simplest thing - he scooped the brunet into his arms, holding him close to his chest before following the nurse into the examination room.

"Look... I don't know anything about you." Doug muttered as he looked down at the guy in his arms, his expression displaying obvious worry. "But you have to trust me on this one. Okay?" He asked gently, offering him a small but warm smile. He began setting him down on a bed where his head and everything would be examined. "Do you want me to stay here with you?"

Looking around the small room, he turns to look at the nurse, who was dressed in sky blue scrubs. She didn't look like she'd hurt anyone and her eyes were a nice, calm light brown color... After taking some breaths like the man told him to, he then looks at said person, nodding slightly as his eyes went back to look at everything in the room, "Yes please..." He would feel so much better if he had stayed, his trust coming from letting him be carried off the ground in a set of two, big, warm arms. And he was very thankful for that.

Sitting on a hard bed that was covered in a thin layer of paper, the mysterious boy sat there observing carefully what the nurse did, answered her questions on 'Does this hurt? Do you feel pain here?' and took deep breaths when she went to his back with a stethoscope- that cold, cold piece of metal. A small flashlight was put near both his diamond blue eyes and looked into them like he was asked. Not on drugs, no head injuries... there wasn't anything physically wrong with him.

~

"Can you please explain how you found him? Nothing is wrong on the outside so... it most likely is something psychological. I'd like to hear the details." The nurse knew that the brunet was a bit tense the whole examination, so when it was all done, she went into her pocket for a lollipop and held it out for him, "You did very good. Would you like candy?"

Not knowing what in the universe that thing was, he glances at the man and then at the lady, "I don't think I want candy. No thank you."

Doug stayed next to the other throughout the whole checkup, lightly patting his hand from time to time as encouragement. The man seemed to be extremely caring and, well, soft. Like a plushie, he was simply huggable once one got over the way he looked. He exchanged glances with the nurse from time to time, his worry growing inside as she appeared to be clueless. This guy didn't have any family, any friends, what was he even going to do?

Just as Doug was about to explain how he found the other, he refused the candy. "Hey, you should definitely try that. It's good, and just one of the great things on Earth." The man encouraged softly before glancing back at the nurse. "I left home because I recently bought a small apartment here. He was just sitting on a hill, naked, he was staring at the stars. He didn't even understand it was cold, I lent him this jacket.. He told me there were someone that took care of him, but he can't remember their face or name. He also remembers ice cream, if that means anything."

Doug finished with a sigh, glancing worriedly at the other. "Look, if there is something wrong, will he have to stay here?" He asked quietly, lightly running a hand through his hair. "I mean... The owner said there were two bedrooms in the apartment, so I could take him in... Even if just for a bit, I want to make sure he's okay." Doug just was that way, caring for everyone, stranger or friend.

"Then I greatly suggest it," the nurse hesitates, looking at the other male, not wanting to say anything that would alarm him, "Because he probably has some mental trauma and doesn't have any family, he would have to go to the other kind of hospital. We don't have proper services for people in his sort of condition."

The brunet had taken the lollipop and held it curiously, raising it to his nose at the sweet, yet faint aroma. Did the man say it was one of the best things on Earth? That was a very bold statement, but it's not like he knew otherwise. He pawed away at the wrapper with his finger and looked with fascination at the bright red color, it being dull yet shiny, sweet smelling yet solid... It was clearly something amazing! He took it and gave it a very small lick, flavor spreading over his tongue like a wave. Sitting there while the two kept talking, he looked to the man and woman whenever each one of them spoke, listening attentively as he licked the candy. It was pretty good, still not as good as vanilla ice cream, but the man was right!

"We have as much information on him as much as possible right now, since he doesn't seem to remember... It seems like he trusts you enough, so I don't see why not." That was not the only factor at all, the other seemed to be very nice and kind despite his appearance, "For now, how about I just get your information to keep in contact. We can send his information out to see if there are any missing persons and if he manages to give more information, it would be very good of you to remember. I'll come back with a form and I can also give him some clothes, it will just be a quick moment!"

Doug sighed quietly, his gaze saddening as he looked at the younger man. "I understand." He muttered, a small smile spreading across his face when he saw how the guy was enjoying the lollipop. "See? I told you it was good." The brunet said in a gentle manner, lightly patting his hair. The man looked back up at the nurse as she continued to speak, nodding lightly from time to time. "That sounds great, thank you." He smiled warmly, lightly rubbing the younger's back. "I really appreciate your help here... I mean, for being so patient with him." Doug smiled again, looking at the other.

"I told you no one would hurt you here. It seems like we'll be living together for some time now... You said you didn't have a name, but I can't just call you 'hey' or 'you', you know? We can try and think of a name you'd like together." Doug offered before covering a yawn. Gods, he was tired as hell... The journey was long, and this was stressing him out too. All of the tiredness just suddenly sank in and a bed seemed like heaven for the man. He took the other's hand lightly, gently running his thumb over the smooth skin. "I'll show you all of the wonderful things in Earth, okay? There are tons of foods to taste, millions of places to visit... I think you'll like it here."

Looking at the man's thumb over his hand in the gentle gesture, the younger male smiled as he pushed the lollipop to the side of his mouth with his tongue, "I trust you," looking at the other, his smile widens, "I very much do. I was unharmed and I got candy, I'm going to live with you and I'll be trying new things on Earth! I'm sure I'll like this planet... Because I already like you a lot! If everyone is like you, there's not a doubt in my mind that I will enjoy it all. I hope I stay for a long time..." The strange unsettling inside of him only came from feeling like he was left behind by someone, and though he liked this place so far, he wondered when he'll return. Or if he ever will.

