Toshi listened to the others explination and couldn't help but smile at it. Someone taking there time, especially on a day like this, to go down and play with isolated animals seemed almost to nice. He made sure to watch the ground as they walked, he had had about enough of falling today. After this he could go home, and figure out what to do about getting Shield out of his mind. By the time they got to the shelter, Toshi was cold and grumpy. The back of his neck was absolutely throbbing, reaching up behind him, he rubbed it gingerly. "Did I sleep on it wrong?" He murmured softly, before nearly having a heart attack when Jun Soma was knocked over by a dog. Some of the animals here were to far gone and could be extremely violent, so he was a bit worried that the dog had attacked the other. He had rushed to the side of the cage in an attempt to help but when he heard the man laughing he let out a sigh of relief. Stepping away from the cage, he spoke to Jun Soma, "Well I've bothered you enough for today, thanks for showing me this place. I'll probably be around here from time to time and I have to meet my friends at Johnsons coffee house, so i'll see you around. If you see me on campus don't hesitate to say hi."

He finished, smiling at the other and waving before turning and heading to the check in counter where a clearly under paid emploee was standing there reading a magazine. "Excuse me? I have a question?" He spoke, and the emploee looked up, putting a tab in her magazine she raised an eyebrow and responded. "Sure hun, what is it?" Adjusting his feet, spoke. "I picked up a stray cat, and it is grey and pretty friendly so I don;t think it's a stray. If I leave my number, can you give me a call if anyone reports a missing grey cat?" The lady simply pushed a notepad towards him and a pin nodding, to which he quickly scribbled down his number before turning and leaving. It took him a good 30 minutes to walk all the way downtown to the coffee shop, when he finally made it, he saw Ryan look over and wave to him. Pushing open the door to the small cafe and made his way over to his best friend.

"Hey, you doing okay? You look a bit green around the gills?" Ryan spoke, looking toshihiro up and down. Reaching up, Toshi rubbed the back of his head nodding. "Yeah, just a bit sore from yesterday probably." As they spoke, a low rumble was heard through the street, and a vibration began to shake the ground violently, knocking most people over. Then all the electricity went out, everything was dark. All that could be heard where scared murmurs and the howling wind outside. Then, a huge crash was heard, and a car fell out of no where, right in front of the coffee shop. Toshihiro's eyes widened as he felt Ryan tug him away from the window just before a huge burst of air blew in the window of the coffee shop, and every building in the area.

A huge, booming voice could be heard, ringing throughout the city. "OH SHIELD, YOU ARE THE NEWBIE ERE RIGHT? I WANTED TO COME AND INTRODUCE MYSELF. COME ON AND PLAY WONT YOU?" The voice was deep and clearly inhuman. Pushing himself away from Ryan, Toshihiro made a dash for the door, if there was a villian, then that means that Shield would come. Pushing open the door, he all but tumbled into the street. Looking around, he couldn't see the monster or shield in the snow, all he saw was white. "oshi!...Toshi!" He could hear Ryan yelling out for him, but ignored it. To his right, about a block away there was a huge building, if he could get to the top of that, he would be able to see the monster. Taking off in the direction of it, he ran into the building where the power was also out. Dashing up the stairs he finally made itto the top, out of breath, and shoved open the roof door.

Jun looked up as the other male spoke to him. Slowly nodding, he mumbled a soft farewell before returning his attention to the animals that were surrounding him. His chest feeling weird. Was his powers acting up again? The last time it did, he was training. He was practicing in the junkyard when his exoskeleton turned from sapphire to a dark scarlet color. And he lost control. It took him almost a few minutes for him to stop, and when he did, his energy was drained to the point he was in bed for a day or two. And the junkyard totaled. That's why he tries to avoid using too much of his power and to look out for any red patches on his armor. But that only happened once and it was a while ago. The hero has good control over his ability now and was sure that something like that won't happen again. Even so, why was his chest feeling weird then? Maybe it's because he didn't eat for eighteen hours. Though he wasn't hungry. Groaning, he covered his face. Wanting to just let the dogs distract him from his unhelpful thoughts.

Suddenly, the ground began to shake. The animals going crazy. What the hell? Then the power went out, submerging them in complete darkness. He stood up, going outside just in time to hear a booming voice call him out. Well, at least it's a distraction. Narrowing his eyes and smirking, he ran off to a nearby alley near the shelter. He had his hero attire hidden in many parts of the city. Mostly around the places he frequently hanged out at, which wasn't many. After a few minutes, Jun was completely gone. Being replaced with someone with responsibilities and people to protect. Shield ran to where the villain was. A crowd of people running away from a certain direction all at once was kind of a dead giveaway. When he got there, he nearly tripped over his own feet when he saw the monster. It looked like a mutated animal. Dark fur covering its body, sharp teeth and claws, standing on two feet like a man. A humanoid? Awesome! Wait, not awesome!

Taking a deep breath, his psionic exoskeleton appeared. Making him the same height as the monster. "You called?" He yelled out, folding his arms behind his head. The monster looked over at him, a grim smile on his face. "THERE YOU ARE," it rumbled before running at him at full speed. Catching the hero off guard. Though he did move to the side just in time. But was a split second late, the claws slashing his armor. "Shit!" He hissed, holding his side and glaring at the humanoid. One down side to his ability, was that sometimes he can feel the pain. He didn't get injured, thank god, but can still feel it like he did. Letting go of his side, he ran up to the monster and kicked it in its side. Making it howl in what he assumed was pain. But saw just how wrong he was when he saw the smirk on the thing's face. "THIS IS WHAT I WANTED!"

"....What." Before Shield can figure out what this guy meant, a claw was coming straight for him. He ducked with a yelp, making his hands turn into swords. And then, the fight really started. Punches and kicks being exchanged at a quick pace. Some misses, some hits, even curses. However, there was a problem. The mutant wasn't getting tired. The hero was panting heavily, trying to keep up. Crap, at this rate his exoskeleton was going to disappear. Deciding enough was enough, he tackled the thing. Making them skid across the street in a tangle of limbs. Tumbling over cars. When he was on top of the villain, Shield began to attack. Wanting to at least slow the guy down. He punched the humanoid in the face mutable. Each one harder than the last. The plan was working but slowly.

He saw his hands slowly turning red. He needed to end this now! But before he could get another punch in, he was kicked and lounged into the air. Heading towards a building. Thinking quickly, he made his armor disappear so there would be minimal damage. Even though he regretted the decision immediately when his body smashed through an office window. Crashing through each cubical until he hit the wall with a thud. Sliding down to the wall in a heap. "Fuck..," he hissed. Taking a few calming breaths before he stood up. His back burning from the pain. Anger slowly boiling in his veins. This guy was pissing him off. First, he couldn't sleep at all last night. Then he ran into Toshi who didn't even recognized him, his feelings confusing him to the point that he's getting a headache, and now this!! Growling, he ran back to the hole he made in the window. All logical thinking out of his mind.

This guy was going to pay. He jumped out of the hole, red exoskeleton appearing as he landed on the ground. Slowly standing up. This armor was different from his other, looking more like a monster than a human. Sharp claws appearing on his hands. "Let's try this again," he said, lunging at the humanoid claws first.

