Gynoxyz laughs, before saluting to them in a condescending manner, before disappearing. He wanted to see this for himself, it was the only reason as to why he'd suggested such a thing. From a distance, he watched the dragon appear, listening in on the conversation that was being said between them. The utter dismay on Goku's face was priceless, finding out that it was pointless to have made that wish. The realization that this had been a set-up, and that it was all for nothing. Such amusement, he began to laugh. The dragon was smart, he had to give it that much credit.

Just as the dragon began to disappear, the god flings a small amount of 'energy' at the serpentine creature, which hits, and a strange symbol appears on Shenron's side, glowing red. It blinks out of existence when the dragon disappears, but that was just fine. What had been done was set, and there was no going back now. The fun was starting to begin, and for Gynoxyz, that was enough.

He begins to laugh, humans were so ridiculous. And entertaining. He'd made the smart choice coming here, it was the best thing he'd done in centuries. No, millennia. Besides of course allowing Nexus to live and bringing him back to life. The stage was almost finished being set, and the pieces to the game were in place. Now all it needed was a little push, and they would get started.

Nexus stares after the empty spots where Piccolo and Gynoxyz had been, shock running through his veins. He once again struggles to get up, gritting his teeth and fighting back any noise he might make from the pain he was in. He had to go, he needed to see what was going on!

"Bardock...he's probably in pain right now! I need...I need to save him...!" He coughs, and more blood splatters on the floor. That one single hit had done a ton of damage, but right now he didn't care about that. He feared that Rexyl had sent Bardock somewhere terrible, he'd heard of something like this happening before, but to have Rexyl, someone who couldn't hurt a fly even if he tried to...but then again...he'd almost killed Vegeta once.

Now on his feet, but still struggling, he looks to Raj. "Help me. I need to get Bardock back!"

Raj immediately went to Nexus' aid, helping him by holding his arm and pulling him to his feet, "I don't know, man. You look like you took a hard hit." His eyes glance around the room, sighing as he helped Nexus to the bed, "M...maybe Shenron could help. Y-Yea... yeah." He laughed softly, scoffong almost, "I mean, come on, it's Shenron, dude! He's the... the all-powerful... whatever, man." He tried to look away from Nexus as he bit his lip nervously. He didn't want to admit to Nexus he had a bad feeling about everything.

It was at that moment when Goku and Piccolo showed back up using Instant Transmission. A look of hurt and defeat was plastered on Goku's face as he gently lied Rexyl in the bed and he sat beside him.

"All is not lost, Goku.. when Rexyl wakes, we can ask him to bring Bardock back.." Piccolo walked over to Nexus and placed both hands on his shoulders, and slowly healed him. Piccolo didn't use that power often. Dende was the healer, not Piccolo.

Goku shook his head, "He's gone.. Rexyl won't remember doing it.. and even if he did, how do we know he would know how to bring him back? Right before he disappeared, all I said to him was that I pretty much didn't believe him when he said he was sorry.. I was a jerk.."

"You can't hold onto that, man.." Raj shook his head, "You'll make yourself crazy.."

"The only thing we can do right now is wait.. and hope Rexyl wakes up soon.."

The heat was getting to Bardock. He'd taken off the armour and most of his clothing, now only in his pants. But sit wasn't enough against the heat of the fire around him. He lied on the ground, sweat dripping from every pore of his body, but once it ran down his bronze skin, it sizzled from the heat and disappeared. Bardock could feel his eyes getting heavy from heat exhaustion, but he tried to stay awake, "Damn it.. eternity is too long.."

It was moments later, Bardock's eyes closed and his body relaxed. The heat overpowered him and he gave into its warmth.

"Bardock.."

Hearing his name made his eyes shoot open. But the flames were gone. Instead, there was darkness. Bardock leaned up, gasping when he saw someone standing by him. Wearing an old robe, and holding a staff made of wood, this person seemed a bit familiar. He was Nemekian, like Piccolo, but older.

"Kami?" Bardock remembered Piccolo talking about him before.

"Ah, so he did tell you about me." Kami smiled softly.

"Am I dead?"

"Fear not, Bardock. You are still very much alive."

Bardock looked down at his hand, clenching it and unclenching it as if in reflex, "I was in Hell.."

"The dimension you are in is not Hell. For to be in Hell, you must pass on. Again, you are very much alive."

Bardock rose his eyes to Kami. Was this a trick? Was the heat playing with him? "If I'm not in Hell, then where am I?"

"You are within Rexyl. He has sent you here because you had hurt the man he loves. So in order to punish you, it was out of immediate response he did what he did."

"Do you mean to tell me he doesn't know he sent me here?"

"That's right. You will have to reconnect within him if you wish to leave. I have come to help you do just that."

"I don't understand!" Bardock looked away, "I deserve to be here.. why are you helping me escape?"

"Bardock.." shock seemed to have snuck its way into Kami's voice, "You didn't know what you were doing, much like Rexyl

How can you be so hard on yourself? Things happen in life that we do not understand.. but it happens so that we can be stronger. To learn from the mistakes and not make them again. I do not have much time left.. we must act quickly.."

Bardock nodded then, "Okay.. tell me what I have to do.."

As much as he didn't want to just sit there and wait on the bed, he allowed Raj to guide him there, sinking on the sheets, groaning softly under his breath. He didn't want to admit it, but that one blow had done a lot more damage than it looked to have done. He had no doubt that Gynoxyz had been holding back his power in that strike, or else he'd have been dead. He eases himself back on to the pillows, wincing slightly, and listening to what Raj was saying, a sinking feeling forming in the pit of his stomach.

Yeah, Shenron may be all powerful...but this was...this was Rexyl they were talking about. Gynoxyz for heaven's sake. And from what he'd seen, not trying to raise himself up on the status pole, but there was no point in arguing that Xerothuans were far more superior to any race on earth, and not to mention that Gynoxyz, a god himself, had formed this race in his own image, giving them god like powers of their own.

