Toshi couldn't help but laugh at the other, his neck was definitely sensitive, so he was glad that Shield had his face in it. This way he couldn't see the bright shade of red Toshi turned when he felt the kiss on it. Smiling softly, he slid his fingers out of the soft, white hair so that he could gently wrap his arms around the others head. Hugging it to himself softly, before kissing Shields forehead gently. He was going to slow down, he didn't want this to just be a fling. Toshi decided, in that one, soft moment, that he was going to make this hero, his hero, fall in love with him. He leaned his head down slightly, resting it ontop of the hero's soft white hair and closed it eyes. Letting out a content sigh as he did. A tease? Possibily, but right now he didn't particularly care, he just wanted to make Shield feel as good as he did when he was with him. Yawning softly, he loosened his grip slightly before letting his head fall from the others, to the mans shoulder as well, his eyes remaining closed. He hadn't been sleeping well, and he'd had a very long day, but hadn't gotten the chance to stop moving and relax. So only now did he realize how exghausted he was. "Hey, can I crash here?" He murmured into the others neck, though it was only late afternoon. However, the reporter didn't wait for the answer. His already lightly grip loosened completely and he went limp against the hero, breathing out softly, contently asleep.

Shield noticed the laugh the other let out, so his neck was that sensitive? For some reason, he wanted to remember that fact. Stopping the kisses he was planting against the other's skin, he let out a content sigh. He felt really comfortable with the other in his lap and arms, body relaxing completely when the other male laid his head on top of his. Now that the hero had him, he wasn't going to let him go anytime soon. Well, not all really. This feeling that he has for Toshi seems to surpass one you would feel for a crush. Maybe because this guy was a special case. He was going to say something at the other's question, going to say that it might not be that good of an idea, when his body went limp. Surprised, he laid damsel on the bed, looking at him with an expression of disbelief before laughing. Covering his mouth to mute it. He must've have been really tired.

Shaking his head, Shield took of his jacket. Throwing it on his computer chair and removing his goggles, setting those gently on the floor. Grey eyes looked over at Toshi who was fast asleep, wondering how long since the guy actually slept. With a smile, he laid down next to him, pulling the other close so he wouldn't fall off the edge of the bed. That would probably end with the hero waking up with the other male hitting him. He didn't go straight to sleep, admiring the innocent look on Toshi's face as he slept. He wished that maybe they could this more often.

"Goodnight Toshi," Shield said in a soft mumble. Kissing the top of the other's head before closing his eyes, sleep catching up with him quickly.

Toshi sat on the bench, the coffee in his hands steaming in the cold winter air. Snow was already covering the ground, and more was currently falling from the sky. He sat back, tilting his head down so his scarf would cover his freezing lips, hoping to at least keep the wind chill off of them. A small, sniffling girl sat next to him. She wore stripped, pink gloved with a large purple coat and reagular jeans. He felt bad for having met her here, when she was probably freezing, but i was better here than at his place, or even worse, hers. This was always the hardest part of relationships, when they needed to end. "It was really fun, but you don't deserve someone who doesn't feel the same for you that you do for them." His voice was soft, apologetic even as he reguarded the clearly upset girl. She nodded lightly before pushing herself off the bench, turning around she extended her hand to Toshi, who just looked at it shocked. "Thank you for everything, Toshi."

Toshi let out a low groan, damn, his neck was killing him. Did he manage to fall asleep on the couch again? Shifting slightly to try and lul himself back to sleep, he stopped. It was extremely warm, but not to hot, he knew this warmth. Sleepily his eyes opened and he found himself next to..a man? His eyes widened at the white hair, wait, Shield? Oh, the goggles were gone! That is why he had looked so different, Toshi was actually getting to look at the males bare face. Shifting slightly, he smiled at the sleeping hero. Saving the city all the time really had to be exghausting. Reaching up, he gingerly brushed a strand of hair out of Shields face. Tracing his fingers down the others jaw line, then over his slightly parted lips. There was no doubt about it, this guy was beautiful.

Somehow though, the face seemed familiar to him, like he had seen someone else with a similar facial structure. Frowning softly, he glanced around the small room, he let out a long yawn. Had he been asleep for a few hours? Shifting slightly, careful not to wake up the other, he glanced at his watch and his eyes widened. It was morning? How was that even possible? He had not only slept through the night, but yesterday afternoon as well?! Shit, what if he missed class! Very carefully he pushed himself off the bed, trying not to wake the other. All but throwing his shoes on, he reached for the door and through it open, dashing into the hall way where his eyes went wide.

This was not an apartment like he had thought, he recognized the color scheme and mascot imprinted into the carpet. This was a dormitory, and not just any dormitory, the one for his university.

Jun was standing in front of a man who was a little older than him, but only by a year. The sun shining brightly as they stood in the park. And yet, cool wind was blowing lightly. Though it didn't bother his hair since it was a lot shorter. The wind caressed the male's skin. The guy in front of him had a neutral expression on his face, while he was smiling from ear to ear. "We need to stop this," the man said. The smile on the male's face disappeared. He didn't say a word as the other continued, "I was just playing around with you. And you actually believed i felt the same. How pathetic." Something tore in Jun's chest, his body stiffening. No, this had to be a joke, right? A cruel, sick joke that the other was playing. "You actually thought i was into men? I'm not a fag unlike you." No, he didn't want to hear anymore. No more. The shining sun soon disappeared, the cheert atmosphere going with it. "You're really a needy, lonely guy aren't you?" The voice slowly turned, and the male was surprised to see the man turn into Toshi. Wide eyed and confused, he tried to rush towards the other. Only to be swallowed up by darkness.

He woke up with a jolt, panting softly as he looked around the room. Eyes wide and alert. After a moment of trying to regain his composure, he sat up and rubbed at his face. It was just a dream, though it was realistic in some sense, it was all in his head. But that didn't stop him from being just a little insecure. He reached out his hand to see if the other was awake only to feel an empty spot. What? Looking over, he saw that Toshi was gone, and panicked. Did something happen when he was asleep? Did he repeat everything that happened in his god awful dream out loud? The male looked around and spotted the clock on his desk. It was morning? He slept that long?? Wait, he was late!! Jumping off the bed, he rushed to get some clothes on. Tripping abdominal bumping into things the whole time.

After a few minutes, he had his disguise on, plus minor injuries from trying to rush. A black hoodie with a stop sign on the front and light blue skinny jeans being his new attire. Gone was the superhero Shield, and now stood your average animal loving college student Jun. Grabbing his messenger bag, he rushed out the door and down the corridors at top speed. How the hell did he sleep in? And more importantly, almost the whole day yesterday? As he rushed through the halls, he couldn't help but wonder where Toshi went. He came to a screeching halt, standing there with a scared expression. The guy must've saw the building when he left. He knows he goes here ! He tugged at the wig, but not too hard, and groaned loudly in frustration. Some students passing him giving the male a weirded out expression.

