Jun sighed heavily as he walked on the campus. The cold air just a little too much for him today. He couldn't get any sleep this whole week because his professors decided to collaborate and make his life a living hell. And to make it even more tiresome, a lot more wannabe villains are popping up out of nowhere. Wanting to challenge the newbie hero. He turned the music up higher on his phone, wanting to completely block out every outside noise. Who see, when he says hero, he means a actual one. Superpowers, secret identity and all.

He didn't know he had said powers until he left home. 'Self discovery' was what his mom called it. He was walking through a not so safe neighborhood when he say some thug pointing a gun at an old lady. Intending to shoot. When he jumped in front of the bullet to save her, well, his powers weren't very subtle on showing. A light blue aura appeared around him, taking a shape of some type of body. Protecting him and the elderly woman.

The thug, fainted from such a sight. And the lady, though shaken up from the gun being pointed at her and a guy with weird powers saving her, expressed her thanks.

And now here he was, walking the campus with two lives to live. Having to hide how he looks in his normal life instead of his superhero one. And all he askes, is that the bad guys just tone it down a bit so he can study for his examines and finish his essay. He has a life just like they do! Was this too much to ask? Hearing people gasping inside a nearby bar, pointing at the t.v with looks of horror told him it was. Great. Jun looked into the window to see a giant robot terrorizing downtown. Why was it always downtown now? It was at least a good twenty minutes away! Cursing loudly, he ran in that direction.

Jun Soma, struggle college student, newbie superhero who just wants to take a damn nap. Maybe even retire early just to do so. Which is wrong, to some extent.

Toshihiro sighed to himself, leaning back in his chair he ran a hand through his hair. Reaching up and pulling the glasses off of his face, he set them down on the table and groaned in frustration. He just needed one thing, just one record breaking article and then he would be set. Just something he could show his father, as childish as it may seem, he wanted nothing more than to visit his fathers place and see the a newspaper he was features in hanging up by a magnet. Was it really to much to ask, to be able to catch just one measly little record breaking event that could really get his career going?

Pushing himself up from his desk, he rubbed his tired eyes before making his way over to the coffee machine. Passing the rest of his clearly worn out and stressed to the max co workers. Though he was pressured to figure something out, at least he didn't have so many harsh dead lines, he felt like if he ever got a real job here the stress was going to give him some serious wrinkles.

Waiting for his coffee to fill up, he heard a gasp and then a scream and before he knew it, the entire building was shaking violently, a loud crackly sounding. He fell back to the ground just as cold air smacked him in the face. Wait, cold air? Pushing himself up from the ground, he looked over to where the side of the tall office building was, only something was missing, the wall. His eyes went wide as he found himself looking up at a the huge robot. Those who had gathered there wits about them, where already running in the opposite direction trying to make it to the stairs to run down. People where pushing and screaming. However, not the young intern. Camera, he needed his camera!

Pushing himself up from the ground, he he tried to ran over to his desk which was still instact, but before he could a large, metal hand wrapped around him and yanked him up. Completely forgetting about the camera, he struggled in it's grip, now looking around for someone, anyone, to help him. I don't want to die.

Jun was running down the street, going the opposite direction then everyone else. His outfit completely changed. He wore leather jeans, a stripped white and black shirt with a leather jacket. His once short blonde hair now completely stark white and reaching his collarbone. His black goggles in place, considering he couldn't really find a regular mask. Plus, he just put this outfit together at a short notice. And there was no way he was going to wear spandex. Just, no. Those things were just too tight fitting for his taste. He finally got to where the robot was, skidding to a halt. Well he wasn't expecting this thing to be that big. It was half the size of the building it was destroying! Speaking of which, he saw the thing grab someone out of the destroyed place. Oh great, a damsel in distress.

He hated bullies. Narrowing his eyes, his psionic blue exoskeleton appeared around him. Now being the same height as the giant robot. He sprinted, hitting the robot with all his force. Causing it to release the guy it was holding. He stepped back, catching the guy in his giant blue gigantic hands. Gingerly setting him down in a nearby alley before running back to the metal monster. Who was now starting to get up. Winding his fist back, he punched it on what he assumed was its face.

Making it stumble backwards. But Jun didn't stop there, making the exoskeleton form swords, he sliced at the robot. Cutting off its arm, then slicing off a leg. The robot fell back, trying it's best to get up. He started to pant heavily. Despite having such awesome powers, if he uses them too much it drains him of energy. But the thing wasn't,figuratively speaking , dead yet. Stepping over it, he sliced the head off. His exoskeleton disappeared. Making step back on the ground. He leaned over and set his arms on his knees, breathing heavily. He didn't know being a hero was a workout!

Hearing mumbling behind him, Jun turned around to see people slowly gathering around. Crap, he had to keep his composure! He coughed a few times before he straightened his back, moving his bangs back with a soft huff. Giving the crowd a soft smile. He honestly didn't know what to say. Should he say some corny catchphrase? No, to cliche in his opinion.

Toshihiro was mortified of this huge machine, but he was even more afraid of falling and cracking his head open, so he held onto the hand as tightly as it was holding onto him. Looking up at the huge monstrosity, he couldn't help think how amazing the shots would be right now. He could get such amazing angles right now, just imagine, this could really put him out there. However ,his attention was brought back down to reality by a roar of shrieks of excitement and terror behind him. Straining slightly to see, his jaw dropped as he watched another, just as large figure running towards him. Well, the robot of course but subsequently the black haired boy as well. Almost immedietely he recongnized the other, there were rumors of an interesting new super hero that had recently reared his head, Toshi had originally caught him chasing a robber, and had tried to follow him to get an interview but had lost the other in traffic. He needed that interview, it was almost like he had completely forgotten his current dire situation as he focused on all the questions he could as!

However he didn't get very far in creating the mental list, because he was the hero rush forward. "Wait wait wait! Are you insane! St-!" He yelled out, he was in this things hand if anything happened he could easily be smashed and that was certainly going to put a damper on his future career. Before he could finish screaming at the other he was in the air, the wind rushing in his ears, he couldn't hear the screaming, the robot the alarms, nothing but the loud wind. However, before the ground even came into his view, the wind stopped.

He hadn't even realized he had closed his eyes, so all he knew was that he landed on something very soft and warm. Cautiously he opened his eyes to see what he had landed on and why he wasn't dead and his jaw dropped yet again. In yet another hand, he was now looking up at the hero. "Wait, I need to speak with you!" He called out, once again forgetting the seriousness of the situation, only focusing on the interview that he felt like would make him big. But the man either couldn't hear him or didn't care, both would certainly be understandable. Letting out a sound of protest as he felt the hard ground once again between his feet as he realized he was now being set down. Despite how nice it was to once again be on solid land, he needed to talk with that damn guy!

He watched the large figure once again take off towards the robot, reaching into his back pocket that he know had access to, he pulled out his minin note book and pen that were attatched there while running back out of the alley. Prepared to scribble down anything he could use.

