Shield was relived when he saw the other slowly wake up. He wanted to cry from joy but refused to do so. Just smiling was sure to show just how happy he was, he didn't need to cry to show that. Also because he didn't want to do something like that in front of Toshi, even if he did look really, really out of it. But he was sure he was no better to begin with. He gave the other male a confused and worried look when he tried to sit up. Why was he getting up? He's really injured and shouldn't be moving around. But again, he wasn't one to talk. "Toshi," he started, pressing his hands gingerly against the other's chest to keep him still. "You shouldn't move a lot, you have a fever." And he needed to drink some of that medicine, he remembered. Grabbing said bottle off the table and unscrewing the cap.

"And I'm sure you've lost a lot more blood than me." If the trail of blood in the hallway and the blood at the entrance was any indication. He didn't care if forcing himself to help the one he cared about ended with him getting worse than a concussion. As stupidly selfless as that sounds, he wanted Toshi to get better before him. And he realizes, that it's always been Toshi. Wanting to protect him, not let him down, ever since they met. As weird as it sounded, the hero couldn't help but think it was true to some extent. He handed the bottle to the other. "Drink this. It'll get rid of your fever," he said, his voice lower and more strained. His vision was blurring from the headache he has. Every time he blinked or looked around with his eyes, added on to the throbbing sensation.

His breathing became more shallow, his forehead breaking out into a cold sweat. "You shouldn't have came to the pier," he began. Body shaking. "You were suppose to be here....safe from them. From me..," If the other wasn't there, he was sure that he would've been dead. Laying in the snow bleeding out and saying his last words. Probably saying something cheesy or cliché. "It was .....too keep...y-you....safe...," His vision was starting to fail him. He has to stay awake and make sure Toshi drinks this damn bottle of meds before he passed out. He wasn't going to let the other push himself anymore than he already has from taking care of him. Which now that he really thought about it, was very hypocritical.

He slumped forward, somehow not spilling any of the bottle's contents. "Only....you...," he felt himself slowly loosing conciouness. The hero was trying to fight it, but it was a lost cause. His exhaustion and pain quickly winning in the end as his breathing slowed down. He didn't want to go to sleep. Not yet-. His eyes started to close.

Toshi's heart felt like it was going insane, his chest tightened painfully as he watched Toshi trying to hard, just because the smaller had a fever. Which was certainly nothing compared to the hero's wounds, he reached over quickly and put a hand on the others shoulder as he watched him faltering. It was no good, Shield was going to pass out. All the anger he had towards the other, all the injust feelings washed away as he watched his big, strong hero, trying so hard just to get him to take some medicine. A soft smile spread over his lips as he watched Shield loose himself, "It's alright, i'll be right here." Finally, he got the push he needed, sliding himself carefully off of the couch, so sat directly next to the other. Reaching over he took the medicine that Shield was holding out to him and tilted the bottle into his mouth.

Only after he was certain that he had taken enough, did he sat the bottle beside him and look back at the hero. He would keep him safe. Shield went through all that, he had to be scared, knowing he could die, and he did it all for this city. Shield held the lives of thousands on his shoulders every day, the least Toshi could do, was help the hero shoulder it. Carefully, he pulled Shields arm around his shoulders once again and carefully stood up, pulling the other with him. "Dammit Shield, you couldn't have gotten us upstairs at least. I've already done this once today." He grumbled softly, making his way back to his bedroom. Everything still hurt, but as long as he could get Shield it bed and make sure he was resting it would be fine. He had clearly fixed him up, so Toshi was no longer in a near death state.

Only after Shield was in the bed and covered up did Toshi allow himself to rest. Well, if he wanted to take care of Shield, he was going to have to take care of himself. Making his way slowly tot he bathroom, he shut the door behind himself before completely undressing. He looked inthe mirror an grimanced, there were angry re scratched and just now appearing bruises riddling his body. His hair was caked with dried salt water, he ws dirty, bloody, and every all looked terrible. "Right, first thing first." He needed to clean himself up, if he took a bath i could open any of the wounds that had already stopped bleeding, so he was going to have to settle for a shower. He only mangd to stay in there for 10 minutes, but he managed to scrub himself clean in that short time.