Toshi's eyes widened when he saw the monster, if only he remembered his damn camera! Cursing his own stupidity, he ran over to the other side of the roof so that he could get a clear view of the thing even with the storm. The ground shook again, causing him to fall back to the ground. Pulling himself back up, he looked back down just in time so see Shield. He was here! "Shi-!" He tried to call out but stopped, if he distracted the other, then what? What if Shield got hurt? Not that it really mattered, it wasn't like the hero could hear him from up here anyway. Cursing softly, his eyes went wide as he saw the thing all but throw Shield through a building. "Shield!" He cried out, leaning over the edge see that he could see the large hole that was left from the others toppling body.

He had to do something to help, it just wasn't right for the other to have to fight by himself, it wasn't his job. He didn't get anything out of it, but he did it whenever he was called. Standing back, he looked around, for anything that he could help with. Then he saw it, the thing had knocked down a few power lines, and with all this snow, if he could get the thing covered enough then he could send an electric current via those power lines. Turning around he dashed back down the stairs, which took a good length of time considering the height of the building. He hit the street at a dead run, as he ran in the direction of the comotion, but just before he turned the corner towards the monster, someone ran into him and tackled him to the ground. "Ow, what the fuck man!" He yelled out, pushing the other off him, however he calmed a bit to see Ryan sitting up beside him. "What the hell did you do that for?" He rubbed his shoulder, glaring at his friend.

"You idiot, you are going to get yourself killed. That stunt yesterday was enough, now you want to run at an even more violent monster? You are going to get yourself hurt." He spoke, his voice was low but serious. Pushing himself up from the ground, Toshi turned away from Ryan and began walking towards the direction of the crashes. "If it were you fighting all by yourself, you wouldn't want to do it all by yourself, would you?" Without another word, he took off again, leaving Ryan sitting in the snow. Ryans eyes narrowed to the back of Toshi's neck where he could see the small smiley face on it, bitterly he spit out, "Fine, I hope it kills you."

Toshi rounded the corner just in time to see Shield lunge at the huge monster, narrowly missing as the thing swept to the side and tried to body slam Shield to the ground. Looking around, it only took him about two minutes before he found what he needed, a nearby power line, but it was still instact. He was going to have to make it knock it down somehow. Rushing over, he did the only thing he could think of, grabbing a nearby stick he jammed it into the creatures foot. To the monster it was probably nothing more than a splinter, but it was a way to get it's attention none the less. It jumped back in surprise before looking down to see the annoying little human standing there, looking up at him wide eyed. Time to run. "You little-, interrupting adults business." He took a step forward, attempting to simply squash the reporter, but Toshi jumped out of the way at the last minute, leaving the creature to bring his foot down right on the closest power line.

When he had jumped, he had fallen to his stomach, looking over his shoulder, he saw the sparkling end of the now cut wire. The creature turned his attention back towards shield, disreguarding the annoying human. He had come hero for the hero, not the little flesh bag on the ground. Literally throwing himself at the wire, he reached out and grabbed it, carefully before running the distance to the things foot and pressing the electric end straight onto it. It yelled out before kicking Toshi away, making him fly a few yards into a nearbye snow back .The large mother holding onto it's leg in pain.

Shield stopped short when he saw the monster scream in pain. Looking down to see Toshi with an electric wire pressing it into the thing's leg. This guy really had a death wish. But he didn't have time to dwell on such a fact when the other male was kicked a few yards from the humanoid. "TOSHI!" He screamed. No... God damn it! Sprinting, he lunged at the monster claw first, slicing its neck. The monster, surprised from the sudden change of events, fell to the ground. Chocking on its own blood. Blinking up at the hero while trying to stop the bleeding. Crouching over the humanoid, he pierced his claws right through it's head. Killing it instantly. Panting, his armor slowly shrank. Making him go back to a normal size. Glaring at the dead villain. People started to gather around, thanking him and cheering. But only one person was on his mind and it was Toshi. The male looked around with slight panic.

He needed to find him, to make sure the other was okay. Pushing his way through the crowd to find the other, began looking for him. But, it was taking him too long to do so and his panic increased ten fold. What if the guy was laying somewhere dying? What if he was already dead? Shield tugged on his hair with one of his hands in desperation. Then he spotted something, a tuff of black hair in the snow. Immediately , he ran over. Hoping, praying, that it was Toshi. When he got closer, he sped up. It was him. He fell to his knees next to the other, gingerly lifting his head. "Damsel?" He called out, desperate to know if the other male was fine. He softly shook him, his chest tightening painfully.

This was like some type of sick nightmare. This had to be one, it was too much for him to handle. Is was a little ironic, he tried to say away , thinking it was safer for the other male, and in the end he still got hurt. If the guy knew who he was, and he told the other to stay clear, he wouldn't be laying in the snow like this.

Why was this happening? Why did the other do this? He should've been somewhere safe instead of trying to help. "Why would you do something so stupid?!" He scolded the other, not knowing if he can hear him or not. The hero couldn't lose the other like this, they only knew each other for a day. Hell, he didn't want to lose him regardless of how long they knew each other. He didn't care if there were people looking at him with different levels of pity. All he cared about if his Damsel was alive and well, not the gossip that was soon to surround him. He pressed his forehead against Toshi's, trying to the sudden tears that were trying to fall. He's not going to cry, the other was okay. He just knew it.

...Right?

Toshi gasped softly as he felt all the air rush out of him when he hit the snow bank, the pure shock of it made him black out for a moment. He groaned softly, he felt far away, but somehow could tell he was absolutely freezing at the same time. You've got to get up. His mind whispered softly, but he found it was just to hard, he felt so heavy. Suddenly, the creeping cold that surrounded him lifted, almost immediately he could feel himself warming up. Going from drastically cold, and then to warm, comfortable and safe? The warmth seemed somehow familiar to him, slowly but surely he was brought closer and closer to contious, until finally his eyes opened and he found himself face to face with none other than Shield.

Ah, that's right, this was the warmth. Thinking back, this was the same warmth he had felt when he had been caught by the man, and the same warmth when the other had been holding his hand. This was a warmth he wanted to hold onto. Though he couldn't see the others eyes, he could tell that Shield seemed upset. Reaching up he touched the hero's cheek softly and spoke, "What's wrong? Did you get hurt?" However, before the hero could respond, Toshihiro saw a flash out of the corner of his eyes. Glancing over, he noticed someone, no, everyone, was taking pictures. But why? It was only then that he noticed he was so close to Shield, and in such an intimadte position. Eyes widening slightly, a blush spread over his cheeks, even brighter than the day before. Much to quickly, he tried to jump up, and ended up colliding head to head with Shied in the process, banging his forehead on the others.

"Shit ow," He grumbled out, reaching up and rubbibg his pained forehead and groaning at his now even more soar back. If he hadn't landed in a snow bank he probably would have been hurt much worst, but as it stood it looked like he just ha whip lash and some aches and bruises. Realizing he was fine, his shoulders slumped and he sighed in instant relief. "Good lord did you see that thing? Did I help kill it?" He asked, looking over to Shield like nothing drastic had just happened in the slightest. "Oh, I think I dropped my bag too, any idea where?" His eyes scanned the ground around him.