-Blue layer, seems to be a protection

-Ability to change size

-Extremely Strong

-Well built

Were all the different things he wrote, trying to draw from anything he could. Toshi couldn't help but wrinkle his nose is disgust when the things headfell back and rolled a bit before hitting a car which caused it to stop. Pushing his way through the crowd, Toshihiro ran forward, cupped his hands over his mouth and yelled out as loud as he could to the man who had just saved his life. "Name! What is your name!"

Jun looked over when someone yelled at him. Oh, it was the guy he saved. He thought for a moment when he was asked for a name. What was he his superhero name? He knew he forgot something. Running his fingers through his hair, he spoke in a clear baritone voice: "Well, I would say you can call me whatever you like, but that's a little cliche. So call me Shield Mr. Damsel in distress." The crowd around him let out excited murmurs, he looked over at a nearby building to see he was going to be late for his lecture. Again!

Letting out a huff of annoyance, he smiled at the crowd. Giving them a somewhat lazy salute. "Sorry to get rid of the robot and run. But i have some things to attend to," he said before jogging off. Taking a short cut through a nearby alleyway. Leaning against a brick wall and cursing softly. His professor was going to kill him. And his death was going to be a slow and painful when, he was sure the old man had some type of torture devices in his office. Those being boring videos on a life of a cell that lasts at least four hours. Rubbing at his face, he began to walk the rest of the way back to the campus instead of running. He did enough of that on his way to the fight! But it had him thinking.

What was the robot doing in the city to begin with? And why attack that old office building? Was the person controlling it have some kind of grudge against news reporters? God this was confusing, but he chose this profession. And he was willing to take such responsibility. Though he wasn't going to go back to the campus just to get lectured. Again.

But being a struggling college student with a double life wasn't all fun. He was still bored, in his regular life. Considering he has no friends or love interest. The reason being, is that he didn't want his responsibilities to hurt someone and his insecurities are in the way. Jun is, well, he's gat. In the closest really. And he's scared. That's why he left home, hoping it was in fact a phase. But, it wasn't.

Now he's a college student struggling between his personal life, his superhero one, and the fact he's gay. Maybe he should go rest on a park bench.

Toshihiro had his note book ready and quickly scribbled down every word that the hero said, his eyes were wide and full of hope. This was it, it was his chance! However, he couldn't help but wince at the word damsel, it felt so imasculine, then again, he had just been picked up by a huge robot and waved around like a rag doll. The moment Shield began to run, Toshihiro took off after him, yelling out. "Wait! Wait, let me get an interview!" Though he only made it a few yards before falling flat on his face as pain shot up his leg, he must have twisted his ankle in all the choas. By the time he looked back up, the hero was gone, and once again his dreams where crushed.

Sighing to himself, he sat back, holding up the small note book in his hand and reading what he managed to write down. Even though little was on the paper, it still brought a huge smile to his face. He was going to find that hero, shield, and he was going to get an interview if it was the last thing he did. "Toshi! Oh my god, Toshi are you alright!" A voice called out, glancing over his shoulder he saw his best friends Maria and Ryan running towards him, both seemed wide eyed and pale faced. Ryan stopped in front of him adn knelt down, looking the smaller boy in the face before speaking. "You alright? What the hell Toshi, why would you not run? That was clearly the stupidest thing you have ever done." The blonde boy known as Ryan continued to scold him as Maria was to busy fluttering around him, making sure he was alright.

It took him a while to get the two off his back, but after much discussion, much yelling and a few bandages they had finally let him out of there death grip. " I swear, those two would be great parents, probably suffocate there kid with there over protectiveness." Grumbling softly, he continued to walk. His ankle was sore but he would live. But his car keys had managed to get lost when there building was practically smashed through, so he was stuck walking home.

"Well, I needed a vacation anyway." He continued to mumble to himself, the office was obviously going to be closed for some time so they were all given two weeks vacation while the higher ups found a secondary location for the employees. It would take months to get the building repared to the point where it would be safe to walk around in again. Running a hand through his hair he sighed to himself as he winced at his foot which was once again begining to bother him a bit.

Making his way over to a nearby bench, he plopped right down on it and let his head fall back as he let out a relieved sigh and spoke. "My god, what a day this turned out to be." His hand tightend around the small notebook that he refused to set down since the incident.

He didn't care if he did have superpowers. He was not going to face the wrath of his professor again. Even if his life depended on it. The old man was sure to have his head on a silver platter. Weirdly enough, it was always his class the student so happens to always be late in. It's like the bad guys all had a certain time they could terrorize the city, knowing it would effect the hero's grade in that class. Seems too coincidental to him. But he wasn't going to interrupt his devil of a professor and get himself killed just because his justice instincts was tingling. He preferred life, thank you very much.

Jun was up in the old tree above the park bench. Just in case some 'fans' tried looking for him. He didn't mind them of course, it was just the ones that go overboard that made him cautious. And disturbed beyond belief. But hey, he has a fan club. And that always boosts his ego. Yes, it's a small one, but a fan club no less. He was leaning against the tree when he saw someone come and sit down on the bench. Wasn't that the damsel that was carried around like a toy that he saved? Shouldn't the guy be somewhere resting, or in a hospital for a check up? He was planning on staying quiet and let the guy rest, but he couldn't help but let out a soft chuckle. "Couldn't agree more," he said, looking down at the guy he saved.

Hm, he wasn't bad looking. To be honest, he was a cutie. Though he didn't run when the robot came, which will forever confuse the hero. Shouldn't he be the one not to run? This guy was really brave, stupidly courageous. Swinging his legs to one side, he hanged upside down from the tree branch. Smiling at the dark haird male in greeting. "How are you doing, damsel?" He folded his arms behind his head, swinging without a care in the world. The hero looked like a big kid the way he was hanging from the tree. White hair everywhere but his goggles were still in place over his eyes. Shirt ridding up just a little.

Jun took in the guy's appearance, seeing tge bandages on his body. So maybe he did go to the hospital to get a check up real quick. Must've been a real fast check up. "Did you get hurt?" He asked, just a little worried about the damsel's safety. He hoped the robot didn't crushed the guy to the point he got some bruised ribs. But it will also be surprising if he didn't. The giant metal monster did have a mission to destroy. Though how far was it willing to go?

Again, right now isn't the time to investigate everything that happens in the city. But a giant robot? Really? Are villains so lazy now that they make robots to do their dirty work? Sad, really. Makes the game less fun for him. However he guesses it was safer, to some weird extent. But this city seems to always have weird things happen here.

Toshihiro had not noticed the other man at all, so when he heard a voice out of no where he jumped slightly. Sitting up straight he looked to the bench beside him and found no one, then glanced all around him to see who could have spoken. Somehow the voice sounded familiar to him, had he heard it before? He heard a shuffle of branches and leaves and quickly glanced up, coming face to face with none other than Shield himself. It took a bit longer this time, but for the third time that day, sure enough, his jaw dropped. His hand tightened around the small notebook immediately as excited adrenaline rushed through him as his eyes widened. He wanted to jump up and shout questions at Shield, but he knew that despite how much he wanted that damn story, it wasn't right to just bombard the man with questions when he was clearly on break.

