ZX-MetalMonster
-"They can't like you too much considering how we started off, it will be fine once they get use to you being around here though." Nikandros was being more enthusiastic than suitable as well but only in order to reassure the warrior. Realistically he doubted the younger man would ever become one of them or be fully accepted and it worried him because he wondered how well they could could live together with that. He wouldn't bring that up now though, there was no point when he still had no solutions in mind. -"There will be a lot of other people you can talk to though so forget about them." Nikandros added and moved to the bed to sit down since he didn't know what else to do. Even after their walk he still felt restless and was sick of lying around and being so inactive. WolfDog12
"Alright, I understand." Goustetsu watched as Nikandros sat down before grabbing his sword. "I've done nothing but stay in bed all day for a while now and since I'm finally able to move properly again, I'm going to go train outside for a bit. You stay here and I'll be back soon." He leaned in and gave the bandit leader a quick peck on the cheek before he began to head out. The warrior only put on his glove armor and left the rest in the room. He didn't need those for training. Before he could object, the warrior hurried out the door and back out into the snow. He disappeared in the white snow and dark of the night. The warrior didn't want Nikandros to see how different Goustetsu was now that he didn't have the deity's power surging through his body,
ZX-MetalMonster
Being just as unhappy about staying in bed all day as the warrior was, Nikandros thought of offering him a friendly battle as soon as he reached for his sword but understood very well that the younger man wanted to be away from him once he spoke. It caused a frown to form on his lips and he made no effort to hide it even when the other man kissed. Everything had changed since he'd first met the warrior but the reason he'd taken him to the hideout and kept him alive back then was so he could fight him again and he still wanted that. Still he didn't say anything in protest as he was left alone in the room. A long while passed before Nikandros though of somewhere to go and something to do that wouldn't bring him in the same room as anyone who was making him angry at that moment. He got up and left without much care that he wouldn't be there once the warrior returned.
WolfDog12
The warrior was out for over an hour and by the time he returned, it was almost one in the morning and the temperature outside was well into the negatives again. The male patted the snow off his head and shoulders as he was also wiping away the sweat on him. The male quietly ran some water and took care of himself before he returned to the bedroom. It was very dark and Goustetsu wasn't too worried if the bandit was there or not. He figured the other was probably asleep so the white-haired male got changed silently and climbed onto the bed. His body temperature was still very low from being outside and from sweating in such icy conditions so he stayed as close to the edge of the bed as he could so he wouldn't wake or freeze the other male. Goustetsu didn't even know if Nikandros was there or not but he fell asleep very quickly.
ZX-MetalMonster
Nikandros was uninterested in sleep that night and didn't hurry back so when he returned the warrior was already in bed and asleep. He climbed beside him and still wide awake was tempted to press up against him, caress his skin or kiss him but knew that he shouldn't and forced himself to be quiet and still while lying beside him. He wouldn't admit it easily even to himself but he was upset with the younger man even over something as minor as being forbidden to follow him for a short while. Thinking of that made him additionally restless and impatient to either fall asleep or be allowed some contact with the warrior but hours passed before he drifted off. WolfDog12
When morning came around, the warrior woke at a reasonable hour and sat up to look around. He took notice of Nikandros still asleep for the time and carefully got out of the bed. The male's skin was a little warmer to the tough despite still having that eternal chill about it. Goustetsu fixed his hair that was sticking up on one side and went to get breakfast. Before he left, however, he stopped and looked back. If Nikandros woke before the warrior returned, he'd probably get even angrier. The warrior walked back and gently sat on the end of the bed. ZX-MetalMonster
Despite spending most of the night killing time around the hideout it didn't take much to wake Nikandros up thanks to how long he'd been lying around in bed before that. Shortly after the warrior got up he took note of it but only opened his eyes enough to glance at him and then turned his head to the side. -"Morning... going somewhere?" He asked with something alike annoyance present in his voice making it clear that he was still unhappy with hos things played out the previous night. To him, there wasn't much difference between the younger man leaving and keeping at a distance like this. He'd hoped the warrior would be right beside him when he woke up so he was fairly disappointed.