He sits up quickly when Piccolo, Goku, and a unconscious Rexyl re-appear in the room, ignoring the pain that shot through his body. His look of anticipation quickly disappears as he saw the look on Goku's face, confirming what he had been dreading. Shenron could not help. Though, Nexus wondered what Piccolo had meant when he'd mentioned Rexyl waking and asking him to bring Bardock back, was about to speak up but was quickly silenced by his surprise when Piccolo came over and began healing him, slowly but surely he began to feel better. He'd noticed that after that whole fight with Exodys, and coming back from the dead, his own self healing was not what it used to be, and couldn't heal as quickly as he used to.

His eyes look over at the sleeping face of Rexyl, wondering just what that tiny body had done...was it true? What he'd heard? Way back home, on Xeros? Were what those females had said...was it all the truth? He'd brushed it off as a lie, as false, that there was no way that Rexyl could be...but now, as he lay there, Nexus could see that truth beginning to shine through, and a pit in his stomach began to form, sinking deeper with deep regret and sadness. Why? Why did Rexyl have to go through that?

"By the way...did you see Gynoxyz do anything? I'm sure he went out to see Shenron too..."

He needed to know if that god was up to anything...

As he lay there, Rexyl was in an uneasy sleep. He felt like he was hurting, in pain, but could not wake up. All he could hear were the screams and cries off people dying, what was this? This wasn't a memory of his own...was it? A look of utter peril and twisted agony formed on his face, and he shook his head back and forth on the pillow. His body was trembling, fingers curled into a fist, his nails digging into his palms, enough to make blood trickle to the sheet, but he still does not wake.

And then, there it was. A flash of fire surrounded him, and his own resounding scream echoed within his ears as flames engulfed his body. What he did not know that he was screaming not only within his dream, but out loud as well, his body now thrashing on the bed, causing Nexus to jump with alarm. "Rexyl!" He exclaims, wondering what was going on.

Within the world where Bardock had gone, the peacefulness was beginning to fade as the edges began to smoke, and then fire began to burn once again. Much like the way if one holds paper over a fire, that was what was happening to where Bardock was as the pain that Rexyl was feeling began to increase.

Piccolo turned his attention back to Nexus, preparing to say no, he hadn't seen Gynoxyz leave with them until Rexyl screamed. It made him jump and he twisted his head towards Goku, who was staring at Rexyl.

"Wake him up!" Raj seemed like he was the only one thinking clearly. He strode over to the bed, taking Rexyl's arm and softly shaking him, "Come on! Rexyl, wake up!"

Goku tried rubbing his face, or rubbing his arm, "Wake up, baby! No one is hurting you, it's all a dream! Dreams can't hurt you, they're not real!"

Bardock noticed the blackness was gone as he got to his feet and for some reason the fire that engulfed him seemed to have grown. Bardock could barely breathe. He kept an arm over his face as he looked at Kami.

"You have to connect with him. He is here, in this realm with you. It is your responsibility to return yourself and Rexyl unharmed. But if you wait too long, you can perish here. Reconnect and do it quickly!"

"But how do I reconnect?! I don't have the power!" Bardock grunted from the heat, wincing as embers singed his body.

Kami smiled softly, "You do not.. but I do. Speak now! I will tey to connect you!"

Bardock shook his head. What would he say?? Dammit, if it were Nexus, or even Goku, it would be totally different! He barely knew the kid, and he was in love with his son.

Wait..

Bardock blinked, remembering a very odd, but interesting conversation between him, Kakarot, and Rexyl. At one point Kakarot had told Rexyl to say 'hi' to 'dad'...

"Rexyl..." Bardock spoke low, but also high enough to hope he caught the boys attention, "Rexyl.. it's Dad... Please.. I'm sorry.. take me home.."

Nothing...

"REXYL, WAKE UUUUPPP!!!"

Things were happening that Yamcha couldn't explain... he'd been getting a really heavy pain in his chest that he didn't know where it came from. He'd decided to go back to the hospital.. to see if Nexus woke up yet. But as he neared it, the sky had grown dark.

"Shenron?"

"Yamcha! The sky is all dark and scary!" Puar started to flip out.

"Puar, go back home.." Yamcha shook his head when Puar started to protest, "I mean it! Go back to Master Roshi's and wait until I come back! It's too dangerous for you here."

As she reluctantly left, Yamcha sped into the direction of the darkened sky. He got there within minutes, but as he landed, he saw Shenron rise and start to disappear. But before he did, Yamcha caught a glance of a yellow energy ball attach itself to Shenron as he left and the sky returned to normal.

Yamcha heard a cry and his attention turned to Goku, wjo was in Piccolo's arms, and he was holding an unconscious Rexyl. Dammit.. how much did Yamcha miss?! Yamcha glanced around, seeing that Gynoxyz was hiding literally a few feet from Goku and Piccolo.

"He knew that Shenron couldn't help.. he was using you to pull summon him.." Piccolo's voice rang over Yamcha's ears.

"I feel so stupid.." Goku's voice was thick with hurt and Yamcha could hear it was shaky, like he'd been crying, "How could I not have seen it?"

"He fooled us all, Goku.." Piccolo disappears with Goku then.

Yamcha was speechless. His head turned towards Gynoxyz. He knew the God knew he was there, but that didn't stop him from walking closer, "I saw that orb.. what did you do to Shenron?"

Yamcha glanced around, barely giving Gynoxyz any time to answer, if he was going to, "What.. why did you do this? You lied to Goku.. for what? Your amusement?" Yamcha shook his head, his face twisting, "God.. your sense of humor disgusts me! Wake up! You're HURTING people!"

He was on fire. Again. He knew that was what it was. Flames crackled and churned all around him, like a wall of red water, rising up around him during a typhoon. It was pure agony, torture at its fullest, and he was caught in the tempest. His body felt as if it were being wrenched around, his flesh melting away, everything becoming nothing but ashes. Was it really going to end like this? He felt like he'd been in this situation before...But from where? And when?

In his minds eye he could see that his body was being consumed by the flames, his skin burning. But he could not wake. He screams again, it hurt so much.

