WolfDog12
Merlin was able to take notice of how different Arthur was acting at dinner. What happened to him? They were joking around like usual just before the bath.... oh.... The warlock realized he probably said something rather stupid which was why the prince was acting the way that he was. Great, now he had to fix this... or hope it didn't fade into tomorrow... Gauis was the first to come to Merlin's mind as he thought about what had to be done. Fine... he will do the right thing here. Once dinner was over and Arthur returned to his room, Merlin followed after him and started talking while putting him to bed. "You know, you're probably not the worst prince to exist... I mean, sure you have your moments but you're strong and you do care for your people very much. That is certainly princely." Merlin could tell from one look on Arthur's face that the prince wanted him gone. "I'm just saying. Good night." He rushed out of the room just to be sure nothing was thrown at him. alexia__
Although the room was dark, anyone watching could see as Arthur slid into the blankets and covered his face, probably to hide a small smile or a blush. His body slept like a rock, but it wasn't until early in the morning that he began to toss slightly the covers slightly slipping. The morning sun snuck through the window illuminating the blonde haired prince. His chest was uncovered and his hair feel nicely around his long lashes. His chest moved softly at the rhythm of each breath, each time illustrating the muscles of his stomach which was also uncovered.
WolfDog12
Merlin hurried in the room feeling a bit late. The prince had to get ready for practice! The warlock quickly drew back the blinds to brighten the room and allow the full of the sunlight to pour in. He then grabbed the place of breakfast he placed on the table on his way in, and prepped it for Arthur. "Rise and shine, your Highness," He said in that usually preppy tone that typically annoyed the prince. "You should probably eat breakfast quickly because you're going to be late to practice... Your father also wants to talk to you before you go out. Seems there has been a strange rumor and he just wants you to hear it out as well," Merlin explained. The villagers hadn't had the chance to tell the king that a magical beast was seen roaming about the woods and attacked a nearby village.
alexia__
"Can't you think of anything new to say?" frowned Arthur at the light hitting his eyes. He was momentarily blinded but he knew Merlin was moving around due to the sound of his shoes "every morning it is the same thing?" Arthur continues as he reaches for some bread which his stomach instantly thanks him for a he swallows. 'Should I throw something at him' he asks himself as the same dumb rose and shine keeps repeating in his head. Slightly irritated Arthur stands and walks towards the pot with water for his face. "W-why is this water so cold?" He asks Merlin as he washes his face also wetting the tips of his hair " I could freeze to death with this" As the day continued Arthur payed a short visit to his father whose concern had seem to grow. "What is the subject of your call father?" He asks politely "Arthur glad to se you're well..... I've been looking into the family your new recruit um..." "Lancelot?" added Arthur seeing as to how his father did it even bother with the name "Ah yes Lancelot, regarding his family there has been a sudden question of the boys lineage" Puzzled Arthur questioned what his father was getting at "you mean to say he's not who he is?" " I mean to say faking nobility is a grave crime" And there it was, the real reason behind the conversation money. Lancelot was far better than any noble boy added to the army despite talent or not, it was just handed to them. Arthur could almost taste his own anger but refused to state anything. 'Everything is always money' he thought
WolfDog12
Merlin tilted his head for a moment thinking before focusing back on the prince. "Alright. Shake a leg," Pauses to judge Arthur's reaction. "Up and at 'em. Let's have you lazy daisy. Anything?" Clearly these weren't any better than using the same thing every day. In fact, he probably only made this worse since Arthur was now looking at him with the most concerned look as if he was a kicked puppy or something. Well whatever. The warlock took a quick breath and focused on gathering the prince's clothes as he washed his face. "Oh come on, it's not that cold. Besides, we don't have time to get it warmed up, you're already running late. Now," He didn't even finish the sentence as he simply held up the prince's clothes to help dress him. Once he was ready to go, Merlin followed Arthur to go meet with his father. The warlock was also quite curious as to what it was and he always seemed to follow. Once Merlin heard that Lancelot's secret had been discovered, he could feel his heart in his throat. What could the king do? Would Lancelot be killed or locked up? The only thing Merlin could hope was the king and Arthur showed some kind of kindness or mercy. At the same time, the warlock knew what he did was wrong and it was all his fault for creating that fake document. Of course he would be caught and yet, Lancelot had warned him not to and yet, Merlin did it anyway. Damn, he was nervous. Merlin slipped out as quickly as possible and ran off to go warn Lancelot and try and get him to escape.