The hero opened his eyes, he didn't even know he closed them, when he felt something touch his face. Only to almost sob in relief when he saw that Toshi was okay. He was safe, and more importantly, alive. Why was this guy asking if he was hurt? He was the one ypu was kicked like a rag doll! He shook his head quickly. He wasn't hurt at all, but he was sure that when the adrenaline rush goes away he'll be sore. But he didn't care, the other was safe and he could care less about the pain that was soon to come. He opened his mouth, ready to say how glad he was that the other male was okay, when their heads collided. Causing him to move back, holding his forehead. "Fucking hell!" This guy bounced back pretty fast.

Wait, what?Shield looked over at Toshi, dumbfounded by all the questions he was asked. Like there wasn't just a humanoid monster that attacked the city. Or that he was kicked at least a few yards into the snow. Irritation pricked at his skin, his hands balling up into fists before he huffed and put both of his hands on the other's face. Forcing the guy to look at him. "Damsel," he started. Looking straight at the other. Then, he showed his frustration and how emotionally tired he was. Pinching both of Toshi's cheeks and tugging. "Of all the things you're worried about, why the hell is it about monster!" He snapped. Well, he was still happy to know the guy was alive. Just, showing it in a different way. It's not his fault, what the other did was a stupid move. "And your bag? Fuck your bag, you should've stayed out of the way! Do you know how worried I was when I saw that thing kicked you like you were nothing? While yes, you did help, but it could've cost you your life!" Panting heavily, he released his death grip he had on the other's cheeks. Setting his hands on his shoulders and lowering his head.

"I thought I lost you," he said in a soft broken tone. Feeling emotionally drained now that he let all of his frustration out. And he had the right to be. He was already worried about the guy getting hurt if they were friends or closer. Now this happened? Shield just thinks this guy has no common sense whatsoever. Either that or he thinks he's invincible or something. Wrapping his arms around the other, he pulled him into a hug. A rather intimate one. "Don't you ever do something so stupid again, okay?" Toshi was going to kill him from having him worry so much. This will be the villain's weapon , he was sure of it.

Toshi's eyes widened slightly when he went from looking for his bag, to face to face with the other. Warm, yet again. Shields hands felt so warm on his cheeks which were freezing due to the weather. He was extremely shocked when the other yelled at him, feeling his cheeks stretched out as the man continued to scold him for his own lack of concern for his safetly. Despite the fact that he was being yelled out, somehow, it made him happy to know the other cared enough to actually yet at him. He could just finished the job and left without a care in the worked, but he had come to Toshi's aid. That thought alone was enough to make his chest flutter slightly. Sitting silently, he made no move to pull away so he let Shield work out the rest of his worry.

A soft smile spread over the his face as he reached up with little hesitation, and wrapped his arms around the other, burrying his face into Shields neck. Safe, he felt safe and warm. All was calm and quiet, that is until a squeal was heard behind him. Flashes began to go off one after the other, and Toshi's back stiffened, a huge blush spreading over his cheeks and traveling up his ears. A large crowd had collected around the fallen monster, and they had all come to see it, but instead they seemed to be gawking wide eyed at the hero and boy who seemed to be embracing eachother so sentimentally. Toshihiro had absolutely no idea how to react, he was extremely durable, able to bounce back from practically anything, but now he choose stood red faced and awe struck.

"Hey, Shield? There are people watching, a lot of people." He murmured out, just as someone with a huge camera pushed there way out in front of the crowd and rushed over to them. Kneeling down right beside them he snapped a few quick pictures before addressing them, talking like he had had one to many cups of coffee. "So, Shield has an interest? Oh I know you! You were that kid from the robot thing weren't you! Can I ask you some questions?" His smile was plastered on his face as he stepped closer to the two, causing Toshihiro to back up against Shields chest, watching the clearly desperate man. A few others began to follow in his suit, attempting to yell questions at the boy and Shield.

"Don't care," the hero answered immediately. Tightening his hold on Toshi just in case he decided they should stop hugging. Well, embracing really. The other was so warm, soft even. And Shield couldn't help but notice how well he fitted against his chest. Like a missing puzzle piece. That sounded cliche, but, whatever. It was true nonetheless. But the flashing of cameras and squealing people were annoying him. To the point that he let out a a loud sigh. Slouching forward. Why are they worried about them? Well he is the famous new superhero who is cuddling some random guy in the snow after a huge monster battle. But still! Privacy is a thing now! His annoyance grew when a happy-go-lucky report sat beside them and asked them questions. Especially when the other male tried to hide in his chest and more came. Wait interest? It wasn't an interest! Just...god damn it.

Letting go of the other, he slowly stood up. Pulling the guy with him. The hero looked over at the reporters and smiled. He never thought he would have to use this Plan B escape route, but it seems now is a good time. Considering these guys are acting like vultures for a new best selling headline. "I would love to stay and tell you more about our relationship," he started, throwing Toshi over his shoulder. Not really caring if the other would yell at him for doing something so degrading. "But I have to take this Damsel home." Clicking his shoes together, a pair of wheels appeared at the bottom of them. He made these makeshift skates from scrape and just in case something like this happened. Which in the beginning he thought it was unlikely. Seeing an opening in the crowd, he quickly skated out of the sea of people. Moving at great speed while still keeping a safe hold on the other male.

Completely ignoring the yells behind him to wait and more squeals from what he assumes were the girls. Though he was positive one of them sounded more masculine. Oh well. They traveled the city until he got at least a few blocks away from where the guy lives. Coming to a screeching halt, and setting him down one the ground gently. Clicking his shoes again to make the skates disappear. He put his hands in his pockets as he kept thinking about what the reporter said. Interest? It's not like a romantic interest...right? It was more he wanted to get to know the guy. Not date him, or live with, or kiss-. His face started to turn a pale shade of pink. And he will forever blame it on the cold. It had to be, since he was kneeling on the cold ground not too long ago. And the wind was blowing with little to no mercy.

Toshi watched the other begin to speak to the crowd, he had all but pressed himself against the others chest by this point. He was always the one taking the pictures, or asking the questions, but now being on the other end of it he had a new found respect for what he and other reporters probably put there subjects through daily. His cheeks flushed at the word 'interest'. He had only known the other for what, a day? Still, the man had saved his life twice now, and even if he didn't know much about Shield somehow he still felt the need to help him. Why would someone throw themselves in front of a huge, looming monster unless that had someone or something they were trying to protect? He glanced over at Shield and parted his lips to say something but before he got the opportunity he felt strong hands encircle his waist and next thing he knew he was in the other and they staring at the ground.

The other was so fast it took him a moment to realize he was currently dangling on the mans shoulder weightlessly. More cameras flashed and he quickly put his hands over his face as his cheeks went bright red. Shield was carrying him to safety and referring to him as damsel yet again, despite how emberresed he was something about it just felt so warming. "Wait, wait!" He called out just as the ground beneath them began to move as the other zoomed away. His eyes went wide as he burried his face in the back of the others shirt, still upside down. However, out of the corner of his eyes, he caught a glimpse of a man leaning against a nearby wall. Something about him stood out, there was a huge, almost deadly smirk on his face, and despite the terrible weather, he was wearing sunglasses.