He had to make sure Shield was alright for 48 hours, after that the other would be in the clear. Even if Toshi couldn't keep the other from falling asleep, at least he could watch over him while he was asleep. The idea of not sleeping for 2 days, with how exghausted his body was was more than depressing. "He better take me on a really nice date for this, and i'm definetly making him pay." He murmured softly, before laughing at how strange that sounded coming from him. After he was clean and completely fixed up, he made his way back to the bedroom. The other was asleep, so he didn't mind going back in just a towel. He pulled on a very large, loose black shirt that was big enough to cover him properly, and some boxers. His arms and legs were to cut up for him to consider putting any fabric against so pants or a long sleeve shirt were a no go.

After he was set, he walked back over to the other and pulled back the covers, Shield was laid on before him, utterly defensless. Reaching down, he checked the man all over, making sure that he really was alright. Lastly he checked the others head, leaning down, he felt Shields pulse to make sure it was alright, and nodded. Pulling up a chair he had int he room, he sat directly beside the bed, and set his alarm to go off every 30 minutes un case he also fell asleep. Sitting back in the chair, he let out a low sigh as he was finally able to relax. Holding one of Shields hands in both of his, he began his long wait. He couldnt sleep until those 48 hours were up.

Shield opened his eyes for a brief moment, watching the other take the bottle from his hand and drink the medicine. Good, now he can sleep. But they were still on this small, now dirtied couch while he bedroom was upstairs. Just...great. He let himself he picked up by Toshi, not having the strength to stand up at all. A soft groan falling past his already parted lips. "Not...my fault," he muttered. "Was...w-worried." As they went up the stairs, it felt like absolute torture. Each step making him feel like someone was stabbing his body all over. And he knew if this was causing him pain, than the other male must be dying right now. When they got to the bedroom, he was going in and out of consciousness. Eyes sometimes opening for a few seconds before closing again. Sleep, that's all he needed was sleep. And a comfortable bed to lay on for the rest of the day.

The male didn't even protest when he was tucked into bed like a child. He'll complain about that later. He curled in on himself, letting out a sigh of satisfaction from the soft mattress and warm covers. Today has been too much of a painful emotional rollercoaster for the hero. Having Toshi figure out that they go to the same school, having to pick if ten died of a thousand, finding out that the other male was one of those ten, deciding to sacrifice himself and in the end killed the villains. Almost killing himself and the other in the process. Then thinking he was dead and not being able to see damsel again only to wake up and find him laying on the ground bleeding out.

It was too much for the hero's liking. But somehow, after all that, everything was fine in the end. In some sense. Toshi was fine, he was fine, no innocent people died. Everything was alright, but he just knows that villains don't rest. They better, he was in no way in good shape to fight. Let alone go down a flight of stairs without feeling like he was going to vomit. Gingerly, he buried his head halfway under the covers. Only his bandaged and matted hair showing on the pillow. Letting himself be quickly consumed by sleep. Body going heavy against the bed. Shield feels that he has nothing else to worry about. All he really needed to worry about was getting some rest and Toshi taking proper care of himself. The guy was extremely selfless, if him coming to the pier and almost getting killed from the blast was any indication.

Meanwhile, two cities away, a family was gathered in the living room. Two kids in their early twenties were on the couch as the two youngest were sitting on the floor. Either being blonde, or brunette . Looking similar in a way but also looking different. The room having somewhat of a color scheme of blue and white. They watched their parents pace the front of the room with determined looks on their faces. "I know it has been a few months since we've last talked to or seen your brother," the man spoke up. Standing in front of them with crossed arms. "And the cops have yet to find him. Nor have any leads." At this moment, the woman jumped in. Her expression less professional than he husband's. "So me and your father are going to go looking for him," she exclaimed. Completely cutting the man off when he opened his mouth to say something.