'Do super heros even take breaks?' He questioned silently, still looking straight up at the other male. His face noticibly flushed however, at the word damsel again. If he was going to keep record of his interactions with the other he was going to have to keep writing that word, though he had to admit. When it was coming from Shields lips, it didn't to bad, not to bad at all. It took him a few minutes to compose himself, but once he did, with his head still inclined he answered. "I've certainly had better days, granted, probably not any near as exciting or memorable as this one as been." Letting out a soft laugh, he leaned forward a bit, pulling his gaze away from the other and drawing it to the ground before continuing. "The damn thing managed to wreck the office that I work in. So we might all end up out of jobs."

Leaning back again he added. "I don't understand the villians, why they do what they do. People could, and do, really get hurt here. If they get can't find a secondary office we will all be out of jobs. The robot didn't kill anyone thanks to you, but it could really have ruined peoples lives." Not wanting to sound ungreatful, he gave shield a slight smile. "Then again, at least everyone has a life, even if it is ruined for now, they have the opportunity to fix it. Something that couldn't be said if you haven't come in and saved the day."

Glancing down at his slightly swollen, he gave a slight shrug of his shoulders. "I managed to sprang it, probably when the thing lifted me up. I was trying to kick around a lot at first so think I just messed it up. Everyone else was smart enough to run, but I tried to grab for my camera, and ended up in that unfortunate situation. I'm lucky I wasn't dropped or crushed, so certainly not going to complain." Shifting in his seat, he slipped his note book away. Despite how excited he had been to get an interview, he found himself pretty comfortable for just getting to meet his savior for now. "So, tell me, what does the great hero, Shield, do when he isn't fighting off monsters?" He asked generally curious, looking up at the others goggles.

Hearing the other's complaint about the office getting wrecked, the hero couldn't help but let out a empathetic hum. Moving his arms so they were folded over his chest. The guy here did have a point, stuff like this does ruin people's lives. "I think a villain doesn't care if it doesn't benefit them. But then again, not all villains chose such a dark path," he said. Actually thinking about it. Heroes and villains can either be born or made. It wasn't just one or the other. Jun just so happen to have a power and chose a different path. He couldn't been a villain or just kept it to himself. When the guy spoke highly of him, he couldn't help but smile brightly. Something he doesn't normally do sincerely when people thanked him. Which is new, but , whatever. The blood that was rushing to his head was beginning to be too much for him. With a huff he flipped. Landing on his feet in front of the guy sitting on the bench.

"I mostly just hang about," he started, sitting next to the guy he saved. Hands in his jacket pockets. "Sometimes I go down to the shelter and play with the animals." Of course he didn't say which one. All though, he was pretty sure he'll start seeing more and more people in the shelters to try and see if they'll find him. Fantastic. "Wait, you said he tried to get your camera when a big robot dude was trying to get you?" He asked in a dumbfounded voice. Making hand gestures to make said giant robot monter. "I don't know if i should say you have big balls to do something like thought, or suicidal." This guy would do anything for a story, huh? He glanced over at the guy in question. "What about damsel? I'm pretty sure getting kidnapped by monsters isn't what you do on your past time."

He had to admit, the guy was interesting. Suicidal to get top story, but interesting nonetheless. He noticed it was getting late but decided to just stay a little longer. To humor the guy really. Not because he was sure the professor was waiting for him to get back and immediately murder him where he stood. Witnesses be damn. Jun gave the other male a childish grin, maybe the kid can entertain him before he go and hide in his dorm from the outside world for the rest of the day. "By the way," he started. "How old are you? Are you like a high school student? You look pretty young to be honest."

Jun hoped damsel was at least legal. He could see it in the headlinesn now: 'Super Hero Shield in The Park With A Jail Bait?' Though it's not like anyone is in the park besides them. Plus, the place was huge. And no one knows his age either. So, he was safe. However he did look around the place with his eyes just to make sure of the fact. God, he did sound like a cradle robber! He messed up his hair. The adrenaline rush he had was slowly going away, and the drained energy was effecting his head. Making him have more irrelevant thoughts than normal.

He really does need a nap. Or a least a twenty-four hour break from being a superhero. Just to recharge at least.

Toshihiro listened to the others explanation and couldn't help but nod in agreement. He had to admit he was pretty impressed when shield did the acrobatics trip of his, then again with what he had seen the man do that down he hardly felt like doing a flip was anything in comparison. When Shield said hang about he couldn't help but laugh considering the fact that he had just found the other, sitting in a tree basically, and then quiet literally hanging in a tree. Toshi was indeed a bit shocked at the shelter answer though, "The shelter? Well aren't you the average american good guy." He teased softly, before continuing with a rather sheepish smile. "Well, my job is everything to me, if I had just managed to get a get a good shot of either of you I really could have made it big, ya know? Maybe it was just a combination of both?" Then he heard that damn word again, he refused to admit, it was growing on him. Not that he liked having to be saved, he did, however, like the fact that he had sometime there to save him. A few months ago he had been chasing after a seperate hero, and gotten his by a bit of debree and the guy just left him lying there to get trampled, had Ryan not yanked him off the ground he probably would have died.

Still, that never deterred him from getting the next big story. Leaning back he glanced up, noting the large black clouds that were coming towards the city, and the temperature drop as well. Maybe it was going to snow? The idea of walking home with a sprained ankle while it was snowing was certainly not something that made him a very happy camper. "Well, by now you know i'm a reporter. Well at least i'm trying to be. I am only an intern right now, but I think I am going to have to quit and look for a new job. I can do free lance instead, write from the comfort of my own home and such. I wouldn't have office hours or have to worry about expectations of a higher up other than my father. Other than that, I don't really do much, it's pretty much just work or school with me."

The dark haired boy laughed at the others remark, touching the smooth skin of his face as he responded. "Oh? I look young then? If I keep up these long nights, i'm definetly going to loose that." He let out a laugh before answering. "I"m 19, i'm actually a college student right now. Despite my current job and ambition, i'm studying fine arts. I would ask you, but I can't exactly imagine a super hero marching onto a college campus and demanding an education. " As they spoke, the clouds only continued to move closer and closer, giving the city a rather ominous feel to it. "Hey, I know you are busy beating villians and saving kittens, but think you can give me a hand in getting home before we get covered over in snow?" He asked, giving Shield his best, 'please' smile.

Jun couldn't help but get a little embarrassed at the other's remark of him being the ' American good guy.' To him, it wasn't much. He just liked again around the animals. Maybe even help feed them, sometimes walk the dogs and bottle feed the newborns. My god, the guy was right. Hearing the other talk about wanting to make it big if he had that perfect shot, Jun decided he really was suicidal. But, was just trying to make it in this town. The male knew he was going to do something stupid just to help the guy out, and he was pretty sure superheroes are not suppose to this. On the other hand, he's not exactly a normal hero. When the guy said he could quit and go freelance, that's when the hero spoke up. "At least you're not giving up. And that says a lot," he reached over and ruffled the other's hair. "I'm pretty sure you're going to make it with determination like that."