As soon as the man was gone from his view, he relaxed a bit. However a loud squeal was heard and he glanced over just in time to see two girls holding up a huge sign that said Shield!!! on it with a bunch of hearts and lips and kissy faces drawn on it. Something about the sign make his lips purse in annoyance, his grip in the others shirt tightening slightly. What was this, wait he was getting jealous? Of what? It is not like Shield belong to him, he was a super hero for god sakes of course he would have adoring fan girls. Hibuki was more than relieved to feel the ground beneath his feet again, though he had to admit the others body against him had felt extremely warm, especially in the current weather. "Well, you managed to save my life again."Clearly his throat, he glanced do the side, not wanting to look at the others face as he asked the next question, "It's freezing, and I have to say i've fallen a lot today so i'm pretty sore. Want to come over for some coffee, or hot chocolete or something?" He asked, not wanting to have to see Shield's face if he turned the offer down.

So the girls holding up a with his name on it kind of made him flustered in a way. He wasn't really expecting to have 'those' kind of fans. And the drawn hearts and kissy faces were a bit too much for him. Giving him an embarrassed feeling, hopefully Toshi didn't see. Though he didn't know why exactly he didn't want him to see, since it really shouldn't matter. It's not like they're dating or anything. He nodded his head when the other male spoke, putting his hands into his pockets. Giving the other a small smile. Well, he has been saving the guy a lot lately. But it didn't bother him in the slightest. He didn't save him because he was a hero and that was their job, but because he truly cared for his safety. His eyes widened behind the goggles at the sudden request. The hero stared at the other male, surprised at being asked to hangout.

Shield needed to think this through for a moment. There were already people who saw them hugging, in a platonic way of course, and assumes that they're more than just 'buddies'. It would most likely be in tomorrow's paper, if not today's. For a minute, he was arguing with himself about this before the answer slipped out without his consent. "Sure." His body stiffened, biting his bottom lip and rubbing the back of his neck. "I can't really leave a lone considering you'll probably do another suicide mission," he quickly added, trying to play cool. Act nonchalant, like this situation didn't feel like he was being asked on a date. And it wasn't! Just, a friend asking another friend to come over. And said friend so happens to be cute. Okay, adorable.

Trying to hide his internal war with himself, he ruffled the Toshi's hair. Giving him a beaming smile. He wondered why the guy wasn't really looking at him. Was he just as embarrassed about this as him? Seemed likely, but he wasn't going to ask. It would make it worse, a lot worse. "Let's get out of the cold then." The hero said, waiting for the other to lead the way. Because if he did, it would seem a little like he was a stalker. So, maybe he remembered exactly where the guy's condo was. It wasn't weird or creepy, right? God, it was. And there was no denying it here. He tried to hide his cringe by twitching his nose, making it seem like the cold was getting to him or something.

Hibuki didn't like the momentary silence that came after his question, immediately doubts rose to his mind. He's a super hero, he probably doesn't have the time, or He's a super hero, he doesn't want to come over to some kid who he barely even knows house. However before any more negative thoughts could inflict themselves, he heard the others reply and couldn't keep the relieved smile off of his own face. When he watched Shield lean back and rubbed his neck slightly, he couldn't help but think of how cool the other was, and without even trying to be. Though he had to admit, the hero was right. He'd been at the pit of danger twice now, within two days, he really needed to get himself together before he ended up headless or something. That monster could easily have crushed him in one swift motion, but somehow, knowing that Shield was around was enough to make him easily dismiss the dangers.

His eyes widened slightly when he felt the fingers slip into his hair and ruffle it slightly, there it was again. That warmth. Suddenly, he realized what he liked about Shield so much, why he had looked forward to seeing him, why he had been dissapointed when he went by the shelter and the other was no where to be found, why he felt like he needed to help with that monster, he was warm. Something about the other just let off warmth, safety, security. For a moment, almost a second, he wanted to reach up and take that hand, to feel the warmth between his own two hands. However, a nearby car alarm went off and he jumped, it shocking him back into reality. Taking a step back, like he was trying to get away from the spell this man had on him, he cleared his throat and walked around him.

Carefully sticking his head out of the alley, he glanced to the left and then to the right to make sure no one had managed to follow them. "Alright, looks safe. My house isn't that far from here actually, and the doorman is really nice so i'm sure he won't let anyone know that you are there." Giving a reassuring smile to Shield, he took a step out of the alley, confidently, then promptly slipped on some ice. Yep, nothing changed. Sighing at his own lack of coordination, he made his way towards the large building that his condo was located inside. Silently, he led the other up the stair case, not wanting to risk being seen in the elevator, he couldn't help but laugh a bit, feeling like he did when he was a teenager and sneaking his girlfriends inside. As soon as he made it to his door, he unlocked it and pushed it open to reveal his home. "Go ahead and make yourself comfortable." He said, be fore heading to the kitchen to prepare there drinks.

The smile he got in return from him ruffling his hair made that weird fluttering feeling return in his chest. Heart skipping a beat in a way that made him afraid that he was having some sort of heart attack. But didn't your arm tingle when he was getting one? Or was that something else? The male snapped out of his thoughts when the other stepped back. And again, another feeling went through his chest. It felt like a weird prick in his heart. Seriously, he had to be sick or something. Unless the feeling was-. He immediately stopped that train of thought. There was no way he had a....crush. While yes, Toshi was attractive. With his ocean like eyes and soft raven hair. A smile that was so sweet he wanted to be selfish and only have himself see such a beautiful sight-. Oh God, the hero did have some kind of interest in the guy! He snapped out of his thoughts to follow the other. Worrying his bottom lip between his teeth. He had to think about this logically. He's a superhero, and many heroes have villains. Who will go after the ones they love just to get some type of upper hand.

He needed to clam down. Maybe it's because the guy was his first real friend. Yeah, that was it. He returned the smile that was directed to him when he was told it was safe. About to follow suit when Toshi slipped and fell. Again. Shield sighed, giving the guy an raised eyebrow. He seemed fine, considering he got up like it was nothing and continued his way to his place. As he followed the other male up the stairs, which he hated but tried to hide such a fact, he was completely confused on how to feel. He needed to set some ground rules, for himself. This was platonic, and nothing was going to change that, and he needed to keep said platonic feelings to himself. It was obvious that damsel here didn't feel the same. HE was just nice, so kind hearted and sweet-. He was loosing it again.

When they finally got to the other's place, he politely took off his shoes near the front door. Draping his leather jacket over the back of the couch as he plopped down on the cushions. Letting out a satisfied groan from how soft it was as he buried his face into one of the pillows. Which was painfully and he instantly stopped. He forgot about his goggles. Should he take them off? It's not like the other will know he's really Jun, with the different eye color and all. But should he really risk that with someone he only knew for a day? The hero thinks it was too soon to do so, even if that meant he could relax fully into the pillow that felt like a cloud. This was just awful, to him. Why didn't he choose to be those superheroes who tell people straight up who they are? It would be a lot easier, but then again, a lot more dangerous.