How can this get worse? Okay, so damsel doesn't know who he was exactly. But he niw has more evidence and is probably going to use it to try and find him.

Great. He continued his way to class at a sluggish pace, opening the door to the room with a defeated look. Just...great.

Toshi completely forgot about class, at this point he was just wondering through the campus wide eyed. So the famous super hero, was a student here? What if they had actually met before, and he had no idea? What if he had actually been mean to the guy on accident, and never known? For all he knew, he had the damn kid in his class and had made a fool out of himself at some point? Wait, class?Shield took classes on top of being a super hero? How the hell did the guy have that kind of time? Did he ever even sleep? He had meant to return to the guys room after walking aroudn a bit, but managed to forget which one it was. Well on the bright side for Shield, at least that meant that he couldn't look up who the other was on the room directory.

It had been about 6 hours since he woke up here, he'd gotten a coffee and was now sitting against the stairs in the inner building, not ready to go home yet. He found himself wondering what Shield was doing, was he still laying sprawled out in the bed? If there was a bright side, he'd gotten to see the other male asleep, and damn he was certainly a beauty. Tokki's flash flushed at the memory of waking up so close to his hero. Yes, his hero. They were together now, right? Just that idea helped him calm down a bit, his shoulders slackening slightly. There was a huge commotion up from, as people began to gather around the t.v. that usually displayed the news. He glanced up at it, and saw a women, straining his ears, he listened for the report.

"It seems that challenge has been sent out for the newest hero. It is said he goes buy Shield now. 10 people in this city have been marked at random. If they have been marked, then they have to die by tomorrow night. If they are still alive by midnight, tomorrow night, then 20 large explosions will go ott, and thousands of innocent people will die. If shield is seen getting in the way at all, then the bombs will go off automatically. If you suspect you may have been marked, please go to the nearest police station immediately! Our officers are doing everything they can to locate the bombs, but the mayor has asked, Shield, wherever you are, please let the city officials handle this. " Toshi's eyes went wide, and he all but had to jump out of the way to avoid getting trampled as everyone made a made dash for the bathrooms to check themselves out.

Toshi felt numb, who the hell would put a burden like that on Shield's shoulders? Why would anyone do that? Shield was a good guy, a rage was building up inside Toshi. However he froze, the words the thug earlier had spoken ran through his head. Wait, there was no way, right? Pushing himself up off the ground where he was sitting, he began to numbly walk back to his place, completely silent. There was no way he was marked, he hadn't given anyone the chance to do anything like that, right? He'd been near shield most of the time they had met anyway. But then he remembered the sudden soreness in his neck, and his entire body went cold. Everyone seemed pretty calm on the streets as well, most were probably assuming it was all some joke, but Toshi knew better.

Once he had it to his condo, he pushed open the door, to be welcomed by a mewling cat who he still hadn't named. Walking straight past her, without even removing his shoes, he made for his bathroom where he stood in front of the mirror and began to pull off his jacket, leaning forward, he used his phones reflection to look at his upper neck in the mirror. There it was, a black smiley face, something he had never put on his body but was there anyway. So he was marked. If he was still alive by tomorrow night, thousands were going to die. First things first, he couldn't let Shield find out. If he did, he might try to interfer, he was a good guy, Toshi knew he wasn't going to just let him die. Reaching into the drawer he pulled out some cover up, yes, he owned cover up, and began covering the small face up.

It took a good twenty minutes to do properly, but once he was contend with it, he pulled his jacket back on and headed for the door. He needed to find Shield, they were going on a fucking date if the hero liked it or not. Toshi knew he was probably being irrational, but right now, he was scared and he needed Shield, no, he needed his boyfriend.

Jun was walking out of the lecture hall with his pride no longer intake and his ear really red. The professor tore him a new one, pulling his ear and treating him like a child. It was humiliating, plus, the class saw it as being the most amusing thing they've ever seen their whole lives. He frowned. Sadistic jerks, the whole lot of them. It wasn't his fault that this was the tenth time he was late! However, if not like he can actually tell them why exactly. Coming into class saying; 'Oh i'm sorry teach, i stayed up late last night and couldn't get any sleep because a giant monster was terrorizing the town. So, as the hero i am, i went down there to save the city and protect the people in it. Including you. You're welcome.' That does seem tempting to say, but again, secret identity. If people knew who he was, then he would have villains trying to assassinate him almost every night.

He could've also told his professor that he scored a boyfriend and slept all afternoon yesterday until today. On the other hand, that sounded....wrong. Sighing, he continued to walk down the corridors. Trying to bury his head as much as possible into his hoodie, to be as similar to a turtle as possible. Putting his dilemma he had in class, there was still the problem with Toshi. There was a huge possibility that the guy knows where he lives, and that they go to the same damn school. How was he going to explain that to him when they meet again? Did the other feel betrayed? But he does understand why he can't tell anyone who he really his, right? Jun put his hands in the pockets of his hoodie, not really noticing the students rushing to the nearest t.v. It was probably something else, a storm warning mosr likely. Though he stopped when he heard his name, well, his other name.

And what he heard, made his blood boil and fear prick at the inside of his chest. He couldn't intervene because these assholes were one step ahead of him. He stood there, body rigid, even as the crowd of people ran around trying to see if they were chosen. For the first time in his hero career, he felt useless. If he didn't try and stop it, ten people would die, if he did, thousands will. What if it was a trick and everyone dies? He sat in the now empty lounge with his heas in his hands, feeling scared and hopeless. Were they that determined to kill people? Or hit him so hard that he quits? Jun didn't know, he stayed there for a good twenty minutes before jumping up and walking out of the lounge at a fast pace. He needed to think, maybe come up with a plan of action. But each one he came up with still ended with someone dying. This was just great, wasn't it? A superhero, sworn to serve and protect, couldn't do so without getting innocent people killed.

As he walked, he didn't see where he was goinh. Just walking in a random direction. Hell, he didn't even know he was off campus and in the city. And he really should pay attention to where he's going, because he bumped right into someone. And it wasn't a stranger. "Crap! Sorry i-." It was Toshi. Fuck.

Toshi had made himself stop, and was currently leaning against the wall of a coffee shop, trying to compose himself. What was he going to do? Run crying to Shield, tell him he was scared and needed a hero? No, not this time. Shield was always trying to protect everyone else, and this time if he tried to help, he was going end up killed, or others were. He slide down and put his face in his hands, trying to calm down. It's going be okay, he was going to figure something out, he would. He felt a hand on his shoulder and jumped slightly, looking up to see a worried Ryan looking down at him. "Toshi? What's wrong? You look like you're going to cry?" Of course i'm going to cry, I finally get the guy I like and then something like this happens.

