"Thanks." Koizumi mumbled as he sat down and poured himself some tea. He sipped at the liquid. It was boiling hot but he didn't care, he drank it anyway. The heat was good. It burnt his sin away. He was surprised that the other had tried to cook, it was a nice gesture and he was grateful for it.

He saw the other get up and nearly let him leave but he knew that if Natsume left he would have no other reason to continue living as he was, not after breaking his promise to himself and putting his currently peaceful life in jeprody by letting people find out about him when they had only just forgotten all the stories. No. He needed something to keep his lifestyle sane. To keep him human. The irony.

He put his cup down on the table and faster than the human eye could see he was in front of Natsume and shut the door. So the other couldn't leave. Crouching down in front of the small fox he said softly "please don't leave. I'm sorry. I'm grateful really its just..." He trailed of not sure how to explain the torrent of emotions running through his body at the moment. He averted his eyes so the other couldn't see the pain in them. "You can leave if you want, I'll give you the money and a bonus for the trouble but...please stay with me." He said quietly his voice almost breaking as he stood and opened the door allowing the fox to leave if he wanted. He could look. He didn't want to watch his life fall apart in a single moment. If the other left he didn't know whatbhe would do: stay and fight those who wanted to kill him, or run and hide like he had back then.

Natsume was an idiot, not because of what had just occurred, but because once again he had forgotten that fox do not have opposable thumbs, and while he attempted to leave with pride and honor, here he was, sitting, looking up at the front door and trying to figure out how to open the damn thing. However, before he could come to an conclusion, the other ws directly in front of him, causing him to jump back in surprise at the sudden person in front of him. With his ears perked straight up, he listened to the others words and couldn't help but be happy. He knew he was nothing more than a burden so far for the other, but he also knew that Koizume really wanted him to stay, and he wanted to stay. Even if not just for his self, he was worried about Koizume, the other seemed off, different today, and he was worried as to what would happen to the author if he left.

Walking past the other to the door, he used his head to nudge it back closed. Turning back towards the kitchen, he trotted over to the clothing that was on the floor. Biting the clothes, he dragged them around the corner of another oom so that he could change back into them without flashing the vampire. Once he had them on, he brushed the wrinkles out lightly before nodding at himself. Well, Koizume had said it, he wanted Natsume to stay, so that was exactly what he was going to do. The white haired boy decided that he was going to do whatever he needed to in order to help the author.

The only problem was, he didn't exactly know how. Stepping back into the kitchen, he waited for Koizume, his ears perked up straight. For some reason, he couldn't place, his heart was happy, and it showed. A light laugh left his mouth at the idea of what the two probably looked like, a happy and content fox spirit, with a sorrowful, longing vampire. "I'll stay right here then, but Koizume, I think you need a change. Staying in here by yourself all the time, it can't be good for you." He frowned, hoping the other wouldn't get upset at his words.

Koizumi felt his terror in his stomach as he watched the other head towards the door. The fear inside him caused a visceral reaction so strong he nearly ran to the sink and threw up. Up until that moment he knew he had been confused and uncertain about what to do but he had not realised he was truly afraid. He was vaugly aware that had the other left his guilt would have been so strong he would have handed himself over to whoever it was that wanted to chain him or skin him or whatever it was they disired to do with a vampire.

When the other shut the door however he sighed. Genuinely sighed in relief. Koizumi went back to the table and gluged down his drink needing the caffine boost although he knew that with his now properly functioning metabolism his body would catobalise the caffine faster than it could affect his body. So it would give him no such boost.

He looked at the other when he spoke, now fully dressed. It suddenly occored to him what a mess the male looked. He tried a smile but it was faint and non committal. "Maybe your right." He said though he didn't sound convinced. He moved towards Natsume and said gently, this voice sounding a little better but far from normal, "come with me, let me sort out your wounds, you look far worse than me at the moment." He knew it wasn't his physical nature that was wounded at the moment but he didn't mention it. He didn't want to worry the other with such things.