After a second or so, he could hear something. A voice. Speaking to him. It was Bardock...Dad...But he could not answer, could not comply to what he was being asked. To be forgiven. He said he was sorry...but that was not enough. He had hurt Goku...so shouldn't he be punished? But why...why was he hurting too? Then the voice became louder, a yell, telling him to wake up.

It hurt...why? Why did it hurt so much? This did not make any sense! He screams even louder now, he was going to die. He knew it, he was going to die again. And this time, he was not going to be saved. Then the thought of seeing Goku runs through his mind, knowing how sad that Goku-nii would be if he died...that would be...sad...No, he had to see Goku again...Tears streamed down his face, as he struggles. He had to try...for Goku...

Slowly, his eyes open, stinging from the tears that welled up there, and looks around. Seeing that Nexus, and Goku, and everyone was there. His skin felt so hot, his body was hurting, but there was nothing wrong, there were no blankets covering him. The sudden realization what he had done suddenly comes to him, in a rush, and with that sudden thought, he begins to cry even more. He had hurt Goku's dad, which made him no better...

"I am sorry!!!" He sobs, covering his face with his hands, not wanting them to see his face. Nexus looks at the small male with a sad looks on his face, frowning. "Rexyl..." He murmurs, seeing the boy cry...it hurt him to see Rexyl in such hurt and sadness. Never again had he wanted for Rexyl to suffer, and yet now he was...again.

After the whole incident, Gynoxyz was about to leave when a voice called out to him. Asking what he had done to the dragon, Shenron. So, the human had seen. Ah well, it did not matter. He crosses his arms over his chest, raising an eyebrow at what Yamcha was saying, tilting his head slightly to the left. Blinking a bit in confusion. Gynoxyz did not see the reasoning at all. How was he hurting people? They weren't in any pain, not that he could see, so why? Why was he being accused of this?

Complete bewilderment was appearing on his face, he truly did not know what he was doing wrong. He too steps closer to the other, so they were merely a few feet away from each other, before speaking up, while shrugging and putting his hands out to his side, palms up.

"I do not know what you're talking about. Yamcha, was it? Why do you say I'm hurting people? I have not caused them any physical pain, I have not injured them, they aren't wounded, so how are they hurt? I see no cause for the harsh words when I've done absolutely nothing wrong..."

He then places a hand on his hip, his other hand going back to rub his neck.

"I'm here to have fun, to entertain myself. Not to cause trouble. And yet, here I am, accused of causing the exact thing I don't want to cause. So, how is that? It doesn't make any sense...Tell me, how am I supposedly hurting people?" He wanted to know, because he truly did not wish to cause trouble for anyone. He wanted peace between himself and this world which he deemed so interesting. However...

As he waited for an answer, he felt a stirring deep within himself, something he had not felt in a while. He grits his teeth, and winces, squeezing one eye shut, grunting softly as he falls to his knee. A black smoke like rope began to form around him, spiraling around his kneeling figure. "Damnit not now..." He growls, opening his eye, revealing not his usual mixture of grey, but an eye of red, gold, and black.

As this all happens, a certain pressure in the air forms, it felt like malcontent, hatred, chaos, evil, everything dark and malicious. It was felt by everyone around, even normal humans, who would perceive this feeling as anything from a bad omen to depressed thoughts. It wasn't exactly like that of a fluctuation in one's power level, no, this was something far more in depth and complicated. It messed with your very emotions.

He, Gynoxyz may not be there for trouble...but there was certainly someone who would have a hayday causing chaos and turmoil...but there was no way that Gynoxyz was going to let that happen. After a moment the cloud around him dissipates, and he stands up, sighing softly.

Goku was the first to see Rexyl trying to open his eyes and he nodded, "Yes, baby! Come back to me! Wake up!" When Rexyl woke and started sobbing, Goku held him against his chest, trying to shush him, "It's okay.. it's okay.."

Inside, Bardock fell to his knees. The flames were coming closer, and he couldn't breathe. Kami had disappeared, and all he could do was wait.

Goku held Rexyl for a few.minutes before he took a deep breath, "Rexyl.. baby.. I need you to think, okay? Where is Dad?"

Piccolo had started to say something, but froze in his tracks. Kami was sending him a message.. an image. Damn it! Bardock was fading fast. He could smell the burning skin.. hear his grunts of pain.. and it hurt. A lot. Piccolo found himself dizzy and before he knew what was going on, his chest and face met the floor, and he closed his eyes.

Yamcha stared at Gynoxyz in shock. He.. wasn't aware he was hurting others?? How could that be? God, he was like a child! Yamcha had to raise a hand, rubbing his temples, "Just because you don't cause bodily harm, doesn't mean they can't hurt inside!"

He extended an arm towards the building, "Did you even LOOK at Goku?! You're messing with his emotions! Making him think that Shenron could help was bad! You're fucking with the pain in his HEART!"

"Goku is one of my closest friends, Gynoxyz!" Yamcha had to calm himself down, "We welcome you here with open arms but you CANNOT hurt people for your own amusement. It's not-" he stopped when he felt that weird, unsettling feeling in the air.

It was familiar.. yes, when Yamcha first met the God, that feeling had made Yamcha leave. But the dark mass hovering above the God made this feeling even worse. Empty.. hatred... lost... unforgiving... nothingness...

That's all Yamcha felt as he stared at the mass. But just as quickly, it disappeared. Yamcha was able to breathe normally again, "What the hell was that..?"

Shaking his head back and forth fervently, Rexyl could not answer at first. He did not know, he was so confused. For him, it felt like he'd been living that moment all over again. Now he remembered what it was. The day that he had nearly died, blasted and burned by Nexus. His eyes shift just for a moment to look over at the red eyed warrior, who was looking back at him with worry in his eyes, a scared expression on his face. Then, his gaze drifts to the ring that was on his finger. Even though Nexus had hurt him...Rexyl knew that Nexus had not done it on purpose. He had regretted every moment after, living in his own hell, created by his remorse, guilt, and overwhelming sadness. So...he should not make Nexus suffer any longer. It wouldn't be fair.