He thought to himself, but shook his head to clear it, pushing himself up he rubbed his face before running a hand through his messy hair and nodded slowly. "Yeah, I was just worrying over nothing. " He started, but stopped when a loud growl rumbled from his stomach, only now did he realize how long it had been siince he had eaten solid food. The last thing he made was those rice balls, and so much had happened that he never even ate one. In fact, he hadn't eaten since the morning of the robot incident. "Did you want to go get some food? You don't look so good Tosh," Toshi couldn't help but smile at the other, leaning forward he wrapped his arms around Ryan and hugged him tightly. "No, I'll get something on the way. I need to go find someone, can I call you later?" He replied, letting go of the other and already walking around him.

He stopped by the second coffee shop he found and ordered a Dolce De Leche coffee before turning back towards the university. Right, for now, all he knew was that he needed to find Shield, nothing else mattered. Holding the warm cup between his hands for warm, he crunched through the snow. However about a block away from the school, he felt something bump into him and while he managed to stay up right, however the coffee he just had managed to spill over the other. His eyes went wide, "My god! I'm sorry! I am so sorry! That's probably scolding!" He quickly tried to fan off the other though obviously that wasn't going to help. Glancing up, his eyes went wide. For a moment, just a second, he could have sworn it was Shield standing in front of him.

It only took a moment for him to come to his senses and realize that he had just thrown coffee over Jun Soma. "Crap, Jun i'm so sorry! I have extra clothes at my place, want to come change?" He offered, trying to pat the other dry with his gloves still.

Jun was confused for a moment about why the other was panicking, then he felt a slight burning sensation. Hissing through his teeth, he looked down to see coffee spilled all over him. Well, at least it doesn't hurt as much considering he has this whole 'immunity to heat and cold' thing. But still, it stung. "It's....it's fine," he mumbled, he looking down at the ground now avoiding all eye contact. What if Toshi figured out who he was? He didn't want to risk it, he was sure the guy will get mad at him. Since he didn't trust him with his real name and such, even though they're dating. And yes, he saw them as a couple. However, it wasn't fair for him, that his other identity that only comes out when needed gets to also have damsel. Wait, why was he getting jealous of himself? That makes no sense!

His eyes widened when he was asked to come over the other's house to change. Well his hoodie was ruined, and he did want to spend time with the other male. He shook himself of the thought, again, not safe. And technically he wasn't dating the guy, considering Jun and Toshi don't really have a romantic interest for each other. "I don't....think that's a good idea." He said in a soft mutter before back tracking. "I mean, i don't want to intrude." That'll work. Jun needed to get away from hear, not only to avoid getting found out, but also so he can think about what to do about this stupid challenge. He didn't want people to die, but then again, he didn't want to lay around and do nothing. It was an internal war between both his morals, and it was giving him a headache. And making feel useless, with a dash of guilt. Trying to change the subject, or distract the other by asking something else. "You really don't need to dirty your gloves for ne."

The wind wasn't blowing as hard anymore, but it was still a little cold out. And the added coffee spill made him be able to feel just how right he was. Goosebumps started to rise against his skin but he has yet to at least shudder at the freezing feeling that was currently present outside. People weren't outside anymore as well.

He guesses it was because of the whole threat that was going on. Jun thinks that maybe they were spending time with the ones they care about. Family, friends , lovers, anyone special to them really. And it made him wonder why Toshi wasn't doing the same. Unless his family didn't live in the city like his. The male continued to look everywhere but at the other that was patting him down. Then he gently grabbed the other's wrist, moving the other male's hands away from the stain on his clothing. Either way, he still needed to leave and think about what to do. As well as make sure Toshi doesn't know he's Shield. It would be really bad if he did, and that made him feel guilty. Hiding away from the other when he's himself and then holding him in his arms when he's behind a mask.

Toshi didn't notice any of the expressions on the others face, he was to focused on trying to get some of the hot liquid off the other. If anything he could always just bend down and use the snow to cool off the mans skin, the coffee wasn't scolding but it was hot enough to burn Toshi's hands so he could only imagine how the other felt. Frowning slightly at the others remark he shook his head, no, it most certainly was not fine. If he hadn't been in his own little world, then this never would have happened. Yet another reason why he just needed to calm down and relax. Looking down from his own stinky, and slightly red hands from the burn, up to the others clothing he let out another sigh. He really needed to find Shield, though it was not like the hero was just going to be waiting around for him. First thing first, he needed to get the person who he ran into cleaned up.

Raising his hand he waved it around lightly in dismisle, "No no, I am serious. It's no intrusion, I actually need to head home to feed my cat now that I think about it. I insist, seriously." Reaching forward he took a hold of the others wrist and began to lead him back towards his condo. He didn't want to take the man by the hand, the only person whose hand he really wanted to hold was Shields. If he were to see Shield, leading another man, or woman for that matter, by the hand he couldn't imagine it would make him to happy. It may seem childish, but at least he had his morals. He knew it was probably rude to be insisting the other accept his help so much, but he needed to apologize, after tomorrow he might not get another opportunity to. the thought brought a cold pang to his chest and his grip on Jun's wristed tightened slightly.

Jun let out a silent sigh. Not only was Toshi kind, but stubbornly so. The male just wanted to escape and hide himself in the shelter. He wanted to escape because he didn't want the other to find out who he was, and hide because of not being able to help the people of this city this time. He didn't like this feeling of uselessness, it was annoying. He wanted to do something, want to find the bombs and somehow disable them. But he didn't know where to start. This city was huge, having a central, north, and south part. So trying to find out who was targeted and where the bombs are exactly is worse then trying to find a needle in a haystack. He let out another sigh, looking everywhere but at the other. He needs to calm down, he was worrying himself too much. But, he should be worried. This was about other people's lives at stack here. And a superhero who can't protect because it will only cause more casualties.

Jun snapped out of his thoughts when the other spoke, groaning internally. This guys just wasn't going to let him go. Before he could really protest, the other male grabbed his wrist and dragged him towards the other's condo. "W-wait! Toshi!" The male tried to call out but it was too late. Great, he really can't escape now. Why did this always happen to him? When they started to walk the wind picked up again. At least there wasn't snow this time, but the clouds were really dark. Gloomy even. Matching the very mood of the city and Jun. "Toshi," he tried again. Voice somewhat desperate. "It's fine, really. You don't have to do this." The male couldn't help but notice how the other was just holding his wrist. Making his chest feel empty. Did he really not wabt to hold his hand?

Toshi was way to focused on his current task of navigating home to focus on any of the others protests. The simple matter was, he was scared and had no idea how to contact the person he needed. So Jun was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. As they walked, Toshi heard a few people murmuring, "Shield should just put himself forward. If he wants what is best for this city, offer himself as tribute, my son was marked, that is my baby! If Shield steps forward and declares that he will do what they want, then maybe they can spare everyone? What kind of hero is he anyway, to not have made a move yet?" The harsh murmurers were everywhere, and the more Toshi listened the madder he got. Finally, he planted his feet in place and all but yelled across the street at a women who was going on about how this was all somehow Shields fault.