Natsume was at least glad that the other seemed to be drinking something, he though about asking if the other need any other kind of nutrition, but thought better of the touchy subject. "My wounds?' He repeated, glancing down at himself, forgetting that he washurt at all. Since there was mainly just bruising he wasn't in any pain at all, if he brushed something with his fingers then it would sting a bit, but he still didn't think it was a big deal at all. For now he mainly wanted to focus on helping Koizume, his little cuts and bruises seemed like nothing in compare to whatever was wrong with the vampire. Following after the other, he ran his hands through his hair.

It had been days since he brushed it, so it looked like an extreme bed head. The other always looked so good and well put together, beautiful even, but he felt like he always looked terrible and a mess. He ruffled his hair more, he wanted to look more presentable for the other. He always was letting Koizume take care of him and he hadn't even been there that long. It only fueld his desire to want to help the other even more, he wanted to give Koizume a reason to smile, to really smile.

Following after Koizume, he reached up and lightly brushed the bruise on his cheek, and glanced down at his hands. "The marks really don't hurt at all, there's no need to fix them." He spoke, not wanting to waste the others time.

Koizumi rolled his eyes at the other "I know you don't think you need it but I can smell the damaged veins and I know how to help it. So let me." He said as he lead the way back towards the dressing room, he wanted to find Natsume something proper to wear as well. Opening the door he let the other in and said "sit." Motioning towards the soft couch in the middle of the room. The fabric was a rich red velvet that complemented the redwood of the closet doors beautifully.

Sitting down as well he asked in an almost medical way, almost detached "do you have something on underneath, I need to see how bad the bruising is." He felt a little nervous just smelling the blood but he knew it was stupid, he was a vampire he shouldn't be nervous about blood. It had been like this back then too, though back then he had almost developed a phobia and hadn't drunk blood for a week, he nearly died because of it. If Natsume was now staying with him then he wouldn't let something like that happen again. But he would rather not have the constant strong smell of this males blood which, no matter how hard he tried to deny it, smelt sdimply divine. So he had to try and reduce the time the bruising would take to heal.

Natsume felt the urge to cross his arms defiantly, but didn't want to look like a child sohe kept his hands firmly by his side. Though he understood that Koizume was just trying to help him, he was going to use this time to plot an idea for how to cheer the other up a bit. He followed obiediently after the other, and went to the couch that was indicated to him. Sitting down, he used the time to take in his surroundings. Just like every room in the house, this one was beautiful and stylish in a classy manor yet somehow it gave off a lonley feeling with it. He brought his attention back towards the other and watched as Koizume took his seat across from Natsume.

It took him a few moments to properly grasp what the other was asking him, but he couldn't help but flush a bit when he did. "Ah, yes I have on under wear but that's it sincenothing really fits with my tail over here."Standing back up, he carefully removed the shirt he had on and folded it, setting it on the couch beside him. For the most part, his skin was extremely pale, and flawless in marks, besides the heavy few bruises that now sported his skin. Taking a step closer to the vampire, he held his arms out a bit so that Koizume could get a full look at any wounds. Despite his calm disposition, he couldn't bring himself to look at the other, his left ear twitched with something akin to embarressment, though he wasn't exactly shy so it made little since why he found himself feeling like this now.

Koizumi carefully inspected the others bruises. He could feel the awkwardness from the other so he kept his movements only to the necessary in order not startle Natsume and make him more embaressed. He was surprised at how pale the males skin was, he thought foreigners would have darker skin because of the sun but he guessed he was wrong. That could have stored being true a long time ago. These days there wasn't ashtrays a reason to be out in the sun so he guessed such assumptions could no longer be made. Still, the others skin was very beautiful even with the harsh purple bruises.

Koizumi gently sat the other down "relax" he said as he pressed his cold fingers to the worst of the bruises for a moment before he gently rubbed the surrounding area with the tips of his fingers. It would stimulate the blood and encourage the healing process.

He continued this on the worst of the bruises before he removed his hands and said softly "you bed some proper clothes now, I can't bere for you to be wearing such unflattering things." He wanted to make himself feel like things were normal and the more the other dressed normally the best it would be. Koizumi picked up a comb from inside a chest, the crest had a small mirror on top so one could inspect ones self. He handed it to Natsume before walking to the closet and opening it. The clothes here weren't as expensive as the others but he thought that might make the male feel a little better about wearing them. "Pick what you want.' He said leaving it open for the male.