"So," the older boy started. Looking like his mother with brown hair and sharp features. "You guys are just going to leave us home alone? For a good week or so?" The second oldest sighed, rubbing at her face from her brother's none to subtle question. "Mommy, daddy, don't go!" The two youngest cried out, running to their parents. The twins looking at them with teary eyes. The man sighed, crouching down to their level. Giving them a soft smile. The twins has always been the more emotional ones out of the group of kids, besides their missing son. "Don't worry," he said in a warm tone. "We'll be back before you know it."

"In the meantime," the mother cut in for the second time. "Your Aunty is watching you." That made the room erupt in outraged groans and protests. But one sharp look made them shut up. "Now, meeting over. Amu, Rui, put your brothers to bed. We'll be back in a week so you better behave yourselves." The older two of the four grabbed on of the twins and lead them upstairs. One grumbling and the other playing with her little brother. When the kids were out of sight, the mother sighe. Her husband wrapping his arms around her body, kissing her cheek. "We'll find him Mary," he reassured. "I'm sure of it."

Mary sighed, looking at her husband with teary eyes. "I hope so, Otani. I just," she cut herself off. Huffing before breaking the embrace. "Let's get going then, yeah?" They headed out the door, going to their car that already was packed with everything they needed. We'll find you, Jun. I just know it. Please.....be safe.

Toshi had gone about this with a full on, I can do this, attitude, however it had been 6 hours since the other had fallen asleep. Despite everything, the only thing that was bothering the dark haired male was how bored he had become. About an hour ago he had gingerly began to play with the white strands of hair that were sticking out from the covers, but he was far to clumsy to risk being near the other males head so made himself stop. Sitting back in the chair, he glanced at the cieling. With the quiet, he had no choice but to think over everything that had happened recently, and that was almost as bad as the boredom. He had a crush on a super hero, and yes he had decided it was a crush. He had already decided he was going to end it with the hero when he woke up.

Let it be over before it even started huh? Toshi knew there was no way he was ever going to be good enough for the other, he deserved a model, or even another super hero if he could find one nearby. They could still be friends, right? Then again, he thought of that other guy, Jun Soma. He'd practically drug the guy around both times they had spoken, was that how he treated his friends? No, thinking about it now it was pretty clear that the other guy didn't think of him as a friend either. He hadn't spoken to any of his friends since he met the other, and it was now, sitting in the silence, that he realized how loney it was. After Shield woke up, he would end things, and they would never see each other again, apart from maybe the reporter watching as the hero did something recklace and saved the city again of course.

Climbing up from his chair, he leaned over and put the back of the others cheek to make sure he wasn't catching a cold. Only after he was certain the other was alright, did he turn and make his way, slowly, down to the kitchen. "Only 42 more hours left." He murmured to himself, pouring two glasses of water before heading back upstairs. The small cat following after him happily. Setting down one cup, he leaned over and lightly took a hold of Shield's chin, pulling it down slightly with his thumb so that the others lips would part enough for him to get some water into them. He had wanted to give the other some pain medicine as well, but he didn't want to risk trying to get pills down Shield's throat if he wasn't awake. After he had made sure the other had enough water, he saw back again, and took Shields hand.

Slowly, Shield began to wake up. But with a loud groan and with him fighting himself from waking up. He didn't want to wake up, he was having the best sleep ever. Considering he hasn't slept so well since yesterday, wait, was it even the next day? He looked around the room with squinted eyes, there was light but it looked like it was fading. Sunset? Gingerly, he sat up. His head now just feeling heavy instead of trying to kill him with throbbing pain. His dream wasn't exactly what he expected, him and Toshi was on a date. A date on the beach, as weird as that sounded. He really didn't like the beach since he couldn't swim. But, it was still a nice dream regardless if it involved the one thing he couldn't do no matter how hard he tried.