Oh, so the guy's 19? He was his age then. He let out a chuckle. "If only it was that easy. Then I can finally have eight hours of sleep." Crap, he wasn't suppose to tell the guy that! Noticing his slip up, he bit his bottom lip. Mentally slapping himself across the face. Well he really wasn't an average hero, he was more gullible then most. How did he let something like that slip out? The shelter was okay, but school? The guy can easily track him down with just the information he gave him for all the hero knows. Jun snapped out of his thoughts when the other asked for some help home. Smiling, he stood up. Gingerly helping the other on his feet. Holding his hands like he was fragile. "Well, of course i'm going to help a damsel." Yup, he was going to forever call the guy that. It wouldn't be fair if he knew the other's name and the guy didn't even know what he looked like.

"Where to," Jun asked, still holding the other male's hands. They actually close, not chest to chest but still close. And yet the small amount of personal space he ad didn't bother him. He guesses it's because of the goggles. The saying that a person behind a mask feels invincible or braver is true. If they met when he wasn't in uniform, he would be a lot more reserved and wanting just some space. It was weird to anyone else. But, that's just how he was. Great, in his normal life, he's the average ,shy ,American good guy. A small flack of something white fall to the ground. Looking up in confusion, he saw more come down at a slow pace. Snow.

Toshirio stopped, glancing over at the other and a soft smile spread over his face. Shield had said Toshi could make it, someone as accomplished as a super hero had called him determined and said he could make it. He couldn't pin point why it made him so happy, but he felt so much lighter after hearing that, momentarily forgetting the he was practically jobless and injured currently. It was almost like a fire had been lit under his butt, the smile still clearly evident on his face. Only at this distance, did he really managed to get a good look at the other. The googles blured out the mans eyes slightly so made them hard to see, but he could already tell they were virbrant, and nicely shaped. His eyebrows shapped them nicely, as though they were accenting them perfectly.

His lips were plump and nicely colored, and his jaw line was strong, but soft at the same time, giving the man a naturally elegant apperance. He found himself wondering what the other would look like outside of the costume, and for some reason he really wanted to know. Toshihiro was pulled from his sudden delusion however, when he heard the mans next comment. Super Hero's generally worked all the time, and though some of them had no qualms about accepting money or awards, he didn't think he had ever heard of this one doing it. Super hero's had there own private lives, so it must be hard to have to run them both seperately. Toshi's one life was exhausting enough, let alone trying to live a second one. Yet again he was pulled from his thoughts as the man beside him shot up, and with little to no hesitation, the reporter reached up and took Shields hand. 'I just touched a super hero.' He thought, unsure s to why it made him so happy, and come to think of it, he had been in the mans hand earlier that day.

The edge of his mouth twitched slightly at the word damsel, wanting to smile at it but not wanting to seem like the new name made his to happy and seem weird. Using the others hand, he hauled himself up, carefuly to keep weight off of his foot. He could walk pretty much without a problem, but really didn't want to put anymore weight on it than neciccary. "Well, my place is nearbye, I live in a big condo over on Fith Avenu." Oh yeah, he was the classic rich kid, both of his parents paid for his home, despite his protest of being alright in a small apartment they had insisted. They wanted there son to have no distractions and the best environment so he could properly attend classes and work the internship at the same time, since interns made no money. His gaze followed Shields as he looked up, the snow was falling quickly but softly, he had not even noticed it had gotten gold enough for snow. In the corner of his eye he saw something move, and glanced down to see a cat, now hiding under the bench, trying to escape the cold. Smiling softly at it, he carefully knelt down and picked it up gingerly, a bit surprised when it neither fought or ran from him. Holding it close he spoke to it, "I'll take you home until it warms up a bit, wouldn't want you to freeze." He laughed as he looked over at Shield and mewled.

The hero nodded at the directions the other gave him. Before his eyes widened behind the goggles. The guy lived there? You had to be rich to live there, let alone step on the property! So damsel here is a rich kid who wants to be independent. Not someone he's ever ran into before, but it did make the other guy even more interesting to him. Dark black hair, adorable facial features and curious eyes that resembled the ocean. This guy was just charming without trying, for lack of better wording. Jun tilted his head to the side when the other started to kneel, then aweing at the sight of a cat in his arms. His heart completely melting at the sight. But he quickly tried to cover the noise by coughing, rubbing the back of his neck. Of all the embarrassing things he could do in his hero attire, it had to be cooing at a cat. But, it was just too cute. But heroes don't coo at animals! Taking a break from his argument...with himself, he looked over at the other male only to get caught off guard from the sudden laugh, and mewl that was directed to him.

Jun looked down a the cat, smiling softly and reaching over to scratch at it's ear. "Hey there little guy. You must really like damsel here since you let him pick you up." Yes, he talked to animals. And will forever be mad that that wasn't his superpower. Maybe there was a way for him to develop such an ability. He looked up at the other male, his soft smile turning into a bright, childish grin. "Let's get you both home, yeah?" Grapping damsel's free hand, he led them to the exit of the park. Going at a slow pace because of the other's wounds. The guy was really beginning to grow on him. He knew they couldn't becoming friends, considering his violent chose of life and the other's more suicidal one, but maybe acquaintances. Seems more likely to be honest. And if they did become friends, there's a chance a villain would find out and try to hold damsel here hostage. And, the hero couldn't stand the very thought. Looking over at said damsel, he decided that this would be the last time they'll see each other. Well, talk to each other.

Being a hero really is going to take a toll on him sooner than later. And Jun will loathe the day it will come. But, he wasn't going to stop saving people because he only had four hours of sleep this whole week. It's not like you can just stop being a superhero and give up all responsibilities. This city needed him, and he was going to protect it until the end. If bad guys don't rest and give up trying to rule the world, then he shouldn't give up protecting it. Though cliché, it was a saying he lived by ever since he started the whole hero thing. One of the rules being: 'Don't let anyone one get close.' No matter how painful it was , like right now, he has to keep his distance from the ones he cared about. So it was a good thing that his family lived three cities away. But..

Seeing the other male holding the cat, a soft expression came across his face. He wished being a hero was simple.

Toshihiro watched, not surprised at all that the other began to speak at the cat. It purred contently towards Shield, tail flicking contently. The man had said he spent the majority of his time at shelters, though he didn't say which one, so it only made sense that he seemed to love animals. Shields next comment made a flush cross the dark haired males face for a moment before he responded, "It's not like I let just anyone pick me up, you know." Making a slightly cheeky smile, he added. "Only giant, killer robots and Super Hero's get to have the pleasure of plucking me into there hands." He let out a soft laugh as he felt himself tugged along gently, he didn't think much of the mans hand in his since he was using it for support. But he still couldn't help but notice how warm it felt in his own, despite the cold weather around them that had somehow managed to drop so low so quickly, that hand will still so warm.