Natsume, ease back onto the couch and watched the others fingers carefully, the other was a brilliant author, he could cook beautifully, he had the kind of style even stylists dream of, and he was good medically. He certainly was something special, a rare sight, and that was not even counting the fact that he as a vampire. He winced slightly as hefelt the smooth, chilled fingers press to his skin, he didn't even notice how warm he was until he felt the cool contrast against it. His ears went back slightly , taking a moment he let himself adjust to it, and it went from painful, to just a light pressure that even began to feel good. He brought his gaze up while the other continued to work, and found himself almost in a trance.

The others long eye lashes were casting soft shadows down his face, his lips were pursed as he concentrated on the fox. His hair from this close looked even softer if that seemed possible, and a soft scent seemed to hang in the air around him. He couldn't help but wonder what it was like to be such a beautiful creature, Koizume could probably get anything he wanted, so why was he so sad?

It seemed wrong somehow, for someone so beautiful inside and out to be so unhappy. He nodded when he was given further instruction. Taking the come, he began to comb out the tangles in his hair, after raking at it for a good five minutes, he finally sighed contently once his hair was once again light and soft like it wa supposed to be. Making his way over to the closet, he pulled out a pair of white pants, and a nice, white shirt. It wasn't fancy like the things Koizume wore, but it was soft and the all white seemed to match him perfectly. Pulling the clothing on, he looked to Koizume and smiled, "How do I look?" He asked.

Koizumi sat and just watched as the other worked the tangles from his hair. He enjoyed being in this man's company for some reason and he didn't want to let that go. He watched as slowly the male began to tidy himself up, even the simple act of brushing his hair made him appear so lovely and care free. He wished he could that.

When the other put on the clothes koizumi looked up "they look excellent on you." He said before standing and walking over to Natsume. He reached up towards the lovely white hair and moved a couple of stands that were out of place. "There, you look fit to be royalty." He surprised himself even that he actually believed his own words.

Ashton smiled wide, a bit surprised at the others comment but he certainly welcomed it. He felt much lighter, not justbecause his hair was done and he had nice simple clothing on, but because of Koizume's compliment. Looking over into the mirror, he turned slightly and looked over his shoulder so he could see himself completely, once again in awe. He'd nevr really had many nice clothes, he didn't really need them. But now, his bright white hair framed his face nicely, the white clothing made his skin almost illuminate, and made the blue accents of his eyes and ear tips stand out beautifully.

"I think we both know my kind aren't exactly the 'royalty' kind." He laughed, and he meant what he said. Fox spirits were thought to be playful, if anything a bit mischievious, but certainly not a species to be taken very seriously. Most of the time, they were used as pets , or servants. In the large ambassadors palace, the place where species from all over met yearly to discuss political issues, all the fox spirits did was serve the tea. Smiling, he made his way back over to Koizume and looked over at him, his ears tweaking slightly. "What did you want to do then? In your free time, how do you keep from feeling lonely out here?" The white haired boy asked, glancing around the room. "Ah, and thank you. For saving me and helping me all the time, and just giving me this opportunity. " Turning towards the other, he wrapped his arms around the other and hugged him lightly, not wanting to over tsteo himself to much.

Koizumi smiled, it was only small and never reached his eyes but it was something. He liked talking to this male. Normally he couldn't stand to talk to people, they were to annoying and uneducated with bad grammer and opinions that they couldn't back up. But somehow talking with Natsume was different, he wasn't trying to make a point, or prove he was something he wasn't. He didn't have aweful grammer and you could tell the mistakes he did make were purely accidental rather than plain stupid. For these reasons and others he actually enjoyed having the fox spirit for company and therefore genuinky considered the others question. Though he still came back with only one answer.

"I read and I write." Even he had to roll his eyes at himself that was so lame. "I basically have no life!" He said smiling again, though again it never reached his eyes. Truth be told he loved his job, he could run away from the world of the living to where ever the hell he wanted. He could soar the skies on guilded wings or surf the oceans on a thin piece of wood. He could laugh or cry and none of it would matter because if it got too I tense he could shut the book, put down his pen, and walk away. He wished life was that simple.