The hero sat up as he yawned silently, face red and eyes watery. How long has he been asleep? It felt like he was in a coma for a day. It was possible he was in one, but who knows. He looked over the other who was sitting on a chair near the bed. Smiling at him. "Hey," he greeted in a sleepy voice. Rubbing the sleep from his eyes, he felt sticky. Probably the blood that stained his body. Which reminds him, he needs to take a bath of some sort to get all of the grim off of his body. It was completely uncomfortable to the point it made him cringe. "How long have you been awake?" He asked out of the blue, surely the other had some sleep. He looked clean, like he took a shower. But still, he wanted him to rest up, at least for a little while.

"You should rest. Come here," Shield moved the covers back so that Toshi can climb in. He wanted his boyfriend to take care of himself for a moment. And yes, he said boyfriend. They're in a relationship anyway, right? Also, calling the other his boyfriend made something flutter inside of him. They're a couple, and the very fact made him happy. To the point that he was willing to sing sonnets and poetry just to tell the world how happy he was. Though he wasn't going to go that far. He doesn't even know how to write a poem. But he can write music, or, play an instrument really. Yes, he was a band geek in high school. And that was the only thing he loved his four years in that prison. Playing almost all of the instruments there. But he stopped, since you know the whole 'protect the city' thing popped up. Maybe he should get back into it. Oh, he can play a song for Toshi. That would be a great first gift. My god he was acting lovey dovey right now....

He blames it on the head injury.

Toshi sat back with the cat having settled in his lap, she had jumped up on the bed earlier when Toshi was nodding off and sat on the heros chest. Her tail batting him in the face as she purred contently. Toshi had all but snatched her up off of him, not wanting any pressure on Shields body right now. It had been 42 hours since the blast, he had turned on the news earlier to see a report of the explosion near the dock. Nine bodies had been found, if Toshi hadn't been there he shivered at the idea that there could have been another body, that belonged to his hero. Wait, nine? Thinking back, there had been ten guys, so one of them managed to escape them? The idea of that seemed pretty impossible due to the blast, but both he and the hero had survived after all.

He figured it was probably best not to tell Shield when he woke up, not wanting to immediately stress out the guy. He had been to focused on the cat, and didn't notice the other begining to stur. Despite how much he was dreading the other waking up, he couldn't help but smile in relief when he saw sleeping eyes looking back at him. He was going to break up with Shield, he needed to, he was just going to get in the way. But looking at the other now, the first thing that came out of the hero's mouth was about his concern for the reporter. Glancing at the clock, he thought back, "You have been asleep for 42 hours, so 42 hours plus the time since the other day when I woke up at your place." He answered, clearly to tired to think of a decent reply.

His heart jumped at the invitation to join the other in his bed, despite how torn up the guy was, it was still his crush laying in his bed. He was half naked as well since Toshi had to basically strip him to make sure there were not any more serious injuries. The dark haired boy wanted to deny the others offer, if he got in that bed with Shield he would let the hero sweep him away again. His body betrayed him, moving almost automatically, he carefully climbed in beside the hero. He was more than tired, soar, achy, and at least right now he could blame his actions on just being to tired to comprehend right from wrong. His body all but collapsed into the soft mattress, shifting close to the other, he pressed his face into Shields chest. He had been so scared that Shield was not going to wake up, putting all his energy into making sure the hero was alright. "I thought you weren't going to wake up." He murmured softly, his eyes watering slightly as tears began to rise from them. He was okay, Shield was going to be okay. His hero wasn't going to die. "I can go to sleep in 6 hours then it will be 48 hours." He added, letting the other know that he had no intentions of falling asleep.

The guy has been awake for 42 hours? That wasn't exactly healthy. So he slept 42 hours plus the time they were at his dorm, the was a new record in his opinion. Maybe he can go for another eight hours before he goes back to school. His smile widened when the other climbed in bed with him. Wrapping his arms around Toshi and pulling him close, resting his head on top of the other's head as he let out a content sigh. The guy really was smaller than him, to a point. And he was once again reminded on how well their bodies fitted together, like a puzzle. The hero was more than content really, body relaxing with his body pressed against the other male's. He really didn't want to recover now, if he could lay in bed like this forever with Toshi in his arms.