"I don't have a name, that's correct," he says as he takes out the lollipop and spins the stick with his hand, the red ball of cherry already half way gone, "But you must, right? I don't think I got what your name is... And 'you', would you like to have this with me?" Blinking several times, he holds it up to the other as a offer, "It's so good!"

Adrian's mood fell a little bit as he listened to the other, his eyes closing for a moment. "Not everyone here is as nice as I am... There are plenty of people who would've left you out there in the cold, plenty would have left you here, plenty would've taken you right home or to some sort of a circus. There are a lot of mean people in this world, not everything is nice and good..." The brunet felt bad for saying all this, but he needed to prepare this guy for the world he was about to experience in all of its glory.

A small smile appeared on his face as he was asked for his name and offered a lollipop. "I'm Adrian. And no, you can eat it by yourself." He said softly, gently brushing hair out of the other's eyes. "Enjoy it, I've taste these before either way." He muttered, lightly rubbing his eyes. The man looked around for the nurse, a quiet sigh leaving his mouth. He wanted to go home and sleep already... This whole day was a mess. His girlfriend left him and now he had some alien boy as a companion. It couldn't get any weirder than this.

"Okay, if you say so, Adrian," smiling and swaying slightly, he closes his eyes and further enjoys his lollipop. He was so excited to be able to live with another human being, it would be so interesting to see how to live on Earth and what cool stuff was here... And he would be spending it with such a nice person. His hands are big yet soft, his touches were small and gentle, and his voice helped him reassure things like fear and doubt. If what he was saying were true, that there were bad people in the world, he was sure that Adrian could protect him, though he thought that as long as the danger wasn't too great, he could handle himself. He wasn't defenseless like a baby.

But like a baby, he needed a name. Wanting to think up of something, he goes silent and his eyes narrow slightly in concentration.

When the nurse returns, she carries a clipboard with a pen and a change of clothes for the younger man to wear, "This is for you," she smiles, handing over the clipboard to Adrian, then she hands over the clothes to the other, "And this is for you. Once you're done, you two can leave." Smiling a bit wider, she looks at the 'patient' and notices how confused he looks with the chance of clothes. Giggling, she sets another lollipop on the bed, a grape flavored one now, "You can have that when you're finished with the one I gave you before. I suppose I can leave you two again so he can get those on and you can fill that out, just your address, name and phone number is necessary. I'll be wait right down the hall on your way back. Is that alright?"

Adrian smiled softly once more, his features softening as he held the other's hand gently. Honestly, living with someone after these events would probably be better to him anyway. If he had to live all alone, who knows what would happen. He would go crazy at some point - Adrian was a man who needed communication to live.

The man's gaze shot up at the nurse when she came back, taking the clipboard with a light nod. "Alright, thank you." He said quietly, and began scribbling down what was needed. The brunet let out a long, quiet sigh as he finished and set the clipboard away, then turned to the other. "Come on, I'll help you get dressed." He said lightly as he took the shirt after removing the jacket from his slim shoulders. "Raise your hands for me." The man asked before gently slipping the shirt on. He smiled, lightly patting his hair. He felt as if he was taking of a child... It was a good feeling, honestly. It would keep him busy.

After dressing the younger man up, Adrian put his own jacket back on and took the clipboard in one hand, with the other pulling the younger one up as well. "As for your name, I suppose something short would be best. Err... Tom, maybe?" He asked as he gave the clipboard back to the nurse and walked out to get on his bike.

((Sorry I took so long, I had a horrible week ;__; ))

( If you'd like, you can talk to me about it :> I wouldn't mind in the least! )

On the way out, the boy was given a smile by the nurse and smiled happy back. So far, everyone he's met was so nice and caring... it made him curious as to how 'bad' someone could possibly get. The mentality of the weak are killed and the fit survive clearly wasn't right, because if it was, he would already be dead in his state of innocence. He was given candy, clothes and a caretaker with a big heart, so it couldn't be that bad at all!

Returning to the bike, feeling far more warmer outside with the clothes, he hears the basic sounding name and shakes his head, grimacing slightly, "No. I want something... I don't know. That name doesn't sound audibly appealing to me, sorry Adrian..." He unwraps the second candy given to him by the nurse and sees it was a different color. Purple! "Ohh!"

The brunet was so amazed by the surprise, he lifted it up to his eyes to get a better look at it, "How is it possible to put color into something edible? It's so pure," humming, he puts it in his mouth again and lights up, "It's so wow!" Looking at the wrapper and looks at the text. He knew they were words, but he didn't quite remember how they were spoken. The word obviously that read 'grape', he saw it as something completely wrong, "Zen... It sounds way more appealing! Zen is good! I'll be Zen then!"

((Thank you so much, but I'm fine ^^ I just needed to rest a little bit... I'll make it :D))

Adrian smiled softly and shook his head, giving the other's hand a small squeeze. "It's alright, you should like your name." He said with a small chuckle. The man's smile softened once more as the younger unwrapped his second lollipop. "They come in all flavors and colors... But you can't live off of sweets alone. You have to eat proper food, too... You know, like meat and vegetables. I'll make sure you eat healthy, okay?" Adrian said with a smile before pressing a gentle, warm kiss to his forehead.

His eyebrows furrowed as the guy announced his new name. "Alright then, Zen." He smiled and lifted the younger up onto his bike before getting on himself. "That's not what's written there, though. The word you read was 'grape'... I guess I'll have to teach you how to read too, mm?" The biker smiled as he put on a helmet on the other's head, then on his own and took off. He drove around the city until he finally found the adress his new house was at.

The man drove into the garage, turning off the engine with a soft sigh. "Well, I bet I'll have to do some shopping too. We won't be staying home a lot for a few days..." Adrian said with a hint of tiredness in his voice. He honestly just wanted to get into a bed and sleep, for as long as possible.