Shields face seemed so calm and content right now, somehow he thought heros would be a bit different. They generally ran in, beat up the monsters and would either wait around for compliments or gratitude, or they would fly off into the sunset just for the dramatic effect of it. He felt a shiver run up his spine for a moment, and glanced around quietly. 'what was that?' A man in a nice looking leather jacket, black jeans, studs in his ears, and bright blonde hair was watching the two from the other end of the park. A slow smile crept over his face as he revealed his almost to white teeth, despite the lack of sun in the cloudy snow, he also had on thick, black sunglasses. Pulling his phone out of his pocket, he used his phone to zoom in and snap a few pictures of the two. Shield was smiling, he looked happy, and the young boy seemed just as content, holding a furry creature in his free arm.

He glanced away from the two, to the picture that was now displayed on his phone, and he smirked at the enclosed hands. dialing a number, he put the phone to his ear and spoke after it clicked, "I am going to send you some pictures, I want you to find out who the black haired kid is in that picture, I may have found our way in." Tapping his phone to end the call, he stuck it into his pocket and turned around, walking the other way. If he were to follow them it would make getting caught a bit to risky. With a soft whistle on his lips, he practically skipped away. Toshihiro's smile dropped however, when the wind picked up, his arms tightened around the small cat. Just as they were about to get to the building that let up to the condo, 3 people stepped out of an alley behind them. One of them had a bat and the two were just sneering arrogantly at Shield. The one in the front spoke up first. "So your the great, powerful super hero right? I heard you put my brother in jail, he robbed that bank because he needed the money. A punk like you doesn't get to decide when someone is guilty."

He raised the bat slightly and pointed it at Shield, "Ya ready to answer for that, my man?" Toshihiro who was standing slightly behind Shield, lightly took his hand back, setting the cat down he spoke to her, "Now stay." Reaching into his back pocket he pulled out the notebook, and with an outtake of breath, he practically ran towards the three men. He took care to stay out of distance of the bat, his voice was light and he was making sure to make it as loud as he could without yelling. "Hey, I didn't catch that! Can you repeat it? I'm a reporter, I would absolutely love to do a story on the a bunch of kids trying to beat up a super hero that just today took down a huge robot. If you even manage to get a hit in, that could totally be news worthy! Hey, wait!" He yelled out, the men had been completely caught off guard by the dark haired man, and not only had he suceeded in delaying there attack, he managed to get the attention of a nearby security guard who was now watching the situation and preparing to reach for his radio. "Fuck this, I have better shit to do anyway." The man with the bat grumbled out, before turning with his two back ups and taking off back down the alley. Turning back to the other man, Toshi slipped the notebook back in his pants and called the cat over to him, who came happily with no resistance. The cat was clearly not happy about being set down in the steadily collecting snow anyway. Picking her up generally he turned to Shield and spoke with an impish smile, "We are almost there, it's up there." He pointed to the building practically in front of them."

Jun was somewhat, oblivious to his surroundings at the moment. To busy noticing how soft the other's hand was to really pay attention to reality. It was like he was in his own little world that involved him and damsel over there. And maybe the cat. Who he was thinking name for. What should he call it? It was definitely a girl. Shelby? Shauna? Wait, it's not even his. Great, he's getting attached to not only the guy but the feline as well. He was really breaking his rule.

The hero couldn't help but admit how content he was with the other male. Going as far as smiling to himself. Humming softly to a nameless tune while they walked on the snow covered pavement. The cold not really getting to him. He's notice that he doesn't get cold or hot as fast anymore. It even took a lot for him to at least get goose bumps. Today has been a lot different from the others. Everything was a repeating occurrence, same problems, same solutions, yet different day. Always either feeling bored or completely tired to the point that he was surprised that he hadn't fainted. Then damsel dropped into his life, figuratively and literally. Now he just felt, content. Not tired or as frustrated. Was this guy a wizard? If so, that would be amazing. He bit his lip to keep from laughing out and looking like an idiot. Though his joy was soon taken away when some thugs appeared in front of them. And just when he was feeling just a little better. Life was really out to get him not that he found some kind of happiness.

His hold on the other's hand tightened, his smile disappearing. Expression turning eerily impassive. What the hell did these guys want? When the guy in front, he amuses is the leader of the group, told him the whole story about his brother trying to rob the bank to get money for his family, he didn't bat an eye. Instead, his body went stiff and on edge. He was ready to fight, especially since there was an innocent person with him. But before anybody made a move of attack, the damsel started to distract them. Catching the attention of nearby security guard. The hero's body slumped, gaping at the other as his plan worked. Jun had to admit another thing, this guy was good. Like, really good. He was impressed to say the least. He was quiet for a moment before he started to laugh. Leaning over and holding his stomach. "You really are something else," he said in between each chuckle. Sobering up, he straightened his back and gave the other a bright smile. Cheeks just a little flushed from the cold wind that blew steadily. Walking up the guy, Jun ruffled his hair affectionately. "I think you would be better as a cop." Grabbing his hand again, he led the other male the rest of the way to his place. Okay, so maybe he should reconsider the first rule. He wasn't going to necessarily break it per say, just, bend it a little. They could still hangout every blue moon, right? They weren't going to be close friends or anything. But he will have to be conscious of where they hangout, though. He looked over at the condo that was now in front of them. "Is this it?" He asked, looking over at the other male with the same smile. He couldn't help it, he was pretty sure it was going to be stuck there for the rest of the evening at least. Jun kicked at the snow on the ground, about to say something that he was sure to beat himself up for when he was out of the other's sight. "Is there a chance I get to see my damsel again?" The male asked in a small voice, looking over at the other male with an equally small and bashful smile. Damn it, he's a superhero! Superheroes don't get flustered! He was pretty sure this guy had to be a wizard. He should ask that whenever they meet again.

He needs to calm down. He was just asking if they could hangout again, not asking for his hand in marriage! The hero was seriously going to have a talk with himself about a thing called acting cool when he didn't want people to see his emotions. Also known as a façade that he clearly didn't have. So maybe talking to himself was a lost cause, and plain talking to himself was lonely as hell.

Toshihiro was a bit caught off guard when the other broke into a fit of laughter, not because he was surprised at the laugh, but because of how Shield looked when he laughed. He looked so happy, like nothing else mattered in that moment than whatever had cracked him up so much. A few people even stopped to gawk, not noticing the super hero until he made such a display, causing Toshihiro to stand ackwardly trying to wave them away while the other man sombered slowly. Even the cat was watching Shield, flicking her tail rather entertained at the funny humans as she burrowed closer to Toshi's chest. The moment Sheld managed to stop his fit, Toshi's breath caught in his throat as he silently gapped as just how beautiful the other man really was built.