He kissed the top of the other's head. "I'm not leaving you anytime soon," he mumbled. The very thought of leaving the other male made something in him break. His mind yelling in protest. Yeah, he wasn't going anywhere. As long as the guy wanted him, he'll be there. As Shield, and as Jun. "Not at all, to be honest." To be really honest. He didn't want to. He found someone who he could trust, who wanted to protect him no matter how suicidal the idea was. It didn't feel one sided. But, they haven't gone on a date yet the past few days they've been dating. Which bugs him. The guy deserves a date after everything they've been through. The hero smiled at the thought, they could probably go on a picnic. Then again, people will start to bug them. Since the famous hero Shield was on a date. And he was sure his fan club would have a heart attack at the news.

"I'm definitely taking you on a date after we recover," he promised. Even if he wasn't sure where it was going to be. In his opinion, as long as he was with Toshi, it didn't matter. But he wasn't sure how far the other's feelings went. And he didn't want to do it half-assed. So, maybe a candle lit dinner? Why was he thinking so much on this? Because he was drugged with the happiness of his crush being in his arms, that's why. That was the power the other had over him, and he was okay with that. To some extent. He kissed the top of the other male's head again, smiling brightly this time. But it soon turned into a frown when the guy said he was going to stay up for six more hours. Was he really that worried about him? "Fine," he grumbled. "But I'm not okay with it." The hero knew he sounded like a child, and he didn't care. He was going to be childish because the other was too. He was still blaming it on the head injury, even though he wasn't so convinced at the moment that that was the reason being for his uncalled for, immature behavior. And love sick thoughts.

Toshi yawned wide, wincing slightly as he felt the others arms wrap around him. Despite the slightly twinge of pain he felt, it was drowned out by the pleasure it brought. Letting his eyes close, he let his head fall to Toshi's shoulder. There were a few times where he had almost crawled in bed with the other when he had been resting, just wanting to feel Shield's warmth. But he had held himself back, not wanting to injure the other more or risk falling asleep before he knew Shield was alright. He felt Shield's head ontop of his and couldn't help but smile. Laying like this, in the arms of the person he had feelings for, almost seemed normal. Despite the fact that they were both covered with injuries, and worn out completely, this moment almost seemed..normal?

Reaching over carefully, he let one of his arms rest lazily on Shields chest and the other was between him and Shield, resting just below Toshi's chin. Despite not wanting to fall asleep, he already felt like it was a loosing battle. With the hero right up against him, he felt warm, and safe, so it was already a struggle to keep himself awake. A slightly flush spreading over his face as he felt the others lips on his head. He opened his eyes, not without protest, and shifted slightly in an attempt to keep himself awake. Slowly, he began to trace small circles, smiley faces, hearts and any other small, simple shape he could think of on the others chest, enjoying the warmth he felt beneath his fingers. Not going to leave me?

Somehow those words made something in the dark haired boy shift, he was more than happy. As though all the pain, and exhaustion no longer mattered, this hero, his hero, really wanted him. He couldn't help but laugh as the other seemed to basicallypout as his decision to stay up. But Toshi hadn't hauled the man all the way here and gone through all of that just to risk the hero dying because Toshi was a little bit tired and fell asleep. "Just for afew more hours." He murmured softly, turning his head slightly so that he could hide his face against Shield's chest. "Shield? How come you did that? You went there prepared to die, right? What if I had to hear about your death in the paper or something, how could I have taken that?" He spoke softly, not wanting to pout about the best but he really had been scared he was going to losoe Shield. He needed to make sure the guy wasn't going to do something that dangerous again.