Hibuki had a delima. He was an absolutely horrifific cool. Looking through his cabnet he realized that he had nothing to offer Shield, well nothing that he could make. If he wanted the other to come visit him again, then he had to give him something he would want to come back for. Cheese and crackers were just not going to cut it. Pulling down two mugs, he filled them both with water, then thought better of it and replaced it with milk before picking up the hot chocolete packets. He couldn't be cheap, so using milk to make it creamier was the way to go. Sticking both cups into the microwave, he put it on for 3 minutes before turning back to the fridge. Pushing his sleeves up in determination as he did so, he opened the door and glanced around at what little he had to offer.

It was times like these that he really hated how picky he was, the fridge was practically empty. He had some left over suishi from two days ago when he had gone out with a girl, however that didn't seem fresh enough. Rifling through the stuff in his fridge, he froze. Why the hell was he putting so much thought into this? He was just trying to repay the guy for saving his life twice now, that's it, that is all it was. His eyes widened when he found the container of sticky rice he had set in the fridge the previous morning to set properly. "Yes!" He murmured excitidly, pulling it out and uncovering the bowl. Getting down some cinnimon, he dumped a bit of sugar into a seperate bowl before mixing the cinnimon in it to create a simple cinnimon sugar coating.

Careflly, he balled up the sticky rice before rolling it into the cinnimon sugar and setting it on a nice plate he had found. One that was finished, he checked the tempurature on the hot chocolete. When it was to his liking, he poured the packets in before using his expresso machine to add a bit of latte foam to it. Standing back, he dusted off his hands, now extremely proud of what he had made. A cute little snack and some nice warm drinks, perfect for the weather. Glancing in the hall mirror, he quickly rearranged his hair, making it look a bit messy and bed head-like like he prefered to wear it. Picking up the tray of food and drinks, he carefully carried it to the living room and set it down the the table. The sight of seeing the man relaxed on his couch brought back the familiar flush to his cheeks. For a moment, just a second, he imagined what it would be like to be able to come home and see Shield just lounging out on his couch. For something like this to be normal to him. Taking a seat beside Shield, as close as he could without seeming like he was trying to sit to close, he reached over and went to take his cup. Only to notice a dark, red spot on the inside of one of his hands. Frowning in confusion, he brought his hand to his face to realize it was a large burn mark, that traveled from his palm to half way up his wrist. Looking at the other hand his eyes widened slightly in confusion. "Oh, shit. The damn power line, I didn't even feel anything, I must have gotten a bit of backlash from the shock." He murmured, a bit dejected. He liked having smooth, flawless skin. In fact, it was his favorite quality of himself, but now he had these angry burn marks rearing there ugly heads right in front of his crush. Wait, crush?

Damsel really had a nice looking place. This proved how much of a rich kid he was, but it also proved how caring his parents were. Though overly so in Shield's opinion. He guesses everyone has their own ways of showing they care, even if it was....extreme to a point. Okay really extreme, but he can't judge. If his parents had the many, they would do the same. But that never stopped them before really.

The hero felt his stomach rumble at the smell of food. He hasn't eaten all day, or three. Maybe almost a week. Okay, so maybe he wasn't good at taking care of himself per say. It's been a busy week for him, only having time to eat fruit and sometimes cup noodles. If he was lucky. He slowly sat up, sitting Indian style as he ran his fingers through his messy white hair. He was felling nervous, like it was some kind of date. He pinched himself. Again, platonic, one-sided. He needs to calm the hell down. He was acting like some teenage girl that has crush on someone way out of their league or wasn't even into their gender. He glanced over in time to the other male emerge from the kitchen, only to swallow. Mouth becoming dry. The guy looked like he just woke up with his hair like that, even more so with the soft flush on his cheeks. Shield kept repeating the words 'platonic' over and over again in his head. Trying to calm down and act like the responsible......the hero he was. Moving over to give Toshi some room to sit.

His eyes immediately locked onto the cinnamon covered rice ball. Quickly grabbing it and biting into it. A soft groan bubbling up. This was good, no, delicious!. He took a few more bites of the food, treating it like it was the holy grail of sorts. Only stopping when the other spoke. Looking over to see what the guy was talking about, he was surprised to see a angry burn mark on his skin. He set the almost demolished rice ball down, licking his lips before gently grabbing the other's warm. Tracing his fingers over the scar. "Damn damsel," he started. Eyes fixated on the burn. "You really do need to be more careful." This was proof of how clumsy the other was. A power line? Really?? He continued to touch the marks, feeling heavy hearted from the sight. Why did the other male go so far to help him to begin with? It confused him to no end really. Mixing up his already jumbled emotions even more.

"Does it hurt?" He asked softly, slowly looking up at Toshi. Only to freeze, noticing how close he has gotten. Their knees pressing against each other. His heart started to do aerobics. This was bad, he was really loosing it. This...this had to because he hasn't dated in a couple years. Yeah, that had to be it. Right? It felt like his face was heating up. Please tell him he wasn't blushing, that it was just extremely hot in the condo. This was platonic damn it. Completely- his gaze moved across the other's face.- and utterly, -landing on those lips that tease him so.-....nothing. He bit his bottom lip, snapping his eyes.back to Toshi's. He needs to count to ten. Yeah, that has to work. He hoped. But not even a few seconds later he gave up. He counted to ten numerous times, even backwards and to one hundred at a fast pace. But the spell that he was under, that what he was calling it, was still effecting him. He needs to make a distraction. Or better yet, let go of his damn arm.

You know, terribly hard decision making here.

Hibuki frowned slightly at the mark, it really didn't hurt much unless it was touched. If anything it was more uncomfortable because now that he noticed it, he felt a steady heat from the burns. Only now did he realize he really could have died when he picked up that power line, that was stupid, so stupid. If he died, then Shield would have blamed himself, and that wasn't something he wanted to burden the other with. Plus, his parents would cry, he was there pride and joy, his family had always been close. Then Ryan and Maria would have freaked out too, and the cat he had just picked up the day before would be stuck in his house all alone. What if he died and no one thought to come check his place out for a while and it starved or something? That was a thought he didn't even want to consider right now.

Bringing his attention back to shield, only now did he notice the others face, and his breath caught in his throat. Hibuki hated bright lights, so his entire condo was lit up with whit christmas lights that hung from everything. So it was always dim unless he had the lamps on, an with the cloudy weather filtering grey in through the window, it was only making it dimmer. In this light, the small lights were illuminating the others face beautifully, he looked so ethereal. For the first time, Hibuki really wanted to know what was behind those goggles. The others finger tips were light and soft against his skin, and despite the pressure hurting against the burn, he found himself not wanting Shield to let go of him. His next movement was automatic.