His cheeks and the tips of his ears were pink from the wind and cold, but they quickly reddened for a reason he couldn't exactly pinpoint. He could practically feel the warmth under his cheeks, and was glad that he could use the cold weather as an excuse, and was even going to convince himself that that is why he was flushed. Averting his eyes slightly he let out a shaky laugh before responding, "Ha, well I am pretty in adept to fighting, i'm just clearly not built for it. So I learned that sometimes there are other ways to go about fighting. Still, sometimes it's unavoidable, and next time that a fight has to happen, now I have a big bad super hero to call." He laughed, the snow was steadily falling around him, but he really didn't want to go home. Spending time with the other was somehow calming for him, despite all that had happened today, he was completely relaxed.

But it's not like he could take up the mans day, he had already done more than enough for him. Though Shields question caught him off guard. 'He actually wants to hang out?' He thought, he'd kind of assumed that the hero was just doing his duty and being kind to him while doing his hero duty and escorting him home so he never expected the question. "Well, "He began, trying to find the right words. "I think we could definetly arrange that, I would say you could swing by when you get off work anytime but I understadn the whole, hidden identity thing." Letting out a laugh he thought before turning around and pointing up at the building. "I live in Condo number A23, the security probably doesn't need my permission to let you in since you are you know, famous and all. I am usually there or at the university, I go to the one over on RedFern Avenue so you can find me either of those two places. " Stepping away from the other, he held the cat with one hand and waved to Shield with the other.

"Thanks again, I guess I owe you my life and now some kindness now. Be careful, it's going to take me years to pay you back." Letting out another laugh he smiled to Shield before finally turning to dissapear inside the entrance door to his building. Making his way to the elevator, he punched in the key pad for where he needed to do and waited, listening to the annoying elevator music as it brought him up. Once on his floor he carefully walked to his door, and pressed the unlock number into the door code and it unlocked. Pushing open the door, he set the cat down before walking to the couch and promptly falling face first onto the couch in frustration. Not because he didn't rememebr to ask for the interview, not because his office was destroyed and he was injored, but because for some god forsaken reason, he couldn't stop smiling and blushing.

Even though the other wasn't really built for fighting, he wasn't going to deny such an obvious thing, it was still an awesome defense mechanism. His face blushed further from being called a big bad superhero. He rubbed the back of his neck, not really knowing what to say in response to the compliment. It really hit something inside of him, maybe it was just his ego inflating on him. Yeah, that had to be it. His eyes widened behind the goggles when the other told him how he can him and what condo he lived in exactly. The guy really wanted to hangout with him? He felt something warm spread inside of his chest. He was just getting sick. Well, he doesn't get sick as much as he did when he was younger. It was probably his body trying to adapt to the cold air around him. A simple reaction the hero's body had now. "See you around damsel," he said as a farewell. Giving the other a small wave. He watched the other male disappear before letting out soft chuckle. The fluttering returning in his chest as he practically skipped back to his university. It is risky to live on campus with his double life but it's not like he can really afford an apartment at the moment. So, dorm life it is. As he skipped down the street, people the passed him gave him weird looks. Some even whispering, gossiping about the why the hero was so joyful at the moment. But Jun wasn't paying attention to them. His thoughts were completely on something else. And a pair of curious, sea blue eyes.

When he got to the campus, he was climbing a tree to get to the window of his dorm. It's not like he can just waltz right in. If only it was that easy. Why didn't he choose to be a hero that didn't hide his identity? Maybe because he thought there would be drama. Boy, was he wrong. Finally being eyelevel with the glass he slowly leaned forward and opened it up. A soft creaking sound echoing around him. He grumbled under his breath for the damn thing to shut the hell up, until finally, the opening was big enough for him to crawl in. And he did just that, except tripping over the window pane and falling flat on his face with a thud. "Ow~," he whined. Slowly standing up and taking off his boots and throwing them in a random direction. That being on his computer chair, causing it to fall over. Okay so maybe this was why he didn't want to be a villain. He sucks at this whole sneaky thing. The next thing he took off was his goggles. But this time he gently set it down on his desk. Plopping down on his bed with his arms folded behind his head. Today started off like any other day, but ended at lot differently.

He smiled up at the dark ceiling with stormy grey eyes, thoughts of his damsel filling his mind. He was actually going to see the other again. And that very thought made him feel fuzzy inside. The hero closed his eyes.It was weird how the other male was a college student. Not only that, at the same college as him. His eyes snapped open. The same college as him. The guy was at the same school as him?! "Shit," he whispered. Reality quickly sinking in. "Shit!" He rubbed at his face. This can't be happening, this world couldn't be that damn small. that meant he had to be a lot more careful at his own sanctuary. This had to be wrong. Maybe he said the wrong street name?

Yeah, that had to be it. Right? Jun took the pillow that was under his head and covered his face with it. Letting out a loud frustrated groan into the cotton. This was bad. Really, really bad.

Toshihiro managed to nod off right on the couch, with his face down in one of his pillows and one arm folded betweem him and the back of the sofa while his other was hanging off the edge, his fingers just barely brushing the floor. A soft mewl was heard in the silent apartment, the cat let out a hiss that the sleeping boy didn't hear, as the front door to his condo slowly and silently swung open. A large figure stood in the doorway, looking down at the cat, the masked man held up a finger to motion for the cat to be silent, to which the small animal turned and ran to the couch to sit by and protect her new master. She did not look happy in the least. "Hush now, or you'll wake him and this will be harder that it has to be." The figure made his way silently across the carpeted floor, walking past the sleeping figure on the couch and heading to the mans bed room, somehow he knew exactly where it was.

Kneeling down, he pulled out a transmitting device and taped it under the mattress. The noise would be muffled, but audible. Climbing back to his feet he continued to place the small devices around the house in areas where they would not be found, he had been prepared to put the young boy to sleep before doing this so he was extremely relieved to find he didn't have to use any force on the kid. Once he had all the devices set up he set the empty back by the door and walked over to the couch, kneeling down beside it he pulled out what looked like a stamp button. Extremely gently so he couldn't wake the kid, he reached up, brushed the dark hair away from the sleeping boys neck, and pressed the small application to the back of toshihiro's neck. It left what looked to be a black smiley face, but the intruder new that it was much more than that. "I'm sorry, Toshi. If only you picked better friends." The voice spoke, placing his hand on the others head in an apology before standing and leaving, locking the door behind himself.

**

Toshi groaned softly, yawning into the pillow beneath his head. Sleepily, he propped himself up on his elbows and looked around yawning wide. He was exghausted, and needed coffee some kind of serious. Pushing himself into a sitting position, he glanced around his silent condo before letting out another yawn. His hair was a mess and his shirt was beyond wrinkled. It felt like it was late in the morning, but it was still rather dark, glancing out of the window he saw that the snow was still falling. "It snowed all night?" He murmured sleepily, hearing a familiar mewl, he looked down to see the cat he had picked up, sitting at his feet with wide eyes. "Ah, you must be hungry? I think I have some canned tuna, i'll have to pick you up some decent cat food later."He spoke as he made his way to the kitchen and went up on his tip toes so he could open a high cabnet and pull a can out. Opening it then setting it down he watched her practically run to it and reached down to pet her head softly. Out of the corner of his eyes, he saw the clock on the stove and yelled, startling himself and the cat. "Shit!"

