History:

 

The pride and joy of the New York Police Department, police detective Chase Fulton has proved his worth and, in turn, earned favorable standing amongst his colleagues, superiors, and fellow citizens. His extensive, critical thinking grants him unrivaled insight and angles; The precision and accuracy of his marksmanship is flawless; His quotient for successfully, closed cases is perfect. Chase’s reputation precedes him. As a result, his peers look to him in either admiration or envy. However, no one has dared approached him with ill intentions, due to his frankness and superiors’ favoritism.

 

Contrary to his expectations for a respectable life ordered with routine and perfectionism, Chase’s life was thrown into disarray, five years later. Chase was assigned to train his new partner—freshly recruited, starry-eyed Caleb Fox. Despite Chase’s solo, work ethic, he reluctantly allowed young Caleb to shadow him in the field and gradually handle formalities and paperwork. During Caleb’s case debut, he fell victim to his blinding naivety and was killed by a target feigning innocence.

 

After the loss of Chase’s partner, the department’s opinion of the uncanny, C.F. duo darkened into rumors and doubtful looks. His superiors began to suspect him of misinforming and abandoning his partner. In order to clear his name and rid himself of guilt, Chase picked up a case yet to be solved by anyone. Though, this case may draw his streak of closed cases to an end.

History:

 

Born into a wealthy household with high expectations and standards, Felix was forced into a diverse array of extra curricular activities, in addition to his advanced academics. Despite graduating from a prestigious high school at the top of his class and receiving acceptance letters to many esteemed universities, Felix never enrolled to further his education. To escape the stressful and competitive environment of his household, he applied for a full-time position at a local café. Reluctantly, his parents—though against his decision—provided him with an upscale apartment. In rejection of the mannerisms he developed all his life, he embraced a rebellious personality, to forget his past lifestyle. However, his whole life he has always had an intimidating demeanor, resulting in his kind efforts often misunderstood. Fortunately, his co-worker and future friend understands his intentions.

Medium-length, silver hair that is slicked back, worn down, or loosely gathered into a short ponytail. Usually wears a white, long-sleeved, dress shirt with a tie; black pants; black blazer; dark, dress shoes; fingerless gloves; and eye patch. Outdoor attire consists of a long, dark, trench coat splattered with questionable, red stains; and a scarf of sentimental value. Equipment includes (but is not limited to) enchanted, dual pistols, enchanted crossbow, an assortment of potions, and a sealing spell.

History:

 

Born into a poor household, Archer was exposed to a never-ending onslaught of struggle, disappointment, and tragedy. At a young age, an unknown illness took the lives of his parents—the only family and people who cared of his existence. Holding a grudge against the unfortunate circumstances that contributed to his parents' demise, Archer swore to never let social standing take anything precious from him again.

 

Instead of transferring to an orphanage and attending school, Archer relied on thievery to sustain a free, independent lifestyle. One day, he attempted to steal from a demon hunter but was caught. That fateful encounter marked another turning point in his life.

 

The demon hunter took Archer under his wing and taught him his trade of hunting evil entities. Reluctantly, Archer also attended school, and much to everyone's surprise, was so advanced that he earned a high school diploma at the commendable age of 13. However, his misunderstood endeavors to aid the weak and innocent led to a fight (deemed an accident by adults) that ended with him damaging his right eye. The incident decreased Archer's trust in even the sincerest of people.

 

With more free time on his hands, Archer shadowed his mentor on various missions, honing his skills as well. Unfortunately, one mission proved fatal for his mentor, and Archer was alone, once more.

 

In the underworld, Archer became a renowned hunter and very wealthy from generous rewards. Despite his vision-impairment, his long and short-ranged marksmanship was rumored to be unrivaled. He also picked up skills in magic and enchantments, learning from the research his mentor left behind. As an adult, he gradually built some stability in his rather dangerous life and fell in love. However, before he could finally dream of a happy future, such bliss was trampled. A demon had brutally murdered his finance to shreds. All the money and riches he earned would never bring them back.

 

Blinded by vengeance, Archer now seeks out the demon that shattered his naïve values.

Appearance:

Tall stature. Slender build with toned, muscle definition (irrelevant, due to mechanical strength). Pale complexion. Blank, magenta eyes. Short, silver hair. Attire usually consists of a white, long-sleeve, dress shirt; navy, sweater vest; black slacks; and dark brown loafers. A faint, serial code and concealed, access panel is located on the back of his neck.