"He has done nothing but protect this city and the first time something goes bad, you are going to turn on him! What kind of support is that!Maybe he really should just let this city go down, this place doesn't deserve him!" His voice was higher than he meant it to be, but he was pretty certain he got his point across. Now red in the face, he turned back towards his condo and resumed dragging the other behind him. Shield was a good person, he knew that if he got the chance he would do whatever it took to save this city, and that really did mean whatever. He wasn't ready to die yet, and he wasn't ready to let the other go yet either. "I have to do this, I spilled coffee on you, I can fix it.This is something....this is something even I can do." He finally replied to the other, he felt so helpless in this situation, he wanted to just lay down and let go. It didn't take long for him to basically power walk up to his condo, and push the door that he had forgotten to lock open since he had ran out last time in search of Shield. Something that seemed to be a habit. "You can go rinse off in the bathroom, I think I have some of my friends old clothes that might fit you." He spoke before heading up to his room to find the extra items.

As they continued there way to Toshi's condo, one being dragged forcefully might he add, Jun started to hear people gossiping about him. Well, the other identity to be exact. And he couldn't help but feel pissed. It's not like it was his fault to some degree. He wants to somehow protect everyone, to sacrifice himself for their safety. But what if showing up counts as interfering and people start to die? There was too many risks for his taste. The male couldn't take the talk anymore, and was about to tell them off, when the other beat him to it. Yelling at them and defending him. And at that moment, he really wished he was Shield. Just so he can kiss the other male and show his appreciation. Instead, a ghost of a smile appeared on his face, his head looking at the ground as they walked. He really was lucky to have him, even if his normal identity has no chance of doing anything lovey dovey with Toshi.

When the other told him he had to do this, the male couldn't help but give in. Sighing softly and staying silent the rest of the walk. It wouldn't hurt to just stop by for a moment, right? Getting inside of the condo, Jun was a little worried that the door wasn't locked. But didn't say anything about. While yes, it wasn't exactly the safest thing to do, scolding damsel wouldn't go so well. Considering that outside of his hero life, they don't know each so well. Despite being on first name basis. He nodded his head, "Okay, i won't take too long." He walked to where he assumed the bathroom was. And was relieved that he was right. As soon as he stepped in and closed the door, he hunched forward and let out a long suffering sigh. Wasn't this a fantastic day today? After a few seconds or so, he began to strip himself of his hoodie and shirt. The stain went all the way through. Great, now he's sticky.

Opening the door just a little, he waited for Toshi.

Toshi made his way up to his guest room where he stored all the extra clothes for any emergency, like this one in particular. He tended to be rather clumsy, who would have guessed, so those around him often ended up covered in food or drinks or water or mud and things related to that. Making his way to the bed, he knelt under it to pull out the rolling drawer that was under it, reaching in he pulled out a simple black hoodie that he thought might fit the other perfectly. He was trying to push the entire situation to the back of his mind still, like if he ignored it maybe it would go away. It was not like he could say anything to Shield even if he did find him. That would put even more pressure on the other, and probably make him feel even worse.

His mind wondered to Jun Soma, he was here, he was a friend, wasn't it? They barely knew each other, but maybe that was for the best, maybe this way he could get a clear opinion? Holding the clothing he found close to him he pushed the drawer back to where it belonged. Making his way back down to where the bathroom was he came to the open door. Closing his eyes, he let out a low breath before reaching forward and his eye widened slightly. Before him stood the same Jun Soma as before, but now he was shirtless, yes he had a boyfriend, but he had to admit the other was very well built. Somewhere in the back of his mind he compared the two's very similar sizes but shrugged it off, they must both just work out well. Setting the hoodie down, he wet a wash cloth wish warm water and lightly began to blot where ever he could tell there was dry or drying coffee. A flush rose to his cheeks but he quickly shook it from his head. "Jun? What do you think they should do? The people who are marked I mean? It's ten peoples lives for thousands of others, so in the end, do you think the marked ones should be the better people and you know..end it?" He asked, looking the other directly in the eyes for probably the first time since they had met.

Jun looked up at Toshi when came over, just a little confused about why the other looked so surprised. Did his skin end up getting burned? Checking to see if that was true, he saw no red marks whatsoever. Weird. Leaning against the counter, he watched silently as the other male began to clean his hoodie of the coffee stain. The male didn't understand why the guy was so nice to him, he tried to runaway when they first met outside of his hero attire. Even though he questions this, he goes right back to his pervious comment about him when they first met: the guy was kind. He snapped out of his thoughts when Toshi asked him a question, one that has been bothering him all day and didn't know himself. He really didn't know how to answer this question without contradicting himself. He looked down, frowning, then he came up with a somewhat ok answer.

"It would be a noble thing to do," he started. "But not everyone is as selfless as you think. They would probably have thousands of people die then themselves." It's sad, but true. Not everyone wants to be a hero, nor do the right thing if it means sacrificing something and in no way benefits them. Some people actually think that's what heroes were, selfish strangers who do good deeds for a price. When he was younger, he thought the same thing for a while. But that's not why he became Shield, he became a hero because there were people out there getting hurt With no justice granted to them. He knew from experience really, how it feels to not have someone have your back. Say they'll protect you but chicken out when they're actually needed. "Then again, it could all just be a sick trick. To see how far I-,"he cleared his throat."Shield will go. A games really, and the guys have us surrounded with their pawns. To the point that we either surrender or fight." Jun looked over in time to see that Toshi was blushing. What was wrong with-? Oh. He almost forgot he was standing in front of the other with no shirt on. Coughing, he looked away. Trying to hide the blush that was creeping up his face as well. "What do think? About the people that were marked, I mean."

Toshi listened to the others responce and nodded lightly. A noble thing? He wanted to be someone who was worthy of a super hero. The mark on his neck was begining to throb, he wasn't tired but just wanted to lay down and relax. To go to sleep and wake up in two days when this was all over. Someone was going to die here, Shield, the ten marked ones, or the thousands of citizens. If Shield died, then the villians would go rampant, they could probably just kill everyone anyway. He didn't have much time to think about what he was going to do before his cell phone went off. "Sorry sorry, i'm trying to become a reporter so it goes off if there is any big news." He explained, fishing the phone out of his back pocket and flipping it open. A video was displayed on the screen, of a news lady holding a stack of papers and looking important.

