jo_suzaku
- i - 'Please fasten your seat belts' said the voice. The sky was blue, the clouds were white. Excited, he looked down at the town below, His amber eyes sparkling with delight. He had dreamed that this day would come. Though people gossiped and always used to lie. Independence is not the sweetest form, they said. But he took it in his stride and held his head high. He worked to the bone and made his money. Some days were hard and some, incredible. No one had a right to tell him what he had to do. Today was a special one, that was undeniable. Drawing his coat around him, he left the plane. He strained his eyes against the sun. The air was summery, the wind blew on. But Himura couldn't see anyone. Maybe this time, the people were right? The sinking feeling in his heart, he couldn't shake off. What had he done to deserve this fate? If he returned home alone, he would only be scoffed. He made his way through the terminal and picked up his bags. Standing outside the airport, Himura looked around. Then, it decided to rain. Big droplets pelleted the stone. He was cold, lonely and sad, a stranger in a strange land. 'Looking for someone?' said the voice. The sky was dark, the clouds were grey. Blinking back tears, he stared at the man in front of him, His amber eyes slowly lit up, driving the darkness away. - Jo -