WolfDog12
"You're unhappy about me leaving you yesterday, aren't you?..." His hands clenched and Goustetsu was also angry but for another reason. "I thought you agreed I wasn't some cat you could just keep locked up in this place!! I left because I don't need to be kept on a leash; especially one so short. I'm different from when we first met and I'm not use to it so I need to train myself, and yet, you won't even let me do that." The warrior stood up and glared at the bandit leader. The male was clearly steaming with pure anger and he hated even himself for it. Everything was different... Goustetsu had been on a tight leash all his life as he worked for the village and the deity but now he was just passed off to someone else to keep watch over him. The warrior wondered what it was like to actually be free for once and it was clear on his face of his intentions. The male took a few steps away from the bed as if he were going to make a run for it and would actually take the freedom he wanted. In a single night, he had drawn distant from the bandit leader making their walk and everything that happened to them that was good, feel insignificant and pointless. ZX-MetalMonster
Nikandros pulled himself up and was about to tell the warrior to go ahead and leave but reasoned with himself in time to prevent something so stupid from coming out of his mouth. In stead he was silent, his eyes narrowed in a glare and fixed on the younger man while he struggled not to act out on his anger. -"You wanted to leave and you left, I didn't stop you... How I feel about it is my own freedom." He ended up saying, apparently unhappy but controlling himself enough not to outright argue. It was starting to seem to him like the younger man was with him only so he could separate from the deity and now was about to leave him behind with much more ease. -"What do you want to do so badly that I'm stopping you from doing any way?" The bandit asked, strangely both curious and angry. The only thing he'd told the warrior not to do was go out on his own, and he wondered how often the other man could possibly want to run off that it drove him to rebelling like this. WolfDog12
Goustetsu could see how hard it was for the bandit to hold back and realize he himself was being probably a bit unreasonable. "I'm sorry but I just need to get stronger. I want to be strong enough to face you the way you wanted us to fight but right now I don't have that ability. The strength you wanted to fight against is gone and I'm too weak to do anything on my own. I'm frustrated and just want a little space when I train..." The male looked down and clenched his fists. He felt horrible for the way he'd been acting but this was the only way. He wanted to stay with Nikandros but the bandit leader himself was the one that showed the younger male what freedom could be but wasn't letting him experience it for himself. Maybe he himself that was in the wrong. The warrior tried to relax and walked back to the bed and laid down covering himself completely with the blankets so all that could be seen were a couple white and black tufts of hair sticking out. ZX-MetalMonster
Not all of the bandit's anger could melt away easily but he at least understood the warrior now and wasn't as worried that he would be left behind. With a light sigh he lowered himself on the bed beside the younger man and watched him even though all he could really see was the blanket he'd wrapped himself up in. -"You could have just told me this last night, we would have argued less..." Nikandros commented but sounded only unhappy and regretful now. -"Most of the people here don't have anything special like my armor to use in battle. If I'm the only person you want to be away from when you train, then you can join the others." He made the observation and hoped the warrior would understand he was trying to be helpful. At first he'd intended to tell him not to worry about fighting but knew the younger man wouldn't be happy if he offered to keep him safe at every moment. WolfDog12
"That's no good..." He mumbled under the covers. "I don't want to be around anyone when I'm training and besides, I don't want to train with those guys." Goustetsu really didn't like the other bandits and it showed. They didn't like him anyway so why should he like them? It didn't even matter. "I'm sorry for not saying something sooner but this is embarrassing enough so is there any way we can just forget about it and move on?" What the bandit leader couldn't see was the warrior's face being bright red from pure embarrassment. He felt horrible for the way he treated the older male but this was a sensitive subject. It is always hard for anyone to admit their weaknesses.
ZX-MetalMonster
-"If that's what you want." Nikandros agreed to forget about this, he'd already mentioned what ideas he had, now he couldn't do anything good by holding on to the topic. -"Stop hiding now, I don't like not being able to see you while we talk." He said with a hint of anger returning to his voice, it was beginning to annoy him that he was having a discussion with a bundle of blankets. He was tempted to just pull the fabric aside but kept in mind that they'd just narrowly avoided an argument and that he shouldn't risk causing more problems. WolfDog12
Goustetsu paused for a minute to try and calm himself and make sure he wasn't still blushing before he drew the blanket down a bit. The male left the blanket over his nose down but at least Nikandros could see the other's eyes. The warrior looked at the other and gripped the blanket tighter clearly showing that he was embarrassed. "So what are we doing today?" He was really trying to change the subject the best he could. (Sorry if replies are slow, my comp isn't working right)
ZX-MetalMonster
Nikandros sighed in defeat and didn't bother arguing because he'd expected something else when he'd asked the warrior to move away the blanket. -"We can go to a village to get things, somewhere no one will recognize either of us?" He offered, it was something that actually needed to be done but was also a way for them to be around each other but not like the previous night. (No worries, I'm in no hurry.) WolfDog12
The warrior thought about it for only a second because he really was excited to go to town so he took a breath and was able to calm himself right down. The smaller male then sat up and got out of the bed. He quickly put all of his gear on including his armor and sword. It was a bit weird but he was so use to being like this that it felt proper for the male to be fully dressed for going into town. "Shall we then?" He offered excitedly. "We can even hit the bookstore!! I've been wanting to get some books to read for a while now." This obviously wasn't a shock; he'd brought this up a few times before but now they were finally able to do it since it wasn't too late anymore. ZX-MetalMonster