"We have a new video streaming in live from the unknown source, we are not allowed to broadcast it publically. But in short, those who have put together this whole marked and unmarked situation, have a new rule. Shield is to meet them at a location that will be disclosed to him at a seperate time, at midnight tonight. Where he is to make the disition if the marked ones will be scarficising themselves for the city, or if he is going to let the bombs go off. The decision is his." Toshi shut the phone before any more could be said. So now it wasn't even his decision. He couldn't tell Shield about the mark now, not after that. He had completely forgotten that the other was in the room, putting a hand to his face he sunk down to his knees. "I'm going to die." The words let his mouth lighter than a whisper. Toshi Had been thrown by a robot, kicked by a monster, and all Shield was there to help him, but this, this was something not even his hero could save him from. If he had still been standing then his knees would have been shaking. Everything had been going so well.

The male raised an eyebrow when the other's phone went off, but said nothing when there was an explanation. He almost forgot that the other male wanted to be a famous reporter, he hopes that he didn't give up such a dream. Jun was staring off into space when he heard the news report. His heart dropping. They wanted him to choose who dies? Of all the decisions he's made in his life, this has to be the hardest amongst them. How was he suppose to pick if only ten people die or thousands? His gaze snapped over towards Toshi when he fell to his knees. He was about to quickly check if the guy was alright, but stopped short when he heard the words. No... he had to be joking, right? No, why would he joke about something so serious? Moving with hesitant movements, he crouched in front of the other. Face looking pained, his emotions going everywhere.

"Toshi," he spoke in a whisper. Feeling like someone just killed everything he cared about. "You...you have one of the marks?" He couldn't let the guy die, not after they just became a couple. Not when he broke his own rule because he actually trusts someone enough to do so. But it was either damsel dies, or thousands of innocent people. He had to make a tough decision, a sacrifice. And he knows who exactly has to be the noble person and die for a good cause. He stood up. "I...I have to go Toshi. I promise, you'll survive this." Jun put on his stained shirt, not caring so much for the hoodie. "I'll see you later, I have something to take care of." Looking back over at the other, he gave him a small smile. That said that this could be good-bye. "Thanks, for everything."

With that, he headed towards the exit. Petting the cat in his way out into the brisk cold air. He was going to make this right. Be the superhero he chose to be

Toshi jumped slightly when he heard the others voice, having completely forgotten that the guy was in the bathroom as well. He wasn't going to cry, he absolutely would not cry. Before he could make another comment, or apologize, the other was already gone. "I must have made him uncomfortable." He thought quietly to himself, shifting slightly so he could sit back. Leaning back against the wall, he closed his eyes and let out a low breath, he needed to do something. Just sitting around waiting for a super hero to save him certainly wasn't his style, even if it was his super hero. First thing first, he needed to figure out where the meeting was going to be held. He wanted to be a reporter, right? So something like this he could have been able to figure out no problem.

It didn't take him long to figure out the most likely place, the pier. There would be no people there at midnight, and if there were any explosions in the city, then whoever was doing this would be safest near the water. Right, pushing himself up he ran back upstairs and began to pile anything he thought he might need in a back pack. He was not going to let Shield have to do this alone, even if Shield decided that the marked ones had to die, he was going to be there for him when he made that decision. Damn, the hero needed a cell phone or a bat call or something so he was more reatable. It was only afternoon at this point, so he had plenty of time to get to the pier, and it was a good thing, because if this went back then this was going to be the last few hours of his life. Somehow, this was goign to be okay. He trusted Shield, it would be alright, he was going to make it and he was going to drag the damn hero on a date f he liked it or not.

Jun was at the shelter, petting the animals with a blank experience. The kittens brushing against and mewling softly. This will be the last time he'll see the little guys, he hoped that they all get a home and a loving family. "You alright there Soma?" He looked up to see the elder woman who owned this place. They've talked a few times, and she let him hang around and help out. Though in the beginning she denied the help saying that 'she maybe old but that doesn't mean she needs charity'. Needless to say, he wore her out and won in the end. "I'm fine," he tried to reassure the woman. His voice, however, wasn't convincing. And it showed on the owner's face. "Soma, whenever you're troubled, the animals always made you smile. But now, you look like you're going to die any minute now." His body stiffened, it was scary how she can read his body language. Well, anyone's really.

She gave him a sad look. "Honey, you got the mark. Didn't you?" He couldn't tell her that he was actually going to sacrifice himself for the city. So, he just silently nodded his head. The elderly woman sighed, wrapping her arms around him. "You'll be fine," she said softly. Her voice wavering. "That Shield, i just know he's going to come up with something to save you guys. Maybe even disable the bombs." Jun started to feel guilty, biting hos bottom lip. Before the owner could say anything else, a customer camr in asking for assistance. She sighed, kissing the top of his heaf. "Be brave, okay?" She said softly. Her eyes practically begging him to agree. So he did, saying in a hoarse voice, "Okay." When the woman walked away, he noticed how similar she was to his mother. To the point that it was eerie. He rubbed at his eyes, refusing to cry.

It was sad that Toshi wouldn't really miss him, but would probably breakdown if Shield got hurt. Again, why was he getting jealous of himself? Sighing, he stood up and left the shelter. Damsel will be fine, he's strong. The image of him falling to his knees with a look of horror on his face flashed through his mind. He'll be fine......right?

It took Toshi a good hour to get tot he pier, he was being careful not to walk to fast. He didn't want to trip on the lingering snow, at least it had warmed up a bit, well when the sun was out. Now it was already dark, and large clouds were blocking out even the shinning light of the moon and stars were going to be blocked. If he died tonight, he would never see the stars again. If others died tonight, they were never going to see the moon again. Who the hell were these villians to think they had a right to dictate other peoples lifes. To say when a person is going to die, to make someone chose between one life and another. They were not going to get away with it, he wouldn't let them. He trusted Shield, but was determined to do something on his own, it wasn't fair for everything to be on the hero.

Adjusting the bag on his back, he made his way closer, finding a good spot to hide behind. A bunch of fishing crates were stacked on the dock with netting and fishing hooks spread across them. It was the perfect place to hide, he was wearing all black jeans and sneakers with a black turtle neck and vest. They wouldn't be able to see him if he just crouched and didn't move. He sat still, after awhile he gave up and just sat back in the snow and let himself relax for a few hours. It was already eleven fourty, both Shield and the villians were going to be here any minute, so he had to readjust himself. Reaching in his bag, he pulled out a small knife that he had taken with him for just in case, holding it in his hand, he began to scan the dock for sign of either of them.

He knew he couldn't let Shield see him as much as he couldn't let the Villians see him, if Shield saw him there was no way he was going to let Toshi stay. So the dark haired male decided he was going to wait until just the right moment to jump out. After another five minutes, ten figures could be seen from across the dock, heading towards the middle of the pier. There, it was them. Should he call the cops? Maybe they could help, but if they didn;'t handle it properly then they villians could set of the bombs. No, he was going to trust in Shield and his own abilities.