His hands reached up slowly, at first he meant to push the others goggles off, but then something else happened. His hands reached up and cupped the others face on either side, his eyes slide shut slowly as he leaned forward the short distance and pressed his lips to Shields. It was no secret, well to his friends at least, the Hibuki had some serious issues. He would date around a lot, but break it off before ever getting to close to the person, most of the time he would not even kiss them. So the fact that he had just leaned in and kissed a super hero, a man for that matter, shocked even him. Catching himself off guard, it took him a moment to pull away, his eyes were wide and his cheeks were absolutely thriving with a red heated blush. "Um, i'm sorry. That just kind of.." He tried to explain but found hismelf at a loss for words, dropping his gaze to the floor, now absolutely terrified to look up.

Shield watched silently as the other male reached for him. Was he going to remove his goggles? He was going to tell him not to, since he has this whole secret identity thing going, when he felt both hands on either side of his face. Making every thought that was present at the time disappear instantly. What....what was this feeling? This feeling of excitement and curiosity mixed into one. With slight anticipation. But he soon figured it out, when soft lips pressed against his own. Whole body going stiff as something burst inside of him. It felt bigger than fireworks, causing his heart to go insane. Beating at a unhealthy speed. However, it was too short for the hero's liking. He opened his eyes, (when did he even close them?), only to have his breath caught in his throat from the sight in frong of him. Wide eyes, a flustered face, Toshi was going to kill him without even trying.

Was...was he really being shy? His heart clenched at the fact. Damn it. "You're not playing fair," he hissed out. It sounded childish, but the hero didn't care. Tge guy was.being unfair here. Effecting him in a way without even lifting a finger or even trying. Lifting the other's head up, he pressed their lips together again. Wanting more of that warm exploding feeling. He didn't care what it was called, all he knows is that he needed it. ASAP. Not even a few seconds later, he moved his lips against Toshi's in a slow, burning kiss. Keeping one of his hands under the other male's chin and moving the other to his waist. But not trying to push his luck. This was really a reverse of what he expected or read in comics. It was always the secret identity side that had the lover, not the hero.

Shield knew if he kept going, he would do something really, really stupid. But...it was just a kiss. It's not like anything extreme was going to happen or anything. Right? He slowly removed the hand that was holding the other's chin up, moving it the other side of his waist. Just keeping them in place so that he wouldn't go any farther. This plan has to work, if it didn't he really had no control over his desires then. Which, superheroes are suppose to have when dealing with a villain of the opposite sex. But...this wasn't a villain, nor was the guy a girl. Which is a plus. It was getting harder and harder for him to stop. His mind slowly leaving him. So, with a lot of reluctance, he broke the kiss. Panting heavily from just a simple gesture. How can something so small effect him like this? Maybe it's because he was doing this with damsel.

Toshihiro was absolutely floored, why on earth had he just done that? The man was a super hero for god sakes, even if he was into guys like that, there was no way he was going to be interested in any kind of relationship with just some common kid. Still, he found that no matter how emberrresed he was, he didn't regret what he did. Even if he never got to do that again, even if Shield stood up, slapped him and stormed out, he didn't regret it. It had felt amazing, despite the cold, frosty weather they had both endured his lips were so soft and inviting. He thought back to the time he had looked up to see Shield in the tree, smiling down at him, an realized that even then, at that time, he had wanted to press his lips to the super heros.

He tensed slightly at shields words, unsure of where they came from. "Unfair?" He repeated softly, completely confused. Before he could question the other though, his felt the warm finger tilt his chin up. A sudden intake of breath, then Shields lips were pressed to his own. Somehow, this shocked him more than when he had initiated the kiss. Because this was the second time, meaning Shield not only wasn't rejecting him, but he was coming back. Once again he closed his eyes, his head tilting slightly so that he could deepen the kiss. He felt Shields hand slipping down to his waste, and found himself shifting closer to the other. His own hands which had previously dropped were now lightly grasping the heros shirt, almost like he was holding onto it to keep him grounded in reality.

As soon as he felt the kiss break, he was relieved and heart broken all at the same time. He wanted to continue the kiss, it felt amazing, to make it deeper, he wanted to bake Shield breathless. However at the same time, he was not caught up with worry as to what exactly just happened. Did Shield have some kind of feelings like that for him? The mere idea of that seemed completely impossible, yet here they stood, well sat. What made everything worse, was that he had made the first move, so if nothing came out of it then that was going to mean for this first time in his life, he would be rejected by someone he had genuine feelings for. Reaching out, he took hold of his mug again and sipped it silently, completely mortified to even utter a word. "So...should we pretend that did not happen? Or?" He murmured softly, keeping his eyes trained on the foam in his cup, unwilling to faze Shields gaze right now.

The hero was on cloud nine at the moment, heart doing flips and mind numb. The other had kissed him back. And that, was a win in his book. He felt warm all over, wanting to say something but not knowing what. He was that far gone on that simple kiss. But he was lost on something else as well, he was hoping. Hoping that Toshi really did feel the same, even if it was just a slight interest. Shield stopped believing in love a long time ago. Since something that's suppose to considered so wonderful tore him apart. And yet here he was, watching silently as the other sipped at his hot chocolate. He was planning on say something, anything really. Maybe even ask him the one question that was eating away at him, until the guy beat him to it.

That cloud nine feeling instantly disappeared. No longer did he feel like he was floating, but quickly falling back to Earth. Crashing and burning on reality on the way. Why did he think he wanted to pretend nothing happened? Unless-. Oh, he really was stupid to hope. His body stiffened, no longer feeling that wonderful warm feeling. His chest feeling empty. He clenched his hands into fists. Why did he even let himself go so far with this one-sided interest? Hell, why did he even continue the kiss to begin with? It was a risky, and horrible idea. But...damsel kissed.him back, which still confuses him. Don't tell him the other male only did so because he felt obligated to? Damn it. The hero moved back, giving Toshi some space. But it was also for himself, he felt rejected and horrible at the same time. He never knew he can feel those teo kind of feelings at once before.

"If that's what you want," he forced out. Voice no longer having that carefree attitude or soft undertone. Sounding harsh and cold among other things. He stood up,grabbing his jacket that was thrown across the back of the couch. Wanting to escape, to stop himself from looking more like a fool. With rushed and rigid movements, he put his jacket on. Grinding his teeth together. "Thanks for the snack. It was really kind of you." He only stood there for a few seconds before walking off. Shoulders hunched forward as he headed towards the door. He really was something. Acting emotionally detached to someone who just wanted to be friends and wouldn't return his feelings in this life or the next. He rubbed at his chest. The empty feeling now getting worse. Sharp pricks adding to it. The hero needed to stop acting like this, to get rid of these feelings once and for all. He really needed to start listening to his own personal rules as well.

Toshi's eyes widened slightly at the tone in the others voice, he knew it. Shield was mad, he should never have done that, he should never have kissed him. He had invited the hero over so that he could properly thank him, and he had completely ruined it. He was stupid to think someone like Shield would ever want something like that from someone like Toshi. He was just a normal, whole in the wall reporter, the man certainly had his own private life. For all Toshi knew he was married, or even had a kid. Glancing down at the mug in his hand, he watched with hooded eyes as the steam rose up from it. He didn't move until he heard the front door shut, knowing the other had left. Bringing his attention over to the plate, he saw the particallly eaten rice ball, and untouched cup of hot chocolete.