Natsume leaned back on his heels, thinking about what he could do to cheer the other up that he would actually enjoy. Glancing outside, he noted that while it wasn't sunny, it was clearly day time, and there seemed to be a lull in the falling snow. He went over to the window to get a better look outside and glanced around, before turning to the other and speaking. "Well, it doesn't exactly seem like your style, but have you ever built a snow man? You put one ball of snow ontop of another ontop of another then decorate it. As long as you have some thick gloves we could make one, they used to do it a lot hundreds of years ago but that was before people stopped really going outside much."

Even as he spoke, he felt a bit silly. There had been a large burst in the tech era, and people spent all there time inside because they no longer needed the out doors for enjoyment, and it seemed easier just staying inside. He had never actually built one himself, having never seen snow before he really did not have the opportinuty. It didn't seem like something a big scary vampire might do, but he desperately wanted to try anything he could do to help Koizume to try new things. He didn't even want to think about how long the other had just been couped up in this house, all by himself. It might have had something to do with his species, fox were delicate creatures, who often would die of loneliness or sadness. Which was why now if you wanted to have one as a pet in another country you had to be licensed for it.

Koizumi looked up. It was really cold outside and he still wasn't convinced that he hadn't been followed back even though he knew such a thing was impossible, when he had just drunk his reactions and reflexes were faster than any human or animal could hope to compare to. Still. Taking a deep breath he tucked his doubts and fears deep inside himself so he wouldn't have to think about them and he stood. "Sure, why now?" He said, figuring that the other was right and he needed to do something.

He opened another of the sliding doors and pulled out two thick coats and two sets of gloves handing a coat and gloves to the other he said "Don't get cold. It would be....inconvenient." He was worried about the fox, but showing that would show that he cared and that would be allowing himself to be vulnerable. He had been reminded of why he didn't want that last night. Pulling on the coat Koizumi walked towards the door assuming that Natsume would follow.

Natsume's ears twitched when the other agreed to it, and his shoulder slumped a bit in relief. Right, all he needed to do was cheer up the other, though he really did not know how to go about it. Pulling on the thick coat, he glanced himself over to make sure it compleltely covered him, and with it's enormous size of course it did. Then he pulled on the gloves, and made sure his tail was warmly stucked up into the coat with him. Only once he made sure that the air couldn't penetrate his fortress of warmth that the articles had provided for him, did he head towards the door the other opened. Bounding out into the snow, he chose to jump into the first large pile he saw, which was basically right beside him with all the damned snow in this country.

"Alright, now you start like this." Reaching down, he pulled up a ball of the white fluff, and molded it in his hands a bit until it was perfectly round. Then he just stared at it for a moment, before bursting out lauging, the snow ball falling from his hands as he continued to laugh, holding his side at the stitch that soon formed. "Y-you know," He tried to speak, but laughter kept interupting him "I thought this was a great idea but I can't remember how they did it. I've never played with snow before, so I can't help much." Only after he managed to sober himself up, did he continue on his mission. Picking up a new ball of snow, he walked over to Koizume and handed it to him before turning around and making a ball of his own. "I think snow is similar to sand, you just roll it around and more it if will stick to it, so we can start doing that and make the bases?" He concluded finally, still slightly laughing at the fact that he couldn't even rememebr something he was so gung ho about in the first place.

As the other stood there in thee snow failing miserably at building a snowman and laughing over his pathetic attempts Koizumi couldn't help the smile that was brought to his lips and getting lost in the others laughter he forgot about what he had done, forgot about his sin and he forgot about his broken promise. Crouching down he pulled the sand into an area with his hands before picking up the soft white snow and compacting it into a ball within his hands. It wasn't easy for him, after all vampires didn't have the same high temperature that humans did but even so his skin was warmer than the snow and though it took longer he managed to compact it into a firm round ball. Grinning he looked at the other. The look on his face foretold the mischief in his voice even before he spoke but his voice was warm again and the tones told so obviously of what he was about to do "Like this? Though I also read that you could do this with snow before you make the snowman out of it..." He threw the ball at the other so fast it would have taken another vampire to avoid it. It hit the other square in the chest and Koizumi burst into laughter enjoying his victory and how perfectly he had judged that shot to land straight in the middle of the others chest.