Nikandros knew the offer would bring the warrior out from under the blanket and he smiled softly because it worked. "We're not going to conquer them." He joked on account of the younger man gearing up for something that would become a combat situation only in a worse case scenario. "Don't tell me we're starting to rub off on you." He continued as he got up from the bed as well and pulled on more clothes over what he was already wearing. -"I suppose you'll pass as just an overly careful traveler." The bandit leader commented more seriously and headed outside. He himself seemed much different, wearing much warmer and more plain clothing so he would fit in. WolfDog12
"Is it not proper to wear gear like this when going to town? I thought it was some kind of honorable thing...." The male thought over his outfit before he quickly removed all his armor again and followed the bandit in his casual clothing that didn't look warm at all and his sword. He kept his sword looking like a normal traveler now but he still didn't look right with just the white pants and the off white shirt that didn't have full sleeves or even a tight neck. "There we go, now I look completely normal!!" On what standards he was basing that off of was unknown and clearly he had no idea what "Normal" really meant. Still, he seemed confident in his outfit. ZX-MetalMonster
Nikandros shook his head and smiled, amused by the situation but didn't correct the warrior again. He was sure the younger man would become more aware of what was truly normal once they were in the village and they could still get things done even if they did seem a bit odd this once. -"You look fine." He assured him and this time walked outside without giving the smaller male a chance to make changes or protest. Despite having been to villages before and not being as excited about the trip, the bandit was also in a hurry to get to their destination so he could get what he needed. He knew it would had been smart to invite some of his men to come along so they could bring back more supplies but he didn't want to spoil things for the warrior. WolfDog12
Goustetsu found it odd that it really was just the two of them heading into town. He hurried to catch up the Nikandros and asked him while they walked, "Don't you have a lot of supplies to get for the trip? Wouldn't it make more sense to bring along some of the others to help get everything? If they get the supplies you need then we can spend more time doing the things we want to do together rather then doing the things we have to do." The warrior wasn't sure if he should even be meddling in this sort of thing anymore. He looked down a bit just trying to focus on the village. Something between them just felt different to Goustetsu and he had this insane feeling that he had to tread a little more carefully around the Bandit leader, watching what he said as to not anger him again. The last thing the white-haired male wanted to do was to push the two farther from each other then they already had the past couple days.
ZX-MetalMonster
Hearing the warrior's idea Nikandros stopped and thought in silence for a moment with a neutral expression. The reason for his heading out without any of his men was to make the smaller male more comfortable, if he disagreed with them going alone then there was no reason to argue. Still being close enough to the hideout, Nikandros turned back towards the few people who were outside and simply signaled for them to follow. As they could easily assume where he was heading it took them only a moment to pick up what was necessary and catch up. -"I'll still need to get some things myself, but you have a point." He agreed with the warrior though a while had already passed since he'd spoken. The bandit could feel the subtle strain between them as well, though for him it wasn't a fear that he would tick off the other man but an awareness that he couldn't act quite as freely around him. WolfDog12
Goustetsu paused when the other did and watched him look back and signal to the other men to follow. It's not as if the two couldn't be alone while the other bandits came. They would be getting their supplies and the bandit leader an the warrior would be doing their thing. This actually made things easier for them. "Well then it gives us a mission to do together. Besides, you were going to take me to a book shop." Things felt a little lighter now that the talk had gone so smoothly and Goustetsu didn't even mind the space between the responses. This conversation was light enough that they could talk as long as the warrior was careful enough not to say that he wanted to go anywhere alone. As long as they stayed together all day then they may even be able to build back up their relationship.
ZX-MetalMonster
Nikandros shifted a bit out of boredom while they waited for the other bandits to catch up but his gaze would periodically drift to the warrior and he observed him with curiosity despite how uninteresting the situation was . Now that he knew the younger man wanted them to be on their own and focus on things other than supplies he couldn't think about much else than the warrior. -"Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about that." Nikandros assured the other man, more curious about where they would go after the book shop. He didn't have much of a plan but simply going through the village didn't seem like a bad idea as long as he and the smaller male were getting along well. It didn't take long for the group he'd called over to reach them and Nikandros didn't bother say anything as he continued walking.
WolfDog12
Goustetsu didn't mind waiting. He just stood patiently in the snow enjoying the fresh air. It was always great to be outside and it was nice to stand with Nikandros even though the two weren't really talking and it seemed that the bandit leader was growing more and more on edge with just how long it was taking for the other bandits to join the two. Goustestu turned away when the others joined and began to make his way towards the town again. "Come on, it will be lots of fun!" He hardly understood fun but what was there to expect, the warrior was only just now finding all these different emotions and learning from everything. The memory of when he was so sheltered was almost scary and he didn't want to ever feel that emotionless again.
ZX-MetalMonster
The bandits gave the warrior odd looks at his comment but Nikandros smirked softly, more willing to play along and absorb some of his enthusiasm. He lingered close to the younger man as they walked and for the most part ignored the others who were passing the time by discussing random things. -"Is there anything else you would like to have, besides the books?" Nikandros asked the warrior after some time passed in silence between them. It wasn't an issue for him to buy whatever the other man wanted as long as it was available in town.Though he didn't show it, he liked the idea of spending the day like this as well, it was an excuse to go outside but they didn't have to travel far and wouldn't be very tired once they returned.