Dashing up to his room, he yanked off his shirt, and pulled on a black turtle neck one. Running his hands threw his hair he tried to unkik it a bit, but it still looked like bed head. For now though, he didn't have the time to worry about it. Running back to the door, he pulled on his scarf and wrapped it around his neck, then slid his arms through the sleeves of his jacket and bottoned it quickly. Stepping into his shoes, he hooked his bag around his shoulders and was out the door in a matter of minutes. At a dead run, that is until he got outside, stepped on the first patch of ice and fell face first into a nearby snow bank. Cursing softly, he pushed himself off the ground and took off towards the collece, being careful to avoid the slick spots as the snow continued to fall. Though he still managed to fall every so often.

Only after he got all the way there, did he realize his mistake. He had not even checked to see if the college was open, and it clearly was not, he had run all this way for absolutely nothing. Letting out a low groan as he stood at the front doors, he glared at the sign on the door that explained the college would be closed for the day. With a deep sigh, he adjusted his bag and turned to leave the campus, but promptly stepped right onto a slick patch of ice and fell right into another snow bank.

Jun was sitting on his bed glaring at his door. White hair messed up to the point that it could be tangled. Dark circles under his eyes as his hands had a tight grip on his pillow. To the point that if it was alive it would've been choking. Though there was some stuffing falling out of it. The hero couldn't sleep at all last night. Going over every bad thing that can go wrong with damsel going to the same school as him. It started off with small theories, and ended with him pacing the room like a madman pulling at his hair in shear despair. Luckily, the school called and said classes were cancelled today. Which would've made him happy any other day, but now he has no distractions. Groaning, he threw the damaged pillow at the door. Putting his face in the palms of his hands as he whined. He needed to get his mind off of the guy and any thing that can go wrong with their...'relationship'? Friendship? Whatever it was, he needed to stop worrying about it. With a silent sigh, he stood up and headed towards his closet. Getting out a blue hoodie and blue jeans, heading to the bathroom. And a few minutes later, he emerged. Still frustrated, but now clean. The sleeves of the hoodie cling to his arms while the rest was baggy around his body. His jeans tight fitting, well it was cold outside. Instead of showing his hair, it was tucked inside a blonde wig with a beanie attached to it. His steel grey eyes now covered with green contacts. He might as well head towards the shelter. They may need some help with the animals since the temperature outside suddenly dropped last night.

Putting on some sneakers and a scarf, he walked out of the dorm. Locking the door behind him. As he walked, he tried to keep his mind off of the damsel from last night. Just to save what's left of his sanity that was lost from his sleepless evening. Trying not to think about ocean blue eyes that was curious about the world around them, a cute smile that could melt the hearts of anyone, a voice that spoke of determination and dreams, soft looking skin and child like features-. Okay so he couldn't stop thinking about the guy! At least he was trying! But why was the other in his thoughts so much? Like he couldn't do anything without wondering what the other was up to. Or if he was just writing articles in his past time. God something was wrong with him.He rubbed at his face as he got outside, about to pass the gates of the university when he heard a noise. He looked up to see a guy on his back. He must've slipped on some ice. The hero did want to just keep walking, but of course, his stupid good guy instincts stopped him from doing so. Jogging over to the fallen man, he kneeled next to him. "Hey, you okay there," he called out. "You took quite a fall."

When the male looked closely, his body went stiff. God damn it. This is exactly the last thing he wanted to happen to him today! It was the guy from last night. Laying on the ground from a ice patch. Okay, don't panic. The guy doesn't even know he's actually Shield since he completely changed his looked instead of just putting on glasses and a suit. That being his eye color and hair. He swallowed, throat suddenly becoming dry from how nervous he was getting. He just hoped the other male wasn't injured in anyway. And that he wasn't that smart to look through his disguise. He had to admit, his disguise was a pretty damn good one if he could say so himself. He waited impatiently for the other to reply. Shifting from side to side and nervously looking everywhere.

He needed to get out of here, and fast. Before he gave himself away. Because with Jun's luck, he could slip up and say he is Shield. And wouldn't that be fantastic. Putting both his hands in his pocket, he let out a huff. Smoke coming from his mouth and into the air. The shelter wasn't that far, if he could just make it there he'll be safe.

Toshihiro let out a groan on impact, laying there, and it not being the first time he was so annoyed that he considered just laying in the snow for a while, and throwing a small tantrum. 'If shield was here, he probably would have caught me.' He mused softly to himself, then quickly raised his arms, using his hands to wipe his face roughly in an attempt to wipe the thoughts from his mind. He didn't need a babysitter, he wasn't some kid who needed to have someone there to protect him, he wasn't some damsel. Damsel. The word flitted through his mind like a wild bird that accidentally flew through the wrong window. Banging around, causing a commotion and cluttering things, leaving confusion in it's wake. He let out a low, defeated sigh. That word was never going to be the same for him.

However he was pulled from his thoughts when he heard the ryhtmatic crunch of the compacting snow, someone was coming towards him. When he heard the voice, his hands flung from his face and he shot up into a sitting position as he looked to the direction that the voice had come from. "Shie-!" But his breath caught in his throat as he found himself looking up at just another college student, albeit, he was amazing looking college student. His eyes were a subtle green, and his hair framed his face nicely, his eyebrows curved expertly and his lips were magnificent. Aspects of the other definitely looked like Shield, but there was no way this was him, not with the different hair and eyes. Letting out a sigh of disappointment he reached up and adjusted the strap on his bag since it had loosened a bit with the fall.

Why had he even been disappointing anyway? He had just seen the other yesterday after all, it's not like he really assumed he would run into him or anything. Pushing himself up, he carefully climbed up off the ground before looking to the stranger in front of him and smiling slightly, no where near the smile he would have given Shield. "Ah, yeah i'm sorry, thanks. I had no idea that the school was closed today, so ran all the way here. Feels like I managed to hit every ice patch on the way here." He groaned slightly, stretching out and arching a bit to try and get the kinks he had literally knocked into his back out. Glancing down at the snow bank he had fallen into, he kicked it slightly and added, "Though I can't imagine why the thought of the school being closed didn't even cross my mind. I can be a bit dense at times I suppose."

Letting out a soft laugh at his own stupidity, he quickly stepped around the other man and began to walk away but halted himself suddenly. Turning back to face the other who helped him, he spoke, "Oh, i'm sorry that was really rude of me. My name is Toshihiro, Toshihiro Malamure. Everyone calls me Toshi, do you know if the animal shelter is open today? I managed to pick up a cat and wanted to run by and see if anyone had picked up a missing one lately." Reaching up to adjust his scarf, he finally gave the other student a chance to speak.