Looking away, and up at Goku, he did not want to admit this, but speaks any ways. "I...do not know where he is. I sent him away, but I do not know. If I try to remember, I think I was there too for a brief moment, it was terrible. A fire was all around, and it felt like I was dying again..." He reaches up, and rubs a hand across his forehead, trying to remember where it was, and what to do to bring him back.

His eyes flicker over to look at Piccolo, who had collapsed on to the floor. "Piccolo?" Nexus asks, speaking up, his voice filled with worry for the Nemekian. "Are you alright?" A frown was on the warrior's face, and Rexyl could sense the fear that was growing deep within all of those in the room, even his own body was filled with negativity. It had come suddenly, what was it? He looks away, towards the door of the room, wondering if something was going on outside.

"What...am I supposed to do?" He whispers softly, feeling terrible, darkness welling up within him. He felt a pain that was not his own growing rapidly from deep within his mind, hear a faint gasping for breath, smell the smoke of fire that was not there physically with them. He'd sent Bardock to his fiery death, and now here he, Rexyl was, not even having a clue what to do...He had to think...

All the words that Yamcha had spoken echoed within his mind as he tried to gain control again. It was an internal struggle, the beast within was tired of being locked away, and wanted to be free. But there was no way in hell he was going to let that happen. Gynoxyz looks up at Yamcha, then looks away, closing his eyes, still hearing those things that the other had said resounding in his ears. Was he really hurting people? Was there truly pain that he could not see in others? But how was that? It made absolutely no sense...if one was not wounded, physically, then how could they hurt? It was not logical...

"What you speak of...It is emotion...is it not?"

He then reopens his eyes, to gaze once more at Yamcha. The look in his eyes were of emptiness, void of anything that one might call emotion. But a blackness was stirring deep within, the unequal colors of his eyes, one grey and silver, while the other red, gold, and black. He felt as if something was beginning to break within him, as he realized what Yamcha was saying was true, and guilt began to overwhelm him. No...he had to keep his composure. No emotion, feel nothing. He had to keep control, or he'd get out!

Gritting his teeth, a look of loss appears on his face, pained and begging, as he gazed at Yamcha. He wheezes suddenly, as it became hard to breathe, and a hand goes to clutch his chest. The cloud appears slowly again, and so do those negative waves, once more. His heart felt heavy, and a droplet of sweat drips down the side of his face. Among any of the adversaries that had come to face Goku, Piccolo, and all the others on earth in earlier days, this feeling they would all get would be filled with more dread than before, unlike any foe they had ever fought. It was terror, pure and simple. A darkness that was not to be underestimated. If they'd thought the feeling they had gotten from Exodys was bad...this would be one hundred times worse.

"Stop...stop it...Stop making me feel this way. Please, don't make me feel so bad...If I hurt them, I never meant to...I do not understand these emotions, I can not understand them. If I feel...then Revoluxyz...Will come out..." The only feelings he could experience without risking letting the darkness escape was amusement, and a sense of calm, and fro the most part happiness to a degree.

His fingers clasp even tighter at his chest as it hurt terribly, with each heart beat the sensation of dread and emptiness grew, like the dark cloud forming above them, the storm was beginning to churn. A roll of thunder could be heard, and the air around them became windy, tugging wildly at Gynoxyz's hair and clothing, pushing and pulling at his body. It was no good struggling...It was bound to happen...

"Get...get away...from me...please...I don't want to hurt you too..."

Piccolo was laying on the ground. He could hear Nexus' worried voice, although it sounded like someone stuffed cotton in his ears. He felt a hand set on his neck, and then they said he was okay. Who was okay?? He tried to move.. but the only thing he felt was a burning sensation, and the breaking pf his heart. What was this? Why was he feeling this way? And why was his body burning? Piccolo, his eyes closed, grunted, straining to react with whoever was by him. That's when Piccolo heard it.. the crackling of fire, he smelled the stench of burning flesh. Heard a familiar cry for help.. then it all disappeared.

"Piccolo!" Goku tried to call to his friend, but he didn't leave Rexyl's side. As the younger male fretted, Goku shook his head, "It's okay.. you'll remember, and then Dad will come home." He tried to smile reassuringly. Not just to Rexyl, but to Nexus as well.

Raj held a hand on Piccolo's shoulder, and he jumped when Piccolo finally moved. Piccolo, with a cry out, got to his hands and knees. He breathed hard, "Goku..."

Goku stopped talking, sensing some kind of urgency coming from Piccolo, "Piccolo.. what's.. what is it?"

Piccolo's face was never seen, but the hurt almost radiated from his voice as he spoke, "We.. we're too late.."

Goku let out a breath. At that moment, he'd forgotten that anyone else was there. After a moment, Goku shook his head, tears threatening to fall, "What.. what do you mean 'too late'? My father is still out there Somewhere.."

Piccolo shook his head then, finally raising his eyes to Meet Goku's face, "I don't... I lost his energy trail.. Goku, I'm sorry.."

"No.." Goku got to his feet then. He took a step away from the bed Rexyl was on. No.. no, that couldn't be true. His emotions were sky-rocketing. The force of his power was causing a draft inside the room in which his clothes and hair were moving then. Both hands raised, balling themselves in Goku's dark hair as the fear went away, and panic started to sink in.

"No.. no, don't.. don't say that.." Goku wasn't even talking to anyone at that moment. He could feel eyes on him, and the uncontrollable wave of pain finally crashed over his body. He sank to the ground and let out the loudest, heart-wrenching cry of pain that Raj and Piccolo had ever seen or heard from him.

At the same time, Goku's hair went from black to blue, and his eyes turned a golden color. His "God" form.. he'd only used it a couple of times, one in which he defeated Frieza after he was resurrected. The force of this power was almost too much for bbc.co this room to take, and the walls , ceiling, and floor started to crack and crumble.

Raj wanted to help, he wanted to say something. But he couldn't move. Nothing he said or did would help. He knew this.. Piccolo knew this...