It occured to him that although he had read about these things he had never actually been out into the snow and enjoyed it for what it was, normally he left the house only when he needed to and when he did he walked out, into the garage, got in his car went to where he needed to and came home. Never spending any longer than he needed to outside whether it was to enjoy the weather, the view or to chat with someone. He never stopped outside his house. Just went and came back. This was nice.

Natsume glanced over his shoulder at the other, the ball in his hand was slowly getting larger as he began the long process of compacting it into the base or head. His eyes widened slightly and before he knew it he fell backwards on the ground, with a loud oof and thud ensuing. He landed back in the snow, and the impact caused a nearby tree trunk to shake slightly. A branch that was over his head shook and the snow ontop shook free and fell onto hi in a heavy powder, practically covering the small fox. He popped his head out and let out a laugh, however his laugh caught in his throat at the site that he saw. There, the beautiful, yet sorrowful vampire that he was quickly coming to know, was laughing. Not just a chuckle either, but he was really laughing. This was it, the sight that he wanted to see, it was truly extraordinary. He didn't want to let it end, climbing out of the snow horde he was barried in, he grabbed a snow ball of his own and used the moment where the other was distracted with his laughing, to throw a snow ball of his own at Koizume. Even at this distance though, he managed to miss, and watched as the snow ball brushed passed the others ear. His eye widened slightly and he just burst out into more laugher at his own lack of aim.

"Wait wait I need a fort! Don't harm me, i'm just a poor fox!" He spoke, laughing hard as he jumped behind a nearby snow bank. His ears twitches excitedly as he gathered up anothr ball and prepared to throw it. He didn't know when the last time was that he felt so happy and free, nto evne the cold could get to him right now.

Koizumi was laughing so hard he never noticed the odd look the little fox spirit gave him. The sight of the other buried under a pile of snow beneath the tree was too much for him. The malle looked so cute with the snow piled up around his twitching ears and the shocked look on his face as he fell backwards. Koizumi found it incredibly endearing and funny.

He was still laughing even as the other threw the snowball at him but the male was such a bad shot it missed him by a country mile. Ceasing his laughter he winked at Natsume and croutxhed to create another snow ball confident enough that the other would either be too busy hiding behind his fort and making it bigger or was simply too much of a bad shot to actually hit him. That assumption was wrong.

Koizumi felt the this against his arm before he even saw the snow let alone had time to move out of the way. He looked up with a fake glare that he was trying hard not to laugh through as he said 'youll pay for that my sneaky little friend." And I'm one quick and elegant motion he swept his arm back and threw the next snowball towards Natsume.

Natsume held up his arms in a victory V when he saw that his next snowball made contact. Silently he cheered for himself and brilliant aim, acting like he never even through the first one and he was just that good of a shot. He gathered another ball and prepared to throw it at the other, but before he could, the snowball that Koizume through hit him dead center and knocked him off balance. Picking up another ball, he aimed for the vampire, and threw it.

He didn't know so much time had passed, until he noticed the sun already preparing to go down. Had they really spent the entire day in the snow? Well, he certainly did feel like it, he felt completely worn out, and was soaked to the bone from all the snow throwing, but still. Giving another glance at Koizume, he knew that it was worth it, he had made the other smile, really smile. Jumping behind his fort that he had managed to build up throughout the day, he held up a hand and called out. "Cease Fire! I surrender!" However, he didn't pop back up yet, picking up a ball of snow, he began to shape it and mold it, until it resembled a mouse. Giving it two rocks for eyes, and and a tiny twig for a tail, he emerged from his fort. Carefully making his way over towards the vampire, he held out the small snow mouse. "Here, a peace offering. See, I can make things too." He laughed, smiling over at Koizume, but it wasn't a bit, bright smile. It was soft, and warm, filled with all the kindness that he had. Before Koizume, stood a simple fox spirit, hair as white as the snow around him, bundled to the brim in warm coats, his cheeks red from the cold, and the warmest smile on his face, looking directly up at the vampire, and not saying a word.