Reaching down, he picked up the small ball and looked at it between his fingers. I put in so much effort. He murmured softly to himself before letting the ball roll off his palm and onto the floor. Setting his own cup down as well, he closed his eyes and let himself fall to the side to land with a face full of couch pillow. However he stopped when he stopped when he felt something wet beneath his face. Propping himself up slightly, he touched his cheeks with his finger tips and his eyes widened slightly. He was crying? The devices that had been set up in his house the previous night were still transmitting, and a dark figure on the other end let out a slow, maniacle grin. "Have a fight with your boyfriend, shield?" Now was the time to strike, when Shield was clearly not going to be himself.

The man pushed himself up from his desk and made his way over to his associates who were currently sitting around a large table playing poker. "My good men, I believe it is time we strike." A man with a bright red band ana and dark black hair looked up at his boss, takign the cigarett from his mouth and tapping it in the ash tray before responding. "I heard, you want me to go?" He asked, already pushing himself up from the table. The boss nodded, handing him a gun. "Becareful, take that kid as a distraction, but do your best not to kill him. If anything goes aray then we'll have to use him as bait or something next time." The bandana guy nodded before taking the gun and heading out of the door, a wide grin spreading over his face.

Shield was walking down the cold street, hands in his pockets and face impassive. He did his best not to anyone, especially his fans. The hero wasn't in any mood to talk, or do anything really. Not after what just happened at his crush's(?) condo. He was rejected, even if the other kissed him first. And that still confuses him. Why would the other male lead him on like that? Even if he was denying the fact that the guy would actually do something so heartless, but it was the only solution that mad sense to him. He turned down an alleyway, stopping when he was completely hidden in the dark. This was stupid, why was he being for over dramatic? He knew the other didn't feel the same, and yet, it still hurt. Groaning loudly in frustration, he backed himself up against a wall. Sliding down until he was sitting on the dirty ground.

The hero needs to get it together. He can't be emotionally disabled while he's in uniform. It can get someone killed if some more trouble arises. He sat there for a few minutes, tugging at his hair. Even if he told himself to get over, that he was an adult now and shouldn't let such emotions take over him like this, his thoughts were still filled with Toshi. His smile, laughter, kindness, everything. All the way to when they kissed. The feeling of the other's lips against his sent his mind and heart into a frenzy. The male was really loosing it. Sighing , he stood up. Walking down the alley to go back to campus. So what if he was going to bury himself under the covers and most likely listen to depressing love songs. He was going to get rid of this interest.

Even if it means acting a stereotypical love-sick teenager. The snow began to slowly fall again, just like the day he met damsel. Well, officially met him. It's like life was rubbing salt into the wound, making him feel more like crap. You see, love betrayed the hero once before. Adding to the many reason he left home to go 'find himself'. So much has happened in the time he was in high school that he had to run away from it all. Not caring if it meant leaving his family behind, whom he hasn't talked to for almost a year now. In a way, he was being selfish. But he saw it being less of a burden to them more than anything else. They can live without him, he thought. Going back to love being his long life enemy, that's why it was his first rule when he became a hero. Nothing good comes from falling in love or having interest in someone who could potentially be used as a pawn. Or stab you in the back.

He had enough of that already.

Minhao grinned wide as he felt the gun in his back pocket, he was a villian, it was not like he needed a gun. Still, he could at least have some fun with it. His boss wanted him to basically use the kid as a human shield, knowing the hero wouldn't risk hurting him. But that isn't how Minhao was going to do it, he was bigger than that, better than that. He didn't need some snot nosed brat to win in a fight. Still, with the gun in his back waste band, he was slowly making his way up the stairs that led to Toshi's condo. He had other plans, he was going to enjoy himself. With a big smile on his face, he reached up and knocked on the door, "Excuse me? Toshihiro right?" He called out, hearing shifting from the other side of the door, his smile only widened as a red eyed kid opened the door.

He was probably going to feel bad for this later, but you did what you had to do. Reaching out, he pushed the door open as he slide the gun free of his waste. Toshi's eyes went wide as the gun was pointed directly at him, stumbling back slightly he fell to the ground. He hadn't even hesitated when he rushed to help with the monster earlier, but now he was absolutely shaking. Minhao reached behind himself and lightly pushed the door shut. "So, there is no need to worry i'm just here for a chat." Toshi didn't move, didn't even blink. This really was the day from hell. He watched the man lean against the wall, the gun trained on him the entire time. He was silent as Minhao parted his lips and began to explain, "I just want to give you a buisness opportnty my boy. Shield, that guy, let's be real he's a real dick. You know? I have this gun, as you can see. I'm going to make you a deal good for today only! If you can put a bullet into the guy, then i'll let you and your friends live. How does that sound?" His voice was light and pleasant as he watched the frozen boy.

Glancing down at his watch he let out and annoyed tsk sound before turning to leave. "I'm on my way to meet him now, so it's probably your best opportunity to do it now. Wouldn't want mom or dad to get hurt, would we?" With one last grin, he tossed the gun to the ground beside Toshi before opening the door and shutting it behidn him, like it was nothing. The bullets were incased in a radioactive iron, so Minhao was hoping they would make it through the heros exoskeleton. Toshi looked down at the gun, reaching down he picked it up. It felt heavier than he thought it would, it was cold in grip. What will I do. He was horrified, he couldn't kill someone, but if someone hurt his parents he couldn't handle that either. Grabbing his bag, he tossed the gun inside before stepping out of his door and taking off towards the entrance. He had to find Shield, he knew what he had to do. Damn, why couldn't that guy just have a phone number!

It only took Minhao about 10 minutes to locate the hero. He stepped into the mouth of the alley, a huge grin on his face. "Sulking in an alley because you got rejected? Oh, come on, isn't that above the morals of a super hero?" He called out stepping out, sliding his hands out of his pockets, they ignited into flame, as he held two green fire balls in his hands. "I know you are tired from your long day, but care to play with me for a bit, hero?"

Shield glanced up with a bored expression when someone calling his name. Not even flinching at the sight of the flames that engulfed the other's hands. "And how would you know," he asked in a neutral tone. He didn't need this guy rubbing it in his face. Well, at least he had something to do to distract him from said rejection. Sighing, he stood up. Standing in front of the villain with not a care in the world. Tilting his head to the side, the exoskeleton appeared but only around his hands. "Fine. I guess I'll humor you for the time being." Though it seems the other didn't like the way he was talking to him. Throwing a fire ball near his head which he barley missed. Someone was mad he guessed. "Are you just going to keep talking or fight," the thug said in an irritated voice.

Cracking his neck, he made the armor on his hands turn into spikes. And without talking, he charged at him throwing a punch the man dodged. Causing him to smash a hole into the alley wall. Bits and pieces of brick falling to the ground. The villain smiled in excitement at how powerful the other's ability was. "Now you're being unfair. Don't you agree?" He said, wanting to push the hero's buttons. And it worked. Shield sneered at the man. The words hitting hard. What the hell? It's not like the guy knew what happened the condo-. Shit. Kicking himself off a nearby trash bin to get some air, he jumped towards the thug. Hands turning into the heads of sledgehammers. But again, the guy dodged the attack. He was fast, too fast. He knew about him and Toshi. But how? How did he know? The hero turned around only to have to suddenly put the rest of his exoskeleton up when flames started to come at him without stopping. Crossing his arms in front of him to at least protect his face.