The male was no longer Jun, but now Shield. Putting on his goggles as he walked from rooftop to rooftop. When he thinks about it, today was the last day he was going to be himself, dying as his persona. It sounded like it could be considered as some William Shakespeare story, the way that everything is laid out. A hero who finally decides to believe in some romantic interest, being in a relationship with the guy he loves, and yet something ruins everything. And that something was the guys behind this. It was cowardly in his opinion, and yet genius. Doing this made him have no choice but to do as they say. The hero sighed, his whole mood having a melancholy undertone to it. He wishes that he could've told Toshi who he really was, but it really wouldn't change anything. It'll just make the goodbye a lot more emotional, heartbreaking even. The male looked at his watch, it was time.

He got to the pier, his outfit a little different. This time his jeans where white and so was his shirt. The only black clothing being his combat boots and goggles. A white jacket hanging loosely on his body. He didn't know why he wanted the sudden change in outfit, but it seemed fitting. Unlike his dark attire. The snow on the ground was slowly starting to dissipate, some patches still laying here and there. The night sky was covered by the dark clouds, a warm brisk wind blowing through the air. The image seemed calming in a eerie sense. The reason being because he was going to die soon. Getting closer to the pier, he saw ten guys standing there waiting for him. A look of satisfaction on all of their faces. One of them stepped forward with dark, hay looking hair. Tan skin and a look on his face that was down righ conniving. By the look on his face, he looked somewhere around his early thirties. Which.surprised Shield but he didn't say anything.

"Ah, welcome to our little party Shield," the man greeted. The hero remained silent as the guy continued. "It is such an honor to be in the presences of a famous hero." The male didn't like the sarcasm laced in the man's voice. It was like he was being belittled, or teased that he lost. That he couldn't save anyone without their say so. Like some puppets. "Can we just get on with this," the hero snapped, eyes narrowing behind the goggles. "I didn't make a decision, moreover, i came with a proposal for you."

That seemed to peak their interest, as all of them seem ro have equal looks of excitement.

The man smiled, "And what is that?"

Shield gulped, this was it. He was going to die a hero. He hoped his family just assumed he disappeared completely, and hopefully bo one tries to figure who he is, well was, when he dies. He didn't want to put that on his family, not even Toshi.

"Instead of killing innocent people, just kill me."

Toshi's breath caught in his throat as soon as he saw Shield, dressed in all white, with the matching white hair, the man looked like an angel. There had not been a doubt in his mind that the other was going to show up, there was no way he was going to risk innocent lives. It took all of his strength not to jump out right then and take off across the pier and leap at the other and wrap his arms around him. His lips pursed in annoyance at the voice of he others, they were all but sneering at Shield like he was a child. He wanted to whip out and beat them all, but he still knew how poor he was in a fight so was not going to do anything stupid. His heard seemed to stop when he heard the others plan, he was an idiot, an absolute idiot! If he died who would protect the city!

If he died then they could just do whatever they wanted after, no one ever took the word of a villian. Wait a minute, Shield was planning on doing this, and he didn't even come to Toshi? He didn't think he needed to look for him first? The first thing Toshi did when he got scared was run to find the other, but just then everything seemed to slide into place. He was just a guy. Shield was a super hero, he saved lives, people adored him, he was busy being someone and making the world a better place. While here Toshi was, just a simple college student. In that moment, it was like this entire situation didn't even matter. He was just a kid that realized that his crush was not attainable. There was no bomb, no villians, no life or death situation, only a heart broken college student sitting in the damn snow.

He was to focused his own situation that he barely noticed the movement in front of him. One of the men stepped forward, putting a hand to his forehead he made the motion like he was looking for something before calling out to Shield. "Oh, what is that? It sounds like a child trying to be an adult. I don't speak for the rest of my companions here, but I don't want your life. I want your dignity. Before you give this city some kind of false hope, it needs to be squashed. If you die, sure, it might scare them a bit. But not as much as the huge, explosive party we have prepared would. Of course we are assuming that you will be chosing to sacrifice the marked ones, that is what a good hero would do." Another person stepped forward and batted his eye lashes at Shield before speaking in a mocking voice, " Damn Damsel, does it hurt, Damsel?" The guy let out a laugh before calming himself and continuing, "How sad, such a cute kid. No matter how much you might fancy him, he isn't worth the life of thousands. If it makes you feel any better, he was going to be one of the marked ones anyway. We have been planning this for a while, and his parents are both wealthy and influentioal. So him being a direct connect to you was only the cherry on top. Let me be clear, Shield. You will pick, Marked ones, or the bombs, you have 60 seconds."

The guy was belittling him again, so he wanted his dignity? He wasn't even sure that he had that anymore. It long since left when he left his family without a word. But mostly when he made a fool of himself in high school. The worse four years of his life, that nothing worse can happen then that. However now, he was wrong. So very, very wrong. He felt trapped, like some useless thing. Now he really knows how the animals felt at the shelter. Before his thoughts could process anymore, he heard the man mock him. His body stiffened, his hands turning into fists. Red exoskeleton appearing around his hands for a split second before disappearing. Rage was steadily burning inside of him, but lashing out wasn't a good idea. Otherwise everyone will die because of his stupidity. And he really didn't want that to happen, they were all ready going to die because he decided to be a hero.

Shield bit his lip, listening to the man. He had no other choice. If he said the marked, then Toshi will die, if bombs, innocent people will. He didn't agree with the villain when he told him that damsel's life was worth anything. Everyone's life is worth something, even if he cared for him more. But now he had 60 seconds to decide what to do. He sighed, he had no choice. He's going to lose ten people, including the one he cares for. The seconds ticked away as he made a decision that will forever haunt him. But before he spoke, a suicidal idea popped in his head. His armor can take the shape of any weapon, right? Well except guns. But, what if he turns it into a bomb? Or tries to blast the guys with something? He's never went that far with his abilities, because there was a potential side effect called death. However, if he tries it and it's a bust, then thousands die because he was trying to risk it all. Shit. Well, he might as well go out like the man he was.

Slowly, the hero removed his goggles. Dropping them to the thawing ground with a soft thud. Huffing, he looked up at the group of bad guys, expression blank but his eyes told another story. He was going to save everyone, it didn't matter if it killed him. "Unfortunately for you, I've long since lost my pride." He stepped a few feet closer before stopping, body still rigid. It was all or nothing. And Shield rather it be him. It was noble in a different sense. "I chose," he started head tilting to the side as the air around him started to move quickly. His hair starting to float, red light appearing in front of him. His armor forming into some orb, collecting the air like a vacuum. His body already feeling weak. Then, he finally answered with a soft, "You." The villains gave him a wide eyed pissed off look, about to yell something before the orb burst. Hitting not only them, but Shield as well. Like some supernova. White light covering the whole peir, screams echoing before being faded out by a ringing sound. The male only registered pain, a burning sensation surrounding his body. But it was worth it, he was a hero after all. They always did stupidly suicidal things like this. Well, that's what he thinks anyway.