alexia__
It didn't take long for Lancelot's secret to leave the hall room where the king and Arthur spoke. Of course his father would call upon the family and ask of Lancelot, as they would have it there was no son with that name. It feel upon the king to dismiss Lancelot despite anyone's protest but he was not hurt not imprissoned just simply asked to leave which in anyone's eyes was a blessing. It was a shame to Arthur how such talent was imposed upon someone who would not be able to put it to good use. Lancelot would've been by far a better knight than any noble he had ever met. From above the castle he stood with Merlin watching the man walk through the court yard.
WolfDog12
Merlin stood beside the prince and watched as the great Lancelot walked away. It was a shame since he was probably one of the greatest knights Camelot has ever seen. Oh well, he could have stayed but he said that he had to prove to himself that he was worthy. Who was Merlin to stop him? This man knew what he was doing after all. Of course, before he left, someone came rushing over to see him. It was Gwen. Merlin couldn't help but glance over at Arthur who seemed to be watching them rather closely. He frowned a little wondering if the prince really did have feelings for the girl. "You know, she really is beautiful.... if you don't do something, you'll lose her," Merlin tried to sound supportive but the words just felt like vomit to him. Why was that? Why did he want to keep them apart? He honestly had no feelings for Gwen.... oh.... The young warlock couldn't help but think about that one time Arthur and him got a little... close... Crap. Merlin turned and ran out the room without an explanation or anything and ran as far from the prince as he could given the time.
alexia__
"Mhhh they seem awfully friendly" states Arthur as he watches the glances Gwen and Lancelot give each other. Slightly he hope there was nothing there, heartbreak wasn't exactly easy. His thoughts can go a stop as Merlin mentioned the girls looks "s-say you...." but he couldn't finish his thoughts before Merlin ran off. 'What's with him' thought Arthur As he walked down the hallway it occurred to him that due to status Merlin and Gwen might be .... close. It bothered him a little he brushed it off. "No way Merlin can get girls" he chuckles
WolfDog12
Merlin simply ran off someplace where he could be alone for a while. He grabbed his bag and went to the woods looking for herbs for Gaius. Why not, it was the perfect time to be alone. He was out walking around and stopped someplace away from prying eyes. Part of him wanted to use magic since he was alone but something kept him from doing anything stupid.... For now at least. Honestly, there were times that the young warlock just wanted to give away his secret and tell Arthur... but, if he found out, Uther would have him killed for sure. The male sat out in those woods for a while before realizing he had other duties to preform... That sucks. He huffed and finished gathering a few things before finally returning to the castle. He wasn't sure why he went out there and only thought about his secret but maybe he just wanted to admit everything to the one he had feelings... wait but did he? Sure... Arthur was cool and all but did he actually have feelings for him?
alexia__
With what he could only guess to be his best face Arthur sat silently in his room his finger taping impatiently on the table in front of him. Apples decorated the mahogany colored wood a shadow spread across the table from the nearby window. It was nearly sun down. 'Where is he' told Arthur to himself his teeth grinning as he kept patient. After Merlin disappeared Arthur took it as a simple joke, perhaps the other boy had been upset regarding Gwen, yet after Arthur called for him several time no one seemed to know where his man servant had gone. "Do you realize how bad you've made me look" he murmured to himself pulling back a few strands of hair. Not only that but once he had asked Gaius he simply said 'maybe he's at the pub' "Freaking drunk! I'll show you" said Arthur pouring wine on a cup and setting it in the center of the table. Today he would teach Merlin a lesson