Piccolo could only watch. As the walls and floor around them started to crack under the pressure Goku was releasing, Piccolo realized that if Goku continued, the room would give. "Goku.. Goku, I know it hurts, but you have to stop!"

Goku wasn't listening anymore. His teeth clenched, tears pouring down his face, he let out a pained grunt, his power still sky-rocketing and then diminishing. Since a God's power can't be detected. A flash of black spandex flashed just as Goku let out another scream, raising the power even higher.

"ENOUGH!!"

SMACK!!

Goku was hit, and any power that had built up immediately dropped to normal. The blue aura vanished. The only thing that was left was Goku, sitting on his bottom, and he was holding the side of his face where he was struck.

Vegeta stood in front of him, glaring down at Goku as if he'd insulted his family. Both hands grabbed Goku's shirt and pulled him up, face to face with the smaller Saiyan, "Stop it right now!! Be a man and quit your blubbering!! If you want to blow the place up then do it when no one else is around, you hear me, clown?!"

Goku stared at Vegeta, slight fear on his face. But he nodded to Vegeta's words, unable to respond at the moment. Vegeta tsked before leaning up, and then he turned to Piccolo, "And you!" He raised a hand, pointing right at Piccolo, "How dare you scare Kakarot the way you did! You know damn well the damned fool is Still Alive!!"

Piccolo blinked. Still alive?? Did Vegeta know something he didn't?

Vegeta waited, and upon the hushed silence, his eyes widened, "What? You mean to tell me you don't know about the marks? You're supposed to know everything, and yet you know nothing about your own marks! If your mate dies and they mark you, then Their Marks vanish, too! But Bardock's mark is still prominently displayed on yours and Nexus' shoulders!"

Vegeta turned again, this time to Rexyl, "The only person who can save Bardock is you. So I suggest you start remembering."

It did not take long for Piccolo to finally respond, and move. But once he was to his feet, the words that came out of the Nemekian's mouth were not the ones that he wanted to hear. Not in the least. And the same went for Rexyl, who had a shocked look on his face. No, that could not be true. It wasn't true! There was no way that this could happen. Bardock can't be dead, he'd feel it...something deep within both of the Xerothuans told them that they would be able to sense if Bardock was truly deceased, and neither of them got that sensation. So...why was Piccolo saying what he was? It made no sense.

Nexus was spacing out, caught in his own shock, while Rexyl watched as Goku nearly lost it, eyes widening as the Saiyan began to change in appearance. Grief overtook the man, abolishing all reason. All around them the room began to succumb to the pressure of whatever was going on, the walls, floor, and ceiling cracking and crumbling. Rexyl was scared, and he bites his bottom lip to prevent it from trembling. This was not like Goku at all...he'd seen sadness, but this...this was different. Was it the cause of something else? Was something, or someone increasing the misery that Goku was feeling?

It did not get far, as suddenly Vegeta smacks Goku hard, and even in the midst of all this Rexyl felt a bubble form, as he glares at Vegeta, hissing quietly under his breath. He knew that Vegeta had done it to smack Goku back in to his senses, but Rexyl could not help but feel anger for the other daring to lay a hand on his loved one. Gritting his teeth, he watches as Goku was yanked up by the front of his shirt, and Vegeta said some rather rude things.

But then Vegeta turned his attention to Piccolo, stating something that he felt to be true. Bardock was still alive. Nexus looks to him, eyes wide, yearning for this. So...what he felt was true. Bardock was alive. His eyes glances down to the marking on his shoulder, which Bardock had given him when he'd returned after coming back from the dead. It had vanished the moment he'd died, which, at first, had come as quite the shock. He'd seen that scar as something precious, and held it dear to his heart.

Nexus follows Vegeta's actions, and when he turned to Rexyl, he narrows his eyes. Rexyl himself backs up slightly, putting up a guard, and winces at the harshness of the words that were said. Easier said than done. He could do nothing under all this pressure, and he was starting to crack. He already felt terrible as it was, and now this...this made it worse. His chest felt tight, and he knew that he was close to crying.

"I already know that! It is not like I can remember on demand, you big meanie! I am sorry, I said I was sorry, so leave me alone!!!" Despite feeling weak, he manages to quickly get off the bed he had been placed in and scurries out of the room, tears could be seen dripping down his face and falling through the air in his wake. The door slams behind him, and bare feet could be heard gradually fading away in to the distance.

"Rexyl..." Nexus murmurs, feeling pity for the younger Xerothuan. For all that he had been through, Nexus could not imagine what the other was feeling, it was too much for him to think. "You know, you could have been a little more gentle with your words Vegeta. He doesn't take well to people who are so harsh." He turns his gaze to Vegeta, glaring at him through narrowed eyes.

Rexyl ran and ran, until he could run no more. He had gone up stairs, down hallways, through doors, up and down streets and sidewalks, and now he was on top of a random roof. Gasping for breath, he falls to his hands and knees, tears pouring, sobs coming in great heaves. He did not know what to do. Nothing made any sense. The wind pulled harshly at his kimono and hair, robbing the wind right out of his lungs, causing him to cry even more. How was he supposed to bring Bardock back? He couldn't remember!

Tossing his head back, he lets out a screaming cry, and right then rain began to fall, soon soaking his clothes and body entirely. Over and over he screams, shouting out to the heavens, wailing loudly, weeping for the things he could not handle, everything that was happening. It was too much.

"WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?!?!?! SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!"

But he knew that there was no one...No one could help him. Not Nexus, not Goku, not Piccolo, or Krillen, or Yamcha. Nobody. He was alone. Just like always. But then again, he wasn't completely alone. He still had him...but that man...frightened him so much. And it was not as if they could help anyways. He probably knew nothing.

He knelt there, slumped and defeated, wanting nothing more than to melt away, to disappear. But he knew that couldn't happen. He could not just run away from the things he had done. No, that would just make things worse, and no doubt if he did that Bardock would die for real. Covering his face with his hands, entire body trembling with his cries, he just didn't know what to do...He tried to remember, but it just wasn't working.