The light disappeared just as fast as it appeared. The pier was completely destroyed, along with anything else too close to the blast. Bodies where seen on the ground, and Shield's was against a tree. A trickle of blood dripping from his head and onto the ground. Staining his white outfit completely.

Toshi watched the hero in confused, what was he doing? He needed to make a decision, hadn't he come here with him mind made up? Something inside Toshi wanted to hear the other say he chose the marked ones, something inside him wanted to hear the person who he liked, pick him over the world. It was something that everyone wants but no one admits to, to wanting to be that special person, to have a person who would put you before every single person. Though if Shield had chosen to save him, he would never forgive him because of the guilt of being the reason that all those people died. There was just no win in the situation. Before he had enough time to get deeper into thought about it, he saw Shield looking like he was charging up somehow? His eyes were drawn to the red light, in an instant he understood. The back he had with him fell to the ground, rushing forward he ran straight towards Shield.

"Wai-!" The cry was cut off, as the explosion went off, and everything went white. Suddenly, everything went from burning hot, and white, to dark and absolutely freezing. What the hell?What.. What is this? He was suffocating? He couldn't move, he was freezin, it was only getting darker. Water. His eyes shot open and he instantly regretted it as salt water stung his eyes. Toshi was lucky, the explosion threw him backwards, right off the pier, and into the water. If it hadn't he probably would have busted his head open, or probably have been dead. But he had flown right into the water, everything hurt, his body felt so heavy. Dark spots ebbed on the side of his vision, if he passed out here, he would die. Everything that Shield had just done would be for nothing. Then the name reverberated in mind. Shield. The explosion, Shield was strong but was he that strong?

He couldn't die, not until he made sure the damn hero was alright. Using what strength he could muster, he pushed himself up. Kicking his feet repeatidly and harshly until he finally broke the waters surface. Gasping loudly as he in took hair, he struggled to get to the nearby pier, well what was left of it anyway, and pulled himself up onto it. Landing in a wet, huddled mess as he continued to try and catch his breath. Shit, it was freezing. Pushing himself into a sitting position, he made himself stand up. As if a slap in the face, it started to snow, again. Making his way over the bodies that littered the board walk, his stomach sunk as he realized he might very well be looking for one that had white hair. He slipped on something and landed face first on the ground, cursing softly he looked back to see he had slipped in blood that was currently seeping out of a wound on a mans body.

Turning over he quickly pushed himself away from the body, eyes wide as he realized he had blood on his shoes. Now that he was glancing at himself, he noticed just how much blood he was covered in. He'd assumed that because of where he had taken the blast he was fine, but only know did he notice that he had all but taken the thing face first, he'd just been saved from the backlash. His clothes were ripped and soaking. There was blood bleeding through on his lower, left stomach, the wet fabric made it hard to see what was blood and what was water and he was honestly afraid to know just how much he was bleeding. After he pushed himself back up from the ground and glanced back down at the spot he had fallen did he really see how bad it was. The snow was stained red, and it was more than a small amount.

If he was hurt this bad, then how was Shield? The hero had been so much closer to the explosion, was he.. was he even still alive? Toshi took up his search for the other again, this time at a faster pace, the longer he looked the more panicked he became until finally, he saw white. Not white from the snow, but a white from that familiar head of hair. There he was! As quickly as he could, he rushed over, though now that the adrenaline was wearing off it was much harder to move from the pain. Falling to the ground beside the other he reached out to touch him but stopped when he saw how torn up his hands were. He didn't want to get his blood all over the other, however once he really saw how much blood the other was loosing, he didn't care.

Reaching over, he gingerly pulled the other over so that he could set him down flat on the ground. There was blood, so much blood, and he needed to stop it. "My bag, where the fuck-" He started, looking around for where his book bag had flown too, and to his relief, it wasn't to far away. Rushing over, he picked it up and made his way back to Shield. He'd come prepared with weapons and medical supplies, at least he could do this much. First thing first, work from the head down. Getting out bandages, he gingerly lifted the others head and wrapped a long bandage around it five or six times. For now his only concern was stopping the bleeding. He banaged or stitched every inch of that hero, it was only when he began to hear sirens did he decide Shield was good enough for now.

If he were to leave the hero here, they would take him, for all he knew they would disect him. He wasn't going to trust anyone with Shield. Reaching down he pulled one of the others arms over his shoulders and went to tug him up but quickly fell back to the ground, crying out. Everything hurt, everything. The police were coming, if he just stayed here, he would be alright, they would take care of him. Turning his head slightly, he looked over at the uncontious face of Shield behin him and once again pushed himself up from the ground. Hauling the other with him, he began the long journey back towards his house. One step at a time, it was late, and everyone was scared because of the threats so at least he didn't have anyone running up to him. It had to look weird, a boy covered in blood and soaking wet, dragging the all mighty Shield, also soaked in blood. It took him 3 hours to reach his condo, he had taken the backdoor to the building as well to avoid being spotted.

His body had stopped shivering long ago, and at this point he felt like a robot, moving with one purpose. Finally he threw open his bedroom door, and all but collapsed onto the bed while trying to get Shield on it. The stitches were messy, as were the others bandages, but they would do for now. He'd been shivering to hard to do them properly and it had been dark on top of everything else. But he really had tried his best. "I hate you." The words left his mouth, and before he knew it, tears were streaming down his face. Reaching forward, he pulled off the others already tattered shirt and tossed it to the ground before getting a warm glass of water from the kitchen and a towel. After the towel was soaked, he began cleaning any area that he saw blood.

Only after he was certain the other was properly cleaned off, did he pull the covers up over Shield. Reaching down he touched his cheek softly, he leaned down to press his lips to the others soft ones but stopped. The tears kept coming, and he wiped his eyes, which at this point was a hard task. The water had all but frozen on his clothes, the salt from the water he fell into was crusted on his eye lashes and in his hair, and his clothes were ripped, bloody and stiff. Closing the door to his room, he went to pour some water in the kitchen but stopped when he saw a newspaper in the entrance to his hall that had been dropped through his slot. Reaching down, he picked it up and there, taking up most of the page, was Shield holding him when he had gotten kicked from the monster. Letting himself slide to the floor, he held the paper to his chest, like it was the most important thing to him. "Ah, shit, I can't move can I?" He murmured out softly, that blast should have been enough to put him out, but the idea of Shield laying somewhere, dead was enough to get him moving.

A soft mew came from the hall behind him as the cat trotted over to him and sat beside him wide eyed, looking her human up and down before leaning in and trying to lick his hands, which were both trashed, clearly having taking the brunt of the explosion when he automatically rasied them to block the light. He'd done it, he had helped, he'd done something. "That is enough, right?" He murmured out softly, his eyes growning heavy before he slumped to the side blacking out finally from the combination of blood loss, fever, shock, and a pleathera of other things he had endured to keep his hero safe.