Taking a few steps back, this guy wasn't letting up. If this keeps up he was going to be cornered. Taking a deep breath, he deiced to do something risky. Quickly, he moved from the fire that was being blasted at him. Getting the arm of his armor burned. Hissing in pain, he sprinted. Charging at the man. This time, he was able to kick him down. Though this guy was persistent, frustratingly so. Bouncing back up, the villain once again ignited his hands into emerald flames. Throwing punches at the hero. He blocked and returned each attack. But not one of them was able to get a hit on the other. Going at if for a long time, which was about a few minutes. Completely destroying the alley they were in. Some trash were on fire, the wall filled with holes and the ground covered with broken fragments from the walls.

Shield's energy was slowly getting drained. And it showed as the exoskeleton either flickered or turned red. Though he was lucky he wasn't using a huge amount of his power, but he still getting tired. After using his ability earlier that day, he was exhausted from just using the hands of his armor. But if guy wasn't going to stop, and knew about Toshi, then he wasn't going to stop either.

Toshi's feet his the pavement, one after the other as he sped down the street. He had absolutely no idea where they were, if the man was attacking Shield, then he had to do something, but what? He had a gun, if he shot shield, would he die? Would his family and friends be alright? He saw Ryan in his mind, he remembered back when he had been sick, the other had brought over tea and some soup and they two had laid in bed all day, watching bad reruns of old t.v. shows. The time he got in a fight with one of his girlfriends, Maria had come over and let him cry to her. He remembered back when he was first learning how to ride a bike, he had fallen off and started to absolutely sob. His father was not a man of many words, he had simply come over, picked his son up by the scruff of his shirt and set him back on his feet before ruffling the little boys hair. "You did good Toshi, you did good."

He remembered his mother, standing infront of the oven, waiting for the cookies she had made to finish. She had noticed that one dough ball had been taken from the rack when she wasn't looking, she had known that Toshi had snuck one. But still, as soon as they were finished cooking, she had still sat him down and let him pick which ever one he wanted. His family, his friends, he loved them all so dearly. But even Shield, he remebered, looking up so see him in that tree. His face so soft, smile so warm, and he knew instantly what he had to do. His parents had raised him to be someone he was proud of, and that is exactly why he decided to do what he needed to. Stopping in his tracks, he looked around for something, anything, that could help him find Shield.

Closing his eyes, he listened, focusing as hard as he could. There, swiveling around, he heard some kind of crash from the alley he had already run past. He dashed forward ward just as he saw Shield cover his face from an array of attacks. His eyes widened when he saw Minhao reaching behind himself, he must have had another gun. If he used it on Shield and it went through that exoskeleton, he could die. He didn't even think, just reacted. Pulling the gun from his back, he raised it, and shot. Minhao's eyes went wide as he looked down at his chest, a huge, splatter of blood was now running across it. Stumbling slightly, the villian slid to the ground, clutching at his chest. Coughing out a bit of blood as he did, he looked straight at Toshi, "They said I should use you, but you were innocent...I wanted to give you a chance, to live, to get out of this...but now..." He coughed harshly, once more, "Your dead, they'll make sure of it. Hero's bring nothing but pain, you should know that..." He finished before falling face first into the snow, all moving and breathing seized. Leaving a wide eyed Toshi standing there, the gun still raised, he was frozen. He'd just killed a man.

The hero was about to attack again, which he was sure will be his last, when a loud bang rang throughout the alleyway. Eyes widening at the gapping hole in the other's chest. He followed the gaze where the villain's was pointed, only to almost fall over form what he saw. What was Toshi doing here? Looking down, he noticed the gun. Where did he get that from?? He listened to the man's last words, about how heroes brought nothing but pain. And was it wrong that Shield agreed in some twisted way? But not heroes exactly, but people period. Hero or villain.

He turned his full attention over at the other male, slowly making his way towards him. His armor disappearing, to his relief. He looked scared, petrified. He was still holding the gun as well. "Damsel?" Shield called out, still keeping a safe distance from the other male. He was only two feet away from the other, no knowing if he should get closer or risk getting shot. What was he thinking, the guy wouldn't shoot him. But he shot this man without a thought, provided his conscious. However, that was different. He was just trying to protect him from the guy. It's not like Toshi is bloodthirsty, he was similar to a extremely curious cuddly animal. In the hero's opinion.

With slight hesitation, he put his hand over the gun. Making the other male lower. "It's okay. Everything's fine." He reassured the other, moving his other hand to rest it on his shoulder. Everything will be fine, it was over. At the moment. At the thug's last words, there was more to come. But how many? Was he ever going to get some kind of rest? This has been happening for week now, bad guys have to at least take off days. Moving the gun completely out of the way, he held the other close to his side. His left arm wrapped around his waist in a comforting gesture. The hero almost slipped up and called the other by his name before quickly correcting himself. "To- to be honest, that was really a badass move you pulled there," he said, quickly covering up his mistake. So he wasn't that good at doing so, not his fault. Blame genetics.

Toshi couldn't feel anything, his hands reacted on there own. Reaching up he took hold of the other and burried his face against the mans chest. He'd been rejected, he knew that, so for all he knew this was going to be the lsat time he got to even touch the hero. He reveled in the warmth that seemed to roll off the other, he felt safe, taken care of, despite how upset he was about it, he almost felt special just because he got to touch the other. Smiling softly, he kept his face in Shields chest, honestly afraid to let him go at this point. The moment he thought the other was in trouble, his body had just reacted, he had taken off, with no kind of direction or plan.

Now, here he stood, having just shot another person, and all he cared about, was the fact that Shield was okay. He was okay, wasn't he? Taking a step back hesitantly, he make sure to look the hero up and down for any signs of blood or any broken bones. Letting out a content sigh when he found none, he simply leaned back against Shields chest and let out a long breath. This damn hero was going to be the death of him with all this extra stress, well at least he didn't have work or school that he was missing because of this. Glancing up at the other he knew he had to try one more time, just one. If he let Shield walk away now, the probablity of ever seeing him again aside from in the paper on t.v. was slim to none and that was something he just was not ready to except. He barely even know the guy, but there was some kind of magnetic attraction he felt around the other, something that was more a need than just a simple desire.

Even if it was one last time, he needed to just try. Pushing himself up lightly on his toes, he wrapped his hands around the others neck and brought his lips to shields once more. This time, it was not a soft, hesitant kiss that he brought forward, there was something almost desperate in it, like this was his last shot. He needed to make the other want him in the way that he wanted the hero. He knew he liked the guy, but he had absolutely no idea how much until he was faced with the possibility of not getting to see the man again. He deepened the kiss slightly and let his eyes close, now to afraid to open them and see the fact that the other male was making at him. What if he was upset, or disgusted that Toshi was doing this again? It was a risk he had to take.