 

Personality:

Klutz. Frank. Curious. Protective. Loyal. Practical. Stubborn. Aloof.

 

History:

Originally manufactured as a highly intelligent droid (HID), Lance initially belonged to an elite family of scientists. He assisted in their research and served them as a servant. Those were tranquil years, until Lance received one-sided attraction from the family’s mother. When her feelings weren’t reciprocated and her husband became aware of the matter, Lance was accused of dividing the family and was shortly abandoned.

 

As advancements in android technology were achieved, Lance became increasingly unfavorable. For several years, he went from owner to owner, often abused and bitterly abandoned with the public’s rising demands and expectations.

 

Lance’s last owner—a terminally ill patient—placed a request for Lance to be modified into a humanoid, simulation droid (HSD). Their dying wish was to end Lance’s despairing cycle and guarantee him a happy life.

 

Although Lance was upgraded in many areas, his HID core couldn’t be tampered with. As a result, his lifespan remained unchanged. In addition, the alterations didn’t damage his memories. Now equipped with human emotions, Lance reflected on his previous circumstances with a jaded outlook on humans.

 

Because he is the first, dated android to be integrated with a newer system, Lance is sent to a random person to gather data for his look-alike creator—primary inventor of the android unit.

Carver Hemlock

Appearance:

Medium stature. Slim build. Pale complexion. Narrow, blue eyes. Parted bangs and long, dark hair usually pulled back into a low ponytail. Forced to always wear the clothes he died in—a different, high school uniform and casual sneakers. Reaping equipment of choice is a katana.

 

Personality:

Indifferent. Insensitive. Asocial. Practical. Solemn. Lazy.

 

History:

Due to an irresponsible, grim reaper’s mix up, Carver died sooner than his fate scheduled. Because his life ended prematurely, he was compensated with the choice of becoming a grim reaper himself or accepting the situation. Angry at the card the universe had dealt him, Carver accepted his new purpose, seeking vengeance on the reaper responsible. However, immediately after his existence was reassigned, Carver’s human memories were erased, including his strong desire for retribution. The purpose of this measure was to prevent emotions and the human condition from influencing reapers’ judgements.

 

For several years, Carver underwent much training and shadowed fellow reapers. Once he was deemed ready, he was sent into the field to prove his worth. His superiors were impressed with his natural talent for reaping souls and the profound ability to adapt and succeed in any situation.

 

It wasn’t long before Carver was promoted to supervising reaper of Japan. By setting new records and implementing a more efficient system for organizing reapings, Carver quickly gained the respect of many, fellow reapers.

 

Nowadays, Carver abandons his post in the office to hone his skills in the field, leaving documentation and other formalities to his reluctant subordinates. Currently, one of his many assignments includes waiting to harvest a high school student stricken with a terminal illness.

Medium stature. Slim build. Pale complexion. Sharp, red eyes. Short, green hair with long bangs. Always wears the school uniform: white, dress shirt with long-sleeves rolled up; pale, sweater vest; dark slacks; and brown loafers. Usually wears reading glasses, when studying.

 

Personality:

Cold. Asocial. Tactless. Lazy. Keen. Lenient.

 

History:

From the day he was born, Addison was always plagued with bad luck. Because he was a misfortune magnet, he was eventually outcast by his family and left to endure struggles on his own. Everyday, he faced an onslaught of ill omens and accidents. It was a miracle that he survived this long and hadn't dragged his family down with him.

 

Within a few years, Addison adjusted to his dangerous life and was able to avoid accidents with ease. However, his exposure to misfortune resulted in the development of a pessimistic personality. Although his peers steered clear of him because of negative rumors, Addison also isolated himself for everyone's sake.

 

Now a senior in high school, Addison seems to have an increase in the amount of usual, bad luck. Though he continues to survive each random encounter with ease, he is concerned, for each incident has become increasingly dire.

Short-medium stature. Slender build. Pale complexion. Sharp, hazel eyes. Short, unruly, auburn hair and unkempt bangs. A star-like birthmark on his hipbone.