He was dead, there was other way to put it. His body feeling like it was underwater, heavy and yet light at the same time. But it was worth it in the hero's opinion, not only was everyone safe, but so was Toshi. ..Toshi. His beautiful blue eyes, bright smile and kind heart. The male wondered how the other would react if he found out what he did. Would he be sad? Or angry? Most likely both. However, Shield thinks that it's better for him to die than him. Well, that's what he thought. He'll never see the other male again, to hear his voice. Wasn't this a great way to start a relationship? Sacrificing yourself for the good of the city. His vision was still dark, but he can still somehow feel something. Something soft? It could be that he was laying in the snow dying slowly. He was ready to accept death, however, he kept hearing this noise. It sounded like .....meowing? With effort, he slowly opened his eyes. Only to regret said decision when the light caused his head to throb in pain. "Shit," he hissed, lifting one of his arms to hold his head. Feeling around to notice that his head was wrapped up. What? Opening his eyed for the second time, he gingerly sat up.

He was in a bedroom. The white walls were covered in different news articles, and yet the rest of the room was fairly neat. Wasn't he suppose to be dead by now? What the hell is this? He touched his head again to feel the bandage. Someone must've saved him before it was too late. The hero was wondering if that was he only damage as he tried to slowly get out of the bed. Only to see that no, it wasn't. There was bandages across his chest and some on his arms. He was surprised that the blast didn't kill him instantly. The meowing outside the door got louder. Curious, and just a little concerned, he got off the bed. His head swimming from suddenly standing up. He leaned against a bedside table, cursing everything in existence because of the extreme headache and dizziness. After a few minutes, he continued his journey to the door. "I'm coming," he mumbled when the meowing still didn't stop. When he opened the door, he was surprised to see a small cat on the floor looking at him with urgency. Wait, wasn't that the cat-. The animal walked down the hallway before stopping. Turning around and meowing at him.

Even more confused, he followed. Noticing the blood on the floor and how familiar the place was. It wasn't until he got to the living room did he recognized where he was. Toshi's condo? The cat continued to walk, to show him lord knows what. But what he saw, was the last thing he expected. It was Toshi, laying near the front door bleeding out. "Fuck!" The hero fell to his knees, causing his head to throb more and make him nauseas but he ignored the feeling. He was the one who saved him? How did he even know where the meeting was going to be? His eyes widened. He was there when the blast went off. Thinking quickly, he ran to the bathroom to grab medicine, a wet towel, bandages, anything he could think of to help the other male. This guy just wouldn't give up when it came to protecting him. He wasn't sure if he should either laugh or cry at the fact. Coming back to where the other laid, began to work. Ripping what's left of the other's clothes to get to the wound. It was a lot worse than he expected.

It was a huge gash, blood dripping from it rapid speed. He could even see just a hint of muscle. The hero felt sick from the sight, but sucked it up as he began to clean the wound with the towel. This was his fault, he should've check the area before doing something so dangerous. He grabbed some thread and a needle. Trying to sew the gash closed. Why did Toshi come? He was suppose to still be here and alive. Not laying here bleeding out. The cat looked on as Shield tended to her human, siting a close distance from them to make sure he will be fine. When the wound was closed, he wrapped it up with the bandages that wasn't used on him. This was more than unfair. He started to pant heavily, but he continued to treat Toshi. Wrapping up the burns on his hands as well, not caring that his headache was getting worse and worse. When the other was finally cleaned, he picked him up. Pain erupting throughout his body in an instant. He cried out, but refused to set the other male down until he was laying on the couch. And the walk to the furniture felt like it took him an hour, but was only twenty minutes. Considering he stopped a few times to catch his breath.

Laying Toshi on the bed, he finally collapsed to the ground. Hyperventilating from using all of his strength. The hero felt like he was going to pass out soon. But he needed to check one more thing, just one last thing. Reaching his hand up, he pressed it against the other's forehead. It was warm, too warm. Could be a fever. Shield tried to get up and get the meds he left near the entrance but he couldn't move. His body wanted to rest, practically begging for it. His eyelids felt heavy as he tried to fight the feeling. Great, the other possibly has a fever and he couldn't get up to get some medicine. Before he lost consciousness, he heard a meowing sound again that day. Opening his eyes, he saw the cat right in front of him with the bag of medication in front of him. He smiled weakly. "Smart kitty," he praised in a hoarse voice. Petting the animal before grabbing the bag. Looking through it until he found a bottle of blur liquid. The word 'Fever' on it being the only thing he registered. Now, how was he going to give it to Toshi? Setting the bottle on the table. He gently shook the other.

"Toshi," he called out. "Wake up." If he couldn't give it to he other now, than the fever will get worse. He was sure of it.

"oshi....ake up." The dark haired boy let out a soft groan as he heard a voice, seemingly dragging him back to conciousness. It hurt, and it hurt pretty fucking bad, everywhere. He just wanted to sleep, where it wasn't so physically or mentally painful. That damn hero, he hated him right now, he was perfectly fine with dying, not even planning on saying goodbye. Toshihiro would have had no idea until he saw it in some newspaper somewhere. The last time he could have seen the male was when he was asleep in bed. We were going to go on a date. He thought faintly to himself, and what was worse was even though he said it he really couldn't bring himself to hate the other. He'd been doing his job, protecting the city, of course the city was going to come first.

It was only after he really listened to the voice, did he know who it belonged to. It was a bit of a struggle to get his eyes to open, the dried salt water all but drying his eye lashes shut. He couldn't bring himself to move the slightest yet, even now he could tell it would fucking hurt. He was more than thankful that most of his lights in the condo were off, it would definetly have felt like being hit with a brick if they hadn't been. He saw a blurry figure just beside him and glanced over, the figure slowly gave way to Shield. Instantly that seemed wrong, the man was practically blown away, what the hell was he doing beside Toshi? Glancing around now noticing that he wasn't in the hall anymore, but on the couch. There was no way Shield could have lifted him in such a poor condition.

Yet still, here he lay, and there Shield sat, right beside him. Shield still looked like crap, but still he looked like the best thing Toshi had ever seen at the same time. They were both alive, they were alright, well, at least they were breathing. Shields white hair was still caked with blood, he could only get so much of it out with just a damp cloth. The other looked like he was going to pass out any minute, and with a head wound, that couldn't happen. Now that the other was awake, he needed to keep him that way. Shield had a serious concussion from what the smaller boy could tell, and that meant the other couldn't fall back asleep. Slowly, he pushed himself up into a sitting position by his elbow, his fingers were practically useless at the moment.

"Why are you here? You need to lay down, you have a really bad concussion, and you lost a scary amount of blood through your head. Come on, i'll help you back to bed." He murmured, though his body screamed in protest if he tried to move it even the slightest. He needed to help take care of Shield, despite how pissed at him he was, and yes, he was still fucking pissed.