Shield didn't feel so sleepy anymore. Just, content with having the other in his arms. Like it was normal, and surprisingly, it felt normal. Like they've always been doing this. Sleeping in each other's arms, wanting to feel the other's warmth. And the hero wouldn't trade this moment with anything else. That's how happy he was at this moment. If the grin wasn't proof enough. The grin turning into a soft smile when Toshi yawned. He was pretty sure the guy was going to fall asleep any minute now, not going to last a few more hours. The other male did stay up for forty something hours. Watching over him most likely to make sure he'll be fine. Which was sweet, sickly so, but not exactly healthy in the male's opinion. But he's being a hypocrite, because he would do the same thing really.

His heart behan to pound faster when the other started to draw shapes into his chest with his finger. How could such an innocent act make him so flustered? His face was just a little red from it as well. Stopping himself from dwelling on it any longer, he ran his fingers through Toshi's hair gently. Noticing just how soft the strands were against his skin. Like silk. At the other's questions about his suicide mission, his mood dropped just a little. Guilt resurfacing. "Would it be cliche if i said it was for you?" The hero asked in a low tone. In all honesty, it was for him. But he might've did it the wrong way. However, no innocent people died, so it was somehow a win in his eyes. Villains died, the one he cared for and innocent people live to see another day.

"I was going to choose the ten that were marked. But then-," he bit his lip. Trying to change the way he found out. "I decided to sacrifice myself instead, i couldn't live with the thought of killing innocent people. And when he said you were one of them, i couldn't do it. Also, i thought the blast would only get the bad guys, not me as well." He didn't think it would backfire like that, or at all. It he had to admit, the pain was a lot worse than torture. Shield never really expected that, but he knows for sure that he wouldn't be able to use his power for a few days without fainting. He knows this because he can feel just how weak his ability was at the moment. Not as weak as a day ago, but still weak nonetheless.

The feel of the others hands in his hair brought a shiver to the young raven haired boys spine, closing his eyes he contently relaxed on Shield. The entire world outside of that room, no longer seemed to matter. However at the others words, his eyes open and his gaze shifted as he raised his head slightly. Taking in the entirety of the hero's expression as he did, the fact that the hero felt bad brought an ache to Toshi's chest. Shield had gone through all of that, for him and the people of this city, it was such a selfless act, and the hero actually seemed to feel bad? Shield wasn't just one of those hero's that were all talk and no show, he clearly had his shit together. The white haired boy had been been completely prepared to give his life, that kind of hero was what this city needed.

"No matter who you would have chosen, you weren't killing anyone. If anything like this ever happens again, you have to do what you think is best for the city. If you had died, then any villian could rise up and destroy it. Your sacrifice would be for nothing, so don't think so recklessly." He scolded the other, not wanting him to throw such an important life away. Shield looked barely older than him, if he was older at all. For someone his age to be ready to die in order to save others was unsettling. People there age should be worrying about midterms and finals and about what girl they could get laid with at the next party. "If you ever have to make a decision like that, then think of what is best for the city and know that your life alone is easily worth one thousand of ours."

Toshihiro meant exactly what he said, people like him were replaceable, but people like Shield, you were lucky if you got one of them once in a life time. Reaching up, he tapped the other on the cheek lightly in reprimand and added, "You managed to hit all of us with your damn blast, lucky for you I know how to swim or you would be single again." Teasingly he laughed, making light of the situation that really could have ended all of there lives. "I came to try and help, but you had to go and be..well, be a hero. Took all my damn thunder!" Letting out a laugh, he closed his eyes and nestled his face closer to the other, yawning softly and this time not having the energy to open his eyes back up. "Hey, Shield? Why do you do what you do? The hero stuff, with your power you could do anything...so why protect this place?" Toshi was honestly curious as to what his hero's answer was going to be, his voice was a sleepy murmur.

He was carelessly playing with other's hair, wondering he if he was made at him for making such a decision. And looking back at it, it was a really bad one. But it was the only thing he can think of at that moment. He only a sixty seconds to choose anyway, so he decided: 'Hey, let's try and do something badass.' Which resulted in him and Toshi almost dying and the actuator death of the villains. It was luck that they survive, he realized. There was a lot of blood, and a good chance of him going into a coma. But, thankfully, he had a caring boyfriend who also does suicidal things to protect the one he cares for. Weren't they a match made in heaven? The hero looked down when the other lifted his head, looking up at him. And he felt like a child when he was being scolded. Eyes looking away as his shoulders hunched over slightly. He knows it was reckless.