Jun jumped back when the other male shot up. Damn near having a heart attack. This guy needed a bell or something. He slowly stood up when the other pushed himself up. Moving his face into the giant scarf that was wrapped around his neck. Trying to hide like a turtle. "You should be more careful," he said softly. Damsel really is suicidal. He ran the whole here? Did he even know that bus transportation was invented? The male let out a breath he didn't even know he was holding in when the other was walking away. He was free, now if he could just speed walk the rest of the way to the shelter, his freedom would be complete. But before he could turn around and run like hell, the guy stopped and talked to him again. He was so close. "Jun. Soma Jun." It felt like they were now quoting James Bond. So damsel's name was Toshihiro? Too long. Toshi it was then. When asked where the shelter was, he immediately answered,"You're going the wrong way. I'm heading towards the place, actually."

Noticing his mistake, his body stiffened. Eyes slightly going wide. He was digging his own damn grave here! The hero curled in on himself more. He really wishes he had his goggles with him right now. Then he wouldn't be this nervous wreck. Then again, he would be labeled as a weirdo who wears goggles everywhere he goes. He shifted from side to side, frustrated with himself. How in the hell did he slip up again? This guy had to be a wizard or at least have some power over him. And that very idea irritated him. He glanced up at Toshi before quickly looking away, licking his lips. "If you want...I could...show you the way." No, he has to abort this mission of bad decision making right now. Wasn't him running into the guy bad enough for him? Jun shook his head, backing down from the request he made. "Never mind," he started. "You must be busy with other stuff. G-goodbye...," bowing slightly in farewell, he was hesitant to turn away.

Didn't he just tell himself that he needed to leave? Like, now? Swallowing, he did another quick bow before slowly turning away. Making small steps towards the direction the shelter was. The hero trying to hide his face as much as he could inside of the scarf. This was good, he's leaving the other male alone. He only needs to hangout with Toshi when he's Shield. It would make it less complicated. But, what makes him think the other would want to befriend plain old Jun? Different from his hero persona, he was more reserved. Emotions going more inward then out, having insecurities. If only people could wear masks everyday. Just so they can be the person they hide behind different and complex characters. He sighed. It doesn't matter now, this was the last time he was going to see Toshi in his normal life. It was better this way, right? If so, why did he have this feeling in his chest? It felt, empty. He was probably hungry. The hero was starting to worry about his health. Maybe superheroes can get sick after all. He needed to look into that when he was back in his dorm.

Toshi couldn't help but note how socially ackward the other seemed, he didn't seem to want to look Toshi in the face at all, and he just kept shuffling like he had somewhere else to be. Then again, he had clearly been heading somewhere before the young reporter had interrupted him. His eyes brightened slightly when he heard that Soma Jun was also heading towards the shelter. He needed to check if there was an owner for that cat he found before he named it and got close to the thing. Toshi was pretty far away from the other so he could barely hear him, he had to strain his ears slightly and lean forward a bit to make out the words. The dark haired male didn't miss the switch in the other, he seemed like a normal guy one minute then the next he seemed to want to avoid all contact. Is this guy alright? He wondered, glancing at the man warily.

However it wasn't until Jun had turned around and began to walk away did he realize he was missing an opportunity. He had never been to the shelter, so he had no idea where it was, plus Shield had mentioned that he went there often. So maybe if Toshi was hanging out there every so often they would run into eachother? Hanging around places he only might stop by seems a bit stalkerish. His mind silently scolded him, and he tugged on his scarf in annoyance. Well, he needed to go there anyway for the cat, it clearly had nothing to do with shield. He convienced himself within seconds before holding onto his strap with one hand and taking off after Jun. "Hey! Wait a second!" He called out, and because he was looking at the back of Jun's head, yep you guessed it, he fell flat on his face once again. But climbed up within seconds, brushing himself off as he caught up to the other male and spoke.

"No no, i'm really not doing anything right now. Classes were canceled after all, and let's just say it's not like work is going to keep me busy any time soon." Though he liked his job, the office environment killed him, he hated the oppressive tone it had to it on days when his boss was in a bad mood. "Thanks for the offer, i'll have to take you up on that one." He spoke softly and smiled, this boy, something about him seemed lonely, yet familiar. Ever since Toshi had been in middle school, he always found people who he thought needed a friend and would stick to them like glue. Determined in his little world, that no one should ever be lonely, or need a friend and have no one to call. The fact that he was outgoing only helped in that area. .Though this guy was good looking so he was sure he had plenty of friends and didn't exactly need Toshi nipping at his heels. Making his way to stand beside Jun, he waited for the other to lead him on, "Alright, lead the way, how come your going to the shelter on a day like this by the way? With this kind of weather it's probably not a good idea to be out, is it?" He asked as a burst of wind blew his scarf slightly and he had to readjust it.

Damn it. He tried to keep walking when the other male called out to him. Maybe if he ignored him, the guy will go away. But hearing a thud behind him made him stop in turn around. Seeing Toshi flat on his face. Did....did this guy just fall again? Hearing that he was going to take him up on that offer, he screamed in shear frustration in his head. On the outside, he briskly nodded his head. Continuing his way to the shelter. He fixed the scarf around his neck, staring straight a head. "I can't just leave them," he explained. Thinking about all the animals he takes care of there. "They need me." Some of them were already abandoned by their owners, and he wasn't going to do the same. Fr the rest of their walk he stayed quiet. Not wanting to say anything else. The soft sound of their feet crunching the snow and people passing them the ony sounds heard. The hero was really panicking on the inside.

This was bad. Terribly so. Whay can't he just leave the other a lone? It would be a lot simpler if the other didn't go to the same school as him. He should all ready at the shelter being surrounded by puppies barking with joy. Licking him relentlessly. But no. He decided to help Toshi go to the same shelter as him. When they finally got to the building, to say he high tailed it out of there was and understatement. Quickly, he went inside, not caring if the other was following him or not. He waved at the owner who was behind the desk before hiding where the dogs were. The animals immediately recognized and began to bark. Sighing in relief, body longer tense, he went inside one of the cages. Instantly getting jumped on by the animals. Causing him to fall on his behind with a loud huff. But ge did forgive them when they

they began to lick him to death. "I missed you guys too," he mumbled petting as much of them as he could. Now, he was safe. It's not like damsel was going to follow him all the way to the back. He was probably going to stay in the lobby or something. Maybe get some information on the cat he found. The hero hoped beyond belief that he wouldn't run into the other again in his normal life. It would probably complicate things. What would it complicate exactly, he had no clue. Just that he should only meet the other as Shield.

He can't mix his two lives together. God this was frustrating. Rubbing at his face miserably, he stood up and went of the cage. To the displeasure of the dogs. Locking it back, he went to the next one. Well he was going to greet every last one of them. And no, it was completely normal. He did this all the time. As lonely as that sounded. That's not important. What is important, is how is he going to go about avoiding Toshi as Jun but hangout with him as Shield. This was not fair, completely against his own rules. He was pretty sura God was laughing at his expense. Even faith was giving him a pitiful look. It's not like he's going to stay here all day like i'm going to do. I'm pretty sure he has friends to hangout with.