Koizumi held his fire when the other called for a cease fire. He half considered throwing the snowball in his hand when the other stood again but he reconsidered, they were both tired now..well, Natsume was tired, he was still full of energy but that was just his vampire body kicking in. He threw the snowball careful to aim it so that it flew straight past the fox spirit and his the tree behind him with a soft thump. He smiled genuinely happy. He was so glad he had Natsume there with him. Walking over to the other he took the little mouse and smiled gently, at peace as he pushed the hair back from the others pink face feeling the chill in his cheeks and the softness of his hair. He looked really lovely against the white of the snow and the tree behind him. So pure and innocent. Truly beautiful. "Thank you." He said softly his voice barely audible as the snow began to fall around them again in light patterings that sprinkled Koizumi's black hair in white and made Natsume's hair sparkle in the light.

Koizumi was about to turn and go back inside but in that moment he realised that he didn't really want to. He let his hand trail down the others cheek and took his hand as the snow rabbit began to melt in his other hand from his warmth. He felt like he could feel the heat from the others fingers seeping into his own and warming him up as he squeezed those fingers gently with his own.

Natsume felt slight sense of satisfaction that the other seemed to like the frozen mouse, watching as Koizume looked it over as well. A light gust of wind caused his hair to shift to the side, just before he felt the feathered touch of Koizume's fingertips brushing it out of his face. No matter how you looked as it, it seemed hard to believe the other was a supposed 'vampire' at all. Sure, he had the beautifully elegant features, and the mysterious, shadowy disposition, but his voice was kind and soft as were his eyes even if they were sorrowful. The others touch was always gentle, when Koizume had saved him yesterday and picked him up out of the snow, he remembered a sense of security, and even belonging in the others arms against his chest.

He remained still and unmoving as he felt the others finger tips trailing his face. His lips parted and his gaze began to drift over the vampire, wanting to take everything in. He had no idea if he was ever going to get sent home, but if he ever had to leave, he wanted to make sure that this moment right here was one that would stick with him forever. A pang of something else hit him, almost akin to anger. Koizume was decidedly the kindess, softest person he had ever met. So why the other was so alone before, he just could not fathom. Koizume deserved to have beautiful friends and a large, warm family. To Natsume, the other truley did deserve the world.

"Are you cold? Here," The white haired boy asked, taking Koizume's hands into his and bringing them to his mouth. Rubbing his hands over the vampires to create a bit of warming friction, he then blew warm air onto the pale fingers. His ears twitching slightly as he focused on making sure the vampire's fingers were getting toasty and warm.

Koizumi felt at peace as he looked at the other knowing that the male was looking back at him with an emsotion that wasn't hatred or disgust. He let the going man warm his fingers with his own but his blood ran cold at those words. Colder than it had ever run. He froze. His hands were manipulated by the other as his mind flashed back into the past. He tried to stop it. He tried so hard but it was too sudden. He hadn't expected it. Hadn't expected to hear those words again.

The images flashed. He saw himself as if from another persons eyes. Him laying sleeping. She stood over him. Leaning down the women kissed his sleeping lips. Koizumi wanted to scream, scream at her to stop, scream at himself not to let her. But his voice made no sound. He nearly felt the sweet kiss. Then it was gone, now was the time she let him bite her. Her warm blood filling his mouth. Her gentle gasps of almost pelasure as he tried to make it feel good for her. Then suddenly he saw it. The glint of metal. The pain in her eyes. The hatred. She lashed at him. He screamed at himself to run but no sound came out. The blade sank. Even now he could feel it. "Are you cold...here?" She asked the malice in her voice penetrating the air as she tpuch Ed his heart.

Koizumi gasped and ynked away from the other all his pain and sorrow returning. He had bitten that man as he had bitten her and now it would haunt him and they would come for him. They would come for Natsume and they would kill them both. Koizumi turned and a tear fell down his cheek as he felt that pain again and he felt the torment of betrayal. His heart was hammering, fast for a human let alone vampire. He gasped for breath as he realised what he had done and what he had exposed the other too. He realised what he had nearly felt and he made him sick. He wanted to feel that again but nothing in the world could make him feel it. Not if he didn't let it.