 

Royal, ceremonial uniform consists of a long-sleeve, blue, dress shirt; white pants; black belt; tucked, white, double-breasted jacket with gold embellishments and ornate cuffs; black scarf fastened with crimson brooch; white gloves; maroon cloak with fur-trim and the heraldic cross of the Cross monarchy; and leather boots. He has yet to formally receive his crown.

 

Usual attire is his blue, dress shirt; white pants; black belt; white waistcoat/vest; and leather boots. A rapier is often sheathed at his waist.

 

Personality:

Naive. Gullible. Reckless. Stubborn. Soft-hearted. Idealist. Envious. Selfless.

 

History:

Eden Cross—illegitimate son of King Oswald and an unidentified courtesan—was raised from birth in the royal palace, without knowledge of his origins. Although palace retainers kept their dutiful promise of keeping his lineage a secret from the masses, Eden was privately subjected to clandestine discrimination: A majority of the royal family and elites outcasted him, including his father. Throughout his lonely childhood, Eden strived in his studies and practices, to impress everyone. Unfortunately, his achievements were often shadowed by his older, half-brother and true heir to the throne—Liam Cross. Eventually, Eden adopted a rebellious character, in a desperate attempt to steal attention.

 

Now, Eden's motivation to win favor in the Kingdom of Blackwood has declined. Henceforth, he often sneaks out of the palace and roams the town squares. As a result, a personal knight was appointed to watch over and train him to be a respectable heir. Because Eden's identity remains unknown to the masses, he is able to interact with commoners, without being recognized.

At work, wears a white, short-sleeved coat with dark sash; black apron; white pants; and headband/bandanna over forehead. Occasionally pins back bangs and wears glasses, when studying.

Bold. Reliable. Hard-working. Loyal. Reckless. Compassionate. Warm/Social.

 

History:

 

As the eldest of several siblings in a single-parent household, Shaun Baker took initiative with extra responsibilities, at a young age. As a result, he grew up to be a very dependable guy.

 

In high school, Shaun was an athletic ace. When he wasn't on the field or court, he volunteered for odd jobs and staff requests. He garnered school-wide respect that way, even if he struggled with academics.

 

However, even his upstanding reputation couldn't save him from his bold recklessness. During his senior year, Shaun was drawn into a fight, to protect a childhood friend. Though the odds were uneven, he managed to hold his own, until the brawl escalated. Ultimately, the fight drifted onto the school's pool deck and Shaun (who can't swim) nearly drowned. Formal punishment was delivered by administration, and the instigating students were expelled. The incident was traumatic for Shaun.

 

Now, Shaun juggles college curriculum and helping out at his family's traditional bar. Though he wanted nothing to do with his family's business, Shaun became the head chef there, as though predestined by his last name.

Recognition pin fastened to vest. Sometimes ties hair back into a short ponytail, with white ribbon.

Compassionate. Selfless. Gentle. Pacifist/Nonviolent. Idealist.

 

History:

 

His sixth sense recognized at a very young age, Christopher Clemens was groomed to be a clairvoyant. He had little to say in the matter and was forced to meet everyone's expectations. As a result, he became ostracized by his peers and rejected his fate, in the beginning.

 

As Christopher's senses honed over time, his talents garnered recognition and approval, from criminal investigators and paranormal researchers alike. Soon, his paranormal aid was sought after by many. He was taken to various sites and scenes, to shed new light on overlooked information. Several, cold cases were successfully closed, thanks to his critical contributions. The widespread approbation earned him a prestigious pin of recognition from the elite community.

 

Now, Christopher accepts his destiny. For him, helping the forgotten rest in peace is satisfying enough. He occasionally works alongside detectives and law enforcement, when cases are in danger of going cold. From time to time, he also gets drawn into dangerous predicaments and odd jobs. However, his selflessness is often abused by others. Not everyone acknowledges his achievements nor the validity of his abilities.

 

Sometimes blinded by idealism, Christopher isn't always aware of his own, harsh realities. Always prioritizing others causes him to neglect his own well-being. Though he wishes to move out, he still lives with his parents at home. He mistakes their manipulative intentions for dependency. Unable to detach himself from spirits' tragic stories and those he couldn't save, Christopher also carries a lot of emotional baggage that burdens him as nightmares.

 

A loyal foxhound—Hunter—never leaves his side.