"Please....somebody...what am I supposed to do? I do not know...P-please...help me..." He whispers, defeat could be heard in his voice. Something nudges at his memory, what it was, he did not know, but it was enough to recall what he needed to do. Then, without a thought, he speaks. "Fuoruyizu Mixutor: Kaiki." The reaction was much like when he had sent Bardock away, and the effect was enough to be felt all the way from the distance he'd gone to the others in the room. Which was quite the distance indeed. After the initial explosion of light, it seemed inverted rather than outwards this time, the light going in on itself. A sound of a huge explosion resounds around him, shaking the walls of the hospital room.

After this happens, a tug was felt, and he passes out, but right before that happens in the room with the others a form begins to appear, and after a moment or two, Bardock could be seen. He was back. But Rexyl...Rexyl was gone. He lay there on that roof, rain falling down on him, and tears dripping from his closed eyes, unaware of what he had just done. He felt lost...So alone.

"Rexyl!" Goku seemed to have come to as he saw Rexyl dart from the room. He got to his hands and knees, preparing to get up and go after him but Vegeta came over, grabbing his arms just as he did so, "No, no, you have to let go! He'll get hurt out there!"

"Dammit, Kakarot! Get a hold of yourself! Rexyl is a grown kid and he will be fine!"

"No! You don't know what he's been through!" Goku tried to plead with Vegeta, shaking his head, his breathing becoming more erratic.

"Let him deal with his own demons and quit coddling him!" Vegeta started to say more, but the burst of light from the window nearly blinded him and he cried out, covering his face with his gloved hands. When the light dissipated, Vegeta opened his eyes, wincing as he rubbed them, "Everyone alright?"

Piccolo had shielded his own face, but he nodded to Vegeta's statement, "Yeah.."

"Dude.." Raj rubbed his eyes, his curly brown hair shaking slightly, "What the hell was that??"

No sooner than Raj asked the question, Bardock's body suddenly came out of nowhere and hit the ground, hard. Everyone was speechless at first, but Goku was the first to break the silence, "Dad..?"

"Oh shit!" Raj stared at Bardock, his mouth agape, "Is he breathing?"

Bardock's skin was burned slightly, and against the cool air, his whole body was steaming. His armour was off, and the only thing on his body was his boots, his pants, and the red bandanna he always wore. Piccolo moved, softly touching Bardock's neck, "Raj.. get some water. He's alive but he needs to be cooled off and fast."

Raj nodded, filling a large bowl he found with cool water and he tossed two rags in the bowl. After he set it down, Goku slid over, taking Bardocks hand in his, "Dad.."

"Kakarot.."

Goku let out a gasp, "I'm here! It's okay, you're going to be alright!"

Bardock's breath hitched as a cool rag was placed on his chest to slowly cool him off, "So cold... feels good though.." his eyes slowly opened, but his brain was still groggy from the heat, "I saw Hell.."

Goku let out another breath, one hand moving to his father's face, "What?"

"Have you seen Hell?" He let out a small breath, the deleriousness taking over, "One big room with no doors.. open space of burning fire.. hearing tortured screams of people... god and the smell. The scent is burning flesh... and you gaze into the nothingness and you ask yourself... am I dead?" He sighed again, "I'm going to Hell for what I did.."

Goku shook his head again, tears threatening to fall once again, "No.. no, it's okay. I forgive you, okay?"

Bardock's eyes, in his state of mind, filled with tears and fell down the corners of his eyes, "How can you forgive me.. when I can't forgive myself?"

Outside, Yamcha was watching Gynoxyz, shock etched on his face as the God struggled within himself. He looked like he was in pain. Yamcha held out a hand, suddenly feeling bad for yelling at him, "Wait, just calm down and tell me what to do! I want to help you.."

Yamcha saw the mass growing again, and he felt the hairs start to stand on end. He was entranced, but after shaking his head, he got serious. He had heard Gynoxyz tell him to leave, but Yamcha shook his head again, "I won't leave you. Fight it! Don't let him win!"

Goku had held onto Bardock's hand, but when he glanced up, he gasped, "Rexyl! Dad, I'll be back, but I have to find Rexyl, okay?" He stood, making his way to the door.

Vegeta snatched Goku's arm, pulling him back, "Your father needs you and you're leaving??"

Goku looked at Vegeta, a little bit of shock on his face, "Rexyl needs me, too.." when Vegeta started to protest, Goku pulled his arms away, "No, you don't understand!"

"I DO understand!" Vegeta reached up, placing a hand on Goku's face, "I loved you.. remember?"

Goku stared in shock at Vegeta. It had been the first time the other Saiyan had muttered those words to him, "Don't.. please don't do this now.. I can't.. I can't handle it.."

Vegeta sighed, clenching his teeth together. He was going to regret this, "Just stay.. I'll look for the brat." Vegeta moved past Goku to walk out the room.

"Thank you, Vegeta.."

Vegeta stopped at the doorway, turned, and for the first time ever actually smiled, "I'll be back soon."

  • 1 month later...

It was all happening so fast. The darkness within his own heart was beginning to eat him alive. Devour his every bit of light. It hurt, terribly, as his own soul was being yanked at within his body, by a darker one that was so desperately trying to take over his consciousness. Even though he heard the words spoken to him by Yamcha, he could not do what he was being told. He could not fight. The struggle was close to being over, and the tug-of-war was a losing battle. There was no way that he could win. He'd fought for so long to keep himself stable for this long, over a millennia, but now the bonds were loosened by the doubt he felt within his mind.

Letting out a scream of pain, he falls to his knees, shoulders slumping, and for a moment he was still. No movement came from him, no noise, nothing. Silence enveloped him. However, the gradually increasing sensation of fear did not die, the feeling of something terrible and chaotic growing little by little, as seconds passed by slowly.

A color change all around him began taking place, black moving around, as if ink was being spilled all over him. His hair gradually becomes pitch black, as dark as the darkest night. His light skin becomes tanned, and black symbols flow all over any skin that could be seen, reaching up his neck and stopping at his jaw. Even his white clothing turns black, with a bit of grey here and there.