But he didn't really think that far, that if he died the villains will completely overrun the city. So yeah, bad decision. Shield knew now that he shouldn't do something like that since it really would be for nothing. Innocent people still getting hurt in the end by his reckless act. His eyes widened ever so slightly. His laugh was worth a thousand? Was Toshi serious? The hero didn't think so at all. If he did disappear, there was a chance of him getting replaced. In every darkness there is light, and sometimes, that light gets brighter. That's why he became a hero, well one of the reasons. The city needed someone, and no one was brave enough to do anything. But, he was. To some degree. And he knew what is was like to feel helpless. It's not a fun feeling.

The hero pouted. "I didn't know you where there to begin with," he whined. Burying his face on the top of the other's hair. Appreciating the change in topic very much so. The mood before didn't settle quite right for him, especially the last comment. His life was worth a thousand? That doesn't seem fair. A chuckle bubbled up. "Not my fault I'm such a badass." And careless, completely careless in every way. But he was sure Toshi already knew that. At the next question, he quiet down. It didn't take him long to answer the question, however. "Because no one else would. And, i know what it's like to feel like no one is there for you. To feel helpless." His tone of voice was low as he spoke, recalling everything in high school. The name calling, the bullies, people standing around not doing anything. Amd the person he thought he could trust didn't even bat an eye. Encouraged it actually.

Toshi could vaguely feel the others fingers in his hair, despite wanting to stay alert and awake for the other, he felt extremely far aware and could tell he was quickly loosing the battle to stay awake. Up against Shield like he was, he was just to comfortable, like nothing else in the entire world mattered. He could feel the heat and almost comforting aura of Shield against him, but at the same time everything felt dulled down, numb almost. He had to continuously shift a bit so keep himself from completely falling asleep. Though even through closed eye lids, he rolled his eyes slightly at Shields comment about being a bad ass. He couldn't help but laugh sleepily against Shield's chest. A bad ass? Maybe he was, but it looked like Shield was stuck with the 'bad ass' hero and his suicidal antics.

Somehow, the idea brought a happiness in his chest. "If I could help more I would, though at this point it looks like I am doing more harm than good. At least on your stress level." He teased lightly, laughing to himself and reaching up to take Shields hand. To far gone right now to really care or be emberessd by his actions. Pulling Shield's hand close, he nestled his face against it before holding it close to his chest and letting out another sleepy yawn. He had been so determined to make it the entire time, but at this point he was just past his limit. Murmuring one more thing that was inauduble, he finally succumbed to his bodies wishes and fell asleep.

Shield smiled when he heard the other laugh, the noise sounding like music to his own ears. He now has a new goal, that being to make the other male laugh as much as he could. To hear that beautiful sound more. The hero let out a huff of amusement, he really liked Toshi. His smile, kindness, blue eyes, and now his laugh. He liked, no, loved everything about the guy. And didn't care if he was love-sick, nor feel that he can never feel the same for anyone else but Toshi. The hero looked down at the other. "You actually do help, a lot more than you expect." Like when the monster was destroying the city, or when he was unconscious on the ground with a head injury. He was surprised when his hand was suddenly griped and against the other male's face. Who was nestling it against his skin before moving it to his chest.

Shield's heart started to jump around, hearing the incoherent mumble the other male let out before falling asleep. Seems the other really couldn't stay up anymore. Which made him happy, because the guy will finally get some sleep instead of worrying about him and staying up. Again, he was being hypocritical. Since he would be doing the same thing if he was in Toshi's shoes. "Goodnight," he whispered. Kissing the other, before leaning back and closing his eyes. He wasn't exactly sleepy, just tired. Wanting to just relax.
