Heart of Ice
The wolf’s howl comes across The darkening of the night Skimming across the fields of wheat Far from eyes line of sight Towards the direction of the fallen sun Which must have lost its way During the timeless setting Leaving only the darkness surreal and blackness perfect Across from Black Hawk bay Silence hangs in the air As the clouds creep Towards the nameless moon Covering the glowing brilliance That caused the wolves to howl The howls ceased when the moon was covered And waited for the day to come seconds, minutes, hours gone by and the glowing sun rose Glorious day come and night be gone To tomorrows to never look back Because there will always be a tomorrow