After a moment he looks up, gold and red eyes gaze chillingly at Yamcha despite the warm colors that made one think of fire. A sick grin was on his lips, and it was obvious that something was out of place. A wink follows, and whoever it was that was standing there now gets to his feet rather quickly, backing away. Eyes shifting to look here and there, taking in the sight of what was around him, before looking at his own body as if he'd never seen it before. Clenching his hands, flexing his fingers. A satisfied look was in his eyes, and that grin did not disappear at all.

"Perfect..." He murmurs, sharp teeth glint in the half light as he spoke. "Looks like Gynoxyz took real good care of the body while I was away."

The man felt conflict and fear in the air, and looking away from the human standing there, his eyes gazing in the direction of where that particular feeling was coming from. Recognizing all too well who it was. The grin that was on his lips grew even more, but it was not a comforting look. No, it was obvious he was up to something. And, without another word, he turns away, stepping forward once before completely disappearing from where he was, gone in a blink of an eye.

Reappearing right where Rexyl was laying, passed out cold in the rain that was falling from above. Kneeling down, he scoops the small male up in his arms, ignoring the rain that was beginning to soak his own clothing like it had done with Rexyl's kimono. It didn't matter, he couldn't get sick, so he wasn't all that effected by the water.

Hearing footsteps coming closer, he looks around to see someone come around the corner. A warrior of some sorts. He didn't saying anything, as the man came even closer. But before he could approach him and the unconscious Rexyl, the man smirks evil-like, a glint in his eyes. Saying nothing again, he steps forward, and like before, was gone within a flash, no trace of him being there left behind. However, on the ground where Rexyl had been laying was the small wooden case that held his fan.

Back in the hospital, Nexus was worried for both Bardock and Rexyl. He stayed put where he was, silent, but watching everything that was happening. His thumb gently rubbing the empty spot where a ring should have been. He still couldn't believe that he'd lost the ring that Bardock had given to him that day, but right now was not the time to be worrying about such trivial things.

"Piccolo...can you sense Rexyl's energy?" He asks suddenly, noticing that he could no longer pick up on the signal that the boy was giving off, no matter how faint, Nexus had always been able to keep track of that energy. But now, all of a sudden, that energy was gone...Vanished. Worry was in his eyes, as he glanced from Piccolo, to Bardock, to Goku, and back again to the Nemekian.

"I don't like this feeling I'm getting. It's very similar to his energy..." Chewing the inside of his cheek, he couldn't help but feel exasperated. Great. Just what they needed. Another enemy, when things were finally beginning to become normal and peaceful.

Yamcha couldn't take his eyes away. Staring as Gynoxyz changed forms, He felt this chaotic energy rise. He fell backwards, on his bottom as he glanced into the eyes of the one he believed was evil itself. Yamcha felt only fear, pain, heartache... only bad things as he struggled to move. In the blink of an eye, however, he was gone... Yamcha was left there, shaking and trembling from the overwhelming horror that took place.

It didn't take Vegeta long to find Rexyl's energy, so finding him was just as easy. As he rounded the corner, Vegeta growled softly, "You better stay put, brat. Kakarot seems to have gotten fond of your ass.." he rounded another corner, just in time to see a man leaning over Rexyl's unmoving body. Vegeta stopped in his tracks, his eyes wide.

Then, he snarled softly, his nose wrinkling as if he were an angry dog growling at an intruder, "Back off, that brat is going back with me!" He took one step, and realized they both were gone. All that was left was an uncontrollable sense of fear. Vegeta wasn't afraid of many things... but this feeling scared him.

Vegeta shook his head, "Dammit, no.." he noticed the box where Rrxyl had been laying. He picked up the box, shaking his head, "I'm sorry, Kakarot.. I failed you.."

With that, Vegeta rose into the air. He had to get back to that hospital as fast as he could. Nexus would know something, he was sure of it. Before he could think anything else, Vegeta looked down, shocked to see Yamcha sitting, and looked like he'd seen a ghost. "What??" Vegeta landed, feet away from Yamcha, "Yamcha?"

Yamcha was silent, his back to Vegeta as he stared at nothing in front of him. Vegeta glanced where he was staring, but saw nothing. Chills ran up and down his spine as he took a step closer, "Yamcha?"

Still nothing. Yamcha didn't move or blink.

"Yamcha?" Vegeta kneeled beside the man he once knew as a rival, and he gingerly placed a hand on his arm, which, shockingly to Vegeta, was trembling, "Yamcha?"

Yamcha trembled, and blinked, but did not move, "Did you see it?"

Vegeta stared at Yamcha for a minute before he nodded, "What did you see?"

Yamcha's voice shook, and his spine chilling answer resonated through Vegeta's ears, "He'll kill us all.. We're nothing but pawns in his game.. and we all will lose.."

Piccolo had finally gotten Bardock cooled off enough so he could rest, thanks to help from Raj and Goku. Since Vegeta left, Piccolo had been feeling an odd disturbance in the air. Where it was coming from, he wasn't certain. But he knew Goku felt it, too. When Nexus asked him if he'd sensed Rexyl, it took a moment for him to realize that he, in fact, didn't sense the child. Piccolo was about to say so when he heard the door open, and Vegeta came through it, carrying Yamcha in his arms.

Vegeta set Yamcha down and he sighed softly. Goku was staring at him, shocked to see Vegeta didn't have Rexyl. Confused, Goku shook his head at Vegeta, "Vegeta, where..?"

Vegeta fought with the right words, "Kakarot.. there was.. someone else.." Vegeta held out the box for Goku, a saddened look on his face, "He was.. too quick. I had found him, but.. this man has Rexyl.."

Goku shook his head again, taking the box in which held Rexyl's weapon. He didn't understand! Who took him?! Goku turned his head to Nexus, his features changed into slight anger. Someone knew what was going on.. and he had a feeling it was Nexus, But "What are you not telling us?"