Natsume felt like he was floating on air, taking the other in in his entirety. His lips parted as he leaned forward slightly, getting ready to ask the other a question, however before he could he noticed a strange change in the vampire. He went from soft, subtle and gentle, to an expression of absolute terror. "Koizume?" He asked, his voice raising an octive out of worry for the other. Glancing around, he looked for any signs of anything that might have scared the other, but everything still looked the same as it had before. Although the sun was quickly going down, casting a dark shadow over there surroundings.

He stumbled forward when the other yanked away from him, causing him to stumble into the snow. Pushing himself back up he looked over at the other, his face holding all the confusion that he had. The young fox watched as the other turned his back to him, standing back up he tried to make his way in front of the vampire. "Koizume? Koizume, what is wrong? Did something happen? You suddenluy just freaked out, did I say something?"He asked, his ears still perked up. If he had done something to upset the raven haired male he wanted to know so he could fix it. Things had been so calm and nice a few moments ago, he did not want to ruin it. However the notion of that vanished when he realized how truely upset the other was. Standing in front of the vampire once again, he held hands up in a calming manor, "Just relax." He murmured, bending down, e picked up some more snow and once again molded it, only this time it was into a bunny. Holding it up towards Koizume he spoke, "Look, you can even make rabbits with it. It reminds me a lot of the sand from the beached from where I am from. " Natsume tried to ge the others attention in order to distract him from whatever it was that had spooked him

Koizumi couldn't focus on the male in front of him. He tried to block the memories, to lock them away again. Never let them out. He thought he had himself under control before now. But what if this was the same. What if history did as people said, what if it did repeat? He didn't want to go through that pain. Not again. Please not again.

He drew a shuddering breath and pushed away from the other in front of him. "If you hate me say, you can leave. I said I would give you money. Please just leave if you want...I can't... I can't, not again.. Please..." He shivered but not from the cold, he could still feel that knife in his chest but that didn't hurt as much as the betray nor a much as the months that followed, the years that followed. They hunted him. They tried to catch him, kill him. They never managed. But they nearly did and every time it hurt even more. She did that to him.

Natsume's heart was racing, his ears flicking continuously in confusion. He attempted to step closer to the vampre, only to have koizume pull away from him, his ears lowering slightly. His tail slipped out from under his jacket as he considered taking another step towards Koizume, but decided against it, not wanting to frighten the larger male. "Koizume, please. I ouldn't hate you, you are probably the nicest person I have ever met. You make sure i'm alright and make my well being a priority. You try really hard just to make sure i'm comfortable, and I have a lot of fun with you. I do not want to leave."

He added, giving up and stepping closer to the vampire. Walking back around the other, he reached up carefully, like petting a wild animal, and wiped away the wet stain that the tear had left of the raven haired males cheek. He found himself wanting to see the smile again, the same one from a moment ago. The one that highlighted the others face and made him look like he could be a god with all of it's beauty. Even if he only got to see it for a moment before, he knew it was an expression that he wanted to strive for. Putting his hands on either side of the vampires face, he tilted theo thers face slightly so that he knew Koizume was looking at him. "I am not going anywhere unless you yourself decide that you are done with me, okay? You have to trust me on that." He finished, his ears twitching slightly.

Koizumi couldn't accept anything that was said to him. He was convinced the past would repeat itself. Good things never happen in this barran world. It was only when he felt the warm hands on his cheeks that reality slowly began to focus. These hands were warm. They were gentle. Not delicate like hers but they were caring, strong fingers. He looked up and finally saw the face in front of him. "Natsume." He whispered his hand reaching up and touching the others. This was Natsume. He wasn't like that. Natsume stayed by his side. It wasn't his fault. None of this was his fault. He should have been more careful, more aware.

Drawing a deep breath koizumi nodded. "Thank you." He said, his voice still shaking a little. He was cold. Very cold.

Standing he looked towards the house. "I'm sorry. I'm a mess." He couldn't look Natsume in the eyes right now. So he just stood looking at the house thinking about how cold he was. Finally he decided he had to take some decisive action. "I'm cold." He said and started towards the house. He wanted a bath to warm him. He hoped it would help.

When he shut the back door behind them he locked it before double checking it had locked. Turning to the other he asked "will you come bathe with me?" He didn't want to be alone and he wanted to explain himself somehow. He at least wanted to try.