Raising his eyes from where he was staring at the blankets on the bed when he heard the door open, he was surprised to see that Vegeta was back, but not with Rexyl. No, instead, Yamcha was with him. Remaining silent, not saying a word, he lets Goku ask what was up, and the words that came from Vegeta's mouth made a sinking sensation form in the pit of his stomach, confirming the thoughts that he'd been struggling with for a while now, ever since hearing that Gynoxyz was there, and definitely after seeing the god for himself.

Looking away when Goku's gaze turned to him, he bites his bottom lip at the accusing and angry stare that he could feel, even though he was not seeing it directly. A look of guilt makes it's way on to his face, a shadowed expression within his eyes when he was asked what he was not telling them. It wasn't as if he didn't want to, as if he was withholding this information on purpose...it was because, as a Xerothuan, he had that normal sense of duty to keep the secrets of his people just that...a secret.

However, now that Rexyl, and everyone in the room were in danger...no, the entire world's population was in danger, he knew that he had to speak up and tell the others just what was going on. However, he did not know what to say. For almost five to ten minutes he sat there, silent, trying to think of the right thing to say...he wanted to tell them, but at the same time...keep some of his people's legacy a secret. Taking a deep breath, he speaks up, his voice emotionless as he explains.

"It's...Revoluxyz. He's the dark side of the coin. You see, Gynoxyz is the god of the beginning, light, creation, calm, and life. He might have a weird way of depicting that, but that's definitely what he is. And, just as every good thing in this world has a counterpart of bad...so does he. Gynoxyz, the epiphany of light, his flip side is Revoluxyz. God of the end, darkness, destruction, chaos, and death. You may have thought that Exodys was bad...well, he's NOTHING compared to Revoluxyz... Exodys wanted the end of me, and with a purpose no less. Revoluxyz...he kills for game. To him, it's nothing but a way to have fun, to pass time. Blood shed to him is nothing but chaotic fun."

He pauses, rubbing his hand against the back of his head. Nexus didn't know exactly why the black god had gone after Rexyl, but he had his theories. And they weren't good either.

"See, Rexyl, well...Rexyl is rather special. And, I think that Revoluxyz is going to try and...use his...lets say...power...to try and create a world of his own liking...and if he succeeds, we won't win this one. Even I'm not match for him. Against Gynoxyz, one who holds back his power and can still silence me in a second, think about it if I tried going up against Revoluxyz, who doesn't do that. He goes all out, not fifty, not seventy five percent. No, he goes even beyond one hundred percent."

Shaking his head, he then falls silent, not saying anything else. Staring in the opposite direction of where the others were standing or sitting. He knew they probably were disappointed in him, but what was he supposed to do? He'd thought that Gynoxyz, as much as he hated the guy, had a good hold on the darker side of himself. But apparently not...unless someone had made him doubt himself...

"Who...who saw him last?" He asks, wanting to confirm this. "Did you say or do anything that might make him...doubt?"

In an empty apartment complex, down ridden and broken, sat that man. Longing for the moment where he could exact revenge to take place. However, when the person returned, he was surprised to see that it was no longer Gynoxyz, but Revoluxyz. And in his arms were the boy that he'd brought that time before the fight. His eyes narrow, and he frowns. "What are you doing? What have you done with Gynoxyz, and why do you have that kid?"

He didn't get an answer though. All that happens next was a large ball of black compressed energy was shot at him, blasting right through his shoulder, causing him to scream out in pain. Gritting his teeth, he glares at Revoluxyz. "You bastard...I'll make you pay for this...however, right now is not the time..." Gripping his bleeding shoulder, he glances to the unconscious kid that had been placed on the ground, and without another word phases out. He had to find Nexus.

Focusing on the energy he knew so well, he finds where they are located, and arrives outside the hospital, collapsing. His body wasn't healed enough, the pulsating mark on his neck glowing dimly. "Damn it..." He groans, his vision doubling, vertigo taking over his body, and dizziness making him fall over and land on the ground.

Using his last bit of strength that he could risk using, he sends his thoughts towards the men in the room. His voice was the same, but instead of like the other times, it wasn't filled with that venom. No, instead it was urgency, and bitterness.

"NEXUS! I know you're in there, so listen up. I know where Revoluxyz is..." Closing his eyes, he sighs softly, why now? Why did he have to do this? He wasn't reborn just so he could help the person whom he was here to wreak vengeance on...

Piccolo stared at Nexus, shock coming over his face. Why had Nexus held this information? It was crucial! What he asked then peaked his interest. Who last saw him? Gynoxyz? Piccolo's head turned to Yamcha, who was still in a state of catatonic paralysis. Yes, it made sense! Yamcha must have spoken to Gynoxyz before Revoluxyz took over! That's why Yamcha looked like he's seen fear itself. Piccolo rose to his feet, taking Yamcha's arm, "Listen to me.. snap out of it, Yamcha!"

Vegeta tsked annoyedly, wrinkling his nose again, "Just leave him! He's useless."

Piccolo's eyes trailed up to Vegeta, "He obviously made Gynoxyz doubt everything... I think Yamcha will be proving to be more useful than we think..." Piccolo shook his arm again, "Do you hear me?! Yamcha, wake up!"

Goku finally moved, making his way in front of Yamcha and he slowly leaned to one knee. "Yamcha.." his voice was soft, and there was exhaustion there from being upset most of the day, "Please... I need you." Goku had never said it out loud, moreover because it had not been true. But this time, he spoke the truth, "You're my only hope.. help me find Rex-"

Goku had stopped, like everyone else had stopped, when they jeaed a familiar voice come across their minds. Goku gasped inwardly, "What?? It.. it can't be!"

The sound of his voice was what made Bardock open his eyes. Flashing from gold back to a bright hazel once again, he let out a soft growl. He rose from the bed and quickly made his own exit out the window. Shards of glass exploded outwards, and he fell from three stories. Landing on his feet seconds before the glass hit the ground, Bardock growled again. His tail moved, swaying like that of a cat as he rose his eyes to the man, "Exodys.."
